The department of transportation knows how to SCAM you!!!! If you have a court appointment at the Courthouse, the parking RIGHT next to it is 1 hour parking!!! However sometimes your court appt is 10 minutes and sometimes over an hour!!! And they KNOW that Phone usage is NOT allowed in the court room!!! I CONTESTED IT BUT IT WAS UPHELD.... They probably do this to hundreds of people every year!!! SHAME ON YOU PASADENA!!!!!

They are taking complete advantage of new residents with this overnight parking permits. Ive applied 3 times now:1st time was denied because I was still updating my registration to match my new address. Showed all the documents that I was making efforts to change, but the DMV was taking their time in updating my information. Sure. Understandable.2nd time was denied because my lease says I have a 1 car garage which makes me ineligible for a street parking permit. My garage barely fits a compact car. It is currently used for storage and I have a mid-sized truck that DOES NOT FIT into the garage. Maybe it I shaved a half inch off either side...Each application is $31 I believe. If you want the appeal, they charge you an additional $100. They make it a point NOT TO CALL to try and resolve your case because it will prolong the process. Its been 4 months now of trying.Note: Many of my neighbors have to park on the street for the same reasons. I know for a fact that they park overnight without annual permits or even temporary permits. Somehow, my vehicle is the only one ticketed.Pasadena is a beautiful and affluent city. I WANT to give you my money and PAY for a parking permit. But I guess you can make more money by continuing to ticket people. Makes sense.

Before new years I parked on a meter parking. I looked at the sign and there is probably 3 diferrent signs up, so I thought maybe ask a police officer. I was informed at the meter til 12am and shouldnt be a problem. After leaving a lounge I was cited a parking violation. I wrote this to contest my ticket at department of transportation website. I looked for the police officer that misinformed me of the parking citation. There is a correction police can sign off for certain situations and sargeant padilla would not correct the citation for asking for help.Couple days ago my ticket violation was upheld. I went to the dept yesterday, I walked in the window and asked for a hardship form and they wouldnt hand me one. Second I waited an hour and half to try to talk to the manager. I asked the manager if they can change the decision due the fact I was informed. On the upheld letter there was a sign and I should have read it. Even after asking a police officer? To Protect and to Serve. I tried showing her the email from sargeant padilla saying it is not a criminal case. Smh. I never got to point out in the email which states show mission first, the people. How does that assure me of my right by asking a police officer and being misinformed.
