Although I have never tried authentic and traditional Italian food, I must say olive garden is delicious for its amazing food. I have tried many of their recipes but my personal fav is the shrimp Alfredo and chicken gnocchi soup. Customer service and waiters are also really good
Food is what youd expect from olive garden. Decent but nothing noteworthy. The wait staff however left much to be desired. They simply would not enter the section I was sitting in to take orders. Ordered on the tablet, but I didnt get breadsticks until after the entrees. Appetizers came out with the entrees.
Ordered 4 meals that came with soup or salad, but only got salad for 3 meals and no soup for the 4th meal. Honestly service seems slow, but the server who served us was polite and attentive. Other than the food being Mediocre and the missed item, hopefully next time it will be better.
Great food but very poor customer service. Upon entering the store, there was not a host or anyone to greet us. It’s okay, no problem with us. However, when someone actually comes to the front, she doesn’t even make eye contact with us or acknowledge us. A simple “Hi, I’d be right with you” would’ve sufficed. Moreover upon walking out, I asked one of the servers “ma’am do you have any of the chocolate mint candies”, the server doesn’t even answer my question she just goes ahead end hands me the candy. Needless to say, we will not be back.
Its a hit or miss with them. This time my family of 5 were all there and everyone got their food except for me. I waited politely, but after 25 mins my family was done eating and I flagged down the manager to tell her to cancel my order. She said she would, take care of it which I thought was canceling my order instead she brought my food. Which sucked because my family is all waiting for me to eat now! Dumb. And she never took my food off the bill as a my bad we Fd upI just paid it and left. Not going back to this one again. They missed the ball here. Hope it doesnt happen to you.
A lot of the things I used to order are no longer on the menu and the things that have stayed are not the same. The carbonara was not carbonara they had before it was almost like it had jar Alfredo sauce on it. The staff was very nice but the food has gone to trash for sure. I dont really blame the staff its changes on the corporate level it seems.
Our dinner was So delicious! Bread was soft and warm. Salad was crispy and fresh. Shrimp was very tasty. Appetizers were awesome and the kids ate their entire meals. Everything came out in great time as expected. 1st time to that location. Everyone was so attentive. That was most appreciated, since we had 2 young boys with us who were wiggle worms.
The food and service in Olive garden is good but the reason for one star is the wait time. I called upon for reservation and they told me first come first serve, no reservation and also mentioned about waitlist. I added myself to waitlist and was late by 5 min due to traffic on Fridays. When checking in at restaurant they didnt find me in waitlist since I was late by 5 min. I had to wait another 50 min to get the table.
Great service, must try the melon and peach Sangrias. Had not been in awhile, but garlic bread sticks are still the best. Shrimp Fettuccine was delicious. When staff is good it makes you want to come back. Gets crowded so get there early if you are with a large crowd.PJ
Good thing we came here for dinner hungry. But hungry as we were, I only ate a bit of my entrée as portions were generous. Calamari was yumm, Shrimp Scampi Fritta was so delicious, Salad was fresh, vegetarian Minestrone soup was good too! Oh the fresh soft breadsticks...excuse the carb overload! 😄
I went there today with my daughter and we had are you can eat soup and salad and she created her own pasta. The service was lousy and the server he was not a friendly. When the food came the pasta was cold and they just put warm sauce on top the gnocchi soup was ok but it took a long time for the food to come out we had to ask three times for our garlic bread.Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant if you want real Italian food just doesn’t cut it for me. Very unhappy with the food and service.
Olive gardens customer service has always been good, but their food has dropped so much. Lasagna tastes mushy and plain, spaghetti tastes worse than jollibees. Soup and salad is ok, but most entrees, are just so bad for their price. I used to come here a lot with my friends in high school. Maybe my taste got better over the years, but their foods taste has gone down thats for sure.
Ive been coming to this Olive Garden since I was a kid. They have a decent selection of Italian dishes, new specials and drinks, Over the years Ive had both great and terrible experiences. If there was ever a problem, the management staff is keen to remedy it. One thing hasnt changed - the pasta needs more sauce. Ask for extra sauce.
Normally, I love Olive Garden’s food. They have created a great menu with wonderful flavors. But my problem is that their reservation service is god awful. My family and I arrived at this Olive Garden around 2 since we were tired and found that this place was the nearest. Beforehand, we set a reservation so that they could seat us once we arrived. All of us were excited to have a pleasant lunch, even though it was a little late. To our surprise there were still many people outside waiting for tables. We told the front desk that we have a reservation for four, expecting to be seated soon. But they told us that they focus on the in person customers first, it was first come first serve. I totally get this, and it’s fair to the people who waited for their table. But now we had to sit down for another hour to wait for a table even though we had a reservation. My question is this: “what’s the point of having the option of booking a reservation if you still have to wait for all the in person orders?” Please fix this problem, it’s quite frustrating.
Been visiting olive garden from atleast 12 years. This is always my goto place for Italian food. My favorites here are salad and soup. Usually we always get unlimited soup or salad. We visited this one, 4 adults and 4 kids. Our of 4 kids, we had 2 infants. We ordered 4 entrees. As we are group of 8 (they counted event smaller kids) they said they will not be giving salad and soup refill. They gave only one bowl of salad, and said both were included in it. Worst ever service I received so far.. very disappointed.
This place is great if you like waiting 15-20 minutes each and every time you go in the middle of the afternoon for a table when they only have 6 other tables in play at the time. This place is great if you like to have to continually ask for the right amount of silverware. This place is great if you like getting half of your entres with you appetizers even though you specifically asked for the appetizers first, then having to wait 20 more minutes for the other half of your entres for the rest of your party. This place is great if you expect to consistently be dissatisfied.
I love the Olive Garden chain of restaurants. This one is Fremont is really nice. Rachael’s service was impeccable tonight. I love the breadsticks, salad, minestrone soup and vegetarian Cavatappi pasta with Parmesan Pesto sauce and bell peppers. My little one loves the kids menu activities and the characters like Bene Breadstick, Tonya Tomato, Ricky Ravioli, Gina Grape etc.
I took my friend in my wife to Olive Garden tonight and had a reasonably good time. The food was properly made and reasonably well seasoned. My buddy told me that meatballs and spaghetti was a little Bland but not bad it was pretty good. I have the afraido sauce and breadsticks and a salad. A little-known secret. If you order a boat of alfredo sauce is $4. But if you order a bowl of alfredo sauce you get four times as much for $2 more. My wife had a three-cheese pasta on angel hair pasta. She loved it. We had the server Fernando tonight and he was pretty darn confident. Towards the end of our meal however he got a big table and became a little bit less attentive. But he still did a good job and we left a 15% tip. Overall I recommend this place.
My friends and I were planning on going out, and knowing full well that we were going out at peak dining hour--(6pm on a Saturday) we called ahead to get a reservation/get our name on the list. The woman who answered the phone rudely told my friend that we dont do that here. and hung up on us. I imagine that they are EXTREMELY busy, because they didnt seem to need us to come in; and I imagine, they dont really need anyone else to come in either.Ive worked in a restaurant all the way through COVID, and its been extremely stressful. Im sorry for the bad day that they are having, and I dont want to make it any harder. But there is a way of talking to customers, and there is a way of handling a customer phone call. This was not it. BTW: Olive Garden does have a waitlist.
The incident occurred at 2021-09-19 4~6pm.My wife and I ordered one chicken parmigiana with Salad and one chicken alfredo with soup to share with my 2 kids (both are 6 years old). The salad amount was a little bit small, so we quickly finished it and asked for refill. However, the waiter told us the salad refill should be only for the person who ordered chicken parmigiana. If you wanted to refill salad and shared with other people, you should order all you can eat salad, which would have an extra charge. Then he said this time I would make an exception for you, but please follow the rules next time. What came across my mind was: if I refilled the salad, my kids and my wife were only able to watch me eating it. So I rejected the refill because I felt like I was a beggar.I came to the front desk to ask around about the rules. They just told me you should go back to your waiter. Looked like they just wanted to kick the ball. I requested to see the manager.Manager then came out to talk to me. He confirmed the rules were quite right. He emphasized Olive Garden already offered a really good bargain then other restaurant (e.g. Apple Bee, Chevy ...). In other words, he implied you should not complain and you should be grateful.I knew I could not win this war so I just said I acknowledged it. But from customers point of view, I knew I was not right, but I was really not happy either. For people who intend to bring kids to Olive Garden, please be aware of that if your kids want to share the salad or bread refill, dont forget they should also order their main dishes in advance. For Olive Garden management, maybe you want to remind customers about this all you can eat salad or bread rules before customers start ordering, otherwise, guess many people will end up like me being shocked today.Olive Garden has been my favorite Western/Italian restaurant. But after todays experience, I will think twice before going back.Maybe Olive Garden also suffers inflation due to COVID-19 pandemic, so they have to be a little stingy for salad to rescue their business. Then I sincerely apologize for not being a very thought customer. However, based on my observation, their business still looks pretty good (For a customer to get a table, the average waiting time is one hour).Thank you all for listening to my complaining and suggestion. ^_^
For all the jokes about Olive Garden not being real Italian food and whatnot, its actually pretty good.Their house salad is hands-down the best salad Ive ever eaten. No joke. I recommend buying their dressing and pouring it over your grocers iceberg lettuce. It doesnt taste the same, but its still good.I love their Tour of Italy. High calories, but thats why you keep the leftovers for the next days meal.
Went here a week ago with a girlfriend. The wait time wasnt too bad. It was about 40 minutes. There is no waiting allowed inside. I was fine with that since it was a nice day. Our food was delicious! I had the chicken marsala and the minestrone soup. For dessert I had the chocolate mousse cake. My friend had the salad and chicken and shrimp carbonara. I sampled a piece of chicken from her dish and it was incredibly tender and full of flavor. I will be ordering that next time! Our server was Christian and he was awesome!
The salad is a must-try! Best restaurant salad ever. The dressing they use comes mixed into the salad. Its very light and refreshing, and doesnt overtake the taste, only enhances. Suggest getting a large family bowl if you have three or more. And, you get free refills of the salad. Enjoy coming here every time. Although the restaurant is nearly always very busy, the wait staff are always prompt and courteous.
The food is always great!! If you order anything (to go) with Alfredo Sauce, its usually dry by the time you get home. I live 6min away from the Mowry location and this has always been the case. I dont mind adding a side order of Alfredo because its really delicious and they add a couple of breadsticks with it! The curbside pickup is also very convenient and efficient. Just make sure to check your order before you go.
Seems to be not organized. They forgot an entree in my order and did not care about my request for extra sauce. The portions are really small for $21 entree. Called and complained, the manager acknowledged the error and offered me a refund for the missed entree. However, didnt pay attention to the other 2 issues. My suggestion to others: Check the order in the parking lot before you drive off.
The food was wonderful. The black Tie Mousse cake was rich and delicious. The service was also great. The manager was very nice to visit our table to check how our meal was. The bathrooms however was dirty and unkempt. No paper towels. My wife mentioned it once before our meal and as we were leaving nothing was done to correct. Other than that everything was excellent.
Usually have a great experience here. They always handle my custom order. The only problem Ive experienced is with slow service when its packed and excessive wait time vs. what we were told. Ive been with groups for birthday parties and its slower being served, like they should add another server to help for large groups. Ive been with kids and they enjoy the kids menu items. I like the fried beef ravioli appetizer and we usually get a double order to share between four people. The flavored teas and limonatas are nice options. I like the kiwi melon. We always ask for oil and vinegar to dip our bread sticks. Ive been a few times for the unlimited pasta bowls, but I just cant eat more than one bowl.
I have visited this restaurant many times over the past 10+ years. I have always been satisfied. The atmosphere is casual and pleasant. It is a family restaurant and one can dine alone as well. The employees are courteous and attentive. The food is always served in a timely manner and I have never had a problem with my order. There are many appetizers, entrees and deserts to choose from. Also all you can eat salad and bread sticks. They have a small bar area and a wide variety of wine, and they offer a sample of their wine. Prices are fair as you get alot of good tasting Italian food for your money. The weekend evenings can get pretty busy so sometimes there will be a small wait time. But in my opinion well worth the wait!
Very bad experience...female receptionist rude 05/28 dinner time...we were 6 feet apart at waiting area. ..rudely asked us to go out in a high pitched voice...other restaurants dont ask their guests to wait outside when they r social distancing...not greeted when we entered the premises...ur food might be great but do something with the hostess attitude...our turn came 90 minutes . U think ur guests will wait for that long???
This chain has gone through many changes over just the past couple years. While the quality of service is still great, and the few remaining menu items appear to have been given more attention, Olive Garden doesnt draw the same crowds that it used to. And it does feel like this chain is just waiting for the final day. For all the changes and adjustments that have been made, I still only liked parts of my meal and not all of it. The chicken used was low quality, but the seasoning used in each dish at our table tasted a bit more like it should than in past visits. Overall, I give it 3 stars because the salad and breadsticks are still one of my favorite combos of all time, and one of the best tasting meals this chain has ever created. The rest has been mediocre at best.
It was a little busy, but we found seats at the bar and were seated at a table before finishing our first drink. The food was fantastic. I hag the chicken and shrimp carbonara and my wife had the shrimp scampi. Service was great and off course the bread sticks were great😀
My waitress was very nice. Always top the cheese on my pasta and always brought out more bread stick when it ran out. I am definitely impress with the service. It was a busy day and I had no reservations yet I only wait 20 min for a table (definitely not bad). Food was good. Sauces on my pasta was the right amount. The salad had good amount of dressing too, it was not dreach in dressing.
Arrived about 7:30 p.m. and was told it would be about a 15-minute wait for our party of four. Was actually about 30 minutes even though the restaurant was half empty. Saying the food was mediocre is generous. It was downright awful for the most part. The highlight was our server who was top-notch, very pleasant and very efficient / attentive. Thus the two stars.
Uses to order from this location with no issues. Then, the website screwed up. The phone order took 3 tries. They have indoor dining, but need you to read the credit card number over the phone. Later, they had difficulties pronouncing SRE even after I gave them NATO alphabet descriptions. They seem to be working hard to disappoint customers!
Not great. Only the salad, bread sticks and cocktails are descent. I havent had a good meal at any Olive Garden for years. Its over priced for the level of food quality. The menu is full of cheesy or saucy dishes. I went there for a family event. I would never choose Olive Garden.
Love their unlimited soup, breadstick and salad lunch special. This location can get busy during dinner hours and on weekends. Good selection of wines by the glass. Disabled parking is not close to the entrance. Bar has good bartender but the bar is rarely busy unless the line to get a table is long.
Kitchen filled my order incorrectly, left off the grilled chicken. Inexperienced waiter, convinced me that ordered it that way....until the bill came with the grilled chicken on it. Still good was good and once the bill was corrected, at a reasonable price. The suggested Tip % calculates on the bill including the TAX not just the value of the meal. My county has over 9% tax, so this is a significant inflation.
The food was average and not very tasty. The to go service was perfect. They went over each item and verified everything. The only reason they are getting the 3 stars is because if the service. They lose the other stars based on their food. If youre looking for an average microwave tasting meal then look no further.
Ordered online for drive up pickup. I was waiting in long line that did not move for 15 minutes. I walked up to see what was holding things up. There was only one employee checking orders, checking in drivers, telling them where to park, apart from the restaurant allowing people to walk up and pickup and checking those orders (who then has priority). No organization whatsoever, and a complete waste of time. I canceled my order as to not wait 1-1/2 hours to pick up food (the online order stated it would be ready in 20 minutes).
I have been going to this Olive Garden for years. The food is good. Most of the waiters are polite. The only complaint I have is with it being too noisy sometimes (but I know thats not the staffs fault). The new couches in the waiting area have improved the place. I definitely recommend the tiramisu for dessert.
The service staff at the bar there was so friendly and so on point just tending to your needs before we even asked for something. it made the whole dinner date with my hubby so enjoyable. the food was so delicious too as it always is. wondering about how mich it costs if you never been here? we spent about $59 include tax tip 1 appetizer, soup as a meal, 1 meal and 2 iced teas.
Super busy restaurant. Friendly staff. Once you walking the restaurant you have a warm fuzzy feeling, the carpet floor give it the at home feeling. This makes you feel relaxed and ready to have some good food. The light and table are very nicely layout give you a very romantic calm atmosphere. Good amount of food for the price you pay. Abit of a wait to get a table but worth it in the end. All good things come to those who wait. Happy eating.
My husband and I came here for dinner. The wait was about 25 min, but we were seated at a booth and the food came out incredibly fast. The service was excellent, our waitress giving us great recommendations, and always had our refills on drinks and breadsticks ready. I cant wait to come back!
We have been here plenty of times and its always a great experience, the salad and unlimited bread sticks are great. We are not wine people but they seem to have a large selection to choose from. The staff is freandly and the food comes out nice and hot. Good ambien and they have a bar to get you started with a few drinks while you wait.
We were a Party of 12 for a Birthday celebration.I had the shrimp scampi and it was very good. The salad and breadsticks were plentiful. All the members of our party, ate heartily, and the Birthday person enjoyed a complimentary slice of cake.Several servers lead in the Birthday song.Service was attentive and friendly.Plenty of parking in the connected lots shared with other establishments.
So happy they have a gluten free dish! But as I came to the end of my meal there were 7 pieces of different shape pasta which Im sure wasnt gluten free. Unfortunately, I must of consumed some because its day 2 of digestive inflammation. Gluten sensitive people beware!!!
Nice staff. There was a long line but, after promising to seat me in 20 minutes they called me right back. I expressed concern for the hostess well-being when the hungry mob realized they had been skipped but she laughed it off. My waitress was attentive and engaging. My food was plentiful and tasty. The only glitch was the gentleman with the little billing machine who ran up to my table, cranked out a check and quickly ran off like the late whilte rabbit of wonderland fame. I stood up and was going to make my way to the exit to find a central cashier when someone else in a hoodie and baggies offered to take my credit card for me ( just kidding, it was just a different waitress) and then my receipt was returned properly in the little fake leather folding check holder complete with pen and suggested tip table. I found it to be a bit expensive for one person but apart from the weirdness of the check presentation everything was pretty smooth, delicious and plentiful. Id go back here for sure.
Its what youd expect at Olive Garden, but surprisingly very popular even on weekday nights. The wait can be very long, we were estimated ~45 minutes and it took closer to an hour and 20. There is an official Olive Garden website where you can check the wait times but it is not accurate and probably not updated regularly. The food came out timely and we were given free dessert for a birthday--two slices of cake for our party of 7 when we were just expecting 1. You also cant go wrong with the pricing. You just fill up on soup, salad, and bread sticks, have a little of your entree and take the rest home for another meal.
This place is overpriced for what it is. We only came here because we had a gift card. The service was great (the reason for the second star) but I honestly feel like Ive had better lasagna from the frozen isle at the grocery store. I think their single best item we had wad the zuppa toscana (spelling?), but thats easy enough to make at home. We had a fried shrimp item as well that tasted overly fishy, kind of like how bay shrimp taste, but it wasnt bay shrimp. Pass.
This location has a very good ambience and long wait times as usual. A very fresh and hot bread is served and bar counter is my favorite location if I go alone to this place. They have the best ziti, ravioli. A good collection of Italian and local Cali wine. I always end the food with a cold tiramisu on a hot plate.
I was in there this afternoon for lunch and had a waitress whos name was Cindy, she was awesome and had extraordinary, superb service. I would definitely recommend this place just because of her customer service. She went beyond my expectations, she was awesome. Keep up the excellent work. People like you deserve recognition.
Food is good ... yummy ... and nice place... little expensive but yeah the quantity and quality of food will substitute everything. Their homemade bread is good as well... try their $5 cocktails ... I went to Fremont branch ... so if you also visiting in Fremont California... then please be careful of parking. Park in public place not the isolated one... and keep your belongings with yourself.
Service was fairly fast! We always go to OG for soup and salad and bread sticks. The server was very nice and polite. I believe the manager she came to our table and kind enough to ask us to complete the survey. Overall I was impressed. We have seen pretty bad Olive garden on other areas but this one felt a well managed operation. We came to this Olive Garden almost after three years, and one thing always bothered us the way parking layout is. Its super damn confusing!
Ive been to the Blossom Hill location and the Milpitas location and they both have the same consistency but in Fremont things seem to change. I dont know if its the area, holidays or the people but the food formula does not taste the same or consistent. The experience was good, welcoming and service. But the food wasnt the same as I remember it.
Olive Garden food is good however its best to eat it the same day you buy it. I have ordered their food ToGo on 3 occasions so far these last 2 months. Reheated Garlic Shrimp Scampi is not very tasty, nor is the other food items I did buy. Their spaghetti needs more sauce on it in order for this Italian to actually want to eat it cold straight from the refrigerator. Soups are yummy and their desserts are awesome. Dont get me wrong, they prepare excellent food I just have to remember to eat it the same day I buy it.
So Im ordering car side pick up to go and ask for some extra breadsticks but apparently they can only give you 2 breadsticks per entree unlike when youre eating in the restaurant and you can eat all the breadsticks you want apparently since we cannot go into the restaurant even if we asked for extra breadsticks they want to tell me sorry the to go policy is only 2 breadsticks per entree well I dont have a choice but to get it to go right now. Really I think if the customer asked for extra bread you ought to give them extra breadsticks
Sadly, we accidentally visited on a school holiday. Which apparently means, you cant have lunch, only dinner. That was disappointing. The food was good, but they didnt have the dish I wanted any longer. The chicken marsala only comes stuffed.....yuck! I used to be able to get the original version, but no longer. So, I tried the stuffed. Not happening again. As always, the breadsticks and salad were excellent as was our appetizer and served. The best part of the entree....that was the take home fettuccine. Wish I didnt have to say that, but it is true.We will eventually return, but not for that dish.
Ive always loved going to this restaurant for the bread and the pasta vigioli soup. But lately the food here has been tasting rather bland. The spaghetti with marinara was less than tasty. So was my chicken parmesan. Nevertheless since my wife and I went during early dinner hour and prices, we didnt end up paying so much for just an okay dinner. I always love the bread and the soup but the dishes need a little kick in the pants for taste.
Went to Olive Garden today around 1-1:30 for lunch. We were asked to wait for 20 minutes. When we went in, after our wait, there were so many tables empty. Why the wait, we wondered? Was it a ruse so we would want to buy appetizers and drinks? No thanks. I wanted creamy mushroom ravioli, was told “we ran out of that last night”. What, you can’t have the supplier bring in more or have a chef make more? What’s with that? “Oh, well, I guess I’ll have five cheese ziti”, I told the waiter. My husband ordered next and we waited for the order to be processed with pasta e fagioli as our soup course. Waiter returns and stated “we ran out of the soup, too”. Prices on the menu were also a dollar more per dish, than the phone ad I had just gotten that morning. So, since they were running out of everything we wanted we decided to run out of there and eat elsewhere, telling the waiter and front desk people that it wasn’t acceptable and there should be a new manager, not the manager they have, Raoul.
Food is not too bad, but customer service is excellent. Checkout is very easy.Discovered this later....I did not eat much of my entree while at the restaurant, so I took the rest home. Two days later after almost finishing it, I saw pieces of paper towel stuck to some strands of the fettuccini.
Despite the place being not very busy, our wait staff took forever to take our order. We were kept sitting and waiting. After specially asking for the bread also, they did not accomodate our request and brought it will our order. Food was not bad, but service needs improvement.
Today Nov 22, 2019 4:10 pm; I just came out of this olive garden without eating but I paid for te order to avoid any issue.I ordered a chicken and shrimp carbonara and a salad. I was told there was no more salad in the restaurant. Then 30 minutes later the server brought my order but I couldnt eat it. It was all messed up in the plate, making it look like a left over, and the plate was dirty. There was a spoon with food on the hand holding part on top of my food. It felt really nasty and I couldnt eat. It looked like they gave me someone else left over. I let the server know and I paid. I will never go back to that place again.Ps. I forgot to add that I was sitting for 20 minutes and I had to ask before they served me water
Messed up my order. Took over 45 minutes to order and got the order wrong.Only good thing was the manager ! She was awesome to take care of it or what ever was left.Servers (two different ones) are horrible (one guy just looked LIT)Did not mention that salads are unavailable till the 2nd server brought it up.Not a good experienceWill not be coming by here !Wait was ok on Friday evening about 15 to 20 mins.Parking was availableSeating inside the restaurant was also availableParty of 3
When you want pasta, you think of Olive Garden. That is where we went for my Daughters birthday dinner. I was a little disappointed because the item that I usually ordered was no longer on the menu. I chose a mushroom ravioli and didnt care too much for it, but everyone else enjoyed their meal. I love their salad and soup w/breadsticks! I give Olive Garden props. We told them it was her birthday and she was told to pick and dessert on the menu. She ordered cheesecake and several waiters brought it, singing to her!
The salad and soups are great, the stuffed Chicken Masala was cheap on the sauce , 2 mushroom slices, so I asked for extra sauce that didnt come for 20min, so I asked again and not 1 mushroom.. disappointing. Never offer to fill my water glass, not sure whats happening at the Fremont Olive Garden.
Olive Garden was the gold standard for Americanized Italian food. It still is. But at this location (or maybe the recipe has changed) the meatballs arent up to the mark. No, not the size but the taste is what has changed. The service is very good and it was a overall good dining experience. Would have given one more star but for the meatballs.
Havent been to this location in a long time. But I grew up in Newark and if i wanted good service this was ok. But if youre looking for frustrated hostess with bad service topped with mediocre overpriced food then head on over. I plan to come back again so I have reason to update this to a more positive post but I doubt thatll be the case if I run into Mollie the host with the Im to good for this job attitude. Updated to 4 starts after Megan the waitress outperformed and made dinner perfect.
We had to pay $4 for some dipping sauce for the bread sticks. The waitress didnt even tell us the price. The food wasnt very and DO NOT get the beef dumpling soup thing. It was discussing and the dumpling were undercooked and it was like eating a ball of snot. And they were gross and I had to spit it out.
First of all, as I am vegetarian and Connor eat eggs, there are very little options. Furthermore, the fettuccine Alfredo we ordered was disgusting. There was barely any sauce and the sauce there was tastes like raw flour and milk, no flavor like it advertised. Next, we ordered spaghetti with tomato sauce as the kid meal with a side of French fries. The fresh fries them selves were horrible and stale, but the pasta was the only good part of the meal. When the waiter was informed about the French fries, he kindly replaced them with fresh ones, but there were only five fries, clearly not very generous. Adding on, the waiter forgot to bring the bread sticks and water. Never coming here again.
Good service but the food isnt very tasty. They focus more on quantity over quality, I was honestly disappointed especially knowing it is an Italian restaurant! I had pasta with pesto (pesto is actually pretty good) and shrimps (they were big and tastied like water). I would have preferred to have less shrimps but have good ones!
Slow service for okay food. Every place can have an off night. But then there was this night. From the server not realizing we were sitting at one of their tables - we had to flag them down. To reminding the server what our order was (the server came back to us 5 minutes later to double check). And then when our first course of soup and salad finally arrived, it was missing the soup. Also there was a couple that sat down 15 minutes after us yet got their food - their main meal - 15 minutes before us. Kitchen management anyone? And when our meal finally came it was oversalted.y blood pressure didnt need anymore excitement at this point. So only go there if you are practicing for waiting in line at the DMV. And frankly at least at the end of your time at the DMV you get something you need.
Definitely has downgrade in food and also appearance from the Enterance.. Service in other words will be a hit or miss which goes for all restaurants of course but we had a great waitress food was ok stuff chicken with mushroom was ok but overall its fine.... 3 stars was more for appearance
Ordered online for the family and it said go to the pick-up area and the time it will be ready. Paid for for it online before I got there. So I arrived at the designated area for pickup and waited...and waited and about 15 minutes later I decided to go in and see what the situation was and home come they havent brought out my food. The girls at the front said oh let me see...yeah its ready. I ask how come nobody brought out to me they said we dont bring it out to you...what?!?! I Went to the pickup area and nobody ever helped me!! It should have said come in the restaurant to pick up your food that was order. So time I get home obviously my food is cold in a hard from sitting. Worst part is I was in my car in the designated area and they saw me out there and couldnt say anything, communication would have gone a long way.
Very disappointed. .. service not the best... brought us food with no silverware? Salad looked like it came from the bottom of the salad bowl in the kitchen. Not much to it and the lettuce was wilted and old. Food (pasta) dry and luke warm like it sat under warmer too long. Had to track her down for silverware, salt and pepper.. and a to-go container. Could have spent $65.00 elsewhere and felt like it was money well spent.
Good food and good service but a waitress charged our table for somebody elses drinks. Couldnt reverse the charge, couldnt give us cash so we at least leave. Had to hang out for another 45 minutes to have the manager give us her card to call her back in a couple days to make sure she refunded the card?! Really!? Lol, oh well, tired of sitting here, just want to leave at that point.
Service was super slow. Ordered to go and no one was there for a minute. But the hostess was amazing! She took my order for me and helped me out instead of just leaving me there waiting. THANK YOU! The to go lady was super nice too. Just work on the speed I guess 😇😇😇
Very bad service, no drinks were served after he took our order then gave us salad and bread but we had no silverware after 20 min ! We finally got silverware... our food came after 1.5 hours and it was cold soggy and over cooked there was 4 of us and we all got something different.even the frys were burnt cold and over done dried out .. we will never go there again. So much staff and they were doing nothing to help each other ..it was very frustrating
Its normally a Hit or Miss ar this Olive Garden, Ive been a customer here for over 10+ years and either way eating in or ordering to go.At this particular O.G Ive had 100% satisfactory meal! Service! And customer appreciation! (Usually at the bar. And other times like just now Ill order to go send my husband to pick it up an noticed a salad in place of the soup I had ordered. Simple mistake Maddie must have heard me wrong. So I call not expecting a soup to jump through my phone but to simply notify her of the unwanted iten so the mistake wouldnt happen again in the future since Im pregnant and love to order from them often. I was corrected with attitude, stating that the soup or salad options are complimentary an not getting the option i requested was just part of it! I then asked to understand her correctly, (so your saying your allowed to choose witch iten the customer gets after youve already taken my order? She then put me on hold for management. If you want good customer service here order there and order your food at the bar! Shame!
Food isnt the best quality but its delicious :) Wasnt a huge fan of this particular location - layout is a bit strange and staff was a bit non-caring. They brought out the food almost with the salad so it got cold while I ate the salad - often happens at Olive Gardens.
I have always liked Olive Garden restaurants and this is a pretty typical one. Good food and pleasant servers. My only problem is trying to restrain myself from eating too many breadsticks before I get my entree. We tried the artichoke fritta appetizers for the first time this time and we enjoyed them. The have a very lemony and refreshing taste.
I would not recommend. Olive garden is not how it use to be. Today i used a gift card for our meal and Im glad because none of our food was delicious or worth my $. My kids only ate their fries. My baby ravioli was cold n was awful she and ai wouldnt eat it again. I got to see the glimpse of the kitchen i was not clean and had a bad smell. I just dont see myself ever returning. Just a heads up. Today is November 19 2018. Jus in case u want to know so you dont go here.
My husband and I had dinner here on Thursday and it was a great experience. Our server Muskan , was great as well . She was confident and knew very well her menu. She answered our ,question and helped so much with our food selection . i always lived OG for their large choice of food, drinks and dessert all g with the way they serve it. But team members like Muscan can truly make a difference when dining in. Manager on duty , Raul, stoped by and greated us .Very satisfied.
I was honestly impressed.D. and I came here because I had a half marathon the following day and I felt like I should carb up. So no alcohol, nothing too sweet.I had the spaghetti and meatballs, which was perfect for what I wanted to accomplish while being tasty. The server was friendly and the table and utensils clean. There were quite a few small children, because they are tolerated by the staff better here than at your more authentic restaurants.D. had the chicken parm. A little dry but the huge salad composed of something other than shredded iceberg and a sliver or two of radicchio made up for it. More than enough food for both of us.So why not 4-5 stars? Its a corporate chain. Their attitudes toward food is unhealthy and inhumane; they care more for their stock performance than for the health and / or welfare of their customers. Our table, seats and eating / drink ware were clean but the carpet nearby showed evidence of the aforementioned rug rats. And then there was the tablet mounted to the table that offered games and other items that could be bought or something; I wasnt interested and turned the thing towards the wall so I didnt have to ignore its garish, annoying visuals. Finally their tagline is ....where we treat you like family.... who wants that? I eat out for the opposite. I want to be treated like a guest, or a dear friend. Not with the suspicion and veiled threats that are a hallmark of Family Dinners everywhere. Maybe their ad people havent had a family dinner in a while. Anyway. Go for the carbs. But leave your high hopes at home.

2022-04-22Went day time and had a long wait. The hosts & servers seemed very busy but kind when greeting. The woman in charge was quite rude to the employees and our medium size group coming to dine. There was plenty of room in the servers’ opened seating but the manager shoved our group into a back corner resulting in poor service. Food was good and I don’t fault the poor service to the server but to the manager for placing us so far away from the rest of the server’s tables. I hope the next time I visit the manager doesn’t have a breadstick shoved up her a—— 😂 Other than her, this place was 5 stars.

2021-11-17One of the best Italian restaurants around. Loved their soup, salad and bread sticks. Its spacious, customer friendly and nicely structured. Jamie was our server, and she did an awesome job (especially helping us with vegetarian selection). Would love to come here again 👍

2021-10-19I liked that they have a lot of separating walls so you are only dining next to a few people instead of the whole restaurant. Very intimate. Food was good service was great. I was disappointed that we werent offered additional bread sticks.

2022-05-24Spinach -artichoke dip is always been a big hit at this place and the drink that I love most here is spiked strawberry lemonade . Anyhow the reason that I missed one star here is our server who took a while to bring our breadsticks at first and next time too. Everytime we needed help from our server even after the food was served , they took a long time to come up.Overall food is delicious though so loved the quality of food and drinks here.

2021-09-24They told us it would be a 30 minute wait for a table but it only took 8 minutes. The food was spectacular to the oomph degree! Our server, Kalea, was on her A game! She was very kind and helpful. We had a very pleasant experience at this restaurant and would definitely go again.

2022-06-08Worst service ever! It seems like our server cares about all other customers except us. She was working on all other tables and we had to stopped her from walking away to ask her for things. Seriously, if you do not want to serve us, please let us seat somewhere else. We are here to spend our money to get the service we deserve. We waited for our entrees for 40 minutes, she did not even care. She kept saying it’s coming, 20 minutes later, nothing came out. Even the server who is working on a different area came over to offer help. In the end, we canceled the entrees. She did not apologize. She just walked way. Later the manager came to give us the meal for free. We did not take the food. We are here to spend and enjoy your service, not to get a free meal! Will never come back!!

2022-05-03Recently I visited this location on a Saturday right before Easter Sunday and Ann the manager was amazing! Originally I called ahead to place my order for pickup but unfortunately I was unable to get through to anyone. Since I had special request I needed to speak to a team member but because I could not reach anyone over the phone I had to drive in and place my order in person.Due to the inconvenience, Ann went out of her way to make things right. She even offered me a dessert and a beverage during my wait. Thank you Ann for listening to my concern and caring about my order issue and making things right I will defiantly visit this location again you made my experience so enjoyable.
