We have been the longest time residents of Northwood Place Community, and we would like to express our appreciation for the great job that Miss Melissa Matosic, Community Manager, and Miss Karina Estrada, Community Relation Representative, are doing. They always try to understand the needs of the residents and do their best in assisting and caring for them. Irvine Company should be very proud of having the excellent employees such as Melissa and Karina. My family and I love living here! The environment is safer than before. Alex, Sam and the maintenance team is nice and help me how to use the appliances. Karina Estrada, Tyler Fernandez, Renee LaFramboise are always so helpful in the office and they are so pleasant. The entire office staff always friendly and helpful. Northwood is always clean. I love it!
Northwood Place Apartment Homes is a great community. The costumer service is excellent! Mr Alan in maintenance came out to fix an issue which I realized there were several more things that need attention to. He took all the necessary time to do ALL that was needed to be fixed with a positive attitude and very professional. Excellent maintenance crew! My family loves living here because of the Northwood Place staff team makes it a very enjoyable atmosphere, friendly service, and quick to resolve any issues that arises.
I usually do not write review much but this one is first and genuine review!I stayed in this community for a year and had to move out for an upgrade.Overall experience staying in the community was good. On time handling of maintenance request, maintenance staff was very friendly. No problem with neighbor or other residents.I would like to emphasize on the best part of my stay is dealing with John Chirila (Leasing Manager). He is true professional and address you will never leave his desk disappointing. As a resident all I expect that our concerns are listened and addressed properly and i got it being there. I really appreciate his humbleness and friendly nature. He is like dont worry, i am here for you. He also made sure my final move-out is as smooth as it can be.If you are planning to move in to the Northwood place or inquiring about, Go and talk to John.Hey John- if you read this, I appreciate your help and the way you address your residents. Usually I cringe at reviews that mention a specific employees name, so I never thought I would do it. However, the customer service that was provided by Marissa was so stellar that I had to! When we moved in, she went above and beyond to accommodate all of our (admittedly) demanding needs. We switched apartments on the move in day, and she was super helpful and made it happen!We just moved in, so I havent been here long enough to judge the overall experience, but the move in experience has been great.
Im writing this review for Karina Estrada who is really hardworking and knowledgeable about all the rules and policies at northwood place. She was real help for me when i moved in year ago and now when i moved out. She helped me with every step. She stayed late (out of her working hours) to make sure i get the apartment on the day i wished. There are very few employed who deserve a good review and definitely Karina Estrada is one of the them. Thanks for all your help.
7/27/2021I got my water bill. It was over 300.00 dollars. I called the office and told them my water bill was sky high. They said they would place a maintenance request to check for leaks.A few days later a knock at the door. Jordon checked for leaks and found my toilet in the bathroom needed a new part that was leaking water. He replaced it and checked outside for leaks also.Jordan replaced toilet part and I thanked him. As far as I know Taylor from leasing office will give me a maintenance receipt to give to water company so they can adjust my bill to a normal size bill. Hope it works out. One of the main reasons I stay here is. Maintenance professionally fixing stuff for me.Im a retired senior citizen and living at Northwood Apartment Homes makes life more enjoyable.Thank You,

The entire leasing team at Northwood Place Apartments and Irvine Company Apartments has been so friendly, helpful, kind, and patient as we found our new home with them! The online application process, lease-signing, and move-in checklist is a seamlessly smooth process with a great web-based platform for uploading documents, paying rent, and communicating with the office; but it is the personal interactions with the management and leasing team during this strange and difficult time that truly sets them apart from everyone else and other properties we have contacted recently. Each time we spoke with or emailed Amelia Tovar, she was quick to respond; understanding of our questions; and attentive to each request in a professional and timely manner.We are so thrilled to be moving into such a warm, modern, friendly community, and would wholeheartedly recommend Northwood Place Apartments and Irvine Company for anyone searching for a new place to live!

I am happy to live at Northwood apartments. I have been living here for almost 10 years. Maintenance and office are great at helping the residents. Alex, Juan, and Gilbert are always there to help me and my family when we need something fixed.
The worst place to live. They charge you any amount they want. It doesnt matter how clean you kept the apartment, they will replace the carpet and will charge you, they will paint the apartment and charge a huge amount. They cancelled move out inspection on purpose in order to charge for everything. Do not let them to cancel pre move out inspection, its being done on purpose.The apartment complex is very noisy. Basically you have to schedule your sleep time based on their construction schedule. And its non stop construction there.
I have been living here since 4 yrs and it has been positive experince overall. The customer service is exceptional. The techs are very well experienced and know their work well. Whenever i have a pb in my restroom or kitchen stove i always call the office. In no time they send the techs especially Alex. He is very professional and friendly. His solutions to the maintenance problems are excellent. He is diligent and in no less time does his work of quality.Apart from that the parking facility, pool and cleanliness of northwood is commendable.Thankyou for making it a worthwhile place.
I love this community it’s just amazing! The place is great, if you ever need any repairs or help just tell the office to call Alex Arambula he is the best at helping out with these type of things. He is very polite and very smart. The staff is very nice in the leasing office. The thing that kind of makes me want to complain is the fact that the gym is a little small. But the fact the staff is nice especially Alex Arambula I really appreciate the work he puts into this.
Some of these comments are surprising to me because Ive had the opposite experience living here.I moved in in 2014 and am still a current resident. The staff in the residents office is always nice and helpful, the maintenance people are quick and punctual, the laundry room is usually clean, the gym is usually clean and empty when I go, and so is the main pool. We havent had any issues with parking, although it is true that you wont find parking right by your apartment after 6-7pm, but you can find parking not too far away. Havent had any issues with potheads or parties or loud people. Ive had pieces of the carpet replaced before and will probably need another replacement this month, but other than that no issues. No bugs or roaches, either. We had an ant invasion, but we settled it with some ant spray and they havent come back. All in all, a good experience for us. Just wish rent was a little cheaper.
I’ve been living in this community since 2015, and planning to stay for at least another two years.This a place which I can call “home”!Although it is pretty old, but has a character that many new communities lack and miss.The management are very helpful and the residents center team are very friendly, the amenities are great.In short, we love this place 😁

Im greatfull to find this place to live since almost 3 years ; I had being experimented a friendly and warm customer service around Northwood staff but specially I would like to thank to Karina Estrada and Marissa Castaneda for their professionalism and standing job .In the other hand the windows insulation are very poor ( windows are very poor quality ; even we used The AC or Heater the warm or cold air came into from the bad windows conditions ).Also, the place should have more often security patrols checking the complex apartments where you know had cars being vandalice but the most important the safety and integrity of the residents.Finally ,Often kids keep playing ( biking or scuters on the street where the visibility is too low to see the kids playing ) I know is 100% parents responsability but as a managment ( you should add some sings to proived kids being playing on the street which I had not seeing any of warning sings ) it will help to avoid any unfortunaly accidents .Thank youMario GandaraApt #822 Hayes st

Ive lived at Northwood place for a year and it was pretty good but definitely has some room for improvement.Pros: we have a townhouse style unit with one shared wall and I never hear the people on the other side. The parking is easy for my unit and there is a street parking area for guests (but the complex is a half mile long so that may not be the same at the other end.) The leasing office is fast to respond via email. The pools are nice. It is walking distance to a grocery store and park and some schools. The unit is a comfortable size and the AC works efficiently. The kitchen is big enough for 2 people to prepare food and not totally be cramped. The extra half bath on the bottom floor is good for guests.Cons: BUGS. When we first moved in we had 5 cockroaches in like the first 3 weeks of living there. We called pest control and moved all of the stuff out of the kitchen twice and it did nothing. We bought our own traps which worked. However, a few months later the spiders moved in. We see multiple new daddy long legs a day. If you have Arachnophobia DO NOT MOVE HERE. A lot of them are on the ceiling so they are difficult to kill for me at 53. I think they come from the big tree over our unit. We have called pest control for spiders, had to move all of our furniture away from the baseboards and that did not work. We called then again and asked then to spray just the outside and that did not work. Since all of us in the house work full time I have no idea if the pest control even came or if they are spraying anything but water since 4 rounds of pest control didnt help. Literally over 150 spiders since February or so. Also the freeway is right there. I can hear it in my unit if theres no other sound but TV or conversation drowns it out. Lastly, a lack of community is present. I see people moving out all the time. Sometimes I see the same pets in peoples windows and those feel like my neighbors.
I have been living in northwood place apartments for 5 years now, 4 years in my current apartment. maintenances are just awesome. Gildbert, Sam and Alex are amazing. Especially Alex, i known Alex to be the best in getting things done. last week I have been on the requests with few things needed to be done and everytime i request something on my app and Alex gets dispatched for the help, he makes sure the job is done as soon as possible. he takes only few minutes to go grab parts and gets back. his attitude contributes immensly in making the place so welcoming and positive for families living here and others that i would recommend. thank you guys :)
Im really appreciative of the team efforts at Northwood. I asked for repairs of my appliances and Juan surprised me with new appliances. When I go to the office the team effort is efficient and pleasing. Im really happy with my man John, corrina and entire staff. I just want to say thank you to the team for my making my place feel like a real home.
It was great. We were there for quite a long and time that it was very comfortable. The maintenance team was very helpful and they were also very prompt. The staff was also great especially Karina. She was always willing to help and went above and beyond to make sure were comfortable till the very end.
Alex from maintenance is always really helpful and genuinely cares when I need assistance! His great work ethic and positive attitude has been consistent every time! I really appreciate all of the help hes provided!
Whenever i need maintenance i have to follow up several times and at the end what i get is I’m so sorry we are really short staff and we are not able to make it today , office staff are not really helpful and I believe they don’t really know how to do their job ! They just give you an appointment and never show up on time ! I don’t really understand if they are not able to make it why they set appointments? Irvine Company have to have a better training system for the staff ! It’s disappointing!
Ive been a resident for almost 2 years and Ive consistently had to follow up with the office on maintenance requests. It seems maintenance is more concerned about finishing the service request in their system, more than completing the task at the best quality. I would not recommend this place also coz its generally noisy and office staff isnt the most helpful that Ive experienced.

I love where I live and Alex who is maintenance helped me all this years, he is very helpful, has no hesitate to help. He does his job in the right way. He is very Friendly. And we are blessed to have him.
Irvine Company apartments are big mafia. I have payed rent to these buggers for almost 10 years and still they didnt give me consideration when I am moving out when I want to extend the lease for 1 month. They were asking me to pay month to month premium apart from rent . They are totally shameless when it comes to money. They hike the apartment rent unreasonably and no consideration for long time residents. They gave you rude reply that if you dont like move out ..bla..bla.. Finally I am moving out . thanks god. Unfortunately, these land lords are a big mafia in this country.
Fernando in maintenance is awesome. He repaired the dishwasher and explained why it wasnt working before, then demonstrated how he repaired it. He told me to call even with the slightest concern. I really like Fernando
Brandy L worked in my kitchen and did a very fine job. I am very happy with this hard working girl.She made sure each and every corner of the kitchen is clean as I had a work done in my kitchen by outside vendors who left a lot of mess.
The apartment sucks and the management team is not professional. Think twice if you want to choose Northwood.I found cockroach in the kitchen and bathroom in the first day I moved in.I made a on-site transfer after one month and cleaned up everything before moving out. But they still charged me $100 for cleaning. Really? just one month?
Very private, spacious homes. The grass is well-kept on the daily and management is actually really friendly. Some the of the neighbors even offered to help move when I first came here.
I recently had the experience of meeting Fernando who is one of the service managers here at Northwood park. He handled all my request and still asked if I had anything else I needed fixed. Excellent customer service and very informative. I would recommend living here at Northwood. The pool and all the amenities are the best. Thank you Northwood for my maintenance experience.
Alex is one of the maintenance guys here in Northwood place . He is so nice, he always say hi, and he always has a smile on his face and he’s always eager to help any of the residents each time I see him!!!
Place is loud and its like living in Santa Ana. New manager will take all your deposit money. Been living here in Irvine for 25 years from one apartment to another, this is the first time i have to pay instead of getting a refund. Place is Old! And they will charge you for fixing it for the next tenant.
I can not say enough good things about this extraordinary community! The level of service that Karina provides is outstanding in every way. She really care about their resident.
Terrible service, and now they want us to pay common area water cost whattttttt ? Yes... we didnt ask for those plants or trees in the community, thats not our problem. Why we have to pay for that? After all the money this company is making per month the owner want the residents to pay for watering the trees, grass and plants outside the apartment that is usually dirty because dogs always poop on those common areas, be aware if you move here you have to pay for common area water cost,, what will be tomorrow? We will have to pay the employees too? We dont need the common areas to look good, trust me nobody cares if we have real grass or fake ( Dogs always poop on the grass) always dirty, you should come and see with your own eye how the trash area looks everyday, ( people here dont know the difference between recycle and regular trash ) those areas are always dirty and smelly, even when the trash containers are empty, people throw or put the trash outside the containers, you think people who lives here cares about the grass and trees? noooooo... trust me noooo....
Its a great place to live in! There are many parks and stores nearby and the staff is very nice and attentive.

Terrible customer service.As soon as you sign a contract, you will not be accepted to talk to the staff through the front office. they have a back office for residents with rude staff who just say sorry, but we cant. sorry its the corporate office who makes decisions and we cant do anything about it.

If you are looking for a place infested with cockroaches this is the place for you. Ive been living here for six months and they are everywhere and the staff here has done nothing about it but pretend to be nice on the phone. Cockroaches in the kitches in the bathroom in the living room. Everywhere really. Imagine cooking a meal and a cockroach the size of your finger coming from the back of the stove just perched on the wall. Or when you are getting out of the shower and almost step on a cockroach. Its disgusting. Ive tried Eveything to get rid of them to no avail. They must be living in the walls with colonies. Dont pay high prices to live along side cockroaches.Also the laundry rooms are always trashed. Either people break one or two machines or there is trash all over the place. It was so bad once i had to clean the place myself before i could think about washing my clothes. I mean there was lint all over the floor. Atleast 30 pieces of trash, papers, bottles, disgaurded clothing and used dryer sheets all over the place. Spilt detergent that make the floor sticky. Staff needs to check up on the laundry rooms more often.The complex is right next to the freeway so there is a constant freeway buzz with the occasional big rigg engine roar or harley motor bike muffler raging. Just close your windows and youll be fine.Theres never enough parking space for guests. Sometimes guest need to walk very far or even across the street.The air condition units are too small so on very hot days there no way to keep the place cool. Most of the summer my place couldnt get under 82 degrees so we had to buy extra fans to cool the place.Once in a while you will find pot heads out side smoking weed in the parking lot with thier friends. They dont really bother anyone though but it does kind of look like a hoodlum scene. It might make some people feel unsafe.Over all I think there are much cleaner and quieter places to live for the same amount of money. Id like to warn you that northwood place Apartments are worse. I thought moving here would be an upgrade but its not much better.
The cockaroach problem disgusts me. I am terrified of them anyways and when I see them in my home I freak out and feel disgusted. Its embarrassing trying to have guest over wondering if one will be crawling around. The rent here is way too expensive to be dealing with that issue.Also the barbecues are broken half the time and the jacuzzi is cold half the time so again I am paying for broken amenities. Anytime I try to speak to office staff they dont answer or just simply say sorry for your concern we will have it fixed shortly.Ive lived here since 2009 and would like a few things repaired or replaced since being here so long... but their answer has been NO. If Ive moved out youd have to replace it anyways so why not after so many years??? The office staff was much more convenient when they were on site and not at the apartments down the street.

Its very old community, ddirty , has a lot of insects the management team is too bad..I did my fetal mistake to stay there, but the good news that Ill leave them soon..

I live at this place and everyday we woke up on new case of stolen things from Cars or Bicycle and the management office never increase the amount of the security so I dont recommend to anyone to stay until they solve the problem Its not safe anymore

New to the crew, he came and fixed an issue with lighting, and went a step further to fix/ replace other smaller issues we hadnt found time to request help for. Very professional and courteous, along with friendly which we really appreciated. Thanks Chris for making our kitchen look so awesome!A very belated Thankyou to Melissa in Leasing Office also. I believe she has moved up into Corporate, but we wanted to thank her for being so accommodating this year with our lease renewal. She kept it professional, and showed us the utmost respect as a Military Family accommodating and working with us to ease alot of stress during our sons recent deployment. Always grateful to her and the staff.

2022-03-11I‘ve lived at Northwood for 2 years and have been putting off maintenance requests to avoid the normal hassle. Fernando just came in and helped my roommate and I fix up all the natural wear and tears that have built up over the years and I wish we had called him sooner! He was so helpful and really went above and beyond to make sure we got everything sorted! If I could request him to help out with every random thing that came up, I would!

2022-05-19Screaming children outside 600-700 Hayes area every day from 4pm - 9pm. Issue has been reported to management and security many times by multiple tenants in the area and it does not get resolved. Fix it and I will write a glowing review.

2022-06-04Too many screaming children that run in front of cars- instead of playing on the sidewalk. They also allow cars to park in front of the red curb which blocks other cars when they’re driving into the apartment complex. They don’t care and they have minimal staff to deal with these issues. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

2022-05-23Children from 698/656 Hayes are screaming from 12PM - 9PM Saturday/Sunday and 4PM-9PM on weekdays. Please help have them go to the playground area, playing in the parking lot and screaming in front of the apartments is not acceptable per leasing agreement (10A)Thanks,Amy

2021-02-19I moved to Northwood Place Apartments in 2007. Ive had a great experience. Every time I had maintenance issue, it was done the same day and sometimes sooner. Great community. We had access to 3 different swimming pools, exercise gym and nice parks within walking distance. I recently moved to a house where I have an attached garage. I miss Northwood Apartment homes and if I ever rent an apartment again, I will consider Northwood Apartments.

2020-11-23For the past 5 years living in Northwood place apartments, a beautifully located place near freeways and near amazing shopping center and it has been just great. nothing significant that I would complain about. when it comes to helpfulness and being always there following up with residents, I believe Karina brings it to a next level. she calls and follow up on inquiries and makes sure any advice or concern is met by the end of that business day and that is something makes me always happy to do business with such amazing staff members. I have had members in my household moving in and out so we had to add and take names to and off our lease agreement, Karina showed the knowledge and the will to get things done in a very smooth fashion. she made sure it took one week for me to rest assure everything is begin taken care of because as mentioned above, Karina keeps calling and giving updates so I never felt forgotten about. Im only writing this review for Irvine Company management to see and recognize the amazing potential and professionalism that Karina have dealing with residents of this community. Plus, shes always smiling.Thank you Karina and the rest of the team :)
