Not enough parking spaces there for non-preferred customers. I had to get up so blasted early in order to arrive early enough each day in order to get a legal, for-pay parking spot in North Hollywood. I didnt so much mind arriving in downtown LA early & waiting there, but it really meant getting up oh so early, in hopes to arrive in time to find a parking spot. Fortunately, you covered up some if the reserved signs; that helped! But it was still stressful, because if knowing the time that I was (legally) required to arrive at the courts building for Jury Duty.Hey METRO, build additional convenient parking if you really want to make your transit system a more-popular means of transportation.
Is this a great place that there are a lot of restaurants like Buffalo Wild Wings big wangs Tokyo delves out of the gym 24 Hour Fitness in the general area and its also just a great place to go and have a coffee at the train station Plaza they have after the Orange Line stop and they have an Ojo building if youre looking to move into an area I highly consider the golf shop that has the ball in the building theres like I know ho 22 building thats close by but all around General North Hollywood Station Park and Ride is it a good place to be at when youre passing through but not a place to be hanging out because there are a lot of shady individuals out there and there are a lot of shady people that are around but I gave it a 5-star rating because of transportation is so cheap and affordable for those that are on a budget that want to save and become a success in this life
Do NOT let your guard down at this location. Be AWARE of your surroundings. Thugs and people looking to rob and assault you are here all day, everyday....Not enough security. Also, the green kiosk single-use restroom is a joke as it is broken down half the time or, again, thugs push you right out of the way to use.
Itโs definitely less scuzzy than say the Hollywood/Sunset station. Thereโs usually a few cops around here, so itโs somewhat homeless free.I donโt like the fact that they charge you to park! Nothing says donโt use public transportation like almost doubling a round trip fare with parking fees. I can almost see charging at the Universal station where people might abuse free parking to avoid the crazy parking fees at Universal Studios, but no one is heading into NoHo for the free parking, especially when thereโs free parking right across the street!
This is a cool spot for transit. Theres the Red Line, Orange Line and a host of various other Local and Express lines that come to this location. There are several maps that can assist you with your travels.Unfortunately there is not a person or kiosk available to assist you out with your travels
Yup. Its a train station! Yup! Its in North Hollywood! This is a great place to commute to Hollywood and Downtown LA without getting caught in LA traffic. Since I live in the valley, I use the train to see my friends in Downtown LA without worry or concern about getting caught in traffic. Its really cheap too.Plus, if you just want to use the train to explore Los Angeles, this is a great station. Theres tons of really great shops by this station. Theres so many cool things to see and do on Lankershim Blvd in North Hollywood. I highly recommend this station to anyone. Plus, its pretty clean overall, and its $2.50 a ride, and you cant beat that!
Red line train station is very convenient for money saving traveling. However it is kind of an inconvenience with various vendors taking space. Its also somewhat dirty. But Im glad theyre building a underground tunnel that connects redline to orange line without having to cross the street.
Sometimes theres a whole lotta people during rush hour. Not to mention, the transients. Nonetheless, since I was in high school, I used this station wholeheartedly and maximized it.Its been renovated so its not as shoddy as before, but it is public transportation. So dont expect luxury.
Its beautiful. The new architecture is lovely. The station is a bit sketchy but its a nice urban feel. There is a panera, coffee bean, and fish dish close by. Theres a lady who always sells great tamales, chips, hotdogs and much more outside the station mechanical stairs.
To be quite truthful, I actually hated the place. Maybe it was just too late & I was totally exhahsted. That round trip (from Long Beach to Chatsworth Metro Station & back) was absolutely, positively grueling. It is not a trip that I would suggest a senior citizen take, to say the least. When I decided to make this trip, I figured, how difficult could it possibly be? Omg, difficult is putting it mildly. Price wise, it was terrific, cuz I had gone from Long Beach to the valley to see my son a few times since I stopped driving my car in September. But the other times I took the Long Beach FlyAway bus to LAX & then when I got to LAX, I took the FlyAway bus from LAX to Van Nuys & then back home in the opposite direction. But that round trip fare cost me $25 more. That was the reason I looked for a different way to travel. I felt the signs werent self-explanatory. Plus finding someone to answer my questions was almost impossible, even though there seemed to be employees in the area. If I had just followed all the other people that were on the same bus as I was, I wouldnt have been so darn frustrated. But of course, there was nothing that told me to do so. And the old grey mare just isnt as fast as she used to be. Someone much younger than I would probably do just fine, I guess. But right now I couldnt be convinced of that.
I mean its NoHo its the last stop for the red line or the 1st depending on how you look at it.. Depending on the time the ones(cops) are all over you can protecting people orrr some may add theyre giving individuals a hard time.. Also a few weirdos hang out occasionally! Plenty of food in the area a great gym and the art district so no complaints and I might add were all weird in a way!
Lots of activists, peddlers, and panhandlers. The parking lot is pretty well designed, lots of space for all the surrounding activity. Theres 2 entrances on either side of the street so its very accessible. Awful spot to catch an uber, they dont usually pull into the parking lot. Great spot for PokรฉmonGo
This is a crucial hub for travel from the San Fernando Valley to several key locations to the South, Southeast and Southwest. It runs fairly regularly (on average about once every 10-12 minutes, and its typically running well after midnight). Always check this, however, against other connections as they might stop running before the Red Line to North Hollywood does. The most egregious drawback Ive found is the amount of time it takes to get to the station via public transit. I live less than 15 minutes away by car, yet it can take up to two hours to get there by bus.
Im a big fan of subway riding, as Im from Boston. LAs system is not the greatest, as there are only limited areas you can reach without also riding buses (of which I am not a fan). I work in many locations, so I only ride when it makes sense. That being said, the North Hollywood station is a pretty good example of the stations throughout the city. The recently opened up a second entrance, so folks can get to the train without crossing the very busy Lankershim Boulevard. Trains usually run every 10-15 minutes (less on weekends and at night). There is a lot of parking, but it fills up early. I usually end up at the meters on the street, which cost about $4 for the day (cheaper than parking downtown). If youre coming up from the south there are a number of places for food and drinks nearby in the NoHo area.

2022-04-0410 years ago it was beautiful. Now its beautiful but its dirty and smells really bad. I wish all the trains would get a very deep cleaning and would get sanitized. Its very sad to see it in that state.

2019-02-25Needs more security and police. It is nice to have vendors available. A map showing where to catch the buses would be appreciated. I have never seen the solar charger work. A free self cleaning bathroom is available upstairs at street level.

2019-05-13Only bummer is the city issuing monthly passes. There are non existent and you will be placed on a perpetual waiting list. Best to come before 8am to find a parking spot, if not there are a few meters right outside the lot that permit 10hr parking. Come early and youll have a spot without a doubt.

2019-08-03There is no public restroom. I love that there are snack vendors. No place without a public restroom, a place that meets a basic human need, will get more than a one star rating. Now that I think of it there is no drinking water fountain either. This is a public place paid for by you with tax dollars that were stolen from you. The least the people you voted for could do is meet your basic human needs to drink water and use the restroom. They do not care about you and you keep voting fir them. Why do you keep doing that?

2018-11-30Pretty big transportation hub of the Valley. Its nice and with a bit of knowledge of the transportation system (Metro), its very easy to navigate. You have the Subway Red Line that connects you to the rest of LA, the Orange Line Bus Line that connects you to the Valley, and the bus depot. Where it connects you to the nooks and crannies of the Valley including small municipals like Santa Clarita and Burbank.

2018-08-28Its a park and ride. Not much to it. There are cops on patrol sometimes and contract security for the lot. Thats good because there are lots of desperate looking people around...some sleeping, some doing other things very clise by. This is normal for the area but might make some people uneasy. Not glamorous in any way but it beats driving in LA traffic.

2018-09-11Red orange and Metro Bus line, sorry. Very pretty much at Transit point you can go anywhere in the valley. 1 bus switches run 24 hours to 224, Redline station is pretty decent clean, escalator and elevator in both entrance,
