We loved it! The experience and time we spent here was enjoyed! I was in a party of 5(boyfriend, brother, sister and her bf) I would highly recommend this business if your looking to have some fun! It was quite difficult but we made it out alive! Looking forward to doing the King’s Keep soon here too!!!!!
So a few things to review: 1) courtesy of the staff, 2) design and aesthetic experience including the story you are working with and 3) the challenge/variety of puzzles you solve as you go. All of these matter so much, so I’ll break down my comments for each:1) From the first call with a list of questions to the wave goodbye when we finished, the staff here is extremely kind, patient, and enthusiastic about what they do. I appreciate that they were paying attention while we played and, unlike some places, didn’t give us a clue without asking.2) Excellent room! My husband and I did “King’s Keep” together. This room had so much detail! You get the full dungeon effect with lanterns, candles, and a set that looks like it came out of a movie studio. We were impressed. Great story and detail within the puzzles that link back. No background knowledge needed.3) We’re probably intermediate in terms of experience - this is our 4th room together. We love a good challenge and this one was just right - not too tough, not too easy. We finished with 13 minutes remaining. It made us think and work together for sure but wasn’t frustrating. That said, if you’ve never done a room before, this may be more challenging- it’s all subjective. If you’re going with a group I’d say 3-4 is the max before it gets too easy or too crowded, but I think they allow more. We will be moving to their more advanced rooms but definitely glad we did this one to enjoy the artistic brilliance and fun story.Overall score: 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Go check it out for yourself now- you won’t be disappointed! 😀
This was my first experience with escape rooms and Next-Gen Escape was incredible! Yes, it was my first time and that’s why I didn’t give it 5-stars. However, others in my party have participated in these events and they genuinely enjoyed the experience. Highly recommend it!
My wife and I played the Kings Keep, and it was fun! The walls and ambience were designed like a dungeon (not just puzzles in an office space). Dylan was our Gamemaster, and she did a great job of giving us hints without giving the game away. Your phone may be helpful as flashlight/notes/calculator.
We had a great time! Far better than the last escape room place we went to. We did the Kings Keep room and it was a blast. Very immersive and my group and I were laughing the whole time. Definitely recommend this for people who are first going to Next-Gen Escape. We used three hints that were very helpful and escaped the room with five minutes remaining.
Fresno/Clovis area has some great rooms, but this place is my favorite. The rooms are very detailed with great puzzles, immersion, and story implementation. You can tell the owners care greatly about their patrons experience through awesome service. If youre on the fence, GO - trust me, you will not regret it!
A terrific experience start to finish. Ari was a wonderful game master, Kings Keep was so fun and engaging! You can feel the care put into the room. Would definitely recommend Kings Keep to anyone.Update, March 2022: Tried the Dead Mans Chest escape crate as well. Also fun! A fantastic little take-home escape room experience.
First time ever in an escape room and it was so much fun! My friend and I did Clancys Lodge and we had the best time! The puzzles were not as hard as we thought but they werent very easy either! We escaped the room with four minutes to spare! Though we couldnt have done it without our amazing spirit guide (game master) Zach. He did such an amazing job. All in all 10/10, will be coming back for another room! 😁Update 8/20: We ended up going back and did the Kings Keep. There was a slight issue with double booking and some of the props malfunctioned but it was honestly still the best experience! Everyone is so nice there and so helpful! Love this place so much! Would still definitely recommend!
Next-Gen is amazing! My Fiancé, son and I, have completed all of their rooms. I think hands down, Kings Keep is the most immersive room in terms of making you feel like youre not just in a room. We preordered Cerebral, which we recently completed. While it was a fantastic room, I was hoping for more scare. But its definitely worth doing! I will be a repeat customer as more rooms becomr available!
Overall great experience, escaped the Clancey room with over 9 minutes to spare. Only criticism Id give is that the intro videos should have subtitles because my entire group couldnt make out anything from the introduction, and also offer guests a photo opp in front of your logo, maybe with some signs to hold for if your group escaped or not. They said that they usually have stickers for when you escape but they were out of the Clancey rooms stickers so they just told us to come back and play another time.
We went to Next-Gen games for a birthday gathering with family. I am super excited to say that we made it out alive! The puzzles were excellent — they were challenging but had great direction!!! Our host was amazing he had a great personality and was super helpful...we didn’t have to take a hint but we knew it was available! The atmosphere of the room was incredible! We will definitely return for another adventure!
All all the children had a wonderful time in the two rooms that we booked the only thing that I had a problem with was the party room it was too small it was supposed to hold up to at least 24 people we barely had enough for the people we had that was my only complaint
This was our second time here! And this experience was just the same as the first! Excellent! The place is super clean! And the rooms are thought out perfectly! But my favorite part is the excellent staff! They are always upbeat, and totally in character! Can’t wait for the next one!
My boyfriend and I have become big fans of escape rooms and try to do one every time we’re in a new city. We recently found out that there were escape rooms in Fresno! We were pleasantly surprised at how detailed and fun and organized this place was! Highly recommend!
We started off with 6 people and ended up at max with 8 people joining for the kings keep escape room. What an immersive and great room for beginners! Half of us had done an escape room and the other half had not so it was a great room because some of the stuff for a big group was manageable and still difficult for the people who had done escape rooms before. From start to finish the customer service was amazing I kept calling to change some stuff on the reservation and was helped seamlessly. Can’t wait to try other rooms in the future!
Rooms are absolutely amazing and they correspond with the story. It really has all the magic and can tell a lot of time was put into these rooms. They are very detail oriented! We loved it so much we did another right after we were done with the first one we did. Jace was very sweet, helpful, and wasn’t full of that cringe fake cheer, he is a great asset to this place😊 we will be going again!!! I’d give 10 stars if I could!
This was a fun experience. I have to admit that coming into the facility I was bias from seeing the movie. I was very turned off, and kind of afraid to participate in the escape. However, after a few minutes into the activity I found myself very much engaged. This is by no means an easy task, and it was very challenging. As a group we did very well, but we used a few hints from the climate who was locked up in a nearby cell. Low and behold we finally made it out of the dungen with only thirty seconds left on the clock.I would recommend this escape room quest to anyone who likes an adventure. This was very intense and fun. Please get a group together and see if you can escape.
Get a clue! The murder escape room crate served as a wonderful surprise for my wifes birthday. We gathered in our living room with other family members joined us in helping to solve the puzzles using well hidden clues in the items included. Playing the game sharpened our problem solving and communication skills. We laughed and celebrated along the way. When I returned the crate, the owner showed me the on-site rooms. I have to say I was impressed with his effort to provide authentic items for each theme. His passion for providing this type of entertainment is very evident. Book one now!
Honestly I love Clancy’s lodge. Really recommend IF you have done a few escape rooms prior. We finished with 23 seconds left and it was amazing and has some unique puzzles. Really wish their was student discounts for College students. But really great and I love it. 🥰
They are such creative and fun puzzles, with a really interactive story, and wonderful lore. The staff is super sweet and kind, they explain everything you need to know in a clear precise manner, and treat you like youre a friend visiting instead of a stranger. Truley a wonderful place. The Dungeon Escape was 20/10 definitely would do again!!!
This was a lot of fun. The rooms were decorated well and really added to the experience. We did 2 rooms. The first was the medieval themed room. It was lots of fun and the clues were fun to find. This was our first time doing one of these we were pretty confident when we figured out the room in 1/2 the time. We tried the more challenging room which was a bomb room and that was even more exciting. The music and sound effects and pressure brought on with a ticking bomb was awesome. Would only suggest having some sort of prize for completing the rooms or for fastest time. Will definitely return to this place to try new rooms.
Zak was INCREDIBLE!!! I have done plenty of escape rooms and the game masters have all been great but Zak went above and beyond in making sure my friends and I had a great time! Thank you so much! I didn’t have any cash on me or else I would’ve tipped Zak for being so incredible. You can tell he really enjoys his job!
This was our first escape the room and it was a great experience!! The puzzles were fun and challenging and the theming was awesome! Very immersive!! And Zach was great, too!! Very friendly and helpful, seemed like he really enjoyed the job and he was very funny! Would definitely go to this place again!!
We had a great time with Zach! He made the virtual escape room very enjoyable and easy to explore in spite of being remote. We did The Kings Keep. The room is really well themed. There are no gimmicky puzzles and the flow of the room is very smooth. If youve done your fair share of escape rooms you might find this one a bit easy. If youre new to it youll be challenged. Either way, its a lot of fun.
Absolutely FANTASTIC experience. My fiancé and I are new to escape rooms, so we dont have much experience, but this definitely checked a lot of the boxes for what Id be looking for in an escape room. Our group worked through the Kings Keep room. An hour puzzle with some immersive lore and plenty of moving parts & pieces. We had a blast! From the second we even entered the building, our DM Zack was super enthusiastic and helped set the mood for the kind of experience we were going to have.Friendly staff, good location, great puzzles.Needless to say well be back again soon!
My family really loved the King’s Keep (rate 5/5) room! It was very immersive and only had 1 puzzle with a combo lock (we don’t like rooms that have a lot of combo locks). Excellent customer service and very nice game master. We have done dozens of escape rooms so saying it’s one of the best we’ve done is saying a lot! Game master, Kiara, was awesome!Update: we’ve since done Bomb Threat with game master Lea and tonight did Clancey’s Lodge with game master Zach. Really great staff and engaging game! I think we’ve done them all!
Our group has been to a few different escape room establishments and this is one of our new favorites. The decorations of the rooms are fantastic and there are a decent amount of puzzles to solve that keep you entertained and continuously thinking. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved this place!
BEST ROOMS!!! This place is amazing! They offer three rooms all at different difficulty levels. The technology they have in these rooms is by far the coolest Ive played. My boyfriend and I played all three rooms and were not disappointed. great prices, Great experience! We were also lucky enough to have Zack all three times we went as our gamemaster. He is so friendly and makes the whole experience so enjoyable and entertaining from the time you check in. Thanks Next-Gen, cant wait for more rooms.
It was such a fun experience! Our guide was super helpful and the room was super detailed and challenging, without being too hard. We did the easiest room, since it was our first time, but it wasnt overly complicated, nor super obvious. The decor is very good and detailed. Cant wait for them to add more adventures!
My family and I had a great experience at NGE. We took part in the Clancy Lodge room with four players and had a blast! (As a quick note, I would not recommend the room to more than 4 players.) The cult horror theme of the room was done very well, a good balance of usual cabin affair and paranormal periphinalia. The puzzles also fit well into the theme of the room, following a Lovecraftian-style decent into madness.Customer service was friendly and helpful! No complaints at all. Jayce (gosh I hope that was his name!) was an awesome Game Master! While we only got one hint, it was helpful without giving the puzzle away. He also was enthusiastic and really helped set the tone before entering the room! The background audio was fantastic. It felt appropriate, spooky, but was not jumpy. The lighting was also done well. The red curtain converted the summer rays to a great atmosphere. We have experienced a few other escape rooms in the past, escaping more often than not. With that in mind, we did not find the difficulty of the room excessive. A newer team could very likely escape, though it could definitely be a challenge! Only one challenge had us particularly stumped, and only due to our own mechanical confusion. This leads me to my two negatives. Other Escape Room businesses I have been to had examples of all the styles of locks you could encounter before you went in. While the locks were explained to us, a visual would have been very welcomed to avoid our only spot of confusion without costing the business excessively. My second, very minor, negative was the phone used to communicate hints. It was very appropriate to the theme of the room and I must commend NGE for it. However, it was difficult to hear even with the well balanced background audio.Overall, a fantastic experience! I highly recommend checking out Next-Gen Escape if you are looking for a great night of fun!
I did the Clanceys lodge escape room with my friends and it was sooo much fun! The escape room was very organized and everything fit together like a puzzle. There were many unexpected things happening and there were not too many locks which I liked. I would definitely recommend!
My wife and I went to Next-Gen Escape for our 14th wedding anniversary......we had a freaking blast! It was our first experience with an escape room and we had an amazing time! They have story lines associated with each room and it gives you a more immersive experience. I would highly recommend this place and well definitely be back again!
This place is THE best escape room place I’ve been at. I’ve done all 3 rooms clevr ecaspe Visalia, did the one at labyrinth Lemoore, and while I thought those were really good, this place BLOWS them out of the water. I ended up doing two rooms, the cabin one and the dungeon one. These were unbelievable!!! It was highly immersive and you actually felt like you were in those areas. It had some of the best special effects, and surprises I have seen. This place isn’t all just locks and cheap puzzles. There is so much going on and lots of things that actually further the story of why you are locked in a place. It was nice to actually feel apart of the story and not just some random person just trying to figure out puzzles to get keys to open locks. It honestly felt like a LARP event and everything was just perfect. Our GM Jace was also really freaking cool and really had some dedication to his job. He explained the backstory, and laid out what was ahead. He was always there when we needed hints or just a nudge in direction. The only negative thing about this place is now I’ll expect more from the other escape room establishments I go to.This place was way worth driving an hour to get there, and if you are considering doing an escape room GO TO THIS PLACE! You won’t regret it.
Went there April of 2021.They follow standard COVID considerations- They ask that your group come inside only at your appointment time- Employees and guests wore masks- Clean common areas- Rooms cleaned between groupsEmployees- I think Kiara helped us. Very friendly and helpful.Review of the room/experience- We did Clancey’s Lodge- Our group had 6 people. The oldest was 70 and I think the youngest was about 14. All of us were able to help and have fun.- I think it was a good difficulty - not too hard but not too easy- They showed us a video before we started. I liked this more than if they just told us about the room- I liked that they had a couple items I haven’t used/seen in the few other escape rooms we’ve done- Once when we used the correct item for a puzzle, but nothing happened, Kiara let us know that we just needed to set it slightly differently. I think it was fair since it wasn’t because we hadn’t figured out the puzzle. All in all, our group had a lot fun. We learned that the owners actually first opened the business right before COVID, and only recently reopened. So go check out this local business and have a great experience with family or friends.
We had the Pirate Box delivered to us on the day after Thanksgiving and it was so awesome! I was skeptical that they would be able to pack the fun and detail of an Escape Room into a boxed at-home experience but they did NOT disappoint! Not only was it extremely challenging, but the puzzles were super innovative and creative. Would definitely recommend as an exciting quarantined activity and would even do it after lockdown! Thanks Next-Gen!
Our group loved this place. It was my 2nd escape room & this co. allows your phone with you which is nice just incase there is an emergency you wont miss a call but also it challenges those who rely on their devices too often. The room we escaped from was the duck room. I forgot the actual name but it was so fun & we escaped with only a couple minutes left ! We did get a few hints which wasnt fun but we got stumped!! I challenge everyone who reads this to try that duck room, you wont regret it!! 😁
This place was amazing! We took my son and his 4 friends for his 15th birthday. They had a blast. The laughter and screams were priceless. They keep talking about going back again. The people who run this place are adorable, sweet, kind, and SO professional. I had emailed them with concerns about the waivers and they replied promptly. Please go give this business your business. We will be going back soon!
I have done close to a dozen escape rooms before, ranging from not so great to pretty involved and high effort. The two rooms I tested at Next Gen were honestly the most well themed Ive ever seen. The rooms are filled with little details that other places would overlook, and every aspect of the room clearly has so much thought and effort put into it. The puzzles are fun and unique, without being overly difficult and I think they would be accessible to everyone, while still providing a satisfying challenge for more experienced escape room enthusiasts.Unlike some other escape rooms in town, Next Gen is conveniently located and the location/parking lot feels safe to leave my car in, even at night. The facility is also very clean and well air conditioned, even when I visited on one of the hottest days so far this year. The owners are really great people and their passion for their business really shows, and they have hired some really talented people to run the rooms.Prices are consistent with the other businesses in the area, and definitely a good value compared to rooms in LA or SF.I would highly recommend this escape room as the best in the Central Valley, at least that Ive seen (and Ive been to almost all of them). Ask for the haunted cabin room, because it is literally the coolest room Ive ever seen (no seriously it was like 68 degrees).
Over the last 3 years we have done about 12 rooms all over town. We have been to 2 of Next Gen’s rooms and done all 3 escape crates and they have all been amazing! The rooms are the best in town, so fun, high quality and very immersive! The crates are a wonderful alternative during the pandemic. The Dead Man’s Chest is the best! It plugs into the wall and feels like it was literally an escape room compacted into a big chest. It has all the great surprises and contraptions you would experience in an escape room. I would definitely recommend anything Next Gen comes up with!
We had an geeat experience from the start. Apparently they have a murder mystery one they hope to have ready in a few months. So we’re pretty stoked for that. Very safe and clean! You can never be too safe. Overall we definitely recommend!! Thank you guys for making it an amazing date night.
My experience at Next-Gen was awesome! I never been crazy about puzzle rooms before hand, but I had so much fun with friends! The puzzles were challenging, I enjoyed the unraveling of story surrounding the puzzles and the theme of the room was just the icing on the cake. I had so much fun that I plan to come back to try all their rooms with friends and family. I strongly recommend this to those who are first time beginners, or those who are interested to give it a try its more then worth it and for those who are veterans with puzzle rooms to first try to the beginner level to engage how challenging mid-tiers are.
Not knowIng what to expect, I was pLeasantly surprised. I came with a grOup of six and we did the Kings Keep. The clues were difficult enough to make you engage that thing 3 feet aboVE your buTtocks, and the HIntS we received were timely and helPfuL, but did not give it Away ComplEtely. We had a good group and everyone was engaged. The game master, Lea was great. I would recommend Next-Gen Escape to almost anyone.
We did this as a team building event for work and had a great time. We didnt escape but it was still a great experience. Game master was friendly and have us a good overview. He also called with clues when we were moving too slowly. We did Clanceys Lodge and I cant wait to go back to do their other rooms. The ambiance was brilliant. Only suggestion is call if the time slot you want is unavailable. We went at 2pm because it was a work activity on a weekday.
Me and my escape room buddies have been to around 4 or 5 of the businesses offering escape rooms in Fresno, and this is our favorite so far! We just recently finished their dungeon room and it was fantastic. I highly recommend anyone looking for a high quality escape room experience with great ambience to check them out.
We did the King’s Keep and Clancey’s Lodge with a group of four! There was a full story for each room, complete with a trailer and everything. I definitely recommend doing them separately (coming back another day) because I felt like we were cheating since our brains were already warmed up from the first one 😊 Still, the rooms were clean and well-done and we had a great time.
Next-Gen Escape experience is one if The best weve had in so long.Zack, the informist was beyond helpful. Friendly and very witty with the words. The rooms are very well put and nothing is nonsensical. Best believe!Looking forward to our next head scratching puzzling experience. Thank you everytime for the opportunity!!
It was my first time going through an escape room and it was so much fun! My team and I went into Global National - the rubber duck company. Definitely a challenge and we werent able to escape in time, but it was such a cool and enjoyable experience! Really great for team bonding or as a hangout with friends. Cant wait to try out the other rooms once theyre ready!!!
We tried the virtual escape room, which was such fun. We werent sure what to expect but basically it is one of the staff members walking around with a go pro set up to show you what is in the room. We probably got a bit more help than we would have if we had been doing it ourselves and it was sort of like being walked through a search process by someone who knew the answers and so gave clues through their questions about where we wanted to go but he was so great and so funny it was a wonderful entertainment experience. We were laughing and it was upbeat and all together a great way to spend an evening. Kudos to Next-Gen for their creativity.
I did Clancys Lodge the week after their grand opening. Out of the 11 escape rooms Ive done so far, this one is among the top that Ive done. The room itself made me feel like I was submerged into the lodge which is something I usually saw lacking in half the rooms Ive visited. The owners truly do care about making sure that escape room goers are having a blast. Great value and, of course, a great time!
Ive done more than 20 escape rooms in the last 3 years, and Ive got to say this place easily falls in the top 5. The room we did, Global National, was awesome! Despite it being their first room, the clues and overall setup were very well done. There were even some unique things Ive never seen in other rooms before!Overall, if youre looking for a real challenge that requires to really put your thinking caps on, this is the place! Try to beat our time ;)Global National - 4 PlayersTime Remaining: 14:27:57
My boyfriend and I tried out their Haunted Cabin room and it was SO MUCH FUN! It was challenging without making you feel like you can’t solve it. We were able to ask for hints without being penalized and the employees were very friendly and helpful!! Would definitely go back to try their other rooms or recommend to a friend!!
Great place. The room kings keep was AMAZING. super detailed and had a perfect amount of locks/puzzles. It was challenging but very fun. The story was the most unique part and the stories set next gen apart from the rest of the competition. Needless to say we will be back soon.
Fun night celebrating 13 year old birthday. Zach our guide/host was outstanding he was friendly, kind, helpful and really made the customer experience easy and the escape experience super duper fun. I recommend this as a family event - I would have never been able to escape without the kids who totally solved the clues and got us out in 59 minutes. THANKS!
The staff was very friendly and eased our nerves, it was our first time doing an escape room. The room we did was very well themed and they do provide clues if you needed some. I highly suggest this place and were definitely gonna go back again. I cant wait to do another room!
We played the escape crate:left for dead Puzzles and riddles were very good and unique. We were able to finish within the one hour, however after solving the equation we were unsure that we had already won the game. We had to log on to the clues web site to confirm that the game was already done. Overall, it was very creative and well designed game. We had lots of fun.
Me and my friends have been grinding out escape rooms in Fresno before we separate for college, and this one is by far the best. The rooms have so much passion behind them and lots of detail to immerse you. The owners are super friendly and cool to talk to, we’re all super excited for their upcoming rooms.
This was our first escape room experience. We took our 9, 11, and 13 year old and we all had a blast! I appreciated their extra efforts in Covid protocols. We were the only group there and the employee wore a mask at all times. We cant wait to come back to attempt the other rooms. We are also looking at renting the EscapeBox for our daughters birthday party!
The escape room was super fun!! My co-workers and I enjoyed completing the puzzles, BTW which were not super complicated. I like the fact that Next-Gen escape room can be completed with co workers or friends. To enhance the experience, even more, Next-Gen allows you to receive hints along the way, which are beyoooooond helpful :)we really enjoyed the experience, nice staff, and want to go in the future. def recommend Next-Gen.
This is for their Raven escape room. Wonderfully crafted interactive experience. The story was thrilling and the riddles were tough. Had to admit to using hints to get past a couple of the tricky ones. I love the thought and design of the room and the care of the craftsmanship. Would definitely do another from them if they whip another one up.
This escape room was super fun!! The puzzles werent too complicated but it also wasnt too easy as well. The team I was solving the room with almost finished the whole room but we just barely found the last puzzle before time ran out. Another cool thing about Next gen is that you get as many hints as you want so long as youre having fun, and I think that really nice, makes solving the room Waaaaaaaay more enjoyable. 10/10 would reccomend!!
We celebrated our shelter in 4th Anniversary by renting an escape crate and had a blast. We enjoyed solving the various puzzles, clues, directions provided by Next-Gen Escape from the comfort of our home. New Gen Escape delivers and picks up the crate and online booking made it simple to order. Next-Gen Escape is an Awesome business we look forward to our next journey.
I went in with my team for both a workshop & the escape room experience. Both sessions blew me away and I learned so much at the same time. By doing the escape room first then discussing how it went in terms of leadership style, really nailed in the items that we discussed and helped me learn more about my style of leadership. Can not recommend this enough.
Escaped Clancey’s Lodge with just minutes to spare! Three or four experienced players should do well while also getting to enjoy the elements of world building and atmosphere. Room was well designed and guide will be as generous with clues as you want them to be. Owners seemed open to feedback, which means their rooms should only get better and better. We will be back for more rooms!
My team and I signed up for the team building workshops they offer and were thoroughly impressed. You start off with a quick debrief, go straight into an escape room and try to escape. After the room experience, theres a team workshop with various exercises. It was a total of 2 hours, but it went by super fast. The staff and exercises are highly engaging. We learned a lot of weaknesses/strengths, and left with some insights on how to be a better team. If you have a team of any sort, Id highly recommend this experience. The AMARQUEZ team enjoyed it quite a bit!
It was a very wonderful experience. The team and I got to see how we all need to improve as a team and hotel. Conrad was really easy to work with, he made sure our team made the best out of the experience. Everyone with this company was great, I really do see this company as succeeding since it targets corporate issues.
Wanted to rent a Room for my sons birthday no one was open I called next-Gen excape What an awesome idea they had by bringing in excape Room to you! Its a super cool party in a Box all you do is if you have a smart TV Mirror your phone to your TV and away you go we had the zombie theme I cant wait to try the murder Box.

2022-02-06Fantastic, I cant think of anything bad to say about the place. Ive been to a few different escape rooms and this one takes the cake, easily. Awesome and friendly employees as well (cant remember his name, Saturday Feb 5th 4:30, younger guy, maybe late 20s).Bomb room was surprisingly funny! Kings Keep is a bit easy but the website does say for beginners. Beautifully designed. Excited to try the cabin!

2021-12-29This was our first experience of an escape room (family of 6) and we had a blast escaping the executioner at The Kings Keep with 12 minutes to spare! The room set up was exciting and the clues and story line went very well together. Great experience for our first time and we are looking forward to our next escape room adventure!Tip for first timers: Come together and have one person read the storyline as all other participants carefully listen. Then go over the clues and work together as a team to solve all the puzzles. As this was our first experience we did a shot gun approach and was still able to escape, but I believe we will be able to escape faster next time by building and working as a unified team allowing everyone to bring their unique understanding and skills to the table.Fun experience!!!

2022-04-26Went with three friends and none of us had done an escape room before. The room was awesome and the set up was so neat. I have played the escape room games on my phone before and the room was designed just like them. I was highly impressed. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It was really an amazing experience! And we made it out! Woo hoo!

2022-05-25Our first time experience at Nex-Gen Escape, was a hit. They were super friendly and tapped into character when providing the storyline. There were only 2 of us that went together, so I really appreciated that we were able to book a room without having to mix in with other people. They were very attentive and the room we chose was just the right amount of difficult. This is a really great activity to do if you enjoy puzzles, exploring, and thinking outside of the box.

2022-02-14Group of 13 year olds had a lot of fun! Did the Kings Keep and the room is decorated do detailed and creatively. Staff was very friendly. I do feel like the price ($32 per kid) is somewhat expensive for 45 min to 1 hours of fun, but it appears thats the going rate. I would recommend the experience overall!

2022-04-10I did the Kings Keep themed escape room with some friends. The room itself was very cool, and fit the theme wonderfully. The puzzle was fairly difficult for a beginner level room, which I appreciated. Some of us had done escape rooms before, and it still took us about 3/4 of the time slot. There were some technical difficulties like a puzzle door which didnt lock properly at first, but I dont think it was the fault of the escape room operators as it was clear a lot of work had been put into the room so it was likely just an equipment malfunction. All in all, a pretty cool experience thats worth the money if you like this sort of thing.

2022-02-27Ive left a previous review on how great this business is. We were able to experience their newest room, Cerebral, last night. It was an incredible experience. Obviously a lot of thought and work went into this room. The puzzles required teamwork, good communication, and critical thinking, but were a lot of fun and very solvable. We loved the room and experience. We consider this our favorite room in the area. Hats off to Calvin, Kiara & their team on putting this room together.

2021-12-22Was so much fun! We went as a group of 4 and for some of us it was our first time in any kind of escape room. We did the Kings Keep themed one which was very creative and we escaped successfully! The puzzles were fun, not too hard but definitely challenging at times. Staff was also very friendly and supportive and put us at ease for the experience! Would definitely go again!

2022-01-23Great escape room experience! Kings Keep room was very well done and felt as if you were stepping into another world with all of the detail and intentional thoughtfulness put into the room. Great setting, story, and puzzles that were a lot of fun to work through. Definitely going to be back to finish their other rooms.

2022-04-17We had a great time! We had 2 people who have done too many rooms to count, 2 who have done a handful, and 1 newbie abs we finished Clancy’s Lodge with 15+min to spare. Fairly linear game, plenty of different puzzle types and not only number padlocks! Definitely recommend!
