Im not sure I trust this place! Went to have my clutch inspected 160$ later I have a normal operating clutch a month later clutch is obviously going I go in they tell me the same thing a month later clutch goes out, after clutch install I have a transmission leak looks to be the drain bolt, on 7/16 car goes in they tell me both axle seals are bad I get them changed 600$ later the same day I pick it up drain plug is still leaking what a rip off the BBB needs to know about this place ASAP there’s more to this story
Well where to begin. First off the salesman was nice. But my issue is the car we bought was not cleaned up before we left. It was rather dirty, no fluid check (windshield wiper fluid empty amongst other things). Follow up customer service is horrible. They do not care after the sale. No follow up, just churn and burn. I will not buy another car here because the lack of detail and customer service. As a sales professional myself follow up and customer care is vital to my business. They seem not to care.UPDATE- I reached out to the manager and he wrote back. Said to give him till 7/15/22 before 3 pm to look into the issue. Alas, the ball was dropped again because no contact. The fact is if you want to just buy a vehicle at an inflated rate while receiving okay care while there, than this is the place for you. Just make sure that you have them double, no triple check that the car is fully serviced. I am 100% sure now that they just took the car on trade and checked nothing. My bad, I own some of that, I should have demanded they check. Learn from my mistake. I am now lowering them to one star.
Mark, James, and Frank made the event, of purchasing a great car, very enjoyable. Mark was so patient with my anxious father-in-law. The experience was wonderful. My father-in-law told me that in the first hour of having the car parked in the garage - hes been out there 4 times admiring it.
It was great, I got a Subaru Crosstreck plug in hybrid. Such good service. We were assisted by a sea lady called Debra and her service, Explanations and attention to detail was phenomenal. Debra dint pressure us and answered all questions and some.left happy and exited to drive my new amazing Subaru.

Best dealership experience Ive ever had, (this is my 2nd Subie) Lapon was great and gave me a great deal on the car, unfortunately he wasnt in the day I picking up the car, George took over and helped me out in the most speedy and courteous manner, Jesus in finance was great too, cant say enough good things about these guys.Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Bought my 2017 Subaru Impreza brand new here. Already 80k, being beaten and drove across the country many times, no major issues. * Amended * This is, without a doubt, the best car buying experience you will find. Our sales consultant Jesus Franco ,set up an appointment for us to look at a Crosstrek and talk about a zero down payment purchase. We werent able to get zero down, but with the help of sales manager, Lapon Chanthamany, we were able to get a great Outback lease deal with very little down. They were very patient with us, without any pressure, only a lot of hard work to find a good deal for us and after three test drives, the comfortable facility was a God send. We are extremely happy with our 2017 Outback and are now life long Modesto Subaru family, once approved, we were shown and introduced to all departments. This was a nice and unexpected introduction, it gave us a true welcome to the family feeling. My family and I feel safer on the road than ever before, believe me, that feeling is priceless. Thank you to Modesto Subaru from W & P* I have to change my review from five stars to three. Weve been trying to have a problem fixed with our Outback for months and the service department has been less than helpful. The staff handling the phones and scheduling appointments are not happy to to offer service, they seemed to be annoyed that you are bothering them. At this moment, I would have to reccomended going to another Subaru dealership for service, the once great service here is now non existent.
Mark was absolutely awesome! I told him exactly what I needed and he delivered on every level. The finance department is also superb and everyone there is awesome. I would buy a car from these guys any day of the week and I will definitely be buying another one from them and only them. Thanks again for my 2021 Subaru Forester sport!
If I could give ZERO stars, I would. Here are the many reason I am never going to take my car back to Modesto Subaru, nor am I ever going to go back to Modesto Subaru as a returning customer. *Note, this is going to be a long review but well worth the read so you can see what type of service you are going to receive there if my review doesnt help guide you into going to a different Subaru dealership for all your attentive needs.08/06/2018- Took my 2017 STI to Modesto Subaru for a quick warranty claim fix that they said would be done that day. However, at the end of the day, I was informed that they had put a scratch onto my vehicle that they wanted to fix and keep my car for one more day.08/07/2018- Again, by the end of the day, I was notified that the painter did not clean his gun and put paint speckles in my paint and they said they didnt find the work acceptable (obviously but just keep reading) so they are going to have the painter come back the following day to fix his mistake (trust me, keep reading, it gets better).08/08/2018- Again, at the end of they day, I was notified that everything looked great, the scratch was fixed, but they wanted to keep my car one more day to buff out the scratch and have it ready for me the next day. I informed them to just have the car how it was when I dropped it off to them and I would be happy. At this point, I just wanted my car back in my possession.08/09/2018- After work I drove to Subaru to pick up my car, but unfortunately there was still a huge deep scratch in my paint. I informed the receptionist how they fixed the scratch because it was still there. She was very nice in that she was going to call the service tech who was working on my vehicle, but I told her just to tell him tomorrow that the scratch didnt get fix and to have the painter fix it and I will get my car the following day.08/10/2018- For the first time in all of five days, I was notified FIRST THING in the morning, however this phone call wasnt what I was expecting. The tech that was working on my car informed me that the scratch I was referring to was not made by them and that they dont know where it came from and that I needed to come pick up my vehicle.If youre still reading this, let me remind you that my car is a 2017, this is my first ever bought new vehicle and you can ask anyone, I treat my car with the upmost care. My car is flawless, there is no scratches on it, especially from the DRIVER side door that they were referring too. Think about it, this is a four door car, with a big trunk space, why would I put ANYTHING through my driver side door? However, it gets EVEN BETTER. What really irritates me is the way they handled my vehicle. How do I know this, I have cameras installed within my vehicle that does continuous recording just in case someone ever steals my car, backs into my car, or I get in an accident. In this case, to observe how Modesto Subaru treats their customers vehicles. I have ON TAPE, MULTIPLE TIMES, people who work there revving my car up ON A COLD START and laughing, driving by their friends and revving my car up calling it a F**KING Blender, revving it up by known managers saying Look I am driving a F**KING Blender. It is so disgusting that people who work at Subaru treat their customers that way, as well as make fun of the very own vehicles they sell. Think thats all? Nope. I even have footage of them driving my car around the corner to the parking lot BEHIND their dealership to paint my car OUTSIDE, yep OUTSIDE; what do you think OSHA would think about that. No wonder there was particles in my paint when you did it, you did it outside in the church parking lot behind you guys. And to top it ALL off, when I finally picked up my vehicle after they had it all week, when I got home, my rear seat wasnt even INSTALLED correctly. Now this falls into a DOT violation and just think if I had people in my back seat and God forbid I got into an accident, you think they would of been safe. Needless to say, car still isnt fix.
The outside service person immediately came to my car and completed the work order and I was able to get inside within minutes. After work was completed my car was washed and front floor vacuumed. Everyone was very professional. Only down side was coffee/hot chocolate machine was broken so no hot chocolate which I was really hoping for. I dont drink coffee but that was provided.
They will sell you a car at a great price, if you know what youre looking for, but then theyll try to charge you for all kinds of extra stuff you dont need, and a very overpriced warranty. Then, they will absolutely try to rip you off in their service department, trying to sell you things, without asking or consenting to the work, that are absolutely unnecessary, and not on Subarus maintenance schedule. I just bought a 2020 WRX from them, and I needed a little maintenance done on my wifes car, and they tried to charge me $200 to change the rear differential fluid, something that takes about 10 minutes and $12 in oil. Im not opposed to paying a little extra to have the convenience of paying a dealership to have their trained and specialized mechanics make the repair, but this company, on multiple occasions, has made fraudulent representations to me, and tried to charge unconscionable sums of money for repairs.
The absolute best car buying experience we ever had. The staff was extremely knowledgeable & gracious. The show room & facility was clean & hospitable. The most caring young men ever ! The deal was the Best! Drove 3 hours to get there & theyll be delivering our car themselves because my husband was unable to drive at this time. If we ever buy another car... we would go to Modesto Subaru!
I have a hard time trusting people when it comes to buying a new or used car. The question is, if it’s a good car why did they trade it in? Bought a certified car and as my luck continues to haunt me, the car ended up having massive issues. Since the car was supposed to be for my wife to commute to the bay and back from Tracy, I started panicking after she told me the issues with the car. Sure enough called Subaru and they said we replaced all the parts. Drove it off and was back again. It was a domino effect of issues one after another. It got to a point where everyone knew us. I had prepared everything in my head to go and ask for a replacement. I did t feel comfortable with my wife commuting with the car and in my head I was preparing for a heavy resistance. Anyways, got a call from the service center telling us to come in for a meeting. Met with the guys and they asked my wife, “how can we remedy this for you?” I was shocked! My family doesn’t even ask me this stuff. She told them how she felt and without any hesitation they came up with a replacement that has completely restored my wife’s confidence in commuting along with my belief in humanity. From day one we were treated with respect and kindness. From the sales staff all the way to the detailing crew they have been AMAZING!!!!! It embarrassed me that I was ready to raise hell if needed but they had already taken care of everything before I could open my mouth. Our sales guy has been working with us and the service staff along with the management to make sure everything worked out for us as customers. It’s not just our sales guy, it’s all of them. They went above and beyond to help us out. To say that I don’t trust dealerships will be a lie! I trust these guys at Subaru in Modesto. To Perry, Kenny, Tamara, Robert, Adam and everyone one at the service center, I want to sincerely thank you. You guys are Excellent!
Great dealer to visit for oem parts and service. Ive gotten parts from oil filters, spark plugs, and valve cover gaskets. Prices are slightly higher than online but not too much and if you owe a subaru, then you need to use oem parts for quality.For service I got my forester engine cleaned and it runs great! Service techs and advisors were very professional and easy to talk to. Waiting area has free coffee, tea, and water!My forester runs so good with high miles but its gotten us everywhere!Thank you modesto subaru!
Nice place but they hold you there three hours on a oil change and tire rotation and free wash but slowest place very unprofessional leaving people for hours they go to lunch on your time while you wait nobody has supervision but at least 40 people working there all really standing around talking definitely a wasted morning
I went to purchase a specific pre-owned Outback and, unfortunately when I arrived, it had been sold to someone else! The manager made it right, and my salesman Mike Waller, ensured I got the extras I wanted, like a tow hitch and tinted windows!Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase and experience at Modesto Subaru. I know they will take good care of both me and my new Outback!
I love the customer service of this Subaru dealership in mchenry Modesto. They did a fantastic customer service! Even though the original manager and salesman when I got my car was off as we came back. The manager in charged on that day did a very great job!!! And his staff as well. I highly recommended this dealership. They will try to help you on everything. I will definitely come back to this dealership!!! I am super happy that my husband brought me to this dealership. I love the car they gave me. Super reliable and worth the money!!
Internet Sales Department rocked. Great work by Ruben. However after the purchase when I had questions regarding my account to make a payment since I hadn’t received any of my account info, I got no response from the Finance department. I guess once you buy they forget about. I will probably use a different dealer next time.
I had outstanding service and was well taken care of. Just plan better than me and either book an appointment for service or prepare to wait a while. Not their fault at all and they did everything in their power to make sure I was on my way as soon as possible. Happy to be a new Subaru owner.
Oh boy... Where to start... They assign you to a service person. And my service person told me he would contact my warranty company and have the car fixed in about a week. A week later, I couldnt get ahold of him. I left 3 messages before someone else called and said hed been out sick for 2 weeks. He never called the warranty company. NOTHING HAD BEEN DONE! Long story short... Its been a month and a half, and Im still looking at at least another week
Love their customer service and service center. We came in to do a trade in for another used car but instead they helped us get into a new car. Going to Subaru is probably one of the best decisions we have made. Their service department reps are awesome. We rarely have to deal with new or different reps which i love. Hate to say it but they really do make you feel like family.
Modesto Subaru is amazingly professional and went over and beyond to give me a good deal, extras, and even delivered the car right to my door (4 hours away!). Ask for George Kramer- great communication, follow up and no surprises. I highly recommend Modesto Subaru! Buyer Beware- Subaru Corporate is not helpful in any way around the CA rebate program.
Im updating this and moving from 1 to 3 stars: We were forced to stop in Modesto for an Outback transmission problem. The service was good, the staff friendly. But whether in the shop or on the test drive they broke the windshield. They promised to pay for the windshield replacement, but despite emails (that never get a response) and telephone promises that they will send a check for the $400 we spent, we have yet to see any money after 2 months of trying. Update: after posting this review I was contacted by Rich May of Modesto Subaru, and within a week I had a check. He was apologetic and professional, and quickly solved the issue. Tamara, the service writer was wonderful, communication was great, and the dealership is lovely. Other than the windshield non-response this would have been a five star review.
Jorge was a great salesman, he took the time to answer all of my questions and was patient while I test drove Crosstrek, Outback, and Forester. The entire staff from finance department to sales was very easy to work with and never once made me feel pressured to buy a vehicle. They worked with me to get me into the right vehicle and took care of me. Overall, a great experience at Modesto Subaru. I would recommend buying a car from here and can see myself returning here in the future when the time is right.
I had an online offer, pictures included. I had gotten an estimate of 36,500 for my trade, than they lowered it to 34k at the stealership. Car max offered way more with a visual inspection (38,600) which they said they’ll try and match, reason for driving down and getting a laughable offer. Hell even a smaller family operator dealership offered 38k. Will not be going back or recommending to anyone.
I had an amazing experience at Modesto Subaru, The team was very helpful and was able to help me get a car on the same day. They were able to help me find the specific vehicle I was searching for and did a professional job at keeping it a great and friendly experience. James, Gabe and Erica was very nice and helpful making my first time buying a car a happy experience.
They made the wheel studs get stuck 2 times and they wanted to charge me to fix it. After talking to the manager they decided to fix it for free, but wrote in the document that they didn’t took out the wheel when they did the recall which is rear coil change, which is a lie, as they had to take off the wheel to change it. Upon going to Costco 2nd time to do tire rotation they found that they made another stud (nut) got stuck and I have to go again almost one hour drive from Merced to fix the second stud.
Be careful with this dealership. We had mentioned to them multiple times that we did not want to add any extra packages on our new car. We noticed in our contract that they added an optional service fee of $1000. I asked for an explanation and they could not give me a straight answer, but instead said they dont know how it got on there. They also entered in the incorrect address for the billing so we never received the first bill in the mail. Our bank just contacted us and said we were late. Not sure this dealership has 4.5 stars, but please double-check your paperwork with them.
For parts and service, I came in 2 days before I visited the sales team, as my mothers Impreza had an appointment to take care of recalls. Unsure of how long it would take, I got a loaner 2021 Forester within 5 minutes after taking care of the paperwork, and got a call around 3:30p saying her car was ready. Everything there was awesome, and the parts person I spoke to about getting additional stuff was really knowledgable about pricing and what else to get along with what I was looking for.Theyre part of the reason why I decided to start looking for a Subaru, besides the fact that my family all owns one.For sales, I came here directly after not getting approved at Central Valley Automotive for a 2015 Forester while wanting to trade in my old car. We met with a sales rep named Kenneth and went to look at a 2014 Forester. Ended up trading in my car here and getting approved here, much to my surprise! Both Kenneth and Reggie are awesome as they went above and beyond to give amazing customer service, and I am very thankful for them. Definently will be coming back to purchase my next car through them!

The service here is excellent. My Service Advisor Nick was very helpful in the whole process. Explaining the whole situation with warranty and everything. They were able to get the work done in one day. I was very pleased with how they do business here. If you have a Subie, I highly recommend bringing it here for service.
Took my car in for service after making an appointment for a recall service. Checking in and getting everything set up was fast and hassle free. Their waiting area was clean and pleasant offering complementary water and coffee to keep you awake and hydrated while you wait.I stepped out for a few hours while my car was being worked on and Nick sent a text message and voicemail while I was gone to let me know my car was ready for pickup and offered a free carwash! Definitely going to take my car here for services that I wont have time to do myself.
I love this place. The service manager Nicole was pleasant and professional. She immediately welcomed me and made me feel that I had been a Subaru customer for years.One issue that she solved for me was when scheduling the appointment, it was the day before on a Friday. I asked the customer rep if I could also get the factory recall repair done. She said Modesto Subaru preferred a one week notice. When I mentioned this issue to Nicole, she said that since I had to drive 40 minutes that they would take care of the factory recall issue instead of having me return a week later. Fantastic!Bluntly, it was a choice between Modesto and another dealership that was also 40 minutes away. I previously had gone to the other one for an oil change and left with a bit of disappointment as the service manager at the other location was not very friendly. So Modesto Subaru is the place!
We recently bought our second car from George with the Internet Sales department. I cannot emphasize enough how easy and respectful both of our experiences have been. We emailed and asked for a car with the specs we wanted, George found the vehicle, we agreed ahead of time on the price, and just went in for a quick test drive and to sign paperwork. We were in the dealership for 2 hours total! When the time comes for another car purchase, this is the only place we will shop.
Easy to make an appointment, staff was friendly and knew their business. I especially appreciated being kept up to date as the service was being completed. The waiting area is ok, they even have snacks! Ill return toModesto Subaru for service when necessary. Love my Subaru too.
Seriously one of the worst dealerships Ive been to. Having problems with my Subaru at 20k miles nd came in here for some services nd answers. Nick doesent give any information nd mid conversation, jus goes and speaks with another costumer like Im not worth his time. Also telling me a common problem with my cars model is not under warranty. Tryn to pry out every last dime from me, youve been warned horrid place to do business
DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! The general manger, I believe his name is Reggie White, absolutely robbed of our used car. Carlos (Reyes I believe) one of their salesmen, who treated us very well, did a fine job of showing us the used car, answering questions, and allowing us to test drive it. Afterwards, we negotiated and the general manger came by to finalize our agreement. He kicked in extra things to make sure we felt secure from buying at this dealer. We go inside, sit at the table, they enter in our information at the computer, we sign the paperwork, they make copies of the drivers license, credit cards and checks handed over, and then the general manger says “we cannot sell you the car.” We were in absolute disbelief. What? Why? We were in the middle of finalizing everything. He informs us that another person drove whatever hours and had an appointment to see the car. Carlos did inform us earlier that there was a person coming to see the car but made no indications that it was unavailable! It was beyond me as to why they would even show us the car in the first place if it was never available. The audacity to make us go through this process thinking we had just bought our new car is something that I’ll never understand. Then the general manger offers us to buy a new car?! So we can spend more money at your dealership? Absolutely not. What kind of accommodation is that? We were disgusted and felt robbed. I cannot recommend this place to anyone because of this treatment.
I have been a customer of Modesto Subaru for many years & I have recommended this dealership to many friends and family members. From their service department to the sales floor staff, the customer service is stellar!I would like to recognize Raul! He assisted me with the lease of Crosstrex 2018, in early 2019. He has now assisted me with the purchase my of lease! He made time for me today and has made this process seamless and simple.Modesto Subaru has set the standard for what customer service in the car industry should look like! Talked to a sales member named Ramon, we came to a good deal and I told him I would be in tomorrow to pick up the vehicle. I came in and the car was sold. My problem here is he lied and said he contacted me to let me know. This didnt happen. I get it at the end of the day you made the sale however I am Very unhappy with the integrity of the salesmen.Ive had nothing but good experiences with this dealership in the past, just be wary.
I spent quite a bit at this dealership. I live in Turlock and had difficulty getting my vehicle home. I inquired and was told “sorry, all our drivers are off today.” I took a $114 Uber drive back to pick up my vehicle. They have posted that they will give you an Uber credit. I called twice and no return on my call. Also- when I returned to pick up my new vehicle there was a fresh dent on the hood of my vehicle. I called to resolve the issue and never got a call back. I also requested a quick tutorial of all the features of the vehicle and didn’t receive one. YouTube saved me on that one. I love my Subaru but the customer service at this location was extremely disappointing. I waited a few weeks to post my review just in case someone wanted to return my calls and make things right. No such luck.
So my last visit in Modesto Subaru July 28th 2021, was so much more pleasant. The young women who helped me was just lovely. She kept me informed on every step and was very polite and professional, I give her an A++These just cant get it together wven after a year or so from a different horrible experience. I will say this, theyre customer service did improve but to charge what they charged me for a used tire was just ridiculous.They messed up through out my whole experience. They didnt call me back and then they forgot to change my oil, hows that happen?
I purchased a new Forester working with Johnny last week and had an all around great car buying experience. They went above and beyond to get me what I wanted, and they made the paperwork as painless as possible. I went back today to get a couple of extras installed. The service center staff was prompt, friendly and professional. The customer service was worth the longer drive (from the Bay Area).
Awesome experience! You may recognize my dads review somewhere here, but I was the one who drove the second car we bought that day, the silver 2020 Impreza Sport. I do, however, have one thing to note:Upon every visit to the dealership, whether it be for service or something else, I always, ALWAYS scrape my bumper on the south exit/entrance(s). I tried several times to go out sideways, tried to, well, not scrape, but its gotten to a point where its starting to concern me. I bought this new car and right out of the dealership I end up always scraping no matter what I try to do to avoid it. Now Im sure the design for that slope was not intentional by any means, but I just thought you should know about that issue.Otherwise, I love this place for their over-the-top customer service and I cannot be more proud to own a Subaru 😁
They are always courteous and attentive. Very polite, and informative. Waiting room is fully stocked with complimentary coffee and water as well as sometimes donuts bananas. Guestwifi is pretty good. The only thing I dont like about the place is their exorbitant prices.Edit: 1 year later. Came in for a 60000 mile check-up on vehicle. 1500$. 300$ was parts. The rest was labor. The most insane amount of money Ive ever heard for a mileage routine. I asked specifically for the disks to be checked because I knew they are warping. I was told at pickup they were fine, so that means they didnt check them. They had the vehicle 3/4 of the day. I didnt give 1 star because once a again the personel are great and helpful and I was given a loaner vehicle for the day. Do not use Subaru dealership to fix anything except for recalls just because of the name. Their prices are double or triple other places and rush your vehicle. It was so bad I am almost turned off if Subaru vehicles in general and Im a 5 car Subaru owner.
Took my new Crosstrek here for my first service and was not dissapointed.The young gentleman who greeted me was very nice and personable. He explained to me in detail how the process works as this was my first Subaru visit ever. While my car was being serviced, I walked around and was amazed at how clean and up to date the facility is. There are nice set of chairs with power outlets so that you can use your laptop or phone. A cool little lounge with sofas and free Starbucks coffee. The whole service only took one hour and the cute little lady who explained the detailed service report was very nice as well.
It was a good buying experience. Straightforward. I couldve held out longer but I think you always feel that way after a purchase. The car had a check engine light on the first day which they handled well and gave us a loaner car until thew simple fix was finished. Seems like a well run outfit with good focus on customer service. Will update as my experience progresses
Modesto Subaru has a very smooth and efficiently operated facility and service system.. I was greeted by my service adviser as soon as I arrived. Within 10 minutes i observed my vehicle the service area. The tech immediately started working to service the vehicle.Everyone in the facility is exceptionally friendly and cordial. I brought my old Subaru into the shop for service and Nick Trejo was my service advisor. I was reluctant to utilize the dealership because I thought I would over pay and be sold things I did not need. They serviced my vehicle and I was met with such professionalism from Nick that I am looking forward to purchasing a vehicle from a service shop I can trust. Modesto Subaru feels like family to us. The recent purchase of my 2020 Outback is the third car my family has purchased from this dealership in the past three years. We are always given a great deal, wonderful follow-up service, they handle any maintenance issues with ease and repairs are always done right the first time. Their staff is always efficient, conscientious and they offer great snacks and hot chocolate! We are always treated like we matter. We will always purchase our Subarus at Modesto Subaru.
Did have a good experience with the person who helped find the car I wanted. I didnt care for the people who finalized the paperwork. They tried to act like manly men and telling me what they can do better for me when actually they want more money from me. Wasnt acceptable and I wont go back. I received a call from Taylor from cutomer service and she talked about this issue. She was very sweet. I will continue to go back again when I need another car but will not converse with the two gentlemen that did my paperwork.
I bought a brand new 2019 Impreza sport in October of 2018. I was so excited, and was told by the sales agent that they pride themselves on customer service. In my experience this was all wrong. My Subaru was nothing but problematic. Radio never worked from day one, it supposedly needed an update but still didn’t work right after the update. The handle fell off the moon roof in the first month. The engine had a recall. My wheel bearing went out at only 30,000 miles. I also called the service department before I knew it was my wheel bearing that went out, and tried to come in because of the weird noise my car was making. I called ahead and was told I could come in to get my car looked at. When I got there the service representative told me that they all got off in 15 minutes, and I needed to come back with an appointment. So you want to get paid for your last 15 minutes, but don’t actually want to work? Your receptionist told me I could come in, that was her error, and not mine. I drive every day for a living. I work in the medical field and travel. It is part of my job, and I have to use my personal vehicle. I can’t afford to have a non reliable vehicle. When I came back with my appointment, that is when I was informed it was my wheel bearing. I had a 7:30 appointment, and at 7:45 there still wasn’t anybody there qualified to look at my car. I don’t understand why the appointment was made that early if they didn’t have anyone scheduled to look at it. I made it clear that I was not happy, and was told the manager wanted more information from me about the sales representative turning me away. I gave the additional information, but was never contacted again. Absolutely terrible customer services Subaru is by far the worst car I have ever owned. Glad I traded the lemon of a car in before I had to deal with more of the car’s issues, and it’s terrible employees. Don’t buy Subaru.
This was a great experience, my service consultant was great Tamara San Nicolas was very efficient and very thorough, with great communication skills it only took about 5 minutes and I was checked in and ready to go, I explained my problems and spoke with my technician he did a great job. Bad Bad Bad Experience. Carlos gave us a bad time by forcing us to buy a vehicle and wouldn’t let us leave. He weren’t fully sure of what to do in the moment. He was peer pressuring us and once he saw that we couldn’t decide he started being rude by doubting our ability to have such a vehicle said we weren’t good enough drive a vehicle like that.
I shopped for my car online and compared prices among various dealerships throughout Californias Central Valley all the way to the Bay Area. Modesto Subaru had the best prices.My salesman, Wayne, was able to order the exact model, color, and features that I wanted with no hassle since what I wanted was not in stock at the dealership. He even had it within 24 hours.The paperwork involved in purchasing a car is never fun and is time consuming, but the staff at Modesto Subaru got us out in a timely manner.I drove over 100 miles to purchase my Outback. Thats how good the price was; they saved me thousands of dollars. Modesto Subaru was recommended by a friend. I in turn recommend them to anyone.

I took my 2005 outback in for alignment check. A stripped bolt was found which had to be ordered. After this was ordered, another part ordered (washer), then finally some internal linkage, the alignment was done... for quite a bit more than anticipated. I didn’t have problem with one thing leading to another,I know this can happen. The problem was the alignment was still off, I took it back, and alignment rechecked, but still pulling somewhat to right. It was suggested that my tires were too old having dry rot, maybe some prior accident and that I had a wheel bearing problem? I had front wheel bearing replaced, though all the problems were from the rear driver side wheel. Drove to South Carolina and back. Started out on tires which I was told by independent shop that were fine. When returning to California 6k later I find my right rear tire worm to the threads, other tires were fine. I took the car to independent shop to be checked out , found alignment way out of specs, toe in. I contacted Modesto Subaru and service manager would take no responsibility for any of this, said their alignment was only warranted for 4months. Previously I had always received great service and friendly people. Will never use them again, very poor customer services service .Jerry Overbey
The staff at Modesto Subaru treat you like family. The Costco rep, Debra, was straightforward with us, will tell you when she doesnt have an answer, and most importantly will give you an honest answer even if its not the one you wanted to hear. Great with kids, too.I will never buy a Subaru from anyone else, which means Ill never buy a new car from anyone else.
I love Subarus. I even encouraged my father in law purchase a new Subaru outback at Modesto Subaru. I hope to update this later, but so far my experience has been less than ideal. I first brought in my Subaru Baja to replace head gasket and water pump at their suggestion. That went great, they kept me informed, work was done very fast and it all seems well. I felt confident with their work so after having a new radio installed I noticed some problems. I brought it back, but they said the system is running perfect and sent me on the way. A month later Im back now I have a knock in the engine and my check engine light is on. My radio still doesnt work, and Im at a loss of what to do again...they really havent fixed anything and Ive spent thousands already with them. I hope they find the problem and make this right.P.S my father-in-law has also had his NEW Subaru in their service department for a leak in the windshield A column. He just picked it up and it still leaks.
We had to take our car for them to take some scratches off since is brand new and when they removed the white cover from the hood it did came out right. So anyway we had an appt since two days ago and when we dropped off their to gives a loaner which they did. When we ✔ the car for any damages I made a comment that the car was dirty from outside and dusty inside and the girl responded with if you wanted clean is going to take us 15 minutes more. You kidding me they had two days to prepare and had the car ready what kind of service is this..😡😡
I was in and out of the dealership in about 5 hours when purchasing my brand new car. This dealership is way better than Elk Grove Subaru (customer service is important to me). I went to Elk Grove and didnt receive the service I wanted and so I went to Modesto the week after and purchased my car there.
I have had the 2019 Forester Touring for one month, and am very happy with the car. All of the safety features are definitely a plus. The Forester is the smoothest riding car Ive ever owned. Fuel economy is great at around 30 average mpg: Around 35 highway driving at 60-65 mph. Working with the Modesto Subaru staff has been an additional plus.
I bought a trade in Honda from them this last week. They were great from when I called to see if the car was still available, all the way through the final sale. Got a great price on it and the car was one of the cleanest I had seen since I have been looking since around Thanksgiving. Ron was my salesman and he was great and had non-pressure tactics. Terrible place to buy a car; they push you to the limit. After they close the sale you are not going to be able to talk to them again. They don’t return your calls if you have any question. DO NOT BUY A CAR IN THIS PLACE!More than have of the good reviews were done using fake accounts!!!I take my Subaru to the Walnut Creek dealership where service is outstanding.
It was a very good experience. I was greeted outside as I arrived by the service person who took down my information. She was very knowledgeable.When I arranged my appointment, I requested the transportation that was offered as I expected it would be a long appointment. However, when I got there I was told it would take only about an hour and a half and was not offered transportation. It actually took 3 hrs. It would have been nice to have spent that time at the mall as I planned.All in all, Modesto Subarus service was wonderful and the people very, very nice.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP.If i could give a negative star review, I would, it is well deserved for this dealership. I purchased a car from here in August of 2018, it is now January 2019. Never received license plates after the 90 day period of temporary registration. I called repeatedly to no answer on the phone and left voice mails and never got a response. Finally got an answer but never got anywhere with the situation, proceeded to go in person and got excuses on top of more useless excuses from the Salesman Carlos Reyes, who told me to continue using the car with no license plates, even though dealer plates are now illegal. I called the Finance worker, Francis Aguirre and he gave me some useless run around and I have not heard back. Corporate has not done anything else either. To this day no one has done their job. I am heavily considering calling the news to do a story for this. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else because they do not care about you or your car. They only want your money.
Every experience at Modesto Subaru is fantastic in every way!!! This last time I was there it happened to be my birthday and they went out to a high end local bakery and got me a birthday bag filled with all kinds of wonderful goodies!!! Most of the personnel came by and wished me a Happy Birthday!!! They are always very thoughtful and courteous. Great service from start to finish!!
Modesto Subaru really treated us well when we needed to bring the Outback in for a couple of safety recalls. Subaru doesnt have a Stockton dealership, so for us its either Modesto or Elk Grove for needed repairs. The guys at Mo-town helped us out quickly and efficiently, had our car ready within 15 minutes of their promised time and even washed the car (which we did not expect). When it comes time to buy another car, we will certainly consider this dealership for its excellent service.

They had me in and out in 3 hours in the car I wanted at an amazing price thats from point of test drives through doin the application and buying the car and my credit is below average, They didnt haggle not once I told them what I wanted to pay and they came back with a bank offer and then without me asking they got me a better rate. All the staff were friendly it was just an amazing expierence I would and will recommend Modesto Subaru to everyone

The team at Modesto Subaru could be the best in the country, our salesperson, Debra stayed until nearly mid-night to deliver our Ascent which had arrived late afternoon, which also meant the whole team worked overtime to detail and service the car.Debras support staff (Finance guy and manager) exemplified teamwork and professionalism and made the late evening visit rather enjoyable.Weve only had the Ascent less than 4 weeks and we are very happy with the looks and feel of it weve already taken a couple of lengthy trips and the Ascent performed better than any car weve ever ownedI highly recommend Modesto Subaru and Debra if youre in the market for a good car.
Salesman were great, pleasant experience. Since then Ive tried to call the service department multiple times (about 7 or so). I have yet to get a person to answer or call me back. I understand they get busy and cant answer the phone as I have worked in service at a dealership before.But zero interactions with a person in over 7 attempts. And even more concerning was that Ive left a message every time and have gotten zero callbacks.With that said, their parts department was quite the opposite. I needed to replace two wheels (pothole damage) and wanted Subaru to do the work for me. After getting zero response from service dept I just bought the wheels from parts and had someone else do the work. Parts dept was easy to work with and called me back multiple times.
Oh wow. Where do I start with terrible crooked business. To start off, I painfully regret ever buying my vehicle from Modesto Subaru. I love my 2014 Impereza STI but Modesto Subaru has made my experience miserable and frankly pretty angry. I recently had some tires mounted and balanced at Modesto Subaru and when i dropped the car off the wheels were next to flawless. When I received the car I found deep scratch marks all over the wheels. I let them know about it and they said they would fix them, so I took it back and the fixed them. So apart from the crappy paint job they did, (the wheels were all pained and the wheels werent smooth and shiny like they were when I first brought them in, instead they were a dull ugly color and they felt like sandpaper) to top it off the paint came off when I washed the car. So I returned and they said they would fix them again. At this point the manager Reggie offered me a discounted brake job instead of my wheel repair and I said I just wanted my wheels back the way they were when I first brought them in. So they fixed them again and this time they just did a terrible clear coat job. The paint was darker and you can tell the wheels werent the same anymore. I was irritated and after many trips to Modesto Subaru I finally said to the manager that I deserve a new set of wheels. Not only did he say that he would not replace my wheels, he basically told me that I should have taken them somewhere else in the first place. He kept telling me the wheels looked good to him (of course they did, it wasnt his car). I can go on forever about the little details about my experience but I cant type so much. Not only did they make me the most angry that any business has ever made me but they made me regret buying the car from them. I NEVER want to return to Modesto Subaru because now I get this fat bill in the mail from them but I am reminded about how they treated me. Im debating if I want to take them to court over this. In the meantime they definitely lost a customer and I will make sure that every single person that goes into Modesto Subaru know my experience and is aware that they strive to milk money from customers. Needless to say. I rate them the worst business I have ever came across..
Weve always been treated well here when we bring our car in for service. They do like other dealerships, try to upsell by showing how dirty your air filter, cabin filter, etc are, but I understand thats part of the maintenance that many of us overlook and their efforts are appreciated. A simple no thank you and there is no pressure from them or guilt trip to encourage you to take their advice. The waiting area and service areas are clean, well organized and a pleasant place to wait with free water and hot beverages and often donuts. We drive close to 40 miles to have our Subaru serviced here since they really seem to know their stuff and our vehicles needs.
What a disaster! Needed driver side mirror replaced and Modesto Subaru convinced me to come down as they said they would do the job better than my local body shop. Took a Saturday off and drove the 1.5 hours to Modesto. Borrowed a friends car as it was to be 2hr install. Apparently they did not have all the necessary parts despite plenty of time to accumulate and did not tell me about the missing parts until i had checked in after a few hours to see if the R&R was done. They had not even started! They went ahead and installed what they had as only a lower trim piece was missing and i told them i could install it when it arrives. Got the car back and the trim was wrong color! IT IS A PAINT TO MATCH TRIM WE THOUGHT YOU KNEW!!! My local body shop would have installed the properly color matched and painted mirror assembly! Now i have to take additional time and effort and expense to have the trim painted. This is after spending entire day in Modesto for a full price (more than) incomplete job. Not the service one would expect from your local body shop. Subaru MUST have relationship with a local body shop in Modesto and they had plenty of time to send the trim piece out to be painted! What a ridiculous fiasco!
Subaru staff have always been exceptionally courteous. The facilities are clean and well taken care of. I was in and out in no time at all. The Subaru Outback we purchased and the service we have recieved have been excellent. Will definitely be my dealer of choice for my next car purchase.
One of the best dealership experiences Ive ever had, let alone a Subaru dealership. I spent 3 weeks at over 15 different dealerships, from various other brands - then I walked into Modesto Subaru and immediately felt at home. From the moment my salesmen (Thomas Westfall) approached me I felt like I was apart of a family. No high pressure sales, no hurry to get me to the finance desk, just people who genuinely seemed passionate about their brand - and cars in general. Thomas was perfectly content talking about cars, showing me used vehicles, or just helping me make decisions in general with a legitimate zero bias approach. They ended up letting me leave the first day to think some things over and unlike most dealerships, there was zero animosity letting me walk off the sales floor. I ended up returning a few days later and purchased a brand new 19 WRX STI off the show room floor! While I cant speak to the service department yet - if they treat me ANYTHING like how Thomas, his manager, or the finance team did; Im sure my experience will continue to be stellar.Tldr; walked in looking for a car, left feeling like I joined a family.
Internet sales department is useless. I got several quotes from the dealerships within about 100 miles of Modesto. Mike quoted me $1000 higher than the best offer I got. I replied several times and never got a response as to whether they could beat that offer. His boss sent the usual follow up email and I replied to him, too. I told him what I wanted from Mike and never got an answer from him either. I even checked my spam, thinking it may have gone there. I ended up going to Fremont Subaru to buy my 2018 Forester and saved $1500 compared to Modestos quote. At the very least, they could have told me no. Do your homework. You can get a better deal than Modesto Subaru.
Subaru was very slow on getting the actual recall completed. We received our 1st recall notice over a year ago when parts were not available for the air bag recall. Today when we arrived at the dealership we were informed that the loaner car promised at the time the appointment was scheduled (two weeks prior) was not available. Next we were shuffled down to Enterprise Car Rental. Once there we were charged a $50 deposit (refundable) and strongly advised to pay an extra $20 in case a pebble hit the windshield (we have full coverage through AllState or would have been charged more). Not only were we not informed of this practice by Subaru, we were not reimbursed! Compared to our last recall experience at Subaru, this was handled less than satisfactory
Amazing dealerhip with a Great service. Bought a WRX and Crosstrek from George from the moment i spoke with him to the last moment i left with a new car, i have had the best dealership experience. George K went out of his way to get me the deal i wanted and afford. never was in a rush to get a sale. always communicated everything that was happening. I never felt any pressure to purchase anything. He took his time to explain everything on the vehicle. He showed all the numbers i had asked for. This is the second vehicle i bought from Georg K. Everyone at the dealer was very friendly. whenever walking around someone would always say hello and ask if we needed anything. While sitting in the office an employee came and gave myself my daughter and wife water and we did not even ask. This is the greatest exoerience you can have a dealership. The whole process from ordering day to delivery of my car went smoothly. Mr. Meyer kept me updated on the delivery date and when the car was expected to come in. The actual purchase of the car went fast. The sales department gave me several ways to lease or purchase my car. The final write up was fast and pleasant. I truly love my subaru!
Lapon made my first car buying experience awesome. He was very genuine, positive and friendly. He is a great salesman. I would give it 5 stars if it werent for one of the other salesmen getting upset about not doing business with him. He couldnt even sell me the car and give me all the information about it, his inability to accept my choice of salesperson almost made me want to ditch this place and take my business elsewhere. I found Ben to be a good salesman that did not push but was informative. When the loaner car they gave blew a tire on the freeway, he came immediately. I respect this young man. Jesse did a helpful Love-Encore. Do not like the fact that they would only give a certain amount for a trade in and then put it out for sale at 5000 more on the lot. Ed was too smooth for me. Took too long to purchase as they said all offices full. However, I love my Crosstrek.
Working with Jesus at Modesto Subaru was great as I purchased my 2018 WRX. Through the whole process he was upfront and honest. While the negotiation went back and forth a few times, I appreciated his approach and candor. I would not hesitate to work with him again. (His colleague Juan helped as well giving me the test drive and he was equally as helpful).
Friendly staff. Great online Scheduling system. Shuttle service is great! I went in for a recall part replacement on my STi. Other than the Service department not calling me to tell me my car was ready (I called to ask if it was ready but got sent to the Parts departments voicemail) to be picked up, I stopped by while running errands and noticed my car was parked at the ready parking spot. I went inside and asked if my car was ready and it was.
Found a good used car at this dealer and drove almost 3 hours to get the car. There Finance Manager Crystal Nelson was the one doing paper work with me and my friend. When we going she told us we were doing e-sign and I asked her if I will got a copy for my purchase agreement. She said yes and she didnt give me good APR for my finance. When I ask for the agreement next day, she told me they cant email or fax the agreement. She offer to mail it to me. Ive been waiting for 12 days and receive nothing.

Steve in the service department is exceptional. The service staff performed the work quickly and to my satisfaction. This is our second Subaru which we enjoy so much more than the luxury cars.The IT Tech could not resolve my blue tooth telephone issue. Following his instructions I updated my smart phone. Still I could not use blue tooth for calls. I called the service department to discuss this and a very sharp female employee fixed the problem.jeff chapman
On Memorial Day Enrique Mejia did an amazing job helping us out, helped us with all the questions we had and showed us everything they had available to find the right car for us. However we were not too thrilled that after we test drove the car we had already thoroughly inspected decided to purchase, the keys were given to another associate to park it for us, but instead the other guy drove it around back and sold it to a different family. When Enrique told us what happened as we were midway through the purchasing process, told us that there was another car exactly like the one in the side lot. Since it was at the very end of the evening past their normal closing time almost 10pm, it was dark outside, we were rushed and werent able to fully inspect the car that was delivered to us before leaving the lot. The other associate dampened the experience for us, but Enrique did a great job in trying to help us out as much as possible, we will be going back to Enrique in the future for our next Subaru purchase. I’ve been going here for 3 years now. My experience has consistently been: poor customer service, decent service quality and don’t go in when they’re busy cuz they’ll miss your specific requests. It seems that their attitude is they have you over a barrel, because they’re the only Subaru dealer in a 60 mile radius.
My needs service lights flashed on, so I called and my Modesto Subaru Service team not only took my car in immediately and took care of oil change rotate tires, etcI love how professional and friendly everyone I spoke with in their team! Having issues with my Crosstrek on vacation 240 miles from home. Called service dept., had an appt within 24 hrs. Everyone was professional, courteous, very helpful and reassuring. Service was completed within an hr. I am extremely satisfied and grateful with everyone involved especially Al Johnson.
Not a good experience at the Subaru dealership, this is the third time I’ve been overlooked and ignored when I’m walking the lot looking for assistance for a purchase. Their either not interested or possibly not interested in me as I have seen other people receive help but not me. Guess I’ll be taking my business else where!!! I don’t want to bring up and social issues but it makes me think sometimes...
I did not have a problem with management here just a car salesman. Thomas told us that he would get us some lift tickets or even season passes even though the promotion was over. He kept assuring me that he knew how to get the tickets and that he would get them for me. He never got them for me... His boss told him that they didnt have the tickets anymore and not to go around telling people he can get them. He pulled me aside and said, dont worry I know how to get them. I have contacted him a few times since and he usually doesnt answer. He also told me he would give me a gas card for coming in and filling something out, but then that changed to... We dont have gas cards but you can take me to the gas station and I will fill it up. So when I came in again for a service I contacted him, he said that he would do it. When it came time for me to leave and him to gas it up, he was no where to be found. I have texted him since with no response... Just dont trust this guy if he promises you something.
I had to write a long review, I felt it was only fair to do so. I dont take the time to do this, but I had to give credit where credit is due. I purchased a 2016 WRX over a year and a half ago but put 48,000 miles on it during that period due to long commutes to the Bay Area.My release bearing (Throw-Out Bearing) was making a lot of noise, and my steering box was also making a lot of noise. After my car was diagnosed by Modesto Subaru, it was concluded that it needed a new clutch throw-out bearing, and a new steering rack. The only problem with that was; my warranty had expired at 36,000 and only the engine and transmission were covered up to 60K miles.I spoke with Nelson Peterson, the sales manager that had taken good care of me when I purchased the car. He said he would try his best to have the dealer cover the expensive repairs at not cost. Nelson spoke with Carl Hansen, the service manager and Carl told me that he wouldnt promise anything, but he would try to cover it at no cost.A week went by and I received a call from Carl telling me that he had ordered my parts, and the dealer would cover the repair costs at no charge.I was so happy to hear this and felt that both Nelson and Carl truly treated me like a valued customer, and really cared about long-term relationship not just one time sale.The repairs were made, I was given a brand-new loaner car (Forester) and didnt pay a cent for all this. Daniel Di Dio (Dan) was also very nice to me and kept me posted throughout the process.I cant say enough about this dealership and the staff, I have never ever experienced this level of great customer service. The repairs were over $2K and didnt pay a cent. They couldve easily told me that the warranty was expired and they couldnt do anything about it, instead they earned a loyal customer for life.This is the most honest and caring dealership I have ever dealt with and I have been leasing and buying cars since 1999 and have dealt with many dealership in the Modesto area. Modesto Subaru is where I will go for my next car.Thank you Nelson and Carl and everyone that made this possible. I love you guys and love my WRX.
Had a great experience there as a first buyers. They were able to get me a way better interest rate then I could on my own with zero down the sales manager Lapon Chanthamany was a huge help at making our first time getting a car a dream. Definitely recommend for future first time buyers!
I was greeted with a big smile by Tamara (shes the best), she was quick to disclose vehicle checks & condition, and quotes for parts needed, and the express service was very efficient (I was in&out in less than 40mins.) Ive gone to Modesto Subaru for all my scheduled service since 2012.
Anyone who works for a lender can answer this. In which universe did a lender ever made a approval condition to state a customer have to buy a warranty to get a loan approval. Every lender gives a loan to value call with term and rate either on wholesale book or retail book. This closure here are something. Capital One will never nor any Credit union. Will be forwarding info to DMV occupational license unit for review.
I bought a used car from Modesto Subaru one week ago for my 16 yr old as her 1st car. The salesman, Raul, was so informative and patient with my purchase. I told him what i could afford . He wasnt pushy, didnt try to sell me what i didnt need. He actually gave me a lower price than the sticker. True class and candid personality. Now to top the story, i financed part of this car. Contract complete. I recieved a phone call from James, a finacial advisor, a few days later. I was asked to come down to the dealership to change the contract. Thinking the worst, I was impressed that he found a better term loan for me that saves me more money over 4 yrs for only 1 dollar more per month from the first contract. Who does that? Does your dealership do that for you? I think not. At least take a look at Modesto Subaru while your shopping for your next car. Raul is great and i will buy from him again, but i realize that all of the staff is great. Happy shopping.John Flanagan.
Poor customer service. Staff lacks knowledge. Overpriced. Nothing express about oil change service. Reminds me to never buy a Subaru. I will continue to express to those around me and on media regarding poor service, outrageous prices, and lack of knowledge. This is my third Subaru service center and have yet to have one change my mind regarding Subaru.
I used to be a Subaru Ambassador and got so frustrated with this dealership I was telling buyers to look at other dealers. I bought my Crosstrek here and was treated like a sale and not a customer. I went in to get a noise looked at UNDER WARRANTY and was told the only way they would look at it was if I bought a service. I ended up having a rattle in my hatch door, after being lied to about dropping the car off they had it for 8 hours and when I got it back they told me they added insulation. Fast forward a few weeks I found they didnt do a single thing. Now the rattle is back even worse then before. I cannot believe they represent Subaru.
They have the best service. They are always helpful and courteous. I am in the East Bay and have had awful experiences at Livermore and Diablo Subaru. They are over scheduled and only want money. Drive a little more to Modesto if you have a problem or need a new Subaru.
Our recent visit to Modesto Subaru was another positively exceptional visit. We have used the services of their Sales, Parts and Services staff for over 10 years, of our 17 year love affair with Subaru vehicles. Our recent visit was to repair a recall item (puddlelights), which was scheduled and delivered as promised, along with a complete courtesy inspection. During our wait, we had arranged to meet with Lapon, to show us a new Forester, and a few hours later we drove off in a new Outback 3.6 R Limited. We bought another great car, from a great dealership; with excellent service and repair follow up. Our new Outback was purchased with dealer added options, which were scheduled promptly, and installed, during another exceptional service visit. Thank you to Lapon and all the staff at Modesto Subaru
This was my second service appointment. Like my first appointment, the service was excellent. I had the opportunity to use the Express Service this time and I was very pleased. My next service is at 30,000 miles, I anticipate the same experience. Thank you, Modesto Subaru!
Long story short. Yes, this is the short version.This is the worst dealership ever and has ruined my love for Subaru in general. Not only does the general manager, reggie white, do nothing but lip service, this dealership also never competed the dmv paperwork after everything was retracted. And dont start on the salesman that helped me, says one thing but when you do the paperwork its another thing. Just tell me you dont know bro instead of making empty promises. And wants a 5/5 on the survey? I dont think so. Not only did I lose my job, I lost the car of my dreams. Promised to pay $250 for the inconvenience of having to take back my traded car and nope, never got the check. Had to call back multiple times for the mats they took from my traded car, which I did (and that was when I was on good terms with reggie). Missing the cup holder stopper from my traded car and license plates! And they took the Toyota sticker on the car. So now I cant even drive the car because if I get pulled over, Im going to get a freaking ticket! They said they would get back to me about my license plates and the accessory but those never replaced. so now I have to go to Toyota and order that for my car SINCE ITS A LEASE. But not the license plates since dmv states that I dont own the car. Reggie never returns my calls and text messages. So much for taking care of me. I love that fake salesman smile.I will have to again physically go back to get the proper documentation stating that the dmv paperwork is done correctly since they still have my Toyota in their name. Yep, you heard that right. They never completed the dmv correctly and completely when I returned the Subaru and took back my traded car. Dmv, aaa, and Toyota cant do anything about it. No way of getting ahold of the owner, but I will find a way.They treat you great when you buy a car but as soon as it doesnt favor you, boy do they turn their backs so fast. In trumps word: sad! P.s., not a trump supporter.
Ron Meyer was terrific to work with. He explained the various models of Subaru and toured me around the Certified Pre-owned cars as well. He also lead me through the lease experience quite well. Reggie White made it possible for me to lease a fabulous car at the price I could afford.
I have had nothing but positive experiences with Mosesto Subaru. The are prompt and friendly and always answer my questions. I have started getting all of my regular vehicle maintenance done here. For the past year, I have driven an hour from Merced to get my vehicle serviced here because I trust them to take care of my vehicle.
Jesus - Sales consultant was excellent. Of course since I was just shopping and wasnt buying that day his? sales manager, Lapon came over to pressure me. Fine, all car dealerships are the same in this. However being told to vote yes for some bill so that car dealerships are required to close sundays so that he can spend time at church and with his family is horrible. Not only is it discriminitory (I guess Jewish people with Saturday sabbaths dont count) its quite offensive to individuals that dont need religion or politics to buy a car. This sales manager made me very uncomfortable and although I will probably buy a Subaru I will make sure it is NOT at this location.

Miriam****My experience went pleasant from the start to finish only because of sales rep. I was shopping for a used car, gave my specifications. Although I wanted the car prices to be a tad bit lower (based on car conditions/Kelley Blue Book/ Milege) vehicle prices should’ve been lower. She vouched for me. The management came out and attempt to sway me, and didn’t want to drop it (confused of ‘where I was getting the price deduction from’. So even if I didn’t purchase becaus it wasn’t worth the vehicle. I would still go back and buy if they had a vehicle in my price range and met my criteria all because of the sales rep Miriam. She had great customer service. Was patient in my long list of questions, and showed me all cars that fit in my range.That’s how you retain customers folks. And Suburu definitely did that.
The car internet rep Mike Waller and his sales manager Lapon Chanthamany were incredibly easy to work with regarding a used vehicle that we found online and wanted to see and test drive first in person. Both representatives did not make my husband or I feel any pressure to purchase immediately, but provided us with excellent customer service answering our questions and compromising on areas they were able to financially. I would certainly recommend these representatives and this specific dealership due to our positive experience with them tonight.
As a former manager in the industry, I am compelled to share how impressed I am with the team at Modesto Subaru.After doing our homework, my wife and I decided on the Forester. After falling for the XT Premium model and the Quartz Blue Pearl color, we learned that there were only a few available in all of California that met our exact specifications and options. We worked with DEBRA who provided useful information, let us leave without any pressure, worked for weeks to secure the exact vehicle we wanted and communicated effectively throughout the process. There were no typical salesmanship games on purchase day; we were able to agree on pricing within 15 minutes, then received equally impressive customer service from Ed in finance and was ultimately congratulated by Perry the sales manager who worked with Debra to achieve the pricing we were looking for. In the end, the dealership also made a $250 charitable donation in our names and offered us free season passes to Sierra Ski Resort.With my experience in auto sales, I can affirm that this dealership is one of the good ones. In an industry where open honesty is rarely the default setting, my wife and I are grateful to Debra for serving her clients with integrity and professionalism.

Excellent service with a 30,000 mile checkup in a timely way. We dropped in without an appointment enroute to Yosemite and still made it to Yosemite on time with a like new Outback. Our entire journey covered 4200 miles from Idaho through Oregon and California.Modesto Subaru will be our friend for years to come.
My wife was driving our 2015 Legacy from Oregon to Fresno and had just reached the Manteca cutoff from I5 to 99 when the yellow oil light came on! She pulled off the road and called me; I found Modesto Subaru on Google Maps and talked to Steve in Service. He said to come by and they would check it out, no problem. Sure enough, another fellow checked it out, and added a qt of oil, no charge. Shes now back on the road and everythings fine. Such amazing service and a kind attitude..... I wished that they were also in Oregon so that we could always benefit from this great service ethic!
It’s been three weeks and we haven’t heard back from Modesto Subaru. We have left messages/voicemails about their huge error registering the incorrect vehicle. We were in an accident & found out that they registered the wrong vehicle and that our 2019 Subaru Forrester was not insured. We leased it and Crystal Nelson stated she would do her job and register it with DMV and the insurance. However, she registered the wrong vehicle (she registered the trade-in). Looks like we’ll have to pursue their negligence in court.
Wasnt super impressed, my salesman was very outgoing and nice but I gave him my budget and he kept pushing me to a brand new car after I repeatedly told him I know I couldnt afford it. And they super low balled the appraisal for my car. Lowest amount offered to date...
Could not have asked for a better car buying experience. My wife and I looked for a used car for several weeks, with a baby on the way we needed some bigger than the VW Passat we had. After lots of time, research, and doing our homework, we ended up buying a new Subaru Outback at Modesto Subaru. We feel very good with the price we paid on the car, and ended up buying a new car for a price not too much more than many of the used cars we looked at. Frank, Nelson, and Anitoli were a pleasure to deal with and went above and beyond what I would expect any dealer to do. Nelson actually let me take a car home for the night because with a baby, my wife couldnt just jump in our car and come down to see it. Everyone at the dealer treated us with respect and fairness, we very highly recommend Modesto Subaru to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle.

We purchased the Subaru Ascent Limited 2020 and we absolutely love it, the dealership in Modesto, CA was amazing, during the covid19 we were given an appointment and met outside they treated us extremely well our sales person Ramon Martinez was extremely through and we loved our experience we recommend the dealer, the financial team, our sales guy.
Ive reached out to your sales department 3 times throughout the past 4 days. They kept saying they would email me information pertaining to something. I have left my contact info 2 of those times. Ive been ignored for 4 days now. Extremely unprofessional and waste of my time.

2022-02-02Everyone I interacted with was super nice. I called ahead of time to see if they were charging a markup I talked to Mark and he assured me they were not. I drove 2 hrs to sit down with mark and order my new Subaru Forester wilderness. I got it at msrp and as I waited Mark kept me up to date with the waiting period. Once my car was in I was notified right way and picked it up with six miles on it. I love this car and this is a dealership that cares about their customers. I will be a repeat customer in the future

Right from the get-go, Sarge was attentive to our needs; all while having blunt honesty and integrity, which isnt common from a salesperson these days. He was patient throughout our entire car buying process, and I feel that he went above and beyond in each step of the process with a smile on his face. 2022-06-27First service for my Subaru. This includes oil & filter change along with tire rotation.Service advisor Brendan was prompt and courteous. The facilities were very clean.Waiting area was clean, provided coffee, donuts, etc.Service was completed in just over an hour which is very reasonable for a Monday morning.All services were completed perfectly. I checked a few wheel nuts for accurate torque. I found none out of spec. No leaks, no drips.Extras: I didn’t mention the tpms light on because I bought a separate set of wheels and tires, but they fixed it without charge.Tech did leave his water bottle in the cup holder. I returned it. Not really an issue for me.I accidentally left my mobile phone on the mount and it was noted in the comments “*Camera in car”.Overall, this service went very well and I would recommend Modesto Subaru based on my experience

She is very knowledgeable about Subaru vehicles and goes out of her way to make car buying a seamless experience. Erica was great in the follow-up appointment to make sure I was fully aware of how to use all the features incorporated in my new car. I have purchased two vehicles from Modesto Subaru because of the friendly, professional staff and the outstanding service department. Subaru cars are great and Modesto Subaru is the best dealership anywhere.

Johnathan was her sales person, He was efficient, he listened carefully to her needs, and was never pushy. He made her experience stress-free. Johnathan picked her up after selling her vehicle to drive her to the dealership to finish her purchase and while on the drive he was very efficient in explaining all the details and gadgets that came with her new vehicle. She truly would recommend Johnathan to anyone who’s looking to purchase a Subaru. And let’s not forget Gabriel… He was helpful as well he stepped in for a day when Jonathon wasn’t available. The manager James according to my mother was the best manager she had ever met. The gentleman in finance was also very pleasant and was very thorough in explaining the extended warranty. 2022-02-28Best place to get your new Subaru if you’re in NorCal! (Yes they can deliver!) Sarge and Mark were amazing to work with, they were both super patient and willing to answer any of my questions. When the vehicle arrived, Sarge walked me through the paperwork over the phone and delivered it from Modesto to the Bay Area with excellent customer service. He was very responsive and explained all the details about the car during the delivery. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend Subaru Modesto.

2022-05-16Modesto Subaru has some of the best service reps Ive ever had the pleasure to work with. Lets face it, no one likes taking their car into the service center. Normally, something is wrong with the car and needs to be corrected. In our case it was a service recall, required by the DMV.Modesto Subaru made the experience easier to deal with, a whole lot less hassle. They have now become a business I will use and dealership I will seriously consider when buying a new car because its clear they take customer relationships seriously. To have each employee care about customer service takes a leadership team that understands customer service is critical to the bottom line. Well done. A rare five star review

Appreciate that they recognize me as a returning customer. Im a fan of Modesto Subaru.If only they would offer to sell me a new Forester at 75% of MSRP. Now THAT would be great day.
