Great Sandwiches! Still dont understand why it takes almost 30 minutes to make a sandwich! Yes Ive literally watched the staff in the kitchen fart around instead of working. They need an Operations Manager! But the food Is Delicious!

It was national pastrami day,so we decided to get pastrami sandwiches.Very tasty and reasonably priced.The French roll was fresh,nice, not hard or too thick.I got mine on rye, so they give you 2 rye sandwiches for one. The portions were generous and prices very reasonable.Some other local places were selling same sandwich,with less meat, for more money.Will definitely be frequenting this spot.They have pizza,pasta,salads,calzones, that I have yet to try. The cannoli was yummy,makes a good breakfast
Always great!! Pizza, sandwiches, calzone, pasta, you cant go wrong. Everyone that works there, is awesome! I drive by 15 pizza places, we have tried them all, on my way to Mickeys, none compare.
Got a calzone with meatballs, jalapeños, and garlic. When I added garlic, I didn’t think they would pour tons of UNCOOKED garlic in the calzone. The garlic was so overpowering it was impossible to eat. I deconstructed the calzone and had a huge pile of garlic on my plate. Meatballs were tasteless, or my palate was singed from all the garlic. Either way, avoid the calzones!

Convenient place to grab a bite after a day at the beach. The shop is usually busy, with some interesting characters hanging around (beach bums, bored locals, teens, families). It’s entertaining but doesn’t make for a very comfortable experience.The pizzas are filling and hit the spot if you’re craving a nice greasy slice. Can’t have too much because it gets very salty. The sandwiches are fine but nothing to write home about.The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and I can see why this shop is a local favorite. Mickey also knows how to work the social media circuit, coming up with unique food ideas that entice the new generation to come in and check them out.Heads up that parking is terrible on Hermosa if you plan on driving. Head away from the pier and you’ll find some spots.
Got the eggplant parmigiana and pepperoni calzone for takeout today. The eggplant parmigiana came with a side of garlic bread, too. The food was super delicious and the staff was very friendly.This was my first time eating eggplant parmigiana, and it had so many layers with a great meaty texture that I didn’t even miss not eating meat.The bread was fresh and chewy, and the calzone was so flavorful that I didn’t even need the marinara sauce that came with it.Portions are quite generous and reasonably priced. The food was hearty and there were enough leftovers for another meal. :)
So..my family is sitting at the walk by on the beach, and this lady strolls by with this pizza..and a total of 7 people just oogled her pizza..so my wife asked, ..whered you get the pizza?..She replied MICKEYS..ITS THE SICILIAN!Cousin immediately confirmed this to be the case.So, we head over there on the way home, grab 4 slices and a pastrami sandwich and dipped to the house..ate those slices on the way home...oh buddy...wife smiling, teenager calmed all the way down, baby SLEEP....those guys in there are great and it showed in the food as well..bravo Team Mickeys.Any time were down that way, you have a return customers!

Had one of the best Pastrami sandwiches ever. Had it classic style, mmm if Im ever craving pastrami Im going there. Also tried the pepperoni pizza, was that perfect pizza joint cheesy and pep goodness! They have inside and outside seating, but grab your food a walk to the beach and enjoy your meal and life.
Incredibly well stocked liquor store (hella sundries, nothing dusty, extensive wine selection, all the candies and CBD drinks) as well as a bomb sandwich shop AND pizzeria. Family owned and some of the nicest guys you can imagine. 10/10 every time support small business and all that

I love Mickeys. One of the best Italian places. Its perfect. Its a store and deli all in one, with beautiful beach views right behind the shop. The food at the deli is superb. Top 2 pizza places for me and its easily in a fight for number 1. So fire!!!!
A favorite deli for the neighborhood and especially if youre heading to the beach nearby. I come here often for sandwiches and Im never disappointed. The food is delicious, fresh and on point. A great spot if you have a sandwich craving. Staff are always friendly, the store is always clean and prices are reasonable. Its hard to find a good deli but when you do you have to stick with it. Im never disappointed when coming to Mickeys. And yes it can be busy at times but the wait is definitely worth it. A must try in Hermosa Beach. The pastrami deluxe and tuna are my favorites. Parking can be difficult since theres only street parking but nonetheless all the hassle will be worth it to get your hands on one of Mickeys sandwiches.
Wait is long usually because they are busy but the bread for their subs tastes amazing. Recommended ordering then going enjoying the beach for 30 minutes and then coming back for your sandwiches

Would give this place five stars, but parking is pretty brutal. Its right near da beach, boi! So youre dealing with that type of parking dynamic. Lord have mercy. Other than that, this place is bomb. Classic deli sandwiches done proper.
Good italian deli and market. Stopped by there for lunch. The large sandwiches are huge! bread was dense but good (a little too dense for me but not complaining). Ordered the italian deluxe. It was good but Ive had better. probably 7/7.5 out of ten. Staff was super friendly. Nice sitting area on the outside steps from the sand. I can imagine on a summer weekend, the lines are packed.

Amazing local joint, especially if youre looking for lunch/dinner options. We always order their pizza, but the sandwiches are great too. Great size subs with lots of options. We had an issue one time with one of the food delivery vendors, and the owner of Mickeys fixed it and delivered it himself. Incredible service and a favorite of our restaurants in the South Bay.

They should real good I got the Hermosa sandwich avocado and deluxe, Its been awhile since Ive eaten here I like the changes but they dont remember me I guess because I had to go back three times for jalapenos but in the end it was good had some jalapeno chips good stuff, had to top it off with a lemon slurpee
I’m a Redondo/Hermosa local of 12+ years (because I grow up here). Every Saturday or so, we come on down to the beach to swim , but to also get Mickey’s. Through the many many times of going here Mickeys staff and food never disappoints! The staff are very helpful and friendly and the food is bomb. I’m not much of a pastrami guy but I never pass up mickeys. My favorite dish is their deep dish pepperoni pizza and it is always perfect. After being here time after time, they never disappoint. Always guaranteed 5 stars. I’d highly recommend this South Bay gem.
Mikeys has been around for a long time & My friends & I eat there quiet often because its Good Food, Convenient & Close to the Marina! I recommend there Pastrami Pizza if youve never tried it! My friends & I were turned onto the Pizza a few months ago & Fell in Love with it! Gotta try it once! You wont regret it!

This is an vintage counter service deli / liquor store by the beach that has amazing time tested sandwiches and italian dishes. My favorite is Eggplant Parmigiana 12 - They have a Sauce and Cheese sandwich on the cheap.Consider calling in your order or take a stroll for the 15 minutes it takes to prepare your order.

Got drinks from here and hung out on the beach. Got hungry and came back for bomb sandos and took them back on the beach. So good. We left the beach and hit Mickeys up again for drinks back at our place. We raged it on our rooftop all night, then walked back over for a drunk pizza run. Bomb.com. The next morning, we walked back over for hangover Gatorade and phenomenal breakfast burritos.
I love this joint. Your favorite neighborhood spot for a reason (even though I’ve traveled from Marina Del Rey just for a few slices of their bomb pizza) with just about everything you could need. Quality is consistent and service is spectacular, super nice workers whom are extremely hospitable and on-point every time. They kinda make the visit! Their sandwiches are amazing, as well, I recommend the Roast Beef Dip Deluxe with au jus sauce and my friend loves the Ruben Deluxe and Meatball sandwich. And OMG the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka pasta is my new fav. Their patio is especially great for a sunset and pizza stop which I frequent often. Look forward to stopping by and can’t wait to try more of their menu
The location is really cool. During a beach trip this is a great stop for a sandwich. There are other italian foods as well. You order at the cashier counters. They are helpful when your placing your order. The are also different types of soda drinks and juices many to choose from Chips, candy like your regular liquor store. I ordered the pesto chicken pizza slice and they put it back in the oven to reheat. The flavor is on point with pesto and cheese and of course the chicken. I also ordered the Mickey Special sandwich but I forgot to ask for olive oil + vinegar + salt + pepper. The bread was baked well nice top texture and inside of bread soft. I got a Frosties Blue drink and Arizona Raspberry. Overall I say pretty well. I will be return for the other sandwiches and pasta. Thank you!

This is our new go to pizza spot. We’ve been trying a different pizza place for every election event this year and seems we saved the best for last. I also appreciated when I was delivered the wrong order, they were super apologetic and more than made up for it with an XL pizza I’ll be eating for days. Can’t wait to come back and try the deli sandwiches - I’ve struggled to find good ones in LA.

Im lucky enough to live 1 block from this place. Ive tried most of the sandwiches and have never been disappointed. The calzones are enormous. Everything is an amazing value, especially in a beach town. For $10 you can actually feel full.Its usually packed, so ordering ahead online is a wise decision. There are several free 15 minute parking spots along the curb if you are driving.
I love this place. An old favorite of mine since 1972. My friends and I would grab some food here for lunch after a long morning of surfing. Recently took my college-aged daughter here and she loved it. Charming as it ever was and our sandwiches were 🔥. I live in the Midwest now, but when Im in town I always make an effort to drop in.
Outstanding sandwiches. They are large and they dont skimp! They also have pastas. It is a liquor store/mini mart as well. Be prepared for a wait at busy times.

Love Mickeys, been coming here for most of my life, (over 30 years). They have a good selection of snacks and drinks. A really good selection of wine and beer, decently priced on it too. The deli is amazing, the pizza is always on point and beyond good sold by the slice or by the whole pie, the sandwiches are big and at a good price. They also offer a lot of the other things you expect from an Italian style deli. Right of the sand as well so easy place to grab a bit or drink while at the beach

Im obsessed with Mickeys Italian Delicatessen!! When you want something bad and dont know what you want... they have it. I got the special sub extra oil and vinegar and I was losing my mind it was so good. I have to say if you love pizza try their breakfast pizza. I know it may sound weird but I truly think it is the best pizza ever. I usually hate pizza. A friend brought it to a recording session and I seriously dream about it. Less than Jason Mamoa but seriously I never dreamt about food before.. I blame this safer at home thing it makes me so HUNGRY. So if you get there and you just want something lite try the small sized side of pesto pasta salad. SO dang good. The guys here are good people and my family has been eating here for 2 generations. I pretty much run past the place because Im trying not to turn into a manatee eating so much but it is worth every calorie and youre supporting a small local business. Just get away from your stove, do yourself and or fam a favor and try it!! You will be happy you did. Also very clean and practicing healthy operating so you will be safe. I love that they care about the community. Order ahead and pick up and enjoy!

Great sandwich! Get the chipotle chicken. My partner got that and I was jealous of him to the point where he gave me half and took half of mine. I had the turkey tuna deluxe. Also they are very filling. I wish they had other locations closer to my home.

Yum, never been here and the food and service was stellar. Will definitely be back. Chicken pesto pizza was bigggg and tasted great. I had the large deluxe sandwich and it was huge. Finished it the next day for a snack. Plenty to be had at this great spot for beach food and more.

What an epic east coast style gem in the heart of Hermosa Beach. If you you are not an east coast transplant, I highly recommend this joint. We stayed on the Strand for my beat friends proposal and spent about $500 here, and would do it all over again. 6 stars for this place.
Love their eggplant Parmigiano dinner (I dont mean the sandwich) and I usually get one of their generous healthy salads... Both last me up to 3-4 meals!

Great little market practically on the beach. Its not cheap but you can find coffee, a cold drink, or a sandwich while youre at the beach. I believe this is the last of its kind anywhere on the South Bay beaches. Reminds me of my childhood visits to the beach. Its a funky little place like Hermosa was before the rich folks moved in. A bit of Berkeley at the beach!

Awesome meatball sandwich! I saw the good reviews and stopped in for a deluxe meatball sandwich. The bread is outstanding and the sandwich is huge, you wont go hungry. Plenty of drink choices including beer and wine but you cant consume them on the property. Theres a table inside and several tables outside to eat at.
LONG wait to be told too busy to get something through the pickup window even though was for a delivery service they signed up for and I should go stand in line. Not the right way to treat an increasingly important part of your business. On the plus side was clean and everyone was masked properly.

This place IS A MUST VISIT when you are down in Hermosa. I believe the main manager there to be one of the nicest and most kind hearted store owner dudes that Ive ever met. And I only met him once. Really great counter menu for the Deli and an exceptional selection overall for what you can get in the rest of the store/goods. Especially beverages, of all kinds. Perfection.

The pizza is absolutely fire here, its really freaking good, I like that its close to the beach and the food is delicious. Its located inside a store so you can also grab snacks and drinks on your way out, parking is almost never an issue but I also tend to go later in the day so that might help Haha but the employees are always very welcoming and the are is good, the pizza is the best part haha really good, definitely recommend going here if you want delicious pizza.
Always a great visit to Mickeys Deli for a sandwich. Took my daughters friend for her first time. The place was busy but the wait was shorter then expected. Ill be back again soon. Sandwiches were fresh, we got a side of Mickeys sauce to dip our sandwiches in.

Great local market. They have pizza, sandwiches, deli, snacks, drinks, and a decent selection of wine. Everything you need for a weekend at the beackhouse or to make a decent meal. Slushy machines as well. Great local south Hermosa staple. There is also an outdoor patio/ seating area to enjoy the sunshine and ocean breezes.

I went here for lunch with a buddy of mine that recommended this place.WOW! just WOW! they have some of the best sandwiches I have tried.The flavors and fresh products they use. I had the Pastrami and that was real good but my favorite was the Hermosa Chicken sandwich. I highly recommend this place.
Best food in the South bay hands down. The pizza is better than most Italian joints serve and the sandwiches are done to perfection. I always make it a point to stop for lunch if Im in the area.Just get there before 11 or call it in if you dont want to wait.

This place is a Hermosa Beach institution. Why pack sandwiches for the beach when for about the price of a subway sub, you can get a handmade sandwich with better ingredients than u have at home and triple the meat of subway. BIG FAN!!
I was very disappointed in the sandwich it didnt seem to have a lot of lettuce or even mayonnaise and in general I think that the sandwiches are getting a lot less worth the amount that we pay for them

Been coming here for 15+ years. The street drive from long Beach is well worth it. Gonzalo has always been more than welcoming and the Food is Second to None. My Usual is the Turkey Deluxe w/ only Lettuce, Tomato, Onion and Cheese, sometimes a Pepperoni Pizza. Lemme tell you this Tosted Sandwich is so Addict9 and the Pizza (when fresh out of the oven) is unreal. Doesnt get better than this. Enjoy it outside in their patio area while taking in the Awesome southern Cali Weather and youre in a Foodie Heaven. This is definitely my Sandwich of choicbon my Last Meal List. Hands down, no questions asked.

I love the vibe at mickeys. it feels like its been in hermosa forever, the staff is great - even the store itself feels like something out of the 70s. the sandwiches are pretty good. the fancy italian combo, however, wasnt so fancy. the bread they use is also of the quite soft variety, which is a matter of personal taste, but isnt necessarily mine. i wouldnt say no to lunch here again, though!

Ive been visiting here for over 3 years now and they have been incredible every time. Best clazones in the area hands down. The workers are very efficient, yet laid back which seems so suitable for Hermosa. DEFINITELY visit this place if you want good food and a memorable experience.

Best pizza and sandwiches in the south bay. All of their food is prepared fresh from scratch. The small pizza here is more than a large at papajohns or any other pizza restaurant Ive ever been too. I have friends that come to visit me in hermosa beach and always order and take home from Mickeys delicatessen, service is always fantastic and the place is spotless too. Its a great store, delicatessen and high q0uality Italia. Food too. Ordered a pepperoni pizza from here yesterday. Didnt taste very good. Gave myself and my girlfriend stomach aches and diarrhea. Not coming back!

South Bay icon. Started by real NYers. It’s Certainly not what they’re known for, but their sausage breakfast burrito is easily one of the best in South Bay.
Have been going there since 1978. Stopped 2 years ago when the bottom of my calzones were covered in black soot again and again. I ordered first thing in the morning. Clean your oven. That black soot causes pancreatic cancer Pauley.
Pizza was only marginal. The crust on the deep dish sicilian had a funny bread taste to it. Reminds me of pizza from the mall.
They truly make a great sub sandwich. Have for many years. A great old line beach store and sandwich joint. 👍

An icon establishment in Hermosa Beach. Been there so long that, if you are a native of the South Bay, your parents went there. Great pizzas and sandwiches. I always make a visit when I am in the area.

Pricey but its a great place to pick up something to eat or drink at the beach. Its 1 block from the beach and authentic beach store like we had in Manhattan and Redondo in the 60s and 70s (think beach boys era). Thank you Hermosa Beach for still having something left from the real beach era when middle class people actually lived there

I love going to Mickeys any time of the day! Breakfast, lunch or dinner - theyll have something to meet your cravings. Take something off the menu or customize it to your liking. Best part is you can grab a sandwich after work and take it on the beach just a few steps away and watch the sunset!

Heard a lot of great things about this spot but my bread was chew and I crunched my tooth on something it was the avocado stem part fell in my sandwich..clearly an accident but the bread I cant give an excuse for. Staff was great.h in

Large pizza was ok but hard to chew maybe the bread old line 1 and 2 thought was for. Store purchase or food ordering same per line dis organized took almost 1hr to get food over cooked could have been just a busy day il be back tho nice spot needs better managenment thanks

Get inside, long line. Eventually pay. Go outside, longer line. Go to window to pay again 10 minutes later. “Can I help you?” Yes, you just saw me, I’m Matt, two Reubens. “We don’t have that order.” Wtsishwjebsbsjwueheh. Wait another 25 minutes. Two now cold sandwiches.Why can’t this deli figure out and communicate a system for ordering a sandwich? Come on guys!
I grew up on the Strand in the 70s with my skateboard, would go to Mickeys for a hot combo sandwich, 36 years later brought my wife theyre told her to order a hot combo and there it was, great place to eat when I go to Hermosa my first place.

Old school subway sandwiches, lots of choices, friendly staff, i just didnt like the bread. Expecting crusty but got soft.
Such a dope little beach town spot. Need a pizza? Check. Need a sandwich? Check. How about toilet paper, cat food, cereal and beer? Check. Don’t sleep on the breakfast pizza or the sauce sandwich with cheese.
Havent eaten here but the workers are always so nice and the food smells great. I do deliveries so I pick up from here occasionally. I hope to order for myself soon.

2022-03-01Been coming here since I was young and the food never disappoints. Highly recommend trying the pastrami pizza (mustard as sauce, pastrami and diced pickles on pizza crust) with an order of their mushrooms. Stopped by with my family for dinner and I ordered the meat lasagna which was nice and hot perfect for the late night weather. There is also a path next to the seating area which leads straight to the sand & water. You can grab food and eat on the beach or go swimming after you finish your mealThey also have an ATM inside if needed!

2022-06-13Great people. Very happy to serve and they get it going fast. But the chicken Alfredo is seriously bland. Zero Parmesan. Little cream. Just sad and disappointing. Garlic bread is good. I will not give up on them. Coming back next time to try something else. I know they’ll redeem themselves.

2022-02-05Went here from a recommended friend. This place didnt disappoint. The place looks a little sketch at first but its a small place and convince store in one so not a deal breaker. We got the chicken parm and I believe the beef deluxe. Totally worth the drive and wait in my opinion from Westchester. Will be coming back sometime to try the other subs and food. Parking on the street is available mostly we went in the evening for dinner. The staff is nice and the wait wasnt long.

2022-02-20This place is awesome. Its located right off of Hermosa/ Redondo beach. We have ate lunch there twice now, and my friend group has ordered several items from the menu. Each sandwich we have tried has been highly rated by whoever eat them. I loved the Mickeys sub and the pastrami sub. My buddy enjoyed a pizza slice and my other friend who doesnt eat meat had an excellent egg salad sandwich. All in all I would highly rate this place as one of the best delis I have ever been to. The sandwiches are very large portions that will fill you up or even give you two meals worth of food.

2022-02-24I love this place. I usually go for my walks on the beach, and then stop here for a slice of pizza. The service is always courteous & quick, and the food is good. I also get a little tub of the chicken pasta salad to go. Overall, one of my favorite spots in the Hermosa area for take out casual dining. They also have a wide variety of non-alcoholic drinks, beer, wine, & liquor.

2022-04-30Delicious sandwiches, pizzas, little store inside for snacks or drinks and small drugstore aisle. Great potato salad. Unsure if wheelchair accessible, main entrance has a step up. Has a small eating area with a pickup window so wheelchair users could possibly order there. Right by the strand so not much parking except for metered. Lovely to grab food and eat by the ocean.Only downside is orders can take a while. Was told ten minutes for two sandwiches but took twenty. Could have been a one time thing. Also I appreciated that workers were still wearing masks!

2021-07-06Nice little liquor store close to the beach with food options like pizza, subs, and salads. They have plenty of decently priced drinks and snacks to choose from if you need something to grab while visiting the beach. I had the Mickey’s Combo sub and it was really solid. Everything you want from an Italian sub like lettuce, pickles, pepperoncini, red onion, mustard, and mayo with a wide selection of meats to choose from. They have cold and hot subs.Subs come in 7” or 11” and I had the 7” which is plenty for a lunch or to split with someone for a snack. The sub I had was the perfect ratio of veggies, condiments, and meat. The store wasn’t very busy when I went and I got my food within 5 minutes of ordering. If they’re really busy I would expect to wait 15-30min for food.They have a small selection of “essential” items like toilet paper and cups if you need something like that. There’s a small patio area outside with covered tables to eat at but will fill up fast. Workers were friendly and made sure I was helped.Will definitely be back if I get the chance for some beverages or some lunch or an evening snack.

2022-05-29Local staple. Always fresh salads, sandwiches and pizza. I regularly drop by on my from the beach and order pizza or two to go and grab a couple of drinks as well. Ive dropped by mornings and late at night, just before they close. Still nice, hot and crispy pizza.

2022-06-09Been here a few times. The pizza is good, but I prefer the deli sandwiches (turkey deluxe is my fav). They’ve got other snacks and drinks inside and the workers are all super friendly! They’re usually pretty fast unless they’re busy.
