Meet head movers was great! We weren’t Moving to a new location, but needed to move some stuff around the house that we couldn’t move ourselves. We had Miguel and Taylor as our movers and they couldn’t have been nicer or more professional! They were very careful with our belongings and walls. We even had them build a crib (which they had never done 😂) and it turned out great! Thanks again! 11/10 would recommend.
We had a tough move from a second floor condo to a three story condo with all the heavy furniture going to the third floor. The meatheads were great from quote to after move follow up. They did a great job disassembling, wrapping and getting everything out and in. Everyone was friendly and really hustled. I will definitely be using them for my next move.
Extremely bad experience with them. I had a very specific request from the first time that part of our future should be moved to the junkyard and I was told they would do it without any issue. In the day of the move the movers said that dumping furniture was not something that they would do and eventually after consulting with their manager they agreed to do it only before doing anything else. So first thing that they did was taking the furniture to the junkyard and charged me 1.5 hour extra for the truck and 4 movers plus drive time. I ended up paying almost 3 times that I would pay to a junk removal company. The movers were okay but slow. When you are being paid in hourly basis there is really no need to hurry!!! They spent a long time to assemble two beds and after they left we figured one of them was not assembled properly and the hardwares were missing. The worst part was that I asked for unpacking service but the crew had no idea about it. So they left us with mountains of unpacked boxes. The next day a MANAGER called to arrange for the unpacking but she she changed the plan several times that we decided to call the unpacking service off. Her arrogance and unprofessional attitude explained why everything was a mess. After all it was a very frustrating experience with this company and their expensive services were not worth whatsoever. I DO NOT recommend Meathead for any type of move at all!
This company saved us when the movers we hired didnt show up to empty a moving truck that had come cross country and needed to be returned. Raul and Josh got all of the heavy furniture out of the truck and up three flights of stairs in less than two hours. We will use them the next time we need a mover. They were truly awesome.
Moving into our new home was a stressful time. I had to reschedule 3 times...due to paperwork issues. The customer service rep. was ALWAYS helpful and accommodating. The video inventory call went GREAT! Very friendly and very fast. The Meatheads were all very nice, respectful and grateful. I would HIGHLY recommend this company and already have recommended them to one of my best friends moving in March. I hope I dont have to move again for years but if something comes up I will be reaching out to Meathead Movers for sure. I moved from a 2BR top flr apartment (w/ a freight elevator) into a 4 story single-family home. A LOT of STAIRS, and corners....everything arrived in good shape w/ only 1 small scratch on one of the walls which in my opinion is a GREAT JOB considering how much stuff we moved.
The movers themselves were really great. Nice guys, hard workers and took good care of my things for the most part. That said my mattress was damaged during the move. These things happen though and Im not terribly upset by the damage. Where Meathead Movers has been a real disappointment is in their handling of the damage. It took almost 10 days to get the correct person on the phone to try to resolve the damage. Once I got Allison Montes on the phone, which was a very difficult task, rather than explain how they determine the compensation for the damage she talked in circles about various hoops I need to jump through. As of now, I having been told that there is no formal process used calculate the damages. I am told that she will decide the value. This seems quite arbitrary, and her talking in circles was very misleading. I believe intentionally so.The guys doing the work were great, unfortunately the company creates a bit of a wild goose chase to get the proper employees on the phone, is misleading if not dishonest when you do get them on the phone and they do not stand behind their services. With that said, I would not recommend using Meathead Movers.
Taylor W ; Josh O; and Liam M were phenomenal!!!They took such care in wrapping and carefully moving my furniture through some difficult spots. My furniture is very big and heavy and needed to be maneuvered through a u-shape staircase in the old residence and the new. This move was no small taskThey are polite and professional. They know how to position and reposition furniture so as to cause no damage to walls and furniture or flooringI recommended them to my real estate agent and recommend them to all. They are well priced and offer full valuation protection.I am more than thrilled to have chosen Meathead movers and so thankful that the three movers that were sent were Taylor, Josh, and LiamThank you ... thank you !!
Meathead Movers did a great job of moving me into my apartment within two hours. I only had about two rooms to move in, but needed to bring it up stairs, and get it all organized. They were very nice, promptly, patient, and I couldnt be more thankful to have hired someone I felt I could trust.
I was moving and was kind of nervous about finding a good company to make my move with. I had heard meathead movers advertised on the radio and even seen their truck on the road. When I looked them up online they only got stellar reviews. Since I work at a college, I felt good that they use student athletes to make the move. I also liked their website which I found very easy to use and as soon as I filled out the online form, they followed up with a phone call. Every single person I talked to/interacted with was kind and professional! Whether is was a reminder call, or the person I talked to in order to reschedule (several times), or Fernando who came to my house to assess what needed to be moved, or Mike R and Chris C (the movers) I was blown away.Mike and Chris were amazing guys who carried some of my heaviest furniture up 2 flights of stairs like it was nothing. I had moved a couch from a different location the day before and it took me so long I was nervous that this bigger move was going to exceed the 3 hr min. but like I said, Mike and Chris made it look easy and it only took 2 and a half hours. And even with all their speed, they were very careful with all of my belongings. I really appreciated how they took the time to wrap all the furniture in heavy blankets, so things like my beautiful dresser wouldnt be scratched. They also confirmed several times that we go everything loaded in the truck and were very patient while my mom and I fussed a little over where to put things. Mike was also very good in explaining the forms I had to sign and made the experience very stress-free! They even offered my mom a folding chair to sit on!Everyone in this company did everything to make my moving day smooth. I felt it was a good price for exceptional service! I was encouraged to leave a review, but I definitely did not have to recommend Meathead Movers. However, I knew by the end I was going to give these guys a glowing review. Ask for Mike R. And Chris C. To make your move! I recommend this company 10/10, you wont be disappointed!
My movers cancelled at the last minute. I called Meatheads and they were able to do my move with only 1 days notice. The guys were friendly, professional, and very helpful. I highly recommend them for anyone. Thanks Taylor W., Ben, Isiah G., and Richard K. For being so kind and making my move such a pain free experience! Im actually glad the other company cancelled.
Meathead Movers far exceeded our expectations and then some! Moving can be such a stressful endeavor, but from start to finish, we were blown away with the first class service, professionalism, and overall exceptional experience we had with every Meathead employee we interacted with. They moved us out of our old place and into our new home in 5.5 hours flat and made a potentially stressful experience downright pleasant. I cant recommend Meathead Movers highly enough and wont use another moving company again. They took great care with our belongings, everything was packed, loaded, and moved as if it was their own.
The three young men who moved me were politeAnd tried. There was no damage done to my things.Went overtime moving a one bedroom home to my new home 1 and 1/2 miles apart. I am 79 yrs of age. My lifting capacity has diminished yet there wereHeavier boxes left in new garage. Bill started out $800 and I wound up paying $1400. It took almost an hour to put together a standard bed frame.I had moved all the small boxes myself to save on moving cost. I knew from the beginning they would not be done on schedule. Had a problem with refrigerator that wouldn’t fit thru the door. Not theirFault but way to much time lost there trying to decide what to do.I think this crew was new and hadn’t had satisfactoryTraining. To put it mildly I would NOT recommend this company nor would I use them again. I feel like I was robbed.
I have used Meathead Movers twice now; once in 2010, and again in 2018. Just as with my first move eight years ago, I was pleased with the entire process. Meathead Movers helped me to have an effortless, stress-free move! They are fast, thorough, and courteous. The customer service representatives were very communicative and straight-forward, and the two movers were efficient and careful with my belongings. Moving is never a fun experience, but Meathead Movers helped make it less of a hassle. I would definitely recommend their service.
Meathead Movers are awesome! ALL the guys were so good at moving our stuff. They wrapped EVERYTHING with care and it all arrived in great shape. They were careful with the items and put everything right where we wanted them to go. The team leader was very attentive to my questions and concerns, and was a joy to work with! I would hire them again in a heartbeat!
Meathead Movers were great! They had some issues with someone calling in sick so they had to do some juggling with another crew that was moving someone else nearby. As soon as they finished with them, the crew came over, loading the things up and got them delivered as requested. They worked hard, but still had smiles on their faces.
I used Meathead Movers to move into my new house. From start they were very responsive and asked the right questions. The final cost was what they quoted me. They made the moving process as easy as it could be given its a move. They showed up on time and communicated everything with me so there were no surprises.Sine then Ive recommended them to multiple friends who have had the same experience. Id definitely use them again if I ever need to move.
Just used Meathead Movers for the 1st time but it wont be the last! Trevor, Gus and Quentin were personable and professional. You can tell they have been well-trained, not only in moving items, in providing great customer service. Took great care in moving our items. The whole experience, from getting a quote to the move itself, was handled efficiently. Thanks, Meathead Movers!
I was looking for a moving company to move me to the next county. The company sent 2 trucks. I had a 3BR house totally packed and boxes labeled. They walked thru the house with me and began wrapping furniture. They loaded everything into the trucks in roughly 2 hours. They took lunch and met me at the new house. They unloaded the trucks in about 2.5 hours placing boxes in rooms identified on the boxes. Theyre read no damage to floors nor furniture. They put boxers where I asked them to. If they needed to move something, they did so with a smile. Not one thing was broken in the process. All of the movers were young college students. Some were more chatty than others but, all- in- all it was a good experience. I couldnt have done it alone. Yes, I would recommend them to family and friends! Thanks Meathead Movers!
Worst moving service ever! Also the review from Tyler Smith is fake, he works in sales at Meathead. $70 per hour per worker is the most taxed rate in the business. Save your money and hire some professional movers, not these kids.Edit: I was not terminated, I put in my 2 weeks and stopped showing up on my last day. I now deliver furniture for another company and am treated MUCH better than I was at Meathead Movers. Dont let their sales people fool you, there are better moving companies that will charge HALF of what these guys charge. How can a consumer trust this company if they cannot even be honest about the status of their employees. Be Smart, educate yourself, and do not buy into Meathead Movers expensive gimmicks. (Note: The fake reviews are the ones that include the mover’s names... they were compensated for the review which results in falsified reports).
We had the best experience with the unloading services that Taylor W. and Richard K. provided. They were professional, fast, and handled our belongings with care. We will definitely use Meathead Movers when we move into our house this October, and hope that we can have the same individuals helping us next time too!
Edited previous review! While the movers on the day of my parents move did a great job (so we thought) it wasn’t until 2 days later that we realized they had damaged/broke my fathers 85” television.I highly DO NOT recommend this moving company to anyone looking for a move!!! If I could rate it in the negative stars I would!Dealing with corporate (Allison) is a total joke! They claim we received a copy of the contract before the day of the move to read and review it. We did not receive one. The day of the move the lead guy to help with the move gave my parents the contract just telling them where to sign and initial, giving them no time to read it. They felt rushed and pressured to just sign so the guys could get started. One of the parts was a claim on damaged items, something like 20 cents per pound. When we realized that the television had gotten broken during the move we immediately contacted Corporate and after consideration their offer was $100 reimbursement. What a total joke!!!Please please please if you do not want your belongings damaged or if you don’t care about reimbursement on your items, don’t use Meathead Movers!
I had the need for a quick an easy move of an already stored 10X10 room of wood furniture. I Goggled local mover and quickly got a moving request form to fill in. I then received information from 7 local movers. Prices were similar; It should cost about $500. I sent emails to all 7 movers requesting proof of a CA moving license and workman’s comp insurance. To make a long and tedious story short, NONE of these movers could provide proof of insurance.I started my search all over again. When I found Meathead Movers (not my first choice of what to name moving company) I was immediately impressed with their listing of their CA mover’s license and accessibility to their worker’s comp insurance on their Web page. All the people I spoke with; answered all my questions and sounded like a legitimate company.Yes, their stated quote was more expensive than the unlicensed, non-responsive companies I had previously contacted and rejected. But I was willing to pay for value, professionalism and trust. Peace of mind is worth is worth a hundred dollars more.I was emailed in advance of the movers arrival, at the appointed time. The two movers were clean, polite, spoke English and hustled the entire time. The Meathead Movers did a fantastic job very quickly. So quickly, my estimated cost of moving was reduced by $250+.Looking back, I received a written quote, multiple pre-move contacts to confirm all the pre-move information and after move contacts to make sure everything went well.I am an extremely satisfied customer who would use them again, if needed. THANK YOU Meathead Movers.
Taylor and Gus my Meathead movers were amazing! I had been stressing out about my upcoming move and found out about Meathead Movers on instagram. I took it as a sign! I’m so glad I gave the company a call. My princess packers were amazing and my movers just as great! Friendly guys and great service! Would definitely recommend them to all my family and friends!
Having had bad moving experiences in the past, Meathead movers was a refreshing change to my impression of moving companies. We were very impressed about how professional and streamlined the process was from the initial quoting to the day of moving. The estimator, Torrey, arrived punctually and provided us with a very accurate quote. The movers, Brett, Pedro, Andrew, and Justin were very courteous and took good care of our items, the house we moved out of, and the house we moved into. Before they started moving anything they made sure to cover door frames and floors where there was any potential for wall/floor damage. Best of all everything arrived safely at our new home.Moving is inherently a tedious task but Meathead Movers certainly made it much easier than we would have ever expected it to be.
EDIT - This review is being changed from a 2 star to a 1 star as I am convinced that Meathead Movers do not know how to handle customers credit card information. Back story - in order to pay, a Meathead Mover needs to write down your credit card information (which is understandable, but in this day in age, they probably should invest in mobile electronic credit card readers). The day after my credit card information was written down on a piece of paper by a Meathead Mover coordinator, I get a call from Meathead Movers asking for the expiration date of my credit card again as what was written on the paper was incorrect (side note, my bank notified me that the first time Meathead Movers tried to run my card it was declined because they did not have the correct expiration date, but the payment went through when they entered the correct expiration date that was given to them over the phone). It is very suspicious and way too coincidental that this morning my bank flags and declines a fraudulent charge made online - the reason that this charge was flagged and declined was because the expiration date the person entered was incorrect. I am convinced that the piece of paper that had my credit card information written on it was mishandled by Meathead Movers; I believe someone either threw it away, or one of their employees is untrustworthy. I called Meathead Movers this morning to figure out what their processes are for handling customers credit card information, and I am currently waiting to hear back. Needless to say, I am very unhappy and have to close said credit card as someone out there has my personal credit card information.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The movers showed up to our 9am appointment an hour and forty-five minutes late. My fiance had to get in touch with corporate in order for them to communicate that their team captain had not shown up that morning, and they were scrambling to find someone else. We live in a 1 bedroom apartment and were only moving from Santa Ana to Laguna Niguel (30 min drive); we gave the sales guy an inventory of everything we had in the apartment, and we were told that the move should not take longer than 3 hours. However, the movers did not end until 4pm. If our friends had not started helping the movers with moving boxes, it would have taken even longer.Additionally, even after the movers finished, we had to wait for Justin (their supervisor) to show up because the coordinator that was onsite for the move I guess couldnt handle the paper work; waiting for Justin took another 45 minutes. When we expressed our frustration to Justin, he told us that his team did not exceed the 8 hour maximum time and thus they saved us a lot of money. ARE YOU KIDDING? Who on earth would think that a 1 bedroom apartment would take 8 hours?! How long would an entire house take them?! Justin ended up giving us a 45 minute discount which was appreciated, but in my opinion, we should have been given a way bigger discount for all the waiting that we had to do.The only reason I am giving them a 2 star is because the movers that did show up got everything to our apartment in one-piece. I would not recommend this moving service as they are not reliable to show up on time and get the work done in a reasonable amount of time.
What an impressive experience. Chris Sander and Noah Avelino totally exceeded our expectations, doing double what we imagined they could do in a two-hour window. They were early, professional, brought extra materials just in case, cleaned up without us even asking... and just blew me away with their service. A+++ ! Highly recommend these guys.
Wonderful customer service experience leading up to the move. Jenny was so patient and responsive to our many questions and changes in the weeks prior as our needs changed. On the day of, Jesse and Cody had great team work with each other and with us as we looked to them for expertise in how best to organize loading and unloading. Worth every penny to have experienced hands available, and for the equipment to wrap and protect our things.
I used Meathead Movers about two years ago and had a positive experience. I called them a few weeks ago to get an estimate for a new move, and it came back exceptionally high (around $840 for a one-bedroom move where we were leaving most of the furniture behind). They sent me an estimate via email, but I did not sign or return it as I chose to go with a different company. The morning of my move, I got a call from a mover team, confirming that they would be arriving in a few hours, despite having never confirmed a reservation or signed for anything. I told them that I didnt order movers from them and that they had made a mistake. Later that day, I discovered that they had charged my card anyway. I contacted the sales representative, and she informed me that, per their cancellation policy, they would still charge me the minimum estimate, despite the fact that I had never set a reservation or signed any paperwork. I asked them to reverse the charge, and she said they would review the recording of my call with her manager, but I havent heard back from her since. I am now disputing the charge with my credit card company.Very disappointing experience overall. Would not recommend.
This is my second time using Meathead Movers and I would use them again and again and again! Taylor and Gustavo were fantastic! They hustled and got me out of my old office and into my new one in no time. And, they were happy to move things again when I changed my mind about locating furniture in the new office. My only regret is that I didnt write a 5 star review the first time I used Meathead Movers. I highly recommend them and will use them every time I move. Thanks!!!
Meathead Movers made a cross country move easy as cake! Taylor, Quentin, DayShawn and Patrick were wonderful and incredibly helpful throughout the whole process. They did everything quickly and carefully, and everything was left in perfect condition. Will definitely use them again next time I move!
This is the best moving company Ive ever dealt with. The 2 gentlemen they sent out to unpack our truck from a cross country move were so polite, professional and they really worked their butts off! The whole company had great constant communication with us before, during and after our move. I completely and HIGHLY recommend them!
They have the best trucks! clean well put together and had everything I needed free of charge. Best part is anytime I had a question i wouldnt have to wait on hold for hours on end. they are quick, friendly and efficient and i would not hesitate to recommend them or use them again.Movers are the best I have ever had or even seen!
The move from hell. I wrote a better written review that got wiped so I’m sorry for this rushed one.The movers sent were inexperienced. Use anyone else you can find. We hired someone else a week later and they cost a third of the price with no issues for three men instead of two. I would have been better off with homedepot hired hands for a hundred a day. You hire professionals so you can have the move done for you stress free, no hassle, with no damage. We got the total opposite. They didn’t run like the guy on the phone told us and they didn’t even jog like it says online. Their planning was poor and they wasted time on things that didn’t need to be done. The move should have taken 5 hours tops and it double that. To start they were a half hour late. One said that the other was a “mentor in training” meaning we didn’t have an actual “mentor” which I assume is an experienced meathead mover. We caught them sitting around when there were things they could have been moving. We had to essentially manage them at times when we were told they would always be running and we’re experienced professionals. They never jogged/ran once. Just the opposite. They were nice guys but as movers they weren’t good. They didn’t take care of with furniture. I found a bunch of little pieces of things on the floor and many times were scratched or broken. The “mentor in training” tripped and dropped a dresser on his leg. My brother in law lifted it off of his leg for him. The leg of the dresser had snapped off from the drop. To show illustrate theit lack of experience they didn’t place reflective triangles on the street to warn on coming traffic of the wide truck, and a uhaul hit it truck with its side view mirror. I went after the uhaul and got the license plate for them. When I got back the guys had placed reflective triangles out after talking to their managers. They had to send a new guy because the first guy got injured. The new guy we caught sitting on a table while he waited for the other guy to help him. My girlfriend told him there was a piece of sofa by the elevator upstairs he could bring down and he said he forgot about that and went to get it. They spent 45 mins taking apart a table that didn’t need to be and then we caught them doing that and they put it back together and moved it whole. One guy didn’t have the tool he needed to disassemble a crib and didn’t tell me until I came in the room and found him standing there staring at the crib. I got the Alan wrench and disassembled it myself so he could do other stuff. They didn’t plan it well and wasted time when we were being charged $200+ an hours.
Read all of the other bad reviews and AVOID MEATHEAD MOVERS AT ALL COSTS. Read the Yelp reviews as well. All of the bad reviews are the same. They have a problem. They ARE NOT professional movers, yet they charge a VERY expensive professional price. Their prices are not competitive, especially for the level of service they provide. The movers they sent made no effort to treat our furniture, belongings, or home with any amount of care. The movers damaged furniture, lost personal belongings, scraped floors, and scuffed walls. They falsely advertise that their movers jog and hustle--in my experience, their movers stand around being confused about how to do the job while charging you by the hour. They sent six movers with ONE DOLLY to move a 3 bedroom condo and somehow turned a 6 hour job in to a 10 hour job (12-13 hours if you include breaks). The best part? attempted to make things right by offering me $500 off of a $5600 bill (yes, you read that amount correctly) when they overcharged me in the first place! I now have to spend weeks of my own time attempting to file a claim for damages while searching for construction companies to fix my floors and walls and broken furniture. Fun!
I hired Meathead Movers last minute to move my grandmother from her 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home that she had lived in for 15 years, to a couple storage units 30 miles away! The Princesses Packers who come out to pack us the day before the movers came out where so sweet, and friendly. They provided the perfect gentle touch with great efficiency! I was able to see that they went through a great training process! When the movers came out they were so patient with my grandma as she was nervous about all of her furniture, so she didnt take her eye off of them for the first 40 minutes, but she quickly got comfortable, and trusted the guys after seeing the 5 STAR JOB they were preforming! From the first phone call I made, to the last conversation I had with the Meatheads, and Mentor everything was seamless and totally worth every penny I spent. THANK YOU MEATHEAD MOVERS !!!
I have used Meathead Movers 2 times in OC once for a local move and another for a long distance move. I have never felt more taken care of from start to finish! The customer service setting up the move is top notch and the movers...oh the movers, they are so fast! tThey padded all my items from top to bottom they RAN when not carrying my items back and forth! I will and have always recommended Meathead to all my friends and family! There is not another moving company in the state that I would ever consider referring. Meathead Movers rocks!
I was very impressed with the professionalism and friendliness of Meathead Movers. Everything was what you should expect out of a moving company in 2018. Clean cut movers, vehicles in good working order, worked quickly but safely, and utilizing technology to imptimp the process. You should definitely call Meathead Movers for your next move.
5.0 star rating 9/8/2017From beginning to end, the service and experience with Meathead Movers was incredible. Over the phone communications were articulate, clearly explained, and personable. Email communications were professional and detailed. My movers RJ and Davis arrived early, and could not have been more professional, polite, and pleasant on all levels. They were able to get all the moving done within my allotted timeframe- and were beyond gracious. They ACTUALLY jogged back to the truck when they werent carrying things (as advertised... but SERIOUSLY they do that!). They were very business-like and I was super confident and trusting of their abilities, and didnt worry at all about the care in which my items were handled. This included a 300 year old wooden chest, that they were alerted of ahead of time and made sure to recognize before they started packing everything up. I would hire those two guys for any job, and they were a great representation of a well-run business. I cant wait for the next opportunity to recommend Meathead Movers! Everyone here gets an A++ from me. These student athletes knocked it out of the park! (I believe its RJ that plays baseball?) Whatever these young men end up doing for careers after college, theyll be sure to succeed with these amazing attitudes and work ethic!
The loaders took much longer than the estimate. I don’t know if it was the loaders or the estimator. They could not fit everything in the truck. I had them remove some items and told them how to load the truck and we got it all in. Perhaps a little more training. Many of my furniture items were scratched or chipped. The unloaders were terrific and did a great job. Everyone was courteous friendly and a pleasure to be around.
My review is divided between the workers and the problems with corporate scheduling. I was supposed to have 2 trucks and a full crew at 10am. One truck showed at 10am and the crew showed up around 10:45. The second truck showed at 3pm. Because of that, the loading of the trucks wasnt done until 6pm. The drivers got such a late start on the road that they only got halfway that night and had to drive to the destination the next morning. When they arrived, the company provided no crew at all to help the two drivers. Because of that, by the time they unloaded into the storage unit and then into the new house it was 9pm. So as far as the scheduling and providing crews to unload, I would give a one star review. However, all of the crew and drivers who worked the job had a good attitude and worked very hard. The house we moved from was 3 stories and had a garage down below so it was a constant day of running up and down stairs. So good job by Naeem, Gilio, Gus, Evan and Joel. The 2 guys who worked the loading, drove late at night, early in the next morning and worked like dogs all day long until 9pm were Trevor and Parker.
Honestly I dont have anything but positive to say about Meathead Movers. They arrived a few minutes early, laid down protective coverings, ran everywhere, and unloaded everything very carefully. No damage was done to any of my property, and they helped me assemble my beds. Rick, John, and Fernando - I thank you!
Shoutout to Jaime L, Alex W, and RJ!!! These guys are everything and more! Omg I didn’t have to worry about anything and they were super friendly to top it off! They managed to pack my one bedroom apartment plus the garage all in ONE hour! They loaded everything gently and made sure to wrap my valuables first. We chit chatted the whole time and they kept my 8yo son completely entertained!I can’t wait to recommend them to everyone I know! It was an effortless move thanks to these guys. They even helped take the trash out at the end! I’m a very very happy customer ☺️
We used meathead for both sides of our move and we moved with two different crews from meathead. The two guys we used in southern California started well but eventually slowed down and this forces us to go way over the time I was quoted and in return cost me a lot more money. I would really recommend telling them if you use them to work quickly unless money isnt an issue for you. Now the two guys on the other end we uses came from San Luis Obispo and did a way faster job, unloaded the truck in a fraction of the time the other guys loaded it and put everything together for us and still had time to spare. So the SLO crew was solid the SoCal crew needed help and cost me a lot more $
My Meathead Movers were Brandon and Ramiro..These young men were top notch! On time and professional.. Worked hard and were professional.. Meathead Movers offers a great service and employees seem very happy working within the structure..Congratulations to the owners and and staff..With the experience I had I will be more then happy to recommend their services!!
Trevor R. and Richard L. helped me with the move they were extremely efficient they got the paperwork done fast and they really know how to stack some boxes. I appreciate it that they hustle in between moving the boxes and having creative solutions to get things done in a Time window. Positive attitudes thanks would definitely use again perfect!
Bad management and they break labor laws. After all the favors I have done for them they let me go like that. I would not use or recommend this moving company. I would also not recommend people working for this company. Also management and sales representatives do most of the comments to make this company look good. I once was at home after a job and I got called in which I did not get paid for the travel time when I was going to the other place. They fire and make workers quit so fast and then they wonder why they don’t have many workers. And some sales representatives don’t even mark down the exact items and they wonder why we take long to do our job. This company is bad and I will not use them
We paid a fortune to have MeatHead Movers move our furniture. We were assured they would take the utmost care and we paid for their insurance just to ensure our valuables were taken care of.My first (though, not chief) complaint is they took their time doing everything; despite the fact there were 7-10 strong, young men and they were being paid by the hour.Next, though they took their time ... they were clumsy: a scratch here, a squash there and they didnt listen to instructions. The CHIEF, complaint and one everyone should pay close attention to prior to consideration of hiring them ... they completely and I mean utterly smashed/ruined a few large key pieces of furniture by simple negligence. We filed a claim and it took MHMs months to even simply address it and when it was all said and done they INSISTED on only repairing not replacing (though the pieces are CLEARLY beyond repair!!) and absolutely REFUSED to get more than one quote. The quote was from THEIR source and it was low. One piece, in particular, was a BRAND NEW Pottery Barn piece and they gave us less than 1/2 the replacement cost and it most definitely is NOT repairable!! Rather than fight them for months and months and months we caved. Which is surely what I am sure they count on. However, I will absolutely continue to report my review as stated here and as often and as in many places as possible.
My Meatheads were Christian, Joe, and Jimmy. Amazing service! There is no way we could have made our move alone. They were very professional, did not break or dent a thing, and they even kept an eye on the clock for us, so we didnt have to pay more than we were quoted. And, they did it with the threat of rain in the forecast. I intend to use them again if we move sometime in the future, and I will certainly recommend them to friends and family. Thanks, guys!!!
Make sure not to give out your credit card info to these people. If you do, and you have to cancel for any reason, youll be slammed for hundreds of dollars in cancellation fees that they just dont happen to mention while giving you the happy talk estimate. By the way, its a scam for making more money when they sell you on having more movers on the job to make it go faster and smoother. The real reason is that you have to pay the double drive time charges for the extra men....thereby driving up the cost of the move exponentially. More men than 3 or 4 equals more inefficiency on most local household moves. They will NEVER tell you that, though! Very deceptive company!
I have used Meathead twice before and was very happy. This move was really disappointing - slow, rude and careless movers who damaged furniture, left garbage in my courtyard and on my front lawn, they damaged walls, floors and shutters. This was in July - Im still trying to get resolution for a claim I made with them for all of the damages. I definitely will never use them again.
They sound like an amazing company but there algorithm said they needed one box truck when I explained that wasnt correct. They want to know literally everything that you have. unless youve packed and know every single thing they will pick up dont call for a quote. They are willing to work with you to get cost down. Wonderful customer service.
So Taylor and Julian showed up a little late. But taken into consideration these guys came from Santa Ana to the usc area. It worked out because I was just finishing up packing as they arrived. Once there. These guys handled business. They went up and down stairs with a big fridge with a “ let’s do this!” attitude. They were careful as they were efficient. The fridge I hadn’t moved was professionally wrapped and not so much as extra dust was found from the move. Got these guys numbers just Incase I ever move again. Definitely recommend.
I tried to use Meathead Movers to unload a moving pod. After contacting them and setting a time, they cancelled at the last minute and didnt find replacements until four hours after their scheduled time of arrival. I had to find another moving service last minute to make sure I was unpacked before my parking permit for the pod expired.
I called to get an estimate for a quick move I have coming up. Spent 45 minutes on the phone giving all of my info including to and from addresses AND every item I need moved. She stated all the reps were busy and someone would call me back in a few minutes with an estimate. The next day I received a call back, however I was unable to pick up the phone at that time. I phoned back, but no one, again, was available. It’s been 5 days of me trying to reach a rep who could actually give me pricing. I have been able to speak to someone, but that person is never the individual who can actually give me a quote. I was ready willing and able to book them to help me move next week, but they don’t seem to want my business. SMH! Very frustrating. 👎🏻
Charges more if youre on the 3 or 4th floor (as opposed to 2nd floor) even though accessible by elevator, because of the time it takes for elevator to arrive...LOL! Makes no sense...~unreasonably high charges~ quote for moving items from a 15 x 10 ft space to be moved locally (contents: 2 large appliances, 2 dressers, 1 medium sized bookcase, 2 rockers that all can easily fit in a 5 x 10 ft space)...wanted OVER $560 for 3 hours!!! Pleeeeaaasseee! I guess they think Im the Meathead Mover if they think Id be willing to pay THAT much! Plus I couldnt care less if my movers are college athletes or guy off the street...as long as I get moved!
FYI- I have not used this service personally but just read quite a list of positive reviews! I read an article that discussed this companies dedication to helping battered women move for free and I wanted to praise them for this type of charitable work! So few companies as a whole adopt the mentality of Doing what is right and I find it exceptionally commendable and hope this companys success will grow and they will maintain this fantastic ideal!!!
Love meathead movers, student athlete movers , young , strong, treated my stuff like it was theirs, l had lots very heavy things going upstairs ,they had no problems, some other companies didnt even want to do the work , im very happy I went with Meathead Movers dont let the name fool you 👍

2022-04-13Victor, Jose, Christian, (I sure hope I got the names right), did a great job of unloading our rented truck in speedy time. They moved fast, so had time to unload our trailer as well. No bumps, bangs, or breakages. Thank you guys, we could not have done this without you! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

2022-03-09I used Meathead Movers back in 2014 with only positive things to say. I was moving again in Feb 2022 and even better level of service. From initial conversations up until moving day, excellent communication. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

2022-02-25Meathead Movers in Santa Ana did a great job. The team of Richard Knop, Marco Montane, and Antione Newman were very professional, hard-working and efficient. I highly recommend this company and this team for your moving needs!

2021-08-30I had heard of Meathead movers through a friend of mine that hired them to move her house a few years back, and was highly impressed with their professionalism and how well they knew how to load, pack, offload all while jogging back from their truck. I recently moved at the beginning of August and hired Meathead movers. I was so glad I did. These kids not only were so very personal, but so very knowledgeable. The 3 guys that moved us out not only packed and padded and protected our furniture, they did at lightning speed. I have already recommend Meathead movers to all my crew at work. I hope this review will help you make the best decision on professional movers. They will get my business should I decide to move again. Thank you Taylor and young men that moved my family to our new home.

2021-06-24Raine M and Kevin P were fantastic! Showed up early, assessed what needed to be packed from each room, worked quickly carefully and efficiently, wrapped my furniture and electronics with plastic wrap and moving blankets, and did in fact jog between my apartment and their truck. They didnt waste time driving and took the most efficient route between my apartment and storage unit. They packed all of my belongings expertly and securely and made sure the storage unit door would close properly before they finished. Paige, the customer service rep I worked with to book my move, was phenomenal as well. My quote was accurate and I had no issues with paying for the move. I would absolutely recommend Meathead Movers, and I would use them again!

2022-04-25These movers dont even know where they operate. They have pages specifically set up to do loves in areas where they dont actually do moving. Complete waste of time. Find more honest movers.

2021-07-15The guys where great. Moved quickly and handled all of my stuff with care. They even brought any extra guy and sill only charged me for three guys. When I move again I am for sure have them pack move and unpack, they are great stop looking around and just book the meathead movers before they don’t have your move date available.

2022-01-23Overall, Meathead movers did a lousy job moving us from Menifee to Anaheim. The actual moving crew did a poor job. They got glue on the furniture from the tape they used to hold the blankets they used to protect the furniture. They scratched an expensive bedroom set, scratched our dinning room table and chairs. The biggest problem is the people they sent to pack some items we didn’t have time to pack. We told them to use our boxes but they ignored us and used Meathead boxes and charged us extra. They broke a very valuable Christian statue among several other things.

2021-03-16I hired Meathead Movers to perform a local move. Planning the move on the phone with Davonte was a great experience; I had to place a half-dozen calls to Meathead because I didnt know all the details of my move and they were very patient and friendly on the phone. On moving day I met with Alex and Kevin who were both very professional and did indeed jog when they werent carrying items. My items were moved on schedule (including a desk that needed their disassembly to move and reassembly at the destination) with no discernible damage to the items or floors in either location. Would recommend.
