Be aware… CDC vaccination card and ID needed at the door. I wasn’t told this on phone call I made previously. Everything was ok… we didn’t eat there. Bowling pins different as far as the setting up of the machinery ea play. But it was fun. Good social distancing. Not a lot of lanes as normal places are
Absolutely awful service. We put our name down on the waitlist and waited for 2 hours, once we checked with them again the lady at the front desk said someone removed our name from the waitlist. She added us back and said we’ll have to wait 50 more minutes for a lane because she gave our spot to other people instead. Really rude and unprofessional.
Great drinks, friendly workers. Fun atmosphere. 10/10 the staff working the lanes were super professional and very nice and courteous. You can tell they enjoyed their jobs (and if they didnt they had a great poker face) I felt welcomed and comfortable. Would definitely go again. Great place!
I personally am not a fan of bowling, but if I was this is where I would always go.Its a great spot for groups to go. They have good drinks and great food. There are nice leather couches for everyone to sit together while bowling. They even have a few arcade games for those not interested in bowling.I can honestly say that I never knew bowling alleys could be so nice and fancy.
Was there as a part of a small reserved event. The catering style food was actually pretty good, but the wait service we received was just overall not great, although more in a I think it totally sucks to work for this company kind of way, rather than a they just werent doing their job kind of way. Also the bowling experience is very compromised by the short distance between the seating area and the beginning of the lane. Just not enough room. Overall the experience was much more of an expensive novelty than anything else. Of course all of that being said, we still had a great time, so you might also.
Went there for a private party. The building is relatively new, and the restaurant & alley has an upscale feel to it. They have curtains to divide the lanes into sections for different parties. The lanes seemed a bit short, and I had trouble finding a ball that was light enough with big enough finger holes. The food was good - I enjoyed nicely salty chicken tenders, with a good crunchy, fried texture, as well as a few different kinds of sushi. The staff was very attentive, refilling the food often and coming by to collect new drink orders.
The atmosphere is great. However, things are so over priced that you forget about the atmosphere. The food was decent and the music was better then I expected. However we were 2 rolls from the end of a game and they shut it off. There are tons of hidden fees and you aren’t made aware of them until you get there...
Had a wonderful time for my friends birthday. Fun interior design with high, lofty ceilings featuring an open bar, bowling lanes with dining tables, and a pool table and arcade area. Was a great away to celebrate a birthday and catch up with friends. The snack menu was surprisingly delicious. Highly recommended.
Good place to drink after a Giants game. Busy with baseball fans. But an absolute joke of a place to bowl. The “system” faults every three frames and you have to talk to the attendants every time. They’re very nice but can’t do anything to correct the mishaps. And the place seems to be too cheap to just offer you a free game to make up for the brutal bowling..
I dont know why more people dont go here for happy hour! The bar space is huge and there are huge windows so you get plenty of sunlight when there is some. They do have happy hour which is always great. Ive only been the bowling alley once when it first opened but now it seems the crowds have died down so it shouldnt be hard to reserve a lane!
This is NOT bowling. If you want to get drunk and toss bowling balls down a lane then its decent but these are not real bowling pins and they react strangely so if you really like to bowl you will hate the lanes. The drinks are decent, the food is decent. Nothing special or spectacular.
Went into the restaurant when it opened while on vacation. My fiancé and i were the only ones at the bar. We ordered water and about 15 minutes passed. The bartender was down the bar so I got up and asked if we could order food. He made it seem like we were a huge inconvenience. The food was great, not one time did the bartender ask how the food was or if our water needed a refill(they sat empty for about 40 minutes.) when he saw our food was finished and plates were stacked he brought the bill, no words were said. Definitely not a good experience and won’t be coming back
Food: 2Decor: 3Service: 3Came here with colleagues for a night of bowling and hanging out. I didnt bowl, but I had a bite of almost everything we ordered.1. Sushi assortment~Disappointing. Costco sushi is better.2. Fries~Decent. Thick-cut and crispy.3. Sliders~Mediocre. More pickled onion or additional veg could have balanced it out better.4. Chicken kebabs~Decent. The yogurt sauce accompanying the chicken was pretty good.Service was okay. It was a bit slow at the beginning since we were waiting on food after our initial order, but the staff eventually caught up.
This place is very fancy. A bar and bowling club is combined. So you can drink and eat something in here. But the price is little expensive. I mean bowling. Monday to Saturday, it is 7 dollars per hour per person, 45 dollars per hour as i remember. And the rental shoes are 5 dollars. So it is little expensive
Went bowling here with some friends on Saturday night. It was dark and the music was loud but that is typical of bowling alleys. The scoring was all automated and there was a variety of balls to choose from. We had a great time bowling. Wed just had dinner so didnt sample from the menu but there were some nachos that were pretty tempting!
For me, its a bit overpriced for bowling, so Ive only bowled once here. I do, however, come here quite a bit for food since its one of the few food places in the area open past 10pm (and I work late a lot).Food: Everything is surprisingly delicious, considering its a bowling alley (super fancy one, though). The cheeseburger sliders are amazing as they are perfectly cooked all the time and served on little Hawaiian buns. The BBQ ribs appetizer is also a great choice. Also, if you come during happy hour, they serve sweet potato fries that pretty good (dont worry, Ive put in a request for them to add it to their regular menu).Service: The service is hit or miss. The staff is generally pretty friendly. Sometimes I get a lot of attention and the food comes out quickly. Sometimes I get ignored for a while before I get served and/or the food takes a long time to come out. Service doesnt seem to correlate to where I sit or how busy they are, so...like I said, its hit or miss...just depends on whos working, I guess.Atmosphere: Its a bowling alley in the back, but where you eat, its a fancy sports bar-ish feel. They have a full bar with a pretty extensive list of wines/cocktails/beers (I mean, for a bowling alley). They have lots of TVs showing different games at all angles and you can ask the staff to change to whatever game you want. I dont think it gets too overly crowded on big game days either, so could be a milder alternative to, say, Petes Tavern, if it gets to crazy/crowded there.Note: Twice Ive tried to eat here but they were closed for a private event. So if youre traveling a ways to specifically eat/bowl here, may be worth calling ahead to double check that theyre open.
Its overpriced and the lanes arent great, so I dont recommend this for anyone who is serious about bowling. That being said, the food is passable and you can drink copiously while you bowl, and its in a great location relative to other nightlife by the stadium. Their bar area is also beautiful and excellent, with plenty of TVs to watch sports on. You could do a lot worse in SOMA on a Saturday night.
The prices is pricey for garbage pool tables. Also no one came and ask me if I wanted to drink or eat something. Im a big tipper too but, oh well there lost. At the the guy at the counter was nice. Over all not recommend this place. Better off going to a legit pool hall like family billiards.
This is not a common place for bowlers or drinkers to come, but more of a place you come to once in a while to spend money. This place is like the vegas of bowling alleys. Super nice bar and bowling areas, complete with private lanes and bars. This place is HUGE. Most of the girls they hire there are hot. so this place is definitely geared toward the night life. The convenience of drinking and bowling is awesome if youre willing to pay for it.I came with a party of four and it cost me $60/hour, shoes included. Even tho the prices are outrages - i had fun. In vegas you pay the price regardless of how nice or crappy a place is. It is what it is. I wouldnt mind coming back here on my birthday with my friends that have careers and have them pay for a round of drunk bowling.
This isnt the old tattered bowling alley you remember as a kid. Thankfully this is a modern contemporary spin on the old 10 pin classic. Ended up here on a weeknight as part of a birthday party group. This place is cool, hip and well thought out, with local artists featured at every turn. Real (good and not crazy overpriced) food, full service waitstaff, lounge areas, spiffy décor, bars, a variety of non bowling games, TV screens every where..... and 12 lanes of the dudes finest makes for a great party place.
Good luck getting a lane. My friends and I have gone several times to find the lanes full, stayed for dinner, and then been informed of at least an additional hours wait to bowl. Ive tried to call ahead, and been informed they wont take reservations. The food is varied in the sense that theres something everyone will like, but no-one will love.Without the false promise of bowling, there are far better choices in the area for dinner and drinks.
My friends and I come here to watch major sporting events, and were usually able to get a table for us. Service is inconsistent, depends on who you get as a server, there are some who are exceptional but 1 bad experience could ruin it for the rest. The food is ok. Its a good venue for groups or office parties.
Come here if your work is paying for it. Great place to throw a ball down a lane and get almost unlimited drinks! The food is great and I would highly recommend it for the food alone! The bowling was ok but... They have strings on the pins? No idea why they do that vs the tradition way but it ends up casing tangles sometimes. Not a big deal but the string does change the game by hitting other pins and such making it not very accurate and more luck. Wait, is that why they call it Lucky Strike?
Expensive drinks, and we were thinking it would be more bar style with the mini bowl concept. It was fun and it sucks that their sushi bar closed long before or ice even melted in our drinks. Still a fun concept for the person who enjoys some sort of entertainment instead of just the bar scene.
The pins are connected to the machine and it has a full bar and restaurant. They had poutine on the menu and it was great! My company had a meetup here and I was losing to an inside sales guy because he was drinking a magical beer that made him bowl better. My boss had two beers so he won. I had only one so I placed second. Bowling is fun. You cant keep the shoes though :(
Pretty disappointed in this place. Was part of a bowling league, Better Off Bowling, and had I think six matches here over the course of seven or eight weeks. Usually was a pretty good experience, though as part of the league (or just regular customers?) theyre supposed to wait on you for food and beverage, and I often couldnt find our wait staff person, and every time I went down to the bar to order food, they told me that they would have them come to my lane to take my order, but each time except once, after waiting for like ten minutes I had to go back down and order from the bar cuz no one was coming. The cherry on top though was our last experience. There was a private event happening that took up the front half: no problem. Game started a couple minutes late: no problem. Once again had to go down to the bar to order: also not a huge deal, but am then away from my team for a little more than five minutes/two of my turns, also not a big deal cuz I still get to make up for them. However, they turned off our game ten minutes early (were always given 90 minutes), so someone goes down to tell them we still had ten minutes left, and we were told something that made it clear communication among employees just wasnt being handled well on this day. And then again, before the ten minutes was up, the turn off our lane. And the most annoying part is that none of this should be a big deal, its just some social bowling league, but like would anyone claim this to be a positive experience? If we hadnt paid 75, 80 dollars or whatever for the league, things would be different. But we did. I wish this had happened on our first or second experience so that the lasting impression wasnt what it was.Wont be returning, if any time soon.
Theres only one problem with this Lucky Strike, and its a major one. The bowling pins are attached to strings that are used to reset the pins. They dont scatter and behave like normal bowling pins. This system removes all of the satisfaction from a good hit.The alley says its for noise reasons, but its just not fun, nor would I even call it bowling. The rest of Lucky Strike is decent, but the pins are a good enough reason to not return.
Great place, awesome atmosphere. Good appetizers. Service is horrible. Absolutely atrocious. Rude response to drink request when we have open bar for two hours. Should be accomidating, instead I was made to feel like I was in the wrong only for asking for a drink. Only 4 rounds in two hours. Needs to improve if you want my business again.
Everyone in this area waited forever for this place to open. It used to be a borders book store. There are only 2-4 bowling lanes. You bowl in the dark so its not a place for serious bowlers. Its a bar first before anything else. The food is kindve pricey. The sliders and fries (get all the dipping sauces) are surprisingly good! Its busy during game day.
Our event was held here for a surprise venue. Wow this place was so much fun a sports bar with a bowling alley, pool tables, all kinds of free machines to play. Open bar and all kinds of food, this is an excellent venue for a wind down event to relax and have a GREAT TIME!
Man, this place looks awesome. Came in here to hang out with some friends for a Birthday Party. Ill just say that Im going to host my Bday party here now.If you have not seen that private bowling room, its out of this world ( though probably an arm and a leg to rent out)The beer selection was a bit disappointing, but one cannot be surprised at an establishment across the street from a BallPark...Overall, it broke my expectations for your usual grimy bowling ally. It is FAR beyond that, quite classy at that.
I came here for a birthday dinner and bowling. Lucky Strike is located in ultra hip South Beach district. It’s a chic modernized bowling alley that serves up traditional bowling food but in an upscale fusion way. We started off at the bar while our lane was getting ready. We ordered fondue (that was luke warm), nachos (delicious) and wings (also delicious). We ended up ordering more food at the bar when our lane was ready. The staff was very accommodating and moved the food to the bowling lane for us. It is a really fun place for adult get together. It’s just a cherry on top to see The Big Lebowski quotes all over the walls. Next time I will have to order a white Russian in the dude’s honor ☺
Biggest bowling rip-off around! Sure, the space is cool and there is lots to do while you wait (and trust me, youll have to wait because this place is always over crowded), but it is so overpriced that it hurts. whether youre getting drinks and snacks while youre waiting for your lanes or if youre there only to bowl, it is probably the most expensive bowling alley youll ever go to. Dont waste your time on a weekend. Huge waits and huge costs. I personally like the funky old lanes that youd find The Dude at, no need for fancy lights and outrageous costs.
Our group is sitting at the bar. Its moderately crowded. Its been 20 minutes. Nobody has served us or even acknowledged us. Its not the bartenders fault, they are severely understaffed for a Friday night. Poor management, please get your act together and pay another bartender for half decent service.
Its a decent pre-game spot before Giants game but its a terrible place to actually attempt to bowl. Overpriced drinks and the wait takes forever to get on a lane. once you do get on a lane, you quickly discover the pins are attached by cables. so youre not getting a true bowling experience. plus youre trying to cram in up to 10 bowlers on a lane so it will take forever to even get through one game. come here to socialize and drink and not to actually bowl.
Ive heard good things aboit tjis place, but dont know what happened today stop for a bite and to play a game with friends. But everything went down hill from the host to every employee we came across and the waitress was al a bad experience. The place wasnt busy and it took 15 minutes for 2 bears and a margarita. Food was ok. Nice place the building and the concept but other then that wont be coming back. Maybe some time in the future but doubt it.
Overpriced fancy urban bowling. They serve bar food and drinks. So, you can touch a filthy bowling bowl then eat finger food then touch the filthy bowling ball again. Expect to spend a lot of money. For bowling. I mean, bowling. Place is fun though and delivers exactly as advertised.
The place is a nice looking, but the service is not the best, the hostess are not smile people. the place was empty and we waited for 20 minutes for a waiter!!!! The bowling line was broken and they came 10 minutes later... understand if the place was busy, but it was empty. Sad...!
I am part of a Sunday bowling league here. The lanes are pretty terrible, but for socializing or for anyone who doesnt care about bowling, they suffice. They have a huge tv screen on the wall facing the lanes, Ive found this to be distracting when I bowl because the glare from the tv blocks out the arrows in the lanes, making it difficult to aim.We usually go to Polo Grounds across the street for a drink or two before the game, since the drinks at Lucky Strike arent cheap.Ive found the bar staff to be a little rude, but the wait staff to be v friendly. The food isnt too bad, if not also a little overpriced.
HORRIBLE SERVICE. the service at the bar was fine, but we got a waitress who was a complete idiot who thought it was ok to STEAL my phone and credit card when i had already paid for my drinks. Your establishment is a joke. i paid over $40 for for the worst jameson coke’s i’ve ever had. i will make a point to tell anyone who plans on coming here to seek another place to go. disgusting place with even worse service.
They discontinued the single best item on their menu, the chicken nachos! Ill now be forced to go next door to Taco Bell to fulfill my cravings. This place should be packed for UFC flights to NFL games but its not, its due to the lack of managements advertising and specials to draw the local crowds.
Went to company event here with a $4k tab. Great bowling spot for city hipsters. We had the two private lanes in the upper area in the green room. I recommend the party platters of corn dogs, california rolls and the chicken fingers. Moscow mules are bitter not sweet - so I asked for no lime and added Stevia to my Moscow Mule. If youre not a regular bowler, I recommend a wrist guard and not playing more than 3 games. You will feel it in your hands, wrists, arms, neck, shoulders and legs the next day. Those balls are heavy!
Staff is terrible and unattentive, doorman refused my entry of my service dog based on incorrect and illegal information. Even when visiting this place beforehand, the food is reheated Costco fare. If youre a drunk Giants fan you probably think this place is 3 Star Michelin then go puke on the sidewalk...
First of all i would like to say that i have never left a negative review for any business.EVER.I am also a business owner and i know how abad review can damage the reputation of a company. That being said heres what happened.A couple months ago my company was contracted out to transport staging equipment for a disaster relief concert that was held at the at&t center.it was late and i was thirsty so i asked a local where can i go get a quick meal and a sprite.he informed me that there was a place up the block called lucky strikes that he recommend i try.so i took his advice and walked to this establishment(HEAR IS WHERE IT GOT BAD) as i approached the door i was met by security asking to see my id.This didnt bother me because buy the looks of this place i could tell they served alcohol.so i pulled out my wallet and let him see my info. Then he said that he couldnt let me in because they had a dress code. Now this made my antennas go up because the people that went in before me was dressed in shorts and a sweatshirt and the people inside also where comfortably bressed.when i asked about the dress code and the people Who entered before me he said they could enforce the dress code on who they pleased. Now as a black man from the south i know discrimination when i see it and if this wasnt discrimination then California dose not have earthquakes and San Francisco is in Mississippi.I was pissed hungy and thirsty but i be dammed if i give these bastards half a penny i earned. I went across the street to an Asian restaurant and they where great.got some good Grubb and got my sprit.😊I wish i could remember the name of that Asian restaurant👍 so for my people of a darker hue lucky strikes may not be for you.
Poor management. how does a business like lucky strike not know private parties schedule until the DAY of the event?!our experience went a little something like this (via phone):me: hi, i was wondering if i can make a reservation for tomorrow for bowlingls: its walk-in only tomorrow and theres a private event so please call back tomorrow morning to see what time the private event isme: ok thanks.next morning:me: dials phone once, no one answeredme: dials phone again, no one answeredme: dials phone again, no one answered againsame night:showed up to lucky strike to find out that the WHOLE entire venue besides the bar was closed down for a private event. ARE YOU S*ITTING ME?!never again. yep, ls gets a big X (out) in my books.

2022-07-02Don’t waste your time keep walking you’ll get better service at the ball park. Waited over 15 minutes before the waiter even made it to our table but he had no problem waiting on 2 couple who just got seated. We were getting ready to leave but then he stopped and actually took our drink and food order. We thought great will have time before the baseball game starts but when another 15 minutes passed and we didn’t even get our drinks. Really, so we left that place must pay their employees well that he doesn’t need our service.

2022-06-18They use a very old rope system to get the pins set up, so the pins dont move the way youd expect free standing ones to move. It messes with scores quite a bit - our group spent a lot of time updating scores. Beer list is pretty miserly, and service is fine when not busy.

2022-04-01Good beer, average food and faulty bowling lanes. Overall its a bit of fun but dont expect good pizza or faultless bowling.

2019-04-21We went one evening for a company event. The bowling alley is in the back of the venue. Modern equipments but didn’t have much choices in balls size. Great place to gather with colleges or friends. We had an arrangement for open bar and food from 6pm to 9pm. They kept bringing everything in quantity until the last hour.

2021-12-23We had a reservation for 9 PM and were there early letting them know, but they made us wait because the lane is still occupied when it was our turn. Also, they changed my tip amount. I even told the lady on the desk that the charge on my card did not match the tip amount. It’s only less than a dollar but it makes me lose trust on their business if they change the tip amount I put on the receipt.

2022-01-19Pretty great place to hang out and bowl or just be at the bar to watch games. They were short staffed and it took longer to get stuff, but Im not going to ding them for that. Tough all around right now (2022).

2022-05-27The bowling experience is alright, customer service is pretty bad. You might be told to wait an hour even if you have a reservation.

2022-05-26A wonderful place to spend quality family time. Food is tasty and reasonably priced.
