Very rude .They locked public park behind the school and did t let people use it on the public holiday. Even though the park is public after the school hours . Alice -came out to talk to us very defensive and rude trying to convince us that she doesn’t have a key. Children were jumping over the fence and she didn’t care if someone gets hurt. They are usually very helpful at the senior center but this time she was very argumentative and for some reason she was taking videos and pictures of children inside the park. Chavez parks are public and they should be open for everyone not when they feel like to lock it or keep it open .I wish my tax money goes for proper use

Im really missing this place the people here they are very nice. The exercise sessions are what I really miss - if there was any way the management would consider continuing a way for us who really need the strength our movements of all our body parts outside- maybe out back in the parking lot my body would love it! Social distancing of course! The Yoga classes were what I looked forward too and the constant moving and stretching on chairs of course because I’m walking cane slow- Please I beg you I would pay a weekly fee just to get out the house and move. Thank you!R/Angela Robinson

This center is in an older building and could use some updates, but that is up to the powers that be with the city to fund more monies to the center. They hold many great events and offer lessons of different types. The auditoriums are large and accommodate many activities. It has a good-sized physical fitness center which is kept up with cleanliness. Some seniors need to be reminded to wipe down equipment after use, some you just know you are left to clean after them as the staff cant watch everyone. If this center had more city funding great improvements and staffing could be bettered. Someone talk to the mayor and good luck with that!

I was invited to attend a Thanksgiving dinner with a friend of mine at the Long Beach Senior Citizen Center. The people their were very friendly & knowledgeable. My friend Rosetta showed me around the facility. The food that they served was very good. Keep up the good work. Happy Thanksgiving to all of U. Nov 22,2018(THANKSGIVING DAY)! 🤗

Diverse crowd for all occasions, voting and holiday stuff as well. Jewelry, lapidary workshops, library that is quaint and quiet. Cafe is food with convenience and decent quality. Perfect for a palate that wishes to have minimal spice AND safe for a gut that endured military chow. :-) :-p

A great place for a senior to get a well balanced nutritious meal for $2.25. And find the company of other seniors. There are many other activities at the Center, including an active pool room, library, gift shop, & exercise classes. Personnel in social services are available to assist seniors in personal needs- housing, caregiver assistance, transportation, etc.

The Senior Center in Long Beach is a great place to go for information regarding activities for Seniors 50+ and older. There are daily activities as well as Sight seeing trips, Casino trips, Museum trips and so on.There is an on site Cafeteria that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as a Gift Shop, and a wealth of information relating to the Long Beach area goods and services for Seniors, such as Health issues, Housing concerns, the Long Beach City Police gives safety precautions, and Scam alerts, along with Medicare and Medicaid information and many others issues. All in all a wonderful place to visit.

Nice place for seniors to go. Has an exercise room. Offers free classes for various craft & well being exercises usually in the mornings. Offers low discount lunches for seniors, and has a pool table on the second floor. Nicely maintained & usually climate controlled.

I was very impressed with all the options that are available for Seniors like myself. And will go back to possibly take some computer classes. Very clean and will look into other things that I also enjoy. The fitness area also interested me. I give it more than 5 stars if I could.
