Ive been shopping here for more than 20 yrs. They have the best sweet bread and specialty cakes in town. Also the food plates are abundant and tasty, they have tamales de elote and posole on a daily menu.
Delicious 3 leches cakes and regular fruit cakes .. the cake are moist better then chinos cakes and wayyyyy better than northgate and wayyyy better then el super and wayyyy better then Poblana bakery.. i recomend it here.
Tamales are like homemade. The BEST champurrado and theyve got plates like my grandma cooked however, theres an issue with the lemon/onion & cilantro/radishes bag... its sorta always slimy. Have to admit, it makes me not want to go but the food and sweet treats are so good :-/
I bought some last minute Tres Leches cakes when I couldnt get any at Portos... these were so tasty and definitely made up for it.

I love their bread. They also make cakes too. This is a Mexican place so please do not think that it is like a regular bakery. They also sell food there too, Mexican food. Their Mexican bread is so good, I love it here. It is fresh and very soft. The customer Serivce is just great, every time I go in they are always so nice and sweet. If they are busy they will still greet you and tell me they will be with me as soon as they can. If you love Mexican bread then this will be a place to go.I would not know about the food because I have yet to try it out.
Very Helpful Staff fused with delicious pan dulce and just about everything Mexican makes this a must try for everyone wanting to try an authentic taste of Mexican culture. Very close to moms cooking and moderately priced. Theres always always crowd here sonyou know thats a good sign!!! Come and check it out!
Pan dulce are really bomb and soft. Their cakes are good and somewhat cheap. They sell food , tamales and their champurado is really good.
I give it a 2 star due to the fact thr tamales are 26 bucks a dozen. Go to Ramirez meat Market in Baldwin Park you can still get the dozen at 18. Vayan a la Ramirez en Baldwin Park la dozena de tamales a 18 dlrs.
I was looking for an authentic panaderia where I can find fresh bollios and pan dulce. They have a wide variety of pan dulce and they also sell bollios with Chorizo and bollios with ham. This place is worth a stop.

Easy to locate. Freshly baked bread and pastries every day. Staffs were nice and their service was quick. Maybe I should try some of their shake next visit.

First time customer, I went in to La Puente Bakery to buy a cake for a co worker. They had just what I wanted, $12, you cant beat that price. The cake was so good my co workers were telling me all day how much they like it. This will be my Bakery from now on Im taking my son there to eat. If they cook like they bake i cant go wrong.
Love this place great fresh bread, awesome tamales, and delicious champurado. The staff is very nice and the young lady that helped me was so friendly and helpful. I recommend this place to everyone I know that lives in the county.
I just wish we had a great bakery like this up north where I live! Nothing like this in the Bay Area can compare. Oh well I just have to keep coming back down here to see family and friends and bring pan back to the bay!
Ordered an anniversary cake. Decoration was spot on. Cake flavor was a bit different than I had ordered, but it was still very good. Would definitely recommend.

Bread looks good but everythings to expensive and tameles dont have much meat my tamale didnt have meat til the last bite and are expensive and half a dozen for 14 bucks come on rather go to a small bakery down the street get more for my money.last time see me there

Was driving around town looking for a place to grub a rolled up on this lil jewel ..ate a asada torta with avocado slices,lettuce.tomato and a piece of FRIED queso DAMN!!! And the softest bread EVER!! 5 stars oh yeah the staff was amazing too

2020-10-05When I was working on the go, a quick stop for a coffee and pan dulce(sweet bread) followed up with a torta de chorizo con huevo(chorizo w scrambled eggs) would be all I need before the sunrise. The staff in this small hardworking panadería (bakery) work time for you to be in n out in no time, very friendly and good humored. You tell them what you need and they got you covered. 2021-05-24We ordered a bday cake for my daughter. it was tasty. the customer service experience was not good. The lady taking the order was rude, asked us to hurry in submittimg the order. it was almost closing time. so yes she rushed us.

2020-09-23This bakery has the very best pan dulce ever!! Yes it is a bit pricier than most but it tastes so much superior to those other places where you get 4 or 5 pieces for a $1.00. The cakes are so delicious they use fresh fruit you can tell because it not brown or soggy. As a family, every time we have ordered food its been good and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. Weve lived in La Puente for over 40 years, this is our go to place for pan dulce and birthday cakes. I would highly recommend the strawberry cheesecake cake oh so good!

2021-01-23This bakery is amazing! Food is always fresh & so is their pan dulce. I have had their menudo, Pozole, small chicken/carnitas tacos. So good! They have a great chile relleno solo, always fresh & delicious. Their bread rolls are great also, always coming out fresh.
