DO NOT BUY FROM KIA CARSON. Disclaimer I’m new to California by way of Houston, Texas. I wasn’t familiar with any Kia dealerships locally. I was having battery issues and to my surprise AAA couldn’t sell me one nor could Costco. So I called my local Kia Dealership in Carson.Enter crazy phone interaction. I call Carson Kia Dealership 5x & was transferred/put on hold without knowing/couldn’t get basic questions answered/extremely long hold wait times. My interaction was with Angie then Stephanie. Mind you I had to call from a different phone just to remind them I was on hold on the other line. I cut through the chase by informing them that I was inquiring about a battery. I was informed that most likely my battery was out of warranty and I would need a new one. I corrected her and said I want to buy one which is the reason why I was calling to get a quote. They took my information after I told them that parts wasn’t picking up any phone calls. So they take my information and tell me that someone would reach out. After this frustrating interaction I call Cerritos Kia since I figured My car wouldn’t get the care it needed from Carson Kia location. Out the gate I had Nicole answer from Cerritos dealership & she walked me through 3 department roles which she didn’t have to and answered all of my questions or found the answer for me. I thanked her for her kind spirit but most importantly her professionalism in her role to go beyond the call of duty. She put me in the care of Victor and his bedside manner was so pleasant, plus reassuring. He also told me other services that I would need sometime soon but didn’t hard sell me. Which I really appreciate. He explained the process so that I could understand the why behind the cost. My car was ready when promised and Victor kept me abreast of my repairs in a timely fashion. I was so frazzled with my car not starting Victor gave me the assurance that I was in good hands. This dealership hands down has the best company culture and it’s clearly the testament of its leadership. Beyond exceptional in my opinion. Please never change the formula because it works!Moral of the story….. Go to businesses that will value you as a customer and not a headache.
I almost bought q car today w James ! Because of personal matter I didn’t buy it ! But I need to come here and thank James for everything! He went above and beyond to help me and I really appreciate your help! If you there please ask for James ‘ he is definitely the best ! I hope I can come and buy my car in the future and I hope that James will there to help me ! Thank you !
Its not the old one now you have to read over things before you leave i was in a rush and they couldnt get me approved at first eventually they did but once I got home read over my contract I found over 3,000 dollars over charged 2,000$ for some tire warranty that she mentioned but said is was gap it is not and then they added back in to the total price the 1000 dollars down-payment (how) but I signed it and im gone. But definitely read over your final contract the first add on is on the top right corner she went from bottom up the second top right corner signature is for gap so just beaware
Good service but the prices are too high now. I guess all dealers are doing the same thing. They are adding 8k more ON TOP from the MSRP price due to the shortage of cars. That is insane. Plus finance, taxes. So a car of 24k you will end paying 36k or more. Its not a good time to buy a car now are overpriced.
I am very disappointed with Kia. Our car suddenly started to heat up, I took it to the dealership at least 2 times before they finally told me it was a manufactured engine problem. We left our Cadenza 2017 in the middle of October 2021 and until now we havent had the car. The first time I picked up the car, I couldnt take it home because the engine light was on and they told me to leave it to get checked. The second time, after almost 7 months, being in service the button of the seat was missing. The third time I picked up the car and finally took it home my husband noticed oil leaking from the engine. Its been 9 months now since we dont have the car and we are still paying for it and we dont have a date from the dealer when the car will be fixed.
My experience with KIA has been horrible, their communication style is not professional. I have learned that if I need to speak to someone I need to go in to the dealer personally because no one will respond back to the calls if you are lucky enough to even get tour phone call answered. I have had nothing but issues with my car and as of this moment I have been trying to communicate with a specific person and I have left them messages and have called several calls and no response. I dont get my concerns answered or responded to in any matter. All I want at this point is to end all services with KIA due to my horrible experience.
I wish I can give no stars to the service department!! Just got my car back , they took the engine apart and put it back together and now its missing screws . Try to get hold of the so called manager and never answers. This is not the first time I have issues with my car and they do nothing about it!!! The only good part was my advisor , she was great!! The rest horrible, you take your car to get fixed and it comes out worst!!!!!! Dont waste your time and money here go to another dealership
Trying to speak to someone in the finance department is nearly impossible! You have to call their main number and ask for finance through the sales department...then it just rings and rings and rings with no way to leave a message nor speak to anyone. Extremely frustrating as it happens every single time I try to contact them. This unfortunately has not been a pleasant nor smooth car buying experience.
I dont get whats the whole point of scheduling an appointment. My appointment was at 8:45am and didnt get attended until 10:50am. Then I was told it would take 2 hours for my car to be serviced and took over 4 hours for an oil change and wheel balancing. This place never used to be like this. Wasted half of my day and had to reschedule some errands I had to do.
Had an appointment and still waited 3 plus hrs for an oil change. Not to mention no courtesy loaner. Save your money and time, change your own oil or find a reliable option that is time efficient. Or spend the extra money for an Audi or BMW. At least there you get a courtesy vehicle.
I do not recommend buying from this company. They trick you into buying stuff like LoJack that they say is required. ITS NOT! While they run your credit, they add stuff without asking you and then rush you off to sign papers with Finance. They do not bring it to you prior to review with your sales rep. Even after I said no to the add-on warranty, it was still added and I signed a form thinking I was denying it and i actually agree to it. Its my fault for not understanding the sales papers. I just thought a trusted company would be truthful. They say they need to make money, which is such a shady way of putting it. Any kind of mark over MSRP is revenue, whether it is five dollars or five thousand. The GM, Will, ignored my calls and only responded to my one email showing me papers. He is completely useless and allows his team to take advantage of buyers who dont know the car business well. They made money off of me. Plenty-Charge up 2K plus my car they will easily make 4K+ and whatever they get for selling Kia cars. So heres the point. They racked up my loan and a higher loan payment because they added 4,295.00 onto it without my permission and used tricky words and misleading information to get me to sign it. Will The GM will not answer emails or calls. Do not buy from this company. Go to other good Kia dealerships around the area.
Pretty spectacularly bad service. Appointment at 11 but I didn’t even get to check in my car until a little bit after 1130. Even though I had specified that I had a technical issue with my car, I was told on the day of the service that they wouldn’t be able to get to that for about five hours. That would’ve been OK, if they would have let me know ahead of time, but I did not plan to be here for five hours, so I will have to schedule that for another day. I texted to ask about my car, to see how long it would be, and no answer until I walked up in person. No apologies, just some vague comment about management. I will not come back here for service.
My engine indication light turned on and I made an appointment for my car to be checked out. They said I need maintenance and that it’s going to be $200. I figured it’ll include multiple maintenance services like full engine inspection, drivetrain, hoses, etc. He did not explain to me what was included in the maintenance fee. They only changed the oil and added some unnecessary enhance, then charged $125 for the labor for the labor. My itemized charge list does not include anything else. Complete rip off. The car industry has no respect for a woman and this dealership is the epitome of that diabolical failure as an industry. If only you knew how much more money you would make if you respected women.
My brother went to Kia of Carson to buy a new Kia. They told him they had a car with only 20 miles on it, and they would knock $2000 off the price if he bought this one. He did. Now, 75,000 miles later, the car is burning oil. Kia’s have a 100,000 mile warranty, so he took it in to get it fixed and they told him his warrantee was over at 60,000 miles. They explained that the 100,000 mile warranty is only for new cars and that he bought a used car. They did not tell him this when they switched him from a new car to this one with 20 miles on it. It is common to buy a new car with a few miles on it. They use the new cars to go out on test rides or the salesman will drive them out for lunch or home. If he had known, he would not have purchased this car. It was the 100,000 mile warranty that enticed him to buy a Kia to begin with. To add insult to injury, at 55,000 miles, Kia sent him a notice that unless he had his transmission serviced, it would void his warranty. So he paid the $300+, thinking he was protecting the remaining 45,000 miles of warranty. To me, this sounds like a deceptive trade practice
I dont often write reviews, but our experience working with James Henry at this Kia dealership left such a bad taste in our mouths that I decided to write this review with the hope that is helps other potential buyers. We were in the market for a new Kia and spent the better part of yesterday visiting different dealerships. We met very nice people at the first two dealerships we visited in Southern California, unfortunately they didnt have any inventory for the vehicle we were interested in. So after searching online, we found a car at Kia of Carson. Upon arriving, we met a salesman named James Henry. From the get go, we were put off, but we were there for the car and not to be coddled or swoon over. However, we did expect to be treated with a little more appreciation than we received, after all, we were there to purchase a car. In an attempt to keep this review from reading like a novel, Ill get to the point. We liked the car, but the price James quoted us was drastically higher than the sticker price in the window. We had budgeted to spend what we thought would be the sticker price or a little more, but not several thousand dollars more. After showing this salesman the quote we received from Kias website, he proceeded to tell us that the quote was just a general quote and each individual dealership had the option whether or not they wanted to honor it. He told us they would not match the quote we received. He told us that if we didnt want to pay the price he was quoting us, someone else would come in and do so since cars are in such low supply. We all know that when there isnt a car shortage, dealers will bend over backwards to earn your business. In my opinion, that level of service should exist regardless of market conditions. Now, if this is the level of customer service you are happy with, then by all means, Kia of Carson is the right place for you. For me, how Im treated is the most important factor when Im making a purchase. We were going to go back inside and speak with the general manager, but we decided to call Kia of Downtown Los Angeles instead. From Kia of Carsons parking lot, we spoke with a very pleasant receptionist in LA. We drove up to LA in rush hour and had a very nice experience with the sales and finance team at Kia of DTLA. They were pleasant to work with. Friendly, helpful, offered us bottled water, just the little things that make a difference. Angela, Alex (salesman), Josh (fantastic finance manager) were all great. Ironically, we ended up spending MORE at the Los Angeles dealership than we would have in Carson, but to me, it was money well spent! I know these two locations are under the same ownership group, but the buying experience could not be more different. I was tempted to drive back to Carson and show them the car we purchased from the other dealership, kind of like Julia Roberts did in Pretty Woman, but Im not that petty-LOL. What I am willing to do is write this honest review and hope it might help someone else out who is in the market for a new Kia. If you are, please consider visiting the downtown LA dealership. It might be a pain in the neck to get to, but its worth it. Happy shopping :)
I brought a brand new Kia Niro here about one year ago. This is my third and last service appointment here, they’re ridiculous. From not doing work they were supposed to have done, to losing parts and blaming the customer. It’s been my worst customer experience ever, and I’ve had some bad experiences before.. taking above three hours to do an oil-change is beyond slow, another hour to pick-up the car ruins the remainder of the day. I most certainly will not be doing service here anymore, a new purchase is also out of the question at this location. There’s Kia of Cerritos nearby too, they seem to have a better reputation regarding service.
I initially called Kia of Carson on a Wednesday- I was planning on having my car towed to their dealership that day in which the service advisor on the phone took ALL my info down and informed me it was not necessary to call the dealership upon the towing taking place to let them know my car was on its way since they got all of my info on myself & my car- great, right?! Not so much. I arrived the following day (as advisor previously noted had told me just come in the next morning to fill out paperwork & sign).... Well, I get there... and my car is on the premises as an unclaimed vehicle towed in- I GAVE YOU THE INFO SAME DAY! Okay- fine, Ill deal with that. So, I get there and my service advisor Im assigned to- YURI SANCHEZ- initially helps me out kindly and tells me to call or text her phone anytime. So this is now Thursday- I was told my original service dept if I came in Before 12pm it would be serviced with update same day NOPE! No service update on Thursday. Called Yuri AT LEAST 4 times AND texted that day with no response as well as called dealership directly who also did nothing but transfer me to Yuris voicemail as no service advisor had access to my update but her hah okay, thanks!! and I was promised MULTIPLE TIMES a call back within the hour- again- NOTHING!! So on Saturday I get a message stating my vehicle is ready! Great again, right?! NOPE. I could not reach ANYBODY INCLUDING A SUPERVISOR I LEFT A VOICEMAIL FOR until I just drove the hour drive to Kia on Monday since once again no response, communication, call/text, or anything. My car was indeed ready which I picked up and it seriously looked like it went through a mud bath. FINALLY- on the way home!!!!! Yuri calls me back (again after 3 days of no communication) to confirm everything. Great, thanks for the callback after I already picked my vehicle up. Greatly (sarcastic) appreciated. I WILL NEVER BRING MY CAR HERE AGAIN!!!! There is a reason Kia of Cerritos had a two week wait and Kia of Garden Grove one week and this place- none! Because they dont ever communicate with you or call back including the supervisors. I suggest taking your vehicle elsewhere.... Anywhere elsewhere!!!
I went for my first service (7500mil) to this dealer, because I bought my car from there and they offered me special price for first maintenance($69.99) by calling me. I went there on July 10 12.30 pm for my appointment, then they asked different price I said I got call from you, from Chistina of Kia Carson and showed them the appointment message but the guy(name is luis Villa) who said he is a manager said that if you didnt get a text message about price we can not make anything than I wanted to talk supervisor. He did not helped me! I talked another older service person he talked him and they made the price $69.99 which is included tire rotation! After about 2 hours I got my car and documents about service complete but even the cars service required message is still on the screen. The Luis Villa came and solve it! I felt something wrong with all these things and a few minutes later I checked all documents, the papers shows that everything normal and all maintenance completed but my tire pressures were very different than numbers on the ducument. I decided to check the tires, but nuts of the some rims still covered with spider web. I returned the service and asked the old guy how this possible if the tire rotation was done! He went the technician guy and talked with someone else, the guy said I was at lunch I dont know the tire rotation is performed or not if you want I can do it right now! I said do it pls. He rotated the tires and gave my car in 10 min. After all of this, I feel not safe in my car! Looks like they prepared and gave me a fake documents! May be even they didnt change my engine oil!
I brought my car in for it’s check engine light and the hybrid system light on 3/15 at 6 am they didn’t check my car in till that evening at 3 pm because they “forgot” to check it in. The only reason they did is because I called for an update which I never got. They said they’d have to keep it overnight to figure out what’s wrong with it. The next day they called me and said they were going to fix the problem. It was done 3 days later. I picked it up and it was fine. 2 days later the same lights turn on. I bring in my car a week after I picked it up from being “fixed” which is a Saturday. I dropped it off at 9 am and they said they’d update me at 1 pm. I received no calls/texts. I gave them a few more hours considering they might be busy. By 6 pm no call. I called and they told me no one checked my car and it’d have to be kept overnight because they don’t know what’s wrong with it. They said I’d be able to call Sunday for an update. They then called me 15 minutes later because they were closed Sunday. They also told me to come Monday for a rental car since my car isn’t safe for operation because the same thing that was wrong the first time is wrong the second time which means it wasn’t fixed! I’m here Monday and they have no updates on my car nor an idea as to when it’ll be done and now they’ve told me that I can’t get a rental car because my insurance doesn’t cover rental cars so I’ll have to pay out of pocket! I wouldn’t have needed a rental car if they would’ve fixed this the first time or on Saturday like they should have!! Their service is terrible. I thought kia Carson would be better after the horrible service at Cerritos but I think it’s all kia dealers. They don’t help or fix what needs to be fixed and they try and overcharge you. Worst experience. If you’re going to get a kia, I’d definitely think about getting one especially from these locations.
Horrible customer service, not sure if employee like working. I was treated very aggressively, not sure what that was about. The employees, are on cell phone then helping customers. As I stood there only one employee ask if I been help. And was really concerned if he can help me. Employee nameFirst Initial (R). (Mr. R) Hes know who he is. Great Job Man.
Got my kia soul serviced there. As instructed I left the car with the keys in the ignition which included my house and office keys. When the car was returned to me the key was in the ignition but I did not notice until I arrived home to my locked house that they had removed the ignition key from the rest of the keys and had not told me so could not get in my house. Called SIX times and spoke to every department only to be transferred to various voice mails. When I finally spoke to someone who actually called me back I was told they never remove the keys (even though someone clearly had done just that) and that I should drive back to their dealership so they could help me look. I finally found the keys under the passenger seat under the carpet. Was completely given the run around although Im sure if I was calling to purchase a new kia I would have been treated better.
1st visit, came in for a recall with Sedona doors issue, had me wait for 4 hours just to tell me they need to order the motors.2nd visit, repaired the doors but damaged my door panel. 9 hours wait time.3rd waited for 3.5 hours just to tell me they ordered the wrong part for the damages they made, unable to repair at this time.4th visit we will see what happens… I’ll give an update.4th Visit update, repaired the broken door panel. Waited for 2.5 hours. Kia owner commented here but did not provide any phone number or person point of contact.
If I could give them no stars I would. Now the employee who let us test drive the vehicle was great. Now the rest of the employees I delt with were below subpar. First of they did not acknowledge that I had a reservation for a car. 2nd they did nothing to see if they could get me that car even though they failed to notify me when they first came out. 3rd but definitely not least they didnt even respond about the reservation when I showed it to them.
I had my car serviced at Kia and the rep I was dealing with Mia was fantastic. Not only did she help me out with my car and what was needed for it, she also went out of her way to give me some restaurant suggestions in the area. I felt really taken care of. Thank you Mia and Kia.
Who knows if this place was ever good. Poor service, little to no information on your vehicles status when you bring it in for servicing and The staff can hardly look at a customer directly when being asked a question. They are simply here to sell & collect, the customer means nothing to them.Update 2/10 brought my car over again this time worst than the last. I am beyond confident that I will not return to this place. Went in paid money for several services and they cant even look out for their customers, downright petty.
Never trust Kia of Carson. I shouldve learned from my first encounter with them when I was trying to purchase a new car. They were horrible that I ended up going to Downtown LA for my car. I figured it might be different with their service department.........LORDT!!!! I wont do that again. It was quicker to repair the battery than the antenna that THEY broke off my car.Why isnt my car fixed when its just the antenna that YOUUUUUU broke????? Its been a week and no one can tell me whats going on. Ive literally called 6 times spoke to a lady at a desk who keeps transferring me to different voicemails. Im stuck driving this dirty bright green Kia Soul that they loaned me because they didnt have any cars.I never thought I had to go back to key ignition again but here we are(Im used to press to start)I just want my optima back so I can never deal with them ever again.
Been trying to call the service department for 20 minutes. Rings and rings and goes back to the prompt to select the department. Sales answers right away. After talking to the same salesperson twice, he told me to call back later, because Service is under staffed today. So no point in having an answering device because I guess you would be too busy to call back? You need to understand who the customer is and what behaviors will keep the customer happy and what will cause them to shop another brand next time.
I had my vehicle serviced August 2018. The service dept. Will lie to make an up sale of services. My optima had 35,000 miles on it and I was told that I NEEDED a brake flush, transmission flush, engine flush, fuel injection service, and my air filter and cabin air filter. I told them that the filters were just replaced at the last oil change and they said they should be replaced again. Then when I told them that my owners manual does not recommend the other services until after 60000 miles they told me Kia provides the owner manuals 4 multiple models and they cannot the specific information for each specific model and trim in the manuals. So they told me that those services were recommended by the manufacturer at the service interval and high-risk voiding my warranty if I do not do the recommended services. Please be aware of what your owners manual says when it comes down to maintenance intervals these people are Crooks and if you are not aware of the required maintenance intervals you will be wasting your money. I would completely understand if the service writer suggested that I get the services done to maintain my vehicle at Optimum operation but the way they presented it to me would make someone who knows nothing about Vehicles think their car will have issues if they do not do what they are saying to get done. I called KIA corporation to inform them of this misleading information they provided at this location.Fast Foward to December 2018 my mother took her 2015 KIA K900 for an oil change the car the car only has 36,000 miles they dis an inspection of her fluids and CLAIMED her brake fluid NEEDED immediate attention she is 70 yrs old so of course when you are told that you assume something will fail if you dont do the service they recommend. Needless to say they charged her $390 to change her oil, change her brake fluid and fuel injection service. Her owners manual does not recommend to exchange the brake fluid until 60,000 + miles. NOTE as you can see the inspector checked off her brake fluid was Ok(GREEN BOX) but some how she was presented the inspection with an X in the RED box either the service writer, technician. Or service manager could have done that and took advantage of my mother.
I have been in the market for a new car since a driver hit my current car. I have visited this location 2 or 3 times strategically planning what I would like since purchasing a vehicle is a considerable investment. Before visiting for the first time, I called to ask about the online prices. The representative repeated You will have to visit and see how car-shopping has recently changed. What I learned AFTER visiting was that the price of a new model was marked up by about $10,000. They could have simply told me this on the phone. Instead, they tried a bait-and-switch tactic which immediately signaled red flags. Regardless, this was when I decided to save more money and see how the market value would adjust over time so I could pay it off as efficiently as possible.Since then, representatives have contacted me multiple times about appointments I never scheduled. I have been asked redundant questions multiple times within the span of days. They do not care to review previous discussions. (Not valuing my time, as a busy customer, is my largest pet peeve.) I have received an email that was meant for another customer. There was another incident in which a check-engine light came on before my appointment and they did not bother to tell me before I arrived. I even asked them to double-check that the car was readily available beforehand and they confirmed! Naturally, I wondered if it was another bait-and-switch tactic.Next, I asked one of the sales representatives about models within the 2022 K5 series. After researching online, I learned I was told dishonest information. It was either an attempt to get me to buy whatever they immediately had at their dealership, hoping I would remain ignorant, or severe miscommunication. Lastly, I never received documentation I was told would be sent to me.Conclusively, how can I trust them to have my best interest at heart? Or, to attentively manage the details of such a substantial and personal purchase? There is a working culture of disorganization, lack of accountability, and under-valued treatment of customers.Employees are friendly but could *significantly* improve their professionalism. I will purchase elsewhere.
Thank you to this dealership with offering us a good price what we were looking for. We bought a Kia Forte gt line fire orange . Denzel the salesman was so helpful and speeded up the process. The financial manger made it quick too. It is so hard to get a good deal on a car now with a mark up princes other dealers charge $5k-$8k we shopped around a lot kia dealerships this one was the friendliest we been too thank you Kia of Carson !!
I know its not hard to sell a car right now but the service was just so lame. I made appointments, went in 3 times, and I still dont feel like anyone actually helped me even thought I was passed off between 3-4 people. And the dealer mark ups are extra insulting considering how little service you receive.
This is the worst dealer Ive ever been to. Managers would give you wrong information, employees and managers are rude, they will make you wait for hours even if you set up an appointment and worst is they take personal belongings inside your car. Never leave valuables coz they will rob you in broad daylight and manager would not address the problem and ignore you! I will never go back to this dealer again. NEVER TRUST THIS DEALER!
I was just on Lomita Blvd I between 2 hospitals- Torrance Memorial & Kaiser of South Bay when an ambulance with its lights on was coming down the road. All of us pulled over like you are legally obligated to do but for some reason a Kia of Carson Service Van decided to fly around all of us and then barely pause for the ambulance to pass. I was astonished at the complete disregard for whomever life was in that ambulance with lights and sirens on and speeding towards Torrance Memorial. At the next light I caught up with the van which had the phone number so I decided to give them a call, as someone who drives a company vehicle I figured the service manager would be appalled at this. After asking for a manager twice I was transfered to someone and he said he could help me. I let him know what happened and he said, Ill let a manager know. Thats it?!?!? You werent a manager? Obviously they are more concerned with their commissions than the life of whoever was in the back of that ambulance rolling code 3. I was looking at the new telluride but Ill go to Long Beach for my test drive. Pretty dissapointed at the complete dismissal I got from the guy on the phone.
Worst dealership Ive ever been to. The purposely dodge calls and service reps and gm never reply to messages. The even stole items from my car while it was being serviced. Left my entire seat smudged up and oil the didnt even bother to put plastic or cover it up. Service is very rude too started raising their voice at me when I was explaining my issues. Very unprofressional service I would never recommend kia or kia of carson to anyone.
I brought my car for the recall and took hours to finish. My keyfob is inside my LV keyfob holder and when they returned my remote, the holder was gone! I complained immediately to the managers but nothing happened. They said they will check on the cctv and never got back to me! Tried calling the manager Luis and the manager for Service but I was being transferred to nobody! Left a voicemail but no return calls neither apologies. Kia is my favorite brand but this will be my last kia coz Im so disappointment with how I was treated. How can there be a thief working for you and management is so lenient!
Worst customer service! Whats the point of an appointment if you still have to wait over 1hr for someone to even come talk to you. They say they are busy but all the reps are just sitting around on their phones. No one even bothers to greet you or at least let you know they are behind. Probably hire anyone off the street. Dont come here.
I bought my 2016 Kia Optima from Carson Kia, I was happy to buy a car with such a great warranty A warranty I hope they stand by. I had to take my car to the service department cause my engine light went on. The first time I took it, they said it needed a oil change. I was charged a oil change and a diagnostic fee. Then two weeks later the engine light went on again and my car stalled twice on me. They said it was a battery. And I bought a battery. Now today my engine light went on again and now I have no car. They never took care of the first problem and made me buy all this services I did not need as the check engine light was not taken care of the first time. They did not charge me the diagnostic fee today and Inhope they stand by their warranty. cause there is something wrong with my ca . Ive never had this problem with my car and always get it service as required....this was written over 1 year ago and we are back to square one. I will update after today oil change
DON’T GO HERE!! After months of dealing with a engine recall I finally pick up my car that now has 3 large scratches on the back bumper and when I get into my car it has Burger King wrappers and receipts scattered in the passenger seat! I called Kia immediately after finding the scratches And expressed my concerns with Jesse who passed me off to Eddie. After calling and leaving 3 voicemails for both of them throughout the month with NO RESPONSE I finally call back and get a hold of them then they passed me off to Brad who I left a voicemail for and NEVER heard back. I can not believe after them damaging my car and using it as a trash bag that I’m the one who has to keep following up to hear nothing back. I am disgusted with this place and how they run their business. This is not how they should treat people who trust them with their cars! Worst part I can’t even sell the car for what it’s worth since THEIR scratches devalued it! HORRIBLE.
This morning around 9am, I called the service department for an estimate to get my car door fixed after someone attempted to steal my car. I was polite and respectful and so was the gentleman who helped on the phone at first, listening to try to access how and if Kia could help, giving estimate prices, and the time of the department hours. However, when asked his name, to thank him for his help and as a reference person when I took my car in tomorrow, he became abrupt and rude. He wouldn’t allow me to say anything, stating I don’t work tomorrow and then hanging the phone up in my face. It’s unclear as to why it changed. I’m understanding but I definitely wanted to point out that it took me by surprise. Very unhappy with how that turned out because it was affordable.
This is the second review I have left for this place specifically about their service department. The previous time they had incorrect operating hours listed on their website so we were unable to pick up our car that same day and had to come back again the next day. With two little kids and needing cars for work this is extremely inconvenient. Then just this morning I had already scheduled an appointment online and filled out what we needed looked at (diagnostic work) you still have to wait in line about 30 minutes even if you have an appointment, after we did all that they told us they do not do diagnostic work on Sundays-just oil changes. This is not mentioned on their website that I could find and at NO time during my process of scheduling my appointment was I stopped and told this wouldn’t be available. We will be taking our business elsewhere.
Potential Buyers Beware!!!!!!!!!! Crooked Salesperson trying to make a deal on a car that has already been sold! What a joke, drive an hour after talking about a vehicle for two days even talking numbers in the dealership meanwhile the car is already sold. Incompetent employees really do a bang up job of selling someone’s else’s purchase, what idiots.
I have to give Freddy Hernandez a 5 start review he sold us a car in an hr. No playing around he was nice and to the point, not trying to upsell anything. He was knowledgeable of the car features, Alan was also great help in the process. Thank you you have made my suegra happy.
Went to Kia in Carson today and was so disappointed with the Customer Service in the Service Department. No one came to assist me they all just stood there talking and laughing, just needed a battery! Just ashame! Never will go there again. Oh was also thinking of buying another Kia today!🙄
There has never been a more easy and painless dealership experience than the one I received from Diana at Carson Kia. I reached out via text from their website and from there I was put in touch with Diana. We managed to settle on an OTD price that I was happy with within 3 days and all over text! No pushy sales call, no hidden dealer add on costs, full transparency. I was super skeptical when I showed up in person on whether they will indeed honor the OTD price we agreed to over text, as I was expecting customary gotchas pulled by your typical car dealerships. They massaged the discount amount so that we would arrive at our originally agreed-upon OTD price. All the add-on’s that other dealership would have charged for an arm and leg for (paint protectant and wheel lock), they bundled them all in at no additional costs. OTD is OTD, didn’t even try to sell me a maintenance plan. We arrived at 2pm and drove the car out by 4:30pm! Really appreciate how Diana was very detail oriented and keen to keep the process as efficient and hassle-free as possible. She understands her client and knows how to provide the best service. She went and arranged the car to be washed and prepped for transfer while I was waiting for the paperworks, before I even asked! Even installed the temp license plate herself. She is one of the best car sales person I have dealt with by far. I will keep going straight to her whenever I need another Kia.
Kia of Carson failed to give me the wheel lock key. I didn’t notice until a year later when I got a flat tire and we couldn’t take the wheel off. When I went back to the Kia Carson they wanted to charge me $200 for the wheel lock key. I will never do business with them again.
Even with an appointment, I have to wait 3 to 5 hrs just to check my vehicle? And they dont even have loaners available 👎They still need to improve the waiting time for regular oil change. Also it will be nice to have some water and coffee for customers, its May 2022, Covid shouldnt be an excuse
Inquired them about certified KIA used vehicle. Sales person was courteous on the text and in person(who wouldnt when they are selling couple thousand product). However, when I was checking the car out, I discovered the passenger side side mirror was bit came off of the car. And I guess something or someone hit it so hard that it hit the car door and dent and scratches were on the door. The sales person is surprised since this obviously dont look certified. He quickly says something must have hit it while it was in the lot and they can fix it for me when I purchase the car. I ask what they are going to do about the dent since it looked pretty bad. He said he will ask the manager and answer was, they are not going to fix it for me or adjust the price for the dent since car was already in good price range.I mean that price was set before the damage was found on the car and obviously that price range they are talking about dont apply anymore. The sales person goes on to argue the price might have included for the damages like this. I am pretty certain no one would price the car the same when it requires a paint job to look pristine. They reached out next day saying best they can do is $200 off. I actually laughed when they offered this. I mean who is going to fix a dent that require paint job for $200? Had to tell them, if they can find s
During these times of uncertainty. We still need a K5 and love my K Fly GT-Line! haha This is the 2nd vehicle that I picked up from here(wont be my last). I can stand firm, that my family and I received the same treatment from our 1st visit. Which is beyond the rating that has allotted for ones overall experienced. haha Rarou Kong aka Ryu was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and made us felt comfortable. That welcoming, at home feeling is a must! I also wanted to give a shout-out to Allen Chhou. He made my numbers crunching experience at ease. I have a few more years to go but will return!
I went to service for oil exchange of Kia Soul 2015 and it turned out that they ruined a part of a door that I dont know how they did but I have 2 weeks without the car struggling to go to work and leave the children to school because of a mistake they made and they didnt want to give me a rental car that because my insurer does not cover a rental car being that it was not my fault my wife tried to talk to anyone on duty and no one responds
Awesome staff, Tino the Salesman is top tier customer service! He was super in demand the night I went in but he did his best to juggle between customers! I walked in with my mind set on the Telluride or nothing, when I asked Steve he said it wouldnt be possible with my budget. Right when I was going to walk out Tino grabbed us and told us to just give him a chance, its going to happen... After alot going on, Steve worked his magic and I agreed to pay a little more monthly. My Telluride wasnt even logged in their system!! The whole team was just awesome people, very welcoming and friendly keeping a stressful situation at ease! Tino was the best! Steve is the man that could make it happen! Jimmy and Diana were very down to earth and funny! To any possible future customers, I would like to pass the advice on from Tino anything is possible and would like to add, we have to be realistic with our budget and be ready to spend on what we want! My 2021 Kia Telluride is lovely!
Caleb Gonzales is a very Nice and professional, Low Pressure Car Salesman, about the only thing that would have made it better would be if he wasnt juggling us with other customers that made the process took 4 hours when it could have been done in an hour or 2, granted i didnt make an appointment, i just went the dealer and he made time to squeese me in., he honored my Truecar quote with no problem.i would highly recommend him.
If you look at my reviews I’ve only a handful and they’re all bad experiences. Haha. Classic problem with online reviews...well I felt the need to give this place my time to say how wonderful our experience was. We went to a handful of dealers over the last few weeks looking for a car as we just had a baby and needed a bigger vehicle. Wow. They were so nice, genuine, and helpful. Our salesman was Haroun, and what a patient gentleman with good energy. Buying a car is always something I’ve had anxiety about and this team made it easier. Thanks everyone! Someone even offered to take our pic with the car that worked there!
Let me start off by saying Im not the type to leave a bad review. BUT in some cases u have to, KIA of Carson staff is nice! But their wait times for service without an appointment is not. It will be nice for someone to at least let you know how long your wait time will be & dont even think about trying to bring your car in for a recall, Youll be there all day! & last but certainly not least the treatment of your car when your back is turned! the way they run over them speed bumps its not OK. KIA you need to train your staff to do better!
Thank God for reviews! It helps us to make better choices. So far this dealership gets the trophy of being the worse I have ever been to. Internet Sales people gave me the wrong information on the phone. I wasted my time. The sales person, well look for the word “pathetic” in the dictionary and you will find his picture right next to it as an example. The building has a horrible, and I mean horrible smell inside, I guess it’s compatible with their customer service! I had to exit the building and wait outside I couldn’t stand the smell. Fortunately, there are so many wonderful car dealerships in Southern California for you to choose from, this is not one of them. Responses from owner is always the same ( I guess he doesn’t even read what people are saying, just copy and paste same response).
This is the worst Kia dealership by far. I would give them a zero rating if I would. They have a reputation for overcharging customers. I just recently got my car serviced and they charged me over $600 for the services. I called the Cerritos Kia to inquire about the pricing for the same service Carson fixed and the price was $300 less. When I dropped my car off to them at 10am they literally went all day without telling me any updates about my car. I called them over 20xs to get an update and they would just say we’ll have someone call you back which they never did. They end up calling me 5mins before 7pm closing time to say oh we figured out what’s wrong with your car. They will never get another penny out of me. I will never use them again. Only decent person there was Jesse, and it’s unfortunate he works there. Save the headache and take your car to another dealer!
Today I took my car to get a simple oil change. When I got to the dealer, there were some cars in front of me so I knew it would take a while. The man who helped me was somewhat helpful. He told me it would take a while, but he didnt tell me what type of repairs my car would need in the future. Every single time in the past, the associate would provide me with a paper of how long before some parts needed to be changed. After I waiting and they called me to let me know my car was ready, I thought they would give me the complimentary car wash that they always do. As it turns out, that wasnt the case. Hopefully, these things change.
READ THE RECENT REVIEWS!!! Theyre almost all 1 star for a reason! This dealership is in the business of misleading people in order to get them in the door and then pull a quick one. My wife and I were just about to head down to purchase a new car they were advertising on their website for MSRP. We were willing to pay MSRP because its a nice car and it had the color combination and features we wanted. When my wife called to put money down, in order to hold it (we would be coming from out of town) they casually mentioned they would be adding an additional $7,000 to the price of the vehicle. They could have mentioned it 20 times prior when we were discussing pricing, finance and trade options. It was 100% intentional and a colossal waste of our time. DO NOT TRUST THEIR INTERNET PRICING. If you do work with them, get everything in writing up front, or better yet, give your business to one of the 10 other Kia dealerships in the vicinity.
Cant wait to sell both our cars and get out of the Kia brand all together. Company has has gone way down hill. We have been loyal customers since 2011. Cant even change out the windshield wipers on our 18 optima without it scratching the paint off the hood. Dropped off the 18 Saturday at 1230 just picking up the car on Monday at 6pm $330 later for a battery. Of course they needed to do diagnostics that told them nothing other than my battery was dead. That could have been done by testing the actual battery. Very disappointing.
Kia Corporate finally agreed to fix my car after waiting 6 weeks and though I was frustrated with them, not Kia of Carson, the service at this Dealership was awesome! Cristina in Customer Service is wonderful. Really great at her job and a nice person. Sometimes, as customers, we can be somewhat rude or abrupt and may take it out on the staff, and I must say that she handled me in a professional manner and helped me feel at ease. This is the type of customer service that shows the quality of a dealership. Also, the girl in the rental / Cashier department was also amazing. Got me my rental in no time. And though it was not an Optima, it is a nice car and acceptable. I will definitely buy my next car from them and appreciate all of their efforts. I highly recommend.
I was happy when I purchased my Jeep from Kia of Carson . I was told so many things were covered under warranty . I went to get serviced today and guess what! I had to pay for services because my car wasn’t A Kia. I purchased my car way back in may I hsve get to receive plates or registration. And I had to wait 3 1/2 for A simple oil change
Stay away from their service department. My car was broken into and had someone sleeping in it while it was getting serviced they kept the car for over a month because I was waiting on parts. As soon as I went in for a loaner since it was under warranty they fixed the car in a couple of days. They tried to give me my car back completely trashed from the inside since someone had been living in it and went into everything I had in there. They agreed to at least clean it, the least they could do. When I finally got my car back the check engine light turned on when driving home I called they said bring it back now my 3rd time back . They just cleared the code and told me to drive it and go on my way but if the light turned on again to bring it back. Sure enough less then 24 hour later check engine light turns on again. now my 4th trip to drop off the car again and this time they say they dont have a rental for me tough luck because they had no idea I was coming back even though they told me to come back. They take about another week to fix their mistakes again and finally after about two months I got my car back in what I hope is working condition. Save yourself the headache and stay away.
My daughter went to purchase out her lease and a sales rep Abdul did nothing but tell her false truths. Nothing he said was even near honest. His finance rate was double than any other dealer. Her payoff was around 9K and he kept adding optional items in which would have made the finance over 15K. When she asked about the fees he refused to answer. Kia of Carson is not a credible dealer. I do not recommend going there, shop for a car else where. He also told her that she wasn’t allowed to buy the car from any other dealer, lie after lie.
Went in expecting to purchase my lease, but Abdul Samhat was very unhelpful and a waste of time. I have a good credit score and he wanted to charge me 7% interest rate and when I asked for him to lower it, he changed it to 6.9%. What kind of joke is that. He increased my buyout quote by thousands of dollars and repeatedly lied to my face and would not answer me when I asked if the fees added were optional or not. He added unnecessary and high interest so he would get a higher commission. He gave me a hard time about trying to buy my car, he said no other dealer will let me buy it. I walked out and did not take his offer. He was very unprofessional and is not willing to work with the customer. His actions and words were rude. A day later I walked into the Cerritos Kia and they gave me the best customer service experience ever, way better than the Carson of Kia. If you guys are looking for another location, Please go to the Cerritos one. They are #1 in the country, and they wont rip you off like Carson of Kia. They let me buy my car (unlike Abdul said), and they offered me a way better rate. They did not add additional fees, they were straight up and answered all questions that I had.
One week ago a went in for an oil change worse experience the rep by name Luis no manners he was more into eating and flirting with one of the cashiers didn’t even explain what the car need it per the mileage on the car. Today my mom when I’m for an oil change as well ans the rep Issac didn’t even explain to her what her Kia need to be done he just gave her an amount charging her to check brakes and tires her car had brand new tires and brakes done. Kia Carson is turning into Kia Of downtown sad so see that a place where customer service was outstanding now is turning so horrible. This is just my personal experience.
Great service, very friendly staff and an all around wonderful experience.I take my car in for the factory scheduled maintenance as it comes around and each time makes for a low effort and pleasant experience.Courtesy shuttle is offerred each time, very nice waiting area (with Wi-fi) and the environment just feels great.Checking out new car models is always nice tooThanks Car Pros Kia Carson
I went to the dealership yesterday because my back rear tire had low pressure and they let me know that I had a nail in my tire. They were trying to replace my tire and wanted to charge me over $170 for a brand new tire when I’m not even close into replacing my tired when I got a brand new car this year!!! I went to a tire shop that charged me $15 to remove the nails!!!
The sales person was okay, they need better customer service, especially from the sales manager. I left with a distate for Kia of Carson. The test drive route took less than 3 minutes. They tried to get me to start the loan process before even talking to me about the price of the actual car! When I told the salesman I wont sign anything or run my credit before discussing any numbers, he spoke to the manager who was within earshot and I could hear how rude and unwilling to help the manager was before even talking to me. He even told the salesman to just get us out of here. When he finally came to talk to me, I was upfront and said that I wasnt willing to overpay for things I didnt need such as lowjack and helium in the tires (and thats not even taking into consideration that they were trying to push a color i didnt want onto me) he made a face and asked me what i wanted. When i told him, he made no effort to negotiate or compromise, instead he spoke over me.They need to learn to work with a potential customer. I was preapproved and had more than enough money to purchase the car, but I definitely will not be purchasing it from them.
This is a review of the Service Department: My husband took in our 2020 Soul for engine recall work. The Service rep upsold him an unneeded radiator flush and transmission flush. When he tried to call the Servie Department to cancel that service, he was unable to get through and all the voice mail boxes were full. He had to drive back to the dealership to address this rip-off. I am extremely disappointed in their underhanded dealings. Our car buying experience was lovely and I really wanted to continue a relationship with them.
My husband and I purchased a 2016 Kia Optima from Carmax and in less than 5 months, there was an issue with the starter. The car was still under warranty but Carmax advised that we need to take it directly to the Kia dealer to fix, so we took it to Trophy Kia of Carson in December 2020. We needed a loaner which Carmax could not offer at the time. So, the service department advised us that if we went to Enterprise and got a rental, once the car is ready we would be reimbursed for the rental.Since December, I have called and emailed numerous times, but to no avail. Finally, last week ( and I dont why it took me so long to do this) I actually go up to the service department and found out they made the decision to deny my reimbursement back in March 2021 due to some policy.First of all, I was never notified of this decision...and secondly WHY am I being denied??!! Why arent your employees trained on this policy? Now I feel like I have been cheated out of $200 and I really just want MY MONEY BACK!!!!!
PROS: The sales reps are pretty nice from what we gathered. We interacted with Rarou and had a nice time talking and test driving cars. The second service manager that we interacted with appeared understanding and really helped us. Now for the bad...CONS: The service department is a complete disaster. The service technicians were nice, but their communication skills are nearly non-existent (a sentiment other reviews have expressed). They never contacted me to update me on the state of my car or even what services had been done or not done. I ended up leaving the dealership and getting a call a day later telling me that a part arrived for my car and I needed to bring it in to get something I thought was already done actually finished. The service technician never told me that it wasnt completed so it was definitely an inconvenience being called back without prior notice, given Im from out of state. The first service manager we interacted with was also very rude and dismissed a concern of ours by simply highlighting a piece of paper and walking away without ever talking to us (even though we clearly made eye contact). If it wasnt for my insistence and the second service manager, I never would have known the cause of my car problems. Honestly, I probably will never come back to this location and would simply recommend going to another location instead for service needs.
This review is from a wholesale buyer at this dealership. Worst experience ever with the parts department. We ordered a couple of parts on dec13. Parts should be in on Dec 15, we called to check and they said they arrived but delivery driver is out already so will deliver on the 15. 16 came Nd no show again, I called and I was told driver had too many deliveries and couldnt get to us but for sure the next day (17)early in the morning. We waited and nothing. We called and they keep hanging our call. Today the 20 I decided to give them the last chance and I was told the same thing. Driver couldnt deliver on friday. I asked to speak to the manager and they just hung up the phone. Fo not do business with this company take your business somewhere else.
Best car buying experience! James (sales) was great to work with. He responded quickly to our emails and calls. Before we left he made sure my new car was washed and gas tank full! Adam(finance) made the process easy and quick. You will not regret buying your Kia here!
This dealership has horrific customer service after a purchase. So I purchased a 2021 Kia Stinger GT in DEC 20 from there with a fairly typical experience I would say was average at best. But that is not the issue, so fast-forward to June 2021 when I received an offer for replacement or buyback from Kia corporate as my car suffered a complete system failure and was unable to be started for the last 60 days even after Kia engineers got involved. So my questions became do the protection and maintenance plans I purchased with the vehicle transfer to the replacement car or get refunded if it became a buyback. Kia Corporate is deducting these plans, total of $5,700, from buyback refund of my down payment and trade-in credit. Call me crazy but I don’t’ feel like retaining extended warranty and maintenance on a car that didn’t make it to its second scheduled maintenance makes any sense. Corporate has made it clear that it is up to the dealership to refund this portion of the deal. I’ll be honest in that I do not blame the dealer for the car itself as I understand I just got very unfortunate to buy a car with a defect like this. What I do blame Kia of Carson for is not responding to multiple calls and an email query through their website. I can never make it past the operator/receptionist as they say finance is not answering transfers but that they will send them an email with my info. This has happened 3 times already over several days with no response. I have also sent an email request and 2 chat sessions that have taken my info with the promise of a response that has yet to happen. Seems like a very professional way to deal customers, just ignore them.7-16-21 UPDATE!So still have not received a serious response from this dealership. Did get a call yesterday but that was from a sales rep as they mistook my finance inquiry as pertaining to a new vehicle. Told her what I needed and she said she would connect me to finance, awesome. Then she hung up with no transfer. Called back with no answer and then again. The third time she did answer and actually transfer the call. The woman who answered at finance took my info and after a few holds said I needed to talk to Chris who handles refunds and would transfer me. Surprise surprise the transfer went straight to a generic voicemail. Left my info with Kia of Carson yet again. Later I called again and asked to be connected to Chris and was again sent to a voicemail but at least it was his and once again left a call back number. Still waiting but I did get the generic response on this review. My question is who else do you want me to reach out to you Kia of Carson? Ive left multiple voicemails, emails, and chat requests. I have an idea, why dont you actually reach out to me.
I parked my car in the service line for an oil change. Thirty minutes went by no one approached me about anything. The person that had me park in that line, did not understand English,as I repeatedly ask how long it would be.And no response. The asking price for a used car was too much.I saw all spanish employees, one black when I was leaving.
I paid for a part to get installed and never called installed and I still pay for it if I don’t check for that part in my vehicle to get installed I would never would’ve found out and then I waited like three weeks for that part for them to water it in one sale right I waited like five hours yes for a piece of plastic to get installed with it took 20 minutes or less very poor customer service
Alot of bait and switching. What they say to get you in the door isnt what you will be offered once there. I bought one car from there and had a great experience with a great salesman so I thought why not for the second. The customer service I received the first time was nonexistent the second time around. Decided to go with Chevy and got a much better deal and service.
I brought my car in for service back i July 2021 and when they brought out my car it was damaged. Long story short it took untill October 4th 2021 for it to finally be fixed correctly after 4 visits trying fo pick up my car and a visit with my attorney. I do have fo say that Edward was very good at keeping communication with me too bad he was brought in after the first month and a half. Please always check your car when they bring it out to you. I was not told about it and found the damage myself while cleaning the car when it was first brought out.
What an awful experience, and my repair isn’t even over yet. I usually reserve my time to write good reviews, but today is for a really negative review…to bad I can’t give 0 stars. I have a brand new 2022 Carnival with only 900 miles on. The store manager Evan called me to inform me of a new safety recall which was really nice. On the phone he said it was a fuel issue and the van was being recalled as it could cause stalling. If you read an article about it, the carnival is actually being recalled due to a fire hazard not a stalling issue. I am taking a trip out of state with my kids using my brand new van in a few days so am scrambling to get it fixed. I tried going to a dealership closer to me but no one could get me in, and Kia of Carson was able to as they are where I got my lease from, this is the second good thing in an awful experience. I took a half day off from work on Thursday and left at 5:30am to make my 7am appointment to bring it in for the repair to find out the appointment was only an inspection appointment to determine if the van needs a repair, and not to actually fix the van. Turns out my van has the problem…of course…and they told me the part will have to be ordered and will be expedited for delivery the next day (Friday) and to bring it in on Saturday for repair. I bring it in as told to on Saturday to have an hour wait to be checked in, then proceed to wait 4 hours to be told the part isn’t actually available and I’ll have to come back. Then add another hour to get a rental and an 1.5hrs to drive home, and I just had a pointless Saturday. So now I’m stuck with a kia rental car, no van, and I still have to come back a third time for my repair. I’ve spent more time trying to get this brand new van repaired than I did in the 5 years I owned my previous used Honda Odyssey, this is stupid.
The worst Ive ever experienced being serviced at any dealership. Ive owned a Mitsubishi, a Mazda and a Dodge, and Ive always taken my cars to the dealerships. Their process is like a gas station. They dont follow their own number system and its useless having an appointment. Ive sat in the car for an hour past my appointment before even talking to a service advisor. If you have the option of going to another Kia Id go elsewhere.
I will not be returning to this dealership. First time here and last. I made a service appointment 5 days in advance. I get to my appointment and waited another 2 hours to be assisted. Finally left the dealership after 3 hours in a rental car figuring I would just come back the following day to pick up my vehicle when it would be done getting a recall fixed.I get a call at about 545 pm the same day and was told the parts they need to fix my recall were not in stock and that I would need to bring my car back in 3-5 business days. So I can wait another 2-3 hours? On top of that I will of course still need to pay for my rental for a recall they couldn’t fix. Yet the burden seems to fall on me? They couldn’t check with the parts department while I was there and say:“ hey jimmy. The fuses aren’t in stock. No point wasting your time here. Take your car home and when we have the parts in stock and we will give you a call and when you come in. Just let us know and we will take care of it ASAP. “That would have what? Taken 10-15 min?My service advisor was great and she did all she could to help me and was very patient. My complaint is about management and customer service. There is no empathy towards customers and how valuable their time is. I will be contacting Kia Consumer Relations and reporting this incident. Complete lack of understanding of customer service from this dealership.I will gladly drive further to another dealership who actually values a customers time. For the amount of foot traffic this place gets. They need to seriously reevaluate their infrastructure, logistics, as well as several other key areas including client retention and placing a higher emphasis on customer service. The fact that their entrance to the service department was never designed to handle the sheer volume of cars that show up on a daily basis is all you need to know. They could easily do this by hiring a consulting firm specializing in client satisfaction. The service department resembles more of a Zoo than anything else. What is going on with the waiting area? Talk about wasted space and not maximizing and focusing on client experience.Kia vehicles are amazing and a great value. Their cars are great. The problem is until Kia decides to address their dealer network and customer service. They will never be the “ complete “ package “ when it comes to brand recognition.Making a great car means nothing if every time afterward going into have service done on your car is an anxiety and a stress provoking experience. This dealer is one of the shadiest dealers I have ever walked in too. Their “ positive “ reviews are family member and friends of employees who are asked to post fake reviews to make it seem like this dealer is legit.6/3/2021 Update:So it’s been 2 weeks since the dealer said they would call me in 3-5 business days for the part to come in for my safety risk recall. No call from the dealer. No follow up. No email. Nothing.Expect this kind of service when you come here.Hi Kia of Carson,Owner who responded to my review. You guys actually going to call me? Or is that just some fake response to let people think you care when you really don’t? Because it’s been 3 days since you posted your response and no one has contacted me yet.
Kia of Carson seems to get a lot of good reviews so Im not claiming my experience was representative. But it wasnt good. The salesperson didnt seem to know much about the model we were looking at, couldnt obtain some of the simple information we wanted, wouldnt let us keep the leasing quote sheet he showed when we were leaving, and asked if he could take my drivers license before bringing us some basic information. (I dont think thats happened to me at a car dealership since the late 1990s.) Also, before I came for a test drive, I asked if there were any internet sales consultants and was told yeah, we have lots of those. My experience today is why I generally try to stick to communicating remotely (to avoid the sitting and waiting and Ill ask my manager and control games).
Beware this dealership does not honor services signed up for. They up sale Everything and do not honor coupons. We had a seatbelt issue and they wanted to keep charging to finally agree to cover it under warranty. They are not helpful and only try to SELL SELL SELL . we had a coupon for synthetic oil change for $79.95 they said they didnt have that oil and charged us $90. When we checked synthetic was used. They also charged for tire rotation which the coupon says included. The total came out to $125 which sould have only been $79.95. We will try Cerritos next time. Everyone AVOID kia Carson if you dont want to be taken advantage of!!!!!!!
Terrible experience! Long story short... Took my car in to check why its stalling & ticking noise coming from the engine. The service advisor told me the gas Im using may be the reason, which is ridiculous. Was told I couldnt get a rental so I postponed the diagnostic. Not a week later I get a recall notice in the mail detailing the EXACT reason I came in last week also stating the car has a risk of catching on fire if not fixed. Was given a rental this time was told I was given a full tank but was actually given a 1/4 tank of gas & I brought it back at 1/2 tank. Tried to say I burned 1/2 tank of gas in less than 24hrs with 40 miles driven on a Forte. Common sense shouldve told them that was impossible. Probably going to start going to a different location for my service needs.
Service depart truly lacks in customer service, communication and attention to detail. Dont waste your time coming here. I brought my car to be inspected for a strange noise. Only for them NOT to follow up at the time they said they would to give me an update. I had to play phone tag with the service department, after being transferred to the wrong department and hung up on a few times. I was finally able to speak to my service advisor only Brandy Torres only to be informed that it was raining and they are not able to hear the noise I was concerned about. Advised me my car was ready to be picked up, but to bring it back when its not raining to be reinspected. I asked for a manager because this was ridiculous, it was raining when I brought my car to begin with, why not reschedule my appointment all together, incompetent. Of course no one reached to me. I had to follow up again. This department truly lacks good management, and they are extremely unorganized.
Awful Service will never ever recommend anyone to come into this dealer or any kia Dealer they dont value you as a customer nor do they value the money you spend. Look at there lot its full of cars in a time where all dealers have no vehicles. Noone wants to purchase them they are cheap and easy to steal. Please i beg you dont go and get ripped off like i was. They Didnt even tell me thank you for your time or money when i returned them the vehicle they just wanted to get rid of me. I will never ever recommend a kia.
Nothing against the service staff, the guy who helped me was very nice. But it took 30 minutes for someone to come to my car and it’s a 3+ hour wait for basic oil change service on a Wednesday, and there is absolutely nothing around this location. They don’t have coffee or water (covid precaution I guess) and a guy told me the only place in walking distance is Jack in the Box. Came here instead of downtown because the wait there is also crazy but obviously didn’t make much difference. Spacious waiting area is the only good thing. Wouldn’t recommend it but if you get a Kia do not pay for their service package, just get oil changes every 6 months to keep the warranty valid and save hours of your life!Update: takes forever to get your car after you pay and they tried to overcharge me (they said I needed some fluid replaced that wasn’t included in my prepaid service plan). The guy who helped me was at lunch, so they took off some and I ended up paying $10 more than quoted just to get out of there after 4 hours.
I came to service my telluride. I made an appointment at 11am and after 5 hours they still have not finished with my vehicle. Keep in mind i MADE AN APPOINTMENT!!! I am obviously irritated that they are taking this long for an oil change tire rotation and alignment.Unbelievable! Who knows how much longer i will be here
Caleb was very nice and helpful and went above and beyond to help see colors in different lighting. We talked to Andy about the numbers and he was amazing to work with. He was incredibly knowledgeable and explained everything very well, and re-explained things that we didnt really understand. He took his time with us but was also pretty quick to get us info and answers we needed. He ofcourse wanted to make the sale that exact day, but he was very understanding when we explained that we werent ready to buy that exact moment. He continued to help us and go through everything with us and gave us an incredible price to come back to him with when we were ready. Very excited to work with him soon once we sell our current vehicle.
These people are liars and have HORRIBLE customer service. My car has been at Kia of Carson for almost one month. I’ve been calling up there to get answers ABOUT AN ENGINE THAT THEY PUT IN, and I took it too them to get it serviced on JULY 28th 2021. I just got my oil changed by them and my mileage was under so they can’t fault me for that. Long story short they still have no answers for me about my car. I was using their rental that I returned back to them, yet they still have my car in their lot with no answers. Eric is horrible as well. He doesn’t know anything that’s going on around there. When I got to Kia about 3 weeks ago he didn’t even know where my car was. Don’t trust these people because they aren’t helpful at all! Wouldn’t recommend them to ANYONE! They give people the run around and their customer service is HORRIBLE!Oh btw I got my answer they are trying to make me pay for a engine that THEY put in trying to say they used a THIRD PARTY.. which I knew NOTHING about and also they tried telling me that I got a engine for 5,525 that was only a 90day warranty! They are scammers! Do not go here!
I visit here one day for car services there was a long line that you had to wait I had a 7:30 appointment and they didnt see me until about 9:30 or 10 so we still waited got my car serviced left proximally 12:31 got on the street and one of the rubbers around the the light it wasnt pushed down good so start slapping up under my hood and scared us to death and I have to stop inside the road and with my daughter and I try to fix it enough to keep it down call Tia they said bring it back in but you going to be here a long time and Im like why you need to check it cuz you finished it to work and I made an appointment to go back that Monday got down that Monday you still have to wait I think they organized their system and how they receive customers based on appointments and be a little more positive about it because the customers already frustrated that I had to make two trips to Carson
It took 4 hours to purchase my lease car. Longer than any car I have ever purchased. They changed me for the bumper to bumper warranty when we told them no and services that were not rendered. Had us electronically signed before reviewing contract. If we had not stopped and read contract we would not have found $4200.00 over charged. We will not recommend them or go back.
Kia of Carson doesnt list accurate prices online, despite MSRP listing online they are asking for $6k over MSRP as one example. Margins are high enough at MSRP yet dealers are attempting to double dip on consumers, sad to see the continued loss of integrity in the marketplace.
If I could give a ZERO star rating, I would! I have never left so many messages that weren’t returned or been hung up on while being transferred so many times. My van door wasn’t locking. The part was $186 and labor was $700. I absolutely understand that labor is more than the part but I looked up how to do the repair online and it doesn’t seem to be too difficult. Certainly not hard enough to charge $700.
The service department does not answer the phone - Ive tried multiple times, multiple days, nor does the rental department. My car is being fixed for catastrophic failure. I wanted to talk to them before I had it towed in, and had to get a ride there because they dont pick up the phone. Only to find they cant provide me a rental to get back home until the car is towed there, which I would have know if they pick up the phone. Very frustrating. Also, theyre supposed to give me a rental which is proving to be very difficult.. I dont think Ill buy another Kia, the service afterwards is terrible.
I went in to buy a car had money for the down payment and was going to trade in my car. Carmax had offer me $1995. I wasnt expecting to get this much here at first they offer me 500 for the trade in l was offended and try to walk away but then Danny offer me $1500 l said l could do that. They gave me the payment that l wanted and everything seem to be ok l was in a hurry and didnt read the contract. Days later l found out that some how Allen the sales manager had only approved $900 trade in but Danny failed to tell me that. I have gone 3 times back to the dealership to get clarification on this issue no luck. In part is my fault for not reading the contract but they also made promises that didnt deliver. Dont go here but if you do dont make the same mistake that l made.
Im sick and tired of this place! Ive been getting the runaround about my engine since November 2020 it is nowJune 2021 and they are still running test on it. Ive been calling for 2 days to get a simple update on my car and have not got a call back to let me know if it have even been looked at even though each time I called I was told it would be escalated to a manager. I been going to them since 2015 my experience was great until about 2 years ago, when I believe Trophy took over. Once I get my car back im never going back.
Just had an appointment to get a recall taken care of on my Kia. Set the appointment up last week and came in apparently the don’t have parts for recall. The service advisor knew I was coming in for the recall, but did not ensure the part was available. They could have done one of several things to ensure satisfaction1. Ensure parts are there for the customer who made the appointment2. Just have extra parts it is a recall3. Or if not parts available make a phone call letting me know that no need to come in today because every have no parts.I wasted my money, time and effort that could be given to others.I also had trouble when I looking to buy a Kia. I ended up going to a different dealership.I don’t recommend them for any type of business
The sales department is nice, the finance department sketchy, the service department a pain in the a** and everything you try to call about something expect to take hour just to get through to someone, their phones have been having issues for years. And corporate cant and wont do any thing about it. Basically go there, buy a nice car and pray you never have to deal with them again or you are in for a world or frustration and I am usually a very chill person
From the moment I first reached out to Dame Morales he was definitely eager to help! I had an amazing, quick experience with him. Dame was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I love my 2020 Kia Optima and was offered the best deal. Thank you for a great experience from start to finish. I would def recommend to friends and family.
I bought A 2018 Kia forte On June 14th a couple days later I found out the Bluetooth didnt work a couple days later after that the car wouldnt start. I was told to take the car to get it serviced. The adviser I spoke with I told him the Car didnt start and it was making a weird noise when I turned off the engine . He told me that the noises were all normal for that kind of car and he asked what kind of gas I put in the car and I told Kia put the gas. So the car was never serviced because he said the car was fine they kept the car for over 5 and a 1/2 hours to tell me that the Bluetooth I need a new radio unit. Mind you this was all in a week feom car purchase . I spoke to the salesman who helped me and told him And I was upset and I just wanted a different car he told me to come in and see what we can do to try to get me into a new car that worked . I went in spoke to a different salesman because the original one was not there and the only way they would take the car back is if I traded it in for obviously a lower price. I said this was not my fault you guys told me a bad car its only been a week . It was a lot of back-and-forth then they tried to get me into a brand new car which I actually thought about. So so I would have to fork out another 5000 to $10000 For their mistake. The other option I was told that I can have a service no charge and if I really didnt want the car I can take it to carmax and they will give me the highest price possible around which I looked into 13600 but I would still be out of money . I end up agreeing to take the car to be serviced 2 days later in a row the car doesnt start and I talk to general manager and he basically said sometimes these things happen and I told him thats not right I felt like I was taking advantage of you took my money and now Im stuck with a car that is not reliable I have a job have a son . So basically Im getting the car serviced tomorrow which leading all these reviews kind of nervous because I made an appointment for 7:00 a.m. And Im not sure its gonna work out well. Also I was wiping down the car and I find out my gas door does not open there is a latch and I pulled it up and nothing happened then I went to push it open And nothing happened I message the salesman who helped me because he said he filled it up with gas and I questioned him how he did it and he said he is pretty sure it pushed open and I said no there is a lever and doesnt work. Luckily it still has gas. I have already contacted a few lawyers and Im going to call corporate tomorrow because this is ridiculous its been 12 days and this is what I end up with. When I spoke to the general manager and one of the salesman I told him after this experience I never want to buy a car again this was a horrible experience and I have enough to deal with outside of this car issue. They are not willing to do anything but make money oh and on top of that they run my credit twice and told me that I did not have a credit score I called one of the credit unions and they told me that my credit score is fine it is the way they are running it which if you dont have a credit score you gotta pay cash. My mistake is I shouldve went with my gut.
Do not buy from this place! My vehicle has been in the Kia of Carson shop for 3 weeks. Very difficult to get anyone on the phone. Kia Consumer line tells you that they are a separate company from Kia of Carson. I purchased it used from Kia of Carson 2 years ago. A 2016 model that has major issues. Buyer Beware! Also, read the rest of the reviews. Many people list the same experience Ive had. No answer at service. Cant get anyone on the phone. GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT THIS PLACEUPDATE: I called for 4 hours today to talk with someone about where to send the tow truck and who to send the rental car receipt to. I was transferred around, hung up on and told there is no one available right now. I decided to drive there and deal with them in person. when I walked up to my vehicle being kept in the back lot with the other service vehicles the hood is unlocked for anyone to get into and mess with the engine. This is how they keep all their service vehicles. I had it towed to a shop I trust. Will NEVER buy another kia again!Update, picked my van up from the garage I had it towed to from Kia. The shop fixed it for under $500. The part was $89. Kia wanted to charge me over $1k. Kia of Carson is ripping people off.UPDATE: After getting my van back the check engine light came on. Turns out, now its the catalytic converter. I had to take it back to Kia because they do warranty the item. Beware of the wait times they tell you on the phone vs when you actually get there. They will tell you it will only take 1 1/2 hours but when you get there they will look at you like that is not even close and then say it will take 4-5 hours. You can tell the people that work there are used to saying they apologize because they say it with no emotion or sincerity. Am I glad they are warrantying the item? Yes. but this has been the worst customer service I have ever had.
What a disappointment of a dealership this place was. After finding the exact vehicle i was looking and seeing the price they have advertised online, I went in ready to purchase the vehicle, a 2021 Sorrento X-line. After test driving and running credit , Im kept waiting for over an hour for a managers meeting to conclude so that the manager can decide on how bad to make the deal. So after waiting Im told that there a $5000 premium on that particular model and that is not negotiable. I told them that is ridiculous and they should honor the price they have on their website, which as I currently write this it is still the same price. Im told sorry that is the price and I would not be able to find that vehicle in California for below that price. I got up and walked out. I called Huntington Beach Kia from the parking lot who had the same model in stock, and I drove down the street and paid sticker price. I never pay sticker price for cars, but with covid and the high demand for this particular vehicle I understand no wiggle room. IF YOU ARE GOING TO CHARGE OUTRAGEOUS PREMIUMS OVER STICKER YOU SHOULD MAKE THAT CLEAR ON YOUR WEBSITE, SO YOU DONT WASTE PEOPLES TIME.
Rarou, Alex, & Ali were phenomenal during our car-buying experience. They were professional, patient, efficient, kind, caring, honest, and courteous. We didnt feel any pressure, and thats refreshing.Because this was my sons first-time purchasing a vehicle, he had questions and slightly nervous, but they walked him through the process, leaving him confident & content with his purchase. So, Ill be returning for future purchases.Nevertheless, please stop by Kia of Carson and see these gentlemen, and I am confident that you wont regret it.
Internet sales told me to come in for a vehicle at a set asking price over a phone call and texts. Came in person, the number shot up by a few thousand with the sales representative saying Theres nothing we can do with price until the car is here. Would not come here unless you have time to waste.
The service department is an absolute joke. No one cares about you after youve paid them and left the premises. I was told Id be contacted when the part for my car came in. It was over a month so I decided to call and check in. Ive called 6 times. The service dept never answers the phone. I left messages with the operator and no one has ever called me back. If they transfer you, the phone rings of the hook until youre disconnected. I asked if the operator could send someone to the service department to get a rep on the phone. She said she wouldnt be able to do that. Come on, the building is maybe 200 feet from one end to the other. What a bunch of lazy, unprofessional, inconsiderate people. Time to take my business elsewhere.
Bought a Kia Soul from Kia of Carson and had a really good experience. Richard got me a great price and guided me thru. He has a great attitude, was helpful, energetic and made buying a car as smooth and easy as possible. its always nervous time spending that much money. He even snapped a pic for me of me and the car before i drove off . Thanks Richard and Kia of Carson
Worse service I have ever received! From arrival you can tell how unorganized they are!My appointment was at 11:30, I arrived at 11:20 and was not greeted and helped until 11:50. I was already by then regretting my choice of coming here instead of Alhambra, where I usually go, but it’s 22 miles from my home. The service advisor said it would take 2 1/2 hours to 3. I texted for an update at 3:10 and he said it would just be a few minutes. Well a few minutes turned in to an hour in a half! My car had been ready and NO BODY, not even the cashiers that were just sitting there with a pile of invoices had the courtesy to let me know my vehicle was ready. Then when I asked the cashier if my car was ready he couldn’t even answer my questioned and said someone could help me outside. I believe in team work and when a customer is asking for an update anyone should be able to help the customer or offer to get them an answer. Honestly, NEVER coming back. I wasn’t the only one with a horrible experience, this other customer said his car had been ready for two hours, but also no one had told him. I always recommend Kia as a dealership because I have always received nothing, but Stellar service, however, Kia of Carson falls short. Try Kia of Alhambra! Worth the drive, and they will explain the process and give you personal updates!
I would highly recommend if interested in purchasing a car to get it from Kia of Carson. Ask for Prince, he was an amazing sales associate. He was trustworthy and went above beyond for my sons first car purchase. Allen the manager and Ammer, the finance manager were also very helpful and easy to work with. Call Prince as he will make sure that you get a great deal!!!!
I Had an appointment. But still stayed in a long line of cars for over an hour to turn in car. Made me late for work even though I have myself a big buffer. Why take appointments if wait is soooooo long to drop off car. Suggestion. Have appointment lines separate from walk-ins
Took my 2017 Kia Optima Plug-in Hyrbid here on my day off. Was told the reason for my oil pressure and check engine lights coming on my dashboard were related to a recall. Theyre not doing shuttle services so after spending $42 on Uber, I pick up my car 7 hours later. 2 minutes after driving off, the lights come on again.I was told that they are not able to help because its an intermittent issue and the dashboard lights werent on at the time that they worked on it. I asked why they didnt tell me that from the beginning so I could know what I was getting myself into. No one is willing to be accountable for this. They kept making excuses. I repeatedly asked why the expectation was not set that it is not feasible for them to fix this issue without the light on. How is it possible that I have to continue to drive with this issue happening on and off, unable to get help from the dealership unless it exactly happens under very different, non-driving conditions? They are also not willing to compensate for the Uber fares. They are simply asking me to bring the vehicle back so the same thing can repeat all over again and I can spend even more on rideshare. Ridiculous.I was also told that this will not be covered under warranty unless the lights appear when theyre looking at. I have no idea whether this is a real condition or a faulty sensor or what.
Very disappointed came in to get my car serviced on Thursday and came back to my vehicle being damaged . Someone hit my car and when i came for it they brought it out wrecked. Bumper off and scratches all along the left back bumper. The manager had the never to snap it in and say bring it back Monday at 7am if it falls off dont worry we will fix it. We will also have a vehicle ready for you and we will repair it the whole bumper.i asked to see cameras and 5 point inspection and he refused and said the tech wouldnt be in till Monday and it is harder than that. We need to wait. It is now Monday here at 7am no managers om site and the service manager that told us to be here is mot here and doesnt come in to 11am. So disappointed and I will be waiting for someone.
Don’t bother shopping at this location, after purchase they abandoned any questions you might have. They are awesome contacting you to enter the store but not after. Also I went to get an oil change and the service rep (not at Kia Carson) showed me how dark the oil was and was long over due then had to replace the air filter and it looked like it was never replaced. Don’t purchase from this location if your okay With paying out of pocket to get the vehicles serviced.
I would give this place ZERO stars if it was possible...Service center is TERRIBLE with communication! Very hard to get in touch with your service advisor! Never calls you about the status of your car, Ive had to call them all day just to find out that they dont even have the part to fix my car and itll take TWO DAYS to get SHOCKS??? Theyve had my car for the last 8 hours and now it had to stay overnight because theyre not prepared. I have an extended warranty plan and they cant provide them with the info they needed in 6 hours to find out whether its covered??? Wasting my time, I will not be getting my car serviced here anymore. The previous time I took my car for a recall and it was the same situation. TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION!!!
Had to follow my Boo to get her car serviced. KIA has really nice cars. But for some reason 🤔 they dont put power seats in their cars. Huh? This is 2021. Cmon KIA get with the program. Otherwise ima tell my Boo to buy from somewhere else next time around. She has a 2019 TELLURIDE. Most expensive car on the lot. No power seats. Pitiful! Great drive though 😉
I did not interact with the sales department.Service Dept: I had an appointment at 12:45 to drop my car off, I showed up 15 minutes early and waited until 1:30 for the first person to help me. I even informed them multiple times that I had an appointment earlier and they assured me someone would be with me soon to help me (soon I guess is 45 minutes). They then told me they needed to keep the car overnight and would give me a call before 11am with the status of the vehicle. at 11:15 I called service department and they said no problem let me transfer you rep; and they hung up on me. I called back a 2nd time and they told me they still didnt have the status of my car ready. Will update as my proccess goes further.
Came to Carson after having horrible experiences at Garden Grove. My first few experiences in Carson was phenomenal. On 7/7/21 the nightmare began, I got a service coordinator that was transferred from Garden Grove. Poor poor customer service. Spoke to supervisor who made excuses that he is new to Carson. Carson please do better, or you will lose a customer.
Eddie Lopez is the guy to see! Extremely nice, friendly, helpful, honest and professional. The waiting area is the cleanest place ever. The weekends are really busy so best practice is t I go during the week when they open. I usually get there by 6:15 - 6:30am as the line gets long. They have a good system that works so depending in what youre having done you may get in and out.
I am an essential worker, deal with public everyday. I made an appt. for a recall on fuel line on 7 17 2020,service done in about 2 hrs, was told not a problem with my vehicle. Drove off with gas smell that was not there before, thinking some was wasted, finally didnt go away, returned for service on 8/30/2020. Left my vehicle there, understood, service was limited, to be diagnostic Monday. Advisor said they would call Monday, didnt hear from them, called, they called back stating it was a recall problem. Bottom line, didnt offer loaner, had to rent on my on, no estimate on how long repair. Still no call back. Im done with kia
Today I went in for a regular oil change and since Im use to going there I know its 1 1/2 hours but I also needed my brakes light to be checked out. The guy Eddie Lopez said its usually not the breaks but if they check it would be another hour I said fine. So I waited from 10 am - 2 pm and no one came to tell me anything I walked over to the counter and asked what was going on he said oh let me check after a minute he explained that the breaks didnt need immediate replacing but it would be recommended and wanted me to stay there longer. I told him its ok I had to be somewhere @ 2 pm so I was already late. I asked for my car and he said ok let me get it for you. An hour went by and nothing so I went back, them he said oh let me process your paperwork then. Well I guess he thought my car was dirty cause he wrote on there wash which I never do because that takes longer. Today was the worst service ever and I have been a customer with Kia for 6 yrs and this had never ever happened to me. I will never get that rep. Eddie Lopez I was super upset. Other than that I like Kia and will continue my business with them but just not that sales associate
Kudos to Rudy Padilla, Eric the Service Manager and The General Manager over at Kia of Carson for being accommodating in comping rental and giving a reduction in repair cost after my repair taking 4 days to complete.A bit of advice, if you are getting service(s) outside of brakes and oil changes. follow up immediately with the parts department after receiving the work order that tells you what parts your car will need. If their parts department doesnt have the part on hand I very highly suggest you IMMEDIATLEY start calling around to the other dealerships to see if they have it. Go get it yourself IMMEDIATELY. After you bring it back to Kia Carson make sure to follow up in person with your service advisor. kia of carson is very busy and dont do a good job of keeping you informed on the status of your car if has to be there for more than one day.other than that - they did take care of me as I stated above. Even though I was very upset about having to go get the part myself because it wasnt going to arrive for 3 days after my car already being there almost 3 days - The staff as a whole was accommodating and empathetic.oh yeah maker sure your car is still under warranty - that question was asked a lot - whether or not my vehicle was still under warranty.Thank you for reading.
Took my 2012 kia sportage for a ECU update recall and a oil pan leak recall only the ECU update was done due to parts not in stock. I agreed to bring vehicle back when parts arrived. When my car was driven out for me I noticed the engine check light on went back to service advisor and was told to leave vehicle so that it can be inspected. I Received a call the following day was told that the engine check light is reading a default in inlet manifold and that was not triggered by anything they did it must have been a coincident that the light turn on while vehicle was there. They quoted me $1,300 for repairs I will be taking my vehicle elsewhere for inspection and repairs if needed. I dont understand how this could have happened and how they are dismissing it as not their problem. I left my vehicle to have the OIL pan recall finished, but I am not going back there. Took me hours and endless emails and voicemail to get in contact with advisor.
So here is an update. I dont know how they do it. Wow! Im so, impressed. I went last Saturday (yes, what was I thinking?) and it was yes, off the charts busy but....organized! So, this may be weird for some but I rather an organized wait than a mess. Kia of Carson 💯 organized and on point. Yes, did I order Starbucks from UberEats while sitting in my car (bigups to my UberEats driver, Charles btw!!) because it was about an hour and half wait but again easy and organized and I got to have breakfast listening to Joyce Meyers in peace! And the silly me got to understand that I dont need the sticker anymore because the awesome sauce technicians set it my dash and it alerts me when my car needs a service - sorry yall for the misunderstanding below I didnt know yall set it up on the dash my complete bad! Thank you everyone at Kia Carson Service!!!.It was ok. I requested service for a recall on my car but due to the time they were unable to do it. Not the fault of the service department but the fault of the IT department that runs the website. It is very easy to state on the website that some services may not be available after whatever time the technician will not be there that does the work. Also, the shuttle stops at a certain time so your kind of stuck if you schedule after 3pm so bring yourself something for nourishment or be prepared to order delivery. Normally they put a sticker on the driver side to state next service date / mileage I didnt get that. Also, usually the person comes to me and explains whats going on with the car particularly the inspection no, they just called me and asked if I wanted to speak to someone but it would be a minute. I get it I wanted to leave too I was tired and hungry so I guess the person that was supposed to speak to me felt the same way. Oh well so much for a late appointment. Next time Ill just do what I have to do to get my complete service next time...there are other Kia service centers.
Never, I repeat never purchase a used car from the place! Incompetence from the sales rep, dmv clerk and even the general manager! The registration was never processed since they overlooked getting the SMOG for the vehicle back in January. They tell us we will have the registration soon. This was in January and still no registration. DMV can’t give us the tags since entry never received the transfer of ownership, and this dealership says they can’t do anything and just continue to ignore our inquiries since January. Meanwhile my 17 year old son is driving around with expired tags! Incompetence at its finest! I mean if your GM is incompetent what can you expect from his staff! Figure it out morons!!!! Idiots all of you!
Go holler at Matt Varela!! He got me a good deal on my 21 Kia Forte GT!! He had my car ready and everything was super quick!! Nicest person in that WHOLE dealership! I had the BEST experience buying my FIRST CAR with Matt and I would recommend HIM to any and EVERYONE!
I bought brand new 2020 Kia Forte. I was overcharged extremely. I have to take some blame because the sales rep told me one price but in room with finance mgr, it changed. I didnt realize it till after I signed contract. I did mention it to finance mgr after the original contract didnt go thru with finance company, and I had to go in to redo contract. but it was too late and the sale rep didnt remember offering me the lower price that he stated..go figure. I was naive about the price, and realized I was way overcharged for my car after the process. Anyway, I did get 0.9% APR which they originally told me 0% APR, but signing contract to overpriced car I ended up paying the price of 28K for a 2020 Kia Forte which is ridiculous, and its not fully loaded. Anyway lesson learned if they can get you they will. They didnt have to sell me the car so expensive but if the opportunity was there why not overcharge. #KARMA
Disappointing experience from the moment I walked on the lot. I scheduled an appointment to come in and check out a used car. As I approached the doors I was hounded down by a salesperson inquiring about why I was there. I tried to let them know I had called to make an appointment, but was repeatedly interrupted and talked over. Finally got to see the car, which was a 13 rav 4 listed for nearly 15k before taxes and fees. The price on the car was high so I tried negotiating early on. Test drive was short and for some reason the sales person went along with me, which I wasn’t expecting since all other dealerships I’ve been to allow you to test drive alone as a covid precaution. Needless to say, this made me a bit uncomfortable. To top it off the sales person made a comment about my appearance, saying something to the effect of “You seem beautiful”. Completely unprofessional! I was there to BUY A CAR not chit chat and get flattered. After my three minute test drive, which I was eager to be done with, we went back in to talk numbers. I let the sales person know my terms and what price I was aiming for. I was repeatedly interrupted, talked over and ignored. After an hour of sitting alone at a desk waiting for some numbers from financing I was told the price is non negotiable, which is something they could have told me when I first inquired about it. Huge waste of my time. I’m a young woman shopping for a car by myself , but I’m not clueless or easily manipulated. Most dealerships don’t take me seriously, but this was by far the worst I’ve been treated since I started the nightmare that is car shopping. Save yourself a couple hours and steer clear of this hellscape.
Service advisor Louie Ramos went above and beyond to try to get my vehicle serviced and out of the service pay on time even when there was a back up. He even washed my car! Definitely satisfied and really made a huge impression on me. Thank you for the great service 😊
If youre a fan of not getting straight answers, Kia of Carson is right for you. A simple online request for a quote on a specific stock was met with multiple emails never providing actual pricing. 9.5% tax plus freight? Well youre saying its the MSRP that was shown on the website? Oh no, I had to explicitly state it was odd there was no market adjustment. A follow-up revealed yes, all dealerships in CA have market adjustments. Well, just say so and provide the final price. Why mess around when Im clearly not the ignorant customer youre looking to pull down to your dealership in Carson? Thanks for nothing Evan Goldenberg!
Writing this as I sit here waiting for my car to be serviced...but, I purchased my car Dec 26, today is March 6 and I am still owed the spare key! This is the 3rd time coming to try and get it. 1st time, they couldnt find it, 2nd time their network was down and couldnt do it, mind you my appointment was at 10am and they knew their network was down and didnt bother calling. Now I get here with an appointment again and told it will take like 4 hours, ugh. This is ridiculous!!
Honestly- it was a real bummer to make an appt to fix recalls to my telluride.......wait 1 hour just to simply drop it off then receive a call the next day that the parts needed to be ordered for the recall fixes. They knew my car was coming in, they knew the recalls that were being fixed, they knew the parts they needed to fix my car.........yet they still had to order them. They called me 4 days later to ask me to bring my car back in! I like about 15 miles from the dealership and only have one car so it’s not that easy to bring a car for service 2 times in one week. I NEVER had this issue with Toyota. They always had the parts in. Otherwise, I like the text message service they provide to check on the status of the car.
I am very happy with the car and price I got from this dealership, but the protection package offered in their lease is a waste of money. It offers nothing extra over Kias regular warranty, and the wording is very misleading. As far as service goes, if you can avoid going here please do. Dishonest and misleading. But Im happy with my Stinger so I cant complain too much.
Im hoping that if I write my concern here someone from KIA will respond with some positive feedback ....but let me just say this customer service is number 1 in any business! From greeting with a smile , to answering phones, even putting people on hold and them accidentally hanging up on them and having to call back more with an attitude and they think Im just being rude for no reason.....around and around we go yes I am not a satisfied customer because of these issues....it seems that they are friendly when they meet you but once you sign your life over to them ....all the kindness is out the window....I mean I dont care if I called about something small....can YALL speak to me with the same attitude when we signed that contract....just frustrating to know how some businesses are ran and nothing is being done....or not unless these are how all car salesman are???....I guess this is what we are going to have to deal with for awhile....
I have been wanting a hybrid car for a long time already and I finally bought my first one at Kia of Carson two weeks ago. My salesman, James Henry, the only salesman there with two first names, was very accommodating and helpful. He was so easy to work with and really nice, compared to the other salesman you normally find working in the car business.Im very happy with my new car as well as the experience of buying from this location. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a Kia, whether it is a sedan, SUV, or a hybrid. Ask for James Henry the next time youre wanting to get a car from this location. I promise you will not be disappointed!
From Stephanie at Reception who was very hospitable, to Alan, Manager, to Rarou, our Sales Rep (special thanks for your patience), to Adam in Finance...WOW!! We felt cared for, understood, and appreciated. Thank you cannot say enough for helping us get our one of a kind KIA Soul. We love it. Kyle and Cathy from Burbank, Calufornia
I helped by a service advisor, Cooper Lopez and he was really great and efficient with all the help he provided. My car was ready on time as promised and also kept updating me on the status of the vehicle. I would be coming back to this location even more due to the wonderful help. Cooper was really friendly and assured my car would be in great hands.
Didn’t purchase a car there but I had a really amazing experience with James Henry test driving there. He is super patient and knowledgeable and not pushy at all! Literally a car salesman who’s not pushy?! Is this even true? It’s does exist! And most of all he was honest. I definitely recommend him if you’re in the market!
Terrible service experience and overall customer service. Bought a brand new telluride 2 weeks ago and it is already in for repairs. No one has returned my calls today for an update or answered the phone for over an hour at the repair desk. When someone finally answered I was transferred to no one. Called back and was then told the manager was busy and no one else was there. This was at 5:30. Shop closes at 7:00.
I was very excited to get to KIA Carson, is the city where I live.I approach to a salesman I am interested in purchase a B New Telluride. He started to show me a pre-owned. I ask to see a new one 2021. He told me to go to another section walk distance which I did, while walk He stop with anoher Father and Son I arrived to the Telluride section, but He salesman forgot about me...I looked the nice Telluride different models, but no one to open one of them to cheking them inside. On my way back to my car the same salesperson which at that point the other persons left. Salesperson approached to me and ask me if I was interested in one of the Tellurride. I just said no thanks.I lied, but I felt that I was not important person to buy a BNew Car.Eventhough He asked me if I wanted to trade my nice VW. I said no I loved my VW.Any ways I like the Telluride and I might go back to same KIA, but different day and I will start all paper work on line and same for finance. I will look for different salesman!..Sad...Is no the 1st time buy new cars and I had done it at kia before!!!.
My sister in law took her car to have service done about 5 months ago. When she picked up her car she noticed the change in her center console was gone. She didnt say anything not knowing if maybe her kids took it out. Last week she took her car in again and the change was gone again. This time when she dropped it off she made sure the change was there. She had been doing laundry earlier and had a bunch of quarters. So on 2 separate visits the change was stolen from her car. Might want to make sure you have no money or anything of value in your car if you take to Kia of Carson for service. Might not be there when you get your car back.
If your here to get a oil change, don’t waste your time. You will come early in the morning and they will delay because they are standing around chatting and talking to each other instead of delivering customer service. I also i called in the morning for customer service and the guy hanged up on me and never called back.
After a phone call from kia , I was notified of a part recall and was asked to make an appointment, went to kia service and waited 3 hours to be told the part was not in stock !!???? Had to go back and wait another 4 hours for the repair , in addition they wanted 85 dollars for windshield wiper replacement , I declined . My time is valuable to me and kia doesnt get it ! It seems to me their service is to p#ss off their customers !!

2022-02-12We had a super positive experience working with Isaiah Price. In a crazy car market, he was personable and respectful and guided us through the process over the phone and in person. We actually flew in from out of town just because the experience was so great. Couldnt be happier with the process. Eric from financing was also great!

2022-05-14My review is for Frank! Thank you a million times over! He was so helpful, patient and so sweet!! I had been looking for a car for almost a year and I finally found something I loved! He got me a good deal and helped me as much as he could to work with my budget. He was very caring and always updated me on potential options for the vehicle I was looking for which I really appreciated! Process was made very quick and easy and I’m so happy I found him! Thank you for my new K5!! I love it :))

2022-06-15It was the nicest experience and most flawless operation I could have hoped for as a first-time buyer in this market. In the decision-making and purchasing process, Hart was professional and competent. Im extremely smitten with my new car. This is a place you should visit. 100% satisfaction guaranteed!

2021-12-09Their service department took all weekend then till Thursday afternoon to tell us what was wrong with our car and wanted to charge $3500 and said that might not even be the problem! We are going somewhere else after paying $200 and 4 days loss of work for a diagnosis! Don’t come here, go to California Carburator for honest work in a timely manner!!!

2022-07-01If you will buy a car in this time, please be prepared and educate yourself before to stop in a dealership, the market is not in buyers favor. Here, I have to say, JP Ramirez was fair and upfront, and buyers like me, appreciate that. The finance lady (forgot her name) was very respectful and she didnt asked me for any additional product, also she got reduced a little bit my APR, and I didnt even asked for. I dont give 5 stars, because I couldnt get the deal I wanted in a KIA Forte G, but I guess you cant win everything. In 3 years I will come back to get me an EV, and I will look for JP. Today you won a customer that left Toyota after 15 years for their none sense charges in this time.

2022-05-25This is by far the WORST Kia dealership ever. Literally from every step of the way, from purchasing a used car to service, every experience has been a disappointment, its actually quite incredible. From buying my used car with a broken navigation chip, it took 6 months and literally hours of phone calls to get it. They threw me from employee to employee. Fast forward to today, just an oil change took 2.5 hours. When it was ready for pickup, they kept me waiting in the sun for 25 min while they delivered others people car before me, who got there way after me. Complete disorganization, RUDE customer service. They even took a free oil change away from me because of their system. im telling you, the worst! Stay away! It’s not worth it to risk your emotional/mental health dealing with these people!

2022-01-21I just waited over 2 hours for a scheduled oil change, lost $3 to a malfunctioning vending machine, and received an attitude (which I sure hope that I am wrong about) from a cashier when I asked for my keychain back. The service advisor was cool, but my overall experience at this dealership was absolute trash today. It was unclear whether or not my car had even been serviced, given that I had to ask a porter regarding its status.

2022-05-27I purchased my car at the Cerritos location but have been nothing rude and unprofessional. So I went here. I got an appointment for the next day, they have amazingly kind and helpful. Not only has the service department been great but all the staff as well. Due to the massive issue my wait was over 5 hrs for my car but when ever I asked anything of the staff they were more then welling to help. One person went as far as watching my stuff while I used the restroom. I love this location and will definitely be returning.

2022-06-18I visited Kia of Carson and was satisfied with the service. Hart got me a wonderful deal and walked me through the process. He had a wonderful attitude, was really helpful and energetic, and made the process of purchasing a vehicle as simple as possible. Spending that much money is always nerve-wracking. Before I drove away, he even took a picture of me and the car for me. Thank you, Carsons Hart and Kia.

2022-03-02They have no concern about you coming here after you have made an appointment. You will go here and you wont get your rude worked on. And will be told you have to come back. They do not prepare for you. Your part wont be there but you will get your time waisted by having your vehicle gone over for no reason. But they will tell you. We have to check out you vehicle to make sure we can do the work they wont see if they have your part but will waist your time. Easily
