Very rude customer service, and my husband killed three roaches in the room. Theyre undergoing renovations, so the rooms look nice, but Im uncertain about the cleanliness. When I shared with the very rude front desk attendant, she did not apologize but just thanked me and sent me on my way. This was after she told me my husband was rude because he was unable to check-in to the hotel without me being present. I understand thats their policy, but he was voicing frustration since they do not allow check-in until 5pm and there was no information communicating this policy. I attempted to call 3 times to find out if he could check in and was rudely put on hold all 3 times and disconnected the first 2. By the time I finally got through to the same rude front desk attendant, my husband was already there hoping to be able to check-in from the wedding he left distinctly to do so. At any rate, I understand that was not their fault in any way. They can, however, control the way the customer-facing individuals speak to their guests. As someone who has traveled for work for years, I was shocked at the experience and wouldnt recommend anyone book here if they care to be treated kindly (especially as a guest paying to stay at the establishment).
This place is really NOT great. The room was stuck in the bad 1980s, and the counter surfaces were grimy and NOT clean. The front desk area looks like a storage unit for goods. We got the feeling that the hotel was being used to house the homeless as there were children running around all over the place, and down the hallways at 3:00 a.m. It is noisy, and it is the only hotel I have ever been to that required a $100 room deposit in case anything was damaged or broken. That should have been my clue. We will see if they refund our $100, because that will really tick me off if they dont. At the moment we are just praying we did catch bed bugs from this place.
Filthy. I paid over £200 GBP for a deluxe room thinking it was a hotel, but it was a dirty motel. Elevator and exterior corridors looked like theyd never been cleaned. Filthy shower wall, which flooded the bathroom as the water ran down a ridge inside the cubicle and onto the floor. Sink plug filthy and plug was broken so did not drain. Coffee machine looked so disgustingly dirty we walked to the nearest starbucks both mornings for coffees. Stained surfaces all over, many were permanent so it looks even more dirty. Stain on the bedsheet, brown and white stains on the walls inside the room. Our view from the deluxe room was a big grey wall. Awful. No one asked how our stay was. Enquired through expedia about a refund and they refused. Avoid avoid avoid.
Positive: The location was perfect for my needs. The decor in the lobby was very nice. Negative: I and another customer ahead of me had to wait a few minutes to check in, as the lobby was locked upon arrival. Curtains and sheets had stains¿paint maybe? Furniture seemed freshly painted and had a kinda sticky/tacky feeling to it and was also wobbly.
My room, and the rest of the property- bared no resemblance- to the description, or photos. The lobby (which they advertise as a lounge) is full of boxes, and trash- which leaves no place for lounging. The pool is is a dark green mucky swamp- even though it is summer time. No sauna. No indoor hot tub. People on one side left because of roaches (they were freaking out in their room, so loudly- you couldnt help but hear), people on other side played loud music with bass speakers that vibrated the wall we shared- the entire night. Additionally, they are short staffed- due to labor shortages- which means when You see that they are sold out- it is not because they are so well liked that they have booked all their rooms for that night- it means that they have (over the course of multiple days) went through all of their rooms- and that all of them are now dirty, or have guests with extended stays in them. They do not have a housekeeping staff. They just clean as they see fit. I find this to be very unsystematic, unsanitary, and bothersome- especially w covid-19. The woman at front desk agreed to refund if I canceled my 2nd day- and then denied having done so, after I left. I am still trying to get back my $164 from them- which is way more than a place like this should charge for a single night. Deceptive operation all around. Sub-par comfort. Very overpriced. Very disappointing. Would not recommend!
NOT WORTH STAYING, BELIEVE THE REVIEWS AND PAY A FEW MORE BUCKS SOMEWHERE ELSE!Stayed here because it was the cheapest option. I dont care about amenities or super-friendly service, just needed a clean easy place to sleep. It wasnt even that. There is a labor shortage causing check-in to be at 4 instead of 3, which we didnt find out until traveling from out of town there. A call or notification of this would have been nice.We had to check in at night, where a different employee helped us out. It was an incredibly slow and frustrating process, and he sprung on us that we needed IDs and to place a deposit in person. He wasnt even sure if the rooms were ready, so we had to wait while he checked. He kept tapping the labor shortage sign as we were getting frustrated, being tired from our day out and just wanting to put our stuff down to sleep. There is no labor shortage - I know tons of folks who would gladly work there, provided the provide a living wage. I dont see any job postings for Hotel Le Reve either. They are clearly just wanting to keep costs as low as possible for themselves. Also, because of a glitch in THEIR system, I might be double charged for an extra room. I will dispute with the bank, and also the deposit that I doubt theyll return based on other reviews. Seems like their business model will be to do the bare minimum as a hotel, drain as much money off of people as they can before they shut down (either voluntarily or otherwise).I will say our rooms were clean at least - I see a lot of folks werent so lucky.Dont stay here - were cancelling our next stay we had booked here
Positive: The location is great, right next to the downtown area of Pasadena, the price was great. Negative: Our bathroom had no shower curtain, no extra toilet paper with hardly and toilet paper in the roll, not enough soap, and the tub didn¿t look very clean. The refrigerator didn¿t work. They were extremely understaffed for housekeeping and maid service
Nothing as advertised. They have fake pictures in Google and they try to take the nice angled pictures from far. But once you get into the room....its like a 1 star rated motel (and this is a HOTEL). The matress had blood stains, floor from the shower was nasty, their furniture had stains all over, Coffee maker inside restroom??? Drawers broken...everything looked so old and unsanitized. We had to go and buy a brand new blanket and pillow cases. I dont know how we handled to be there 3 nightsWe got the presidencial suite. I cannot imagine what the regular, 2 queen bed room (cheaper room) could be like 🤢Unfortunately, after reading their policies, we couldnt claim a money back from the moment the sign up the contract at the front. Not worth it, I do not recommend it and I will not reserve here evet again.
Positive: Location met my needs Negative: Seems there are homeless clients living at the hotel. Construction materials in lobby, no breakfast, and pool-jacuzzi inaccessible. I booked this hotel because of the indoor spa, unavailable. Front desk check-in person made a speech about 5pm check-in.
The staff was accommodating but I had to switch rooms 3 times due to being dirty, broken bed frame, dust and dirt on everything. To be fair they are remodeling and very understaffed but it felt like there wasnt any pride in how the rooms looked or how they were cleaned.
Positive: Nothing Negative: This hotel was extremely run down. The room looked and smelled like it had previous water damage. Tops of the table was warped and there was an overwhelming musty smell. The mattress bowed in the middle. Sketchy area and alot of questionable characters.
This has to have been THEE absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Not only was the premium room FILTHY, it smelled bad, the furniture is old & clearly worn and the hotel staff is NO help. They try to nickel & dime you by charging for incidentals for simple things like towels. There is a WEED shop right next door which speaks volumes about the clientele. PLEASE save your money, youre better off at a Motel 6. The front desk staff is incompetent as is the manager Richard and they give you the run around for any simple questions & answers. CROOKS, THEIVES and LIARS.
I booked this hotel for two nights on a Thursday , second day early in the afternoon I ask if there was housekeeping available they said “No” I was okay with it. I asked for towels they said they didn’t have any and will have some until Monday. Front desk woman got really upset when I asked to be checked out early. They don’t have the basic amenities a hotel is supposed to offer. It’s completely filth. Homeless man hangs out in the front bench picnic table. Sketchy area, very dirty hotel. Poor customer service from Hotel Manager Richard Ceja and front desk woman Rosie. I normally don’t like to write bad reviews but this place deserves a bad review. Do not recommend at all!!!
Not even 1 star worthy! It was awful. It was so dirty, our room had so many fruit fly looking bugs flying around. The closet door came off the hinge when we opened it. The sheets were NASTY dingy and dirty! The pool area was full of people having a party at 12am when we checked in. The bathroom was grimy, looked like blood on the wall near the toilet paper holder, there was a half body of a huge dead roach on the floor near the toilet! It was just awful! Definitely pay the extra money to go elsewhere, it’s not worth being so uncomfortable and feeling dirty.
I was weary about this place after reading dome of the negative reviews, but it was great. I chose the light deluxe room with the king size bed. The room was nicely decorated; clean and spacious. The the bathroom was a nice size and the shower was huge. Im guessing I received one of the renovated rooms. There was a refrigerator in the room, but no microwave. The bed was a little hard and the air conditioner a little loud. I never got around to trying the breakfast, but the dining area was always full. The staff were very nice. Wish Id tried the potatoes I heard so much about. All in all I would stay here again.
I reserved a room on booking.com and the reviews were great also great price. Unfortunately the pictures are a lie. The floor hasnt been mopped in years so dirty when I wiped it with a wet wipe. The shower was dirty doesnt even look like they scrub it or even wipe it.. The furniture. Omg was horrific for the price of the room at least have updated clean non damaged furniture with water ring stains. Also please clean your lamps its covid 19🤢 year . Sketchy area dont recommend for family oriented people, looks more like a druggie hotel. Non friendly staff unfortunately. Dont recommend very dirty..
I hope the owner sees this and cares. This place has tons of potential its sad its falling apart, owner has definitely lost interest in this investment from the outdated office decor, messy and dirty hallways which can improve with a quick pressure wash, rooms are nicely outlined but lack of care, showers are not cleaned properly, seats in the rooms are dirty and ripped...who puts suede seats and not care for them. Like I said tons of potential just need someone to see it and trun this place around
Enjoyed our 5 night stay at this hotel!Check-in was super easy with our online booking. Staff was friendly and accommodating when we needed more pillows or our door keys redone. The hotel room was immaculately clean, we had no issues with the room we stayed in. Breakfast was great, I liked that each morning the chef on duty would offer to make us pancakes! For being next to the freeway and a light rail line, there was hardly any noise in the room aside from the air conditioners. Would definitely go back when in the area!
My fiance and I stayed here because we were going to go to Universal Studious. We got a really nice room, I liked the decor and appreciated not having a carpeted room. The breakfast was really good and the lady cook and staff were welcoming. Overall, it was comfortable. I would go back another time, I would recommend letting the front desk know as soon as you check in, if your rooms is not clean because our floor could of used another sweep.
The price was almost too good to be true. Love the lobby decor. 24 hour front desk is nice. But the kitchen was being remodeled due to health risks, not sure what that meant, but what that meant for us was that there was no continental breakfast. We were upgraded to the renovated double queen room which was super cool. Wish they had some art work in the room. Everything was clean. Parking was very limited. Overall, if youre looking for something very affordable (with minimal sketch factor) in a trendy neighborhood, this is your place!
Nope, I booked a reservation at 1pm and sat in my hot car in August waiting til the 3 pm check in and front desk just kept repeating 5 oclock. They changed their policy bur didnt update it on their pool was down for maintenance. Now Im sitting in their lobby writi g this and they say I dont have a reservation
Horrible when I say horrible I mean horrible they don’t have cameras on the floors that would at least hello if something happens they put cameras in blind SPOTS my room was broken into by an employee they took all my belongings and left the deadbolt open when I told management they didn’t care worth of SHI** they basically made it seem like I left my room door open on purpose ! In a new territory why would I do such a thing when I had valuables I would not recommend it’s all family operated so any complaints they will just throw your request In the trash I’m not up for wishing harm but I hope that business SHUTS DOWN !!! Plus al the images you see online are inaccurate rooms are horrible
I had some troubles at the start, but to be fair, any and all issues were due to the fact that I booked from a third party. Nevertheless, the staff kindly assisted me in settling any problems. The room I was given was flawless, which I an grateful for, because prior reviews had given me a more poor impression. I loved the breakfast! I think mornings had to be my favorite part of the day, simply for that reason!Overall, I never had a much better stay anywhere! Ill definitely be booking again!
Absolutely terrible, frightening experience. When I get there I wait at the front desk for 10 minutes alone. When someone does show up, the first thing he says when I ask about a room is normally he doesn’t even rent to people like me. Then he says the owner is going to be watching me. He makes me agree to this three times, as if he’s doing me some favor. When the person tells me the rate, it’s wayyyy higher than the online rate. I tell them I am just going to reserve online instead. He tells me it’s too late and I already owe him for the reservation he made. If I leave I would be delinquent on the reservation. It was traumatic, inhospitable and egregious. I felt so taken advantage of I cried by myself after I was able to get away. Worst customer experience I have had in years. Do not go here.Edit: There was no miscommunication. In that moment he was quite clear to me. The term is discriminatory.
I was on the fence when it came to booking this hotel due to some of the negative reviews but one thing I noticed was each bad review had some sort of personal apologetic response from the Hotel and not a generic one like the other hotel reviews I have seen. This place was wonderful. Staff was nice, breakfast was yummy, the room was cozy. I myself prefer my bed to be a bit more softer and the bed provided was a bit more firm but I slept like a baby. The one thing I am not a big fan of is the parking is for first comers but I have experience that with a lot of the other hotels on that street. Every complaint I read was non existent when I stayed there. I would definitely book again when I come back up in April.
Overall our stay there was a great experience, the breakfast buffet every morning helped us stay in budget and was delicious. The housekeeping staff was always friendly and accommodating! Our daughter loved the rain shower and I loved the quiet!!! I will definitely be coming back if I ever vacation in the area again!!!!
The hotel Le Reve Pasadena is a slaughterhouse. It is between Highway 210 and E. Colorado Blvd. The rumbling sound is so strong that I did not sleep one minute in the whole night. Basically, you will be killed there. You even cannot escape the slaughterhouse. If you escape it, you will not get refund.
Don’t let the stars fool you. Horrible room. Smell like weed once walk in. Don’t even provide simple amenities like slippers or toothpaste. Poorly designed, AC unit hard to access, bathroom door blocks the sink. Found a bug in the bathroom. Room seems like it hasn’t been cleaned since the 90s. The floor had gaps in between that’s filled with dust and particles, and can’t even give slippers. All the walls and tables have different marks that makes it look unclean. Last place on earth I would stay and definitely not worth the price.
So greatful !, To Rosie Hotel font desk manager helped me check in at 5:30 Thursday night only mins before her work schedule ended she made sure I was Checked in, went over all hotel rules and made me feel comfortable. love my room just wish the grounds where as polished as the manager Rosie she gets 5 stars, will exstend stay because of her. RM
This is a nice hotel. newly remodeled.clean and comfortable beds.amenities included of reasonable quality. with the freeway so close, you might expect it to be noisy, but it sounds a bit like a rush of water. not noisy at all. the staff was wonderful, even loaning me her personal phone charger until i could get a new one. and breakfast was lovely. eggs, pancakes, refried beans, tortillas, and a great salsa. toast and cereal too. All in all a lovely place to stay.
The pool was closed and it was never mentioned on the website. 5 dollars a room key card if you loose it. The front desk didnt tell us when we were checking in, so be careful not to loose your room keys. Dirty bathroom. My room had some hair inside the bathtub and it was never removed during our 3 days stay. Wall is paper thin, and it gets noisy when people walking by and talking. Room was average but is nothing like the pictures on the website. This place is more like a motel not a hotel. Not worth the money.
The pictures are nothing like the actual rooms or amenities. Very nasty rooms. Wallpaper falling off the walls, spiders and spiderwebs in the room, barely any air conditioning, and much more that was awful. I wouldnt even let a homeless person sleep there. Woman at the front gave us a hard time when we tried getting a refund as well. Never going back and would never recommend.
Last minute hotel change to this one. Waited in the line to check in, 30 mins later and each of the 4 people before me had to wait for their room since the housekeeper wasnt finished cleaning them all.Can I just say, yelling at the front desk lady is not going to help you get a room any faster. Dont be a dick to these workers please. If have issues with beds, you will not be a fan of these. The beds were both (2 queens), hard and the pillows were lumpy.I didnt call to get new ones because it was 5 :30 pm and the poor housekeeper still wasnt finished her rounds of cleaning the rooms. She was the only one working.Quiet neighborhood on the weekend.
Paid more for the deluxe room. Hotel looks fancy, new, and updated in photos but what they leave out is they are CURRENTLY renovating the hotel and so there are scattered thrown old used items, paint, tools, trash everywhere. The room we stayed in had a CRACKED glass mirror, cracked marble sink, terrible workmanship in the bathroom, and the shower had VERY little pressure. Lights in the room would also flicker and dim in and out randomly.Breakfast was a joke. When you go down to the buffet the person at the desk asked for room number, then proceeds to pull paper plates from under some desk for you to use for the buffet. The dining area was cramped and the options were very limited. Again, there were items scattered all over the floor for the renovations they were doing and it looked incredibly tacky and gross to eat next to open pails of material and boxes of trash cans for future rooms.Overall I am glad we spent very little time there. Didnt even take advantage of the free breakfast because of options and conditions. Would NOT recommend. Do not let the photos fool you!!!
Property was well kept and good looking, room was clean and comfortable, both girls I spoke with at the front desk were friendly and helpful. Located between a Smart & Final and a Target with a Starbucks and Which Wich sandwich shop inside, about 10 minutes from the Pasadena convention center. Lots of restaurants near by. No noise at night. Parking lot is small, seems like you may not get a spot if you arrive after 9. No complaints about the actual hotel stay, but at check in my card was double charged for the room, once as a holding fee and once for real, and then also charged a $100 incidental fee, which meant I paid over $300 for what was supposed to be a $126 room. The holding fee was returned before the next morning and the incidental fee a few hours after check out but it was an unpleasant surprise to say the least. Probably not a good idea for someone on a budget, and I doubt we will return because of it. Unfortunate, because our stay was actually very pleasant.
The only good thing is location. Breakfast wack Beds old and squeaky. Service poor. The worst experience was when the room flooded. Fire alarm sounded but no one in sight to explain Staff just as confused and didnt help. Our clothes documents technology and luggage damaged. Manager unreachable, whilst young lady receptionist was just as traumatized and clueless. Worst of all, no help no remorse no compensation. Will not recommend, but suing is. Can you believe they were busy accepting incoming clients whilst the fire alarm was ringing? Horrific stay and had to cut it short right there. .
The pools and the sauna were down. They charged us 15 dollars per towel for towels that had make-up on them from my wife washing her face at night. The door was left unlocked all night because it the handle was broken, so it didnt pop back up after it was pushed down to open it. The bathroom door didnt work very well either. At least they let us keep the towels that we had to pay for. It is most upsetting that the towels were not worth what we were charged. They were like cheap Wal-Mart towels. They put us on the top floor in the corner, and never told us about an elevator. We didnt know about its existence until the last day.
Stayed the night while traveling back to new home location. The double bed was comfortable, the staff friendly, though my only concern was the shower. While amazing in its set-up (overhead shower including another body shower) - the hot water never came on. So i took a cold shower that next morning before the continental breakfast & heading out. *sad face*
This was the worst hotel. I have ever stayed at. The picture does not look like the reality of the website. I stayed for 3 night the cleaning staff dont clean your room. I put the sign on the door the still didnt clean it. Continental breakfast was only Danish, 4 bad apples no other fruit and watery juice that is what they called breakfast. The staff not professional. I paid cash for for my 3 nights they still ran my credit card its going to take 5 days to release will see and the end of the week to see if I got double charged. WORST EVER STAY
Pleasant stay. Friendly staff, clean room, sheets and towels, very nice wholesome breakfast for free (the pork sausages are really good), gym is decently equipped. Walking distance to a gold line metro station and a Target. Takes around 40 minutes to get to downtown and an hour plus to Hollywood walk of fame. But best to drive or Lyft if youre in LA. Everything is FAR apart.
This hotel is deplorable the staff sucks the rooms are partially cleaned. God forbid you swim in the hot tub because the idiot management put fresh bleach in the hot tub and told no one. The staff is rude. There is only one nice staff member. Its ghetto the escortsame love to hang out there. There parking is horrible. They treat other guest more special than others. If you get Rosa good luck because she is the rudest manager ever. They are unprofessional and unfit to be a hotel chain. If I could sew for the bleach incident I would do not be fooled by what they want you to see. The hotel sucks and it doesnt even have breakfast this place deserves 0 stars.
My husband and I spent 4 nights here to stay in a cheaper area close to LA. The room was okay, sadly the walls are far too thin, which leads to you hearing every flushing toilet nearby (plus, in one night, a group of people was beyond loud until 2am, the hotel staff did not seem to notice or care). Now onto the breakfast: the food is good, but everything around it is actually outrageous. Every guest gets a paper plate (?!) to get their stuff from the small buffet. For coffee and juice, you have to take plastic/ paper cups, which are individually (?!) packed in plastic. You are eating with plastic cutlery. Apart from the shabbyness of this, its just producing so much waste. This careless behaviour continues in the hotel rooms: You get small samples of soap etc., which are renewed (just like the towels) everyday, even it was used only once. The label on the samples saying green is actually ridiculious.
Lovely resort type set up. Clean and very spacious rooms. The Whirlpool, swimming pool and Sauna was amazing in my therapy/rehab. The cook Felicitas made the most amazing home cooked breakfast for us. The cheesy potatoes and cheesy denver eggs and buttery pancakes melted in my mouth. The staff was amazing also. Maryland, Rosie and Gabby are awesome and very professional in all areas. Managers were on site and examining all rooms and handling all issue immediately which in truly appreciated. Very nice upper class location close to all shopping and restaurants. Pet friendly also. This is a must stay now and whenever im in the area.
Once youve paid and have arrived at 7pm, youll get to the front door and notice a small sign on the door suggesting you might have come earlier as there are no actual hotel employees there past 6pm.YOU SHOULD PUT THAT ON YOUR WEBSITE... MAYBE CHANGE YOUR HOURS ON GOOGLE, thanks.
Excellent breakfast, one of the staff made fresh salsa. Mostly quiet, a little noisy from freeway noise . Beautiful palm trees, but inside needs more updating; new faucets, better wardrobe, new washer and dryer. (Looks like they havent worked in awhile) More expensive than usual because of being New Years. Paid $300/ night. Usually around $120/ night. Should never be more than $180 / night. ☆☆ star hotel. Could be a really cute kitchy old Hollywood vibe.
We enjoyed our stay here. Location was good, staff were very nice and made us feel welcomed. The food was very good :), definitely homemade. This was a quick decision trip to Cali from Las Vegas and we were not disappointed whatsoever. We will definitely stay here again!.
This is a refurbished retro motel but that’s fine. It was clean and the beds, though a bit squeaky, were comfortable. Nonetheless, this was by far my worst experience in any hotel in my 60+ years of life. Though seemingly a decent hotel in a decent area, it seemed to have attracted a small bad crowd the night we were there. Again this is not the problem, I realize that can happen. Let me explain. The problem began at 3 am when the numerous people in the room next to ours started screaming and yelling and crying and clearly a woman was being harmed. The walls are paper thin and it was easy to hear that they were yelling about domestic situations and money and then that quickly changed to wondering if they should call an ambulance and if they do they’ll go to jail and so on and so forth. It was during this time that we called the front desk, detailed what was happening, and asked them to please call the police. Clearly a woman was in need of help. They said they’d “look into it.” Ok... I strongly considered calling the police directly because the front desk woman seemed uninterested but I’m a single mom and these people were violent and I was very very afraid for our safety if we were identified. This screaming went on until nearly 4:00. No police. The people themselves finally left the room. No idea if with or without the injured woman. By 5:00 some other people who seemed to be friends of theirs showed up and knocked and knocked on their door, surprised to find them gone. We finally got just a couple of hours of sleep but by about 7 couldn’t wait to just get dressed and get out of there. As we left the room, we saw a big pile of wet, bloody towels in front of the adjacent room where all this happened. We went down to check out. A remarkably uninterested front desk clerk took our key and then commented that I looked like I was going to say something. Note she didn’t ask me how our stay was... isn’t that standard? I gave her an extremely abbreviated version and told her about the towels and she said let me check the logs... oh yeah I see the police were called at 3 am. Ok well they didn’t come. Well it says they came. Well we were able to hear everything and they did not come... She apologized we had a bad night sleep to which I replied she was missing the point entirely. Don’t apologize to me. I’ve had bad night’s sleep before. Apologize to the woman whose blood was all over a least a half dozen bath towels and received zero help DESPITE THE ISSUE BEING REPORTED. Clearly either these people at the front desk bring lack of caring to a whole new level - or else the people In the room were friends of the front desk staff. No other conclusion makes sense. I’ve been thinking about that poor woman all day. I hope she’s being taken care of.
HIDDEN FEES!!!!!!Me and my wife stayed 5 days and the first night stepped out side and doors are ridged to close on you so that they can charge you a extra $35 also they changed they lobby hours mon-thrus 10am to 6pm and fri and sat 9am to 1pm meaning you dont get your $100 deposit until someone gets in the lobby honestly I believe that the hotel should be open longer during the week seeing that people work and have children and are in a pandemicthe staff appear to be nice because they are cons artists
In response to the hotel, if there were only bedbugs in my sons friends bed, than why does my son have bites?!? You should’ve done the right thing and given us a full refund, not just for the night there were bugs, but also for the night they apparently slept with the eggs before they hatched!! As far as the boys staying by the pool, they were told to stay and wait for the GM, also needed to wait for their laundry to be done, that they paid 10$ for so they hopefully didn’t bring bed bugs home with them! Furthermore, I asked them to get into the hot tub and the sauna to hopefully get whatever larva or bug that could’ve been on them, off!! This was not just a relaxing pool day, as you’re making it seem...As far as taking the time to discuss the issue, my son and his friend needed to get to the airport or they would miss their flight, the GM rushes me off the phone, stating he would not discuss this issue with me, so again, not our fault, totally yours!!Like I said, it really doesn’t take much to just do the right thing!! I own my own business, and I would never let a customer leave unsatisfied!!
As we plan our getaway from home on 7/9/2017 to have a good time we arrive early to the place .My husband ask the front desk teller if we could do an early checking in she stated with a no word at least she should of ask do you have a reservation Sr or ask who he was. Any away we waited very patiently as when the time to do a checking I mention her a had my service dog with me ,she ask me to fill out a form after filling out she left to the back came and said I cant let you have your dog stay due to the fact that she stated I was fill in wrong . I ask her to give me another form to rewrite she hesitated. She was been rude an informal with my husband and me, I feel that she discriminate me and my service dog in a fashion way that felt turn away from the property. My husband and me have stay at other hotel in future and have never had any issues .
Its not the worst place to stay. Its better then any motel 6 or motel 8...Room is clean, a little worn-out price was good.I would stay here again.this room has not yet been remodeled and its decent so thats a good sign. At least they are trying not like most places... and Im a little picky... but its not the hilton either... I give it 2 1/2 stars
Its a nice, clean, well kept, retro style Hotel. It is close (w/in 5m to bus & 10m train) to mass transit. You can walk to Target. The only downside is theres no tray / shelf in the shower to put shampoo, conditioner, & body wash on & theres no grab bar next to the toilet. You have to put it on the outside edge of the shower. Which means you have to bend over at the waist to pick each item up that you want to use. We traveled with a [partial] amputee from calf down and the grab bar was her only complaint.
Booked on priceline. Just checked in. Where do I start? Room is filthy...curtains are wrinkled, filthy, worn. Carpet worn through inside door, furniture worn, damaged, holes in it and old. Stinks like lysol. Carpet is dank. We will NOT be walking around barefoot on this carpet. Using our own towels. This is not a three star...more like a zero star! Dont book this one!! Keep looking and dont believe just my review: be sure to check the multitudes of negative reviews on yelp. Wish we had..... thank goodness we will be here only a few hours. Upon check in they take a $100 deposit in case you damage the room. Be prepared to leave it on the credit card or leave cash. Could it get any worse?Upon check out we noticed many rooms that were much nicer and empty after being told there was nothing else available the night before. I asked and response was after asking a series of very pointed and direct questions: out of 60 rooms, 15 are in the same condition as the one we were stuck in and those are what you get when you book standard king on these third party online companies. If we had booked a premium room, we would have gotten a much cleaner and somewhat updated room. Without the filthy carpet. The photos are not true to the room we had. And the pool is still under reno. The photos online, third party sites AND THEIR OWN WEBSITE show a lovely pool area and indoor whirlpool. Those do not exist. The front desk employee said that we have no control over those pictures, my boss has contacted those companies to tell them the pools are being renovated. And I insisted that she go up to our room and check it and sign my receipt that the damage that was there now was not from us. She did and I got my $100 back and I wasnt going to leave until that all happened.Refrigerator did not work well and for an hour early morning we had no hot water. All sidewalks, elevators, walls, widows, curtains, walkways, etc very very filthy and disgusting. This property is false advertising their rooms and staff and photos are misleading and not honest - BEWARE
Very rude manager, found bugs in my bed claiming to be from a peacock wondering into my room and was refused a refund. Will never come back here again. Not only did staff do nothing about the peacock harassing us, they named it and fed it. I felt like elevator was going to get stuck while inside. 0/10 couldn’t pay me to spend another night here.
Have stayed here twice. No matter what Im in town for anywhere in LA, I will make the trip to Pasadena, and stay here. Full breakfast, clean rooms, pleasant staff. Pool, Jacuzzi, Sauna, gym. And easy access to the 210 freeway to get me anywhere in town I need to go. Actually I should rate this place 1 star, because I dont want too many people to find out about this place, and take all the rooms when I want to come to town.My only complaint, is at certain times of the year, the room rates get ridiculous for what this place is. It was a Best Western for god sakes, and you are pretty far down Colorado Blvd from downtown Pasadena, but other than that great place to lay your head.
No one should stay in this hotel. It was not clean and no new towels for 3 days. The refrigerator freezer was so full of ice that you could not put anything in it. The was no microwave in the room. It had flies in the room so I had to go to Target and get some spray to kill them.
When we reserved the room was based on the pictures, but we got a OLD ROOM,THE BED IS VERY NOISE,when I tell the lady that the room is not the same that we reserved she tell me that the other rooms are premiun, online is just one price and the rooms are amazing!!! I have to make the decision on what room I want to be,because I paid for that,so BE CAREFUL PEOPLE DO NOT TRUST ON THE PICTURES!!!!
Not recommended. There is no internet or breakfast. The room service is week and do not satisfy. The manager is rude and have no respect for the guests. The size of the room is ok but the pool is in construction and if they tell you it is working they are lying and it will take another month to finish it. It is not worthless and have betters deals around this beautiful area.
So my Hotel room was flooded at 6 on Friday evening (9 November 2018) and my suitcase, my moms documents, my school workbooks for the following year, food and toiletries were damaged. We only received help from one man staying in the room next to us after ten minutes of trying to get things out alone0. We luckily got everything out but some got damaged, my laptop got wet and was slightly damaged. Our passports and birth certificates got wet. We had only arrived in Los Angeles the day before and were meant to spend 3 nights at the hotel. They gave us trash bags to put all our wet stuff in. While we were trying to sort everything out nobody helped us not even the fire department. They said the leakage came from the room right above us and dont know how it happened or what triggered the fire alarm. We had a lot of luggage, we had 9 bags and 4 trash bags but no one came to assist they literally watched us. The Hotel manager was unreachable and the lady on duty at reception said she couldnt pay for any damages or for transportation to a different hotel. She only paid for the 2 nights we were meant to stay and that was it. Im from South Africa and I know that if this happened there they would pay for damages, help us with our luggage and help us with transportation. I was traumatized and outraged as I am still a child. This is truly horrific. The name of the Hotel is Hotel Le Rêve in Pasadena, CA. 0 stars
Amazing customer service from Manager Richard. We did have a problem with breakfast, and because of a glitch we were refunded our night stay. Thank you. Next time I come to see my son, I will most definitely stay at your hotel again, and will tell everyone how you fixed everything
Okay so let me start by saying that i have never in my entire life of existance have ever experienced such NASTY customer serivice from 2 staff. The black girl working up front and that caucasion heavy weight female possibly manager or trainer. Only wish i could of writen their names down. GROSS smell in the rooms. For breakfast.....generic fattning muffins and an orange . Random fees you have to pay. Such horrible trained staff that give in wrong info. Consider the bad reviews. I over looked them even tho i read about them but said id give them a chance. Worst desicion that made my trip bitter and uncomfortable. Look els where trust me. Theres Better and cheaper options elswhere. As for EXPEDIA. HORRIBLE on there part for even partnering with this hotel . this maks them look bad. They def lost a customer with this one.....oh and i almost forgot. Bedbugs ....yup there here
I AM SUPPOSEDLY WELCOME,BUT I GO THERE RECENTLY,AND YOU SAY THERES A COMPUTER CRASH,SI I CANNOT CHECK IN...THEN A FEW DAYS LATER,ANITHER EXCUSE...THEN LAST NITE YOU SAY ITS ALK FULL.WELL,I STAYED OUTSIDE THE OFFICE,FIR HOURS...AND OBSERVED MANY PEOPLE GOING THERE,AND CHECKING IN...SO APPARENTLY IT WAS NOT FULL.I FEEL YOURE DUSCRIMINATING ME,BECAUSE IM HOMELESS.WELL JESUS CHRIST WAS ALSO HOMELESS,WAS HENOT??!I DEFINETELY FEEL YOURE JUDGIBG ME,I HAVE THE CASH TO GET A ROOM,AND JUST BECAUSE AS OERSIN IS TEMPIRARILY HOMELESS,IT DINT MEAN IM NOT WIRTHY OF STAYING TGERE.I WILL BE CALLING A HOMELESS ADVOCATE,AND PERHAPS A LAWYER.I KNOW YOU ARE DICSRIMINATING ME.AS I STAYED OUTSIDE OFFICE,FREEZING IN THE COLD ICY AIR,I WAS SAD,AND CRYING....I COULDVE BEEN IN A WARM HEATED ROOM,BUT YOU CHOSE TO DUSCRIMINATE ME.
The staff is very friendly however, their hotel is near the freeway and the windows are so cheap that you can hear the cars as if your on the freeway yourself, basically way too loud even with the ac on (which turns off after on 2 mins and then turns on like 10mins later). They have no cieling fans either so it was hot. If you want a cheap place then this is the place but if you want a good nights sleep then dont go here.
Crappy hotel more like a 1 star hotel....toilet there doesnt want to flush.... furniture there is all worn out...shower curtains didnt have a plastic inliner it was all fabric, so when that got wet, it started dripping all over the floor. Whos the retarded that came up with this?
The General Manager is a moron Woke up to bed bugs crawling all over us was told he comes and goes as he pleases waited around for 3 hours waiting for him to show up to be told that we would only receive a partial refund, then to make it better was told they werent bed bugs they were mites from their pet peacock. Id advise anyone to look elsewhere if youre staying in pasadena
The reviews from 5 months are very different than todays review... No Breakfast... Hot tub opens after 10am and closes at 5 but is cold and only turned on when asked to be turnt on which takes an hour or two too heat up... office does not open until 10am so cannot check in until rosie gets to work... Then she leaves at 6pm and closes the office with no customer service until the next day... there is no place to warm any food up before 10am and after 6pm... Rosie is a very sweet lady and will accommodate, but when shes gone all hell breaks loose...
I had a beautiful experience with Hotel Le Reves... Cusomer service is top notch! The general manager Rich is wonderful and very understanding. I recommend for any one visiting LA ... Pasadena is an awesome town with awesome people... Le Reves will always be my number one stay when I come back to CA!!! Thanks again Rich and staff for your beautiful hearts and patience .. peace and love
I absolutely do not recommend this hotel if you are looking for friendly staff, long term bookings, or clean facilities. The location is great but no breakfast horrible wifi and dirty pull and hottub really tank the experience. The manager rosa is extremely rude and I would recommend avoiding her. Also many escorts stay there as well.
No parking available when we arrived. Old mattresses piled in the corner of the parking lot. Check in counter was a sheet of plywood. No carpet in room. Lenolium instead. Room smelled of cigarettes, food and air freshener. Far from downtown Pasadena. All this and I just got here.
My grandparents and fathers side family live in/around Pasadena, so finding a reasonbly priced hotel in that area is something Ive done quite a few times. In the past, I stayed at the Quality Inn on Colorado Blvd. When searching for this trips stay, I notice the QI was no longer an option of mine and was a tad bit disappointed. I found Hotel Le Reve and decided to book since it looked super cute and clean off their website. To my surprise, Hotel Le Reve is actually the Quality Inn that I used to stay in. It is now redecorated, rooms are being remodeled, and still the same comfortable hotel that I enjoyed staying in. I will definitely choose to stay at the Hotel Le Reve again!
Last weekend my car broke down about 40 miles north of Baker on my way down from Las Vegas to Pasadena to celebrate my birthday. Unfortunately, we had to get towed back to Vegas and it was a bit late to get a flight. I called Le Reve and explained my situation and they were awesome! They rescheduled our visit to next weekend, so I sit in my premier King suite as I write this and get ready for my trip to Universal Studios Hollywood tomorrow!
Advertised continental breakfast which may be be considered some what of a subjective term yet i not sure some cheap pre packaged Danishes could not be in the same index or phylia of a fit breakfast... therefore felt swindled ... although they are under construction and understand the current circumstances need to make sure their current advertisements currently reflect their amenities....Big on breakfast...expecting a waffle machine and getting a dry orange hits me.in the heart ...broken heart
NEEDS NEW STAFF...MOTEL JUST A HOT MESS... ASK WHY HOUSEKEEPERS KEEP LEAVING....THE PAY SUCK..JUST LIKE THE SERVICE..BED SHEETS NEED TO BE CHANGED...HOPE YALL KNOW EVERYBODY BEEN SLEEPING IN SAME SHEETS...I KNOW..I USE TO WORK AT THIS UNSTABLE..UNPROFESSIONAL MOTEL..WOKERS GOT THEY KIDS COMING TO WORK WITH THEM..WHEN THE KID SHOULD BE AT SCHOOL..SOMEBODY NEED TO CHECK TO SEE IF PEOPLE EVEN GOT THEY PAPERWORK RIGHT...BETTER BUSINESS.....BBB
We checked in after a long drive around 11:00 toilet was broken after 30min they finally said they had a roomWe switched rooms the wallpaper was ripped from the wall there was a huge dry wall patch job gone wrongThey said the best they can do is 20% off room is covered in drywall dustI think all the other reviews were fakeTrashy place stay far away
NEGATIVE 5 STARS!!!!!!!!!NOT ONE - STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!! THEY STEAL YOUR DEPOSIT AND DONT RETURN EMAILS OR EXPLAIN WHY THEY HAVE A 24hr DEADLINE ON RETURNING DEPOSITS THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO BE FOR ANY INCIDENTALS. THEY ALSO DONT RETURN CASH YOU PAY FOR UPGRADED INTERNET SERVICE THAT DOESNT WORK AND WAS PROMISED TO BE RETURNED. INSTEAD THEY HAVE A TWO BIT AMBULANCE CHASING LAWYER CONTACT YOU AND THREATEN YOU THAT HE CAN HAVE YOUR JOB PUT IN JEOPARDY BECAUSE HE HAS EX FRAT BUDDIES THAT WORK FOR COMPANIES THAT GO TO YOUR UNION AND ASK FOR WORKERS. HE IS SO DUMB THAT HE DOESNT UNDERSTAND THAT EVEN HIS FRIEND WOULDNT HAVE ANY PULL WHEN IT COMES GETTING ME FIRED. MAYBE HE SHOULD GO BACK TO COLLEGE AND LEARN HOW UNIONS WORK. IVE FILED WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS bureau, , IM FILING A POLICE REPORT, AND IM CONTACTING LOCAL MEDIA SOURCES SO THAT OTHERS DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT HAVING THEIR MONEY STOLEN BY THESE CROOKS ANY LONGER,. I WILL ALSO BE CONTACTING AN ATTORNEY SO HOPEFULLY ANYONE THATS ALSO BEEN STOLEN FROM BY THESE CROOKS CAN HOPEFULLY GET THEIR CASH DEPOSITS BACK TOO. IF YOU NEED A PROSTITUTE IM SURE YOU COULD FIND ONE HERE. BEWARE AND STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. THERE is PLENTY OF OTHER BETTER OPTIONS NEARBY SO GO THERE.

2022-04-12Hotel room is a little beat up. It was raining the last time we stayed here. There was water seeping through the door. The a/c does work to well. The beds are comfy. Most of the rooms smell like cigarettes. And some of the hotel workers are rude. Customer service is alright, but can approve in certain areas. Very affordable nonetheless.

2022-01-02The photos on their website reflect a more updated version of the rooms, the rooms are just OK. The craftsmen work in the bathrooms is really shoddy, sad because you can tell they are trying to make improvements. The young man who checked us in was commendable, excellent customer service. They did not voluntarily clean the rooms, empty trash cans, or replace towels at any point of our stay. Also the room was not stocked with any towels upon check-in. There were several “longer-term” occupants, some may find this undesirable.

2022-05-15Positive: Overall, for the price, this hotel cant be beat. It is centrally located in East Pasadena near the Metro Gold Line which makes getting around easy. There is a Target down the block which provides for easy shopping. Negative: This hotel seems to struggle with maintaining cleanliness. Everything besides the floors was clean. It seems that my room was not vacuumed prior to my stay.

2022-05-21STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL. I booked a room for three nights a week prior to my arrival. Three hours before our arrival, they ran my card, and my bank flagged the transaction as suspicious activity. The bank then called me to verify the charge and I approved it. I then called the hotel, only to find out that they canceled my reservation, despite having a guaranteed confirmation number. The person at the front had no information about my reservation, despite it JUST being canceled. Not only did they attempt to run my card before my arrival, but they didnt even attempt to contact me. They were not helpful and did not have any rooms available so I had to book with another hotel at the last minute. I had to do all of this while driving out of state, which was massively stressful. I asked to speak with a manager but I was told that they did not have one available and that I wouldnt be able to speak to anyone that night. I was given an email address to get in contact with the manager but they never responded.

2022-02-20I stayed one night. The room was clean, linen was clean. Once you close the door to your room it was quiet. Just a bunch of shady people. Reception was not open 24/7 though. So you have to wait till 11am to check out, you cant check out early.

2022-04-04Positive: Nothing. I liked nothing. Negative: The hotel was extremely dirty and did not feel safe at all. The sink was over flowing and, the sheets were dirty. Everything was dirty.

2022-04-24I really enjoyed my stay. They were able to accommodate me 40 mins before my arrival. Very clean. Quiet.

2022-05-22Astoundingly poor customer service to begin, followed up with a filthy room that left my 15-month-old sons feet black. We left one hour after arrival, and were refused a refund for a four-day stay. This hotel should be shut down by the health department (to whom I will be reporting this as well).

2021-11-10Honestly the price is what saves this place. It was only 50$ a night and we booked last minute. Its also only 3mins away from a BUNCH of food options. The room could have been more clean... we kept our socks on because the floors were pretty gross. The bathroom and sink areas need some sprucing up. We decided to not question what stains were on the towels, thankfully we brought our own.The staff were nice though, and quick to help us out when we had questions.
