This was beyond one of the worse hotels Ive ever stayed at. I choose this hotel for myself and my entire wedding party to stay here thinking this was going to be a great spot and location. Well, the location was, however, the hotel WAS NOT. First, my maid of honor Loris English room 106 had dog hair EVERYWHERE on the couch, floor, and countertops. You guys waited almost 2 days to go in there and clean when you should have assigned her another room. Then in room 412 (an adtl room I booked that my sister stayed in with her kids) the room was infested with ANTS! You guys send a guy up with COMMET a cleaning chemical that is to spray and have the entire room smell like chemicals and then the guy says oh the real maintenance will be here tomorrow AGAIN didnt offer to place her in another room. Then I get the receipt after leaving on 2/23 stating you charged me for parking when we did not park a vehicle on your premise! So I want to be compensated for room 201 I used to just get ready for my wedding day since the cleaning ladies did not have to make or clean beds other than taking out the trash. I want to be compensated back for the unauthorized parking charges you charged me as well! I will NEVER stay at any Hilton hotels ever again. I stayed across the street at the Club Sports Renaissance in February last year, and I had an amazing experience there! Its too bad that the staff at Homewood Suites dont take pride in their jobs to do the right thing. I raised a concern with the trashcan on the first level that it smelled really bad which was around 3 pm it smelled awful like something dead was in there. It was almost 12am and the trash STILL smelled and was never taken out. If I could describe this entire experience one word would be DISGUSTING!
Im not sure how this place is getting such great reviews. It solidly mediocre: the rooms are decent (you wont find a kitchen like this for this price), the place seemed quite clean and had all the usual amenities we expect in hotels. That said, it would be nice to have wifi that didnt make me sign in every few minutes (or wired ethernet that didnt make me sign in at all) or breakfast that doesnt look and taste like middle school hot lunch (with the styrofoam plates for full effect).
Was there for my sons wedding... Ive never seen an old concept like a kitchenette (assortment of various silverware included) hot plate/ cooktop coffeemaker... Taken to a casual Perfection.. Needless to say I would definitely recommend this motel n will try to visit this beautiful city so I can stay at the Homewood Suites by Hilton!!
We have stayed here twice and everything about it is excellent. From our latest 2021 pandemic experience traveling the California coast, this property has not taken a hit in services or cleanliness. Would definitely stay again. And the Vantis and surrounding area is quiet and attractive and fun.
The hotel was very clean and quiet. The amenities offered were also nice, I enjoyed relaxing on the patio by the fire. The only slight issue: 1) I wasnt aware that there would not be room service during my stay. 2) The ceiling fan was making a loud, creaking noise and I had to turn it off. Other than those minor issues my stay was very nice.
Nice room. Didnt like I had to pay for parking. It was limited so you had to park down the street in a parking garage and walk several blocks to the hotel. If theres not enough parking they shouldnt charge you $10 a night on top of their already high rates. Pool area could have been a little nicer. Front desk was often not at the desk, you had to stand and wait for someone to come which didnt feel real secure considering they should be watching the front door for people coming in. They should put more towels in rooms where there are double beds because obviously there are more people staying in the room than just one person and if theyre not going to provide room service unless you stay five or more nights, they should make sure you have adequate supplies for your stay. Overall it was okay its a nice size room.
Decent hotel suite with a nice kitchenette and bathroom. I would give full stars except the chairs were absolutely filthy and could not be sat on. The area is perfect to walk to a small coffee shop and many hair salons nearby. If youre up for a 30 min round trip walk, there are tons of restaurants, shops, and even a movie theatre a little up the road.
Fan included was awesome! We could open the windows and that was awesome too! The Robert is great, pool and hot tub was great. But we had a lack of cleanliness in our room- a pair of socks showed up randomly when we moved the table/food rests, the chairs were super strained and discolored.
Awful. Iced I could it it zero stars I would. Dirty, disgusting rooms, the fans above the beds may never have been dusted since the hotel opened. It was so dirty that it made my kids cough and stuffy all night. And this was the second room we checked into. The first room had a broken lightbulb glass everywhere and smelled terribly of cigarette smoke. Also you cannot access the stairs from the first floor, they are all locked. You can only go down the stairs not up, and the elevator is janky at best. Seems like an awful fire hazard to me. Do not waste you money on this hotel. It is DISGUSTING!!!!!
The staff here are great and very friendly. The main issue i had is with the room. The first I got had some leftover food in one of cupboards, the shower head had mold on it, the carpet needed vacuuming, and many more gross things. The second room we moved to was a little better but still pretty bad. The bed felt like I was sleeping on cardboard, the room had a musty smell to it, the shower was missing a shower curtain, shower floor was chipped and rusted.I should note most furniture in both rooms was in bad shape. Chips and discoloration all over the place. I ended up leaving after the first day.Staff was very friendly and did not give me any trouble for canceling my reservation earlier.I think the rooms just need some TLC and this place would be great!
We had a great stay. The staff was wonderful and the grounds were beautiful and very well kept. Really nice area to walk around. We were very pleased with the variety for the daily breakfast service. About 20 minutes to the beaches, which wasnt a bad drive. We would highly recommend staying here. Definitely worth the price.
My family and I enjoyed our stay here. Very happy and satisfied with the service, room size and amenities. Love its great value for money! Our kids did not want to go home coz they felt so cozy in our room, they were literally crying when we were about to leave. LOL =)
Location is in a nice safe community. Lots of restaurants within a 10 minute walk/2 minute car ride. Nice outdoor area with fireplaces. Rooms are a good size, though there is some wear and tear. Kitchen is well equipped. The restaurant/bar wasnt opened even though Covid restrictions are lifted. And housekeeping has to be booked in advance - we were initially told it was only available after 2 days, but they managed to sort it out the next day.
Mixed bag. The young lady at the front desk was nice, but failed to inform us of the parking fee or that overflow parking was a block away in a parking structure. The area is convenient to restaurants, etc.The room was not clean, kitchen and appliances were filthy. Makes me worry about their commitment to cleanliness. We ended up cleaning everything ourselves. We also encouraged dog feces in the hall. Our room (odd number side) was noisy from the dog park right outside. Some of the furniture was we’ll worn.We reported the lack of cleanliness and dog feces and only got a generic reply from corporate, nothing from the hotel which tells me they simply don’t care.
Super disappointed that I’m unable to check-in until later this afternoon. The area is nice; but I’m now unable to do any work for 2 hours until they permit check-in. Marriott chains are generally more flexible to traveling customers; unlike what I’ve experienced here. I will not be continuing business with Hilton .
Okay hotel, nice area. The staff is friendly enough but the cleanliness was lacking. There were stains all over the dining room chairs, ring stains on the couch arm rest, hairs on our towels, and on the 3rd day we were there, we found ants - which continued to get worse (even though we were very conscious about putting food away). Was not impressed and probably wont be back.
Great hotel! Dog friendly. Paid only 125 pet deposit for my months stay. Incredible rate compared to other hotels charging a nightly fee. Everyone at the front desk is accommodating. It is in a safe nice neighborhood to take a walk, try out the coffee shop just a block away!
Our stay was overall ok. We did have some issues during our stay. One night the card reader from our door stopped working and needed the batteries changed. The person who was at the front desk very nice and helped solve the issue as soon as possible. She even offered us free drinks and took a nights stay off of our hotel bill. The next day the drain to our shower was clogged and needed to be fixed. This was fixed the same day we called about the issue. There were many friendly people who worked at this hotel but there were others who were not so friendly. One morning we went downstairs to ask for 2 breakfast boxes and the guy working at the front desk was very rude and acted like we were bothering him. A couple days later my husband went down to get breakfast while I was getting ready. They had breakfast set up in the lobby and he picked up two breakfast sandwiches. There was a sign that said one per person. The lady working there scolded him for taking two sandwiches even though he explained there were two of us in the room. He complained to the person working at the front desk. She told him maybe your wife should come downstairs herself to get her breakfast. I believe this was very bad customer service. A better approach would have been to just politely asked how many people are staying in our room. I also think rooms could have been cleaner and the hotel property itself could be maintained better.
Positive: Easy to the freeway and close to Starbucks. This is a cheap hotel if you need it for work. One mile away from Farmer Boys if you need breakfast. Negative: Old, dated, dirty, walls dirty. No Double Tree Cookie, restaurant is closed, 20 bucks for parking. I would never bring my family here. It¿s too old and dated. This is simply a place to sleep, shower, and keep your stuff somewhere for work.
My husband and I stayed here 3 years ago and loved it. We love coming to Cali for vacation and this time we were highly disappointed in this hotel. The room was dirty, the wallpaper was falling of the walls, and the worst is bed bugs. I have never in my life had bed bugs. They had no other rooms, so we decided to check out the next morning. After we checked out, I spent my entire vacation scratching bites on my legs and feet. We ended up having to stay in a different city, which worked out in our favor. Beware of this hotel. You will leave with bed bugs and their painful bites.
What an awesome hotel! Friendly staff, super clean, rooms are spacious, kitchens are excellent, the location in Laguna Niguel is fantastic, and theres plenty of convenient parking.Im a distance runner, and the fitness center here was superb, too. The treadmills felt great, and there are actual free weights in the gym. Maybe the best fitness center Ive ever seen in a hotel.Id definitely recommend this place if you want to be near Laguna Beach and want to stay somewhere nice, but dont want to pay an arm and a leg.
Nice Hilton hotel in an industrial park that I think primarily caters to business people. The suites are beautiful and well-appointed especially the full kitchen. It’s a few minutes drive to Aliso Beach, Dana Point or Laguna Beach so this is a good lodging option if you want a more quiet place. The breakfast is good and the breakfast area has a good vibes to it.
The Suite was in a beautiful area, plenty of restaurants and shopping near by. The room was beautiful and was like a studio apartment. The front desk was very nice and helpful, would come again. The reason for 4 stars is the room was not completely cleaned, the carpet was not vacuumed well, there were obvious chips in the table, and I could tell the remote control had not been cleaned in a while. It had dust and bits of easily cleanable crumbs on it. I also came in at 1am and no one was at the front, I called and waited there for 5 min and no one came. I called down in the morning and no one answered, I went down and only one person was working, considering she was helping with breakfast and handling the front desk, two people should have been scheduled. The young lady was very sweet though. Would go again but make sure the room was cleaner.
Good value. Good location.Room was clean and relatively newer.Front desk lady who checked us in was very nice. The early morning gentleman was a little short with me.Breakfast box was good. Two hard-boiled eggs, a bagel with cream cheese, a yogurt and an orange juice. For a boxed breakfast, it was good.
Overall a nice hotel with kitchen, microwave and fridge. Kitchen comes with utensils, dishes, toaster, measuring cups, etc, and garbage disposal. Fridge has a bad stain that couldn’t be wiped. The room was mostly clean but we did do a wipe down and Lysol spray anyways. Carpeted area seemed dirty.Dog friendly hotel and nice areas for pet relief.TV channels do not match TV guide, no chrome cast and super poor resolution. WiFi is super slow, even paid $8.95 for the premium for 24 hrs and it was still very slow. T-Mobile has no reception in the room.Breakfast was ok - M-F is continental and only allows 1 item per section and not really sure what that means. Staff mentioned does not allow bags and items should fit the paper box provided at the entrance. Weekend is hot breakfast- remember to use hand sanitizer in front of the staff before opening the lids. Was called out by staff. Felt like I was being watched for every item I took. Ended up ordering breakfast from Grubhub the last 2 days to avoid the scrutiny. Seven Seas Coffee is a nice choice.Bathroom smelled like sewage (Labor Day weekend) maybe cause of red tides but still. Keep bathroom door shut while in the room. Or run the shower a bit.AC is very loud while it is running. There is a fan.Bed is a spring bed and I can feel the springs against my back when sleeping.Parking is 10 a night staff will provide a tag and charge the room - no gates. If full need to go 2 blocks down to garage.Overall ok stay but would not come again.
My mom, two children and I stayed at this hotel for five nights. We found the hotel to be very clean and bright and the staff very friendly. I thought the location was great - close enough to the beach and handy to hiking trails, too. When we return to California, we will most definitely stay here again.
Came here for a wedding and had nothing but trouble since checking in... 2 of us were given room keys to rooms that had guests in it from the night before...finally able to check in and room was not clean at all and covered in dog hair including the desk and kitchen area...breakfast ran out one of the mornings...nothing but drama!!
I give it two stars only because the staff was friendly and that accounts for something. The room was also decent however, I am totally blown away and the lack of concern or safety for that matter for their guest. Especially being a domain member with Hilton. I am completely appalled how I was treated when I got back to the hotel around midnight on a Saturday night. There were no places to park what so ever! I went inside and aske where do I park. 2 maybe 3 blocks away if you count the street coming into the complex. We had to park 3 blocks away in a garage and walk back at midnight. Two girls walking at midnight for maybe half a mile. There was a party going on in one of the condos across the street. Thank god we also had a man that had to park there too and walk back with us. Although he had to be maybe 75-80 years old at least he was a man. I couldn’t believe they let him walk that far also actually. They had zero concern for our safety. I told her My husband is a diamond member. She couldn’t have cared less. Diamond member meaning we have over 1k stays at Hilton properties. We should have a few perks. One of them should have been a parking spot! Never in my life have I felt so disrespected. If I would have had to walk alone back I would have left and got a room somewhere else. They do not care one bit for your safety. Never again!
Jerilyn and the team at the front desk made sure that we were comfortable and taken care of. We needed to stay in an ADA room prior to my mothers upcoming surgery since her house was not feasible to live in while injured. Jerilyn helped to smoothly extend our stay when surgery was booked out, made sure that we had everything we need, and even gave us information for a local caretaker to help give me a break from the round-the-clock care. I highly recommend staying here! The service and hospitality is the best I have found!
Dirty room does not look fresh, the hotel is in a great location the rooms get a ton of usage and it shows. Time for a remodel or lower your standards its not a Hilton standard. I booked 4 rooms since we were attending a wedding in the location cant believe what a dingy property.I called in with a special request which was over looked I need to call house cleaning to borrow cleaning supplies and bleach to get rid of the mold in our closet. The picture looks so much better , there is a beautiful out door patio which you can not enjoy cause this property is short staff I was told.Short staff filled 100% sold out most nights but short staff to clean common areas so as a guess please be careful in common areas. If you have not had your vacine I would not stay at this property the best way to describe the hotel is just putting lipstick on a pig to pretty it up
Rooms are nice and clean and service was nice. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, no evening social and breakfast is just boxed and you need to reserve the pool. Unfortunately they charge $10 per night to park your own car and this charge is not mentioned on their website or when you book your reservation.
I want to thank front desk team for an exceptional professionalism and being on top of every request. My family had a great time staying in the hotel. We were travelling with our dog and we had plenty of nice walks around the building. Pool was great and never crowded. Housekeeping were super friendly and attentive and always there if you need to exchange towels, etc. Hotel has a great location! 15 mins to Laguna beach, walking distance to stores and dining, 20 minutes to Newport, close to dog parks, trails. Thank you again for our great time in Aliso Viejo!
This is a newer, really well designed hotel with large rooms and full kitchens in every room. The hot breakfast buffet used to be great before coming. Now its limited items with egg muffins. Mediocre.Pool, and hot spa are all perfect temperature. Nice gym.The Laguna Beach tag is very misleading. Its 15 minutes away via Laguna Canyon. This is a corporate stay hotel. We are local and were having house termite tented.Originally booked Hilton Doubletree in Dana Point but immediately moved as the place IMO is a Dump! Its walking distance to Doheney State Beach across the street but also 75 from the 5 freeway on ramp.Rooms are smaller, much older and poorly maintained.Very happy with 3 days we spent Homewood suites.
I loved it, the pictures on the web are exactly the same. No gimmicks at this hotel. I liked that the parking is only $10 a night not like other hotels they charge 20 or more, so I respect that.Only thing I had a problem with was that they kept the toilet paper from the previous stay in the restroom.
Our family absolutely loved this hotel! Every single staff member was kind and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. Our room was very clean and spacious for our family of four. And the location is great for vacation because you are literally a minute from the Town Center, filled with great restaurants and plenty of things to do.
Will never stay there again. The room itself didnt even have a full bathroom with a door. There was trash under the pullout couch, a couple stains on the blankets, and the parking was ridiculous. They dont have enough parking for all guests so they make you park one block away if the lot is full, and then tell you tha you need to get your car out of that parking spot by 7:00am the next morning or you will be towed. Absolutely ridiculous.
Big fail. Id stayed here before in 2019 and had a wonderful stay which is why i went back.. This was a big fail. Dirty beds, dirty poorly maintained elevators, rude front desk people 2nd night. One was just not helpful and I had to wait for the the other who berated a customer in front of me and that customer was not only right, but respectful. Disposal didnt work. Wont go back.
We had an awesome time in Laguna Beach and this was a great area to stay in because of the easy access to shops/restaurants around. In terms of cleanliness, I do feel the rooms were dirty even though there are stickers everywhere. The brown carpet is not a good choice...and the shower etc. could be cleaner.I did not appreciate all of the closed areas within the hotel. Since it was super hot (120F) this weekend, we could not eat outside on any restaurant patio & we sat down with our take-out in the lobby area --which was empty, to eat. We were told that the area is closed and not to do that again. So the lobby area is closed, the outside patio was closed, and the pool was open for 1 hr appointments and it was not the cleanest either. The water is a bit cloudy/murky and we all got green stains on our swimsuits after swimming. Also, please get better coffee in the rooms or in the lobby! It was terrible!
Great hotel, nice dining and pool area. The only nit picky less than perfect item: the elevators were super stinky for some reason when we were there in August this year... like an old sneaker or a dog kennel, but the rooms were clean and very nice. Not great for families with toddlers because most of the rooms have showers only and have the rain shower head, without a removable handle. The dining area is nice and food was very good. They serve breakfast and happy hour M-F, I believe. Front desk staff were very accommodating and friendly.
Sadly, I have to report another hotel that HAS NOT met industry nor C.D.C. standards for cleanliness. This hotel is located in a nice, quiet residential area, not far from Laguna Beach.Initially I was checked into room 412, however, that room was not clean. The person at the front desk accommodated me to the second room (408). I inspected the room and pointed out my findings to him; hairs in the refrigerator, unclean microwave, dirty bathroom floor. He then went downstairs to find another available room and called me to meet him at 427. I inspected that room and though I still found things that needed to be cleaned; refrigerator, microwave, tables, I accepted the room because it was light cleaning and I was tired. There were some other weird things going on in the hotel, like the maintenance guy following me into the parking lot to see where I was parked and this morning I found a note on the door of my vehicle, but I wont digress.I spoke with the manager this morning and she, along with the front desk man that helped me yesterday, were able to correct the issue to my satisfaction. There is free parking and WiFi here and the pool is available for use.The front desk was VERY helpful and understanding and I appreciate them for all their help.
Before booking this hotel, please read the review first!Usually, we have a great experience with Hilton or by Hilton Hotels but not this time.Good things first:The Hotel is lovely, the room is big enough, with good looking furniture and even had a small kitchen. Nice feature if you travel with Kids. But the service is just not what you expect from Hilton Hotel or the standards it claims. We have a high tolerance level but these issues are just really annoying:1)Very bad internet to make customers switch to paid solutions. (cmon bad internet in nearly 2021??2)At check-in, we were informed that room service would have to be booked separately if required during the pandemic. Which we expected we were fine with that. After 3 nights we booked our first room service, which has been done as scheduled. But when we asked for a second service after 2 Nights, the Staff member at the desk unfriendly informed us that they only provide room service every 5 days.We explained that we were not informed about this policy, but the staff member showed us a small notice (for the staff only btw.) with this 5 days comment to turn customers requests down.So our request was promptly declined. The staff didnt even try to apologize and acknowledge the mistake of misinformation and even tried to make us look stupid by saying we are asking for service every day...(which was a lie looking at our records of asks and by the way, everyday service, is a standard process for hotels am I right?). And really we were asking just to vacuum our room at least. The hotel trying to make their point and make us look as we were not in the position to request Room service made our vacation and the stay at this hotel unpleasant and we decided to check-out and leave earlier as planned and booked.A proper acknowledgment and apology would maybe a better solution but instead, they wanted to be right at any cost.Decide for yourself but, I wouldnt recommend this Hotel.
Wasnt up to the standards I was expecting being a diamond member also had some cleanliness issues with pillows as well as my privacy not being respected by people entering my room with out permission going through my personal Belongings when Im not in the room despite having a do not disturb sign on the door.
I called the reservation line to confirm they would accept cash at check in, I was assured they would so I booked directly with their family of hotels reservation line. I drive 16 miles from my intended destination and the snotty manager stated that she can’t take cash. She then wouldn’t even take my state disability card as a form of payment. Immediately judged me, and begins announcing to the lobby that unemployment cards are not accepted either because, and I quote “this is Aliso Viejo”.You really shouldn’t judge someone, 6 months ago I had 3 business locations until a debilitating car accident. I’m here to reopen these businesses, and I am likely carrying more cash than you make in 5 years.Corporate will be notified of your attitude. You aren’t suitable to manage a Burger King.
Perfect place to stay. Clean and friendly. Very warm and cozy feeling in the lounge. Decorated for the holiday season.Anthony at the front desk was the icing on the cake. Always friendly, helpful and an asset to your company! Would highly recommend this hotel. My stay was for 9 days.
We stayed in July, 2020 during Covid 19 so the number one concern is cleanness and social distance. Lobby was clean and open, check-in went very smooth. They have hand sanitizer and signs posted for guest to keep social distance. Our room door had the Hilton seal from housekeeping and they did mention to guests that there is no room service during stay to avoid physical contacts and someone else going into guest room during stay.Hotel staffs are very nice and helpful. There were some miscommunication and misunderstanding during our stay that caused some issues but the manager got back to me and resolved it quickly. I truly appreciate it their professionalism. As they are dealing with COVID and adjusting to the new normal, there are couple suggestions1) Remind guests to wear masks in the common area. They did have a sign but many were not obeying to the rules.2) Since there is no room service provided during stay, provide guest with extra amenity bag/kit for longer stay guests at check-in or leave an amenity bag by the door in the morning from housekeeping to avoid constant runs to the Front desk for towels, toilet paper and other amenities.3) The parking fee seems to be a newly added thing. The hotel is located in a residential/corporate office rural area. It would be nice if they stop charging for parking.Overall it was good experience and would stay again.
DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY. PARKING IS HORRIBLE THERE IS NONE!!! YET YOUR ARE CHARGED AND TOLD TO PARK 2 BLOCKS AWAY IN A PARKING STRUCTURE AND WALK TO THE HOTEL. THE PARKING LOT IS NOT MONITORED FOR NON HOTEL GUESTS AND THATS A HUGE PROBLEM.ONCE YOU PARK DONT LEAVE ... CALL UBER YOU WONT HAVE A SPOT WHEN YOU RETURN
Staff was not very friendly. We were to get a one bedroom suite with a view instead we received a studio. The light on the fan did not turn off so we were unable to use the fan. The sheets did not stay on the bed and the pillows were very uncomfortable. Made forAn awful night sleep
There are things to enjoy at this modern hotel but there were also several frustrations. I have the highest elite status but my first room was across from the ice machine, and hallway noise was a concern. The courtesy of the front desk staff was inconsistent. Breakfast was tasty but crowded with lots of tables for two while many guests were families. Laundry facilities were a positive with several washers. My kids enjoyed the pool and the pool table. Housekeeping was also a positive.
Ive stayed here 4 times in the last 4 months. The staff is extremely friendly. The rooms are modern and clean. The bed is comfortable, although the pillows are a little too soft for my liking. My only real issue is, every single time that Ive stayed, the ceiling fan and lights on the ceiling fan will turn on and off at random times throughout the day and I would be no where near the switch! Sometimes itll be one or the other, sometimes both at the same time. My co-workers that have also stayed here said theyve experienced the same thing.
Rooms were large and clean. There is a full size fridge, microwave, stove top and dishwasher in the kitchen. Beds are comfortable and guest service were very nice. Room wall are a bit thin but overall I would recommend this hotel and I would stay again. Its in a cute neighborhood with shops all around.
After a long drive coming to hotel, we were surprised to find only one of two rooms were available from our confirmed reservation. When we tried to find out why this happened, the attendant was quick to blame the third party website for that without offering any real solutions. Her lack of empathy with my kids crying in the back from fatigue made me realize management needs to be aware of this attitude and behaviour. Later we found out that it was the hotel management that overlooked our confirmed booking request and sold one of our rooms to a guest. I hope this review helps the owners better select employees that represent their business.
Terrible! Just stayed here August 2020. Nothing is the same. I visited this hotel 7-9 times in the year just to relax and get away but this time no warning everything was closed included gym, fire place, etc even the delicious breakfast was not available just a bag of water , store bought muffin, apple and orange. The pillows have downgraded and the hotel looks dirty. Sum it up don’t pay just to stay locked up in a dirty hotel room and pay a full price and they shouldn’t display online what amenities they have if you can’t have access to them. Disappointed won’t be visiting again.
This is a beautiful hotel. The evening socials are wonderful the food is really delicious for the evening socials and breakfasts. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Nick at the front desk was so friendly and helped us find everything we needed. The rooms are big and so comfortable, beds are comfortable. Stores & theatre are very close. We loved staying here.
If I could give zero stars, I would.Room wasnt as advertisedUpcharged for fast internet speeds without the service being applied to our room (2MB via speed test)TV didnt work, front desk (Hector) was rude/confrontational when asked for help.Hector refused to move us to a different room (perhaps a room that actually matched the description of our selection)Gold membership didnt come with any of the advertised perksDead spider found inside measuring cup in kitchen drawerTrash sat outside our door for final three days of stayVending machine didnt work on our floorOverall, an absolutely horrible experience and questioning if Ill ever stay with Hilton again.
The BEST hotel Ive ever visited...I love this place!- The breakfast & dinner (that are INCLUDED with the cost of your room) are phenomenal!- The staff is always friendly & eager to help.- The rooms are great; large, comfortable & CLEAN!- Outside patio with Fire-Pit - Awesome!I cant believe it only has a 3-Star rating.- This place is seriously worth the money. You will not be disappointed with your stay!
Homewood suites is a beautiful hotel, its at a quiet and secure environment, with lots of stores and restaurants less than 5 minutes drive from there. The rooms are amazing as well and I really enjoyed being here. Courteous and friendly staff too. O yes, there is a full breakfast and it tastes awesome.
Lovely hotel. Friendly staff. Free continental breakfast daily. and its a good one. Cereal oatmeal boiled eggs waffle makers muffins croissants bagels and a hot section with some sort of eggs meat and hash browns. Juice and milk too. And fresh fruit. 6am til sometime during business week and starts at7 on the weekend. Also free beer and wine five to seven PM Mon to Thurs and some sort of dinner.Rooms are gorgeous.Lovely walking path down to a Cinema and food/shopping.
Homewood Suites is a nice, clean hotel with basic amenities. No room service, no ice bucket, no real restaurant area (just a lounge open at specific times), housekeeping leaves after normal business hours and if you need anything, you go get it from the front. Other than that, the rooms are a good use of space with a nice little kitchen and will comfortably sleep a family for a night or two.
We stayed in this hotel last year when visiting LA from Dallas. And again this year we decided to book a room there. It s a very nice hotel, rooms are clean with free parking and complimentary breakfast. But what made our stay very remarkable this year, is the lady with the short blond hair in the breakfast area every morning. She is very welcoming and will go out of her way to ask you if everything is ok and if you need anything. Every time she sees you she will strike up a little conversation with you and try to make you feel like home. I forgot to ask her name but I just wanted to thank her. We will definitely come again !
INCREDIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE… I will be back again. This is my second time staying here and I will continue to stay here when I travel. Quick story… I brought my family on a work trip and they stayed at the that hotel with me. My wife was managing our four kids while I was on multiple conference calls. I was working from the beautiful courtyard and missed breakfast because I was on calls and not able to break away.... Tito (employee of the Hotel) could see what was happening and not only did he help my wife and four kids, he brought me a plate of food and drinks while I was on my phone calls. I thanked him afterwards and asked what I could do for him, he simply replied “this is plenty, thank you”.I hope Tito is recognized and appreciated for the incredible job he is doing. Thanks again!
Hotel is very clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is free with a variety of choices like fresh fruit salad, waffles, eggs, etc. Laundry facilities on site accept credit cards. The one thing that I didnt like was that they have no reserved parking for diamond members but have close to 20 spots for electric and hybrid cars.
This is one of my best experiences in an extended stay hotel; it really doesnt feel like one. The staff is outstanding and consistently work hard to make you feel at home and taken care of. They dont have a restaurant, but they have a happy hour that, much of the time, easily provides enough good food to take care of dinner. Thats available every day but Monday, if I recall. With Happy Hour, they serve single selections of wine & beer. They do have a good hot breakfast -- not fancy or world-class, but solid and convenient. The rooms are clean and spacious, the amenities reasonable. The WiFi is okay, but you have to kick in $10/day for high-speed WiFi. I checked the speeds and the high-speed is definitely faster. They have a good TV and the usual premium channels.Good beds, a choice of firmness/size for the pillows, beautiful bathrooms. As I said, better than your typical extended stay hotel. You can get a good price and room calling them directly and being friendly to the very friendly, helpful staff. Good restaurants are in reasonable walking distance and, certainly, easy driving distance.
This hotel was excellent. The rooms are extremely spacious and very clean and new. The staff is wonderful, and its quiet at night. The air worked really well and the fitness center is amazing! Treadmills, weights, machines and even a foam roller. Highly recommend this hotel.
We reserved a room here 30 days in advance. The room we reserved was a standard room with 2 queen beds. Upon our scheduled arrival we checked in and were given our room number and card keys. We went to our room and when entering noticed we had a King Size Bed and a Pull Out Hide-A-Bed Couch, obviously NOT what we were expecting nor what we reserved. We called down to the front desk and was told Sorry but we are sold out and this is all we can do for you. They were nice enough to bring up extra bedding and pillows to help with our stay. The reason I am giving them a 5 Star Rating is because the next day a gentleman called my wife and reduced the cost of the room pretty significantly to help with the misunderstanding. We were not expecting this compensation. Thank you Homewood Suites! We will be back next year!
Cant really complain about anything the rooms were clean, spacious and modern. Beds were comfortable with tons of pillows. Breakfast buffet is great and its not just cereal and muffins, they have eggs sausages, fruits yogurt etc. it was a good spread for being included and the staff was friendly and helpful when we had a problem with the reservation.
My favorite chain hotel to go to is always HomeWood Suites. Since we usually need a large hotel room, HomeWood Suites always fit all of us. I love the evening reception, and how we can get a free dinner meal on the weekdays. This Homewood suites is in a great location. Breakfast was great. I would say our room decor was a little unclean. There were broken and dirty pieces of furniture here and there, but it didnt really affect our stay.
I booked the hotel a month ago via Expedia. However, I had to change my plans and cancelled my reservation. Successfully cancelled, received cancellation confirmation through Expedia. Then I found out that my credit card was charged for the booking! (without any communication from the hotel) When we call in, they insisted that I cancelled late. Regardless of the confirmation I have already received. They also seemed to try everything they can to avoid respond to the issue over the past month. Every time you call in, the manager who can make the decision was never available. They also has not responded to any email communications from Expedia. Truly disappointing. Think twice when you book and make sure you dont run into similar problems. I am still stuck and not reached any conclusions after a month and multiple communications.
Clean, friendly service, complimentary breakfast & dinner....what else could you want? We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite with my 2 kids, ages 11 and 8. There were 2 queen beds and a sleeper sofa in the sitting area. The beds were very comfortable. The sofa bed was very thin or needed replacement. We could really feel the springs under the padding. Even at 115 lbs, the springs sagged in the middle for me.We didnt cook in the kitchenette but having cutlery, serviceware, microwave, and full size fridge was very convenient. We were staying here because our wood flooring was being replaced due to a leak and it was definitely nice to have the kitchenette to save unfinished food and to reheat it.My only complaints are the shower and the noise. The shower temperature fluctuated warm and cool every 3 seconds. In the first half of my shower, I also kept needing to increase the temperature. The temp stabilized after awhile so I think its dependent on how many people are using their water from the same line of pipes. The walls also are not great at insulating against noise. I could clearly hear my neighbor when she was speaking loudly to her kids, presumably, that she was going down to do laundry. If you have inconsiderate neighbors, it could be a painful stay. Thankfully our neighbors seem to have checked out because I havent heard much commotion and its already 8:36pm. Youll also hear people from the hallway. Thats common in most hotels. All in all, with the complimentary hot breakfast and dinner, hot coffee in the lobby, and other usual freebies, Id give it a thumbs up. We didnt partake in the alcohol during the evening social but I presume theres no extra charge for that.
It met all my needs. I booked in this hotel to be close the business offices complex near by.The standards were high. The staff were polite and friendly. The establishment provides breakfast in the morning and snacks in the afternoon.Highly recommend Homewood if you have business in Aliso Viejo.
I stayed at the hotel for two nights it was not a good experience. We booked a couple of rooms. My light kept coming on in the middle of the night and waking us up and they said they was not any maintenance available during the night that they would send someone up during the day. They sent up someone and said the light just needed to be programed and the same thing happened the next night. The trash was over flowing in the restrooms in the lobby. We tried to buy something at the front desk and it took about 20 minutes. The Jacuzzi did not work right. The breakfast was horrible they severed tater tots and luch meat slices of Canadian bacon over cooked. They were out of everything even butter and juice. On a good note the rooms were clean. I think they were just not prepared to be open yet. It seemed like no one was in charge and no one knew what they were doing. Oh and before I forget where you eat breakfast is a pool table in the room so there were children be extremely loud while you eat your breakfast. All and all not a good experience at all seeing how this was my first impression of a Hilton. Maybe in time it will improve. They definitely need to do some adjustments. The Marriott across the way was the same rate and my friend said it was a amazing experience.
Location of the property is a little off the beaten path, but was filled to capacity on a week night. Very clean, modern and comfortable. A light dinner was served, complimentary, as well as adult drinks. Breakfast was delicious and plenty. Overall a five star review from me.
Who charges such a high pet fee for someone who is displaced from their home from a fire that very day? Thats cold. Also, whoever is at the front desk is rude, and this is coming from someone who only writes reviews when a 5 star is warranted. Poor judgment here, we will find another hotel if our home is still in an evacuation zone tomorrow.
Very nice and affordable prices. Great rooms and a homey feel. Complimentary breakfast was somewhat disappointing but you cant complain about free. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Pool was very warm and highly chlorinated.Edit: Stairwells lock on the stair side disallowing reentery to floor hall. There is no indication for this nor is there a centrally located unlocked staircase. This may violate IBC 2006 building codes. Removed a star.
Furniture is worn and scratched. Doors have huge dings and stains in them. Dust and cobwebs on lamps. Smears/fingerprints on furniture. Floors were never clean, especially in the corners you could see dirt and hair. Carpet crunchy. Kitchen utensils bent.Dark rooms. Also weird that they use a bed skirt as a blanket in all of their locations ?! Its always between the main comforter and the sheets.Breakfast was bland and bagels/bread/pastries were stale. Also there was not enough room to sit down so we went outside and all of the patio furniture was wet.
Suites are small, amenities are few. Not enough coffee in room, sofa bed was awful. Breakfast was decent, however the types of coffee was moved around, had to search for decaf and robust. Centrally located with lots of restaurants close by. The bar had weird hours, never knew if it would be open at the end of each day.
I am a loyal Marriott guy and spend about 2 weeks a month in Aliso Viejo for work but I stay here when they have an open room. By far the best hotel in Aliso Viejo in my opinion. Awesome staff, updated and roomy suites, great breakfasts and evening mixers. My only complaint is its hard to get a room because they are constantly full. Cant blame them though. Travelers now know of this gem!
We stayed here for a week. The rooms are nice, big and everything worked well. The housekeeping did a good job. The continental breakfast was one of the worst breakfasts Ive had in a hotel. The wifi is some of the slowest wifi I have ever used and the $9 upgraded wifi is the same thing. There are no cell phone towers near so cell phone service was terrible in this location. Overall my stay was a little below average. I would not stay at this hotel again.
This is not what I wouldve expected from a Hilton hotel. I called a few days in advance requesting that there would be a crib in our room for our 5 month old baby. It was not ready for us when we arrived and it took the staff several hours to get one for us. They also did not give us a reason why it was taking them so long. If you travel with a baby, you know how important it is for them to be able to take naps when they need to.We also discovered that our box of tissues was soaking wet for reasons I dont know. We found an earwig bug in our closet. And the spare linens for the fold out bed only included a top sheet. I had to call the front desk again to have them bring that to me. It seemed pretty clear to me that there we were not having a good experience on our first day, but the staff did not make any attempt to compensate us for our bad experience.Breakfast was good, but its served out of a tiny room where you have to shuffle with all the other guests that are trying to get breakfast.IMO, this hotel had nice furniture and felt like it was new, but it is being poorly managed.
Great Hotel . Our family of four (18 months and 5 year old) had a great time for a full week. The front desk staff were professional and very polite. Sally was extremely nice and had beautiful smile all the time. There was always free coffee and hot tea at the lobby 24 hours a day. Their breakfast was excellent. There were 3 staff always there restocking food and cleaning the tables. They were greeting everybody with smile and were trying to have short conversation with all guests. Natalie, Carlos, and Marta were extremely nice and friendly. They were kids friendly and it seemed they really loved what they were doing. They had fresh fruits, yogurt, oatmill, toast, bagels, breakfast cakes, waffles, 3 types of cearial, milk, juices, sausage, omelette, potatoes... All fresh and tasty. The room was spotless . Shower was large and there was an iron and blow dry in the closet. The blow dry was good and not like other hotels old and weak. The kitchen area in the room was very nice. There was a set of dishes for 4 people, knives, can opener, coffee maker and washing supply ( sponge, dish washer liquid, towel, paper towel..). There was a desk, sofa and chair in each room. The free wifi was strong we had connection all around the Hotel even in a parking area. The pool was clean and they were maintaining it everyday.Every evening they were offering complimentory snack which we had just one time. They served chicken nuggets, coleslaw, salad, soup, red potatoes, veggies and dips. Each floor had a ice Machine and a trash can which was always kept empty and clean. The keys were digital and the room was quite.Everything was great and everyone was warm and welcoming.
The location of this hotel is kind of in a different spot surrounded by office buildings.the hotel itself is very nice, new and modern. The rooms are also nice, new, modern and clean. The personnel at the front desk are not overly friendly or helpful but they are efficient.
**Traveler beware! Stay somewhere else. I am honestly shocked with the unprofessional and terrible service I received from the management team at Homewood Suites in Aliso Viejo. Both Gino, the general manager, and Susan, the booking manager (I believe that is her name), told me they would look into a booking issue I had with this hotel and get back to me. Susan never called me back but charged my card even though I am disputing the booking. After calling Gino several times and leaving a couple of messages he did finally call me back to hear my issue. He said he would need to access the secure information about my booking on a computer he didnt currently have access to and call me back. That was 6 days ago. I called and left him a message 3 days ago and still no response. The Hilton name and reputation is far better than the service I have received. It is shocking that leaders/managers would disregard a customer like this. It says volumes about this hotel and I am sure it is reflected in the entire culture and business practice. It is too bad because I am a frequent traveler and have gone to this exact area 3 times in the last 6 weeks. I am a valued Marriott customer and obviously need to continue only staying at Marriotts.
I had a wonderful stay at the Homewood Suites! Would stay again.Quiet location. Quaint hotel about 20 minutes drive from the nearest beach.Rooms were spacious and well-kept. No problems with internet access or tv. Comfy bed and couch. Breakfast was nothing special, but the hotel had hot food options available. Evening social provided complimentary beer and wine alongside hors d’voures. Overall, a great option for families traveling.
Absolutely Wonderful Hotel! Staff goes out if there way to make you happy! Beds are comfortable!!Cant beat the HUGE free breakfast, free evening socials with food/beer/wine, free internet, free parking, refrigerator, and cooktop!Would totally stay here again in a heartbeat!!
Ok now the stay is complete and I can leave a full review. Nicholas at front desk went above and beyond to make our families stay special and has obvious bright future in hospitality industry!!!Simply stated Hilton is HOSPITALITY!It should be so simple but so many chains miss it. (Like Quality Inn Grand Junction where Rick the Mgr. Should seek employment outside hospitality industry). Treat guest the way you want to be treated and this Hilton Hotel was spot on!Now, regarding the hotel facility itself. Dont consider staying anywhere else! Even if its a bit less expensive. You will miss out on a first class experience! We took the three bed suite. Upon arrival the place is so warm and inviting with a fire going in contained fireplace in bright clean modern lobby. Every detail seemed to be well thought out right up to the larger Apple computers in business center. Which made Billy so happy, my 17 year old self teaching himself code.Entering the room I got great job Dad from my teen aged sons as they all made dibs on their beds.A center parlor living room separated the two well appointed sleeping quarters and allowed for max privacy for wife and I and extreme comfort. Three TVs one in each bedroom and one in parlor area. A full kitchen...what?!?! Next time we will use. Along with the large outside grills next to heated pool and hot tub. This place could be considered a vacation all by itself!!!If local, this is your getaway place and if traveling with kids on vaca? Dont consider staying anywhere else! For the little money spent this is a HUGE VALUE!!! Hands down best experience so far during the Summer of the Dukes!!!
They were rude from the moment we arrived. Supervisor was not very helpful. We were yelled at by the bartender and when we informed the supervisor the way she talked to us she said shes like that with everyone instead of correcting her or offering her apologies. We will never stay there again. You would think they would have better customer service being that it is so expensive. I really expected more and I was very disappointed and dissatisfied with my stay.
The rooms were okay. There are some repairs that need to be made due to animals scratching and biting. There are so few parking spaces that at least a dozen cars parked in the fire lane over night.Due to construction. I didnt stay for breakfast so I am unable to comment on it. The staff was professional.
Clean hotel that is well maintained and staffed by great people. The patio area was well design and a pleasure to relax at. The breakfast was okay, a little cramped when the hotel is full. Also if the hotel is full there is limited parking, as in no parking but staff was accommodating to the situation.
Updated post: I previously had a bad experience with the hotel. However, the general manager did reach out to me and made efforts to ensure what happened to me wouldnt happen to anyone else in the future. For that Im revising my post. The hotel staff is responsive and will work with you in difficult situations.
My grandparents had their home flooded by a pipe burst. They stayed here for a month while the pandemic was first happening. I noticed Geraldine, Hector & Martha made them feel comfortable in this phase until their home was fixed. The staff, the facility made the situation feel more at ease. Thank you Homewood.
Had car problems during my stay and these people couldn’t have been any nicer if they’d been my own family...hahhaha my family isn’t this nice… Seriously these people are so nice, I only wish they were my family. Very accommodating, very helpful, very patient. The room is selfless very clean, very nice, clean, spacious ...well worth the money…
Clean - lots of perks like coffee. Some of the guest were rude and made messes for the breakfast staff but the staff was very hard working and worked with a smile. Cleaning of rooms was done very well except for some of the days it was done in a rush - but was still clean.

2022-06-06Well for starters the bed was not made correctly. Instead of a comforter there was a fitted sheet in its place. It made for a horrible sleep. We also needed some towels so we decided to ask for room service after the third day. They said we needed to stay 5 nights to get that service and it has to be scheduled 24 hours in advance. On the fourth night my son decided to yell through the door we were out of toilet paper! Soooo I had to walk my happy rear end downstairs to get my own re fill of paper . I just it was so weird that a hotel at this price you don’t get your room cleaned, have to get towels and re fill your own soap and toilet paper. Not to mention it was a little dirty when we arrived but decided when they service the room we will let them know but that didn’t happen. Luckily my wife brought Lysol wipes and cleaned the gross spots and floor herself. If you like paying top dollar for a room and doing all your own housekeeping I would say this is definitely the place! Although the breakfast was delightfully good.

2022-01-17Very nice hotel, the location is near a bunch of little shops you can walk to and it was near a small park that goes to a nice shopping center, Also only 15 mins from the beach! The hotel itself was clean and spacious had everything you needed to cook! The only reason I gave 3 stars was because the carpet in there was really dirty and brown and had dirt spots all over it definitely needed to be cleaned and was kind of Gross & The couch looked as if it needed to be cleaned as well!!I also would like to mention the breakfast is not great for this location, Not much of a selection you’ll definitely have to go somewhere for breakfast! I’ve been to Hilton suites where the breakfast was amazing a little disappointing in this one!

2021-12-19Two Rooms, both very clean. The customer service was excellent, and they did something extraordinary. I left a favorite shirt in the closet and the front desk offered to mail it to me. There was a small charge ($15 I think), but I didnt feel comfortable giving my credit card on a form via fax, etc... and they responded by honoring my long term business and mailed it without the fee. Thats classy and Hilton has won my future business, every time. Thank you!

2022-01-081st floor rooms make it easy to get to your room quickly. Parking charge of $10 dollars is concerning as this is not a resort and instead is only situated in a business park. If you are looking for a healthy breakfast you will need to dine outside the kitchen here. In the lobby there is a wonderfully charming fireplace on cold nights! They are one of the few Hiltons that I have stayed at that still have Lysol wipes available in their lobbyBeautiful outdoor patio with a fire place there as well. I always sleep so very well as beds are very comfortable. The suites at Homewood suites are always very roomy and the showers are pretty enormous! Full refrigerator fairly large microwave and cook top stove are always part of all of their suites. Overall a nice place to stay. Very secure and safe and quiet. I do love the Homewood suites hotels by Hilton.

2022-01-17We had a magnificent involvement in the accommodating staff from the main call through to registration, feasting, and look at! Our rooms were extremely spotless current and exceptionally obliging. Their food was likewise extremely flavorful and delectable. Thank you kindly for the truly remarkable experience! We will remain once more!

2022-02-23One bedroom suite was spacious and clean. Happy hour had a nice selection. Andreas was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. We stay at a lot of Hilton‘s and this kind of service is over and above most others.

2022-04-30Pros: the hot tub, bigger room.Cons: not so clean. I found a long white piece of something in the coffee maker filter which looked like a worm (it’s too gross to take a picture). There’s problem with the sink drainage too and it smelled bad. The breakfast was over at 9am, way too early. I was lucky to finish my business call at 8:50am so I had the chance to eat a few things. The location was not convenient. It’s far from the highway and main streets. Would not stay there again.

2022-02-22Never waste my time writing reviews but this place truly was the worst hotel stay I have ever had in my life. We did not receive a room key all weekend so we had to wait for staff to let us in and out of our room. Upon check in the woman at the front desk was so vile and nasty to me and ordered me to sit down while i was waiting for her to find me a room.. even though my reservation was made a week in advance. she left me sitting for about 30 minutes in the lobby with my luggage while she helped other guest and even offered for them to sure their amenities while they waited for their rooms. Eventually a manager and a supervisor came out to get me into a room once i began crying in their lobby because I was so frustrated with how I was treated like I was nothing. I was promised she would be spoken to.. but nope. through out the weekend that same woman glared me down or walked away when I needed to be let into my room. She even insisted she did not need to apologize to me as if she did nothing wrong. Hilton needs to do a better job. It was completely unacceptable behavior. 400 dollars for two nights in a room with vile staff and a dirty room. The counters were not even wiped down and during a time of covid its quite alarming. not to mention 40 dollars for parking when more than half the cars in the lot were not tagged with parking passes the entire weekend. I would not advise staying here as it was a total waste of money, time, and energy. The whole weekend was ruined by that womans vile attitude. She should not be working in customer service and im beyond disgusted that they let her speak to me and treat me like that throughout my entire stay. If you are looking for a room locally the Renaissance Marriott across the street is a way better stay with clean rooms and very friendly attentive staff.

2022-03-19Positive: The size was absolutely perfect! The staff was even better, the breakfast was delicious! Negative: I felt like the room could be cleaner, you could definitely tell that they are struggling with staff shortages due to COVID.

2022-04-11Positive: It was very quiet here. A bit different than what we expected because they have a full size fridge, microwave and a stove but overall the experience was very pleasant. Negative: None really. I would definitely recommend to stay here
