Great hotel to stay at. Comfortable bed and room taken care of every day. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. The bar @ the corner was epic. Good fun with the welcoming staff. The weather could have been better, but they do need the rain. Already booked for 2022.
Positive: The staff was very helpful, gave us the type room we wanted with a smile and it had everything we wanted. Negative: We loved this hotel. Only one thing to make it even better is to have a warm chocolate chip cookie at checkin that we associate with Hilton Hotels. Yum!
Positive: The Hilton is always nice, accommodating and friendly staff, large comfortable clean rooms, modern facilities- I truly appreciate the late gym and pool hours (10pm). It is right in the middle of old Pasadena, walking distance to restaurants and clubs. Negative: Although I usually get valet, I do not appreciate it being the only option. It would be better if the $25 a day fee was mentioned, I like to pay for everything up front. In todays age it is also preferable for nice hotels to have breakfast of some sort.
Positive: The staff, view from room, lounge-pool. I would have loved to bring my grandkids to pool fro a little while Negative: Valet service is nice but its the only parking option available, cant always get your car in a timely manor if valets are busy. Is there a way a regular user of hotel services could get a substantial discount??
Positive: THE ROOMS AT THIS HOTEL ARE SPACIOUS AND COMFORTABLE. Negative: THE HOTEL INSISTED ON TAKING A HUNDRED DOLLAR FEE FOR INCIDENTALS AND I WAS SHORT 8 DOLLARS AND WOULD NOT ACCEPT 8 DOLLARS IN CASH EVEN THOUGH THE ROOM WAS PREAID. IT WAS A HASTLE FOR ME AND MADE ME LATE FOR MY CONFERENCE. I COULD NOT CHECK INTO THE ROO
It was a pretty nice hotel. Nothing extravagant. It just kind of felt like youre at a larger budget hotel. The Westin down the street is much nicer, and if you wait till the end of the week (if staying during the weekend) you can get the Westin for almost $20 cheaper per night!
Love the rooms and the valet parking it’s just the breakfast there. Me and my family(6 people) went there for my sisters gymnastics and it was a wonderful stay but at breakfast they made us wait an hour and a half for our food and made us pay %15 percent more because we had 6 people on bored and got mad at us for leaving a $5 tip anyways it’s good stay
Booked with priceline.com and the online computer gave the wrong date when it submitted.Absolutely horrible hotel to do any type of business with if youre gonna book online they will not change your date they will not move your date they will not refund your money they will do nothing I do not recommend Hilton whatsoever.
Positive: The location is fantastic and the staff, especially the valet staff, were great and very kind. Negative: The bathroom did not feel clean. The sliding barn door was really dirty with handprints, smudges, black fingerprints. There was toothpaste splatters on the wall. The paint was worn and peeling around the door and along the baseboards.
Positive: It was convenient it was close to where I need to do Negative: I was given an upgrade but unfortunately with this upgrade it was in a handicap room Unfortunately it smells really funny and you heard everything down the hall people of the few people follow you if you wanted to get some sleep it was not gonna happen
We had a great stay at the Pasadena Hilton over the holidays. It is centrally located and walking distance to Lake Street, Old Town and the Paseo. The staff was helpful and friendly and the rooms were pretty nice. The only downside is that I wish they offered a self parking option. It is only valet parking. There were 6 of us sharing 2 cars for 7 nights so it made it a little tricky when we needed quick access to our car(s).It is not a deal breaker for sure and we would stay here again.
Positive: Very nice room, very quiet. Negative: 1. Attempt to upsell me to a quieter room, which was a sucker offer; I declined, and the room was so quiet you couldnt hear a thing outside. 2. Parking is an extra $23/day, and they dont tell you about certain free overnight parking streets nearby.
Excellent service all around, from the front desk to the restaurant, housekeeping and valet service. Breakfasts were very good, and also liked the option of the quick service Corner Kitchen. Valet service very efficient and even offered to plug in my hybrid. All in all a very pleasant experience.
This Hilton Hotel tops the charts in stupidity and the second worst stay in my life . Do not stay here if you want sleep. Raging parties from friends of the staff and they will not shut them down. It starts at 230 am when then local bars shut down and the riff raff come to the Hilton Pasadena to finish partying until the sun rises. Management will give you a 20 dollar voucher for breakfast. Oh boy. Hilton should be ashamed with their name brand on that building.
Positive: It was near interesting things Negative: We chose a 4 star hotel, % was a 3. didn¿t see a way to select free parking & got stuck with valet for 23/day plus tips. Rate wasnt 43% off as advertised- may not have been a deal at all. taxes made it over $--- a night rather than $---. Very
Very comfortable and very clean. As it is in LA county the hotel has a mask mandate, everything is very clean and regularly sanitized. FYI parking is all by valet and at the time of this writing, it is $23.00 per night for guests. The convention center, metro gold train station and restaurants are within waking distance.
Although our stay was nice and comfortable, I requested when booking with Booking.com to be away from elevator, we were right by the elevator. My partner said well be fine where we are. The room was clean and the bed a little firm for my taste, and I found that the TV didnt have enough channels to enjoy. As with any other hotel, prices for food and drinks are overpriced, but I get that. Overall, it was nice.
Always a wonderful experience here. Im giving them a 5, wish I could give even higher because they are that good. Waiting for valet to retrieve your car takes considerable time. In all fairness, there was a conference going on. The hotel just didnt have enough staff. Who does these days when so many people say they want to work, yet wont take on this type of vital job!
Our stay was amazing. The entire hotel is spotless and made me feel very safe in this pandemic. But the best part? The restaurant next to the lobby. Service and product was consistently perfect. Out of all the restaurants in Pasadena we could have gone to during our two-day stay, we ate dinner and breakfast both days in the hotel restaurant. The sausage gravy with biscuits and bacon with the fruit plate was phenomenal! The produce was so fresh it was like they picked it to order, themselves. I am unsure how they could turn such a basic breakfast dish into a gourmet meal but they did it. And presentation is key, which to no surprise- they nailed that, too. For dinner we had the beef short ribs with a red wine sauce that was so tender it all just fell apart with the fork and quite literally melted in my mouth. Even the buffalo chicken wings were on point, which is hard to get right by my standards. They were crispy and the perfect size. I would recommend 10/10 to a friend. The staff treated us like family. There was attention to detail in every aspect of their operations. Even the gentlemen working valet were extremely kind and helpful. This will be where I continue to stay during my business trips. This was my first stay but I can promise it wont be the last! Thank you, Hilton staff for making our stay in Pasadena that much better! We appreciate you!
Overpriced. No complimentary breakfast or self-parking. I could have stayed at a Best Western for half the price and at least I would have received a bowl of cereal and some toast. The staff is NOT welcoming--forced smiles and half pleasantries. No self-parking. The valet is overpriced and you have to wait at least 15 minutes before they take your car and theres NO ONE to help you take your luggage from your car to your room. If those luxuries are not available why even stay at a semi-luxury hotel? Either save your money and look for a Holiday Inn or Motel 6, or save up a bit more and just stay at the Ritz to experience true luxury. Otherwise, this hotel chain is just charging for its name (to me its just a knock-off brand).
Hilton is such a fine hotel and seems to be a good organization too, with an excellent statement of corporate responsibility that says: we are committed to fostering respect for human rights for all. So, while I loved my stay at Hilton Pasadena, it was painful to see Fox News on the TV in their breakfast room. Fox is not news, it is right wing propaganda and intentional misinformation responsible for encouraging insurrection and prolonging the agony of Covid. This channel has no place in our society. Every corporation needs to ban it from all public spaces. I hope Hilton will lead the way.
I love this hotel but it only takes one bad apple to ruin an experience. Otherwise Id give 5 stars. Most staff were pleasurable and accommodating to our needs. Love the location, the cafe and cleanliness. The cleaning staff was attentive whenever we asked for anything. Unfortunately there was one staff upon checking out that was rude and acted as if I was bothering her. She also messed up on my bill and checkout, even after I asked her was this correct! This was not representative of all the staff. When I checked in and when I had a need, the staff made me feel welcome and were very helpful!!
Good Hotel and Location, although I think they were having an off day in the restaurant. The coffee mug had lipstick stains, we had to send it back. The omelette my partner ordered, had a piece of plastic inside, and we send it back. When it came back, it didn’t have the ingredients we originally ordered.Disappointed in our start of the day
My experience at this hotel was nothing short of poor. The bell person deserted my luggage conveyance because it took so long to check in, notwithstanding that there were 3-4 agents and no guests at the desk. Clearly, I was an interruption in their day. It took a long time for them to activate my thermostat. I have a back issue, and my bed was tantamount to sleeping on a hammock. The bathtub/shower floor is akin to an ice skating rink -- no skidproofing and no rubberized mat. The room did appear to be clean. Sound insulation from the street is poor.
It was ok. Because only one night didnt visit restaurant or pool. Nicely renovated, but no one matched up the wallpaper graphic lines, looked funny. The vents were horrible needed to be cleaned. Dust along the bed frame and the phone was really dusty. Nice front desk staff. Valet was friendly and brought our car each time quickly. Practically no waiting. Dont think you should have to pay when you are spending money for a room. Recommend, from another yelper, if you are coming and going pay for Hiltons valet. You can come and go no extra charge. If you pay at a different garage you get charged everytime you come and go unless you are only spending one night and staying in check other prices or he recommended street parking. Just pay attention to signs Pasadena has a lot of overnight parking rules.
Positive: The staff and valet people were very nice Negative: The room was outdated with popcorn ceilings and old decor. Smelt musty, no avail regular rooms so had to put us in one without a bath as it was a handicapped room. Definitely was not a 4.5 star hotel and I¿ve stayed at many Hilton properties. Disappoin
Worst hotel experience in a while.First of all, the neighbor room was smoking weed, making love, and watching TV loudly until 2 am. The room cant keep the noise out at all. Also, we have notified the room service not to clean our room in the second day of our stay, and we also put thr privacy label on tue door handle. However when we returned we just got to find our room was cleaned. What wrong???They dont have micro oven or some essential stuffs as well. Oops.
Last minute reservation for anime Pasadena. My room was so nice awesome view all the amenities what more could I ask for I had such a good time and such a nice place to rest my head I know where Ill be going when I come back for the next convention thank you so much for your kind hospitality and the generosity to everybody and thank you for the privacy that you give us
So went to the hotel for a gem show (didnt book a room so I cant speak to that). Ended up finding a spot to park a block away (nice savings $12 on hotel parking). Turns out theres a convenient back entrance/exit out of the hotel to the parking structure. That meant I didnt have to walk to the front and make my way around again to get to my car (on the street). Found out there wasnt a convenient side door to get to the street. Thats OK theyd rather people park in the lot, I get it. So I proceeded to an exit I did see in the back. Sign says emergency exit. I saw no sensor so I planned to go out the door. Problem is THE EMERGENCY EXIT DOOR IS LOCKED! Hello? Safety? Big no no in my book. Other than that the hotel looked clean and maintained. On the small side size wise which is also fine. Thing is, I find one safety issue and think to myself, there may be more.
Positive: I liked the view from the 14th floor. Negative: They indicated the room had been sanitized. After we wiped the room with Lysol wipes, it was clear that they are not wiping handles, tables and the nightstand. The wipes were completely black. The room would not cool down all day.
This was a nice hotel but wheelchair/luggage inconvenient with stairs in the hallways. They charge you 24 dollars to valet park but its 22 if your self parking. HOWEVER the hotel garage is very inconvenient and doesnt have an elevator to the lobby which forces your hand to park valet. For whatever reason there is a parking garage connected to their lobby and very convenient but they do not own this property? I found that parking lot much better than the hotel and the front desk validates that site. I recommend parking there at 150 s Los Robles around the corner from the hotel
Positive: I like the location. I liked the staff. I appreciated their efforts. The only thing missing inside the gym is a leg prechine and a Octane aerobic machine that a business called Octane started sling and is available at 24 HR Fitness Super Sport gyms in Cal Negative: Toilet had problem. I mentioned it to front desk in person and told them what time I would be checking out so they could arrange for maintenance to deal with problem. I was in room 911. However this problem would not prevent me from returning at all.
Was a decent hotel. A short walk away from downtown Restaurants and shops. The largest problem is their front desk staff. Extremely rude. No customers but a few employees having a conversation amongst themselves at the front desk and I walked up to ask a question. They certainly saw me, then just continued their conversation. I patiently waited a few minutes but then finally interrupted their personal conversation. . A Diamond member and someone paying $300+/night standing in front of you should be your priority. Unacceptable and just plain rude.
There is no room service in this hotel, and no bell boy when we got there. We were two women with a baby and many luggages and had to carry everything by ourselves. We took the suite with the kitchen but there was no cutlery or even glasses or other essential equipment. The furniture in the room was old and weary.
I am a gold hilton honors at the time of my stay and I had booked a king premium room and used a lot of my points for this. However when we checked in I was given a wrong type of room and was given a dirty room that appeared that someone else just left the room. Dirty towels were scattered in the bathroom and the bed has dirty linens. They did transferred us to another room but still a wrong room from what I have paid for my points. The reception didnt even know that I was a gold member and didnt explained about the daily food and beverage credit. They did comp us with a free breakfast. This was one of the worst hilton experience I have.
The valet staff were super friendly - even though they were SUPER busy.Check-in- front desk staff nice.My room was decent but pointless to pay for a nice balcony when I was looking at the roof- it was so noisy I couldnt have the slider open. The toilet started making weird noises around 5 am my first night. Gurgling etc. I checked on it after a few times. I didnt notice anything at first so I went back to bed. Then it started again. I got up and saw foam/bubbles in the bottom of the toilet. Thats when it started making even more odd gurgling noises. The bubbles started to rise so I watched.. it started making more noise and the bubbles got to the top. Then suddenly it started overflowing bubbles and water all over the bathroom. I recorded it on my phone and also called the front desk. They were going to send someone up right away. While waiting I went to get coffee-- it still took a while for them to come. The whole room SMELLED like some sort of chemical or ammonia or cleaning agent. It gagged me and I opened the balcony door and stood over there- ( After I put my shoes on to step into the bathroom to collect my things.)Meanwhile- I called the front desk and asked for another room since not only did it smell horrible but I was now running late to pick up my daughter.Front desk wasnt very sympathetic in tone and said we are sold out, we dont have any rooms. I ask again and he said there was nothing he could do.My daughter and I were supposed to meet by 8am ( I havent seen her in a year and we had two days to get together) I wasnt able to shower or get ready until after the maintenance man left. Then had to wait for towels and someone to clean the bathroomI didnt get to her house until around 11 or so.The maintenance man was VERY nice and had no idea what happened. Not one person followed up with me to see if everything was okl, offered me nothing, no apology, no cocktail, nothing. They didnt seem to care. The night staff on Sunday werent very friendly either,I was pretty disappointed in my stay. Waste of money and time.I even tagged Hilton Pasadena in my Facebook post with the videos. No one has even commented or reached out.Oh, the bartender lady was SUPER nice also. You get a 7 only because of the valet, maintenance man and bartender.
Positive: Nice breakfast and pool. Self park $21. But valet $23. Negative: Self park $21!! We had not one but 2 late night noisy neighbors. Took 3 phone calls and wife went in person to complain hotel removed all charges including parking from bill and moved us to an upgraded room.
Ive stayed at many of the local hotels. Mostly Marriotts and Hiltons and Hilton Pasadena is by far my favorite. The staff are amazing, the Hotel is clean and beautiful and they have the pool and restaurant (partly) opened. I was very comfortable there and never felt rushed to do anything. But again, hats off to the staff. They are all great.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was lovely and the bed was comfortable. It was in a convenient location near a lot of great dining establishments. I only gave 4 stars though, due to the smell of urine in the bathroom and having to pay for parking on top of the room fee.
Unfortunately, my stay at the Hilton Pasadena didn’t quite live up to my expectations. We’ve been Hilton honors members for years so we have many other Hilton’s to compare this to. Our king suite felt dusty and run down. The plumbing was slow to drain, the remote didn’t work, the patio furniture was filthy, and the staff didn’t really care all that much. On top of all that, the Starbucks in the lobby sold the worst coffee we’ve had in years. Starbucks is never my fav, but how do you mess up the tried and true Starbucks formula. The whole stay was underwhelming. Grateful I had good company that took my mind off it!
Very clean ! Downhill point .. the hotel charge $160 a night yet wants to charge $25 per car parking on top of it. As we accepted. BUT it became a big hassle due to having to pay parking through a app. My sons grandma told front desk how we were struggling with the app they didnt offer to help or explain at all. My son grandma was crying due to the fact we came out cus of her son / my son father passed away. We wanted to make the day easy as possible but instead it was a mess and draining due to the hotel lack of care. The next day we checked out she again explained we are still struggling on paying for parking through the app again to a different employee. Again this 2nd employee didnt offer to help but kind of nodded like yea we are listening but not really. With my 2 boys we spent more time in lobby trying to pay parking it said paid but no code or email of confirming it was paid we decided to talk to the checkout guy in the parking lot but no one was there and we were able to leave
From outside its nice they have a nice lobby with a mini food store. I walked in to ask questions parking is $21 per day. Theres also a $50 deposit per day which is refundable. The woman in the front was standoffish she didnt go out of her way to help me. There was 4 customers behind paying attention to me speaking. The employee is not good at representing Hilton Hotels at all.
We were woken up repeatedly by loud noises, 4 times between 1-5am, on the second night of our 2-night stay.A group of drunk boys were running down the hall, yelling and banging on doors. We called the front desk to report them at 2:45, and we also opened the door to ask them to quiet down. They still continued to make loud noises throughout the night, despite the hotel staff calling us at 3am to tell us they had also told them to stop. This is absolutely unacceptable, and not something I would expect from a Hilton. I am extremely dissatisfied with this experience, and the reviews frankly feel misrepresentative for a hotel that was unable to address this situation. Who can I follow up with on this?
Went to Pasadena for my mothers 100th birthday party. This hotel may have been a class act at one time but not now.It was not ready to open. The elevator was dirty and so worn that the handrail cut my wifes fingers. The room was dirty... vacuum and dust...air out.The staff was great! They were all trying as hard as they could to deal with Hiltons bad decision. They opened too soon. Hilton hasnt made a decision this bad since they let Paris out..
Stuffy, loud, tiny rooms, severely overpriced, price gouging, hidden fees with a grubby valet service and bougie attitudes that are uneeded and unwanted. Like every other hotel forces a no cancellation policy and nonsense “incedentles” down your throat. Love paying 250$ a night for something worth 80$ at most.
Absolutely one of the worst hotels.ive ever stayed at. The location is awful. The driveway to the front lobby is constantly full of parked cars from the valet blocking the parking garage. Once in the parking garage, a lower level area, there is no elevator to reach the hotel. There is a driveway leading back to.the front of the hotel or take a walk around the block with luggage in tow. No instead the nearest option was a stairwell. So I laughed my 50lbs bag up the stairs to the lobby. After having some complications with my bank while traveling, the hotel refused to give me any sort of consideration, after I had already been partially charged for my room and I was stranded on the street for 4 hours. There is not a dresser in the room so I supposed Ill leave the majority of my clothes in my suitcase for the entire week that I am here. The closet door doesnt stay open it so I had to stand there and hold it open while also trying to hang up clothes. The lamp bulbs are extremely dim I was unable to comfortably read a book with all 3 lamps on last night. I am a Hilton Honors member and have been a loyal customer for years however this experience has completely destroyed any faith or trust in Hilton. I am completely beside myself. After an arduous travel experience getting here and after being a long time customer, I expected a lot more consideration and accomodation from Hilton.
First of all. The older female attendant at the front counter was not very friendly, welcoming, or helpful. The other younger female was nice. The valet and shuttle staff were excellent. Our room while nice was not entirely clean our sheets had some kind of brownish spot on it. The coffee maker didnt make a full cup of coffee and didnt taste very good. I usually love staying with Hilton but this experience could have been better.
It is all a bit surreal traveling to LA during the COVID pandemic. The hotel seems to be coping pretty well, but is clearly in the re-opening process. The breakfast service has just started (good). No buffet of course (not missing that, really). [late April 2021]back again, 4 months later. Something I guess I knew - king size bed isnt really (short, even for two short people).. The room was strangely dark, and needed another floor lamp. A simple update would be a lamp and chair in the space vacated by the second (queen) bed. They are back to a default of cleaning the room daily, which is fine. Standard Hilton Honors wi-fi would not load a Netflix video. Seems like upgraded service was a perk that went away. The HVAC is still noisy at night. It makes a strange and disturbing wheezing sound when the fan shuts off. I ended up simply turning it off at night. [August, 2021]
We had a room on the 10th floor and It was a pretty comfortable place to stay. The rooms were clean and the front desk people were friendly. The main downfalls: The shower drain was clogged for some reason and the sliding bathroom door had a big gap on the side and didn’t give much privacy. Some of the rooms have balcony’s which are cool and give awesome views. This is a fine hotel in all. I would still recommend you stay here considering it’s technically the tallest hotel in Pasadena I believe.
I’ve been here a few times to do a seminar. The staff was very nice and the ambience is good. I would have given it 5 stars, but each time I did a seminar there the air conditioning/heating system in the conference room would always be up and down. And I would always have to call the front desk to adjust it. That’s the only thing I would have them improve. Other than that the location is perfect to get around town and the hotel itself is great.
I usually dont give bad reviews. But this review I did. Its subpost to be a none smoking 🚭 hotelGot up on my floor (6) you can smell smoke up & down the hall.I was spending two nights there.I checked out the next morning. Do to the smoke. Ill never stay here at this Hilton hotel again.
This is a place we chose to go on a “staycation “. We’ve stayed here before, and it’s always been great. Now, during the pandemic, few hotels are letting you use the pool. If they are, they limit the number of people allowed at any given time. We were there on a really hot day, pretty much the whole day, and there was only one other guy out there for a while. The hotel is clean, service is good, but of course due to the situation, some amenities like room service, the gym, etc. are not available. I know we’ll be coming back.
In the middle of my shower the water was cut off so I had to rinse myself in what water the sink had left. When I called fromt desk, she said there was a leak somewhere and she didnt have an eta as to when it would be back on. She did offer to see if there was a room we could borrow for a shower.
Nice neighborhood with restaurants a good bit up the street. Parking is $21 for self park, $23 Valet. Not really anywhere to park w/o paying. Very frustrating when you are tired. The hotel was nice, clean, good beds and pillows.no free wifi. $4 for a bottle of water, basic breakfast for a pretty cost. Ubereats or Doordash is the way to go
Unprofessional management(for a hotel) All that works there are less than 3 star hotel material 0 star review material. I’ve spent a lot of money at this particular location over the years tipped more than the average bear, to sum it up, they don’t know or don’t care about their big spenders so why waist a dollar!
The hotel was great was suppose to have a room with a Mountain View however there was no rooms available on the higher floors. Now they should of said something at check instead of getting to the room and seeing that your view was of a parking garage and not the mountains. Now you are probably asking your self why a 5 star rating. Well it was because of the manager on duty ( I wish I could remember her name) she was great, it was not the normal I’m sorry BS they normally give you. Don’t get me wrong she did apologize but was very sincere about it. Then asked what I thought would be a fair price for the room. The room was very nice. I said a 75.00 dollar a night discount would be fair. ( I was already at a discounted room rate ) she did not even hesitate she updated the system right there on the spot. Then she even sent a 6 pack of beer and peanuts to the room and gave me a night of parking free. This was done with out even asking. I really wish I could remember her name as I was really impressed and she is responsible for 98% of the 5 star rating.
Incredible stay at this modern, beautiful and clean hotel. Such a refreshing atmosphere, with plenty of sunshine in the room, dedicated staff, and relaxing presence! Breakfast area has a good food selection and is pleasant, pool is a perfect place to spend the afternoon!
I really enjoyed my stay mainly due to the great staff. I was particularly impressed with Jose who provided 5 star service at breakfast on August 26th. He was one of the best and the hotel is lucky to have associates like Jose! Clean rooms and good location. Will return. Thanks, Jose!
The hotel on its own was fine but Hiltons model is a bit off-putting. I didnt like having to sign up online to get free WiFi. The hotel itself is pricey too without much separating it from other hotels. The staff was really attentive though, which might be one reason to explain the price. They tried to help me find a phone charger when my phone wouldnt fit the ones already in the room. The bar downstairs and lobby area are spacious and decent looking. Rooms were clean.
The Staff are so Amazing, friendly and very professional. My room was so clean, and my BED was so comfortable. I slept like a baby. I loved having a Balcony with really pretty Sunsets. Very walkable and close to many Shops and restaurants such as Dunkin Donuts, Trader Joes, Ross, Cava TJ Maxx, Pavillions, Chipotle Ralphs, and much more. Great place for a Staycation.
Room was very clean, and I was able to actually sleep. I would have wished to check in earlier, but understand. The restuarant was really really good...my reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 was they were out of a lot...of their menu items. So not really prepared for the load of guests staying there.Overall good experience though.
My first impression of the room was that it was clean and modern. The service was wonderful, as I was there for an event, thus having a back to back reservation. They were able to get me a room where we did not have to move for the second reservation.Once we found out that there wasnt a fridge, but my friend needed one, I called guest services and they were able to accommodate us and bring up a mini fridge. In addition, we had 4 people in our room, but only 3 towel sets. This problem was quickly assuaged once the staff brought up extra towels for us.I found the sliding door to the bathroom very odd. In addition, the door itself was opaque, so you could kind of see through the door. Another problem we had was that one of the beds was over what must have been a wire. Once another friend laid herself against the headboard, the light would go out.The hotel was hosting the event that I was attending and were very accommodating to our needs. The nearest restaurants were about 3 blocks away, but they are short blocks. I would highly recommend staying here.
What a GREAT stay! We stayed in the Delux Queen w/mountain view. From the 8th floor the view awesome! Tons of room for 3 of us. Very clean. Front desk staff was courteous both upon check in and check out. The booking was a bit last minute and we were taken care of by the Hilton Pasadena! Definitely coming back here when we visit!
Excellent service. I mean TOP NOTCH service from the front desk staff and management. They allowed me to check out well past the regular check out time without charging me for the night when my plans changed. The only problem was that my 2nd-floor room shared a wall the lobby, and it was a little noisy in the evenings, and since they were sold out, they couldnt move me. So I made use of the ear plugs provided in the night stand, and was fine.
We’ve had a truly wonderful stay. The entire staff was helpful and welcoming. Many went above and behind. Having worked for many hotels in the past, I know how rare it is to have a staff that as a whole, from the front desk to housekeeping, and valet, is on their game every single day because they want to do the best job they can. And y’all got that going for you. A couple of things: My husband and I were here for 5 days (he was here on business) and I had my 1 year old w/ me. Everyone was so thoughtful, accommodating, helpful, and kind. Jamie who checked us in was great (super helpful). I’d also like to mention the woman who helped us in the restaurant almost every morning. I have forgotten how to spell her name, but it starts with an A. She was so kind to my daughter and beyond helpful to us. Everyone at breakfast was phenomenal. Thank you again, and we will be staying here again soon!
Positive: Location Negative: My wife was expecting a fed ex package with medication she desperately needed. She checked with the front desk repeatedly the day it was supposed to arrive and was told it had not been received. The next day she learned it had in fact arrived when due
Attended a workshop here. WiFi was easy to connect to and maintained connection and speed. The only free parking is street parking, which is limited to 1-2 hours so youre kind of forced to pay for parking at the adjacent structure or valet. Unless you dont mind moving your car every couple of hours. Overall, nothing to rave or complain about. The hotel is clean, well-staffed and modern enough to feel comfortable with hosting a business event here.
As long time SoCal residents, my family and I have held high regards for Hilton Pasadena. Over the course of 30 years, my parents have stayed here. My husband and I stayed here for our wedding. I’ve referred out of town guests to stay here (but that won’t be happening anymore). So when we needed a place to stay long term, Hilton Pasadena was our choice. Well, it’s been one disappointment after another. Simple requests had to be made multiple times. I have skin and smell sensitivity and their carelessness made my stay miserable and caused extreme discomfort. We’ve lived abroad and traveled internally extensively and to have this experience in our hometown was by far the most disappointing.
The best Hilton property I have ever stayed at. The staff was extremely nice and super helpful. My room was ready way before I expected it to be and was a nice corner room with a view of then mountains. It is in a great location with quick access to restaurants, coffee, shopping, etc. Although I wasnt here for an event, the ballrooms/meeting rooms seemed nicely sized and a good spot to host an event.
The hotel itself is very nice and clean. The staff is friendly and the hotel has a small gym and pool. The rooms are clean and well kept. They are very new too. The part that bothers me is that they charge you $50 a night to account for the $22 parking and any additional fees that you may incur.
Stayed here for the SCALE x18 conference.Apparently at Hilton, if the staff give you erroneous answers, they may not be liable for misinforming. I was scammed 40 bucks (ended up paying half) and treated like a criminal because of the horrible tactics of their restaurant staff.I ended up talking to the manager and this was her response to each of my points:1) One of your staff told me that breakfast was complimentary for guests when I asked them.Well that staff food server knows nothing about how the restaurant worksWHAT? So why not train him to at least be able to say GO TO THE FRONT2) Your other staff approached me, asked for my room number, and left without providing any information of what was going on.He went to the back to check with the hotel staff if your room included breakfastWhy not be straight forward, was it any less inconvenient for me to get slapped with a 40$ bill? All of this could have been avoided if your staff was educated to at least point to an individual that knows the answer. The first guy could have just told me to talk to the right person. The second guy could have been more straight forward telling me the situation, instead of just whats your room number? Why not tell me immediately that I didnt start at the right place.Instead, you guys let it cook up, then slap the customer with a nice bill they may not have wanted....Probably never staying at a Hilton again. Each year, my employer gives me full freedom to chose during SCALE, next year it will be the Sheraton. Your loss for one plate of breakfast Hilton....
Breakfast was an amazing experience. Me.Victor was very attentive to all the guest I seen him encounter. Just as well as all the other staff. The room was clean and well laid out with lots of places to plug in my devices for charging and they all worked!!!! Thats rare...
Very nice hotel. I had a clean and comfortable room. It was very quiet and my view of the city hall made me feel like I was close to where Sheldon and Leonard live in the Big Bang Theory. The restaurant had good decent food and their ice cream that they make there was very good that I recommend trying it. I had a peach ginger scoop and a mint lemonade scoop. Very tasty.Friendly staff made it so much better.
My wife and I stayed here last night on a short notice and it was a fantastic hotel. The best service was provided by Marianne Bautista who checked us in. She was friendly, went above and beyond to check us in and to make sure we were happy. We checked in at 10Pm and checked out at 10AM, and she remembered us and greeted us by name. I travel to a lot of Hotels and by far the best check in service and front desk impression. Since I am Gold status, they offer a free breakfast buffet for 2 and it was really good. Just like the front desk, the service in the restaurant was top notch. You definitely wont go wrong with this hotel and hopefully you will be lucky enough to meet Marianne at the front desk.
The rooms are really nice, Im not a fan of the bathrooms not having fully closable door, seemed weird, and their lobby is pretty small but that only matters to people who like to hang in the lobby like me and my friends. Their beds are great, staff is friendly, valet is a cool addition.
The location is nice and close to everything you need. Our room was very accommodating and had a separate sink in the kitchen area which was a plus. Large balcony and no problem with the AC. We received a cot upon request which fit nicely in the kitchen area, the staff is also very friendly.
This is my favorite hotel in Pasadena. The remodeled hotel and rooms are great. The restaurant actually serves quality food, although it is a bit pricey. The rooms are sizable and comfortable. Their beds are beyond comfortable and I always get amazing sleep. You can easily walk to S. Lake and Green St. where there is a plethora of restaurants. I recommend this hotel to anyone going to Pasadena.
The rooms were nicely dated 90s style, hotel was completely empty. They wouldnt let me park on the property unless I paid 20 or 30$ and I am and have handicap tags. I booked the room through 3rd party but was hit with a 50$ room deposit when I checked in. It has now been 9 days since my stay and still havent recieved my deposit. When i called the operator she told me it was going to be another 5 to 7 days till I will receive my deposit back. Not very cool of the hilton to rack up bougus charges during the covid19 pandemic and then hold on to customers deposits for 2weeks+. I will no longer be a loyal hilton hotel customer anymore no matter how beautiful Paris Hilton is
Pluses: Very friendly and hard working staff. Great facilities. Immaculate views.Negatives: No Fridge or Microwave in room, even though rate is high. Also the $50 charges for holds every day are still pending -- and it looks like they tried to bill extra without notifying me. There was no damage or smoking so seems pretty bonus to me.
Though the staff are friendly and attentive, and the restaurant, bar and lobby are nicely updated this is a very old hotel. The rooms consist of feeling wallpaper, popcorn ceilings, and horrible fluorescent bathroom lighting. You can easily hear neighbors above, beside, across and outside of the room. The tub/ shower had a draining problem, so by the end of the shower it looked at though you could almost take a bath (gross). The problem is just that its old. Had the breakfast here every morning of my three night stay. Its very expensive and not worth it unless included in your stay package. Breakfast does include smoked salmon, which was the only item of note for me.
Nice Lobby. Nothing fancy about the hotel rooms or stay, but the food provided at two different gatherings I attended was awesome. $21 a day for valet parking hurt, especially since there is $9 parking right across the street. Most check in staff were friendly and accommodating. It was very convenient location, just a couple of minutes walk to the Pasadena Convention Center, and gave a great group discount.
I have stayed at this Hotel on several occasions over the past few years. My last visit was during a refurb , which I have to say shortened my stay , due to the upheaval it caused.Thankfully All is now complete, and what a Great job they have done. The Hotel has still kept its friendly relaxed manner, and its staff are all very friendly and welcoming .I recommend this Hotel to All.

2022-04-18Positive: The valet parking attendants were so welcoming and efficient. The hotel location was in a quiet area that felt very safe. Close for walking to coffee, resturants and businesses. Beautiful location. Hotel was very clean. Excellent staff. Negative: No Starbucks onsite or room service. A small thing but the bath towels were sort of small.

2022-04-03Very comfortable rooms with excellent service overall. The only reason why I did not give 5 stars is because when we checked in the room had not been cleaned properly. There was spilled rice on the carpet and a light bulb missing in a lamp. This was promptly fixed but it makes one wonder about attention to detail as this is not a cheap hotel. For the rest of our stay the housekeeping was excellent. We found the valet service quite fast and enjoyed the restaurant for breakfast.

2022-02-12It was a good stay. Bed was comfortable and it was clean. The walls are very thin and I could hear the guests next door. Even though it was expensive, it was the only hotel I could find when I drove from San Francisco. It was a good stay, but I probably wont be back. I cant seem to figure out why people would spend more and not even get free parking, or free breakfast. I stayed at a Hampton Inn the day before and they offered all that although it wasnt as nice as this hotel.

2021-12-24It’s really pretty on the inside, really upscale and clean, definitely very spacious and had nice decorative art pieces. The staff were very informative which was great. Only issues I had was they don’t validate for parking and you use this third party app to pay and every time you leave they charge you more by scanning your license plate. Additionally, the restaurant service was super slow, the waitress wasn’t consistent, she would take other orders first although we arrived earlier. If this isn’t a con for you, there’s many wonderful stores and restaurants near by that make your vacation more convenient.

2022-04-20Stayed there for four nights this past week. Enjoyed ourselves very much. Very clean rooms very friendly staff as well. Just felt the bar area could be more conducive to relaxing rather than the too contemporary lighted area it sits in.

2022-02-27Positive: Staff was great and accommodating. I am a light sleeper and they worked with me on selecting the right room. Much appreciated. Cleaning team was so nice. They welcomed us every morning and was more than happy to leave extra towels and shampoo. Negative: No jacuzzi and parking fee per night.

2022-05-30If you are visiting the LA area and are looking for a safe and comfortable stay than this is a solid option. You are going to get the amenities that you need (unless you need dry cleaning on Memorial Day weekend). The rooms were standard with a mostly clean facilities. The bed and pillows were not the most comfortable.Staying here requires you to Valet park your car every time which can get annoying if you are in and out like we were. The restaurant serves basics for high prices and it would be beneficial to go out for breakfast or dinner.Although they state the coffee cart is open at 6, we were unable to get coffee in the morning before heading to Disneyland. My suggestion would be stay here if you need a comfortable and affordable option.

2022-02-24The staff are exceptional. Absolutely every one of them - from the Reception, to the Starbucks to the Corner Restaurant - they could not do enough for us. The kindness and warmth made a tough week (California Bar Exam) so much easier. Thank you very much. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS VENUE!

2022-06-12Positive: The hotel was clean and the check in/check out process was easy.. There was no bellman when I checked in, but the valet was kind enough to bring my bags to my room (necessary for a single mom with two toddlers.) Most staff were very helpful, not all. Negative: There was no room service available, and often times there wasn¿t enough staff to help with my needs (bringing water, linens, pillows, etc.)
