The Hammer Ranch Shopping Center use to be a nice and safe place to go shopping. But now sense the City of Stockton way of thinking. Its a haven for every homeless person. And other Cities dumping ground for their homeless. The City must stop this idea of free rent. And free money to the homeless. I see these people use the walls and Bushes for their toilet. I dont care what color these people are but am tired of having these types of people talking over our City. The City has to put a stop to Tubs programs of free money and rent. Now that he not Mayor put in place relocation programs for these people. We have deserts put in a water source and places were they can sleep eat. But training camp so they can learn a triad. But lets stop feeling sorry for these people. When most want a free ride.
Love the shops, but man lemme tell ya. The amount of homeless/sketchy individuals in the area create a giant problem. I know its unfortunate they are homeless, but man there isnt much a normal man can do. Secondly when i worked at one of the stores in that center and at nighttime noone was allowed to take out trash etc because of safety. Really shows an issue when stotes close a whole 2 hours earlier than normal. This place never once looked like this when i was groing up.
Grocery store dollar store, Chinese food, chicken restaurant, and my personal favorite the Zen Garden. Im not much of a weed person but they have these things called protabs and they are the best things I have ever enjoyed. They dont make me sleepy and I can focus not feeling like a dolt like your classic high. They make my creativity bound and soar.
I love this store because of the mom and pop feel of the place. And they have so many specialty products you dont see at many stores. Also, if they dont carry something you wish to buy often they will order it for you. Friendly and pretty quick service. Clean store, clean bathrooms, clean parking lot. App you can download for more savings- just have to input your phone number at the counter- like at Safeway.
The savemart here has good deals on select items. Meat department has money saving coupons directly on the packaging in blue. Nice produce department with local grown items at certain times of the year. As with any grocery store you need to know your prices. The post office here is busy and homeless seem to gather at the entrance. A dollar store has a ever changing inventory of seasonal items. There is a few restaurants and an H and R block.
Love me some SMART. Very clean, fast service. Thanks to all the staff in the pharmacy. You guys always make me smile. Thanks to Miss Juliet for your grace and beauty. And thanks to Scott at the door for always lifting me up and taking the time to listen to me for a minute. You keep the parking lot looking clean and safe. Theres closer places I could shop but it wouldnt be the same. So thanks for all the years of service.
This shopping center is full of vacant boarded-up buildings. The post office no longer has a drop box, Im assuming due to theft. S-mart is really the only thing we go over to that area for because they offer a better selection of name brand foods over food for less across the way. There is a good Indian food restaurant that we go to from time to time that is so good. A star for those 2 establishments. Low rating due to high crime and vacant buildings.
They have cleaned up the shopping center a bit. Still a lot of homeless and people soliciting. I understand the plight of homelessness, but the people around there are mostly a victim of their own life choices, and panhandling for personal gain is the primary goal. Getting angry if you dont donate it makes it hard to go there if you are elderly or women alone. Need more enforcement by police and shopping center landlord.Too many nice commercial places to have to not shop there. Its a shame.
This place has numerous shops, businesses, restaurants, grocery stores, bank, Post Office. I go there often but only in the day time. Its not the safest area. Often have panhandlers hanging around. So always be alert of your surroundings as with any where you go especially if youre not familiar with the area. They have a Michaels, Pier One, TJ Max, Smart & Final, and many other good places to go to.
Was here to pick up WingStop for my family. Was in and out rather quick as it was a phone in order. This shopping center has good parking and theres also CVS, a Chinese restaurant, Ice cream shop, medical supply store, Starbucks a Popeyes, burger king, subway, cigarette store, taco house restaurant, fine Mex dining restaurant, beauty supply store, a metro t-mobile store, breakfast diner and a pizza place. This shopping center has a bit of everything!!
The shopping center has a variety of places to eat at and shop. This center is an older location. Some stores you will find here are S-MART...Dollar Tree...there is a Chinese restaurant...along with sushi....also a thirft store...beauty salon...UJs....a french macaroon place and other little shops here as well....driving through the center can sometimes be a challenge due to wear and tear on the pavement along with peoples driving style.
Got ok stores and restaurants. Thrift store and a couple salons/barber. Well priced smoke shop. Savemart, Dollar Tree, recreational dispensary, some asian food restaurants, UCP, and a dentist office.Ample parking but no shade. USPS is in the back. Not a one stop shopping center. But you can pick up a lot of items here.
Dirty, dirty center. Ive contacted the property manager company about sprinkler leaks, and they finally addressed the problem, after some calls. Lots of homeless tottering around, begging and trashing the place. If S-Mart and the Post Office werent there, Id avoid the place like the plague.
A family run restaurant UJS was SOLD!! That was my MAIN REASON to go there. Sniff...There IS HOWEVER, a post office, sm thrift store, a Dollar Tree, and an SMART grocery store and a Carls Jr fast food there. This center is right along Stocktons main drag Pacific Avenue which runs North and South. This is north end of Pacific Avenue.
The Hammer Ranch Center is home to the Post Office, Smart Foods Grocery Store, and Wells Fargo Bank. Unfortunately, it also has an increasing amount of vagrants waiting at the entrances and exits at all of the stores. I do not entirely blame the issue on the shopping center, however, it is a problem that they need to address.
Is 100° outside and their sale paper advertised a seeded watermelon, and only my mother could get me to drive out in that type of heat for that. according to their staff they dont have seeded watermelon and never do. apparently they only have a picture of it in their sale paper. Im so not happy with this store.

2022-08-14When Save Mart has there pick 5 & $5 because there meat selection is better than the Alpine one. And the T-Bone steaks actually have the bone in them. One thing I dont like is the is a homeless encampment near the empty store next to Save Mart
