For the customers of Goodwill, when you buy an item that consists of several pieces, in front of the cashier check that nothing is missing (take your time to check) so that both you and the cashier are sure you are paying for what you think it is you are purchasing. The employees are not making sure you are paying for a complete set but they are charging the items almost as if they were new. Do it even if it seems like it is unopened if something is missing you will NOT recieve money back or store credit. For Goodwill: ---Please put a sign saying that products may be incomplete--- and that customers need to check before purchasing.Id recommend for the employees to show the items to customers in front of the register where both the customer and cashier can see what is inside so that there is no misunderstanding.
Love love love this store, makes me feel good to go there its a therapy that I do often. For the most part their a great staff and helpful should you need them. Ive found many treasures( to me) there and you might as well. Its laid-back inside and theres no rush to anyones stay, except 15 minutes to closing, cause no one wants to leave except the staff!!!!!Highly recommend-enjoy yourself.
I had been here earlier today. I had traveled 20 minutes to return tonight to purchase a buggy board that I had passed up earlier today. I arrived at 8:50 and all the doors were locked. The employees saw me trying to get their attention and once they noticed me they walked away. I called the store 5 till 9 when I talked to a very rude young lady. I told her I just needed one thing but they had closed before they were supposed to. She was very rude and said no we are closed now. Im replied well yes because now its 9, but you guys closed ten minutes early and Ive been waiting out here. And she continued to argue with me about how they closed right at 9 (obviously not I had been standing their waiting for the past 10 minutes. She then proceeded to hang up on me. I am so furious! Dont say you close at 9 when you dont!
Clean, no smell, and continually restocked. Fairly well organized. Plenty of staff. Parking a little awkward, the lot is in the back street parking in front on either side of the bus stop. Many young staff members that were very friendly. The 50% off sale not as good as the $2 sale but great bang for the bargain!
The location on Redondo Boulevard is hit or miss. Sometimes you find amazon things there, a few days ago I bought a Steve Madden purse from there for $10. It is currently retailing at $150. This store has a TON of cloths BUT it takes forever to go through all of it because none of it is organized by size so you spend five hours going through close one by one on the racks. Somethings in the store are overpriced so make sure that you’re looking for the best deal. Goodwill is a thrift store so they should have cheaper prices than Ross or DD’s discounts. $10 for a USED $10 pan from Walmart is NOT what goodwill should be selling it for. But you do find some hidden gems, this one is a big store. You just have to have the time to really look through everything
BULLIES ... CHARACTER DEFAMTION...Staff does horrible profiling on customers...i feel completely harassed and judged by the larger Mexican lady (manager) and her African American sidekick the tall lady....they make me and other shoppers feel like we are committing a crime when we shop there. Like we were in prison and had to keep hands behind our backs or else...even then still heard them talking trash about customers right where they can hear them... BULLYING AT THE GOODWILL...such a contradiction!
Used to shop here a little, but the prices for used items are now almost the same as new from k-mart or target. Just went to donate, and it will be the last time. The last few times I have donated, the employees come at you with an attitude about what you are giving them. Im not dropping off a key of cocaine and a dead baby. Do you want my barely worn clothes or not? Drop the attitude. Be grateful, because my donations give you a job.
It was horrible. I reopened a cut I had gotten a couple of days before in the dressing room and was bleeding all over. I went to an employee and asked to use the restroom really quick. She came back and asked how bad it was. I showed her it was visibly dripping all over my hand and she went in the back. I heard the manager to tell her to have me wait because she didnt want me to drip blood all over. I went in there and said may i please use the restroom because I was bleeding. She asked if i cut myself here and i said i reopened it here and in my head Im wondering why she cant open the restroom! She hands me a dirty towel and finally opens the door. I was my cut and apologize for any inconvenience. As Im proceeding to check out she comes up to me and hands me a bandaid and she said initially confused her and thats why she was hesitant about letting me in. I asked how and she said she wasnt sure if it happened at the store and it was the way i came at her that was the reason for the attitude. I was bleeding and she made me wait outside the employee door bleeding because she had a power trip about letting me wash my hand. And the audacity of blaming me for her behavior?! If i get an infection Im suing!
Thank you Good will. I have some personal as well as personnel issues from within you we must have a actual conversation with each other. You know the Old Fashioned way. I donated some today without recognition. The reason is very disturbing for me and the enormous monetary loss I have been hit with this year. I had to do some serious freelance PI type work but I would like to speak in person with whom ever is the head of operations in the receiving department (donations). Im so SO SO Serious goody goody Sa Goods. The amount of $$$ I spend on my clothing this year that has magically appear in in several of you South Bay was never donated by me!!
Prices arent really that low here. There is lots of clothing here and not much in the way of houseware and almost no furniture (usually 5-10 small pieces). Small houseware is usually overpriced: Ive seen items that Im sure came from the dollar store for sale for $1.50
RIDICULOUS RIP OFF - Found a Nutribullet that retails for $59-$79 online, at stores like Kohls and Macys. This store wants $99.99 for it. The manager wouldnt come out of the back to discuss it and advised the employee to tell me no price change since it had only been on the floor for a week. Wont be coming back here. :-(
I was at the store on Willow and Atlantic and saw a employee breaking items then throwing them in the trash. What a shame. They have raised their prices so high its crazy. You would think they could get some type of window covering for their big window you get blinded around noon on.

2022-04-10First Time at this location... Store seems EXTREMELY overpriced, even compared to other Goodwill stores and did not have much selection with most items being broken or damaged and its really disorganized. Found several $1 store items that were used but priced at 2.99!! on the plus side clothing is universally priced by category, which I prefer to individually priced, but was mostly wal-mart and JCPENNEY brands. Definitely not adding this to my list of thrifting stops.

2022-07-05The items were good at this location. The employees were super friendly also. They are not always like that at these stores.

2022-05-12A fairly clean store with a big selection of goods. Prices are mostly fair. Furniture selection was not as much as other Goodwill stores. A ton of clothing.

2022-01-29Place was dirty and smelly, it was a women and her son in the store shopping and the manger’s were very rude to the women kicking her and her son out the store. I’m guessing the child set off a flare in the store that he found in the toy section. It was shocking to me how they treated her!! Instead of kicking her out no one asked if their ok. WE HAVE TO DO BETTER

2022-03-16They closed 10 minutes before 20 which was very depending to me personally. I would be fine if the guard and employees wouldnt been hostile

2021-06-12All the employees are so nice and very helpful! They do have a return policy but its more of an exchange, rather than getting your money back. I found a really cute army green jacket that I absolutely love. Still on a mission to find overalls though! The parking is in the back of the store! Everything is organized and they play great music which makes the experience 10x better! Unfortunately the dressing rooms aren’t open due to covid so you just gotta hope it’ll fit or exchange it to any Goodwill in Long Beach. :)

2020-10-16I used to go often, now occasionally I will go. Compared to other thrift stores, prices can be high if its not the color of the week. So it may not be worth it. Ive seen clothes with 2 tags different colors, I even saw once a manager tell the employee to change all the color of the week tags to a different color, that way its full price. You can find sometimes some good items, clothing I rarely get here unless its on the $2 sale or something. I would say the stores are usually clean and organized.

2022-03-08Hello, did you guys forget these things are donated to you??Just recently I have noticed that shoes; which used to be all one price for mens/ womens shoes, one price for boots, and one price for sandals now are all different prices , depending on the brand. The same for purses. OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive; considering everything they sell has been donated!!! Is Goodwill being greedy or are they serving the needy?

2021-07-11As Goodwills go, this one is okay. Staff is friendly and helpful...but no bathrooms yet. A clean and stocked bathroom is one of the major reasons I stop by Goodwill. Its a plus in my books.

2020-09-08Definitely one of the best goodwills in Long Beach! The place stays organized, theres good deals, and most importantly the employees are so friendly! I have been coming here for years and have lost count of the amount of nonsense I see people come off the street try to pull; I really appreciate how patient these employees are.
