I think it may be time that goodwill changed their name to Greedwill. $7 for a used shirt I can get new at Ross for $5. Seems like every print shirt they had they marked up to $7 even though their bas price is supposed to be $2.50.Absolutely outrageous that they now find it appropriate to rip people off like this. The local goodwills have all been taking advantage of a nation wide financial recession and inflation to more than double their prices. Goodwill has had the second highest inflation on prices next to gasoline. For a company that claims to help people who are having financial struggles to take advantage of people who ate expecting to be getting reduced prices is absolutely unacceptable and unethical. Especially when in many many cases they are charging far more than retail on a lot of their items. It is deceitful and wrong and whom ever is responsible for these inflated prices should be reprimanded immediately by the goodwill corporation. You cannot convince me that the cost of goodwill donations has gone up. Because the nature of a donation is FREE. They are up charging more than the companies that actually have to pay for their inventory.

This goodwill is alright. Not much going on here, the store seems old and dirty. Everything is out of place and hard to look around. Its pretty small compared to the other goodwills in bakersfield. The past few times Ive gone here I havent really found much. Kinda dissorganized.

Same prices as Walmart, Fallas, Dads, even Ross..... $8 for a pair of used pants, when Walmart has brand new for $11. $5-$6 for a used Tee when T-SHIRT Outlet has brand new for same; if not cheaper.I know Walmart has $5 shirts all day long .

The DONATION CENTER is open from 8am to 2pm Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday and closed Thursday and Friday as of today (February 7, 2022). I just wanted to post that because its different than the actual store hours. The other Goodwills in Bakersfield seem to do something similar.

I would probably give less than a star if I can. This review is based on my experience here, Sunday March 7th 2021 at 3:20 pm. I went to the donation area, parked my vehicle, stepped out from it and I found this 4 ladies, on the donation area, praying to their Lord not to have customers to attend. Is sunday!. No good afternoon, no what can I do for you? No nothing! Just looking at themselves praying in their minds that I know what to do. But guess what? I did not!!!!! Then, this well mannered gentleman came out and say hi and asked me what I need and what kind of donations I got for them. This is my first time and definitely the last one here. There is plenty of Goodwills in town.

As a 20+ years goodwill shopper this location is by far the worst ive ever been too. Sadly. Literally, if you walk in the door and see something in furniture you like, you dont have the option to let staff know and continue your shopping. You have to purchase and exit item right then and there. In Arizona, you let staff know, they put a ticket on the item if not taken to the back and give you your claim ticket and you continue your shopping. At payout, you give them your ticket and they bring your item to help you load and your on your way. Not here.

NOT WORTH IT ANYMORE! You can find better deals on new clothes. I won’t be shopping at any goodwill. The prices should be reconsidered as a $7 used shirt is not a deal. When I can get a new shirt for less at Kohl’s, Target, Ross or DD’s and the list goes on. Maybe they’re good for something here and there but not a good place to try to save on clothes.
