I bought a couch from this place and it was full of BED BUGS and when I went to tell them they were rude and asked me what they wanted me to do about it and the Manager would not come out and talk to me. I was not being mean or rude myself. I really just wanted to tell them so they could make sure their store was ok and now 4 years later I have moved twice and I am still dealing with the damn bed bugs.
I was looking for a shower curtain coz at target , its expensive. i went to goodwill - whitelane and i was happy coz i got one, but, it was so expensive too. it costs 8.99?!😒before, the pricing of goodwill is very affordable, high price for shower curtain was only 3.99 to 4.99, but now a days, goodwill is getting expensive...why o why?
I recently went in and bought a Cold Mist Humidifier for $45 that the cashier stated was brand new. It still came in the box was wrapped in plastic, etc.. they had several of these in the store, I plugged it in at the store to test it anyways and it turned on, I figure it worked so I decided to purchase it. I take it home, put it in my room, added water, turned it on and went to bed. The next morning I woke up with a horrible sore throat.. (its been almost 2 weeks and its not completely gone yet!) this humidifier did not really work! It does power on, but does not humidify the room.. it just throws cold dry air. Im sure the people who donated these to Goodwill did it because they knew the humidifiers did not work! Now I am out my money due to their ridiculous No Return Policy and still have a sore throat! That is not right.. Goodwill needs to make sure the products they are selling actually work and stop ripping people off with their No Return Policy! I will never be donating or shopping at any Goodwill again!!
What happened to goodwill in bakersfield. first of all most of the items come from target recently. it seems most of the overpriced items are defective, broken or do not work. this goodwill location is really is awful. its not fun anymore. prices are to high for the junk they are selling. i guess people are blinded and think its a great deal. go to target and buy the same item cheaper at least you are able to return it if your not satisfied. target should be aware that by donating there used items they have just made a competition for themselves. goodwill bakersfield is taking advantage of blinded consumers. if you want a great deal go outside this area and shop or try salvation army at least they have a better selection of items. by the way be aware by goodwill asking a customer to show your id when using a credit card. its illegal. read your credit card disclosure and look it up online. its against the law. if they refuse a sale by you not showing a id its illegal. contact your credit card company to file a report to have this practice stopped.
This is not a good store the cost of things seem to be way over priced for the items being donated there were a set of 4 bowls that they were charging 7.99 for that you can get at dollar tree for 1.00 a peice there was also a pair of used mens shoes that were named brand but you could see they have been worn for 46.99 and the womens dresses that were in not great condition were 13.99 you can go to walmart and get a brand new dress for 9.99. My suggestion is no spend your money on stuff that was met to help people and given for free when you can get the same product new for less.
Beddings are expensive, 24.99. sandals are 8.99.funny thing is, they have color coding on discounts but u can only find very few items on colors!sometimes u cant afford to buy at goodwill. ow a days. before blouses are 1.29. shoes was 3.99. too much prize now!😒😒😒👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
I had the misfortune to work here last year all i remember is constantly being followed and feeling harrased by one of the supervisors there san Juana perez a nasty old hag who thinked she ran the place . shed exaggerate over me not locking my locker and shed never act professional instead she composed herself in a rather unprofessional manner this place is utterly ghetto and filthy too its depressing to work there.
The products there are OK. The manger I spoke with is OK. Some of the customers are nothing but rude ghetto trash. The hispanic racist cashier who let a hispanic racist customer harrass me and call me racial slurs because i would nor give her the basket i was using yeah that caisher is a piece of human waste. I called the district head office of good will in Bakersfield. I was never able to speak to the head guy there. Someone did call me back and told me that the caisher would be talked to and trained. I am sorry but you cant train stupidity and racism out of someone. So according to this caishers logic I can shop in there all I want I should just be calm and let people abuse me.
Never shopping here Again..Just left the store very upset ...noticed to big objects I wanted to Purchase but did not fit in my Cart and I Asked if I can keep Them at front desk until its my Turn to Pay And 4 Male Employees Told me No I Had to Hold them With Me I just left the Items and walked out ...

2022-06-23I think it may be time that goodwill changed their name to Greedwill. $7 for a used shirt I can get new at Ross for $5. Seems like every print shirt they had they marked up to $7 even though their bas price is supposed to be $2.50.Absolutely outrageous that they now find it appropriate to rip people off like this. The local goodwills have all been taking advantage of a nation wide financial recession and inflation to more than double their prices. Goodwill has had the second highest inflation on prices next to gasoline. For a company that claims to help people who are having financial struggles to take advantage of people who ate expecting to be getting reduced prices is absolutely unacceptable and unethical. Especially when in many many cases they are charging far more than retail on a lot of their items. It is deceitful and wrong and whom ever is responsible for these inflated prices should be reprimanded immediately by the goodwill corporation. You cannot convince me that the cost of goodwill donations has gone up. Because the nature of a donation is FREE. They are up charging more than the companies that actually have to pay for their inventory.

2022-04-07This goodwill is alright. Not much going on here, the store seems old and dirty. Everything is out of place and hard to look around. Its pretty small compared to the other goodwills in bakersfield. The past few times Ive gone here I havent really found much. Kinda dissorganized.

2022-03-05Same prices as Walmart, Fallas, Dads, even Ross..... $8 for a pair of used pants, when Walmart has brand new for $11. $5-$6 for a used Tee when T-SHIRT Outlet has brand new for same; if not cheaper.I know Walmart has $5 shirts all day long .

2022-02-07The DONATION CENTER is open from 8am to 2pm Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday and closed Thursday and Friday as of today (February 7, 2022). I just wanted to post that because its different than the actual store hours. The other Goodwills in Bakersfield seem to do something similar.

2021-03-07I would probably give less than a star if I can. This review is based on my experience here, Sunday March 7th 2021 at 3:20 pm. I went to the donation area, parked my vehicle, stepped out from it and I found this 4 ladies, on the donation area, praying to their Lord not to have customers to attend. Is sunday!. No good afternoon, no what can I do for you? No nothing! Just looking at themselves praying in their minds that I know what to do. But guess what? I did not!!!!! Then, this well mannered gentleman came out and say hi and asked me what I need and what kind of donations I got for them. This is my first time and definitely the last one here. There is plenty of Goodwills in town.

2021-03-01As a 20+ years goodwill shopper this location is by far the worst ive ever been too. Sadly. Literally, if you walk in the door and see something in furniture you like, you dont have the option to let staff know and continue your shopping. You have to purchase and exit item right then and there. In Arizona, you let staff know, they put a ticket on the item if not taken to the back and give you your claim ticket and you continue your shopping. At payout, you give them your ticket and they bring your item to help you load and your on your way. Not here.

2020-07-21NOT WORTH IT ANYMORE! You can find better deals on new clothes. I won’t be shopping at any goodwill. The prices should be reconsidered as a $7 used shirt is not a deal. When I can get a new shirt for less at Kohl’s, Target, Ross or DD’s and the list goes on. Maybe they’re good for something here and there but not a good place to try to save on clothes.
