A fresno institution for decades. Skip the big box store and come here for all your specialty hardware needs. They have a great barbecue section too.
The help at this store is amazingly good. I was looking for a little sash window clip. Martin found 2 in a drawer of bits and pieces.
This place almost always has just what we need and many helpful sales associates out on the floor, not hiding somewhere on their cellphones like the big places.
The staff here may be a little rough sometimes but youll never find people with as much knowledge as them... hands down the most knowledgeable staff Ive ever encountered at a hardware store, been going here for 50 years and I love it! Keep up the good work.
Hands down the best place to shop for hardware and just about anything else. Cleaning products, paint, custom cut glass, electrical, lighting, plumbing, AC, gardening and even work clothes and boots. They have maybe 6 specialty counters where you can find help in any department. Maybe a little higher priced than the big box stores, but you will have no trouble at all finding enthusiastic and friendly help. Youll save time. Time youd have to spend wandering and searching in a big box store. This is the place to go.

Always have that obscure item you need. The employees are always ready and willing to help. We moved to Sacramento, but kids stayed behind. If I need anything to help them, I still go to Fresno Ag. We have Eghmi hardware (Carmichael), same work ethic, not nearly the selection, still decent honest people.
Old style hardware store with very wide selection. Many employees available at every turn ready to help if you need it. It is a bit pricier then bigger box stores but thats a small trade off to get personalized help and find exactly what you need

What else can you say about the excellent service?I recently went to Fresno g for an older shower faucet part that the chains wont and cant have in stock. I know Fresno ag would have the part and the right information. With the old part in my hand I walked to the plumbing counter to ask my questions. Before I could say a word the Ninja plumberperson had the parts I needed and set them on the counter. The air was still and my mind was blown. I tried to ask another and he answered with where I could find it a few feet away. Knowledgeable Staff is the key or in this case, the faucet.TRUE STORY
I am maybe biased , theyre as old here as I am. My mom and I both shopped there. They gave great unusual home items , not just toilet parts. Unique and affordable. They have a bit better quality than major chains. Theyre honest abd hardworking people that are helpful and kind . They deserve our local support.

I needed plumbing parts. I very stupidly went to home depot and lowes first. I found almost none of what I needed and eventually remembered Fresno ag.At Fresno ag I found everything I needed with the help of friendly knowledge staff and the prices were better than the big box stores.From now on when I am doing any DIY project, Fresno ag will be my first and last stop.
Came in for something simple because of my restaurant and I left with a smile. Julie in houseware definitely knows her stuff. She walked me through everything I needed. Being a new business owner I definitely needed her pleasant walk through. I would definitely recommend this business!:)

This is a tough one. Cashiers are super friendly. The prices arent super high as they do have a wide range of items and quality items at that. But ... unless they think youre stealing, you WONT get any floor assistance. The employees just look away.. or stand in groups at the BBQ section talking. Whats worse, they seem to be management. They overall have awful customer service. Although, if you ask me, I kinda think the bad CS may be related to the race of the customer.

Fresno Ags Employees are Always so helpful. Every department has employees that are Very knowledgeable. Ive never had a bad experience coming here. Unlike going to Lowes or Home Depot. Ive experienced rude employees or they didnt know something and made me feel like I as a customer didnt matter. Fresno Ag is by far the best home improvement store and has a little bit of everything their. They will always be my first choice.

Today I (Luis Sierra) visited my favorite hardware store, and for the first time I had a minor issue. I requested to speak to the manager. Ian Williams came to speak with me almost immediately. A very nice friendly young man. His response and how he spoke to me is exactly how a complaint should be handled. After speaking with him, it was like my issue never even existed. This was actually the very first time I ever complained about something after going to this hardware store in almost 40 years. Ian handle and resolved my issue professionally and courteous. After leaving the store I felt awful for complaining. Someone must have been having a bad day (me). Anyhoo, Fresno Ag is and will for ever be second to none in my and my family’s book. 5 STAR ALL THE WAY!!!

The guy that works at the paint department asked to see who was next I ask him a quick question I told him sandpaper and I was hoping he would just pointed out and I go find it but he just flat out told me I was not next. If he Who was next why did he even bother asking to see who is next. I work in customer service to there is such a thing as multitasking and answering a simple question.

I managed to go to three stores all over town and wound up a Fredo Ago Hardware. There very friendly staff took me to see exactly what I needed. The item has been installed and works great.I never get this level of service at any big box chains and now Im to old and cant walk well enough any way.Next time Fresno Ag first.

I popped in there for a couple bags of sand for a sandbox. The lady who helped me at the front was so nice and sweet and helpful. when I went around back to pick up my bags the gentleman who loaded it into my car was super friendly and respectful. This is definitely my new hardware go to store
Fresno Ag is Fresnos only place to find everything! If you own a vintage home, they will have the hardware that you need to make those repairs or upgrades. And they have things for the modern, newer homes as well. Plus they offer the best service with the most knowledgeable staff in town. They tend to hire people who have worked in the trades and they do a really good job of training their new people. Youll have a most stellar experience at Fresno Ag!
Just happen to be in Fresno on this day. Since Home Depot, Lowes and our local Ace hardware store didnt have what I was looking for I was really hoping Ag Hardware would have it. Guess what? They had what I was looking for. I was looking for 6mx1.75 carriage bolts with lock nuts. Needed 8 of each. Ag Hardware is the place. I was very happy but then again I have always liked Ag Hardware. I have never been here and today I went to purchase some more interior paint. The price was much cheaper than what I had paid at another paint store and they have so many other things there. I could walk down each aisle and just browse around. The paint department is pretty quick, 10 minutes to do 2 different paint color gallons. Defineatly recommend if youre painting your home . Prices are less than what you will pay with the other guys
Very knowledgeable staff. I was able to find the parts needed for my home project unlike other stores. I spent 2 hours looking at the other hardware store and this is the only place that truly had everything I needed.

Ive been shopping with this family-owned Ace hardware store ever since my first project. Helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, long-term staff. Not really a building supply (i.e lumber, rebar, sheetrock) store but just about everything tool, home, pet, electric, cast iron kitchen, work clothes, special fastener, garage door, halter chain cable by the foot, locks, bath, gardening outdoor AND INDOOR! (Soil, nutrients odds and sods). Oh yeah patio and Barbecue - nice BBQs. Lastly, and Im stoked to say, dog friendly.
They have very good quality clothing and lots of good tools and other things.
Its like stepping back into a small town. We find all my husbands work clothes, rain gear, and make our house keys here. The prices could be cheaper but overall Im satisfied with this store.

As the old saying goes, If we dont have it, you dont need it!Their aisles are packed with items ranging from casual clothing, home decor and household supplies, firearms ammunition, specialty tools, garden supplies, plumbing, electrical, outdoor tools plus every imaginable nut, bolt and washer of all sizes.Their sales staff are well versed not only with store layout, but also the application or use of their wares. The store has a great ambiance and familiarity you can appreciate. Its really a great store.
Awesome inventory. I always end up leaving with more than I intended to buy because their selection and quality are excellent. I appreciate the always friendly, helpful staff — especially in household cleaning where I tend to shop most. Prices are competitive. The store is always clean and orderly. Popcorn is a fun feature. Best part: locally owned. Hubby and I will drive the longer distance to Fresno Ag even tho’ big box stores are more convenient for us.
I love Fresno Ag! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I go there regularly for bird seed for my ducks. And its usually on sale. The employees are helpful to people with mobility problems and very efficient. They have all the hardware you could ever need plus they make keys and have an electrical department. You can buy any type of screw or nail by the piece. They have a wonderful garden section.

I really like the selection of everything you can think of, or not until you see it. The staff does not hide from helping customers and seem to know their stuff, and if not, they will get an associate that does. Their every day prices seem a bit higher than the big box type places, but their service and help, along with not trying to oversell make it worth it to me. Plus their sales and rewards program are pretty good.

What keeps me from coming here on any kind of regular basis are the ridiculous check out lines. Tonight at another cashier is just greedy. Unfortunately, I needed an AC capacitor last night after Fresno Ag had already closed. I called Home Depot and Lowes and of course they both said they didnt carry anything like that in store. This morning I went to Fresno Ag, told them what rating I needed for the capacitor and of course they had it!

I came to this store looking for some womens work pants. I received wonderful and helpful service from the employees. The store has a pretty good selection of womens work clothes but Id like to see more options for pants. I didnt find many pants that fit well or worked with my color scheme. I left with a few items. I would definitely come back, if I knew with certainty that the store carried the item(s) I wanted.

Good experience this time. The associate in hardware was very helpful and no attitude. Dont go there for plumbing too much. Was told by that associate they dont make the part I was looking for, which I had in my hand. Hit and miss finding associates that know their stuff.

He was quick to help and and kind and friendly when I stopped him to ask where to locate an item.After showing him a picture, he led me to the correct location and there it was! Fresno ag reminds me a lot of orchard supply back in the old days. My dad used to take me into orchard supply and I would get very fascinated with the Swiss army knives and all the bins of nails and screws. All things you can find at Fresno ag now. Customer service is a lot better than the big warehouse stores, and they have a massive inventory and selection to choose from. If they dont have it theyve always been quick to tell me where I might look to find it elsewhere.
Best place for hardware. Good prices, and ability to buy individual pieces, by the small package (for some items) or by the box for savings. Extremely knowledgeable staff, especially compared to big box stores. All sorts of stuff you didnt even know existed. Good nursery section, despite small size.
I placed an order online and did not receive a single email so I called the store and asked a simple question of whether or not it was available seeing as how I did not receive an email but the money was taken out of my account. The woman immediately became very rude raising her voice and yelling at me would not give me her name. I will never use this place again horrible horrible service I dont care about the pandemic going on right now if I did not raise my voice to you you do not raise your voice to me. You cant handle it you need a different job.

Ive been shopping here for over 20 years. Surprisingly their prices are very competitive and sometimes less than the big box stores, depending on what you’re buying.The personal service and availability of helpful people in every department, not to mention the Manager, Kevin, is worth quite a lot. I shop here almost exclusively because there is such good support. I am never made to feel inadequate if i need help understanding how to do something. Rather, they are all-in to help as much as they can, including the cashiers.Cant say enuf good about Fresno Ag!
As a locksmith and safe technician there are ALOT of random tools and...well things I need. Not only do they have what I need 90% of the time, their workers actually know what their doing. Costs a bit more then homedepot, but you cant put a price on knowledge

Fresno Ag is amazing. They have knowledgeable workers and pretty much every thing you can ever need. When home Depot doesnt have it, Fresno Ag does. Best of all, you can to to one of their many team members and they will walk you through everything. I once brought pictures of a screen door as I thought I needed a new door. They said I just needed new wheels and helped me put them on. Saved me $100. And I have tons of those stories. The guys and gals there are amazing. I went this morning and they even hooked my 2 and 4 year olds with popcorn. Seriously, who can ask for more. Buy Local, go to Fresno Ag.
We came here for the first time at the recommendation of a random guy behind us in line at the petsmart next to the mile-long HoDepo line as my wife and I talked about how much we dreaded going into it, who said there was no wait at Fresno Ag. This store accomplishes having that feel of having everything much more successfully than the previous store without the overwhelming feeling of oppression. And there were so many employees to talk to!

This place has everything! Whats even better is they have incredible staff who know exactly where everything is too. It also feels good to keep the money local if possible. We dont know these home depot and Lowes people, whered they even come from? Fresno AG, theres no question youre keeping it local. You might pay slightly more than other places but in my opinion knowing theyre probably gonna have what I need and knowledge to answer any questions I have, thats worth the extra 85 cents or whatever it might be on the item itself compared to chain store pricing.
Great store. If theres hardware you cant find, Fresno Ag has it. Also, a lot more. We went for furnace filters and spent another $100 on other stuff. Almost as hazardous as Costco! If you can find product elsewhere, you may beat their regular prices, but sale items are good and theres lots of stuff you didnt even know you needed.
Very busy place, staff very helpful & quick, not like Home Depot (River Park) Fresno Ag trys to always be stocked & usually you can get it there & quick , no attitude involed!Some items a little pricey, but this is the place to go.
The one and only place to go and find anything you could think of. Also unmatched customer service. Feels like how service way back in the day would have felt. Definitely recommend Fresno Ag.
This place is amazing. Some of their stuff is a little pricy but thats just for the things you can get at Walmart or some other store for everything else I love this place. If you love to bbq or makeovers around your house garage or etc. This place has it all and an Ace hardware also inside. Best of 2 places in 1
They are the nicest most knowledgeable staff when it comes to anything hardware-related! They arent always the cheapest but I guarantee they know exactly what you need and I guarantee they have it in stock. The nicest people ever in a world where customer service is constantly lacking.

Our first time here and we were very pleased! Ronda helped us out tremendously in the lawn & garden department. She definitely knows her stuff. Including the gentleman working in the Stihl repair department. You don’t find many people these days who are passionate about their craft like the people who work here.
Their business check and return policy beyond sucks. Waited forever for their “super busy “” manager Kim (‘cuz re-arranging the kitchenware shelf was more important than my time), only to be told that the same check Home Depot and Lowe’s has taken time and time again wasn’t good enough “per their policy.” Hence, my new policy of never going back.
I go here for paint, but they have variety of stuff.
Its a more one on one store they help you get the tools ,parts and info you want and need

A good hardware store that carries some items other stores dont. The salespeople are knowledgeable, and want to help customers.
I found this store to be clean and well organized. I did need help locating an item and was greeted by polite knowledgeable staff who quickly help me not only find it but told me about it and helped me choose the best one for me. I noticed some things like clothes were a bit pricey but you get what you pay for right.

Awesome service.. I had a project in mind for a custom mount for my fish finder on my kayak and I talked to Elmer about the idea and showed him a couple pics that I had of my yak and he found everything I needed. Also as Elmer and I went around to the different sections of the store every employee was extremely helpful. All of them know their stuff. And what was really cool is it felt like they were taking on the project with me, making sure everything was going to be a perfect fit and long lasting material.This place rocks, Support you local businesses!

Best hardware store in Fresno. The staff not only know their inventory, but are knowledgeable about the department they work in -- staff with experience. Youll find far more obscure parts than Home Depot or Lowes (Bulk Vendors). The staff are friendly and professional. Whenever I need help on a project, Fresno Ag is where I go.

The store is and has always been our go to place for that odd or seldom needed item. The cashier however is another story. She certainly seemed like she did not want to be there. To the point that we felt like an intrusion into her day, rather than the reason for her job. Fresno Ag... You can certainly do better!
Great place. Really helpful. Smaller company than Lowes so more available to help you out w questions. Definitely has a lot of stock of various products as well.
The guys in plumbing dept. helped me figure out how to change out a heater thermostat in my old MH. The actual wiring was not colored as expected, and the instructions that came in the new thermostat did not help. Thank you SO MUCH for your knowledgeable, experienced, and helpful staff!! You saved me a lot of money by enabling me to do it myself.
Their Paint Dept. has always shown me courtesy and outstanding service. Im a painting contractor and have been going to this store for over 25 years and they usually have everything I need for the jobs I service. The only downside : Get in line, cause tons of people really like this paint department too! Thumbs up! 👍

Fresno Ag is a true Fresno institution. It is a complete hardware store. Of course it is not as big as some of the huge box stores. But it is a very large family type hardware facility. It employs highly skilled people who know their specific trade very well. Whether you want to make keys, repair a plumbing or an electrical problem or just want to buy ammo or wrangler pants and contractor coats, Fresno Ag is where you want to go. And no Im not on their payroll or related to them. Just a big fan.

2022-05-17Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff. They seem to have everything. And theyre close to our house. My wife loves to go here for everything garden related when she doesnt make the trip to her favorite nursery, Evergreen or Gazebo Gardens. Ive loved going to Fresno Ag since childhood with my dad though sadly he is no longer with us.

2022-03-03My toilet was backed up, so I went there for a plunger. I had a regular plunger that didnt do the job. I tried other method and they didnt work. The staff was friendly and helpful. And the plunger I bought worked perfectly,; thank God I didnt have to call a plumber. In my opinion, this is the best hardware store in town.

2022-06-19Great customer service. They have a lot of different things for the home...even cute toys for the kids....they also have outdoor stuff like fishing, pew pews. Clothing to BBQ pits, American flags...plumbing for your business or home....just an overall nice place to shop....OH they have cinnamon rolls you can take home and bake.

2022-06-06Great place for everything from your house needs to your yard needs and anything in between. Very nice people and were celebrating their 185th Birthday on this Day. They also gave jobs to those that worked at orchards and lost their jobs when it closed down, thats team work from one business to another. Prices are very reasonable and if you need something maybe hard to find I wouldnt be surprised if you might find it HERE. SO THUMBS UP TO A STORE THAT HAS MANY SURPRISES IN IT.

2022-03-19A little pricey for my taste, though maybe thats just cause of the inflation. Did get what I needed and got lots of help from the workers here. I like that each section of the door has knowledgeable employees to tell you whats what. Ill be coming back for more necessary tools that I know will be in stock. Thank you Fresno Ag 👍

2022-03-23Its a little pricey compares to the big box stores but tye service is far better. There are experts in plumbing and other departments that can really save a lot of headaches for the do it yourself folks.
