Recently took a trip to the Bay Area. First time flying into Oakland, since we typically fly into SFO. First time renting a car at the airport too.. Was totally expecting mediocre customer service but was taken aback and pleasantly surprised by the excellent customer service!! Shout out to Nipa for giving us 110% - she was totally attentive and courteous throughout our entire transaction and answered my partners 10 million questions. Will definitely be flying into Oakland over SF now. And 11/10 recommend Enterprise!
In the old days ,on our vacations I used to choose whatever was the least expensive car rental company. Two times with two diff UN-named less expansive car rental companies we nearly missed our return home flights due to terrible cus service and or long waits to get the car returned .Also I tend to do a LOT of miles on our vacations, so in my case I purposely choose an economy car to save on gas. Esp. now mid 2022, gas prices are thru the roof so getting the type of car I actually booked was important to me. In the past with those OTHER car rental companies....Id reserve one type of car, but most of the time I got a totally different sized car than I wanted...well, just wasnt great. Long story short since I have been using Enterprise even locally a few times, everything has always gone extremely smoothly, cars are always in great shape, NO surprises no up sells. Enterprise may cost a little more than the cheap rental car companies of the day, but its been my experience I always have a great stress free experience with Enterprise, and I highly recommend them...
Extremely disappointed with the quality of service my friend and I received by the manager and one other male staff member who kept saying “he was the new guy” as an excuse for his inadequate knowledge of company policies. They would not accept a debit card when it clearly states on the website that they do. Previously hired a car in Las Vegas just days before and received excellent service. Clearly the staff here are unaware of the company’s policies, get a reality check and hire staff that have an idea of what’s going on.
Great customer service experience. The first Veh presented was not adequate for our needs. We were given another Veh immediately that was perfect. Thanks to our great customer service rep. She also gave me directions twice, because I am old, and I have CRMS. Thanks again!
Oakland representative was very rude and unwelcoming, she actually snapped at me about being in the wrong line to check in and asked rudely about me having a reservation. My partner also asked questions and was completely ignored. POOR POOR customer service, upon our return we did discuss it with her manager and he was apologetic, but the employee was present and said nothing but glared at both of us.
Very good, had a great time on our vacation. Had a good reliable car with an upgrade. Got good gas mileage. In a week drove almost 900 miles different terrain in CA. The team there at Enterprise Oakland Airport were terrific. Helpful and explained all my questions. Were very nice. Will go back
I had a great experience flying into Oakland and with Enterprise here. We normally wouldve flown into SFO but this time we didnt and we were not disappointed. We were greeted by Maaz, who was very patient and helpful with the entire process. Thanks to the great staff here that assisted us.
Be VERY CAREFUL - the last two rental receipts did NOT match the car I returned. Because I looked at the 2nd one, they sent me a corrected email immediately. I am still working on the first one! I need a correct receipt to dispute bridge tolls. I have a photo of the license plate and a copy of the bridge tolls after I returned the car. The receipt has the correct car model, mileage, but a different license plate #. NO ONE from the office even returns calls - is has been 6 days now. Every day when I call they assure me the manager will call you back, but nothing! At one point a customer service person said the plate I had was not in their fleet (despite my photo and verified bridge tolls). The staff, when you check in and out are all very nice, but there is something shady going on in this rental center. Are they switching license plates?
The young man, Darvonte, at Oakland Airport enterprise was stellar in his customer service and made me very comfortable with the process. If this review was based on Darvonte then it’d be 5 stars, but unfortunately, it’s not. Excellent customer service aside, the car was on EMPTY when I got in and was also dusty/dirty and obviously hadn’t been cleaned. That’s whatever, I don’t hold that against anyone. The biggest issue I have is that I 100% left a pair of Beats headphones in the back seat and remembered after I got off the shuttle after dropping off the car. I immediately called and filed a lost item report, KNOWING a million percent that I left them in the back seat. After filing the claim I have received zero feedback from Enterprise and am not confident in your ability to get my lost items returned to me. This isn’t the first experience I’ve had with an item left in the car and that was also never returned to me. Am I to just expect that if I leave something in the car it’s just gone? I am Enterprise member and rent from you all regularly and love renting from you all, but if this is the customer service we can expect if something is left in the car then that is unfortunate and I will be moving my business elsewhere. Best part of the experience was Darvonte.
While in Oakland on a business trip I rented a car from Enterprise. Staff was very friendly, fast and efficient. I asked a couple questions about the area and the representative was happy to take a few minutes to make sure I knew where I was going. I wish I would have asked her name, her customer service was top notch! Check out and check in was great, they get you in and out quickly!
We value Enterprise and the experience weve had over the years. However our last experience out of the Oakland Airport was less than stellar and extremely disappointing.First, there was only one person there to work with people. It took almost an hour to get waited on. During that time, we saw this woman struggle to find cars for the people in front of us.Second, when it came to our turn, she raced through, didnt ask if we wanted to upgrade. The only car left was a Nissan that was too small for my tall husband..his head hit the roof. As soon as we did the walk around, she skedaddled. This is not the type of service Im used to with Enterprise. I hope this is a one-off.
We have our corporate account with Enterprise, and their customer service is typically VERY good. However this time we were using a new airline our of the hanger (not the normal airport) we were unable to get a lyft or cab and the manager went out of his way to ensure we made it to our flight on time. This kind of personal treatment is never forgotten! Some employees are unable to think beyond corporate policy or normal routines, everyday business functions. Im so happy that Enterprise is hiring employees who think for themselves, and value the long term customer relationship.
Do yourself a favor and use a different car rental service. My reserved vehicle (2days) was supposed to be $118. I show up to pick up my car and..... surprise $237. After finally talking to the manager and they didn’t offer any understanding I walked and used Avis for a much cheaper price.
My latest experience was not surprising. What was surprising is my expectation of having a negative experience due to the location and time of my travel.Your team at Oakland airport was fantastic. We had a challenge in my reservation. The team resolved the issue and I was on my way. An old friend used to say no fuss, no muss. This is my typical (not surprised) experience with Enterprise- excellent service, excellent people.I will continue to be a loyal renter....
This was the first time using Enterprise at the Oakland Airport. Overall, it was a good experience but one little item surprised me. We drove the car 68 miles. We filled the tank up a few blocks from the rental car location; even topping it off a bit to make sure it was full. To get a receipt at the gas station we would have had to go into the shop and because of Covid we skipped that. When we checked out, we were not asked if we filled the tank, nobody got in the car to check the gas gauge. When the gal told me the total it was $4 more than the quote, but I figured it was just a tax. After walking away and looking at my receipt I realized they added a fee for gas. It’s not a lot of money but it was a surprise. It’s not even worth a call, just wanted to post so others can be aware.UPDATE: I am updating my original review from a 3 star to a 5 star as Enterprise has resolved this issue to my satisfaction.
Can I give a zero star? Arrived from my flight and me and 9 other people stood around waiting for something/someone. As Im writing this its been over 45 minutes without so much as a word from anyone working. They appear to be out of cars to rent. Pulling one up at a time. Terrible service. Terrible experience. I still have a 2 hour drive ahead of me and Ive wasted 45 minutes so far here.Well were now checked in but dont have a car. Its like the Seinfeld episode. You know how to take the reservation, but you dont know how to keep the reservation. We did get an apology from one of the employees and this really doesnt seem like their fault. Looks like management has let us all down.
First let me say the general manager Latasha has been there for years and she is always so helpful, customer service oriented and keeps her word. Staff seems to have good customer service skills as well. The ONLY downfall to renting vehicles is sometimes the cleanliness isn’t always up to par. The dashboards could be wiped down just a little bit better, seats(under & sides) could be vacuumed a little bit better & maybe some type of disinfectant sprayed after cleaning to mask the lingering smell of cannabis for those of us who do not smoke. I love this location but I always have to take that extra step in wiping the steering wheel & dash down. Gas tanks are always full and they’re quick to correct a mistake. I appreciate latasha and her staff .
I only use Enterprise. My last rental was from the Oakland airport. Very nice people, super fast in and out. Reserved a Jetta size car for a week, got a nice upgrade to a new Jeep Cherokee Latitude, awesome vehicle. We will be setting up another Oakland rental soon. I tell everyone to use Enterprise. I have always had good service, been using Enterprise for over 20 years. Thank you.
Lets start with my car being infested with ants and NO ONE from this location would call me back or even take my call.. that should be enough to make anyone not use this location.. This used to be a great location to get a car from in the Bay area. Now they are massively under staffed, the cars are dirty, and if you have a problem you WILL NOT be able to call this location. I will either flying into San Jose or using a different rental car company when I come to the bay area
After dropping off my car at Collision Center, I called Enterprise and they told menI would have to make a reservation two hours before picking up the car. I get a ride from Collision Center only to be told Airport Enterprise doesnt do Car Insurance rentals. DO NOT GO THERE IF YOURE IN NEED OF A CAR INSURANCE RENTAL, YOULL BE WASTING YOUR TIME!
I had reservation with enterprise and lady who is assisting me posting my credit card information in 3rd party web sites which is not approved by enterprise..I wonder how they were hired and trained. They should have proper training to differentiate what is debit card and credit card in first place.
Before you make a move, read the reviews on Yelp.If where/when you spend money you expect 1. respect 2. integrity or 3. service then this is not the rental company location for you. I have not experienced such horrible service in my life. I would rather pay more for a degraded vehicle from another company than deal with the level of service I received from this place. Give me a clunker with great service and a smile rather than have to be spoken to like a child and disrespected by those whom you are spending your hard-earned cash at. The staff at this location seems to be tolerating being employed. The employees at Enterprise are not happy to be there and its evident in the way they treat customers. I dont know if this is evident of toxic top down culture or a lack of corporate care either way its spilling over into the customer experience. I arrived on time and no one was there. Once they arrived approx 30 min late and didnt honor my 2 promised upgrades because the managers who gave me the upgrades were either on furloughed or not there so it could no longer be honored. I received extremely dirty cars with previous 2 rentals and in order to make up for the state of their vehicles the managers have me a free upgrade for my next rental due to the fact that I had to clean out the vehicle myself. They tell you one thing but do another, will make up policy on the fly and will not honor that policy later. Keep in mind not only do I have a corporate account but I am a frequent personal renter. I will NEVER rent from Enterprise again. If my money is my voice hey will no longer hear my voice at Enterprise. Use any other rental company other than Enterprise. National is owned by the same company but the service experience is on the polar opposite. Avis at the Oakland airport has excellent staff as well. Go speak with Tess at Hertz shell take care of you. Trust me steer clear of Enterprise.
Its Enterprise. Service was great. They took care of me, very friendly, speedy service. I was on my way in no time. Reserved a minivan, they were out. As I was waiting, a minivan had arrived. Was spotless inside, totally clean. Enterprise gets it done. I rent with them because I know what Im getting into. The price from my reservation was the price I bad. Zero complaints.
I always use Enterprise to rent my car! Check in is super fast and easy, takes about 3 minutes. Cars are always clean, great condition. Last 3 times I rented, I received a brand new car with less than 3000 miles on it. Drop off is also always fast and easy. Also, great customer service and easy to get an upgrade for free ;) I will never rent from another company
I arrived at the Enterprise booth, 2 of the 3 attendants were not wearing masks. I was informed there were no Full size trucks. This was irritating because they could have called me prior to my arrival of no trucks. I made the reservation 10 days earlier. I waited an hour and a half for a truck swap. When I returned the truck, only the National rental car attendant was present. I ask for an email statement. The Enterprise attendant checked in the truck 45 minutes after the drop off. I had to dispute the 1 hour overcharge on my credit card. That is stealing. I certainly will never rent at Oakland Airport from Enterprise.
We made a reservation online, talked to a representative that assured us an agent would be there when we arrived even though it was going to be 10:00 before we got to the place.Showed up to the location, and nobody was there. We were not the only people that this happened to last night. Reading reviews found out this is not the first night this has happened either. So not only are we having to pay extra for a rental because we had been given false information, but we also were late to the city we had to be in.
There was only one Enterprise check in person for 4 car rental companies at Oakland which caused our wedding party a 2-hour delay in picking up our cars and being late for a wedding rehearsal. My cars oil change late went on as i got to my destination and stayed on for 3 full days and the Apple Car Play never worked.
Oakland Airports Enterprise Rent-A-Car is the best car rental I have come across so far. Excellent pick up at the terminal. The staff goes out of the way to make sure you know where you are going and how to get there. The Nissan was spotless and ran perfectly. The staff makes sure you are ready and oriented. The return was effortless. There was no high pressure sales to add costs to the rental. My questions were answered promptly. Staff is energetic and treats you like you were the first person to come in that day and the only one expected. Personal service is great.
Mediocre experience. I booked a car last minute and travelled to the Oakland Downtown location, only to be told that they were sold out of cars. Very annoying, as soon as I left I received a text telling me what I had just found out. Had to go all the way to the airport to get a car. The lady who helped me there was very helpful and made everything go smoothly even though I had already incurred a bunch of extra costs and used a bunch of time. Usually my experience with Enterprise is good
One of the best rental car experiences Ive had in a while. The pick-up was very well done. They walked us out to the aisles and described the choices we had. All were good, but chose the brand spanking new Dodge SUV. The SUV was flawless. The car return was very easy. They had made little error in which credit card to charge. They took car of it and gave me a little credit on my charge. That was already more than necessary, but then they asked one of their employees to drive us to the airport terminal rather than wait for the next shuttle. The customer service was the best Ive seen from a rental car company.
Ive rented cars from many different companies over the years but for the past several years, I dont even bother looking at other companies, I simply book with Enterprise. It started with me working on booking a car online and I used a couple of the sites that check every car rental company known to man. While I was usually able to find a rental that was $15-20 cheaper, I kept coming back to Enterprise because Ive always had a positive experience with Enterprise. The staff at every location is always very friendly and the Oakland location was certainly no exception. When I picked the car up, I was given a friendly greeting by every Enterprise employee I had contact with. When I dropped the car off, I was not only greeted but was thanked for my business by at least four different employees during the drop off procedure and as I walked to the airport shuttle. The process at pick up and at drop off is pretty painless and incredibly quick. I highly recommend Enterprise and the Enterprise Oakland location. They certainly seem to be doing it right by fostering a corporate culture of friendly outstanding customer service.
Both Nee Nee and Luke (Oakland, California Enterprise) were so accommodating and a pleasure to work with. They are very competent people and know how to talk to people. Keep up the good work, Enterprise! We will see you again in Oakland, CA in mid December 2021.Many thanks!
Nissan Versa with < 2300 miles from Oakland Airport (5/27-6/1): 1. the gas gauge was broken and permanently stuck at @1/8 tank.2. the AC barely cooled; 3. No washer fluid in reservoir requiring personal purchase; 4. When I requested a replacement vehicle and was told by Enterprise customer service person to go to the Hayward CA location, the manager on duty 5/29 said that Enterprise had not notified him of this and he had no cars available. 5. It was impossible to reach anyone at the airport branch with a question or concern even when dialing that number. One must deal with the automated customer service process which is very frustrating. On the positive side, upon returning the car about 6PM on 6/1 the Oakland airport person credited a portion of the bill for these inconveniences.
Booked over the phone and was promised a certain car. Called the pickup location to confirm and they said that they cannot promise particular cars, even though I asked the rep on the phone 3 times to confirm make and model. They gave me a 1 pm pickup time, when I arrived the location had been closed for an hour (12pm).We ended up having to drive 20 miles away to get a car, the rep on the phone said they had a similar car in the class I reserved. Once we arrived they did not have that class of cars available and only had a handful of automobiles to choose from.Terrible customer service from the phone reps and booking system. Giving two stars because the Oakland Airport staff was friendly and helpful.
We rented from Enterprise three in the last month or so. All 3 times the staff was very helpful - especially in Hawaii. There our car started making an odd noise so I contacted their road side service and talked through what was happening with the service tech. After determining that it was not a dangerous situation, he said he would immediately call the rental location at the Maui airport to let them know we needed a reaplacement car. When we arrived at the location, they had a car ready for us with minimal effort on our part and they upgraded us to a better vehicle by way of apology.Good job!
I love Enterprise, They hire smart, interesting, capable individuals who are friendly and on the ball. I have NEVER had an issue with them. The cars are great and there is never a wait. I dont ever even consider any other companies now, they are far above the competition. I have spoken to several of their employees and they are happy to work for Enterprise and feel valued and well taken care of. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with them and I can not say that about any other part of my travels. Thanks, Enterprise
Customer service was helpful and communicative when I was waiting. Car should’ve been cleaner - there was some trash from whatever was in the car last and because we’re in a pandemic the cars need to be as clean as possible which includes checking the car floor and glove compartment.Car drove well and had no issues once I was en route.
First I got a car with transmission problems. I switched it to a second car which ran well but wouldnt start on the fourth day. A Sunday after dinner. The worst part of the rental experience occurred when the second car wouldnt start. I was stuck for nearly two hours waiting for the (half hour for the customer service phone to be answered) tow truck to arrive. Then, since they cant come pick you up due to the virus, I paid out $100.00 for a ride to the nearest rental agency and then got a choice of two cars to drive home. I cant seem to get that $100.00 back from them. I think Ill have to to stop payment on the entire rental via my credit card company just to get to talk to anyone.Enterprise used to be my company of choice. Never again
Staff were exceptional and friendly. Due to the pandemic, tolls could not be paid at the stations, so they were added after the rental was returned. Unfortunately, Enterprise charged a “service fee” that was more expensive than any of the tolls - this felt like opportunistic charging of customers for something beyond their control (not cool).
Extremely happy with rental experience. Surprised by initial intake - much faster completion with process. Same very rapid, simple selection of rental - actually offered a free upgrade since chosen model class was not available at the time of our apppearance at the rental lot. Our chosen auto was clean, no problems in operation. Return process was very fast and efficient. Cost of rental was entirely satisfactory. Enterprise is and will be definitely our first choice in future rentals
Enterprise is truly an unlimited mileage rental car company (with minor limitation), with superb service.I recently (March/2015) rented an economy car from the airport location for three weeks, and got a free upgrade (from a membership I had). The lady at the front counter was extremely polite, courteous, and very professional. Since car was reserved, very little paperwork was needed. I was there for no more than 3 minutes before the agreement was printed. I confirm with her manager(?) that the rental indeed has unlimited mileage since we were taking a tour across the west coast for three weeks. The only restriction was that the car stay in the US, you need to rent it from the airport location.Picking up a also another new experience for us. The lady at the lot was expecting us, greeted us with a big smile, and showed me at least 7 cars, and asked which one we prefer. This was unexpected, since rental car co. generally just give you what they assigned.Car was brand new, with less than 1000mi, and clean inside out. It also came with XM radio, which was a bonus on long road trip. You get ~20 useful channels. (news, musics, PBS...etc).Return was also a breeze. We finished our trip 1 day early, and decided to return the car early. To my surprise, Enterprise deducted 1 day of rental fee from our original contract. This has never happened to us with other major companies. Needless to say, this made us even more pleased with their service. Return was extremely efficient. The staff had a handheld printer, and printed our receipt (which already reflected the new total) while I was talking to her. Return took less than two minutes, and we did not noticed any other fees that some companies sometimes add on to your final bills.Every staff at the OAK airport location we encountered were superb. We will definitely use Enterprise again, and probably for all of our future car rental. Enterprise OAK Airport deserved a six star rating.
The customer service was great. Getting the reminders to pick up and drop off my car was a nice bonus. My only issue was the car I got. It was a 2019 Toyota Camry. The car was clean the windows were rolled down it had low mileage seems perfect right? Well I had to roll up the windows, I drove it home and it sat in the sun while I finished packing for my road trip. When I opened the door after a couple of hours, it hit me the strongest smell of marijuana you could imagine. I drove it to pick up my friends and had to stop at a grocery store to get air freshener. While on the trip I had to repeatedly spray the car down and I was praying I would not get pulled over for speeding because as Ricky Ricardo would say you have some explaining to do. I let them know when I dropped it off and they did nothing. I contacted them on their webpage and still nothing. Then I get this email to provide them a review of my experience. Guess they didnt get the email.
I was traveling for a family funeral with my son. I selected the latest pickup time which was 9pm. My flight was scheduled to land at 10pm. I called the customer service line, gave them my flight information, and asked if I could get a later pickup time or if I should cancel my reservation. The woman was very nice, checked my reservation and told me that there was a grace period for late arrivals and someone would be there until 11pm. My flight landed early, I caught the shuttle and arrived at 10:25pm. No one was there.I called the customer service line and was told that it was after hours, there were no managers on duty, the facility didnt open until 6am and I would have to call back at 6am and I was on my own until then. So I did. At 6:15am, I was told that they cant connect me directly to the facility because no one wa answering the phone, but they were putting a note to the manager and I should be receiving a call shorty. I called back at 10:45am (while waiting to finalize the funeral arrangements) and was told that I just needed to go to the airport to resolve my issue, that they didnt know why I was told I would receive a call, that they couldnt deliver me a vehicle because of COVID, and there was nothing that could be done over the phone or at another location, that I just had to go to the airport (meaning that they left me without transportation for my funeral and graveside events) and that there was nothing else they could do.After my events, I went to the airport. They gave me an SUV that was the same size as the one I had reserved but said that because it was a Cadillac brand, it was considered a luxury vehicle and 4 steps above what I requested. It was all they were willing to do. If it wasnt for the fact that my company has a corporate account., I would never rent from enterprise!(update) The email-based consolation prize was an apology for bad customer service and a free 2-day rental coordinated through several random customer agents via email, none of which took ownership of my issue.
What a great experience!!! My first encounter wS Mr. Skyler at the front counter. He greeted me with a welcome, a smile and a handshake. He got me squared away quickly and pointed me to the car lot. At the car lot the lady that assisted me was very friendly, engaged and helpful. I like the fact we inspected the car together before leaving the lot. Upon my return the young lady that assisted me was again very friendly and engaged. She asked me about my trip and about the car. She also got me squared away quickly. I was impressed to encounter a younger generation of people that assisted customers quickly and with kindness...that is a very rare trait these days. I think Enterprise may become my car rental spot. I hope all locations are this friendly. Thanks for a wonderful experience!
Representative was very courteous and professional. He found the best car available on the lot to meet my needs and I really thank him for his suggestion. Even though I had to pay extra for the upgrade it was worth my time and money.I have rented car several times from Enterprise in the last two years and I look forward to renting from them for my future needs.
At most locations Ive had little to no trouble with Enterprise. However, there is nothing more frustrating when you reserve a specific size vehicle for a specific time weeks in advance and once arriving being told your vehicle was not there. What is the point of making reservations?!? The attendant offered me an upgrade for a minivan. For the record, Enterprise this is NOT an upgrade! This isnt the 1st time this has happened but definitely not the majority of my experiences.
I absolutely love the experience each time I go to the Oakland Airport. The people at the check in counter and outside when picking up the vehicle are always so pleasant and FAST (the best qualities to have when dealing with me and reservations). I want to thank you Enterprise hands down for always providing us with the best and most reliable cars and wonderful service staff especially at this location.
This was the quickest and easiest car rental experience in my life. Literally, waited in line for 3 minutes, stepped to the counter, was handed my paperwork and instructed to go outside to get the vehicle. No sales pitch for additional insurance, no pushing of accessories, no making me feel stupid for not choosing their gas refill option (this happened with a competitor in Savannah a year earlier) - just pick up and go. Returning was equally as easy - will definitely continue renting from Enterprise!
I booked with Enterprise since theyre a trusted name in the business but when I arrived to pickup my car I was told it wasnt ready. This is really frustrating when you book something months in advance for a specific time and youre told sorry with a shrug. Waited an hour in the parking lot before the car rolled up and I arrived late to my event.Other than that, the car was great and the return service was speedy. But Ill definitely be hesitatant from booking with them in the future.
I always use Enterprise for my personal and business rentals. After my experience with the Earhart Rd location, I might just change to a different company for my rental car needs.I made a reservation well in advance (one week). My flight was delayed by 3 hours so I called to inform them that I was still on my way and that I was just dealing with a flight delay. The person who answered the phone didnt even take my name or anything to ensure that a car would be there for me when I arrived, she only said well we are open til 10 so we will be here and then she hung up (since this was Saturday, her information wasnt even true as they close on 8 on Saturdays). So when I finally arrived at the location around 6pm, they did not have a car for me. They said it was being cleaned and would be ready in 10 minutes. I waited an hour. During this hour 3 different groups of customers arrived after me but were given cars almost immediately. At least one of these groups were given a vehicle that would have suited my needs. I had reserved a standard sized SUV and one of the groups had received what looked to be a Luxury crossover that was the same size as a standard sized SUV.Finally when they obtained a vehicle for me they promised 10% off as an apology for making me wait an hour. I gladly accepted. If they would have held to this promise then I would have given them at least 3 stars, however, when I returned the vehicle, they tried to charge me full price. I informed them that they had promised 10% off. The attendant went to her booth and returned with a new receipt showing a discount of $15 which is a discount of only 6.25% (base rental price of $240).
In/Out was pretty quick and easy. Friendly staff person helped us get a sweet upgrade at a good price. The interior of the car was not as clean as I would have liked or expected. We never got the satellite radio to work, but when we called they took the charge off with no problem.
Easy shuttle to the Enterprise Counter. Quick and friendly service at the counter. Easy access to the car with a quick inspection and out the gate.Return was easier than the check out. Direction to the location; a friendly reminder to leave the keys and quick check in on onto the shuttle.Great Service by Great and Friendly Representatives. Thanks,
We flew into Oakland from Indiana. It was late, I was tired and a bit cranky. When I arrived at check in the service was quick and pleasant. I had reserved a full size car. Apparently, full sized cars are not really full sized. I am a full size person and need extra room not to mention a hip problem that makes it very painful to get in and out of low sitting cars. The employee saw that I was having an issue with the chosen car and upgraded me to a van, at no extra charge. I have been a loyal member of Enterprise for many years and will continue due to service like this. :)
Enterprise has for years provided nothing short of superb, friendly and knowledgeable professional help in renting cars from them. From the employees at the counter to the person who takes me out to my car, they have all been nothing short of professional and very patient and kind with any questions I have. The cars are always in superb condition and I never get surprised with my final bill. It is always precisely the amount I was told when I first picked up the car. Both my husband and I travel an enormous amount and since the mid-90s have been renting from Enterprise. We would not rent from any other car company. You could not pry us away! The employees of Enterprise are a credit to the company and I look forward to easy, extremely well-priced rentals from them in the future. Thank you very very much!
The experience was great. Customer service was fantastic. Car was clean and efficient.Small issue at the return processing to note: The computer did not depict the damage the agent and I identified when I was recieving the car at the return location. It was not significant but we had both identified a small dent at the pick up and noted it was already documented in the tablet computer the agent had; he even showed me on the screen. But once i was returning it the agent said she did not see it documented. Ultimately, it was ok and they noted it but it was a bit unsettling that they did not have it in the return system.Thank you.
Everything went smoothly. The car was very nice and new. One frustration, this was a small SUV/upgrade and yet it did not have a Navigation system. It seems to me at this point that all rental cars should come with NAV systems, as it arguably makes the driving experience safer, right?
I normally always have a good experience with Enterprise. When I arrived they tried to put me in a 2 seater Mazda. I didnt pick this car because it said it only had room for one bag. We tried to fit but we had to many bags. We than started to wait. Next they tried to put me in a Nissan sedan. I told them I was supposed to have convertible. I was told I turned it down and would have to speak to a manger. (I purchased a mini cooper convertible or similar) We waited longer. Finally they offered me something similar. It was a Volkswagen convertible Bug. The total wait time was over an hour.
My experience with this location was really great. Astounding in comparison to the other rental locations at the Oakland airport. The Chrysler minivan I rented was essentially new, super clean and a joy to drive. The staff made the process seamless and I know that I will be using Enterprise and this location again for my travel needs. This company and branch is so much better than the others at this location.
My husband and I are frequent renters and the service they provide has always been a great experience. The customer service representatives are professional, helpful. This last time we had a really nice guy Eugene, who took his time with us and cared about our concerns. From the beginning till the end he greeted us with a smile & very professional, knowledgeable and experience with his work.We are always pleased and only rent from enterprise... they are Awesome!!! .
Really good customer service. All the staff - from the front desk, to the person getting us to our rental car and then the person checking us in at the return were all very polite and attentive. Unusually courteous - given the lack of customer service these days. The staff at Oakland Airport deserve kudos for their efforts.
Picking up my reserved car was a breeze at Oakland International Airport. The guy at the counter was friendly and quickly directed me their car location. As I approached the Enterprise section I was greeted by a friendly young lady who escorted me to the proper car. After a walk around the car to check for existing damage I was on my way. Returning the car was equally trouble free. The full size Chevy Malibu was clean and ran well. I could have rented a cheaper car but chose Enterprise because they have proven themselves to rent reliable well maintained vehicles.
I rent frequently from the Oakland airport Enterprise. Every experience has been great! They are fast, friendly and efficient. One time I tested out another car rental place, just to see how it would go. It was ok but the stellar customer experience that Enterpise had to offer was missing. I will never go anywhere but Enterprise for my rental car needs.
I work with an organization that has businesses all across the US so I find myself in many locations and we use Enterprise exclusively. Recently I went to the rental counter and checked in for my car. The agent was great and really tried to up sale me into an upgrade. Talking about how my company would want me to be in the upgraded car. I listened and then politely indicated that I would just keep my original reservation. When I went to the lot to actually load up and get on my way the outside agent took me to the upgraded vehicle and then told me they were out of my grade of car. So they then gave me the upgrade for my original reservation. Great I took the car and got onto my busy day. It hit me that the inside agent tried to get me to pay for something better so they could actually benefit from them not being able to provide the actual rental I had reserved. If enterprise was straight up when I walked to the front desk and told me we appreciate your business and your company using us all over the country we are going to upgrade you as a thank you. That would go a long way to lock me in as a dedicated Enterprise Customer and advocate. But now I realize I have got to watch Enterprise like and hawk to protect my company from being taken advantage of in the name of great customer service. Did Enterprise do anything wrong NO but they sure placed seeds of doubt in my mind and I will certainly be willing to entertain bids and offers from their competitors. When I brought this to the attention of one of the attendants upon my return they told me the front desk does not know what cars we have in the back! Ha Ha nice try, so you want to further try to fool me by telling me that Enterprise management is not smart enough to communicate their inventory from one desk to another that is literally 50 feet from each other. To quote Michael Ore in the THE BLIND SIDE, Im not stupid!
I recently rent a car from San Gabriel location and the staffs there is really helpful and friendly. However, I got into an accident and when I contact Enterprise and they told me you can just go to any one of the Enterprise location and pick up a new car to complete my rental period. I called all the Enterprise near where I am located and none of them have any car for me. Including Oakland airport (they mentioned they cannot help me with simply just give me another car). I dont have a choice but to enter a rental agreement to finally get a car from Oakland airport. Although I have to say the staffs at Oakland airport is very friendly and helpful. If it wasnt for this. I would have one star. I guess the only way I can get a car is to go back to where I rent the original car to get a replacement. This is completely insane as I was over 300+ miles away. The accident was cause by a blow left front tire and I almost got kill!!!
We reserved a full sized car three weeks prior to Labor Day weekend. When we arrived in Oakland Saturday morning in 100+ degree heat we were told there would be a 20 minute wait while cars were being washed. So we waited among several other families with little other communication while customers for Alamo and National were taken care of quickly. Their service staff in constant communication with customers while we waited with no info. I along with other Enterprise customers asking for updates and the story changed. An hour later they gave us an economy car and told us we could take it or wait longer. It was filthy. The staff was also frustrated and then became indifferent I believe because they were tired of all the complaints. We all wished we had rented from another car rental company. Ill never rent from Enterprise again.
When in Oakland, I like going with Enterprise. The women are always very gracious and kind. They do not push, which is nice for one who travels a lot. I left my sunglasses in the car and Enterprise was proactive and shipped them to me (on my dime, but that is only fair). As long as I get treated with a down-home friendly smile and face and don;t get the hard sell on insurance and what not, I will use Enterprise. On my last trip, I paid for XM radio but did not get a car with it. Probably an honest mistake. I am traveling elsewhere now. When I have a chance to will ask for those fees to be refunded.
The people at the desk and checkout were incredibly helpful and friendly. The only problem is that the car only had 2 bars of gas (range 81 miles) when I picked it up, which I didnt notice until I was on the freeway heading away from the airport. I put $24 of gas into the car when I got to Berkeley. When I returned the car, they graciously offered to give me a voucher for free gas on my next rental. I declined (in a hurry) but I was impressed that they were willing to fix the situation without even asking to see my gas receipt. All in all, a fine experience.
Check in staff were great. However I returned my vehicle early at the time of opening at the airport. One staff person told me to park the car and put the keys on top of the hood, said I would get an email later with the receipt . When I told him I was not comfortable doing so, he gave me this minor threat of having to wait. My response: that’s not going to happen. I walked to the drop box but a different staff member kindly asked for the keys.
I always have good experience when renting my enterprise vehicle through my local enterprise location in alameda ca. But due to Covid the hours of the location have been cut back and so I had to resort from renting a vehicle at the Oakland airport location.Upon arrival check-in was smooth, but I was shocked when I finally got inside my vehicle on how dirty it was inside. One would think due to covid, enterprise would be better about cleaning the inside of the vehicle. But that wasnt the case for my vehicle. And what even made matters worse was when I tried to put luggage in the trunk there was a used mask there. Next time I rent through enterprise Ill definitely be doing a check inside the vehicle since they are so key about checking the outside for scratches.
Wonderful service, very nice staff, worked quickly to get me on the road and had a good selection of a free upgrade. I loved the car, Chevy Malibu but I do have to say the one thing I didnt care for, not Enterprises fault, with the Malibu is the auto shutoff; the car was great, drove wonderful but in traffic especially in downtown San Francisco the car shutting off every twenty feet was a little annoying, if there was a way to turn that off that feature in heavy traffic would be great. But overall Enterprise was great and will continue to rent from them again. Thank you!!
This was probably the fastest rental ever, off the bus into the car in just a few minutes. That worked well. What didnt work as well was the upgrade into a Cadillac SUV. Nice vehicle to be sure, but every time I opened the drivers door the seat moved forward almost to the steering wheel, making exit difficult. Also the vehicle reset the mirrors, etc every time the vehicle was restarted. When mentioned at the return I was told that they have problems with the Cadillac SUVs....obviously the solution is to fix it or not offer it.
Enterprise car rental - Oakland International Airport. We were on a business trip. We did not check in at the counter, we walked to the lot instead. Luis was the one that helped us, he didnt send us back to the counter, instead he checked us in and even upgraded a bigger car for us with no extra charge. From the start to finish, Luis was so friendly and helpful, he made it so easy to rent car from Enterprise. We definitely will use Enterprise again.
I recently rented a car from Enterprise at the Oakland, CA airport. The convenience, friendliness, and speed of the check in process and driving off in my rental vehicle was amazing. The cost for the rental was so much better than other companies I looked in to.On the bright side, I was tickled to be able to drive a BRAND NEW Mitsubishi Outlander. On the not so bright side, later that day I was rear ended while driving on the freeway in Oakland. I absolutely dreaded having to contact Enterprise to let them know that their brand new vehicle was damaged (driveable but damaged) and concerned about an avalanche of paperwork that I’d have to complete.I contacted Road Side Assistance (as instructed by the Enterprise Airport staff) and the service and concern I received was outstanding. The representative was patient, precise, efficient and caring. I was able to “painlessly” provide information about the accident and get a new replacement car in a short time span. While this all just occurred less than a week ago, I have hopes that the insurance/damage issue will resolved quickly and relatively painlessly as well.I’d highly recommend renting from Enterprise at the Oakland Airport!
As always, a great experience. The associate had a sudden influx of customers, but was able to quickly get additional help and handle the load exceptionally efficiently and well. Got a great deal on the rental, the check-in and check-out was smooth. As a long-time client, highly recommend Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
I have been renting vehicles from Enterprise for many years. When I have tried other agencies, I drop out immediately, nothing compares to Enterprise. They may be slightly higher in price, but the efficiency and quality make up for it. The cars are always clean. If for any reason you are not satisfied, they will go out of their way to make it right. I only rent now through Enterprise! Reservations are always met, no surprises.
The experience of Enterprise itself and the car rented was very good. The car was excellent and very good on gas. The experience of the Oakland Airport rental car center was less than favorable, but not horrible. The staff was good, although the pre rental inspection of the car was done in nearly pitch black - I would not have been able to see damage even if I was offered to look, as usual at other locations. The inside of the car had many items left behind from the previous renter - including personal paperwork and ahem, a joint in the back seat... but alas this was California and I suppose legal?!? Still, I feel the process was rushed at best, but understandable at this strange rental location. While I had to make this journey, I will never go to Oakland again... Enterprise and the car were probably the highlight of an otherwise weird trip that scarred my eyes (mostly the disgusting city of Oakland).
I really like Enterprise. The only issue I have is the car prices are usually a lot higher than what I want to pay but you do get what you pay for. At the Oakland airport I failed to get the womans name that helped me but she was super pleasant, helpful and made my car rental experience amazing. It was already proving to be a long night because my rental reservation through another company had fallen through so I was completely frustrated and tired. But Enterprise made it all better and the woman helping me really worked with me and got me exactly what I wanted and needed. I am definitely considering using enterprise way more often.
We had a beautiful new Lexus with all the extras except GPS which we didnt need. The cost for three days at under $400 was very reasonable. The only negative was the 30 minute wait in line which the clerk told us we wouldnt have had to do. He said we could have went through the express line but there was nothing in our reservation documents which explained that. Over all, a good experience and we will use Enterprise again.
After reading less than stellar reviews about other rental services, we paid just a little more to rent from Enterprise and were not disappointed. We were allowed to choose one of three models and got good advice from Nick (we want good visibility when merging or changing lanes on highways and many car windows are getting sleek and sporty but have terrible blind spots). Also got helpful information regarding directions and the best route to our destination. Didnt wait, courteous staff, great vehicle; a very positive experience and we will rent again from Enterprise.
I gave Oakland Airport Enterprise 3 stars because they rectified the problem that I had experience. I have rented from this location many times due to hours of operation, convenience to my home and just the fact they have a better selection of cars. My reservation was on Friday, August 6th and when I arrived everything went smoothly until I went to go pick up the vehicle in the back. The lady asked me if I was someone else. I kept telling her my name the reservation was under. She tried to blame it on another employee but when I told her this has happened before this year she said didnt they fix the problem? I told her no, they just gave me the keys to the car. Finally, she told me that she was going to cancel my reservation and recharge my card assuring me that the hold would be reversed right away. After standing there for 15 plus minutes she said, OK, now everything looks right now. She kept apologizing for the mistake and no one fixed this issue early one. She was surprised that the company did not fix it. I told her that I was dissatisfied with the service they provided due to the fact that all of this made me late for another engagement that I need to get to by a certain time. She said for my inconvenience, I would get a free upgrade. Now, back in the day I would have been so happy but due to gas prices it didnt move me one bit. I would rather had them drop my rental price $10.00 off per day but instead they didnt do that. Over the weekend I checked my credit card and they had a hold on their for $280.00 which was not the original hold for the card. It was only suppose to be $140.00 but of course I knew the hold wasnt going to be returned immediately but she assured me it was. I call the Oakland Airport rental care front desk and explain the whole situation and they told me ......Oh, there is nothing we can do until the care is here.So when I returned the car my total went from $120.00 for 3 days to 170.00 for 3 days. I asked why they said because of some insurance I wanted but I told them what was the damage waiver cost that was added as well. At the end of the day, they minus the $40.00 for the additional insurance cost and a free upgrade but really when its their mistake they should have gave me a free upgrade instead of giving me a car that required more money to fill up the tank.Of course I will be renting from them again due to all the positives that I said above but I will be making sure that things are right from now on.
The whole experience could not have been better. It was easy to reserve a car online and then when I arrived to pick it up I was greeted with smiles and kindness! The agent was fast and efficient and I was driving the car within about 10-15 of arriving. Upon return, same thing. Efficient and friendly. Thanks Enterprise!
Terrific price and swift return. But the pick-up was a tedious, time consuming process. Had a reservation, still stood in two lines. One at the counter and one at the lot hut. Watched while the only lot associate coached an entire family through an electric car startup procedure. The association the must have noticed our frustration (perhaps the family behind us too) by offering a no charge upgrade. When finished reviewing our car for any issues, the associate inexplicably needed to return to the lot hut and print our receipt. Took almost an hour start to finish. Argh!
The entrance to the facility hard to find for pick up. The staff were efficient and got me out pretty quickly once I found them. Car nice but smelled of cigarette smoke all week. Drop off easier. Box for keys and shuttle service to the airport was great - ran on time even at 5:00 am., left as soon as I got there even though I was the only one there, shuttle driver nice.
A day before picking up a reserved rental at Enterprise in downtown Monterey, I was called by a manager offering me the opportunity to pick up my car that day to avoid the crowd they expected on the day of my scheduled pickup due to a cruise ship arriving in the harbor the next day. Superb and thoughtful customer service. Thank you.
We just dropped off the beautiful 2017 mustang we rented for a really great price. We didnt realize we could use the fast track service in the toll booths. The toll booth lady said we would be billed 30 dollars for not having the 5 dollars in cash! When returning the car we asked Beau West who was doing the returns and coincidentally who also gave us the keys when we picked it up. He said let me speak to the manager. They gave us a 25 dollar discount! Really great service. Would rent again in a heartbeat.Oh one more thing. I wasnt sure what car I wanted, the camaro or mustang, so Beau let me go check out both and pick what I wanted. I think he could see how excited I was. Thanks again Beau!
The service was very good - they were very quick getting me on my way, and very quick with the check-in afterwards. Im only giving four stars because the vehicle I was given was not as nice as I usually get from Enterprise at other locations. It was slightly older and had stains all over the seats. I should have complained and asked for something else, but the attendant told me it was the last one available. It would also be nice if the guy at the gate was a little more versed in bay area freeways rather than just shrugging and handing me a map.
The staff was very nice. The Chevy Malibu was okay. It got from point A to point B, thats all that truly matters. My only gripe was that the representative who filled out my contract wrote the wrong last digit of the license plate which resulted in Enterprise thinking I didnt return the car when I dropped it off during after hours. Luckily I saved a parking receipt that has the correct license plate listed on it.
Overall it was good. I always use Enterprise for my rentals. This time thought the SUV was a little small to be considered an intermediate. On return to the airport, not entirely an Enterprise issue but it was getting time to get to check in and the Oakland airport rental shuttle just sat while the driver talked to the rest of the drivers outside the bus. All the buses were there and the one I was in was full, yet he waited.
Great experience! Eugene was very patient and helpful as my son methodically evaluated every minivan on the lot for a television. The fact that he was patient and considerate is why I always use Enterprise. The service desk and getting the car were seamless as always. Drop off was super easy and fast!
It was Dec 23 and they were extremely friendly, efficient and provided my family with a generous upgrade (free). The rental car, which normally is boring and uneventful, added the California Dreaming fun to our sightseeing drives on the coast. The employees at Oakland Airport are wonderful. Very happy customer!
They did not have a car available when I got to the pick up location. I was told one person was in front of me. They had three people get their cars before me. I was waiting about 20-25 mins and a couple before me had a problem with the radio screen in their car. I was offered their car and they got the car that would have been mine.I was running really late, so I accepted the car. I jumped in the car and left quickly due to being late for an appointment. While driving I noticed the car was not topped off with fuel. The receipt said full.Upon return the guy acknowledged I waited a long time and offered a discount. I don’t pay for the car rental and said I didn’t need a discount. He gave me 15% off on my next rental hand written on scrape paper. Who know if it will work. He also recognized that I only drove a coupleof miles and waived the gas.Anyhow, this was the worst location I have ever rented from Enterprise.
Enterprise rental car was very nice and helpful when I flew into the Oakland international airport for my contract job. They were prompt and courteous. Even when my flight was delayed an entire day and was unable to return my car promptly for service, they worked with my company to make sure I had no issues once I returned.
Horrible experience with Enterprise!!!! The car they gave me died on me in the rain and at night. Enterprise would not get me another car and told me to follow tow truck back to the airport!?!? I had to abandon the car and walked to my hotel. The next day I had to walk from my hotel to their Berkeley office to get another car. The second car they gave me was just returned and was not clean and did not have a full tank of gas. The manager told me I dont need to return with full tank of gas. When I returned the car at the airport, they charged me for the gas! upon explaining to them what happened, they said theyll waive the gas fee, but it still appeared on my credit card bill days later! THEY SHOULD HAVE GIVEN ME A REFUND! Instead they charge me a fee for gas they did not provide!!!!!!! I was extremely disappointed with Enterprise! We travel a lot, will stay far away from them from now on.
I’m not a frequent car rental customer so the super customer friendly service at Enterprise Oakland Airport has made me an Enterprise customer whenever the need does arise. With the hustle of air travel it was nice getting to the Enterprise rental location and the friendly employees who made it easy and pleasant from pickup to return. The Chevy Tahoe I rented was clean and maintained just as if it were my own car.
Have been traveling to Oakland International every few months for the past two years. This is a shout out for the local team and facility.Over the past 12 months I have seen local staff transform themselves, dress, attitude and a positive attitude. Always a pleasure to work with- even if something goes wrong.Rates and cars at the station are what you would expect. Just moved lot and check in / out to the front of the Oakland Rental Car Center.Give yourself a treat - use Enterprise - I will.April 2021 Traveling again. Used You Click/We Pick reservation. Same great service.. Have added COVID protocols to make process touchless.Stiill my choice at Oakland Airport.
Car rental was fine, no issues. Personally dont care for the limited assortment aka NO OTHER CAR to choose from, especially when the one offered has a black interior, and no electronics to raise the seat..but it drove fine and was clean.I would rate the experience higher EXCEPT that some aspects of your Customer Service is TERRIBLE.I accidentally left my laptop in the rental car. Fortunately I was able to retrieve it with assistance from your local staff, but for the 15 minutes till I got back to the lot (and another 20 minutes of looking around) and was trying to contact someone over the phone to alert them and get assistance with my issue it was a NIGHTMARE.Your automated system is a death spiral . When you call the 800 # you cant talk to a human - be it at a call center or at the local office. When I found the local # I was placed on hold immediately after all the prompt gyrations and then got to experience the phone being answered and then placed on hold yet again...without even a courtesy Hello or One Moment Please, and even the phone number posted on the shuttle bus for the Car Rental Center Lost & Found (specifically), when to a Sprint mail box that was fullThere is something to be said for human assistance in this day and age
I have rented cars from other agencies but I find enterprise is the most effcient. They always have the car I want and if they dont have it they will upgrade free of charge. They are also efficient and I never feel pressured to buy extra insurance. Very satisfied with their operation and efficiency.
GOOD NEWS:Very good service and helpful staff at Enterprise Oakland. They got me into my car and on my way very promptly. Very friendly and professional.BAD NEWS:I HATED the car.( not their fault). The Chevy Malibu has auto-stop which turns off the car at every stop and re-starts it when you release the brake. It makes for a terrible driving experience and there is no way to turn it off as there is in other cars. Lots of fun in San Fran traffic! I wouldnt take it home if they gave it to me. Also, the seat belt latch was faulty and was very difficult to latch and unlatch for the whole trip.SUM:These folks are great to rent from, just avoid the Chevy or any car with auto-stop. Go with a Hyundai or some other.
Staff was very friendly and efficient both at check in and checkout. However the Camry that was given was dirty both inside and out. The seats had dirt stains that I had to wipe down when I got home, crumbs on the dashboard, and 2 dead bugs in the back window. In addition, the car had a strange odor when using the AC. Also, the cars power steering seemed to make a strange noise at times when I tried parking. The plates were from Oregon so its likely it wasnt this locations car, but just wanted the staff to be aware. Would still recommend
We rented a Ford Explorer for our trip to Oakland. The exterior was nice, but the interior was dirty. There were some spill stains on the driver side of the center console, and it was clear they did not take the time to vacuum or detail the car. It looked as though they washed the outside to get it rented out quickly. This was the second time we rented from Enterprise at the Oakland airport, and the first time we rented from them, that car was not detailed on the interior. Needless to say that it is disappointing much less somewhat gross to have to clean a car youre renting. If we rent from them again (and thats a big IF), we will have to ask if the car has been detailed before jumping in.I will add that the customer service was spot on from pickup to drop-off. We wouldve given 5 stars if not for the dirty interior.
Staff was friendly and helpful, however, the kiosk at the rental counter didnt work. Since there were a couple of customers in front of me they encouraged me to use the kiosk. I tried several times but the kiosk wouldnt recognize my credit card nor my reservation number. The car was clean and easy to return at the end of our trip.
Beam me up, Enterprise rental car associate! For my trip to Napa, my itinerary involved flying into Oakland Airport & renting a car to my destination. I was fortunate enough to have the perk of a discount code, lowering the cost of an economy car (Kia Rio or similar) to $73.10. Confirming my reservation 6 days in advance, I landed at Oakland Airport to begin my weekend adventure. The rental car center shuttle picks up passengers at the airport about every 7 mins. The 10 minute ride was quick, having interior visual aides on each side of the shuttle, showing where each rental car company would be located once we disembarked. After a short wait at the counter, I was soon helped by an Enterprise associate. The entire process was quick & painless. He let me know I could use the FasTrak lanes & toll fees would automatically be charged to my credit card. I was soon at the parking lot, being helped by another associate. The vehicle I was supposed to have wasnt available, so he tried to find a suitable contingency. First, I was offered a Maza Miata, then a Ford Mustang, finally deciding upon a white Nissan Altima. It was clean, no offending odor & the perfect size, as compared to the Miata, and perfect MPG, compared to the Mustang. I was offered an additional $22 fee, which would cover damage, which I declined. Coming to the exit, my receipt didnt match the car I was driving, so after a quick phone call, my receipt was quickly changed with some ballpoint pen magic & I was off to Napa. After my trip was over, I headed back to Oakland, making sure to gas up prior to arriving at the rental car center, as I wasnt about to pay Enterprises fuel fee, which is about double per gallon than filling up on my own. I arrived at the car drop off, with an associate sizing up the car on the outside, making sure no damage was done. Seeing how everything was okay, I was given my receipt & was quickly waiting for the shuttle back to Oakland Airport. All in all, I had a very positive experience with this Enterprise branch. I had no major issues come up, and was quite satisfied with the Altima. It was very quiet & had some pep in its step. If Im ever flying back to Oakland, and I find a good price for a rental, I wont hesitate to patronize Enterprise again.Highly recommend!
I rent from Enterprise frequently. This time I rented at the Oakland Airport and there was only one attendnt at the counter so it was a rather long wait but after that all was well. The car was clean and the attendant showed me all the pertenant things, lights, seat adjustment etc, When I returned the car it is a long distance from the Rental center and since I have some health problems I was not sure I could walk that far. When I mentioned this to the attendant he graciously offered to drive me over. He was so nice and I am sorry I did not get his name.
Service in general was great! Made a reservation same day, vehicle was easy to pick up. However, when I needed to ask a question, there was no way to reach you. I called 14 times, left messages (no call back), tried punching in all phone options to no avail. I was trying to switch one rental for another but found out the other offices dont communicate with your system. They told me to contact you directly... When I returned the rental and asked for any future advise, the guy simply told me that the call center is not on location, no other reply available?
The shuttles were conveniently located and ran frequently. The staff was very busy and overwhelmed, but continued to provide excellence service. The car I was assigned had a cigarette burn on the passenger seat. When I pointed this out to the representative, she gave me a free upgrade since there were no other cars in my class.Returning the car was an easy, seamless process.
Wow!! After a really long flight, it was the feeling of a breath of fresh air once I got to enterprise. The team was really professional and Lauren, who particularly assisted me, provided top class service. I judge by how they made me feel driving out and thats why I say she was too class. Very courteous and professional. Would definitely use enterprise Oakland airport again.
Overall, got in and out of the Oakland airport just fine. However, the maintenance light came on after I got to my destination 250 miles away. I called Enterprise and was told that it probably was ok because none of the other warning lights came on. The next day I drove to the San Jose airport and switched out cars. that process was smooth. Since nothing catastrophic happened, Ill give 2 stars.
I left an iPad in the car upon drop off and was very stressed that I had just lost such an expensive item. Especially when I use it in my classroom for my students. I was about to get on my flight home 550 miles away from where we dropped of our rental. To my surprise it was found and had it shipped back to me! I have both picked up and returned cars from enterprise and have never been disappointed. The rentals are in great condition and their toddler car seats are a really connivence when you don’t have to lug around your own when traveling alone with a toddler. Their employees are very friendly and professional. Highly recommend!
Our car was excellent and got great gas mileage. Easy to rent and check back in. However, we are an Enterprise Plus holder and still have to go to the desk to finalize our rental. Why cant we go directly to our car, like other car rental agencies do, i.e. Hertz, National, Thrifty, ect.?
Very friendly and professional service. The other people we were with used a different car rental company and complained about the wait time. Not us. We were served fast, were given a choice of nice cars to pick from, and the drop offf was fast too. Staff very friiemdly. We will always use enterprise.
I rate 2 for my total experience. Enterprise is located off site at a Rental Car facility with other rental car companies. There is a bussing system that takes customers to the facility. For this, there is a process broke: NO ORGANIZATION. For instance, I was among two couples unable to board a bus because it was full. (No problem. We will take the next bus.) By the time the next bus arrived, there was a large crowd waiting to board the bus. Folks standing everywhere along the curve so getting on a bus becomes luck based on where the bus physically stopped. Because this bus stopped short of where the previous bus boarded...and where my wife and I were standing, we had to make aggressive moves with luggage to be the last few to board. This is unacceptable!! An organized system to guide and prioritize entrance into the bus is needed!!As far as Enterprise itself, service was excellent! Personnel were friendly and helpful. I was given an option for multiple cars in the category I paid for. While the outside of the vehicle was not as clean as Id have my personal vehicle, Ive come to accept this as a standard of all rental car companies. In summary, Oakland Airport and the rental companies at the Car Center need to improve the transportation process required to rent a vehicle.
I always rent cars for my business. This time I needed to rent a 1 way from California to Idaho, so I booked a full size car. Arriving on the Oakland airport lot, they tried to upgrade me with a more expensive car (as they always do, but I always deny not needing anything bigger). This time for a such long drive, I opted for a Lexus 250 paying $30/Day extra. I got a well overused car with 36k Miles, we identified problems all around the car except rear left (including all 4 rims) and a broken rear bumper! Then, it took 45 minutes with 4 agents to setup my cell phone to the car. I finally drive away, but 2 hours down the road, I found that I cannot play my music from my cell phone. I had to stop at a Lexus dealer in Reno and even them, it took another 15 minutes to figure everything out!!!So, please, dont ask me if I liked this rental that I finally paid $700.PS: I also received a follow-up email from the manager at Oakland airport, I replied to him but I havent heard from him again...
I regularly rent from Enterprise and usually have a good experience when picking up the car. The counter person at Oakland Airport wasnt the usual friendly and helpful person Ive experience. Not super friendly and didnt seem to want to answer some basic questions I had about the area.Other than that, the rest of my experience was typical of a rental from Enterprise.
I rent a 15 passenger van and my pick up time is 0600 am. After waiting for 30 minutes they inform me that all the keys for their van is lock in the security room. And someone will open it at 0700 am. And If I want to wait and they will give me discount. I finally get the van at 0720 am and the manager said they will wave my rental for 1 day all I have to pay is the taxes and the insurance that I get. But after I return the van they still charge me the full rental. I call them they said someone will call me back. Nobody call me and call back same thing someone will call you. After trying couple of times I give up. Why say something if they will not honor it.
I rented a vehicle for my vacation in the Bay area. I had reserved a premium vehicle. The only premium left on the lot when I arrived was a Ford Mustang. They said I could take it at no additional charge. This was ok with me as I like Mustangs. Ive rented from Enterprise many times before and have always been completely satisfied. Everything was going great until Saturday of our trip when we decided to drive from San Fran to L.A. for the weekend. On our way down highway 5 (one of the most busiest roads in the country) we pulled out onto the highway after we had stopped for a break. Not even a few miles back on the highway and while in the left passing lane we lost a tire. It didnt get a nail or anything it just blew...it literally came off the rim. Somehow managed to maneuver the car to the side. Immediately called Enterprise and the lady on the phone was very helpful in getting a tow truck out to us to assist. In the mean time we are waiting in 105 degree weather on the side of Highway 5. When the tow truck got there the driver said he had never in 15 years seen a tire do what that one did. He said it didnt look like a flat but a bad tire. He put the spare on and got us on the road. The roadside assist agent had told us we would have to go to the nearest location to swap vehicles. This location was the only one open and it took us an hour out of our way. We could not travel more that 50 miles an hour. When we got there they had no premium vehicles so we were stuck with a smaller less expensive car. We managed to finish the rest of our trip. When I got back and saw my bill...they had charged me a flat tire fee. I was pissed. After an almost crash and dangerous situation they want to charge me MORE! I called the offices and they said the could offer me only to take the flat tire fee off...I asked what about discount for having to downgrade and for our aggravation. They said they had to escalate the process to the next level so I said go ahead. I waited and waited and NO ONE called me back. I called again and they said they would make sure that someone would call me back...I waited and waited and still no call back and no refund to my account. I called yet again and this time was told that I WOULD DEFINITELY get a call back within 3 business days. That was more that a week ago and I STILL HAVE NOT heard back from any one about my case. I writing here in the hopes that SOMEONE from management will see this and FINALLY call me to talk to me. If I dont hear back I guess I will call again one last time and if this isnt resolved then I will have to take my future rental car needs to another company.
We were returning from a trip to the Bay Area for my brothers burial, and upon returning our rental, we were unable to arrange for a ride to Amtrak. With only minutes to spare, the on-site manager at the airport released one of his agents in order to drive us to the Amtrak station, and we arrived only 15 minutes prior to the arrival of our train. Kudos to the manager and his young agent for going above and beyond!!!
What a great experience! After a long flight from Ohio and being in an area I had not travelled to before I was greeted at the counter by friendly and helpful staff. They got me setup right away and on my way to the rental cars.At the cars I was met by Deidra. She was very pleasant, immediately gave me my options in vehicles. When I did not find one that met our needs, she immediately offered to upgrade us, for free, to the next class up. When I chose the vehicle, we inspected it together. I found it to be okay, but when Deidra open the trunk she found it had not been completely cleaned. She offered another discount!Because of the staff at the Oakland center our weeks vacation in California was very enjoyable and we had a great vehicle that met all of our needs. Thanks folks!
It was a smooth experience. I saw all the other negative reviews before I came, so I was a bit skeptical but I had no hiccups. I did my research and made sure I had everything I needed and knew what would happen when I got to the counter. Also having a positive attitude when you get to the counter helps. They upgraded me to a brand new Ford Mustang since it was just me by myself! I signed the tablet at the lot, left, and the drop off process was just as easy. Definitely will use them again when I come out to Cali.
Cant go wrong with a $200 SUV in the Bay Area over a weekend with a pick up in Oakland and a drop off in San Jose! All these companies take turns beating each other up, so never expect too much on the service front and usually just go for the best deal. I must report that the folks at the reception desk were truly impressive. The gal that greeted me did so with a warm smile and actually reached out to shake my hand while introducing herself! Never experienced this before. VERY cool. This rental experience was surprisingly great.
Carter Loud checked us in. He was polite, courteous, and got us a good deal on a Sports Car upgrade. It helped to make our weekend getaway to the bay area more fun and memorable. Thank you Carter!!! Hope you enjoy your superbowl get together this weekend! Also upon check in the staff was super friendly as well. The were very personal and non robotic like other employees at other rental companies!!! Thanks Enterprise!!!
Im rating three stars based on my most recent rental experience. Although I had a reservation I was not able to use the self-service kiosk when I swiped my DL. Extremely annoying because the line was super long. Super long. Patience wasnt my virtue and I wanted to get in and out as Im usually able to do for the most part. Other than that, they have great customer service and a great selection of cars. The process of selecting and checking out your vehicle couldnt be smoother. When I have a reservation and the lines are super long I just need the self-service kiosk to be operational to expedite my check-in process. Besides that annoyance at my last visit, this rating would have been four stars.
I rented a Tesla from the Oakland airport location. The service was excellent! Everyone I interacted with was extremely friendly and helpful. The check in and check out was fast. The employees were very patient with answering my questions. I would definitely recommend renting from this location.
I had a great experience renting a car at Enterprise. They offered me a Charger which I hate driving as I am short and cant see out of the windows very well. Our agent then was able to get me a Camry which was an excellent vehicle for our time in Napa. Thank you Enterprise, for helping to make our trip seamless.
Ridiculously priced, under powered, supposed sports car. I paid almost $580 for 5 days for a 2018 Challenger. The agent Anthony was very nice and professional but after making an emotional decision I realized what horrible deal it was. Last year at a different company for the same time period I was able to get a Camaro SS Sport, which was a REAL sports car. I will never use Enterprise again without shopping them extensively. I feel so used. I really regret renting with them.
Im a regular car renter and not one to write hateful reviews. If you dont want to read the disgusting truth about Oakland Airport Enterprise, read no further. My family visited me all the way from India only for them to have the worst trip of their lives. Our entire California road trip depended on having a car and was completely ruined and turned out to be 10 times more expensive thanks to Enterprise. I booked a full-size car with Enterprise months in advance and bought the collision damage waiver. I was told by my Enterprise representative that if my car was totalled I would not be charged for the damages made to the car, and would receive a replacement instantly. This was a complete lie. I would recommend renting from ANY other company if your time and money are valuable to you.My family and I had planned a road trip from SF to SD and then to LA. Unfortunately, I met with a terrible accident where a speeding car driving at around 90mph (speed limit 55) rammed into me as I was taking a left. I had my entire family in the car, and we were in a no network area around Jamestown. Our vehicle was towed out of the area by California highway patrol and we were dropped off to Jamestown. As soon as we recovered from the accident, we made a call to Enterprise to ask for a replacement vehicle. We were told that the Jamestown location is shut and we could either book a hotel, or Uber back to our home and we would receive reimbursement consideration. Shocked, I asked if Oakland could at least send over a car to me The roadside assistance rep put me on hold for over 10 mins and told me to call them myself probably because Oakland airport Enterprise was being difficult.I booked an Uber hoping they wouldn’t cause difficulties. The Uber cost me over $100. The next day we called again and the office does not pick up. We then call roadside assistance and tell them to help us and put us through to someone from either the SF, or Oakland location. Since Oakland airport was not picking up we decided to Uber from SF to Oakland just to pick up our replacement since our trip was time sensitive. Our real horror began when we met the manager and who was the rudest person Ive ever met. I have three other people who would agree with me: ENTERPRISEs roadside assistance employee, another renter who was wrongly being charged for some scratches on the car and the towing company that towed the Enterprise vehicle. Not only was she rude, she was a liar. She told me that my car cannot be given to me unless the car is back in ENTERPRISEs possession. The night before I was told I can get a replacement as this is proof that the car is no longer with me and it is at a towing location. Now, she tells me that the Affordable Towing are shut and refuse to release the car for another 3 days and she would hold me liable for these charges. I call the man and he tells me he would need a 1 hour notice to open up the facility, and allow Enterprise to take the car back. When her lie was caught she covered up by saying that this has to go through corporate enterpise and I can again only receive the replacement once the car is back. Naturally, I could not sabotage my familys trip and ended up having to book four flights from SF to SD and pay for extra baggage. I have tried calling the Oakland airport again to see if they have got the car back, but they do not pick up. The manager has now written a report filled with lies just so that she does not have to release her vehicle. Mind you this accident took place on the 23rd and its 30th now and these have been the most traumatizing days of our lives. The 25th was not only Christmas but also my birthday. The Oakland location is only a money-making business. 9 calls to roadside assistance over 25 unanswered calls to them, I still have no update on if I will be receiving my reimbursement replacement. This Christmas was definitely not very merry for us, and I only have Enterprise to blame for this.
The staff was amazing!!!! There was a system failure the day I went to pick up the vehicle. I thought I would be delayed for at least a half an hour to get the vehicle. There was no added wait time to pick up the vehicle!! Things were handwritten, but the staff did a great job to get me out of there quickly! The great part is that they all did it with a smile!!!!!Again, Amazing!!!!
The Enterprise operation at the Oakland International Airport needs to be inspected and evaluated. The employees there as well as the overall setup need to be upgraded. Here are a couple of specific examples of areas of improvement can be achieved:Employees seem rushed or negligent. When asked for directions for getting on the nearby freeway, the instructions were given in a very haphazard way and proved to be incorrect. On returning the vehicle, the signage is very confusing and does not mesh with the signage provided by the state highway system. From the freeway, their is a sign that points to Oakland International Airport. Upon taking the indicated exit, there is another sign that says Rental Car Returns, followed almost immediately by an Enterprise sign for returning rental cars. Unfortunately, the Enterprise location indicated by the sign is not the airport rental location. Once in the incorrect location, it took several minutes to find an employee to explain the mistake and provide a way to get out of the secured lot.To one employees credit (I was unable to read her name, but she apparently shuttles vehicles between Enterprise locations) at the incorrect lot, she offered and provided an escort to the correct lot, which was much appreciated.Overall, the Enterprise operation at the Oakland International Airport is not up to the standards that I have come to expect from Enterprise.
This Enterprise location is very good - the free shuttle to the rental car station came right away on the way there and on the way. The line to get the car was a little slow - that is really my only complaint. Otherwise the car was fine, price was great and drop off a breeze. A great experience.
UPDATERented once more from this location, November 2019. Continues to offer great customer service, but a very limited selection of vehicles in common categories (compact, intermediate, full size, compact / intermediate SUV). While the vehicles I have received from Enterprise have been acceptable, they werent my favorites - and I had absolutely no alternative available either time. Next visit, may consider yo fly into SFO and rent from SIXT._______________Fast, friendly, professional service from staff. No problem with reservation and pickup / dropoff. Car provided (Hyundai Accent hatchback) was very clean and in great working condition. It made for a great car to operate in the SF area, and it used minimal fuel. However, I was a bit disappointed in the selection of cars at this location, given that its an airport location. Both Enterprise (and sibling Alamo) had a relatively limited selection - despite having loads of minivans - and I visited during a very off-peak time of year. Definitely need to carry more compact, intermediate, and full-size sedans.Overall though, Enterprise (and siblings Alamo + National) are the ones to choose at OAK, unless prices are convincing enough to choose Hertz or (gulp) Dollar-Thrifty. Quick pickup/dropoffs, clean cars, professional service.
Car returned to Oakland International Airport at 8:30pm on Saturday evening. No attendants present at car return location to close out the transaction. Staff members were present to check customers into new rentals. Line up of vehicles in return line was present. New rental customer representative informed first in line at return car location to place keys in drop box after 10-12 minutes of waiting, but didnt inform the rest of us waiting in line. Customers in return line were left with a ...not my job... attitude. Very unacceptable for those of us needing to catch the car rental shuttle back to the airport to catch a flight.
The whole process was about average for airport car rental nothing bad nothing noteworthy. The problem I have is I left my car key in the rental when I turned it in. I noticed when going through security. Called multiple times and tried the different options to talk to someone. No answer on any of them left messages on each of them. Called again when I reached SoCal 1 hour later no answer again. Called later when I got home finally spoke to someone. They acted like they never heard my message and said the car had already been rented out again. I am still waiting for a call back from them two days later.
I have no real complaints with Enterprise. Ive used them many times. There are two things that could be done to improve my experience.1. Allow someone other than me (the driver) to pay the bill. For instance, grandpa wanted to pay for the car rental to thank me for driving him around, but there was no way to do that. Changing credit cards was, apparently, not possible. It should be.2. Provide 2 keys that are NOT wired together. Im paranoid about locking the keys inside the car, so I like for my traveling companion to hold the second key. That is just common sense.Thank you for listening to these specific ways to improve your rental company.
The spirit and enthusiasm of the staff is without question very very high. There does appear to be some systemic problem in that I wanted a car with sirius when I ordered online several weeks ago, and it took an hour before I had my car. But, stuff happens...and I met a few very dedicated folks. Enterprise should be proud.
I was impressed with enterprise customer service. The customer service was excellent, the lady greeted me with professional customer service, a smile on her face, and she completed my transaction quick. In the back I was greeted with a friendly smile, courtesy, and drove off with a car of my satisfaction.
I was stranded in Oakland on Feb. 17 when Southwest canceled my scheduled flight to San Diego -- and, in fact, all flights to Southern California. All flights the next day were fully booked or overbooked. No other car rental company we checked with had a car that could be rented one-way to San Diego -- except Enterprise. They got me a car -- at an amazing rate to boot -- and I made it home safely. I have come to rely upon Enterprise more and more for my business and personal rental car needs. I have to say that Enterprise provides the best and friendliest customer service of all the car rental companies Ive used. Thank you, Enterprise, for coming through when no other car rental company could!
They check it was easy, checking out was a snap... The car I had acted a little weird I would be stopped and it would stall, then as fast as it stalled it started itself... I finally figured out it was a hybrid. Id never had one of those before and silly me paid for a full tank of gas ahead of time... We only used a half tank... It was a nice car with plenty of room for 3 women and all their luggage and more luggage on their way back since we visited Napa... Good Job, Enterprise!
This is one of the best rental car companies and the very best location to rent from. I made a reservation in advance and it took me less than 5 minutes from the time I walked through the front door to the time I passed through the security gate and left. The staff is fantastic. You won’t find a more professional crew working for any rental agency anywhere that is better.
Staff was friendly. Car seemed clean but as I drove, it began smelling like wet dog. To leave facility was easy. But to return car was rather confusing. The sign says “fox return” and it’s difficult to see the other sign that says all other cars. Windows on car were dirty and it made it very difficult to drive agains the setting sun.
The staff was wonderful; fast, friendly, helpful. Unfortunately, we had to take a giant Ford Explorer instead of the mini-van we reserved. This is the second time this has happened. I would like to get the vehicle I am comfortable with when I arrive in a strange city.
I have always had a very good experience renting from enterprise. I find the staff to be friendly, and helpful. Every car rental place gets swamped on occasion but I find that at enterprise the wait times are the lowest. That being said I am giving this particular rental only 3 stars because I found the car to be not as advertised. I specifically rented a standard, listed as a Jetta or similar because a Jetta is a very good car for a tall person. The Hundai that I received although the same in overall length is not a good car for a tall person. I spent my whole trip hunched over so that I could see out the windshield.
Never rent car in this branch, poor attitude and poor service and even make fun of customer. Worst experience I have ever met!!Enterprise told me I cannot use the temporary paper driver license with the real expired ID and let me go with the poker face and funny looking, so I went to Budget Rental, all settle down within five minutes!Such a idiot company with unprofessional employes
Smooth transition getting car at airport. Had a problem with the original car so switched it at local Enterprise without any problems. Turning car back in there was some delay because of some miscommunication but it was not anything on my part. They took care of it and we continued on our way. This is why we begin to use Enterprise, no hassle, no issues, just straight up great customer service, why use anyone else?
Although they were out of cars because of some big weekend. literally Everyone, even all the other car rental places were out.. Enterprise gave us a great deal for the inconvenience, Purchased us redbull, water, soda, even got us into a larger vehicle at no extra charge.. not to mention the discount on our regular rate and let us bring the tank back empty ... how cool is that.I will always rent from them.
I looked up prices and the airport location was over $200 cheaper. So it was worth the extra drive. When I got to the Oakland Airport location everyone was super nice and helpful. They were all very courteous and were able to get me in and out quickly, without being rushed. They were not pushy at all. Im definitely going back here!
I’ve been renting from enterprise for years and before I could rent my parents were renting cars. I am an enterprise plus member and rent from this particular location twice a month every month most times. I have been renting from this location for 2 years and often use my company code. The last few times it was removed and I was told that my cost was higher than what I rented at. When I told them what the price was confirmed and reserved for I was given a hard time as if I wasn’t telling the truth! This happened to me twice. I had to wait an extra 45minutes while going back and fourth with agents that I had reserved at the rate I was telling them. This last time takes the cake. I was told that I was only being given 300 miles because thats what the code allows. Now I find this hard to believe because I know for a fact that is false and instead of adjusting it all they would say is I apologize! For a frequent renter I think this is ridiculous. They were all very short with me and didn’t try to solve the problem. Funny thing is i ended up keeping the car an extra day or few hours and upon return the agent had no problem helping me out with the adjustment. Needless to say after renter from enterprise all these years I doubt I will be renting ever again after I use all my points for free rentals.
Unfortunately it was one of the worst experience that I have had with Enterprise. My first car that I requested to have Bluetooth capabilities to avoid talking and driving and didnt have any working Bluetooth device even though it had it it wasn’t tested. Then the car sounded like a freight truck when its was started in the morning or when you turn the AC on. The car was dirty on the inside and on the outside there was a CD left in the car CD player. Plus it was drinking too much gas it was already off full before I could get to the freeway. And on ¾ tank when I got to Vallejo. So when I finally got a chance to exchange it in Vallejo they were nice but I was not told that I was being given a car with less than half a tank of gas or right at half a tank, the car was dirty on the inside it was dried up food on the driver panel side it looked like someone had thrown up in the back seat on the floor thats made it very uncomfortable for my company that I transported around while I was there on my vacation taking care of my mother and yet the only thing that was extended to me as a courtesy was not taking the car back full and being given a coupon for my next rental which I doubt it very seriously that I will rent from them again because Im totally embarrassed and unsatisfied. In addition to that the car continued to say that the oil needed to be changed soon, it didnt have any wiper fluid to clean off any dirt on the car while I was driving so Im very unhappy with the rental in total. I totally feel ripped off and cheated out my money. To assume I will return and just offering me a free upgrade is unacceptable.
Was told at the desk they were going to upgrade me to a luxury car but when I got outside they told me that car had been recalled all of the sudden and then try to charge me for a luxury car by giving me a Ford Explorer. Then I they tried to charge me double for my car seat if I didnt have my print out they would have charged me $200 more then what I asked for. Very shady wont be using them at any airport now.
Enterprise always provides fast service when picking up or accepting the car. The cars at airports are new and the front inside window is often smudged from the off-gassing from the new car interior. That inside windshield has needed more cleaning on my last three rentals.
Great car and price. But really disappointed that the car didnt have a USB charger for my phone, only a cigarette lighter option. I specifically asked if the car had one and the service agent told me it should, most newer cars have one. My phone ended up dying at the worst time...when I was using GPS to find my way around San Francisco.
Whenever we travel to the San Francisco area we fly in and out from Oakland, and whenever we rent a car it is from Enterprise. The Enterprise people are always pleasant and professional, and the Oakland Airport Enterprise staff are exceptional. The check-in, selection, and return experiences were all delightful. Even the young woman at the exit gate from the parking lot was helpful and extremely nice. We will be back!
This was the first time I ordered a luxury car and actually got one. The car was dirty and reeked of smoke. They had no other luxury car to offer, so I got air fresheners for it.My experience with Enterprise, and I rent often, is that the cars are always very dirty, especially on the inside and they rarely have the car you reserve.

2022-01-14My company I work for rents through Enterprise because of the quality they offer. No hassle and really great customer service. This is a real review, not a fake one. Now when I personally rent, sometimes Enterprise is just a bit more $ than Budget for example. However, if you rent all the time like I do, it wont take you long to stop chasing the lure of saving a few bucks and dealing with the hassle and lack of customer service. Just like Costco, amazing how loyal you become once you have the consistent good experience.

2022-04-19Enterprise representative was friendly and knowledgeable. Wait time was minimal. The car was clean and ready. From start to finish, our pleasant interaction lasted less than 5 minutes, and we were on our way! There was a minor issue about our debit card, but that too was resolved quickly. I was a frequent renter from a competitor whom I will not name, but after a major snafu with them, I tried Enterprise, and will never go back!

2022-03-30The closing manager Angus Lin at the Oakland International airport location was great. They had very few cars. but he took care of me and got me a good car for my visit to the bay area. Mr. Lin was helpful and gave me his card and said to let him know if I had any problems. For a single woman over 70 years of age that is a great comfort. Thanks, Angus.

2022-04-26This was the second time in a row that we have been given an unclean car in Oakland. The first time we had mud on the back seat and the second time we had fast food between the seats. We have only used Enterprise over the past 20 years because they were consistently good. The people we dealt with were all very nice and professional so we arent ready to give up on them yet. We may need to start flying into San Jose to get a clean car though.

2021-12-11The representative was very friendly and helpful. They had 3 choices for the category we reserved, but due to excess baggage we decided to upgrade for a fair price (after they let us see if the baggage fits both in a car from the original category and in the car we eventually took). The car itself was clean, reliable, and (unexpectedly) very well equipped. They even didnt try to sell us any insurance policy - we had to ask for it ourselves! All in all, would definitely rent there again.

2022-05-04I didn’t catch the girl’s name who helped us, but the whole interaction was flawless. I asked for a car with car play and solid gas mileage, got a Kia K5, the car was great. Very clean, great trunk space. From the time I exited the car rental shuttle to the time I exited in my rental car, it took all of 15 minutes. I couldn’t be happier. Return was so easy too.

2022-02-07Initially went there with a previous booking with another car rental and was left high and dry without a vehicle. I was feeling lost because I traveled miles to see my son. Refusing not to cry and give up I went to enterprise (who I should of started with initially) I was greeted by Darvonte immediately and he began to assist me. I explained to him what I needed and why and he excitedly was willing to help to me. His customer service was amazing. He reassured me that I would be able to see my son after miles of traveling and that was heaven sent. I drove off the lot in tears ( happy tears) he was my Angel that day. Thank you for employing him. During this pandemic customer service in places has went down, but Darvonte STILL gave amazing customer service. Definitely friendly, definitely welcoming, and succeed my expectations. Thank you enterprise for having him. If he wasn’t there I don’t know what would have happened. I stop renting from enterprise a long time ago but now you regained a forever customer. I was able to put a smile on my son’s face as we drove off to six flags.

2022-05-10I dont think Ill be using Enterprise again in the future. The booking process was relatively easy BUT apparently it automatically waived the insurance option when I reserved my car, so instead of paying $500-ish dollars for my rental, I paid $700. The guy who helped me out at the Airport rental center was nice enough but was complaining about how the computer system was out dated. Not really something you need to talk about.Customer service was helpful when I needed to know whether or not a shuttle service was available when I was going to do an after hours drop off. They said no. The instructions to return my rental were vauge and not very helpful.
