I had an awesome experience when renting from Enterprise in Goleta. Not only was the driver who picked me up friendly and quick, but they also upgraded me to the 2015 which I enjoyed. Sean was very helpful when I called with questions. The auto body shops phone wasnt working and I asked them to have them give me a call next time he spoke to them. I heard from them within the hour thanks to him. He was very knowledgeable in answering questions as well. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely go back if I need a rental.
The staff was very friendly and everything was very easy and fast. We didnt have to wait in line or to fill in uncountable forms nor have to wait to get the car ready, unlike I am used to whenever I rent a car no matter the company. Good experience with them. If they keep competitive prices I will rent with them again, thats for sure!
Ive only rented twice and both times I reserved a luxury class ahead of time and both times there wasnt any luxury class cars available, was given a cross over instead which was nice but not really what I wanted for where I was going. overall still was good service but I was disappointed it happened twice
I have rented from these guys a few times and they were pretty good. Once a problem happened to the car and I had to return it to the airport branch to have a mechanic check it. After the problem resolved and I later returned the car to these guys, they gave me a reasonable discount because of the problem that happened to the car. Will definitely rent from them next times.
The enterprise location - 601 Chapala St, Santa Barbara always makes you wait 15-30 minutes to pick a car as the car is never ready. This is still kind of ok as I understand that they can be busy. The worst part of the experience was - when I returned the car today was the rep. asked me about the experience and I said it was fine. Then he asks me what could they have done better and I told him that they could keep the car ready when some comes to pick the car up. Rather than acknowledging that he told me in a rude tone as they are a very busy at this location and the cars are not always ready. Guess I am not renting again from this location again and seems like Enterprise needs to invest a bit more in training there reps.
Every time I have had to rent a car, I go to Goleta Enterprise and I have never been disappointed.They work with local merchants to give you discounts when you are getting your car repaired or worked on at a body shop. They pick you up and drop you off and their discount rates are the absolute best. I have never had a bad experience with this group of rental car folks.
I really appreciated the Customer Service at this Enterprise. I originally booked a reservation at the airport but couldnt use my debit card. I went to this Enterprise and was assisted by Brian the manager who went the extra mile to assisting and accommodating me with a rent a car. Will definitely will be back thank you for your help!!
Crystal is an incompetent manager!! The Goleta location WAS a good place to rent from until Crystal took over! She will have you waiting outside forever and then your car wont be ready when she does acknowledge your outside the office. DONT RENT FROM THE GOLETA LOCATION IF CRYSTAL IS WORKING!! Terrible. The vehicle was quoted to me at one price then horribly overcharged when I returned to the tune of a 750 difference!! The vehicle was sub par and rented as a luxury SUV. I absolutely wanted to return it but the girl at the office couldnt exchange for better and simply didnt seem to know how to return it. So I kept it due to the timing of my trip. So I called about fixing my over charged rental and was told I would get a call back.. Expensive lesson for me.. Learn from my experience and use ANY OTHER rental company
When I arrived at the rental office there was no car for me, and I had to be driven to Santa Barbara airport to get my rental. (a little inconvenient).The car was fine, I only needed it for 1 day. however, it was advertised at $40.75 per day yet my final bill was $85.10What are all these undisclosed extra charges?DW =$16.99Pai/pec=$5.13RAP=$5.99SLP=$11.68Salea tax =$3.16VLRF=$1.40Perhaps you should be a little clearer as to the total cost of your daily rentals.....
Rental was easy. Did it online. Having auto repairs. They picked me up to get the car, & dropped me off when my car was done. The employe that helped me was a very attractive young lady........That was pleasant for me..The cost was reasonable.....I would recommend....!!
I have problem with Enterprise on Hollister, Goleta, CA. I ordered standard car, ticket 069420, thru and paid by Geico Insurance, Enterprise brought SUV without any notice, or bill for extra charge. A month later they billed my credit card $101.15. I called them they said its for upgrade and will talk to manager but thats all. Bunch of con men.I disputed it with credit card but no help.
Carlos and I have been using your rentals for about 2 years off and on. Geico referred us to ERC when our truck was totaled. We have been pleased with the service we receive and even when there have been mistakes, they have been handled.Thank you so much~Carlos and Yvonne
I made a reservation online.The best rate was at the airport [Goleta] and I took the bus to them from Santa Barbara. Nowdays there is not rental w/o credit card. In the past, if not credit card was available, you were asked for proof of residence and local employment, plus a deposit. Fair game, and I have been renting from Enterprise [monthly and on and off] for over 15 years. OK, the airport people said no sorry, no credit car we cant rent from this location. BUT well take you to our Goleta site and most likely you save money because you wont pay the extra airport fees/taxes Those were the words from the airport agent, after I inquired if theyd honor the reservation rate at the Goleta site. There was no more talk about fees/rates and an amiable staff greeted me at the site, I left the place paying a lot more than promised, be aware of this and dont take the sweet/professional talk, they are not there to give you a good deal, there are there to sell. In the past I always enjoyed a good car for a terrific price from enterprise, plus being a repeat customer I got good service.
Disappointed. I called today-the Goleta location because I called ahead of time to reserve an SUV. They told me they had one, so to drive over before they closed. Got there before they closed, and they told me I couldnt get the SUV because they had it reserved for someone else. 1). I called ahead of time before I left for my 15 minute drive to Goleta. 2). But I just spoke with you about picking up the SUV! What do you mean you reserved it for someone else! 3). Why would I take an F-150, when I asked for an SUV!?!?Disappointed. Wont be going back to them for sure. I will let family & friends know how bad of a service this location has. I didnt get any good customer service at all.
DISAPPOINTED.. Enterprise changed management once again and customer service has suffered. I recently rented a car from them which had over 30k miles. When I asked Jeff (manager) if I can swap it for something with less miles he said no. Sure enough, as I went to return it and catch my flight, it refused to start and left me stuck taking a taxi to airport. Enterprise car rental, at the SBA airport location, is slowly becoming the FOX and PAYLESS rental company of the SBA area. Vehicles with high mileage and management not willing to work with frequent business renters. I have a choice in rental car companies and I will no longer choose Enterprise at this location. VERY DISAPPOINTED ENTERPRISE SBA.
These folks were so accommodating when I had to rent an auto to travel to my grandmothers funeral and then when the wake went longer than expected and I had to return the car later than planned they did everything they could to help keep my costs down and allow me to focus on what really mattered; my family.
Brian the manager went above and beyond. When I showed up in the morning I ask for a specific car that he did not have there even though he had one similar to what I ask for in the rental agreement, with in some minutes he had the one I ask him for and I was on my way..

2021-06-08The staff at this location has been absolutely amazing throughout the 2 week period I rented a car from them. At an awful time dealing with insurances and body shops where no one seemed to care, Kyle and others at this branch have been the only ones that were understanding, supportive and helpful. The best rental experience I have had with Enterprise so far!

My husband, Chris M rented it from 2/11 a 2/15 at Enterprise in Goleta, CA.Our experience with Enterprise is 60-40z when we started in Phoenix the car was very good. This Volkswagen is okay.Do you think you could COMPLETELY clean the car first?!!! The front and back windows are so damn smeary! And there are fingerprints all over them! Disgusting! Seriously?! I recommended you look at windows before you drive away.

2020-11-12My recent car rental at enterprise was extremely disappointing. I walked into see if a 7 seat car was available for that Friday returning Saturday. Sure enough they had a van available. I got all the extra coverages and my final bill would be roughly $150. I was to return the car on Halloween day no later than 5:20pm. Upon the pick up of the car I told the lady helping me I would drop off at a different location in the next town. So on Halloween I drive over to that location and it’s closed. Drive to the initial location and it’s closed as well. I then drive over to an airport location that has a closing time of 6pm. I walk in at 5:30 and it’s also closed while the other car rental companies are all open. I look online and there is after hours returns but no information of where the drop box is located. I call customer service no answer. I come back home and once again call customer service. I finally talk to two different individuals which where not at all helpful. I then have to keep the car extra days because I was unavailable to return it because because of distance learing going on in my house. When I finally can return the car I explain everything to the man helping me and says yeah we have limited hours on Sundays which was NOT stated on my rental agreement. Ultimately I now have a $425 charge on my credit card which is ridiculous. While I did not expect for a full refund a partial refund would have been appreciated. All this mess and that’s not even mentioning that I hate being giving rental cars that do not have a full tank of gas.

2021-01-31They discriminate foreign drivers. I have rented cars on other Enterprise locations across California, Texas, Arizona, Nevada, etc; and I never had any issue renting a car. I presented my drivers license, and my passport, that’s it. Here they asked me to have a “California Voter’s card”, I asked how am I suppose to have a “California Voter’s card” if I’m not a California’s resident, and they just said there were not able to rent me a car. After reasoning with them, they told me that they would allow me to rent the car with an additional 100 USD fee for the location change. I went to a different Enterprise site the next day to confirm if this additional fee was normal, and they told me it’s not. They also confirmed that Enterprise doesn’t ask for any voter card. So, I guess they basically scammed me, just for being an international driver.

2020-08-18I had an amazing experience in this location with Amber and Demo. They were patient explaining the options to rent a car and also gave us a good advice to explore the best things to do in Santa Barbara. Because of them, we ended up having an amazing time on our trip and getting to know the best spots in Santa Barbara. We totally recommend this location. They are awesome! :)

2020-01-02Mid-December I reserved a car at this location in error (should have been at the airport). We were told it was against some kind of policy for anyone to pick us up at the airport for a transfer to the Goleta location. After taxing over to this location, a car was not available for us. We reserved a compact car and they tried to pass a huge SUV on us. We waited an hour for a car to be available. We were given a larger car than we wanted for a discount. The auto was washed but the interior was not touched. The 2-star rating for a decent car and nice staff at the office.
