Nice little spot for some reprieve from the summer heat. Our group of nine (adults and kids) reached the caves after a 25-30 minute slow mostly shaded not difficult hike from the Natural Bridges trailhead. At the fork, go right to reach the Coyote Creek. The cave was beautiful and water quite cold so bring a tube. Great place to go exploring.
Nice short tail for beginners like me. I went at 10 am and there was only 3 groups including us there. So it was nice not to worry about a crowded spot because it is narrow and short . When I went today, it was still a bit muddy and wet. So beware of the steps, they were a bit slippery. But man was it beautiful!
I highly recommend this for any adventure seeker. Its about a mile and a half down and back, but expect to explore more when you reach the bottom. Theres a cave with cleanest water to swim through. Wear shoes that are for hiking and swimming. Also, take food and water because youll be hungry after the hiking and swimming.
Really interesting cave to explore. The trail leads to the top of the cave which can give a nice view of the south side of the creek. I wish I had river shoes to walk through the cave, so if you want to do that you would have to bring some. There is a picnic table right by the cafe in case you bring a picnic basket with food. According to the sign, dogs arent allowed.

2022-04-10Nice little hidden gem π great place to spend the day and relax. Pack drinks and food in the cooler and enjoy the views Less then a mile walk from the parking lot. Bring an intertub, waterproof bag for your phone if you plan to cross though to the other side of the cave definitely worth getting wet.

2021-09-27This is a great place to take the family and enjoy the outdoors. Its a good 3/4 mile hike from the parking lot to the cave. The path is well traveled but there are some rocky parts in the trail were you could twist an ankle if youβre not careful. The cave itself is amazing. Bring swimming clothes and an inner tub so that you can travel up river through the cave and out the other side. You can swim through but the water is really cold and you may not make it with a floating device. Im sure as the water level changes so does the experience. The hike back up is no so challenging as much as it is about 8/9 percent grade for the most part and probably around 15 percent towards the top, expect a nice leg burn. Bring water and snacks but please pick up after yourselves. Bring light weight gear as you will also have to pack it out. Bathroom facilities are at the top before you go down. Definitely check it out, enjoy.

2021-09-25Amazing! Beautiful short nature trail that is kid friendly and not long at all. Iβm a bit saddened by little bit of graffiti. Itβs beautiful and unique and hope people can continue to maintain this natural little treasure. Canβt wait to go back!

2021-04-01Same place as natural bridges... short hike downhill leads to the Natural Bridge over the river. I wore the wrong shoes to go inside and the roof is kinda low on the front. Climbing over the top of the natural Bridge i feel like the easiest and safest way to the other side is going through the cave.

2021-03-16Free is always good to visit nature! Its a 20 to 25 min walk down. Its worth a one time visit for people out of town. It took me 45 min to walk back up. The cave is beautiful. There is a little waterfall inside the cave. It appears to go further but I wasnt willing to get that wet LOL. My friends and family had a great time there.

2020-07-09Great place for a mini hike with the kids!there are two trails make sure you take the one pointing to the left , Rocky and some steep areas so wear appropriate shoes. Its incline all the way back up and narrow at some points so make sure you keep an eye on your little ones. For a more moderate hike go down the trail passing the bathroom but not recommended for kids. You can float through the cave so bring a floaty.I didnt go through cave so not sure how deep water is or where the other sides ends. Beautiful place but lots of trash being left behind by people. Bring a trash bag with you if you plan on snacks. About an hour drive (from Stockton)

2018-09-12Beautiful cave. Natural wonder kept clean and well preserved. The shallow river runs right through the cave. Total freedom to walk, swim, touch, hang out and relax. Was not crowded the day I visited. Parking is free along side the small dead end road thats right off the main hwy.

2019-04-13Very fun hike. Lots of rocks on the trail though so it may hurt some feet. My mom and I had no trouble going up and down though. The way back up is a little more difficult because it can get pretty steep. The river at the bottom is gorgeous though, take the kids and let them play!
