I had a terrific experience at the Courtyard riverside. The staff is kind, friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself is clean and looks great. The people that clean the rooms do such amazing work. From beginning to end my experience there was great. I stayed there for over a month on business. Highly recommend.
My husband and i loved this hotel, most def. will come again. However my only issue and its not a big issue, the TV had a dark spot right in the middle of the screen which made it hard to watch comfortably. Employees are really nice and treat you like an actual guest and not like if your sketchy.
I surprised My Husband for his birthday with a get away and this was the location I choose. Although I couldnt get into the room earlier to set up the stuff still made it beautiful by adding wine to the room. The check in process was quick and easy. The only negative thing was that the next morning I walked out to see that my car had been side swiped and unfortunately there are no cameras outside. Other than that, it was a beautiful stay. Well definitely be back
Our check in was awesome by Adam or Andy. I just know his name started with an A. But his customer service was superb. The only thing I didn’t feel comfortable with was that the main lady in the bistro working the weekend we were there, didn’t wear a mask at all on our second day. She also took a personal phone call on her cell phone as well in front of us. Just thought it was unprofessional. Otherwise the rest of the staff was great.
Price $130 per night (during the pandemic)On a plus side right when I walked into the room, it felt very welcoming upon arrival with the lighting and TV on for the hotels programming. Reception went okay youll have to buzz to get in the doors in order to check in.The room was decently furnished layout was okay with the small table next to the couch. The work area had plenty of power plugs for laptops and chargers. TV was new and appropriate for the room size (Most hotels seem to overlook this necessary expenditure).Restroom and sink area seem to have missed the upgrade the rest of the room got. The sink and toilet along with bathtub and curtain seemed very out of place and antiquated.Staff: Nice enough and plenty on the first floorOutside: Pool/Jacuzzi/workout area bikes etc..near pool seem good if you can get there before the cigarette smokers arrive to lounge. Security Cameras in parking area I was told monitoredFood: If youre not some sort of premier club member; then you do not get breakfast which is a big negative being there is a pandemic going on and people are not staying at hotels I would highly suggest they feed their customers if you want to keep us coming back at that price point
For this to have been a Marriott property I am very disappointed. The hotel is in dire need of a renovation. As we had a flooding issue in the 3rd floor, one of my fellow coworkers got stuck in her bathroom, there are no stairway that will lead you to the 1st floor of the hotel they all lead you to the outside so you cannot bypass the elevator. On top of that the day we were checking in the hotel knew in advance that they were expecting about 39 new guest, they only had 2 people at the reception taking care of us. They had no place for us to store our luggage, so that we could come back when the lobby was less crowded. Throughout the stay however the staff was very pleasant and friendly always a good morning, good afternoon or goodnight. Especially Mario at the front desk, maintenance guys and security at night!
The Courtyard Marriott on University Drive is a 3-star hotel with a 5-star staff. Ive been to fancier hotels and havent been treated this well. The concierge were very helpful and made my month-long stay pleasant. Alejandro, Cristal, Emily, Leslie and Mario attended to my needs with urgency and respect. Guest services of this caliber are hard to find in the days of running lean.
This is the first time we have stayed in a hotel post covid. Covid seems to be an excuse to avoid all customer service. Unless you have to travel, youre probably happier staying home. Area around this particular Marriott is a little rough as well. Marriott could have done better by stocking the outdoor pool towels and since maids cannot enter your room, leaving fresh towels and toiletries in bags outside rooms or upon request. I noticed just a general lack of care and concern for guests with regard to this issue. Like dont bother us and if you do, well pass the towels over the front desk with our general annoyed attitude. I remember service. Service used to be great. Maybe one day it will return.
I absolutely loved my few nights stay here!!- The rooms are extremely clean and quiet, with beautifully modern and productive decor (Keurig machine, mini fridge, microwave, table and sofa on wheels, plugs everywhere, and strong quality wifi wherever you go).- Im a light sleeper, but with the sound isolation and pillow selection I slept amazingly every single night!- The staff is so curteous and helpful, no matter the hour of the day.- Theres always food/Starbucks/drinks available, and the Market Pantry is freshly stocked daily and open 24/7.- Location and views are great, its right next to UCR, theres always a ton of free parking for guests, and its right next-door from shops and restaurants.Thank you for the wonderful stay, I wish more hotels nowadays would share the same quality as this Courtyard - would definitely recommend and stay here again!
Hotel is convenient for moving kids in and out of UCR, as its close to the campus and has free parking. The rooms are furnished nicely and are comfortable, and provide plenty of outlets for recharging devices. Nice touches included having tissues next to elevators, for touching buttons. Service - both front desk and housekeeping - could be better, particularly with COVID concerns.
No room cleaning provided bc of covid BUT was not told this. Three different associates told us three different reasons why we had no room cleaning. In addition, every day of our stay we had to get our fresh towels etc. Would not have expected this for the price of our room. In addition, noise level from area traffic was more than expected.
Robert the Desk Clerk was not polite and his lack of customer service set the tone of our stay. The elevators need a total make over because they sound as if they are breaking and even after stopping still sound like they are moving. Once wrote got to the room our TV was not working and neither was our WiFi. Took awhile for someone to come up but the service guy who showed up was so nice and ended up giving us other rooms (we booked two).We stayed at multiple Marriotts along the way that were great but this one was our least favorite. In is centrally located for food though which was nice.
Staff was wonderful and the place was gorgeous and very kind. The only downside is that it took until after I finally checked out for the payment for the room to go through and instead of getting the deposit back, the payment for the room was processed, minus the deposit. Because I had thought the payment was already taken out and would be getting money back, my account is now hugely in the negative and I needed that deposit return to pay for other things. It would be 4.75 out of 5 except I cant do partial stars through google map reviews.
I loved my stay, the staff was very very courteous and helpful!! The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, pillows excellent best sleep Ive had in a hotel. The distance from places to eat and shopping was great. The pool was great, the hot tub was good. The customer service was very excellent and it was clean and very beautiful place to stay. I would like to thank the two girls who checked us in the were very helpful and I really appreciated everything the did to help us!!! I dont remember their names but thank u girls...
Cannot give stars for this Marriott. Though, the staff are very pleasing, the lobby and room smells. I travel for work and will never stay here again when coming back to Riverside. Location is not a place I would recommend going outside for fresh air, to include during the day. Just being honest here.
Me and a couple of my co-workers were scheduled for a three day work training here in Riverside. While our hotels were booked in advance by our department I have to say Im glad they booked us at this Courtyard by Marriott. After a three hour drive, late in the evening, we arrived tired and hungry. The ladies at the front desk were so friendly and helpful. Tiffany, in particular, was very nice and went above and beyond just checking us in. She took the time to talk with us and made us feel welcome. They gave us great recommendations on places in the area to grab some food and all the amenities the hotel had to offer. In addition, the overall hotel was clean and the rooms were very nice. They have a nice little area in the lobby with a couple computers and a printer available for use which I found to be helpful to complete my school work, while away from home. The location was ideal with a gas station near by, a grocery store, plenty of places to grab a bite and was located close to the freeway for easy access to other locations. Great service! I would definitely book a stay here again.
Excellent service when checking in. Hotel lobby and room were clean. The only complain I had was the A/C. I’m not too sure if it was set on auto; however, when the a/c would then turn off the room would get hot and I had to get up to turn it on happened several times through out the night. I’m thinking the a/c would need to be updated.
I’m not sure and feel really bad about not remembering exactly who attended me at the front desk. But I would like to first thank you for your assistance. You observed my government badge and asked why I had not said anything. I don’t ever tell anyone due to safety reasons, but you went out of your way to give me a better rate and thanked me for my service. In my field I don’t see or hear it much, but I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart and rest assured I will be staying with yiu again thanks to you !
Terribly noisy and they switched our room without telling us. The connecting room housed an unruly and very loud couple that was so loud until about 2am. Ruckus in the hallway also made for a terrible nights sleep. The bed was not nearly made when I checked in. The room was not what we booked yet nothing was mentioned about it.
I enjoyed my time at Courtyard and try to stay at Marriott strictly. I changed my choice in Moreno Valley due to the availability of a much larger room (480 square feet), a hot breakfast with meat, a bar that is serving in the hotel, and available staff to clean the room without asking. My choice currently for the area is Ayres.
The hotel has been an excellent place to stay for me these last four years. They have very clean comfortable rooms which has been so relaxing during each one of my stays. The staff is always nice and helpful with a smile on their face. The area is safe coming in and out the hotel any time of the night. The bistro had great food and prices. I am looking forward to more stays as my daughter continue out her studies in California.
I had a great stay last week at Courtyard by Marriott Riverside UCR/Moreno Valley Area. The guest room was clean and modern. I had a lot of needs and interacted with a very happy responsive hotel team. I stayed for a meeting and the meeting space was great as was the banquet team. The food and beverage offerings were exceptional. The hotel has a partnership with a full service gym close by. I love this amenity. This is my go to place in Riverside, CA.
I was treated with such disrespect . The shower was horrible with no water pressure and only scalding hot or freezing . The plug for the tub wouldnt function correctly not to mention the tub wasnt clean . The room had a very musty stail odor and was just all around not very clean. The staff were very impolite and not helpful at all. The air conditioner and heater did not work at all either . I asked to switch rooms and was told no with no explanation
I stay a lot with the Marriott chain. Wasn’t disappointed in the decor, cleanliness. Service is excellent. Check in was quick. Couch in the room was different but I found it extremely comfortable and great for watching TV. My only issue is the bedding and HVAC. Couldn’t keep the room at a consistent temperature which in turn the bedding wasn’t adequate. Over all though nice Hotel and would stay again
I’m an elite member and not special in any way but it allows me to check in early which I did yet after a long travel day , my room was not ready. They promised to text me when it was ready but after 2 hours with no text, I returned to find the room was ready. The next day we stayed in the room until 11 or so and housekeeping knocked. We asked them to come back and even told them when we left an hour later they could clean then. We came home and found the room not clean. We sent a message via the app saying it hadn’t been cleaned and got not response while we waited an hour for at least towels before going to dinner. I finally said I need at least towels delivered and that it was ok to deliver while I went to dinners and another hour later got a response to the towels but not cleaning the room. The towels were delivered but then we were left with an unclean room and no coffee in the morning. The initial check in person was friends and suggested a great place to eat the the bartender was very nice but the salad was brown and all other staff was unresponsive. I can’t recommend this hotel and with my son attending the University nearby, we expect to visit a lot but will be picking a different hotel.
This is a good, standard Courtyard (older property) and we had a pleasant overnight stay. The staff at the desk were wonderful, personable, positive people and our check-in included a restaurant recommendation that turned out to be delicious. (we asked for a suggestion and she gave us a GREAT one.) We had a quiet sleep there in a comfy bed when we were on the road to Palm Springs, couldnt have asked for more. The transitional neighborhood, near college campus, has a new Starbucks within 2 blocks and lots of restaurants, gas station and shops too.
My over all experience was great! The staff are all friendly and create a welcoming and comfortable environment for the guests. The hotel is clean and up to date with modern day expectations. The only thing I found myself displeased with was the area that it is in. It seems ghetto but it will do if you can overlook that. The gym does not have much equipment to offer but on a good note the pool is heated :). As for the food we did not dine in but I would definitely recommend the hotel if it is near your destination.
This hotel was a last minute reservation. The other hotels were booked, and my daughter was dancing in a competition at the Riverside Municipal Auditorium. I goggled hotels near Riverside and good ratings on the Courtyard Marriott. Then I realized it was so close to the Auditorium - I booked it.The rooms are amazing, very clean and so quiet. When my 13 year old daughter comments on how helpful & nice the staff is - believe it! A very nice stay at the Courtyard Marriott. If you can get the executive suite - you will love the room and how its set up.
Great accommodations, super clean rooms and awesome customer service from all departments from housekeeping, maintenance and guest services. Property is located within walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Great fitness room for a quick workout and also they have passes to a near gym within walking distance or short run. I was here for a meeting and the meeting accommodations were wonderful with great food!
We were in town to visit UC Riverside. This hotel is very convenient to the campus. Staff was extremely courteous and very friendly. They were ready to assist us each time we had a questions. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. This hotel met all of our expectations.
From beginning to end, this was a perfect place to stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Theroom was very nice with a perfect bed. I havent slept at a hotel with a bed that comfortable! Parkingwas easy and restaurants are within easy walking distance. I will stay here for sure next time Im in the area.
This hotel is great! My family and I really enjoyed staying there. The kids had a good time at the pool. The staff were very nice. I got the best night sleep ever. The beds make you want to go home and buy the same bed. Lots of pillow for those snuggle, between the knee lovers. I definitely recommend this hotel.
Not in the hotel for the full experience with environment, service and lobby. we were up and out by 8:30 am and did not return until after 5:00 pm. almost same schedule on the 2nd day and was flying back to east coast that evening.Clean, comfortable room is what you need after a long day and it was a positive experience. wish we had more time to utilize the property to provide more tangible feedback. but like I said, if my son decides to attend UC Riverside, ill be back with the family.
Stay here for a few nights recently. The room was lovely and comfortable. The staff were awesome and helpful. Plenty of parking and a wide selection of restaurants nearby. Noise levels is the reason for the low rating. My room faced the street and there was apparently a drag race every night that kept me awake until the early morning hours. As the hotel was full, no other option was available. After a few nights, I had to checkout early and go to a different hotel because of the noise.
Nice place to stay a couple nights. The staff was accommodating and very pleasant, the room was clean and everything was in good working condition. The cafe inside the hotel was clean and offered a wide selection of breakfast options that were very good. I will definitely come back the next time Im in the area. We didnt get a chance to use the pool, but it looked inviting.
This is the best hotel experience I’ve had in a long time. Everyone here is very friendly and happy to assist with whatever you need. The rooms are great, and the selection of food and beverages at the restaurant are incredible. If you’re in the Riverside area, this is where you want to stay.
This place is the best! Emily has taken care of everything weve asked for during our stay. Mark in the Bistro is an excellent host and always greets us by name and with a smile. And as we were going back to our rooms after an excellent meal, Alena, Monica, Tiffany, Eurasia, and Chanelle invited us to join them in creating decorative pumpkins for the Fall season. They were so friendly and entertaining. It was a great way to cap off the day. If youre ever in the Riverside area, this is the place you want to stay. Thank you to the entire staff for taking such good care of us. Ill never stay anywhere else when Im in the area.
Overall this is a pretty typical Courtyard. The bathroom area feels tired, and the sink is in the common area rather than in the bathroom. Lots of people like this, Im not a fan. Internet is solid. TV went out a couple times, but I suspect it uses satellite and there was a pretty good storm taking place. Front desk staff are very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Nothing particularly outstanding nor anything particularly negative. A solid, if not remarkable, property.
Customer service of all the staff here is really top notch. This is an older hotel, and while it has been renovated, there is still evidence of its age, from the elevators, to the bathrooms in the rooms, to the many layers of paint, and maintenance can only do so much. The furniture in the rooms has some interesting designs, and they look to be only a few years old, yet the laminate veneer is not holding up well at all. Some corner sections of the cabinets/drawers were totally destroyed, and since I saw this in multiple rooms, it seems to be an issue with the furniture itself rather than normal wear and tear. The bistro staff is excellent and very attentive for both breakfast and evening service, but it seems they had run out of several menu items in the evening during the week. My first room had a couple issues, including a non-working TV so I ended up moving rooms, and staff was very responsive to my issues and they did what they could to accommodate me. Proximity to the freeway was excellent and its located right between 2 freeways which can be helpful is one is congested. Very near to UCR for those that need it.
We stayed here to drop off our daughter to college. It was a convenient location. The rooms were clean an modern but the maids never came to make up the room the next day. We didnt say anything that night because we got back to the room around 8:00pm and didnt really want anybody in there. I was disappointed because the bottom sheet on the bed kept lifting up in the middle of the night. The sink was outside of the bathroom but small. Also the FREE HBO kept buffering the whole time we were watching the movie.
Very rude front desk. At least in my experience, the frontdesk woman did not accept me stating that i was sure i had booked the hotel with breakfast for 2 included. She wanted written evidence. I had to go through my files to identify the line that states free breakfast for two for her to honor it. I think some things can be stated more politely rather than attacking the customer with disbelief. I would not stay in this place due to bad service.Hotel room is also outdated, old pillows, old bathtub. I am fine to overlook those things but not bad treatment. So this place lost my future visits for sure.
Dont let the outside of this hotel scare you away. The inside is warm and inviting. The rooms are really comfortable and very nicely redecorated. The beds are comfortable and updated with crisp linens, not the terrible old bed spreads! The staff was very helpful and I checked out thinking, wow, that was one big surprise. I wonder if all Courtyards are as nice. I travel all the time for work and stay at all different hotels based on convenience of location. This is a great Courtyard!
The hotel was very nice. The bed was comfortable and the lobby area was gorgeous. If you get a room facing the mountains, the view is gorgeous as well. The front desk staff was polite and helpful. I love that theres a 24 hour Starbucks inside the lobby. I did not like that the girl at the front desk told me there was complimentary breakfast and supper, when there was no such thing. The food in the bistro was outrageously priced for whatever reason, so I just walked across the street to Dennys to get breakfast. Theres also an iHop within walking distance, so it didnt make sense to me that they would charge for breakfast. I also work in network security, so I am particular about my things. The maid entered and cleaned my room while I was gone, and removed the do not disturb sign from my door. That is something that will prevent me from staying in this location ever again. The housekeeper moved all of my things and didnt even do a good job cleaning.
The room seemed clean and comfortable at first glance, but there was an awful raw sewer smell in the bathroom all the time. And by awful I mean really need a nose clip awful. The kind you sometimes smell near city sewers. I avoided using the bathroom and since I was there just for the night, I didnt complain. I also paid for breakfast included. I expected a buffet as is usually the case. Voila! No buffet, just a breakfast bar. That too manned by a rude woman. Everything I asked for from the menu was either out or would take 30/35 minutes which I did not have. Even pancakes she said would take that long. She seemed annoyed that I was asking for breakfast. Overall a terrible experience.
Giving a bad review because I had to cancel important plans because there was no water at all the whole day and thats unacceptable regardless if it was unexpected for the hotel staff. Also didnt get any notification until the same day. The manager is always unreachable, busy, dosent return calls. Room stay was excellent until this happened but I lost a days worth of plans which I cant get back. And they dont offer any compensation to their guests for it. Unacceptable. I never had this problem in any other hotel.
After the last place i stayed at an alley would be better, but this place is very nice, lots of amenities, treat me like Im gold and a long time customer. If Im ever looking for a place to stay for the weekend or would like to recommend a place to someone. This will be my suggestion. Love it
Always an amazing stay! Rooms are clean, nice mounted flat tv, I love their menu. I did have a problem with the shower once the faucet popped off and maintenance worked very quick to fix the problem. Great location, a lot to eat around the area and the night life is right down the street.
I was here one night for business. When I arrived at 12:30-1:00pm my room was not ready. I left to have something to eat and when I came back at around 2:45, the room was still not ready so the girls at the front desk ended up giving me another room. My room did have quite a bit of dust, but again I have a feeling it was from the renovations. The room I did stay in had been recently renovated, and did look very nice!!! I had a great night sleep in the bed!!!! Many of the parking spots were blocked due to renovations to the building. So I had to park in the back of the hotel and carry my luggage to the front of the building.
Short business trip. Check-in was fast and friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable with probably the most comfortable hotel bed that Ive experience in my last 10 or 12 business trips. The in-house restaurant was convenient - supper was good, but the breakfast was excellent!. Check-out was very easy and fast as well. The hotel is very convenient to downtown Riverside and UCR. Ill be back the next time I need to stay overnight in Riverside.
Great housekeeping service; there when you needed them and always willing to help. Dining was a relaxed environment with TV lounge by bar and dinner tables on other side of bar. Host offered ample different types of adult drinks and beverages. Also what they recommended for dinner was a great selection. Check in and out was a snap!
Had a very enjoyable stay. Delores & Eurasia were 2 of many staff that I interacted with. I really had fun visiting with them. The big disappointment with my stay, was the price of the food at the Bistro. I made the mistake of purchasing a fruit bowl, it looked very nice, but was shocked to discover that the apples had some preservative that I could taste over the taste of the apples, the grapes were rock hard, the oranges had no flavor what so ever. However, I queried other people who said the rest of the food there was excellent, just expensive. The staff were fabulous, the room very nice. I would stay there again!
The Manager wouldnt let me cancel my reservation after I stayed for just over 12 hours. Even asked her to charge me for 2 nights and give me credit for 2, but she threw the policy book at me. Didnt look like she cared for customers, and was passively aggressive. The staff was willing to give the credit, but the manager stepped in to make sure that I wouldnt get it. Incredible Manager!
The beds were comfortable, rooms clean and towels plentiful The food was tasty and reasonably priced. The staff was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Parking was plentiful and free. The location was great. Trips to the pool took only 10-15 minutes. There was easy access to the freeway. The price was right, especially for California with this great location. We enjoyed our stay
Had a better experience here but still had some issues. room was clean and comfortable. No Water issues once again on 2 days and no hot water on some day. Alot of noise during the day sometimes on what was supposed to be a quiet room. The Hotel rates are really too expensive for all of these issues to be happening more than 1 stay. they need to improve or lower the rates or else Im taking my business to another hotel.
I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for 2 nights. I enjoyed the king suite. Its got a comfy couch, large desk work space, fridge & microwave. The vanity is seprate from the toilet/shower. The bed waa very comfortable! Slightly soft, so comfy! Pillows were great! Price was excellent! Next time Im in town again, I will definitely stay here.
The hotel and grounds are nice and clean. Staff was courteous. Overall, I enjoyed our stay. Only complaints are we didnt get the room type I reserved, due to overbooking. Not happy about that. And the rate was expensive for a basic Courtyard room in Riverside. If my whole soccer team wasnt staying there, I definitely wouldve shopped around.
Rooms were clean. Hotel had one broken elevator entire time I stayed there, at some point both broke and I had to take rear stairwell which goes directly outside; had to walk around building to get to lobby. No complimentary breakfast and room service offering was limited. Staff was pleasant. Homeless people and constant police presense in parking lot was a bit unnerving.
The Courtyard by Marriott was adequate for our stay but not exceptional. The Bistro Cafe is not what it seems: it is a walk up counter with some seating and the food selection is limited and pricey. For some reason, the hotel decided to install a showerhead that looks like it would be adjustable, but isnt. The head can be set to a useless stream or a spray but the angle cannot be adjusted, so we had to stand at the back of the shower to keep the water from pummeling us in the face. The Kurig makes just average to poor coffee and teas. It was nice to have a small cooler and microwave, but the room felt cramped with a love seat, king size bed, flat screen, work desk, floor lamp, and very small side tables by the bed that were barely large enough to place a few personal items. We had a CPAP device that barely fit which mean that we had to put the box of tissues into the drawer to make room. The wall heating/AC units are so passe now. This one was noisy and kept coming on because the room we had was on the sixth floor (top floor) and those rooms seem to stay hot. Weve stayed in rooms with regular heating and AC, with thermostats on the wall and the heating/AC comfortable and quiet. Not the worst experience, but far and away not a wonderful experience.
The building as a whole is very nice and as soon as you walk in, theres an employee who greets you. I was there for a business meeting so I didnt have much communication with them, but they seemed very friendly and pointed me in the right direction. There werent many people in there so the lobby felt very morbid and it was slightly chilly in there but other than that, it was a very nice experience. If I had to stay in a hotel for any reason, I would definitely consider the Country Marriott or any Marriott for that matter.
Stayed up on the 6th floor. Room was fine. They do have made to order breakfast in the morning (and Starbucks coffee). Breakfast items a bit on the pricey side. Folks were waiting quite awhile for their food orders. Breakfast area is kinda small. So not sure what it would be like if they were busy. Minus a Star for losing track of my breakfast order.
Very little to complain about here. Really the only issue Ive run into was the elevator was not running properly my first night, but they had it fixed within hours. My room is clean and neat, with plenty of space. I wish breakfast was included, but the bar are grill downstairs seemed to have a nice selection.
We typically stay in 3-5 star hotels, but we didnt want to spend too much on this trip. We used points and were so impressed with this hotel. They must have recently remodeled and the lobby & rooms were nicely decorated, very clean rooms and comfortable beds, & even had a decent fitness room. Our only complaint was that the walls must be thin, since we could hear noises from other rooms and people in the halls. This hotel is conveniently located to UC Riverside and a nice shopping/theatre/dining area!
Very friendly staff. Check in was easy. The business center had plenty of paper in the printer. The room was clean, and had some interesting design features. The reason I didnt give them 5 stars was the three door mesh that exists around the entry door, the bathroom, and the closet. This I would almost consider a safety concern. If the bathroom door is open. It covers the entire entry door. In the middle of the night, in the dark, I would be able to tell which door is which. I might not realize that I have to open, or in this case, close one door to open the other. From a practice standpoint the main door auto close bar at the top of the door blocks the left side closet door. So if you want to get the iron, you have to reach through the right side to get it. If you want to hang up clothes the ironing board is on the right side and blocks the bar. Someone did not think about this.
From start to finish the staff here is exceptionally pleasant and service oriented. I value their ability to engage us in conversation and their genuine interest in why we were there. It is rare that you find this in this day in age. Start to finish they were all great folks. They never ceased to amaze us. We interacted with all departments, except the pool staff if there is one, so my broad brush praise is not general by any means. When you meet welcoming people, at all levels and hours, like this while travelling the experience is only positively enhanced. For those of you needing to hear something negative, I did not like the pillows. That however is not so major an item when all else was great.
My kids and I stayed here for multiple nights & I would stayed here again anytime.Chanelle & Livana at the front desk are just AMAZING. They are so kind and friendly, they were so happy to help us with anything we needed big or small. They were so personable & made me and my kids feel so comfortable during our stay.We went to the Bistro multiple times. The food that Angel cooked was always delicious. Marissa, Kat, Brent & Monica always greeted us with a smile and so friendly. The service they provided was top notch They were so kind to my kids and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and wanted.Edith R. always made sure our room was clean, if we decided to skip her cleaning the room she was always friendly to let us swap out towels or make sure we had whatever we needed for the room.I would give this hotel 5 stars any day!!!
Some of the front desk staff were professional and very good. The front desk supervisor was downright hostile. The knowledge of the front desk staff varied greatly, which is not surprising due to lack of leadership by their supervisor. I stayed for nearly a week and was never given shampoo, NEVER. Not even the day I checked-in. I had to ring the front desk EVERY day for more shampoo, youd think theyd get the hint, but it was never fixed. The renovated rooms were very nice and the bed was comfortable.
Upon arrival the hotel staff was very welcoming and check-in was very efficient. We only stayed 2 nights as we were visiting family in Riverside and going to the Joshua National Park. Anyway we enjoyed having Starbucks inside for a quick morning coffee and scone. My husband had a beer one afternoon. They do have a breakfast menu but we didn’t try it. Anyway the room was nice, clean and comfortable.
I was attending a convention in Norco so stayed here for 3 nights. Room was spacious with a refrigerator and comfy bed. There was an adjoining room next door and the first night I could hear the occupants talking, but they quieted down by 10pm and I actually never heard them again during my stay. A couple of the other rooms my friends were staying in had stained toilets, and one rooms bathtub was not clean enough, but my room was fine. So I would stay here again and if I got a room with a stained toilet or issues with the bathroom, I would request to be moved.
This Courtyard is centrally located, nearby to popular restaurants and freeway connections. I traveled here on a business trip and was made very comfortable. The staff at the front desk, especially Tiffany, was MORE than helpful, very cheerful and professional! Thanks Courtyard / Marriott. If given the choice of hotels in the area, I would highly recommend this one!
Weve stayed at Couryards many times. Wont be staying at this particular one again. I do NOT like snarky phone messages about conserving water and low flow toilets (if the bowl wont clear after 4 or 5 flushes - why bother with low-flos?) and dont I want to save water? Sorry, but not everybody lives in Southern California. I conserve, but I also have a plunger and toilets that flush and bowls that clear in my home. I also dont have to listen to the sink drain clear itself all the time. When you are living in a hotel room for 3 days and 3 nights, you want to be comfortable and have things work and not have to keep reporting to the desk, where on some shifts, customer service seemed to lack a little. The couch/settee was a little too modern and not comfortable nor conducive for relaxing. The footstool thingy almost upended my husband when he was putting on his boots. At least our room was convenient and easy to get to and the bed comfortable. However, there are other places (including another Mariott) to stay. We wont be coming back to this one.
Other than one clerk at the front desk who was a little less than friendly and was preoccupied by something that was occurring behind the scenes (staffing or some other issue) everyone else was very nice. A little hectic getting a bag and go breakfast in the morning because we had to be out Of the hotel by 6am. Hotel was clean, bedding comfortable and room temp was good. Bathroom vanity was small and cramped for a family to use but everything else was great.
Late one afternoon, my son and I found ourselves unexpectedly needing a place to stay that night. The reservation was made by phone very easily. The hotel was very pleasant and so was the staff. We enjoyed the evening there. It would be nice if a continental breakfast were included with the room rate.
Great experience. Well priced, great rooms, and wonderful service. I arrived late and the lady at the desk was able to accommodate me and show me a great place nearby to eat. I managed to get breakfast before it officially started as people were there ready to go. Id definitely stay again
Had refreshing water at the front desk, rooms are clean and has air conditioned in the riverside heat. Lobby was not the coolest though. Quick check in, show ID and Card they give room key. Was given 2 keys one worked other had to get replaced. There is a pool but did not try swimming
It was a busy weekend. However Ive been staying at the property quite frequently the last 2 years when I vist my daughter attending UCR. 2 years ago the remodel was fresh and the property pristine. Its beginning to look old and worn the carpets and bathrooms. I cant say it will remain my number one choice when in the area. There was also a price increase. All in all not bad. Also wanted to say the staff is always kind and expedient.
Ive traveled to Riverside before and stayed at hotels that were recommended. One was highly recommended by coworkers. I was not impressed. I decided to book this stay myself and now I know where to stay again when Im in the area. I was impressed by the updated look. My king size bedroom had plenty of room. Loved the style of the couch, the microwave and mini ref, the laminated floor on the outside sink area and closet. The white bed covers is always a plus. Slept very comfortably. The temperature and fresh smell of the room was also a plus. Great hospitality of the employees-lobby, maintenance, and cafe.
The hotel is impeccably clean, the staff friendly and courteous. The water in the pool was ice cold, however. My daughters refused to even get in and spent the weekend in the hotel room. We were here in June, and it wasnt heated then either, but the days and nights were warm so the water was chilly but swimable. The nights are in the 50s now, and the water definitely felt it. Great hotel if you dont intend to swim!
The staff were super helpful. My AC was broken on the first night. I reported it to the desk the following morning; Hector C replaced the controller which fixed the problem - I commend him for exceptional service, could easily have palmed it off. He was really nice throughout our interaction. Delighted to have had a great sleep the following night.
Had great stay at the hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Comfortable rooms and well maintained. Nice Bistro in the lobby area. Love their avacado toast. Had it both mornigns that I stayed there. Attended a meeting at the hotel. Internet was easy and no issues. Flew into Ontario ariport and hotel suggested taking Lyft as it was cheaper to get to hotel. Would stay here again.
Excellent property that has been recently renovated and perfectly located. Best of all, the staff is exceptional. A special word of thanks to Mark and Alena at the Bistro for their superb guest service. They made me feel so appreciated. I come to the area a lot for business and I will always stay here.
This is a very nice hotel. The room was well appointed, clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Pricing was reasonable for the quality of the accommodations. The only negative was the parking lot was roped off for resurfacing which greatly limited parking. Also, in the 2 nights we were there, no resurfacing was accomplished.
This hotel is in a good location and the rooms are fairly clean and decent looking. Some niceties are missing like no slippers and no one to bring toothbrushes and toothpaste to the rooms. The toilets and bathtub/shower head could use some updates as they dont feel very modern and dont match the rest of the room much. Also the walls and doors dont block out sound very well. We could hear neighboors and people in the hallways very clearly.
The staff is always polite. I really appreciate the refrigerator and microwave. The mattress is comfortable and does not give me a back ache as many do when I stay in hotels. One thing I suggest is a fan in the bathroom and warming lights. There is kind of a bleach smell that is probably due to extensive sterilization. I don’t know if that can be changed but I guess I’d rather have the smell over the health risks.
This is one of worst hotel I have ever stay in, very disappointed with Courtyard by Marriott...When arrived at check in, she assumed that I will be staying with my coworker; did not bother to ask if I am getting a room for myself. When got to my room, noticed the sink was not draining. Instead of move me to another room, they told me they will send maintenance guy to take a look. Left for dinner, assumed they were able to resolve the issue.Getting ready to settle in for the night, noticed the sink is still not draining, stain on toilet seat, and later found out my king size bed was sinking.Initially when I booked the hotel, it supposed to come with breakfast. When I arrived at their Bristol, tried to order some coffee and the cashier was too busy playing with his phone; found out I have to pay for my free breakfast.they told me it was not included. So as I was tryNext morning told the manager on duty, she told me that she will put me in another room. Just told her go ahead and move my stuff to the new room. When got back from my meeting, my luggage was still in my room. Went downstairs and have a voice my concern, she told me that she can put me in a small room (really down grade with no apologies).Ended up stay in the same room with non working sink, sinking bed, and dirty hotel room, because they are fully occupied now.At check out, both front desk ladies did not even greed me and just told me to leave the key at the counter.Based on the experience I have, I will never book a hotel associated with Marriott.
The hotel is as lovely as most Marriotts, but the housekeeping is terrible and its the managers fault. Either they are not training them fully on room cleanliness, or the more likely scenario, they are severely understaffed. This causes two problems. 1. The rooms dont get properly cleaned because they dont have the time to spend on each room as they should because they have more to do per housekeeper than the average hotel. 2. They may not get to you room to clean it until after 5pm. Twice during my 2.5 weeks there, housekeeping didnt show up until 4:30ish to clean my room. I complained once and was told they have more rooms to clean so that is just the way it is. They told me theyd have my room cleaned in the morning, but this obviously failed to reach housekeeping. After a long hard day of work, I want to go take a shower and relax. Not continue to wait until they show up to clean my room, which one has to do. Otherwise l, if youre in the shower when they show up, they leave and dont come back until the next day. All so a manager can come in way under budget and get a bigger bonus. Only at the expense of the guests though so I guess that doesnt matter.
Cleaning Staff is professional and courteous. The rooms are fair. The front desk staff is hit and miss, like a box of chocolates never know what you gonna get. Unfortunately my view is a dirty pool through a filthy window. I have stayed here before when accomodations were 5 Star.
My recent stay at Courtyard Riverside Downtown/UCR Area was comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel staff was courteous and friendly. There was some problem communicating with non-English speaking staff. The breakfast included in the room package wad not sufficient and menu needed to be improved. The piece of land in front of the hotel did not give a good view and an appealing impression.
Great location! The staff and property are very nice. They go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The rooms are very large and quiet. Free bikes and the wine hour are pluses. You are close to the cable cars making getting around to all the other spots easy. I would recommended this property to anyone coming to San Fran. It was a 5 star in all areas!
I met the most helpful staff during my stay. Dolores stands out as a professional who knows her craft and I’d there to meet the needs of the guest. She made me feel welcome and I felt I was treated respectfully and more, I felt special. We had small talk and she displayed her beautiful and caring personality, she was a pleasure to meet. I came back at the end of the day of departure to pick up my phone cord. They found a phone cord I didn’t even kne I lost until I examined it closely. I am grateful I feel thankful to all for their care. Last, I appreciated the gentleman who helped me out deject a few dinner items, he was a very solicitous attendant and tried to satisfy my tastes, I am very grateful to him as well (Brett?). Thank you! See you soon!
Clean nice property with a very friendly staff. A special thank you to the ladies in the Bistro; Marissa, Angel, Maria and Chef Monica. Food is the absolute best Courtyard Bistro meal Ive ever enjoyed. They were all smiles and eager to help us with excellent customer service. Thank you !
All the staff is very friendly and helpful. The pillow cases smelt kinda off. And the thermostat is a knob so there is no way to set a certain temperature. The fitness center is very small and they were out of cups at 8:00 am in the morning. Other than those things its been good.
We stayed here for a soccer tournament. The clerk at the front desk was overwhelmed at check in as she had no assistance. That night, the woman working at the Bistro actually discouraged people from buying food there as it was understaffed as well. Things were fine until the following morning when we tried to get breakfast at the bistro. The people behind the counter were rude and didn’t seem to want to be there. When our food hadn’t arrived 30 minutes later, we asked about it and were told they never printed our ticket. They offered absolutely nothing to make up for what was ultimately a 45 minute wait for food. We had an issue with some of the other teams running around and banging on doors late. The woman at the front desk decided to yell at our children even though they had been in one room watching a movie and not out and about before heading down for dinner. Overall incredibly disappointing.
Good hotel brand with consistent Marriott premier service and Amenities. 4/5 stars due to hotel upper management (Im guessing) neglecting during our 14 day stay. They were lack of good functioning a/c in lobby, the only place 3 of us could play cards due to small room and jacuzzi temperature did not function. Texas
The Courtyard Riverside UCR/Moreno Valley Area is a very nice, clean and a cozy hotel. The hotel is centrally located for shopping, restaurants and entertainment. The staff (front desk and housekeeping team) were amazing and personable. The Bistro employees (Trish, Letty and Kat) were awesome. During my stay, I dined in for breakfast and the team always made my dining experience very pleasant. The food was really good and the service was always fast, friendly and served with a smile.
The ventilation of the building was very poor. As soon as I opened the door of the room, I could feel/smell the stale air inside. This didnt get any better throughout the week. The exhaust fan in the restroom was working. The building is in dire need of fresh air. Staff and service personnel was nice and helpful.
You will absolutely love your time at this Courtyard. The rooms are clean and the bed is very comfortable, the staff is incredibly friendly and they provide everything and anything you could possibly need! I was travelling alone for business on this trip and I felt very safe at this hotel which very important for me. This will hotel will be where I stay in everytime I visit UC Riverside.
Had to be at UCR for work week, needed a place to stay close by. My mom had points and booked at this hotel. Super convenient and was very happy. Check in online made it simple to get into my room quickly. In addition, they texted me when my room was ready! King size bed with feathered pillows, great size room and sitting area. I had work to do and the complimentary wi-if was great.
When my wife and I arrived, it was complete chaos in the Lobby. Apparently, there was a soccer tournament for 11-12-year old’s going on locally and they were all staying at the hotel. Exactly, what my wife and I were trying to escape from our own tribe of 4. We were passing through this area on our way to Palm Springs for a week at the Westin Resorts. It was late when we got in from a day of driving. We were hungry and tired.Anyhow as we walked up to the desk here is this enthusiastic receptionist. She new exactly what we needed. She checked us in to a room that she said would be the quieter and away from all the action. We asked her for a place to eat at away from the Hotel, and she provided us with a PRINTED DIRECTIONS to an excellent place that provided wonderful Margarites which is what we were looking for. When we came back it was late and she was still working and asked us how the meal was, and we thanked her with great. As we were going up there was another receptionist heading up to the upper floors to sweep for ankle bitters running the floor and maintain order. Another refreshing note. This is the part that hit me. The next morning my wife and I were up early, and I went down to the desk just to get a printed receipt which I normally don’t always do. As a Gold Member I just exit and head out and get mine emailed to me. Here she is the same one that checked us in. Livana is her name. That is when I made a note to get to know her. WE spent 10 minutes talking. A College Graduate from University of Illinois in Design. Bright, Still Cheerful and Happy to see me with a Smile probably after very little sleep. What a hard-working person who is out to genuinely help people. WE need more People in this World Like that today. Thank You Livana your Parents should be very proud of You!!
The hotel appears to have been remodeled recently. It was very clean and comfortable. The only issue I had and it really wasnt an issue because staff took care of my request immediately was the first room I was assigned. It was on the 3rd floor and was the closest to University Avenue. Outside noise was very annoying. I stayed at the hotel for 12 nights and after the 2nd night I requested a room change to a quieter area. The put me on the 6th floor away from University Avenue and the stay was great after that.
Staff were great. They were accommodating, friendly and professional. Hotel is down the street from UCR so there a lot of fast food to mid range dining options close by, but none within walking distance that I saw. The small Bistro in the hotel offered a variety of food that was cooked to order, looked clean and the staff was great.
I travel a lot and rarely write a review, but I decided to write one for this Courtyard Riverside by Marriott because it is by far the best one Ive stayed in the past years. I pick where to stay based on the location (close to UCR and close to good restaurants), the interior of the room (clean and newer furniture), and my budget. This courtyard has everything Im looking for. Its a short walk to UCR. We ran into visiting professors and young professionals staying there for a meeting. The courtyard is recently remodeled with new furniture, upgraded bathroom with modern looking wall papers, and everything looks so stylish and clean. The staff is amazing, extremely helpful and friendly. When we asked for rooms far away from the elevator, no connective rooms and all 3 rooms on the same floor, the staff was attentive and gave us what we wanted right away. It also has a Starbucks on the 1st floor where you could order hot breakfast. Everything is spot on and perfect. I would recommend everyone whos visiting UCR or staying in the city to look no more. Stay here! Highly recommended!
Stayed here for AYSO SOCCER tourney for long weekend. Enough parking and is complimentary. Hotel is clean and staff is friendly. Pleasantly surprised by the Starbucks/Bistro in lobby. Compliments to the Chef as the food was really good! Had the egg white frittata and it was oh so good! Breakfast scramble was hearty and kids ate EVERYTHING. We travel and eat at hotels fairly often and it is a hit or miss on the food. This chef and his food were spot on. They opened at 6 which was another plus because we had to be at field by 7. They also have grab n go where you can call down and order, pick up on your way out. Will stay here again. They also have a laundry room and sell detergent at front desk which was awesome for cleaning uniforms for whole weekend.
The staff was so friendly and the check in was lightning fast. Breakfast should offer more choices but was good for my visit. The property is in a perfect spot with easy access to interstate. Plenty of eating places within walking distance and it seems to be a nice neighborhood. When I go there again I will definitely try to stay at Courtyard.
We got there way befor check in (930am) they let us hang around the pool (we would of but it was raining )and in the large lobby. Lots of places to charge phones in lobby and in rooms.lots of places to sit in lobby as well. Check in is at 3pm but they had us in a room by 1pm. Room is Good sized, very nice and clean. Pillows and bed are wonderful. The negative... I picked this hotel over the Hilton that had a better rating with same price because The room I booked said free breakfast, they gave us one free breakfast there are 3 of us. I looked at the food area, Just under $5 for a bowl of cereal. You can get that free at most 2star hotels.all the food was over priced. Ill admit i am more of a Dutch brothers coffee fan but even for Starbucks the Carmel machiato was not well made :/ i was disappointed. We travel for work almost weekly And alternate bringing one of our teens with us , when we have a layover we like to stay in better then a 2star hotel and the free breakfast usually makes it so we spend the same as a 2star And going out to breakfast.
1 night stay at the Courtyard Riverside. Was in a King room and it was really nice. Room seems to have been remodeled recently. Mini frig, microwave, K Cup maker; very nice touch. Clean and comfortable. Checked in late after flying into John Wayne. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Received a welcome gift or Starbucks coffee in the morning; as well as checkin bonus points. Hotel has Platnium parking near entrance; 1st time Ive seen this at a Marriott. Overall good stay. Only reason its 4 rather than 5 stars; I was only at the hotel barley 9 hrs. So didnt get to experience enough to rate 5 stars. But would defiantly stay again.
My stay at Courtyard Marriott UCR/Riverside was excellent. Staff was friendly and professional. The appearance of the hotel was wonderful. Love the layout and décor. Only complaint I may have is the parking and lighting of the parking lot, but I understand construction was going on and trailers took up most of the parking. Brighter lights need to installed to brighten the lot.
Courtyard Riverside has become my home away from home, the staff is friendly, courteous and always aims to please, whether it be maintenance, checkin, security, everyone is always cheery and upbeat.Special thanks to Tiffany who always does her best to make sure my room requests are met and always checks to make sure Im getting the best rate for my stay, always follows up to make sure that my stay is a positive one, and thanks to her it always is! Its no surprise this hotel is always sold out. I will ALWAYS book this hotel when Im in town!
We were greeted with a friendly and helpful check in. Although the hotel was undergoing an upgrade, we did NOT find it noisy nor disruptive. I recommend joining the members club. It is hassle free unlike other hotels I tried to sign up for and the points mount up faster than you would think when you first look at it.
The room is modern chic, with comfortable beds. Though, the rooms dont include water, drinking glasses, and the maid service didnt replace any of the stock items. Even if water was for purchase, Id rather buy it in the room than having to drive to the store to buy water.
When I called, the lady was very rude and unprofessional. She didnt answer my question and was very short with me and rude. When I went into the hotel, (Im assuming it was the same lady), her name was Jackie, she gave me an awful look and wasnt accommodating and was even more rude in person, I will not ever book a room there again. I domt know if she was having a bad day or needs anger management classes.
Rooms are very clean and modern looking, very close proximity to to the University and a number of very tasty food options. Staff has been very friendly and helpful. The only thing I would like is a Continental breakfast, however the hotel does provide pretty ample pay options for food.
The fact this place has a secured lobby is nice... the “motel” next door is questionable... wish they had a wall to separate the propeties. Overall, well lit parking lot and friendly staff. Nice room with mini fridge and microwave. Will likely stay here again if ever in this side of town.
This hotel reeked smell throughout the building (corridors, halls, elevators, slightly less in the room). It really needs remodeling to get rid of the smell reminiscent of smoke-filled era. The amenities also need re-modeling as the outdoor pool was getting sunlights (strong sunlights of southern CA) throughout the day, which prevents the hotel customers from using it. No sauna nor steam room..... Fitness center needs a little more than just putting equipment in a room. The free water provided at the lobby smelled badly too.... The only bright experience was the staff who seemed to handle any issues pretty fast and efficiently.
Other than the maintenance guy sawing and hammering at 8:00 sunday morning and the slow drain in the sink and having to fluch the toilet multiple times to get the paper to go down it was good. The restaurant food is average. Breakfast eggs that are egg beaters or something similar arent very good and a little gross. Overall the stay was fine. Everyone was nice except the older black haired lady Monday night. She was kind of cranky.
Overall I like the Marriott. The last two visits in January 2016 was for my moms funeral and my brother in laws funeral. This visit was because my sister is in Community in ICU with pneumonia. This was not for a vacation and I was a little aggravated because my rooms are always great at this Hotel that is why I always stay here. This visit the room was just not up to par or as nice as the rooms I have stayed in before. The bed was not comfortable.
I must say that the staff at the Courtyard Marriott was very professional. They went the extra mile for my satisfaction great staff. Tiffany at the front desk went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, I always saw her with a smile on her face. Thank you Tiffany.
I stayed at the Marriott to visit UC Riverside. Its location was quite convenient. In addition, the rooms were quiet. The beds were very comfortable. The facilities available were nice. The decor of the rooms and lobby were amazing. In addition, I loved the lemon and strawberry water offered in the lobby.
Room is pretty nice, but the plumbing was not properly installed and whenever the neighboring rooms use the sink or toilet, the toilet bubbles up and the sink makes noises because the venting pipes werent installed right so it sounds like the pipes are dripping/burping all night. My room was 109. As nice as the rest of the room is, that toilet noise is disgusting. I had to keep the fan on full blast to drown out the sound the whole time I stayed in order to get any sleep. No complementary breakfast of any kind. Parking lot is very screwy with a maze of one ways. Lots of cars backed up during busy times.
Stayed at your property for two night for business meetings at UCR. Having traveled all morning I arrived fairly early. Most hotels have check in in the afternoon so I feared I would be sitting in my car for a couple of hours. When I requested if I could check in early a very friendly front desk staff member named Renee made it happen. No sitting in the unopened bar watching CNN. No I was in a room that was very nice and pre environmentally controlled at about 65 degrees. Anyways I could go on but the other highlight of my stay were two very lovely ladies at the bar/restaurant. (Monday 20th March) Its not often that the bartender would actually make a pizza, salad or sandwich at the same time making drinks (serious multi tasking) they were incredibly friendly and accommodating in recommending local restaurants in the area. Had a choice between the Cask n Cleaver or the Salted Pig which according to my wife who wasnt traveling asked if they were strip clubs!! I wished I had gotten the bar teams names because they are gems to you operation!Fun times!!
I recently stayed at the Courtyard Riverside UCR/Moreno Valley Area while attending a convention. My flight was delayed so I arrived very late in the evening and was very tired and hungry. The front office clerk was friendly and professional sharing that the Bistro was still open for drinks and dinner or I could choose items from the front desk shop. My room was very clean and I liked the style of the decor.
Overall, a reasonably- priced place to stay in the Riverside area.Fri- Sat night stay; hotel clean, staff friendly and helpful.King- bed room was large, clean, usual furniture (sofa/ chair/ etc.) In-room refrigerator was a nice touch but rattled. In-wall Hvac was ok- cooled room but was noisy (not unusually loud but noticeable). Bathroom has been moderately updated.Location- not an upscale area- a lot of corner- action going on after dark. However, hotel itself felt secure and was a 5- 10 minute drive to more trendy areas of Riverside.
I stayed with family at the hotel recently and would definitely stay there again. Im normally more partial to the Renaissance hotels, but I enjoyed my stay at the updated Courtyard. Great location. Great staff, just a great hotel overall. It was near lots of restaurants and bars. Lots of things within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.
I stayed here with my son who will begin a PhD program at UCR in the fall. There is no better location for getting to know the UCR area. This is an extremely well priced hotel that is clean and welcoming. A small café in the lobby area makes grabbing a quick breakfast or dinner possible and there are many walkable places for lunch if you choose to stay in the area. Rooms are comfortable, beds are great, but the most outstanding quality is the staff. Every staff member we met during our four night stay was friendly, polite and eager to help with driving directions or restaurant suggestions. Overall a great experience.
Things have gone down at this hotel. The staff is awesome and helpful, but the rooms are getting old. Carpets are getting old. Also parking has started to be an issue. They have conference rooms and in the evenings it is tough to get parking spots for.overnight guest. Location is still tough to beat though.
Our suite at this hotel was large and roomy with all the amenities. The only suggestion is to ask for a room away from University Ave as the noise from the traffic was very noticeable prompting us to wish we had brought our earplugs. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.
I actually ended up at this location because the Marriott at Convention Center did not have any available rooms after my one-night stay there. I ended up driving all the way home (to Chula Vista, Ca. 3 hours in traffic) but then looked online and found this location near UCR! This was an excellent experience! The lobby, Café, room, and Fitness Center were all clean, contemporary, and pleasant. The staff was accommodating and friendly. This location was also 20-25 minutes away (with no traffic) from the location in San Bernardino where I was assigned for the week. I will definitely recommend staying at this location to my co-workers from around the State, should they have business in Riverside or San Bernardino in the future!

2022-03-18Great front desk staff. Only one i remembered was Mario. Great personality!I will say though security is friendly named jon but he is too friendly and does not do his job to secure the place at night especially around the parking lot where cars are now being broken into. I had a friend stay here and his car was broken into. When I stayed here I would leave super early around 5am for work and find Security sitting in the lobby sofa relaxing. Caught him twice duringy stay. I dont know if thats an area for him to rest up but it does not look good for customers like me knowing hes Security and supposed to patrol the property especially parking lot. During the time i needed to use the business computer same security guard was hiding in there and sitting on the corner by the printer just on his phone. Should reevaluate his scope of work considering theft on cars are on a rise and location of hotel is not safe. Other than that room was Clean and staff were pleasant!

2022-05-13My family stayed May 7, 2022. The hotel was so dirty we considered driving all night to get home and losing the money we spent for the room. After showering, walking across the carpet and back to the light-colored tile we left black footprints. Surfaces in common areas were sticky.

2022-03-12Great location close to highways . Clean, friendly staff. Old building but decently renovated rooms. No free parking . They charge 10$/night and it was not mentioned before booking . No complimentary breakfast which is offered in many other locations .

2021-08-27I absolutely loved my few nights stay here!!- The rooms are extremely clean and quiet, with beautifully modern and productive decor (Keurig machine, mini fridge, microwave, table and sofa on wheels, plugs everywhere, and strong quality wifi wherever you go).- Im a light sleeper, but with the sound isolation and pillow selection I slept amazingly every single night!- The staff is so curteous and helpful, no matter the hour of the day.- Theres always food/Starbucks/drinks available, and the Market Pantry is freshly stocked daily and open 24/7.- Location and views are great, its right next to UCR, theres always a ton of free parking for guests, and its right next-door from shops and restaurants.Thank you for the wonderful stay, I wish more hotels nowadays would share the same quality as this Courtyard - would definitely recommend and stay here again!

2021-08-31We were very happy with our stay here. Mario at the front desk was very friendly and informative. The room was clean and comfortable, we stayed in the executive suite. Alejandro at the bar was nice and gave great service. The food was good and convenient and the white was so great that we bought a bottle. The surrounding area had great spots to eat, Genkiyaki, Ramen Okawari and Krak Boba were all very close and delicious.

2021-09-05The rooms were immaculate, the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful, and the bed was super comfortable. I stayed for 8 nights on a business trip and the room really suited my needs in that it had plenty of outlets, good internet connection, good lighting, good water pressure in the shower, super comfortable bed, refrigerator, daily housekeeping (if you request it) and it was conveniently located (even if its not in the best part of town). It also had a microwave but I never used it. A small negative regarding the room is that the sink in the room is a single sink with very limited counter space so it might be a bit of a tight squeeze for two people. My only other small complaint is that the one restaurant on premises has a very limited menu. That being said, the food was excellent and the service was great but as of now there are only 4 main entrees to choose from. There are a lot of chain restaurants in the area and some good restaurants a few miles away. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel. It is not luxurious but it definitely checks all the boxes if you are a business traveler, the staff was absolutely great, and it makes for a very pleasant and comfortable stay whether you are going for business or leisure.
