I checked in at 2:10pm for a follow up appointment with Dr Wieseltier. At 3:50 me and other patient were informed the Dr didn’t show up for the whole day. This place makes you wait for hours in the lobby PLUS another good minute inside the waiting room. I’m giving it 2 stars because I’ve been treated with respect and professionalism by 2 medical assistants, Leo and a female I can’t remember her name.If you get a chance, transfer your workers compensation care to Kaiser on the Job.
The doctor (didn’t get her name) was very dismissive of my fiancée’s symptoms. We walked in, told the front desk we wanted to be seen and described her symptoms. They said they were going to take her to triage and I expected they would at least take her vitals, but no. A lady just walked out, the front desk nurse said she was a doctor and to tell her the symptoms. She immediately went to Covid, even though we told her she had tested negative that very morning. She said to retest in a couple days as that’s probably it. She told my fiancée to “put aside” the pain she was feeling in her pelvic/abdominal area and to go to the ER if her headache and fever got worse. Then sent us on our way. My fiancée was disheartened as it felt like her health was of no real interest to this doctor. This may be some peoples only option, but if it is not I highly recommend finding a different location for your healthcare needs.
I have been calling for 2 weeks straight to reschedule an appointment no one ever answers Im out on hold for 15 to 20minutes each time when I call before giving up. The doctor couldnt even put in the right paper work for me to get an ultrasound on my stomach for a hernia that is clearly bulging. This place is a joke worst place I have ever had to deal with.
Company does not understand the concept of an appointment. Entirely pointless. You show up early/at your appointment time and they say it’s an hour+ wait. Might as well not have an appointment. Just show up at opening if you want to be seen in a reasonable time frame.
I know emergencies happen, and sometimes the closest urgent care is the best option for some people, but I HIGHLY recommend going to a different location than this one.Not going too much into my personal matter, the doctor who saw me before I was supposed to enter urgent care was very reckless and rough with my injury. He kept pressing and pushing on the wound and I constantly repeated “ow” in response, only for him to keep cutting me off while I was describing my issue until he finally said “well I don’t know what it is”.They didn’t turn me away because they didn’t know what was wrong with me, but the environment felt so unwelcoming, unorganized, and not something I wanted to pay for with the experience I just had. The people at the front desk were also very unwelcoming; I felt the only person that was nice to me was the doctor’s assistant, and she barely spoke at all. I stopped filling out the paperwork and left because I wanted to find someone that could actually help me instead of just guessing and hurting me even further.Again, I understand if this is all you can turn to, but I don’t want anyone else going through what I had to. There are better places along the same general area that’ll actually be worth your time and money.
I went in there for a mild work injury. However, tomorrow will be my last day after a year. I really enjoyed being a patient. My Doctor was very nice, funny and informative. And the staff was Amazing! Very kind and I appreciate everyone that I had the pleasure to interact with. I will definitely recommend this Urgent Care to others in the future. Very thankful.
I was treated badly by that Dr. Thomas Mackey, he was callos and unconcerned with my well being and health, and more concerned to place blame. All he managed was to stress me out during my time of trying to recover from COVID-19.He demonstrated Poor bedside manner and no patient treatment skills.I do not believe that it was his place to try and play detective or interrogator. My worker’s comp already completed that part of my claim before they sent me to Concentra. Dr Mackey was arrogant and rude. He had no consideration nor cared to conduct a true honest health or physical exam.I will never let that man near me again.
I walked in for a DOT physical and was promptly attended to. The staff was very nice and helpful. Which is appreciated when you go somewhere you have never been. I was in and out in less than an hour. The only reason for not giving it five stars was the fee. Though I realize that this being San Diego the fee or this kind of physical would be more than in other cities. For instance, in Fresno its half the price than here.
Worst experience!!! Go elsewhere if possible. My 95 year old father fell. Out normal urgent was fully booked. They gave us a flyer with several urgent cares to visit. Since it was difficult and painful to get my father out of the car I went in and inquire about insurances they took, first receptionist very nice and informative. Asked me for his insurance and ID. Told her that I would go get. When l came back there was another receptionist, very rude older heavy set Filipino woman, chewing gum with her mouth open. When I explained situation she looked at me as if I was a fly bothering her. When I asked her about insurance she just shook her head no, didnt bother to talk to me just chewing her gum! I have never seen anyone act with so little care in the Healthcare field. The health care field is not for everyone, unfortunately this employee makes this facility look really bad.
Every urgent care Ive visited I expect 2-3hours wait time. I was amazed to see how smooth the reception clerks worked efficiently with the paper work process. Then they had a great and polite way about the pressure of walk in patient process, which usually takes a toll on the staff. I felt no negativity coming from the staff. Which made my visit there feel comfortable and cared for.. I highly recommend anybody who needs fast care and good care to try Concentra. Thank you for your warm welcome. Concentra staff...
Women or ? Working the front with a tattoo on her right fore arm is very rood she has no communication skills and not professional. She shouldn’t be working with the public put her in the back somewhere. she is the one with short curly hair. Get off that high horse she rides on.
Worst patient handling. I came before they open and lined outside and waited for more than two hours and still not being called. They forgot about my paper. I came with complete documents. I told them its been 2 hours and Ive been holding my pee. After two and hours that the only time they called me to do drug screening. Worst experience ever.
There was little wait even though i was a walk-in. The office staff was very efficient and cool.i was there for a pre-employment screening so i was a tiny bit uneasy. The medical people were very friendly and helpful and rhe physician was very bright and cheerful. It was a piece of cake. There was no reason to feel unease.
I went to Concentra in Chula Vista last Thursday and had a terrible experience. Upon completing the paperwork, I was told that they only had one provider on site and that It’d be a 1-2hr wait. Not a great thing to hear, but it was what it was. I arrived at 11:40am and had my appointment at 12:15pm.As time went on, I noticed that the people in the waiting room that arrived shortly before and after I arrived were called to their appointments, by then I had been there for three hours. Not long after, the women at the front desk started giggling and messing around. I stood up, told a girl that I had been in the waiting area for three hours, and asked them how much longer I was going to have to wait. The girl didn’t even say anything to me, she turned to her colleague and asked her where she put my file. Turns out the other woman had misplaced it and had stuck my folder in the wrong slot in a file organizer they had against the wall. This was all extremely aggravating, but what I found very curious is that for the three hours that I waited to be seen, not one of the medical assistants bothered to check my file in the otherwise empty slot (my bright red folder was visible even from the waiting area) or could care to check in on me in the three hours that I was seated in front of them in the reception area. The misplaced file, although a very inept mistake, I could understand. But what displeased time the most about my visit to Concentra was the absolute and complete negligence of the clinic staff overseeing the reception area. There were at least three women facing the patients at all times and not a single one of them found it odd at a patient who had arrived in the morning had been sitting with them for almost half of their work day. I finally left the Concentra past 4pm and I truly couldn’t get out of there fast enough.I wouldn’t visit this clinic again and I certainly wouldn’t recommend for anyone to visit this place.
Not very polite at the front counter. Had to wait for 30 minutes to fill out a singular paper because the guy at the counter cannot multitask to save his life. Had to come back another day when I heard a supervisor tell another woman that had been waiting that it was a 2 hour wait. They only called one person to the back in the hour I waited along with 15 other people. How is that for an urgent care when there’s no urgency??
Facility was clean, wait time was reasonable and staff was inviting and professional. My nurse Chris was kind, personable and had a wonderfully warm demeanor. Her assessment of my visit was thorough and very informative. I could tell I was in good hands. I will be visiting this location in the future.
I rated this place 5 stars last year 2020. But recently I had to go in again and the staff that worked on 4/1/2021 were amazing.Without going into details of my ordeal I can say that Lance and Dr. Mackey were phenomenal. The fact that they really care and have genuine personal interest is why I am now writing a review and not just leaving 5 stars.Thank you for being a beacon of comfort when needed.((((((IF YOU ARE READING THIS REVIEW)))))I understand that we are in trying times but some patience and understanding go a long way. If you dont understand what is taking so long. Its the fact that the person in front of the nurses, doctors and therapist at this facility are their number one priority at the time. Im sure you would want the same treatment when your turn is up to see the doc! Be nice.
I had to wait over an hour for a drug screening for work.. They should have a system in place for these things that take a few minutes such as drug test, Tb screening, etc... Horrible service and atrocious Customer care.. Would never come here if it wasnt mandatory...
The check in process was quick and easy. The employees, nurses and doctors at the clinic were friendly and professional. My negative experience was the excessive wait time. I checked in at 1250pm. I didnt leave until 330pm. The ability to make appointments would resolve the excessive wait problem.
I had a appointment at 200 p.m. I left out 2 hrs later. That is entirely to long being that I had a appointment. I came a year ago for the same thing , a physical. I walked in without a appointment and was there for 55 min. and it seems like it was less Staff then. I felt like the Staff at the front desk could had been a little bit more Friendly . Didnt speak, smile or anything. Just what can I help you with If they dont like their job maybe they should find another field. Poor Customer service.
The nurse who went ahead and did my drug screen test was extremely nice and super patient. Only probably I had was with the nurses that were in the front desk.. super rude and not welcoming at all. Could’ve sworn people who were put in the front were supposed to have good customer service as well other than being a nurse/receptionist or whatever. Guess that isn’t a priority there. Other than that everything was fast and the only nice person there was the nurse who had to do my drug screen test.
Had a slight mishap at work. It happened in San Marcos but I transferred my claim here. So glad I did. The doctors Trevor & Julian were absolutely the best! They left nothing to chance and reviewed all of my injuries and took a second look to make sure I was being well cared for. The place is very clean and well kept with supplies as needed. No extra wait times. I was seen right away. I can only hope your experience is the same. I was even visited by Angela the center director who just came in to check on me and my experience. How cool is that! I feel better already!
After days trying to get a hold of someone to schedule an annual physical, as required by my employer, and leaving two voicemails requesting a call back, and not hearing back, I had to go in person to schedule an appointment. I was given one for the following week, at 10am. Even though I arrived to my appointment on time and with the twenty plus pages I need to complete already filled out, and adding my name to check in list, my name was called out 40 minutes afterwards. For service, I was called in at 11am. From there, it went pretty smooth and quick -I was actually surprised! I forgot her name, but she mentioned she’s new at that job/location. Please continue that way, you are doing great! I’m giving the 3 stars for not taking phone calls, not responding to voicemails, and taking forever even check you in.
The only reason I gave this place 1 star, is because they take walk ins, otherwise I would have given them NO STARS !The employees at this place seem as unorganized as the facility itself. They are also rude and very unprofessional! They leave you standing at the counter without even looking up to acknowledge your presence and ask how they can help you.I went in for a TB test and the M.A. was rushed. I honestly didnt even notice if she used a clean needle to administer the test. Also, she didnt ask me to place my arm on a solid surface before doing the test, she did it while I was standing with my arm out in front of me.But the worst part was, when I came back to have my arm checked out, they read my results out loud at the reception counter. Other people that were in the waiting area could hear that my results were positive. I thought that was very unprofessional as these things should be confidential and test results should be given in privacy. I was told I needed a chest x ray, all of this at the receptionist counter for everyone to hear and the receptionist made no effort to whisper.I declined the chest x ray at that location and made an appointment with my Dr at Kaiser. I should have gone to Kaiser to begin with but needed to be seen asap as the TB test was for employment purposes and I had to be seen ASAP.Im glad I didnt get the x rays there, they are so unprofessional and rushed and unorganized that I was afraid theyd have to take multiple x rays due to their unprofessionalism and lack of skills and all that radiation is bad for you!!Next year, I will not go there again!! Its awful! 2 years ago, they read my results in private, I dont know why they are doing things this way now.
The office was very clean and organized. Staff was very, very friendly, and the doctor was great. The problem was the wait time. I was told on one visit that the wait would be 2.5 hours without an appointment. I made an appointment and still ended up waiting a little over an hour. Then the staff doesn’t alert you that there will be a wait. I saw people getting really heated and verbalized their feelings to staff. Staff being very nice just smiled and hoped the angry person would go away. So if the office could come up with a solution to the long waits, tell patients that even with an appointment they may wait an hour, and come out and make an announcement that they are a bit behind, please bear with us” would help. Of course somebody will still be angry but most will be understanding. I just feel the staff has a quota and the pressure shows as a look of very friendly uneasiness at times.
I would’ve given Concentra five stars if everything was perfect. The only reason why it’s a four-star is because whom ever sends requests for my therapies through Worker’s Comp. does not request the correct amount of services the physician places for me. And the requests needs to be resent again for the correct amount. Work smarter, not harder.NOW for the reason for the four stars. Dr. Mackey, Owen in physical therapy, Ahi, Elvie, Adrian, Stephanie, and a few other ladies I can’t remember their names (sorry), Jeff (acupuncture), and their office manager are awesome! i’ve been going there for months and will be continuing to go there for several more months due to my work injury, they all treat me really well and they know my name and are always happy to see me.Dr. Mackey, Owen and Jeff Are always looking out for my well-being and does everything they can in their power to help make it better for me. I want to get better. So this works perfectly.I would recommend this Concentra to anyone, or any workplace to use for their workers comp injuries.
I was so pleased my first visit at cencentra I had to do a drug test for employment and let me tell you it was the best yet. I was greeted as soon as I stepped in the door. I was called back very quickly and I was treated with respect and great care. I would recommend all to go to Cencentra for your medical needs!
Waited over 3 hours. They attempted to draw blood from me while FedEx was already there & awaiting to package up my blood sample. This made the nurse rush to get my blood draw. The nurse attempting to draw my blood said to her other friend nurse “don’t watch me, you’re making me nervous” They poked me 3 times and missed my vein each time. Getting your blood drawn should be taken seriously and with concentration, all external noise and distractions shouldn’t be present. When they attempted to get my blood drawn I was in an office room where other nurses were walking in & out to get papers & print stuff, or just watch as the nurses continuously tried to get the vein, and missed, which only made a stressful situation even more stressful. In the end, they were not able to get the blood drawn out of me because they kept poking me and missing my vein. They said I would need to go back. Never going there again. Went to Kaiser the next day and they didn’t miss.
Vanessa is the BEST!!! Not only does she perfect her art and makes sure you are happy with your eyebrows but she is a awesome human being. The environment she sets up makes you feel comfortable, relaxed and inviting. Vanessa keeps everything clean and sanitized. My eyebrows are beautiful and I am so happy I found her. I HIGHLY recommend her!!!
Everyone at the office was very nice. I came in for a DOT physical and instead, my chart got mixed up and i got the wrong test. I had to come in the best day to get the correct test. They apologized and were genuine. They corrected the mistake the next day and i was on my way. Mistakes happen. At least they were respectful
Cris was amazing! She was very polite and welcoming, she made me feel comfortable and she knew what she was doing! She was very nice, her voice was so soothing and calming would definitely love to have her as my MA again. We need more like her! Go Cris! You’re doing amazing!
I am the kind of person who doesn’t complain much, unless I really have a reason to. I’ve been to clinics who made me wait for more than an hour but this was by far the worst experience i’ve ever had. On top of making me wait for almost 2 hours, the doctor made a misdiagnosis which only made the pain worst. He also doesn’t care about the patient at all and has such poor bedside manners. If I could give 0 stars I would.
My husband walk-in for a physical and was amazed by the attention they gave him. He didn’t feel uncomfortable since he doesn’t like going to the doctor. Lance cris was the medical assistant that helped him out and made him feel comfortable to be at the office. Thank you for making feel like he matter.
The staff at Concentra Chula Vista are the epitome of professionalism. Adrian needs to be singled out for his personable demeanor and efficient ways. Of course, Dr. Makey also makes the tedious visit seem less so with his easy personality and candor. Thanks to everyone there!
I went to Concentra for a drug test. I arrived and checked in at 8:16 in the morning. I waited for an hour and a half. Patient after patient Checked in and left. I went up to asked the nurse why it was taking so long. They told me that the rest of the staff that work there don’t start till 9 o’clock. If you open the doors At 8 o’clock you should have enough staff.
Just a note of high praise for one of you nurses Cristela. She was very courteous and professional in her manner. My DOT physical is always a very stressful time for me but she noticed my angst and put me at easy.Thank you for treating my like a human being and not just a number.Thank youD. R.
I went in for a Commercial Driver recertification. When the young woman had taken my blood pressure it came up extremely high. Ive never had any issue with high blood pressure, ever! She took my blood pressure a second time after having me relax 15 minutes and it came out even higher. Now, mind you, this could basically end my career. The doctor comes in and interviews me and I explain how these blood pressure readings cannot possibly be right. The doctor inspects the equipment they used to take the pressure readings and determined that the arm band quite possibly might be too small. She tells them to try it with an adult large arm band and the blood pressure readings come out good. Im thinking taking a blood pressure reading is probably a basic task in the medical profession, however its pretty important to get a fairly accurate reading. Peoples lives and / or careers may depend on it. You might consider getting some qualified personnel in there.
I did a screendrug test for pre-employment. Depending on the job youre applying to, the type of test may vary. Mine was urine sample, plus a physical test. Nothing out of the world. Its screendrug test; not a trip to Cancun with margaritas. People working there just want to do their job as easy and smooth as possible. They just follow prescriptions and indications on epassports. I waited for one hour. Its normal. I did it by 1pm on a monday. I assumed other people wanted to do the same thing since they are coming straight from their jobs or morning errands. Employees were nice to me. Be aware you may fill out a lot of forms, and theyll make you sign papers and disclaimers. Nothing else to add.
Everytime I come in for therapy Im greeted by Mia and Janet they are always nice, polite and professional. I hadnt been in in awhile and they both remembered my name , WOW what amazing customer service they both have. Thank you Mia and Janet because people dont understand the physical and mental stress we go through especially when we walk through your doors. Thanks again you 2 are the best
Yamile assisted me today. I went in for my medical examination for TSA. I usually don’t like going to these kind of tests because the people who assist me are rude. She was quick, friendly and she knew what she was doing. Thanks yamile for making my first time at concentra a great experience!
If I could give it zero stars I would. First, I work in an extremely busy ED so I get being busy. That being sad this place is very bad. The staff are clueless without customer service skills and emphathy. They overbook their schedule more than an average clinic setting would. I made an appointment for a quick pre-employment physical and I am still here (2.5 hours later) waiting to be called back. Keep in mind that I had a pre-scheduled appointment time! 100 percent of the patients in the waiting room are upset because they have been waiting for the same if not longer than me. Again do not come here even if your employer tells you to. Youll have a better patient experience getting arrested and then going to the detention medical ward.
I waited over an hour past my appointment time and when I went in the girl who took me and did my vitals, etc. was pretty rude. They were not welcoming and didn’t apologize even once for making me wait so ridiculously long past my appointment time. Also, they have those stickers on the ground that say to stay 6 ft. apart for social distancing and the stickers are MAYBE 3 ft. apart, if that. For a medical place, I find this to be highly unacceptable. This bad experience was not the first I’ve had with this place, and I’m sure it won’t be the last. I have to go there because they are who my job uses. I would never ever go there by choice nor would I recommend it to anyone ever.
I would give this clinic absolutely zero stars but thats not allowed. 1st time experiance was horrible and waste of time. Medical assistant tried to diagnose me, very unprofessional, zero patient confidentiality, and both Dr.s were unprofessional going against each other given me information until they both conquered and refused to see me to hear my opinion/options. Be aware. I only went here for a dot physical. I have a career, with excellent benefits and I was treated like a homeless on the streets, who even they should receive great service! Waste of my time.
Recently I had surgery on my spine, I was sent to physical therapy with Owen Bruan at Concentra Chula Vista. Although I have exercised my whole life and thought I knew a lot, the experience I had was exceptional! A great professionalism, attitude, knowledge, motivation and dedication has been the basis for soon back to work. Thanks Owen Bruan for your patience, giving me your knowledge, equipment to continue at home exercising me and your help!
I had to take a urinalysis drug test and I couldn’t provide a sample on my first two attempts, so as I form of punishment the attending nurse made me wait almost two hours before allowing me to complete my sample. I just expect people to act professionally, nothing more, nothing less.
It is unfortunate but the wait times are extremely high. When you look at Nursing supervisors, they are in their offices not attending to the patients that need help. Other floor staff are talking to each other on the side of welcome desk not helping individuals. How I know they arent being productive is the (same staff) that are talking on the side start calling patients after they get done with their conversation 10-15 minutes. I witnessed other patients come in after other patients sign in and get seen before patients on the waiting list prior. To do a simple pre-employment drug screen took 2/12 hours to complete. Unacceptable for urgent care. Customer satisfaction -10 very poor.
Terrible service . I went in for a drug test. They had me wait for an hour. I had to use the restroom so I asked if i can use the restroom and one of the workers told me no to hold it for 5 minutes and she will take me in. Instead, I waited another 30 minutes instead of the 5 minutes like she said. One of the young girls took me in and she was rude and she was also on her cell phone while on her work hours. It took literally only 5 minutes to do the drug test and leave. They should have just taken me in right away instead of making me wait over an hour just to use the restroom and leave. It was just a waist of time.
When I arrived and stood at the counter and I was completely ignored for a long time. Once I signed in, it took over an hour for me to be called back for a drug test. That is way too long to wait! Staff came around with snacks and drinks, which was nice; however, the lobby is full of people talking on their cell phones, talking to people on speaker phone and it was aggravating. I thought the office staff was somewhat unprofessional and the behavior in the lobby by waiting public was like zoo animals. The next time I need to take a drug test I will definitely go to another location besides Chula Vista.
I forgot to leave an actual review the other day, so here it goes. I actually had two different reasons for visiting and both experiences were great. Granted I waited almost an hour, but where can you walk in and be seen that fast? Nowhere!! The people at the counter were helpful and the doctor that saw me was very cool as were the nurses. I dont want to have to go to urgent care again, but if I had to, this is where Id definitely go.
Staff was friendly and a lot of team effort from employees , it was organized and upfront there wasn’t any unprofessional talk everyone was doing their jobBuilding is spacey and Dr was very nice . I didn’t know this place existed but I’m glad they had a Chula Vista locationI’m giving them 5 stars for happy employees and organization up front
Dr. Anthony Lawrence is AWESOME, great service, extremely pleasant interactions & Adriana has EXCEPTIONAL service as well! I love her energy & enthusiasm! They make you want to come back to this place! Thank you guys for your service! They are blessed to have you & your contribution of making it a better place!
I was sent to the clinic by my job for a random urinalysis. Upon arrival I asked if I had an authorization form which my employer did not provide or mention. I was still seen however while waiting over half an hour I had the urge to urinate I let the front desk staff know and the lady informed me that she was getting ready to check me in. I said okay and sat back down it took her several minutes to complete that. Once she was finished she placed it in the box for me to get my test. I then told the clerk “I’m going to the bathroom. I can’t hold it anymore.” She then pulled another girl from somewhere to take me back where I still had to answer questions and sign papers. Through all of this there five people waiting in the clinic but only one was before me. Also a woman that came in several minutes after me went to the back at the same time as me.
On October 3 I was sent to concentra 542 Broadway location. I want to share that the doctors, PI department, acupuncture and the entire staff were excellent in their care for me over the coming months. Each visit was a positive experience. Julian was especially kind as well as all the ladies at the reception desk. They always remembered my name and my injury. I felt very welcome there. Thank you all
If only zero stars was an option. Like any bootleg “urgent care” companies full of CNA’s and nurse practitioners, you get fast food quality service. I went in for a drug test for a new employer. I arrived at 5:15 pm (they close at 6pm) and there were three other people sitting in the waiting area. I signed in and did the paperwork and then the wait was on. After 15 mins one person was finally called back and now there were three of us left waiting. I don’t know how long the others were waiting but I counted over a dozen employees walking around, in uniform, but no one appeared to actually be working. I counted five employees leaving for the day between 5:30 and 6pm and not a single patient so there was no legitimate reason why three people were left just sitting in the waiting area. It turned out we were all there for a drug test. The employees were unprofessional, as I expected they would be. Regard for patients was non existent as usual at such places. Employees were having loud, personal conversations, within 10 feet of me about other employees and their personal lives. At 6pm the young lady working the front counter locked the doors and I continued to wait. Finally, just after 6:15pm I was called to the back. The test was standard enough but the sanitary conditions were disturbing. I do my part and hand the cup to the guy administering the test. He tells me to wash my hands, pours a sample into a smaller container over the counter in the computer area outside of the bathroom, and proceeds to dump the excess urine into the sink where I just washed my hands instead of in the toilet. Needless to say I would never, ever come here if I was not mandated to do so by an employer.
The doctor was very honest, she gave me at home remedies instead of stuffing pharmaceutical drugs into my body, she comforted me with her responses. I had a really bad flu and three days later I’m feeling better. Customer service was wonderful, I’m definitely coming back when needed.
This place is horrible. It’s the same company with a different name. Expect to be waiting anywhere from 6-7 hours to wait to be seen. It’s ridiculous I’ve seen patients that actually have an appointment that are early, being told that they have a wait of a minimal 1-2hrs. to be seen. I don’t know if they are short staffed but, they need more physicians in their clinic. This goes for the two South Bay locations in Chula Vista and National City. If it wasn’t for the friendly staff in the front office hustling and bustling, this clinic would be shut down.
Follow ups take 2-3 hours staff on that side is rude. No sense of caring for parient from the staff in front (older staff). Once in the nurses inside nicer. Doctors are rude and treat you like cattle waited 2:30 hours to be seen by doctor for 5-7 minutesTherapy side is the best everyone is always happy and friendlyIf I had only gone to therapy this would have been a 5 star but check ups side isnt the best
Wasnt acknowledged for a while after walking in. I was there for a drug screen. To pee in a cup. Wait was 1 hr 45 minutes . Thats insane to me. Not sure its entirely the fault of the staff. Seems as if they do to have the equipment to do their jobs properly .the computer froze multiple times, printer wasnt working...if that happens on every patient then I can understand why it took so long .
Staff is rude, never been here in my life, had to come here for a urinalysis so the girl at the desk rolled her eyes when I walked up for assistance, filled some paperwork out and waited about 30 minutes for them to tell me its going to be maybe an hour for assistance. Terrible experience here, especially when they work with such personal information, coach your staff, just because its the medical industry doesnt excuse you from customer service.
Staff was prompt to resolve an issue with my workers comp. Medical Assistant Leonardo was very polite and professional. I was then seen by Doctor Anthony in a timely manner, very polite as well. I also had my X rays done by X-Ray Tech Breana, I beleive was her name, all in the same visit. Great experience overall.
My first time ever at Us HealthWorks was fair. I am new to San Diego and came here for a pre-employment physical. WoW! Waiting more than an hour for an appointment is not okay. I thought maybe I was forgotten. So I went to the receptionist to ask how much longer and she wasn’t very pleasant. She proceeded to tell me I wasn’t the only one who needed to be seen. I am thinking but I am still sittng here and notice others coming and going. My last health establishment would always say..if you are waiting more than 15 minutes, please check in again. Maybe US healthnetworks should take note. An appointment which I scheduled for 10:00 am took 2 plus hours. This is not okay
The front desk staff were super rude. When I went the first time for my medical screening they myspelled my name wrong on the forms. I let them know, she gave me another form (with the same error). I went today (after one week) to verify if they sent the medical screening results to my new employer, the front desk lady was really rude. She said they will send the information to the employer, I asked her to verify if they already send it... she said it would take 2 days...I told her that it has been a week. She never looked it up on the computer or anything. When I requested a copy I told her how can they know I want a copy? she gave me a form to put my information.... the form only asked for the companys information not mine, and when I asked her she just took the form from my hands highlighted a blank space and told me to put my phone number in there.
I spent about 3 hours of time waiting for a 1 minute TB test. For those of you who come for a drug screen / physical / drop in appointment for work, I highly recommend you go elsewhere.Because of the poor experience here, I chose to move my HMO to a different provider.
Ive been here four times and I absoultely dread going here and essentially tell anyone I know not to come here. The wait times are very long, around 3 hours for just a TB test. The front desk is unresponsive and generally rude. I needed something fairly time sensitive to be sent to my employer and was told it would take two days and it has been four days and my employer still hasnt received the information they need. When you call, no one answers. When someone happens to answer, no one has the right information. Im really just confused as to how something so inept, is allowed to thrive...
The front office and nurse were absolutely rude. Since it was my first time here, I was a bit confused on where to sign in or what to do and the receptionist demanded me to sign a clipboard I had not seen before with a bitchy tone. When the nurse called my name so she can get my info (her name is Melissa), she greeted me with a mad face and with a very serious tone. No smiles, no friendliness. I understand its a very busy clinic but that doesnt mean they should treat their patients like crap. I will NEVER come back here and I hope no one else does too. Also, the wait is minimum 3 hours or longer, so goodluck.
Unorganized, Dirty and Staff has the intelligence similar to that of a 5 year old.The uniforms of the receptionist were so dirty and untidy! They do not respect privacy either, the lady was calling people to her desk while still with another client. How embarrassing..Waited 3-4 hours for a walk in, had been waiting outside so that the elderly may sit inside. Was told I was called 3 times and that is have to wait another 2 hours now.WOW.
I was having a tough time for the pass year, and felt like things were going down hill. However, when was seen by the doctors and staff at Health Works facility I felt for the first time some relieve. Granted there was a big wait for the first time being around, but the way they all conducted themselves was professional in the sense of the word. I wish a blessed future for them.Thank YouSegue Soto
Had an appointment at 10:40am and didn’t get called until 12:43am I understand the wait in urgent care without appointment but giving you one then making you wait 2 hours really missed the point of having an appointment in the first palce two stars because nurse was nice but female doctor was not
Would not recommend this place for urgent care, there is no urgency in there part, my visit took 4 1/2 hrs, if they we’re book they should of said so, receptionist kept saying your next, then my name was called by male staff member, the staff member ask In front of all the other patients? Did you say you checked in at 11:20 am or 1:30, I said 11:20 am, he replied, oh ok have a seat, finally got seen at 4:30, know it’s after hrs to top it off went to the pharmacy to fill my prescription and the wrong Birthday was written, way off, luckily I was able to get my meds, the 1 star is for how quick they took my money
Im currently calling the office at this very moment. The phone has been ringing for the past 5 min. No answer. Not even, May you please hold? Nope.... Just ringing. I have hung up twice before and redialed. Even left a message on one of the extensions because no one is answering the phone! I would NEVER go here if I did not HAVE to. But they are the facility my job requires we get a physical at. So, I have no choice. Going on 8 min now... Just ringing. Ridiculous!
The receiving staff are very unwelcoming. It is as if they are doing us a favor. Elvie and the other secretary (orange hair and dark thick glasses) speak to the patients(including myself) as if they were angry at the job. Eye contact wasnt there and its kind of my way, or the highway. The place is not dirty like I read in the comments, it just looks like it since the building is old. The only thing is that the inside is not well organized, boxes everywhere. I must say that the restroom was a bit dirty, but nothing too scandaleous.Doctors and staff in tge back were awesome(jeff and another guy), its just a pity that doctors are not the one that welcome you in. I came here for a job requisite, but I would definitely not come back or recommend it. Try to go to another establishment if necessary. Or if the person in charge reads this, in my personal experience customer service is the key for success. This was written respectfully, unlike the treatment I received from secretaries. Have a Great day and I hope my review is helpful. If you reply to call a number. I wont do it!! I wont waste my time calling when you can see the reviews and basically they all mention the receiving staff. THAT IS YOUR PRESENTATION CARD, TO CUSTOMERS! !!
This place is highly unprofessional. The ladies up front clearly need to go through another round of training because there is 0 communication between them all. Also, there was no discretion AT ALL. The whole clinic knew what I was there for. What is supposed to be a 15 minute process ended up being a one hour and 30 minute ordeal. Avoid this clinic at all costs.
The staff and the dr were all professional and kind when you don’t feel gd the last thing you need is to deal with rude staff but they were all great my nurse Yamile was very nice as well as the great dr pa lawrence (doc)was nice, and patient and also very informative on the many questions I had lol thank you very much to all the staff all for your kind and hard work keep it up!god bless
Would be greatly appreciated if employees acknowledged whenever someone walked in instead of ignoring us entirely. They represent Healthworks and their indifference and bland attitude makes patients feel uncomfortable. No patient should feel such way, especially in a setting like this.
Staff were friendly. Only major isssue was the wait time. Just for a UA test, I waited almost two hours. The test literally only took two minutes and I was out. For a physical, I waited two hours and a half to be called in. And then I waited an additional 30 minutes to be seen by the doctor.
Service here is outstanding , you guys did a great work during my recovery on every visit either for doctors or therapy , Yamile did a great job , very professional and great attitude as well as Cris and Angelica , great work environment and patient treatment , I’m very satisfied.
This place was terrible I was turned away and not helped for having mental health issues over a year ago and now am having a hard time getting employed because I wasn’t allowed to have my medical records faxed over from the hospital. I do not recommend going to this place there are better facilities all over San Diego.
There is no organization on the place you check in on desk and it take about an hour so they can do you a drug screen plus ,most of the time people look at you at the front desk and literally ,they can leave you waiting for 15 min before somebody take lil of time on you. With a really bad customer service .
Super fast inn and out. They have imporve check. InnWell better. Remeber when u had toWait about an hour or 2 for pysical from work.Imporvining well. BetterNurses are efficient. Docs are serious. And direct. Get point het u.outWith vitals. Just takling and checking.Ur body.Keep up the good work concentra
The personal that works there is very inefficient I was trying to talk to the specialist assistant to resolve a very important situation and they just transferred the call without listening, after I got transfer nobody answer, I leave a message, They dont return messages.I called for two days and the same thing happen every time. Its almost impossible to talked with this people. One time they put on hold for 47 minutes, wow...
The place is clean, however I arrived 25 mins after they opened and was told for my drug test it was a 90min wait! Seriously?? Its not even that crowded in here. So to pee in a cup, something that will take 3 mins max, I have to wait an hour and a half. Seems about right....
The no longer U.S.HEALTHWORKS Medical Group in Chula Vista. Change Ownership in the past few weeks, To CONSENTRA, Is not leaving up to the performance in punctuality to the appointments time. I was there few days ago n waited to be seen close to a hour. I have no problem with the Doctor that was treating me DR. EDWARD W. He is a very carrying PROFESSIONAL Dr. I hope things get better in the future.
WAITED OVER 3 HOURS FOR A PHYSICAL AND TB TEST FOR WORK. WAS PUT IN A EXAM ROOM WHERE PHYSICALS COULDNT BE PREFORMED. WAITED 15 MINS TO BE CHECKED OUT AFTER THE EXAM WHEN THE LOBBY WAS EMPTY. UPON RETURNING (2 DAYS LATER) TO GET MY TB TEST READ THEY COULDNT FIND MY PAPERWORK SO I HAD TO WAIT OVER 30MINS FOR THEM TO LOCATE IT AND PUT IT IN THEIR SYSTEM.
Thanks to the reviews from all the unhappy people, I will not go there. I can NOT spend thevdayvst a clinic were the deception treats people bad, but mostly I take care of my mother that is 93 years old, and I cant level her alone for hour and hours or take her to just sit and wait for allvthat time. Too many other choices thanks for the heads up.
1. Sandy is super rude. Had a lady with an obvious foot injury up and down for no reason at all. Back and fourth from the desk, not assisting her or actually walking to her like a reasonable human.2. Called BEFORE I came in, spoke to none other than sandy, she told me it would be 15-30 minutes. Its been 2 hours.
I had to wait at Concentra located on Broadway in Chula Vistafor over 3 hours for a physical exam and drug screening. The staff was attentive but couldnt do anything to expedite the process. It seems like their are to many patients and not enough Doctors.I was told my wait would be 2 hours but that was not the case.My physical exam took all of 5 minutes and was the least complete I have ever experience.I was extremely disappointed. Not the type of experience I expected.
Very unprofessional and racist staff. Lady ignored me and helpee others while i was standing right in front of her. Then manager was veryrude and UNPROFESSIONAL couldnt even figure out how to check me in. Fire the crew and get a whole new staff im disgusted with this location.
Absolutely abysmal.....My appointment was @ 11:30 Im still waiting ...first time I came it was 3 hours transferring to Santee if it takes as long maybe it would be different if staff was friendly but they look like theyre tired of being here as well smh 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
I had an MRI done on my right knee the MRI showed that I had a tear in my meniscus and the doctor I saw at Concentra says oh it’s OK you can go back to work even though the MRI requested for me to see an orthopedic specialist before I went back to work so I think that doctor Doesn’t know what he’s talking about
The phillopino lady in front not at all friendly I begged my employer not to send me here because the people in the front counter are very rude especially the phillopino lady she is a very cold lady wont even give you eye contact I mean I was sitting to be called and she saw me so I get up to ask her something and right away she tells me have a seat hello I need to ask you something never again The people in the back are great I give them a 10 star you guys need to work on how you greet your customers.
They have a sign. Please sign have a seat and wait to be called. After waiting an hour I asked for my place on the list. They said.Oh You need to check in personally, that list is not used for checkin.I was there and wasnt acknowledge. Why have a signin sheet if it isnt used?. Still waiting.5 min and I am out.Increiibleeee!!!!
Do not go here! Id give 0 stars if I could! HIPPA VIOLATORS, Everyone there will know why you are there! HORRIBLE staff. They spent more time talking about their personal lives than assisting the PAYING CUSTOMERS!!!!!!!! RECEPTIONIST WAS THE WORST EVEN AFTER I CONFRONTED HER ABOUT BEING SO LOUD!

2022-05-09The representative at the desk was so very helpful I had to return to work as I am a semi truck driver and I had been to a previous urgent care who wrote me the first return to work but it was so vague. Not only did she ask to see the email that I had received to see if there was some other documentation she took it the next step and even called the company matter of fact she called three different numbers trying to get everything clear. I was very pleased with the service that I received. The only hiccup that I did have is that I wanted a copy of the documents that was being sent to my company and I was told that I would have to wait until the following day after my company had received their documents. That was extremely minor compared to the quality of service that I had already received

2022-01-17I went in for a work physical, TB test, and drug screening. The place was very clean and tidy. I had a decent wait before I was seen, but nurses were moving quickly once I was in their care. Staff was very kind and professional. It was my first time at this clinic.

2022-04-20Really thankful for the doctor that took care of me, Earl. But the rest is just not good, I had an appointment at 10:15 and ended up being helped 1 hour later. When they check you out, they literally just want you out and not in a nice way. I don’t know why they can give you kind faces when you are talking to them

2022-04-13This whole team is amazing. Start to finish I got the best care I could imagine. The amazing PT staff was exceptional in their service. Front desk staff: especially Elizabeth V. are all amazing. The PTs I worked with: Shane O, Nima, and Owen made this experience incredible. Thanks for helping me get my shoulder back in shape everyone.

2022-05-02Dr cleared me for full duty at work. I have a serious back injury sustained five days prior. They couldnt help me. They just waisted my time. Horrible place to have to go to for work comp injury. They referred me to the ER, but then gave me a full duty release same day. LMFAO. What a joke. Stay away from them .

2022-06-27Untrained and unprofessional staff that has no idea what theyre doing. No communication between the front staff, medical and attending PAs. I was left alone in the exam room for two separate periods of 45 minutes, because they werent tracking the charts or their patients. Was there for a routine occupational physical, out processing clerk had no clue what forms to fill out or how to fill it out properly. Avoid this location at all costs unless you want to waste half of your day sitting around.

2022-03-04We took our son to be checked as he hurt his foot, they wouldnt even see him, because if it was broken they wouldnt be able to do anything else, couldnt they just check it wasnt broken first, maybe I dont have to go to the ER? It could have just been a sprained ankle. The doctor was rude and dismissive, not exactly what you need when you are visiting an urgent care facility.

2022-06-05I was directed here today for a pre employment physical and drug screening. I was notified that it would be a three hour wait. Okay, Ill deal with it. No biggie. So after an hour a young woman(Yamile I believe her name was) calls me to the back. She does not say hello or acknowledge me at any point until she says I need you to pee in this cup. Fill it up to here.Unfortunately, she was the nurse who was to be helping me for the remainder of my visit. She couldnt have been more cold or unbotherd by her tasks at hand. Its really sad to see such a young person so bitter. The front desk ladies werent much better but you cant win em all....One other instance that really rubbed me the wrong way was while looking at my intake questions the physician says in the most sarcastic tone oh, youre a bartender that doesnt drink? I found it rude and unprofessional. I informed him that I rarely drink. Not that it was any of his business. This place is such a mess!

2022-06-20For a Work Injury the wait is over 3hrs for NO reason!!!The doctors have RX Vision and everything is normal for them, don’t care about the patient notice the favor to the company HR. 1 star because I have to choose to can post🤬
