This place is one of the coolest comic book shops Ive been 2. The people are friendly courteous, helpful, knowledgeable, and for most wonderful customer service. Got my child hood ninja turtle, and lots of great pokemon cards.I got too watch my first Digimon battle! Over all its a Nerds, comic, card paradise! Found a second home lol.
Really great! The owner and employees are helpful, informative, and interesting to talk to. Really funny guys. Everything is straightforward and explained to you if you dont understand. Very family friendly. And they maintain covid guidelines! Masks required! And if you dont have masks or gloves, they have extras to provide to you for free! (Donations for use of gloves/masks might be requested but not forced.)
Misleading event information. The person I spoke with on the phone said I could register over the phone for a prerelease event when the store opened at 11. I called at 11 and they said they already had all of their spots filled. If you open at 11, how does that work? It’d be nice if they were straightforward because I was commuting 100 miles out.
So all I can really say is that this place was kind of bland in terms of presentation of its books. There isn’t a whole lot of diversity and in terms of other things beside the the comics let’s start with toys and collectibles are a bit over priced even for the smallest of things and honestly not worth itI have seen a greater selection of collectibles at other places with much more better pricesThe reason for the four stars though was because the customer service was more then perfect the guy who helped me with my order was able to get me out of the store with what I needed and if I had a question about where to find the certain issues of comics I was looking for he got up personally try and help find what I neededHopefully the next time I can come they do fix their selection of comics to be a lot more better next time I come to Sactown
I came for a Pokémon prerelease, advertised as a prerelease, and theres no event. Sure, theres product, but thats what I came for. I also didnt come for someone to ask me, thats it? when I bought something. Thats it? Ill ask of this store that doesnt seem to want a community.
This is the place you wanna be for collectibles, especially for Pokémon and MTG. Great customer service, wide selection of recent/standard releases and immediate customer service. I came in during the holidays where all TCG were 20% and I can say Ill be coming back in the future.
I went here for cards yugioh in particular and the store was dirty and dark and dusty. The comics seem to be organized well and cared for, but the cards are put in a box in the state they come to the store in. Some were in old sleeves still. The employees that were there were terrible. One was on the phone and the other who was at the counter kept some of the cards I bought. I bought 3 toon cards for yugioh and only got 2 put in my pack but I payed for all 3. My husband bought some vampire cards and again missing after the guy rang them up. It was ridiculous.
Went in for Magic: the Gathering. This is easily in the top three of my favorite comic stores around Sacramento. Went in for a special event Magic draft, and everyone there was kind, helpful, and friendly. I didnt catch the owners/managers name, but he was a great guy to talk to, and very helpful. I will be returning soon!
Josh is very knowledgeable in his entire inventory, which he has a decent amount of for just opening recently. Great deals on Magic the Gathering cards, boosters, and boxes. Also you can catch some comic book steals on Mondays and Tuesdays. Weekly meets for all sorts of things, he has quickly become my go to shop.
If you are looking for great customer service and excellent selection, Comic Command Center is the place youll find it! Theres so many good things I can say about this shop. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and very hard-working. The owner, Josh, may be young but he is very driven to give his customers the best possible experience, not just in his shop but at conventions as well. Dude is always busy, but not too busy to be friendly, and provide a personal element when doing business with people. For example, I had some books I wanted to send off to CGC and with my busy schedule, the only day I could get in was on one of the busiest days of the year: Free Comic Book Day. Despite the high volume of business transpiring during my visit, Josh and his staff took care of me in a very well-timed manner that allowed me to accomplish my transaction while also taking care of the rest of his customers. Very organized and efficient, while treating all of their customers with great importance. Another great thing about CCC is that their products are very affordable, so they move books, which in turn means you see new selection every time you visit. And if you dont see it, just ask! They will help you find what you are looking for. It doesnt matter if you are a novice collector or experienced investor, they have something for everyone. Earlier this year, I finally had the opportunity to acquire a grail book that Ive wanted my entire life, and Josh made it happen. I told him what I was looking for, and he had 3 of them to choose from. Thanks to CCC, Im the proud owner of a beautiful CGCd Incredible Hulk #181 and I was exceptionally pleased with what I paid for it. I Still am! If new books are your thing, they have a saver program that is consistent and reliable. As for back issues, they always have a great selection that is well cared for. I dont collect cards, but from what Ive seen, they are very dedicated to taking care of their card customers as well. Its the little details that make this shop one of my all-time favorites, and Ive been collecting for over 30 years! So if you appreciate doing business with people who work hard to provide their customers with the best service and products, in an environment that is friendly to people of all ages, check Comic Command Center out. You will be glad you did!
Straight to the point: The service here is TERRIBLE!!! The owner is a young, know it all type of d-bag. He believes he has an image to maintain and treats customers, who are outside of his circle poorly, in order to insinuate having experience or wisdom, or something weird like that.I asked a question and before it was even addressed (which it never was) he proceeded to spew off some ill conceived instruction as if it was my first time in a comic book shop. This kid is rude and speaks to you in a demeaning tone and has no business owning a business. I dont see this place lasting long. My friends arent going here. Im not supporting this kid. He doesnt seem to understand that word of mouth will make or break the success of a small business. I have nothing but bad words for this business and I will take my money elsewhere. I suggest you save yourself the trouble and do the same. There are other, more respectable locations in the area that wont alienate you for attention.
Id dont recommend this comic front. The employees are always rude, disorganized because they constantly move inventory, forget to put them back in order, and asking for assistance gets you knowhere. I tried purchasing 2 newer batman comics issues 97,and so on from this storefront and everytime I tried it either wasnt listed so they couldnt sell it (even though it was the day it came out.) N when I would callback when they openedThey would all be magically gone. STRONGLY wouldnt reccomend, if you have the means head over 2 Worlds Best Comics, always have what your looking for with far superior customer service.Well that concludes it. Thanks Josh.....
I shop here for magic the gathering cards. My first time in I had some questions and the guy working was super helpful and answered all of my questions. I left with exactly what I came for and I plan to return in the future. I even saw a few things that I have to go back for!
Real helpful. Saw me without an appointment. Didnt buy anything from me. There was a small snack bar that was on point. Ramen noodle soup cups. Rice krispie treats and some other noteworthy snacks. Got great guidance on my comic book collection and for that i am grateful.
GREAT shop! I come here once a week. Im happy Natomas has a comic shop for me and my son to go to. Josh is awesome and he is a wealth of knowledge! On trends, and artists! You can have comics sent off for CGC here. Please help local businesses and come here and collect comics.... Pokemon cards and others.
They are always very nice at Comic Command. They have a decent selection of comics and will do a saver for you so you dont miss an issue. They also have tables for gaming and will teach MtG, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, etc if you need. You should check them out for your Comic and deck building game needs.
Would live to give 5 stars but there is some room for growth here. This place well defines a super indie comic book shop. It has that your buddy in college decided to go big with his dream and open a comic book store vibe and to be real I absolutely love it!If table top board games, Magic the Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons, Settlers of Catan, and other truly nerdy things is your cup of tea, and your up in Natomas then you better dam well show up here. This is the only truly indie comic book store in Natomas.I feel the dream here and I love it. I play a fair amount of Dungeons and Dragons and this store to me was great. They had dice sets for under $10 and raffled free minatures on adventure leauge night!Even if there wasnt any actual odors, its small and smells of bro. They have a Marvel vs Capcom arcade in the back. The Twix and D20s are $1.As a long time patron of comic books stores myself I frankly love the vibe here. I hope this place succeeds and grows to great heights. Its a beacon of true nerd culture in the barren planes of vanilla natomas suburbia.
Worst comic store (that was still in business) I have been to since moving to Sactown about a year ago. I dont think the owner or any of the managers have any prior retail experience, thats clear from signage and store layout. Comic sans might seem the obvious font choice for your main sign if youre a comic shop, but its 2016, its been done to death and is pretty cliche at this point. The windows are full of signage, but on the inside, theres a lot of blank, empty, wasted space - both on the sales floor and the walls as well. Shelves for new releases are not marked with titles. Other shelves are marked too plainly, not big enough letters. The cabinets coated with carcinogenic spray paint (no Prop 65 signage either) containing back issues arent even labelled. Even stickers reading A-D, E-H, and so on, would have made perusing more user-friendly. But no. Same goes for the $1 Bin section. Not fun to flip through all sorts of who-knows-what mixed between all different publishers. Not that Im asking the staff to be librarians, but, you know, its a book store at heart (should be) so you expect some organization (but theres hardly any) and it makes trying to find anything a very .... trying experience. Other comic shops I visit, you go in, your eyes dont know where to look - too much cool stuff! At CCC, you dont know where to look because theres a significant lacking of stuff to look at. The two toys on top of the spray painted cabinets are dated and worn looking, look like relics just dug out of a 10 year hibernation in the attic. Very few other knick-knacks, or even posters just set out for display or cool factor. All in all the atmosphere is very lacking. The stock is shallow, nothing here comics-wise I cant get anywhere else, and other stores beat CCC all day at variety and quantity. Same goes with games, toys, books, and collectibles. Heard the owner tell a customer looking for single dice that they hadnt (reached the level where they could make money from selling) single dice (to paraphrase). Referring back to the lack of business acumen, some items you just HAVE to stock even though youre not going to make profit - because youre expected to sell such items, and you know the customer buying them is going to pay your cost for said item with other (related) purchases. DESPITE all these negatives, upon my visit to the shop, I decided to make a pity purchase anyways, because the staff (friendly, even if seemingly more interested in playing mash-up songs and talking) told me that all horror and Halloween-related items were X% off. So I picked up a comic (Guardians of the Galaxy - not on sale, sure) and a book (Lovecraft Unbound edited by Ellen Datlow). When I went to pay, the OWNER HIMSELF checked me out AND DIDNT GIVE ME THE HALLOWEEN DISCOUNT ON THE BOOK (which was horror-related, to be sure, its Lovecraft, and Ellen Datlow is one of the premier editors in the horror genre). That was the nail in the coffin - I wont go back. Theres better-looking shops with more variety and simply more fun stuff to look at, and I know Ill get the deal Ive been told Ill get. CCC is average at best (for a shop 20 years ago) but mostly lackluster and boring. Id give it 0 stars if possible.

2022-05-23Well stocked for current comics and a decent collection of back issues. 40% of the floor space IS dedicated to gaming tables but the sections that arent are well stocked with action figures, statues, and other cool items. The staff has always been kind and willing to track down a book or update a pull list.

2022-02-201st time here. Born and raised in the area and I am glad they are around. Was greeted when I walked in even though a Magic tourney was going on. All I needed were 2 storage boxes for my cards which I was able to purchase. Will be back to make bigger purchases in the future. Thank you

2022-02-27Great selection on comics including back issues, only problem is these guys running the shop drop an F bomb every few minutes! You have young kids coming into your store. How is that even fair ? I have never been in a comic shop that ever had that problem. If you have small kids just be warned

2022-05-23Back issue selection is vast. They have some interesting key issues as well. A hidden gem comic store in Natomas, close to Garden Highway and I-5.

2022-03-27Had a good time browsing, excellent comic book organization to make a newbie to the scene feel a lot more at ease and welcomed, as well as an amazing menagerie of figures to select from

2021-10-06Anyone that is a card game collector/seller BEWARE of selling your choice of cards to this shop. I’ll start by saying that from the first time I came into this place to sell my cards, they were all pretty good at buying a select few cards of their choice that I would bring in for a decent amount of cash/store credit. But the last few times they have gotten worse and worse. And by that I mean cheaper and cheaper. Last night I took in some cards that I pulled out and set aside to sell from my card binders. Every card I have as well as the new ones I purchase always get scanned by me on the TCG app on my phone. Always right after I purchase them and always right before I take certain ones in to sell. Well last night I had well over $400 in cards that I had scanned right before I took them in to be sold. When they chose the ones they wanted and returned the ones they didn’t I ended up with only $89 bucks in cash and literally only a few cards back that didn’t add up to much at all. I didn’t realize this until after I got home and scanned the ones I got back and did the math on all of it. I don’t recommend going to this shop to sell your cards unless it’s your last resort. Take it from my experience.
