The Jalisco tacos were very good! The rice and beans were tasty. Only downside...no Horchata. Friendly people and constant table up keep. Was too hungry to take pictures. Next time though. I promise. 😅
Fantastic flan, excellent food all around! We totally love this place. My wifes parents live here in town and when we come to visit we always treat ourselves to a meal here. The folks that own and serve here are great and friendly folks and always go out of their way to make you feel valued. Did I mention how good the food is here? You should try the chilli colorado.
Ordered take out and it was ready in less than 10 min. I had steak tacos and my husband had a grilled chicken & mushroom quesadilla...both were delicious! Also had chips and salsa and the salsa was some of the best Ive ever had, would definitely recommend!

Husband absolutely loves their Chiles rellenos!! The chicken used in tacos, salads, etc is always freshly grilled and yummy. Friendly service, a local gem.

This place has amazing, authentic Mexican food. I highly recommend their Mexican flan because it is one of the best deserts I have tasted. I have tasted flan before, but nothing as creamy and sweet as this Mexican flan.
I had told everyone in the car multiple times that I was not going to eat a burrito because I would fall asleep shortly after eating it. Well, what did I get...a Chicken burrito and Im really glad I did. It was one of the best burritos that Iever had. The servers were very friendly and the salsa/chip were excellent! I liked it so much I ate there agin the next day, If you havent tried it...you wont be sorry.
Had the Chicken Tostada combo while son had their tamales that he loves. Was very good and the staff is super friendly. So worth the drive to Diamond Springs for excellent Mexican food.
This restaurant has a great atmosphere and the food looks wonderful, however, the tamales and the churros were dense and heavy, but the ice cream that came with the churros was top quality. Ill try something else the next time.
Wed been looking for a good Mexican restaurant for a while after relocating to El Dorado county from the Bay Area. Colina de Oro was recommended to us by some friends. The food has always been excellent and so is the service. (Try their chili rellanos!) We only order take out now because of the pandemic, but the food is still great! Every restaurant will have its off days once in a while, but weve never run across one with this restaurant. Highly recommend.
We were pleasantly surprised with our experience, since there were some not so nice reviews. The food was tasty, the service friendly, the atmosphere authentic, and I loved it that one of the attendants was going around singing a little Mexican music! We had gone there years ago, and I was not impressed, but they have greatly improved!

Only been here once, but my 1st visit was a great experience. The customer service is easily 5 stars. I would give the food 3-4 stars because it was fairly generic Mexican food. My carne asada burrito came w/ a side of refried beans and rice, (which is nice for an extra hearty meal but not for originality), and the Dos Equis from the tap was kinda flat. Plenty of chips and salsa were provided!!

Who serves pinto beans instead of refried beans at a Mexican Restaurant. . .Im pretty sure theres mayonnaise in the guacamole.This is one of those boomer restaurants that all the white parents/grandparents enjoy.But hey, if you like it, thats cool. Enjoy things.
It was a very good meal, I enjoyed it very much. The reason it gets a 4 star is because the borrito was slightly dry. Other than that the meal and staff were very exelent.Would recommend.

I went and bought a carne acada burrito..they gave me a takeout plate with a scoop of rice another of beans and a tortilla with a few long thick dried up ugly pieces of meat.. and a black overripe piece of avacado...on top of the tortilla...terrible...and I pd 14 dollars for that.....I dont recommend this place...
Love this spot! Good food, personable people, large dining area. This building changed frequently when I was a kid (I remember it being built, LOL), but Colina De Oro has been here a long time and I hope it stays forever.

Our company eats here monthly. A dozen people. Sad response to lack of avocado on Colina Quesadilla. Three coworkers got only one small piece of avocado for the entire dish. Disappointed in lack of detail and concern in sub par service.

2021-12-14Pretty solid spot. Clean, extremely friendly staff. Very attentive waiters. I got the chorizo and eggs. Its was better than average but not the best Ive had. Their beans are amazing. The salsa was not spicy but you can request a good more authentic spicy one. Ill definitely be back. I was told to order a chimichanga but went against the advice of a friend whose been here. Next time. Chimichanga.

2022-02-08Staff was friendly, but nothing to rave about, probably not a go to if youre a picky eater. The salsa and chips were good. The tacos were very basic (one corn tortilla with guac), enchiladas were okay (they add sour cream to kids meal), and hamburgers not a fan (frozen patty). The kids meals were large portion and the whole beans had flavor, not a fan of the rice.

2022-07-14Always like this place. The maitre d is so full of energy and smiles, he makes you feel like youre at his house. The food is always good. Beer and wine only, but thats ok, its Mexican food! Service is quick and efficient.

2022-03-02A convivial, open atmosphere with super attentive wait staff. Everyone with whom I was seated seemed okay with their meal and no complaints were ever heard. My, however, is that my taco salad was prepared in an unusual manner that I didnt mind, but didnt really care for. Second visit I tried the Chicken Tacos Supreme, which was tastier. I was surprised the the beans werent smashed as are most refried beans-maybe this is more of a regional approach. 🤷♀️
