I was politely greeted as I entered. Registration was easy and fairly fast. I was given a waiting time, as I did not have an appointment. (Now that I know they take appointments, I’ll call for one prior to going in). The wait time wasn’t too long considering I was a walk-in. I expected to wait my turn. Once seen, I was impressed w/ both the nurse and the PA’s attention, concern and personable demeanor. The X-ray tech was knowledgeable and highly competent. The PA diagnosed the problem and discussed treatment, and prescribed appropriate medication. The discharge tech provided me w/ all the reports and information needed for at home treatment. Over-all, I was impressed w/ everyone’s efforts in attending to my issue, and would highly recommend this facility.
I was disappointed that only one of three staff members introduced themselves. No name tags. I had called the day before and was a walk in. I was seen quickly. The main area of concern was the assessment. It was skimpy and didn’t even cover a systems review. I’ve been an RN for 44 years and would be written up for such a shallow, incomplete assessment. I went to Nevada to see my primary care who found two other issues of concern. Nothing was done wrong, just not enough was done right.
Very nice newly remodeled office clean and inviting. Polite caring front desk and clinical personnel. Had an appointment there at 12:30 pm was called in at 12:38 pm. Rylie and Roger PA were listening to concerns and answering questions. Test results were available in minutes.
Wow what a change. Looks like the urgent care of the 21st century. So clean bright and welcoming this place has become. Not a lot of chairs but good only for the people that need to see the staff. I also watched them wipe down the chairs, door, and counter. Very clean and top notch.
10 out of 10 would recommend. I I had a small problem and ended up speaking with someone named Brandon. He very kindly and compassionately helped me figure out the right course to take and quickly resolved my issue. A very kind and intelligent gentleman. Your company is lucky to have such an asset on your team. Thank you Brandon!
The customer service could not have been better. Staff were friendly and quick to serve ~. Very pleasant. It would be helpful if they had diagnostic capabilities ~ ie: urine and blood work ~ access to labs. If those are not usual capabilities of urgent care centers then 5-stars!
My Experience today at Carbon Health By Manzanita Ave. was great! I was instantly helped by lovely receptionist her name is Simreen! She’s really respectful & nice. Xavier The MA was also very helpful as well he guided me step by step what I’m going to be doing next. We need more people like this 🤍 thank you!
Not recommended and a tremendous waste of time without any help. She greets us as we walk-in and asks what’s she can help with. We explain heavy cough, causing breathing issues and chest pain and a recommendation from the pulmonologist after a Tele-visit call to seek urgent care for immediate attention. She asked a few questions and checked insurance only to say. “We take your insurance but our provider told us to stop taking walk-ins a few minutes ago but I can make you an appointment for tomorrow.”Considering urgent care was needed and we were turned away is one thing. But she could have turned us away immediately so we could go to the ER instead. It was 4p on a Thursday and only 2 people waiting to be helped. Disappointing. I write this as wait for my mother in the ER.
Walked in with no appt. Receptionist asked me a few questions and gave me an estimated cost and told me the wait would be around 40 mins. They actually called me back in 10 mins. Everyone there was friendly and compassionate! Nurse Practitioner Tim confirmed the diagnosis and I was out the door! Also, the clinic was very clean! I will definitely come back if need be!
So I checked my online health portal tells me where I can go that takes my insurance. This one pops up. Ok cool, I call 3 times to see what the wait time is no answer. Today was very hot out. I drive all the way over walk in. I was asked my name, what was wrong with me, and if I had a appointment. Told her my name I had a sore throat tested negative for covid and no Im a walk in. She tells me they are not accepting walk ins right now, only one physician on site. Wth if they would of answered the phone I wouldnt have wasted my time driving 30 mins in 5pm traffic when its 95 degrees outside. Dont know why nobody answered the phone when I went in there she was by herself and there was nobody in the waiting area. Todays date is may 19, 2022 whoever was working the front desk around 5pm couldnt be bothered to answer the phone cause when I walked in she looked like I bothered her.
If you are not feeling well-run dontwalk to this place! Some of the bestcare ever, fast, easy, affordable &efficient healthcare with onsite lab andX-ray! Omg the nurse practitioner andstaff are amazing! I went in fordebilitating neck, shoulder and backpain. I couldnt sleep, cough, laugh, sneeze without pain! They gave me ashot and a prescription in 30 minutesin and out! Thank you soooo much!
Paid out of pocket, But I have money to pay. Doctor would not help and just keep saying what I need was too expensive (less than a 1000) and just kept saying she doesnt know how much things cost but it will for sure be expensive. (179 dollars) Told me she couldnt help and they still charged me for the visit. Took her 5 minutes to tell me nothing we can do. Told me to go get a primary doctor. I needed blood work done for my stomach hurting. Possible ulcer. I was in pain when I went in and she let me leave in pain. Prescribed nothing.
I came to this clinic as a result of a post-ER visit. The ER physician instructed me to make an appointment with urgent care. I called and scheduled an appointment. When I arrive for my appointment, I am asked why I need to be seen. All she had to know was that I HAD AN APPT! She begins to question me, asking, Who sent you here? Whats the matter with you? In my mind, Im puzzled as to why I have to explain everything to the RECEPTIONIST rather than the DOCTOR. She literally demanded specifics. I already stated all this when I made the APPT. This has never happened to me before. I HAD AN APPT! Check me in let me see the DOCTOR! She then goes back to speak with someone. I could hear her whispering. She then comes back to say that the DOCTOR cannot see me. I need to see my PCP. Which I have an appt todo so but its far out. So to get treated I came to this place that was listed as accepting my insurance and the services. I am also very disturbed in regards to her attempting to tell my issues by having no privacy whatsoever. If I was a WALK in and you had to ask, fine. BUT I was not I had an APPT. I was embarrassed and not seen. I will never go here again. If they were not going to see me they should not have scheduled the APPT.
I had a very good experience at the Carmichael branch. I came in with a head wound and they got me right in. The receptionists were both friendly and helpful. After the medical assistant cleaned the wound, the PA, Manny, put in the staples with the help of a second medical assistant. All three were kind and helpful and took time to make sure I was comfortable and got the appropriate care. I was able to return to the same location for a recheck two days later with the doctor on duty and later for a second recheck with the doctor to have the staples removed. It was very convenient to have everything done at the same facility. I would definitely recommend Carmichael Health Urgent Care Carmichael.
It looks like my favorite little urgent care has turned into a mostly appointment facility with the occasional walk in allowed. On the door it still says walk ins welcomed. We were definitely not welcomed when we walked in. The person at the front desk said they werent accepting walk ins and they were too busy, there was one person in the waiting room. They did offer me an appointment for 2 days later. I dont see how that qualifies it as an urgent care. Im so disappointed that we now have to find a new urgent care for our family. The only helpful thing they said while I was there to call ahead next time see if they are taking walk ins.
If you want to wait over an hour just to get a 5 minute covid test be my guest. The staff is pathetically slow it feels like its on purpose. Into a half hour of my wait I approached the front desk asking how much longer do I have to wait. All they told me was theyre waiting for a room to open shouldnt be too much longer.Left me wondering do they only have 2 rooms back there because only two people were ahead of me. Staff is pathetic and dont care about the health care of the people that come in.
Went last night to try to get a test. None were left. Receptionist told me to come back today 1/8/22 early in the morning as a walk-in. Went today and after waoting in the cold was told there are no walkins.Tried to contact them by phone last night and could not reach anyone. It sounded like lke they picked up
Pathetic really. Appointment to take a pre employment drug screen. Was left waiting 45 minutes. Once I finally asked about how much longer it would be they were magically ready for me 5 minutes later. The same thing happened with a man who was there before I even got there who was waiting on his paperwork the entire time. Once he got up and asked what was taking so long, again like magic his paperwork was ready in a couple minutes time. Honestly just pathetic employees. The tech/nurse who did my test was pleasant though. Doesnt make up for waiting 45 minutes to take a UA test though.
I left today after waiting outside, in the cold, for 45 minutes. I watched at least 8 people go in while they made me stand outside. I was trying to be respectful of their procedures in light of the pandemic. They refused to make an appointment and I couldn’t check in over the phone and wait in my car. I won’t be back. I’ve gone there for other things in the past and had poor but not pathetic experiences. I’ll drive out of my way to use a different clinic. Don’t go here with even nominal expectations- you’ll be disappointed.
Dont go here. Your better off going to the ER. The front desk secretary is haha-ha and no work. Comes off as dismissive and careless. The wait is 1 hour long in the waiting area and another hour in the room. Service was never performed correctly. Walked straight out and didnt return when asked to wait outside again.
The Dr. and Staff were extremely efficient. I had to go in on a Sunday. They handled my situation with professionalism, in a timely manner(especially for an Emergency Clinic),and kept in contact with me even after my visit to verify how I was feeling. You are all exceptional in my opinion. These professionals are buried in patients, paperwork, phone calls, etc.and did an excellent job. Thank you to all of you....
I’ve had generally good experiences with MED7 in Folsom but chose this location because they have a doctor on staff. The medical staff were nice and seemed capable. The reception staff were rude and unresponsive. They called me up “next” then stared me down. I told them I was just arriving and checking in and I got a serious eye roll. There was a lot of unnecessary paperwork (for someone who is in their system). The wait was long. 1.5 hours before I got in, they estimated 1/2 that.Note: This location is small so if you have any need for privacy don’t go. I knew the reason each person was in the waiting room since reception staff asked them to share. I just needed x-rays for my ankle so I wasn’t personally too worried about privacy. They didn’t ask any of the flu patients to wear the masks that were in a box by the reception window. Small space, flu patients. Not a great environment overall.
The medical staff were absolutely great and super knowledgeable. The physician was very confident and reassuring. My ONLY problem was with the receptionist who was knowledgeable but kind of rude. Giving 5 stars because they definitely deserve more than a 4 but 4.5 isn’t an option.
The staff is very nice. When I got taken into the back to one of the rooms the doctor assistant was professional and sweet. It was quick after she left that the PA came in. He was great and funny. Made my visit quick and easy. The only one thing I wish was better was the wait time from check-in to being called back. It was at least over an hour. But the service was great. Thank you
The staff is nice enough but seem very disorganized. Only walk-in available for Covid testing and it took me about 3 hours to finally get tested. If you need a physical copy of your results you have to go back in, which takes a while for them to find. Somewhat frustrating when many people I know have received their results via email. The last place I wanna be again is in a waiting room at an urgent care to receive my negative result.
Every time I have a medical issue that cant wait till next week, this is the place I go to. They have been very kind, helpful, and respectful, always took care of me, and made sure I was comfortable. The physicians and practitioners here are great people who do their job well. I always leave feeling satisfied about the care I received.
Fast, friendly and thorough. They didn’t make my brother feel pressured into their other services like previous urgent cares have. Instead, they told him what to look out for and come back if needed. Their prescriptions are affordable. I love that they gave a follow up call to see how he’s doing. If you’re paying out of pocket or not, this is the place to go.
Waiting room is very, very small and not in accordance to COVID-19 social distancing regulations. As someone who currently does NOT have COVID-19, I was afraid that I would contract the virus here, given that most of the patients in the small waiting room were waiting to get a COVID test done. Wait was very long, estimated 1 (or more) hours. I was asked to stay in the compact waiting room with other patients for more than 15 minutes (who possibly have the virus). This center should have patients wait in their cars and have patients come inside when called. Please abide by COVID-19 regulations.Edit: In response to the owner, desk staff did not offer me a pager the first time. I had to approach them again after waiting more than 30 minutes to see if there was an alternative. Only then, did they offer a pager. Also, I did not take the pager because the receptionist told me I was up next, (which was a lie. I had to wait another 20+ minutes, and there were two people who went ahead of me). The staff was friendly, but they should always offer pagers when wait is over 30 minutes. Please remove more chairs, and purchase more pagers. My issue is not necessarily with the staff, but whoever is managing the clinic. Your staff and patients deserve to feel safe and protected.
Every time I have had to come to MED7 Urgent Care, whether it has been for myself, my husband, or our 20 month old daughter, we have always received the best care. The nurses and doctors are always so kind and gentle with my daughter, and they try their hardest not to upset her. It was even at that office that we had found out for sure that we were expecting. I truly hope the level of care at this location continues to be high.
I used to go to Med 7 years ago and always had a great experience. Went there yesterday after a car accident. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I didnt have to wait very long to be seen, I was expecting a long wait but was pleasantly surprised. Dr. Dean Kim is really personable, a great listener and really easy to talk to. Hes very thorough and couldnt say enough to do him justice! I left wishing that he were my primary care physician. Great experience, I highly recommend Med 7 Manzanita!
I have five active kids so we have visited this Med 7 MANY times over the years. Everyone is always very helpful and friendly. I have had to wait several hours at times, depending on the time of day, but thats what you get with urgent care. Theres really nothing the staff can do about it. They have TV and magazines to keep you occupied while you wait. Med 7 actually costs less than taking my kids to their pediatrician, so we always come here first! Thanks for taking such good care of us.
I appreciated the friendly staff. I was fortunate enough to arrive early and the wait time was less than had I come in midday. Duh! So plan your ailments accordingly. The the doctor had an excellent bedside manner, though they dont actually have beds in the exam rooms. My only complaint was, not including the staff, there are so many sick people in there
I cant say enough about this clinic! I was there twice in one month - once on a Tuesday night for a cat bite, which they quickly diagnosed as needing not only an antibiotic but a tetanus shot -- and two weeks later on a Saturday morning for a bad cut from a pair of garden clippers. Both times I was in within half an hour, treated quickly and professionally, and was very impressed with the medical staff. They called twice to follow up, and asked me to come back after the finger cut to have someone take a look at it, and changed the dressing on it - even gave me the rest of the bandages to go. The lobby is clean and quiet, and you are in and out! Im so glad to have this clinic so close to my house!
Got a nasty slice on the leg and needed stitches. I went right in, no waiting. Attentive staff. Very COVID-19 conscious and physical distancing enforced. Doctor Gonsalez was hilarious and told jokes to distract me. The entire staff was friendly, efficient, and professional!
Today was my second visit to this specific clinic. The initial line to get checked in was a bit long, but it’s because they open at 8:00 am whereas other urgent care places don’t open until later so it’s to be expected. Once checked in, I didn’t wait very long and everyone who helped me was helpful and kind. I was in and out quickly and believe the PA and staff are awesome. Definitely will visit again in the future.
Nothing to complain about. It was my first time here and it was perfect. Everyone was nice and friendly. I dont have insurance so I had to pay out of pocket but they made sure to tell me the price of everything before hand. It was clean. And I was also in and out of the office within half an hour. I did go in on a Sunday around 1:30 so I dont know if that makes a difference...I would recomend this place
The wait wasnt bad considering how busy it was. The doctor practitioner I spoke to was very empathetic to my concerns and pain and listened to what I had to say as well as questions I had. They did more for me in one visit than the Mercy ER has done for me in the last month.
My experience here was interesting. It was not overwhelmingly good or bad. It had aspects of it I didnt care for. The front desk had one person taking care of everyone while multiple people were just standing around talking about covering each others shifts.. The woman I dealt with was okay, but you could tell she was in a rush to make me go away. The one positive experience I had was the woman who took my vitals, McKenna. She seemed genuine and patient. The physicians assistant, Linda was very rushed. She seemed like she wanted to argue. She didnt really give me a chance to explain before she interjected herself. She seemed rushed, and wanted to get me out asap. I didnt feel like I was properly evaluated (especially for the money I paid). I wasnt insulted or offended, but the whole experience gave me a weird feeling.I dont think I would return.Update :1 week later Ive developed pneumonia after not being heard out. I only got more sick after visiting.
This Carmichael location is amazing. I went in on this last Sunday night, and the staff was pleasant and very helpful. Should you not want to sit in the office, you can have a pager, and then wait in your car. I might have been in at a lower volume time, so I sat in the waiting area. Everyone listened to me, not only to take notes for the doctor, but in a way that seemed like they genuinely cared about each patient that comes through the door. I would definitely suggest using this location to anyone who needs to be seen quickly, but doesnt want to start out at the emergency room! Thank you guys!
I came in to take a Covid est. The receptionist ignored me as I stood there for 15 minutes, nobody else was in front of me. She didnt even acknowlege me and/or say, Ill be right with you. The assistant was rude and I told her to stop snapping at me then she blamed it on Covid. Wow! I told her I dont care I am a patient you treat me with care. The doctor came in and was rude and cold I even tried to make a joke in light of the situation. I felt like cattle. t was all business and unbelievably stale. What happened to good bedside manner and nice people in doctors offices Med 7 and Carmichael is the worst.
Showed up with pre employment work documents for a physical, drug test, TB test, covid test, I expected to wait. But.... After filling out paperwork on a clipboard that didnt exist for me and the 9 people in line socially distancing until it didnt show up until after we didnt know we needed it and I had been waiting in line for 35 min, witch told me, means the lady in the front who grabbed the same thing I had been waiting for, had been waiting much, much longer. Im not faulting understaffed clinic, Im faulting lack of direction and the fact waiting for 3.5 hours when I was told 2....... until I was seen....... I heard multiple people say theres not a clip bored with paperwork, nor there was not any signage saying fill this out first. Also I was never given a fob that vibrates and told to wait in my car. The woman just said wait and your name will be called, I counted 5 people that showed up after me and were seen after being told I should be next after only asking once after 2.75 hours I would be next. Theyre customer lack of care is a joke. After them finally admiting me the process took 25 min......
I was getting my DOT physical and when I arrived there was 10 people seated in the waiting room and 3 waiting in line. I considered leaving, but as I was waiting I noticed how quickly the people were being called. The staff was fast, efficient, caring, and friendly and the waiting and medical rooms clean and inviting. I was in and out within 1.25 hours.
Every step of this experience was better than expected. I arrived dizzy, nauseas, half-deaf and fairly terrified by my Sx. (But determined not to give another emergency room a hundred dollar copay) They were quick efficient and full of helpful information. I left confident that Ill feel better soon. They are covered by hills physician group so the visit was affordable. Thanks med7!
I had a good experience at this location. Everyone was very helpful and nice. There was about 5-7 people waiting in the lobby and I spent about 45 minutes total there, so I felt like they were fairly fast. They only reason I’m giving them 4 stars is because I feel like there should be a more recognized line. There was only a sign saying wait here to be called. When you stand next to it, you can’t really see the windows, it might be helpful if there was tape on the floor to make the like more easily identifiable.
I was expecting to wait for hours because that has always been my impression with urgent care/emergency rooms....but I was taken back rather quickly. everything was done fast (initial consult, chest xrays and breathing treatment) and everyone was professional and friendly. I had pneumonia and was given 3 prescriptions and a note to excuse me from PT for school. I have no complaints about this Med7
Good quality, very convenient, fast care, no long waits!!!’ As working mother of 3 sons love it! They work on weekends! Way cheaper and faster than visit to ER. Sometimes you have to wait up to 2 weeks to get an app with primary care, and not during hrs that you prefer, and you have to ask fir time off from work, At this place you can walk in any time!! Usually visit takes 1 to 2 hrs depending how busy they are, from the time to come to leave with prescription. Using it many years for all types of emergencies for kids and myself, more than 12 years . Stuff are very friendly, and knowledgeable . They always call you back after couple days to find out how are you doing. Received different type of care from colds, small injuries for kids, infections, infected wounds, UTI for myself , sinuses, to even referral to ER to treat inflamed appendix for my son. Would recommend it to everyone!
If I could give 0 starts I would. Seems as though the main complaint here is the front desk. Which is my issue today. My son came in at 11:39 to be seen. He did not have the new copy of our card so I text it to him. He turned in his paperwork and was told they would let him know shortly if they could verify eligibility. He also told them that if they needed a copy of the card the could find a recent one in his sisters chart. After an hour of waiting and watching many people walk in, walk out and stand in line for more then 10 minutes while staff stand in the back and have personal conversations, he got up and walked out. Not one staff member checked in with him. He watched as people got their paperwork, filled it out and tried to turn in and the staff just ignore them. This is disgusting treatment of patients. If you dont like what you do, find another job. When I called to speak to a supervisor I was told there is not one. Maybe that is the issue, put a staff supervisor on duty to keep the front desk staff engaged in patient care. The rude lady on the phone gave me every excuse as to why it took so long. 65 min to verify eligibility, we are now in 2020 and no where should it take 65 min to verify eligibility. Fax backs take less the 5 min via automated system, and creating log in assistance to health insurance companies to verify eligibility takes even less time cause your getting real time updates. When I informed her of this she told me they did not have access to the websites. Talked over me every chance she had, was not compassionate or caring at all. Could totally tell she did not care at all about the patients, even told me he was next to be seen, funny cause he left already but if she was actually doing her job and collecting the co-pay she would know that when she called his name and he did not respond. What a shame if that is true. I asked multiple times to transfer to Supervisor VM so I could leave a message to which I probably wont get a call back, finally she transferred me. Front staff needs training on how to handle check in process from beginning to end, handling direct patient care and how to put a smile on your face even if you dont feel like it. I dont want to hear how your weekend was, how big your kids are or what your relationship status is. I dont want to know about your pregnancy or anything else. We come there cause we dont feel well, trust its the last place we want to be. I really hope Med7 gets it together, you can be in business in the same place for years but if your not treating patients right it doesnt matter cause eventually they will tae the time to drive farther for better care.
Upon arrival, a woman assisted me with checking in. She asked what was wrong, so I told her a cut in my mouth had caused an infection that was hurting under my jaw, primarily though bothering me in my ear and throat. She automatically told me that my insurance wouldn’t cover dental. I asked why since it wasn’t my teeth, it was my ear and throat to which she responded that it’s technically located in my mouth. Her coworker luckily stepped in and corrected her that since it was bothering my throat and ear, I could be seen. She then put together a bunch of paperwork and told me to fill it out. When I asked her why I needed to fill this out if I had been seen at this location before, to which she responded “I should have asked that.” She then proceeded to tell me that I did have a charge and couldn’t be seen until paid, which I told her I didn’t have a problem with. As she processed my paperwork, she talked to her coworkers about how she knew someone that had taught their baby sign language and I believe discussed teaching it to her future child since she was pregnant. I just found this a little rude because I was still standing there. Having worked in retail and hospitality for many years, you always engage the guest in front of you, keeping your personal conversations for once they’re gone. Her attitude was just completely rude and not what someone wants when they’re sick and not feeling their best. The doctor and nurse that I interacted with once in the room were very kind and compassionate though, which helped make up the visit.
I have insurance so I paid the co pay, no problem. BUT if you dont have insurance then they will charge you 178$.. if you read on the internet MED7 is a rapid result covid tester I will say right now it is not.. If you are going to pay for a test you mine as well pay anyone else for an actual rapid result test. This may not be MED 7 fault entirely because they use LABCORP but when you go in the doctor will tell you 2-7 days im on day 4 or 5. The reason I am getting the test is because a buddy popped positive and the kicker is his test from a different place had results IN 2 HOURS!!! I will say the people working at this med 7 were nice, polite and all that so dont take this as a knock to go there for anything else.
I checked reviews for all urgent cares in my network and this Med-7 has the best reviews for wait time and patient care. It was a bit busy but l only had to wait ~20 minutes (other places had 2+ hour wait times). My nurse was so kind, professional, and not judgmental at all. At first l was nervous the Dr was just going to refer me to the ER or somewhere else without really seeing me or hearing me out (from previous med-7 experience, different location) and he was a bit brash right off the bat but when he came back in to exam my issues he was relaxed and funny, put me at ease, and seemingly thorough on the exam. Also he was not judgement, not embarrassed and was professional with his questions. He prescribed me medication that would fix my multiple issues in one throw much to my relief and gave me advice and thorough aftercare instructions.I was very skeptical that I’d be wasting my money and time but l was incredibly pleasantly surprised!
“WORST CLINIC” I’ve personally ever been to. “PEOPLE” who work there are “NICE” but management is beyond “SLOW” (wait of 5 hours just to get one “X-RAY”) and place is “TOO OVERPRICED” for the service you receive. and now it has been 2 WEEKS and I still HAVENT HEARD about my X-ray RESULTS and PLUS when you call them and sure you wait again and get don’t expect “PROPER HELP”.P.S - please pull your management together becoz we need you #DoctorsAreGod 😒
On Tues I went to see Dr. for an infected finger. Although Im not crazy about the order they take patients (If you have Medicare you wait longer than private). Anyway after an hour wait, the doctor (Kopke) took very good care of me. Today on Thursday, I went early before they opened for follow up. I was first to see Dr. which seemed like a miracle. Dr Kim was excellent, as were the staff. Kudos to Med7 in Carmichael!
This was at least my 4th visit to Med7 and I have been pleased every time. The only drawback is the wait. My most recent visit was on a Saturday morning during flu season; I expected to wait, it was OK: 2 hrs and 15 minutes from when I walked in the door to when I left. Thats actually less time overall than most emergency room visits I have had. All personnel are polite and professional. The care I received 12/2/17 from Dr. Candice B...was thorough and compassionate. Suggestion: have available a basket of masks for sneezing/coughing people in the waiting room, and empower the receptionist or PA to make sure that sick people are wearing a mask. I would not hesitate to return to MED7 on Manzanita.
I went into Med 7 for a severe sore throat. I was seen very quickly & taken very good care of. Unfortunately I had a virus so there was nothing they could do for me. They also did a follow up call a few days later to see how I was doing. Nice, friendly, clean place. I would highly recommend this location.
I was told by receptionist it would be about a 30 minute wait for shots, turned into 2 hours 30 minutes ,nobody came in with an emergency, then I would understand the delay, when I finally said something the lady said oh your still here, sorry 5 more minutes 30minutes later they called me and my 4 and 8 year old in. I said I could come back tomorrow anytime between 8 a.m. to 8p.m. but she just said it would be just another 5 minutes. Liar.
The wait time was about 45 minutes. They gave me a pager which made it convenient for me to wait in my car. Once I got back to the room the nurse came in and checked my vitals. When she left the room I only had to wait about 5 minutes for the Dr. They were friendly and professional.
In and out fairly quickly for minor illness. Needed a Dr. note, so my appointment didnt take very long. They give you a pager so you dont need to wait in the waiting room - which was very convenient. They had a bad reputation in the past of charging co-pays for those with insurance, which is why they have have now stopped doing this. Got an apology letter in the mail for charging us - we only paid $50 for emergency care (hardly unreasonable). Now we pay nothing, they keep getting better and better.
They saw me pretty quick. Everyone in the office was very kind and professional. I do not have health insurance so they made sure to check all the prices for the recommended treatments. I have a lot of allergies to antibiotics so the doc made an effort to not give me unnecessary meds. They made my sick day as stress-free as possible!
I had a severe dog bite. I was in shock when I went to them. My dog was at the vet and wasnt sure if he was living or dying. I was advised by a friend to go Med7. My finger was gaping open and broken. I arrived at the office after dropping my dog at the vet, they rushed me and began treating my wound. Dr. Kraft and the staff were absolutely wonderful. I cannot speak highly enough to the immediate attention I was given to my current needs. 10- stitches later I was ready to go. The next day I returned to them and I saw Dr. Kim. I had an infection creeping up my arm. Again I was rushed into a room and given an injection of a strong antibiotic to stop the infection. I was given an oral antibiotic prescription and sent home. I am so grateful. I could have died from the bacteria/infection had I not went to them as soon as I did. They know what they are doing. Thank you all. To all you dog lovers, Harley made it and is alive today:) Faith
Had no problems with this company or location until recently. The waiting room was clean the staff was very nice. I ended up going there enough times they began to know me by name. What pushes me to give them such a low score was one experience. An MRI report was done on my knee and was not sent to my insurance company for review. I called to follow up on the status of the report being sent and was kept on hold for OVER AN HOUR (screen shot below). I even called on another phone to ask about my long wait time and was again told that it would only take a moment to find out and they would speak to me on my first line. So I waited... and waited...no one answered. I finally called back again on another line and was accused of hanging up when I was still connected. The rep then told me that MED 7 did not do MRIs, to which I explained that I know that and that the doctor had called me the Friday before to discuss the MRI results at which time he said they would send over the report to my insurance. I was finally transferred to someone else, but not before a cheeky make sure not to hang up joke. I was then placed on hold again while they looked up my file. A very confused rep came back on the line trying to figure out what was needed. I explained the situation again to which her response was I dont know, I dont see anything saying that we sent it so I will just send it again. Finally after an hour and 40 mins later I finally got confirmation the report was being sent.
If I could give zero I would. Front staff is fine, nice people. The lady that saw me was so incompetent. She told me what was wrong with me, she was incorrect. When I told her I knew what was wrong she laughed in my face several times. She gave me a prescription for an antibiotic that I did not need which I found out after having to go to the ER who confirmed what I already knew. Bottom line is that the doctors here guess what’s wrong with you and give out antibiotics that people do not need. They are contributing to antibiotic resistance. I have never been laughed at by a doctor. Considering the amount of pain I was in not even two days later, having been laughed at by an idiot made me so much more angry.
I arrived with what I thought was an infected boil on my back the size of a golf ball.It turned out to be a ruptured sebaceous cyst.Dr Kraft went to work on it immediately, performing the surgery to remove it.I cannot say enough about doctor Kraft, he is kind, knowledgeable, professional and very caring.Thank you sir and to all at med7
My wife and I have gone here primarily when things have come up over the past 5 years and they never seem to be able to give good help. They rush through diagnosis and have usually rushed us out the door with a pain med and thats about it. Many times their doctors have given us medical opinions that after doing our own research proved to be medically inaccurate. Every time I go here, and we only go when weve had extreme prolonged symptoms, I always leave wishing I hadnt gone in and wanting my $100 office visit fee back. My most recent visit I went in with a persistent headache with dizziness and blurry vision lasting more than a week and was given a migraine medicine that had no effect. They called to ask if I was feeling better and when I answered no they just said they couldnt do anything over the phone and was welcome to come back in and spend another $100 for another rushed diagnosis. Ill pass.
The nurse practitioner was wonderful, but the front desk person was extremely rude Maybe a little peeved that she was working on Sunday of Memorial Weekend). I went in with heart palpitations and was still feeling a little wonky, when I asked if I could get my blood pressure taken right away she rolled her eyes and sighed, I kid you not.
I got a deep 7inch gash on my lower leg. I went directly to Med7. The doctor saw me quickly. They cleaned stitched (15 stitches) and dressed the wound perfectly. They prescribed antibiotics as a stand-by med in case of infection. So far, no sign of infection and wound is healing nicely. They are thorough, efficient and very kind. Thanks, Med7!
Doctor Did not spend a minute to check my son. My Son a doctor appointment next day but my son having a lot pain in tooth gums because of swelling, went MED7 Carmichael on Saturday (11/1/2020) . My son is four year old had teeth gum swelling and fever called ( Herpes simplex ). Nurse tested the saliva and doctor came looked at lips of son told it canker sore and prescribed medicine Magic mouth wash which is not available in CVS and Walgreens. This medicine is available only compound compounding pharmacy they are open only on the weekdays., I called MED7 told that it is available any pharmacy please suggest alternate medicine after an hour they called to nearest cvs pharmacy prescribed Prednisolone(It is a steroid medication ) 15 mg/5ml SOLN. I got the medicine from pharmacy around 5pm . It is so bitter taste when I gave to him, he vomited. Going to this MED7 is waste of time and money. From this I came to know that MED7 does not have experienced doctors for kids. Before giving medicine to your kids please check online does it good or not. Please share the email or online link where people can share feedback about a doctor.
The service is always good. The doctors and nurses nice and helpful. Hate to say it but they are more nicer and more helpful then our own primary care doctors. But this place sometime accepts our insurance and another time doesn’t. That’s the only bad thing about this place. Like right now they no longer accept my insurance.
Came in to Med 7 today for a pre employment drug screen, Arrived at 10:45 checked in at the desk as of 12:30 I have still yet to be seen for something that doesn’t take long at all. When I asked what the wait time was they told me 45 mins . You walk in the building there are bunch of people but none of them are available right when a customer walks in . Seems as if they are just standing around talking and texting on cell phones COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL, while you have a bunch of people waiting to be seen . I will never come back to this location your better off using your regular physician.
Excellent care today at Carmichael Med 7.. Gave me a pager so I could relax in my car and listen to NPR. Nursing staff was friendly and professional. I was a pharmaceutical rep for 25 years, so I have known many doctors..Dr. Kraft who treated me is one of the brightest physicians and finest diagnosticians I have ever encountered anywhere. I always know I am in great hands medically when he is here.
2019 Tb test...Usually long wait times, but today I was in and out in half an hour for tb placement, no MediCal accepted does accept 3rd party payment (employment). Staff very attentive today, but the last two times I was here this was not the case.2020 Tb test... Been here 2 hours, no hope left. Dude in here refuses to wear his mask correctly. If I wouldnt have paid first Id have left already. The MA has asked him twice, to no avail. Surly guy has me worried about my safety.DEFINITELY GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE NEXT YEAR.
Have been here probably 10 times in the last 5 years and have always had excellent experiences. The receptionists have always been polite and competent, the assistants and doctors have been unfailingly personable and helpful and I LOVE the use of pagers. Keep it up!!
I have had to come here for several urgent-non-emergent issues this last year and they are always very kind, agreeable, and as helpful as they can be. Just as a warning through they do not do prior authorization for pharmaceuticals if the medicine ends up requiring it. I had to wait 2 months to see my physician for something simple that took a phone call, still, the nurses, PAs, and MAs did not write their policy so this is not something I dock points off. They ALWAYS call and follow up two days later. The facility is nice and clean, they have in house xrays.
Thanks Med7 for having me pay $100 to have Mike dismiss me and tell me I have allergies and to take some Flonase and Motrin. Find better PA’s with better bed side manners! It was clear that he was annoyed by me from the second he read my symptoms. Immediately spoke to me in a condescending tone when I called him out on rushing out of the room because I could tell he didn’t want to deal with something so trivial and get on to the next patient. Hire people who care about people and show that they care. He was rude, argumentative, and pushy.
I brought my son in January and signed a waiver staying that anything my insurance wont cover will be billed to me. I changed his policy in febuary and went back to med 7 in June. After clarifying to them that my new medical ID card hadnt come in the mail yet and that I wanted to be sure before we continued the service that his insurance would still cover the visit, they assured me that as long as his ID number was the same (which it was but with a completely different policy) everything would be fine. I waited In the waiting room for 30 minutes, my son then seen and taken care of, and we went on out way. 2 months later in the August I get a $180 bill. I know my rights. They didnt inform me at the desk AFTER ASKING OVER AND OVER AGAIN of my insurance was still acceptable and of there were any changes I that needed to be varified. I filed a greivance that I just found out was denied because they threw the waiver I signed in my face and claimed I provided false ID. Im still fighting this they. 2 stars for semi good service but its unacceptable how they train their staff to inadvertently dig into people pockets.
Tiffany was a delight. I came in with a dog bite and she calmed me, cleaned the wound and gave me a tetanus shot. She was thorough and walked me through her process. I truly appreciated her talking with me and keeping my mind off the pain. She was sweet and beyond helpful.
Excellent visit! Folks were more than decent to me (esp. w all the sick people!). Doctors bedside manner was folksy, but professional AND he nailed my condition in nuthin flat. Best part for me, as a poor preacher, was the price didnt drain me dry.May God bless you folks,Brother Gary Gospel Gary
Everyone is so nice here, incredibly funny, sympathetic, just an absolute gem. I went there twice in about 1 month for different reasons and they were all just so wonderful and caring! Better than my primary physician and their place smh, thank you for the wonderful experiences.
This med 7 is really unprofessional. Front desk assistant Mayra is extremely unprofessional and rude. Every time i need to come to this location they take forever, at least 2 hrs minimum per visit. They give out wrong information or dont give you needed information before you leave the clinic. Wouldnt recommend this location, drive a further distance to a different med 7.
Ive gone to med 7 in carmichael twice this year. Once when i got shingles. And once for a broke foot. Both times the wait was little. The place is always clean. Folks working know what they are doing .And the treat you like your the most inportant person on the planet. If yoy need to see a doctor go there. They are terrific. Thanks guys.
I usually never write a review but this office needs to know that Melanie answering the phone needs some more experience and training talking to people. It is not OK to treat people seeking help with disrespect. If you dont want to answer lame questions regarding care maybe you shouldnt work there.
Iwalked in there last week, with such a case of poison oak. I itched my skin feeling like it was on fire. There was a more than a few already waiting, I thought to my self, why dont you just go to the er. I have never been to an med 7 urgent care, the nurse at my drs. Office told my there was nothing they could help me with. That the Dr has to actually see me and determine that it w as poison oak. But they didnt have any specific rd for two weeks no wake un..So this is why I ended up at med7. Was watching someones house for her up off of fair oaks. You guys where the cloaest..They took me right in after about ten mins then nurse did her thing taking no temp. Wieght. All that good stuff. The Dr was in about five min. She didnt get all horr lived by see the marks on my body she put me on some medicine and cream and in 5 days Ive almost cleared up..Thanks for helping me out that day...God bless..
This place is a shame to medicine, First off, one of my insurance companies referred me to this place. As soon as I came in (for an infection) I was refused medical treatment by this place due to the front office staff person was afraid to lose her job if she helped. Apparently if you have more than one, you cant be helped. Mind you I had multiple qualifying insurances. I was also lied to by this place on where to go instead. Front office needs better education and not be so rude! Seriously this place is very bad, A warning to the wise.
On November 26, 2013 I took my 80 yr old mother in for some trouble keeping food and liquids down. She was seen quickly and treated wonderfuly by all staff and Dr. Assistant. The Dr. on duty Dr. Accinelli MD was the best and I wished she had a pratice in a regular office. My mother was feeling 90% better when we left and feels grate this morning! Thank You all for caring so much and showing grate kindness which isnt the norm theses days! Happy Thanks Giving!
Terrible service. Their corporate policy is so odd. I went back in 14 and was charged $112 which I then paid. Today, Im rather ill and went here and they said I owed $112 and that they wouldnt allow me to see a doctor until I paid it which I already did! If youre in the mood for being sick and screwed over, come here. Otherwise stick with MDStat or heck, even the ER. Med7 will henceforth be highly unrecommended to all my coworkers, family and friends. You should be ashamed of your business practices. Preying on those who really need you.
Visited in February 2016. Excellent service. Friendly Staff. Dr Kraft knowledgeable, efficient, hes the best! Overall great experience.Visited for second time April 2016. Dr Kraft not available so saw Dr Popke. Another great Doctor. Labs done on the spot, reviewed by Doctor and meds prescribed all in one stop. Great visit.
Was hurt on the job, my employer sent me here. Worse medical clinic I have ever been in. Front desk is more than extremely rude and challenging. Told me I could go to another clinic. I asked for a copy of my paperwork, they asked me why, which is none of their business, medical records are a personsp property.

2022-06-30I had the best experience from start to finish at the doctors office. The front office staff was friendly and helpful. I was seen quickly..Julie Allen, MD is amazing. She took the time to listen to my symptoms and evaluate me. She made sure I was comfortable and showed me human kindness. I will recommend this urgent care to anyone. I could go on and on, but they are incredible people. I appreciate everything you guys did and continue to do on a daily basis.

2022-02-04This was the third urgent care I tried to get care for my 95 year old father on a Sunday. They were friendly, efficient, caring and thoroughly professional. Really could not ask for more. Laura Pierce, DO, took care of him but all the support staff from Reception and 2 Medical Assistants or nurses were great, too. Of added benefit is the Carbon App and their support staff. I dont know what it might cost Med 7 to contract with them, but I would say it is a sound choice as it sets them apart from other care centers in my experience. We will definitely go to Med 7 first in future.

2022-07-09The staff were very helpful, allowing us extra time to find needed documents. They were quick in giving the test and getting the results back. I was worried we wouldnt get our results back in time for when our cruise departed. But contrary to what the website said, we got the results back from our COVID travel tests in half an hour instead of 24 hours. And they printed out a copy for us instead of having to do it ourselves from the website.I highly recommend Carbon especially for getting results back with a quick turnaround time for travel!

The entire staff was kind and patient while still providing quick care. I was in and out with results in just over an hour.Thank you everyone at carbon health!

2022-06-28Was sent here for a required covid test prior to a procedure. My office didnt communicate properly what to expect, which caused me to be frustrated. The ladies here were patient, understanding and overall dealt with my frustrations very well. They all were positive and helpful. Sylvia called me with my results right away and faxed them to my doctors office. The medical assistant that swab me was quick and gentle, which was greatly appreciated as those test can be uncomfortable. The office was clean, check in process was easy and all the staff had smiles on their faces. Thanks again ladies for understanding my frustrations werent towards you and for keeping a positive, friendly vibe. You all rock.

2022-05-24No one else would help me get a covid test so I could go into surgery with my son the next day. Everywhere else wanted to charge me $175; even though I have insurance. I told Alyssa this and she helped me. We are grateful someone cares in the business of caring. The whole staff was actually great. They care about people. Thank you

2022-01-28Wow, what a horrible experience... Wife needed a pre-surgery covid screening. She made an appointment for 4:30pm. We arrived 15 minutes early and expected a drive up stay in your car quick test and drive away. Nope, they do the testing inside the clinic which makes you wonder if someone tests positive, are all staff and visitors who were present notified to quarantine or get tested? Anyway, the point of this post is more about the wait. She sat in the waiting room, after making an appointment, for 1.5 hours. At 5:45 she was called to a treatment room where she sat and waited another 45-60 minutes before the 30 second swabbing was administered. Good thing she had an appointment.

2022-05-04Silvia was amazing! Also the receptionist was nice and attentive. The doctor seemed caring. I wish that they would offer more like ct scan, ultrasound and things like that to avoid the hospital.
