Left my wedding ring here called the next morning for them to tell me there was nothing there. It was worth maybe $200 pawned off. But a super sentimental part of my life. Yes I can get a new ring but that doesnβt make up for the fact that it was the ring my husband proposed to me with. (Also 100% sure it was left here as I took it off and set it on the bathroom shelf and never put it back on)
Front desk was very accommodating to our needs, I didnβt like that the room wasnβt clean, there was debris on the floor, and visible dust on the countertops. The sheets also had Hair on them upon check in. Overall the location was great, and it was nice to have the kitchen to make our food.
Stay away go to motel 6 cheaper and same cust service. Homeless, Rude Staff the Man who is manager apparently is so ignorant and imature. Has no buiness running milllion dollar biz .. shame on owners for hiring and allowing this to happen π§π§π€¬π§π€¬π§π€¬π§π§π§π€¬beds are tiny fulls and they will agree with you about everything the site promises also pool is freezing tiny lap pool No Jacuzzi
This was my second time staying at Candlewood Suites Anaheim. I stayed for four nights. The studio suite was perfect for my needs. I like cooking my own meals and was able to walk to Safeway about a mile south then take an Uber back with my groceries. The walk to Disneyland is about 15 minutes so while not right across the street, its still very close. I am a Magic Key holder at Disney and will be returning several more times this year. I plan to stay at Candlewood Suites each time.
This hotel was beyond what I expected for the location and price per night. The staff overall were amazing! From the front desk to the housekeeping, everyone was very friendly, helpful and pleasant. We are looking forward to our next stay with you.Thank you for making this trip even better!
My husband and I stayed two nights at the candle wood in Anaheim and had a great stay. The room was clean, with great kitchen amenities, and a nice view. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom had a nice long countertops to put all of our stuff. We enjoyed the free coffee in the morning, before we headed out to the parks. We encountered one problem during our stay, but we call downstairs and they took care of it promptly. We will definitely stay there again.
The room had a comfortable bed and a very nice little kitchenette that included a full size fridge and even a dishwasher. The staff were super nice - check in was easy. The location is absolutely walking distance from Disneyland - may be a tougher walk for a small kid. Only gripe is that the towels were super scratchy and uncomfortable but everything else about this visit was really pleasant.
Great kitchen area and a good size bathroom. Staff was friendly and helpful. Housekeeping replenished towels daily, and the hotel was clean. Free laundry with multiple washers and dryerβs. All being helpful with our 10 day stay.. We felt safe at the hotel, security present 24/7 and needing a key to enter. Convenient garage parking with the security office present. Walking distance to Disney and reasonable drive to LA and other attractions. I gave 3 out of 5 stars for Queen beds would have more ideal in a suite, family of 4. Only Full size beds. Also being a suite, having 4 chairs at the kitchen area would have been nice. Or at least having the additional chairs to bring in when requested. The hotel did not have extra. The pool area was extremely small, but did have a grilling area with seating. This hotel is a great value as long as your expectations are not to stay at the hotel for pool or views. Great for value, safe and close to attractions.
Stayed here for Disneyland. Itβs a great location. Parking is a bit tricky as the garages are tight parking and hard to turn around. On Saturday night when we arrived the first garage was full and it was hard to turn around in. The other nights after were ok. We drove to the park and it was a short easy drive to the parking structure!
This hotel will reach above and beyond your expectations for a hotel in Orange County! We arrived for a trip at the Disneyland Resort and we booked this hotel without knowing what to expect, and left extremely satisfied. Would highly recommend this hotel to guests and families needing to find a great place to stay. Weβll be coming here every time we need to be back in Orange County!
We only stayed one night and it was ok. There was a lot of EXTRA smoking everywhere. Im not sure if people live there long term but it looked like it. Some yelling and slamming doors in the early morning hours. I liked the area because there are restaurants within walking distance and close to Disneyland. There are appliances to borrow by the front desk and there are items to purchase, snacks and drinks etc.
We thought we were getting a double queen room. We got a double full bed room. We were not offered an upgrade. It seemed the air conditioning was not running in the halls or the elevator. There was air conditioning in the room, thank goodness. The hall rugs needed cleaning. The used glass in the bathroom gave one pause. There just seemed to be an overall lack of attention to detail. My husband asked where he could refill his water bottle, and was told there was no water dispenser. Another employee told him to go to the second floor exercise room where he could refill. Overall impression: I would not stay here again.
The accommodations were good but not much for amenities. Within walking distance of Disneyland. We had 2 rooms across from each other for 5 nights. We also found good close by restaurants. It was nice with the kids to have the refrigerator so we could have breakfast in the room and then snacks in the afternoon or evening. We parked the car when we arrived and never had to use it until we left. The pool area was very lacking, very small and no hot tub.
CAR GOT BROKEN INTO, DO NOT STAY HERE. We stayed Sat to Mon and on Monday we were told we could park in their parking lot while we spent the day at Disneyland saving us the parking fee. We checked out and had the cars loaded. At 3pm hotel cameras captured a guy driving directly to my daughters car, getting out and smashing her window and taking her expensive luggage that had expensive designer clothes and shoes in them. Security guard was on duty when this happened. How did the thief know which car to bust into? Why was the guard conveniently not around? My theory is it was an inside job.As for the hotel itself. Run and run fast. No luggage dollyβs and the single elevator takes forever. Hallway carpets have numerous stains. Rooms smell bad (we rented 3 in our group and all smelled like rancid dirty water) We walked to 7-11 and felt very unsafe with all the homeless pan handlers. Just an overall terrible experience.
This is one of the better Candlewood hotels i have stayed in. I travel 300 days a year for work and always look for a Candlewood for our crew. The sales manager was very pleasant and accommodating. The rooms are very clean. my only complaint is the coffee machine in the lobby did not seem to work well and at times not at all. the other inconveniences we due to covid restrictions and for our own good. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
My family and I drove all night and arrived late to the Hotel. Right as I walked in I was greeted by a friendly Concierge agent and was quickly checked in to my room. Being an Elite Gold member I was offered a free snack and beverage. That made me feel welcomed knowing I had a snack after a long drive. Parking was easy to find. And we were a quick 15 minute walk from DisneyLand and California Adventures. We will definitely be booking out next stay with the Candlewood.
Positive: My first time at the hotel the room was a cute space set up and it was really nice having all the kitchen ware available in the room. Negative: I have hospitality and customer service experience. Upon my arrival I was not greeted nor asked about if I was a rewards member. I was very tired from a hard working week and enjoy to stay at hotels to relax from issues. The security deposit was an issue
Close enough to be near the Disney parks and restaurants. Guest room was clean! Loved that the kitchen was big enough. Initially we booked this room so our dog can come with us, but we decided to go without our pet. The room was clean and staff was so friendly. Thank you! We had a great stay!
We have no complaints about the staff, who helped us locate a pillow that we left behind and arranged for its shipping to our home. However, all throughout our stay we could not get an internet connection working in our hotel room. Even after calling so many times, all the staff could say was that they would have to reset the router, to no avail. When we requested for a change of towels, one towel given us had strands of hair. The cupboard was decent. The bed was very comfortable.
The hotel was nice and clean. Staff was friendly and answered my questions. I was not able to check in early but they did give me a parking pass so I could keep my car there while I went to the stroll the GardenWalk. It was close and convenient to be able to walk to Disneyland, the GardenWalk, and several nice local restaurants.
For how much this place cost per night, I was shocked with how disgusting it was. Seriously, the motel next door looked nicer than this place. The staff was rude, when I got off the elevator to my floor there was a dirty plunger wrapped in plastic that greeted me by sitting outside the maintenance room the entire 4 days I stayed there. The carpets were nasty and stained, the hotel hallways were smelly, and you could hear all the conversations of the next door neighbors. The room itself wasnβt bad actually, but the cleanliness of the outside hallways made me second guess how clean the room actually was. Donβt waste your money.
Stayed there one night to visit the parks. Easy walking distance to Disney entrance, inexpensive parking $6 each for 2 cars, security guard present and valet available once lot is full, hotel room was very clean with a nice well stocked kitchen (which we did not use but appreciate that there was an ice maker in the freezer), bathroom towels were nice and thick, front desk was able to accommodate early check in request (based on avail). Overall a great stay for my first time at this hotel chain.
When we first got to the hotel, we were a little bummed. The hotel did not look new (as stated on the website). However, our room was clean and quiet (we were on the 6th floor). The rooms were not as big as the description led them to be, but it was fine for us for just a few days. We were there for family, and ended up having to extend just a day. I was able to make a few meals so we did not have to eat out. I do have to say the COFFEE SUCKS - even if it is free. The worst part about the hotel. Take your own coffee maker and coffee if you are a coffee snob, iike us. Otherwise, the ladies who cleaned our room did a wonderful job (they even made friends with out kitty). I would recommend this hotel - it is walking distance to restaurants, Disneyland shuttle, etc.
I recently had surgery and needed a place to stay. I was able to book a 1 bedroom disabled suite at a great daily rate. Overall, the staff was very accommodating from allowing me to check in early to the security personnel offering to transport the luggage cart to my car. Given this is a high traffic resort area I had my doubts about my comfort level prior to my visit but I must say I had an excellent 11 day experience! Thank you IHG!
The hallways smelt like marijuana not good if kids are there we stayed there for a week front desk staff was often rude the morning security and the female security on the weekends was awesome both officers greeted us and was very professional and helpful need more security like them
The two star rating is being generous. This hotel was designed by someone who wanted to make it the most complicated for guests they could. We booked two rooms, double beds in each. There is no room on either side of bed to get around. The door to the bathrooms, when open, blocks the entire room. Its like staying in a very small box. This hotel is a bunch of tiny rooms with the hope no one is going to be in then too long. The hotel had no regular coffee in rooms only decaf. The coffee in the lobby coffee maker was thick as sludge. At check in, they put such a large charge on my credit card that I had to use a second credit card for 2nd room check in. Would not honor a request for military discount. Elevators were slow and small. Overall, just disappointing. This hotel is a box to sleep in after a long day at theme parks.
For the basic room with 1 bed, my partner and I were surprised with how much was included. There was a decent kitchen with all the essentials including a microwave. Our view from the room was amazing and it was surprisingly quite inside even with the fact it is located on a busy street with surrounding hotels.
Hotel needs updating, as do the rooms and furnishings. You can hear people in the hall and in the rooms next door (if you dont have TV or music on). Bed was a bit like a rock. Kitchen was great (although lacking much silverware). The room was very clean. I would stay again.
We had 3 rooms all together. Very comfortable (even if beds a little small), security in parking lot, walking distance to shops and restaurants, very friendly staff. Housekeeping was excellent; went out of their way to ask if we needed extra towels, etc. appreciated the hand sanitizers stations throughout hotel, near elevators, etc.
The staff was very considerate of my family from when we entered to when we left. We arrived late Friday, they had parking available. We needed to borrow scissors, and the cupboard downstairs had it. The beds were clean and comfortable. They had some games to borrow as well. They even worked with me for a late checkout.
This hotel is an excellent value, has professional and courteous staff, is close to Disneyland and provided a nice bed. Unfortunately I canβt recommend this hotel since it accepts pets and the rug in my room smelled like a mix of feces, dog hair, and synthetic-fragranced cleaner. If you donβt mind these smells then this hotel would be an excellent choice since everything else was very satisfactory.
The employees were polite over all the room was clean.. Maid service was prompt daily.. The only anything that I would recommend is that they throw away the recliner in the room as it is disgustingly dirty. Its unfortunate that 1 piece of furniture is allowed to stay in a room and it makes the whole room feel dingy and dirty.
Small beds the rooms donβt smell fresh a lot of touch up work on the restrooms more like patch work furniture needs to be replaced carpet needs a good cleaning the elevator sounds like it doesnβt want to work and are very dirty as well as the parking area garbage everywhere. I do not recommend this place until they get their act together.
Positive: Having a kitchenette is pretty great and the space in the fridge is awesome for bringing your own food Negative: The parking is a little scary, feels like your car will be broken into at any moment. Three men running in and out of the the exit hall. And the ac was really loud.
Worst stay in my life I usually spend Christmas vacation in hotels this poor hotel they never clean the room, they mistreat people the security lady said bad words with disrespect for me and my kids they are not a kid friendly hotel. I asked for renewal and they started talking bad to us. Donβt go there it is not worse the money I moved to cambria hotel just in front of it and they knew how to treat people with respect. You smell smoke in the hotel which is not suitable for kids
Please be cautious with reviews, as they are not always accurate, and I like to read them to get a sense of where Ill be staying. Well, upon entering the hotel, its extremely nice, but once you get to the floors, it feels unsafe because people are smoking down the hallways going from room to room, and you can smell nothing but smoke and trash cans because they leave trash outside the door and it appears that housekeeping does not pick it up right away, and it sits there for days. The floors are dirty, and the rooms smells like dog urine. Id give it a zero, but it wont let me. I I checked out right away. Thats why its cheap
Im extremely satisfied with this hotel. Staff was very helpful and efficient in handling any complaints or needs I had during my stay. Room was clean, linen was fresh and provided daily if needed. Location a block or so from Disney, restaurants, and convenience stores. My only complaint was the noise at times and seeing a couple of roaches. Overall, i would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Id absolutely come back to Candlewood Suites again. I extended my stay here because it was comfortable, affordable, and accessible to many shops and restaurants. The staff were professional and I always saw someone cleaning or housekeeping. For the price, the room with the kitchenette and nice size bathroom was completely worth it. For what I payed to stay here, I would have payed much more at some other comparable places. It was a steal!
The Candlewood Suite Anaheim provides a good value, a clean property, the ultimate in comfortable beds and amenities, and staff friendliness, knowledge and ability. I have been a frequent guest over the past year and although the COVID situation has unfortunately created a decline in the family-oriented caliber of some of the guests, the hotel staff and management have done their best to ensure a comfortable, clean and quiet property that consistently meets or exceeds expectations, There are some issues that may be attributable to the pandemic, such as overcrowding and lack of parking on weekends, people who are not disabled using disabled parking so it is not available to those who legally and physically need it, smoking, and cleanliness of the parking lot, but overall there is security and I know the team is trying their best. Hopefully when the Disney park reopens things will settle down a bit. Otherwise, I want to personally thank the front desk staff, cleaning staff, assistant management and maintenance staff for all they do.
I dont often write reviews, but Ive been staying here for the past 5 weeks and the front desk Supervisor Miguel has been awesome. As a previous manager for large government contracts, I know how important customer service is for a business. Miguel genuinely cares about his guests, and even though Im just another person in a large hotel, Miguel knows me by name and takes the time to chat and make me feel at home. The rooms here are always clean, and the daily cleaning service is limited right now due to covid, but the staff is quick to help with any needs I have. I have 3 more weeks here, and even though there are plenty of other options here in Anaheim, Candlewood has met all my expectations. Thanks Miguel for your awesome customer service, you set the standard for what a front end supervisor should be. Keep up the hard work! - David M
Very nice hotel with kitchen, near to Disneyland. You can walk to it, but i ll not suggest the same as in evening its very tiring to come back to hotel after waiting for your turn and standing in a queue for almost all rides. It has nice pool, very friendly staff. It was very clean.
For the price, this was great, i felt safe on the walk to and from disney, the room was clean, the security guard in the parking garage was polite and helpful, the front desk men/women were friendly and helpful . . . i look for a clean and safe hotel when we travel, all we do is sleep and shower when we visit anaheim! I sometimes use the gym but did not get a chance this visit and it had reduced hours because of covid.
This place was close to Disneyland but sketchy and gross. The room was ok but common areas were disgusting. Drug dealing and partying in the garage in plain view of security. Laundry was disgusting with an awful rotten smell. Beds were advertised as queen beds but were double beds. Would not recommend this place.
We arrived early and went to check in. Theybwere friendly and ablento get us into a room early. They greeted me as a platinum rewards member and gave my daughter and me drinks from the store. The staff was friendly and helpfulnl for our 10 day stay. The hotel is clean due to the friendly and hard working maid staff. I could not be more happy with my stay here and would highly reccomend to anyone. Well within walking distance to disneyland although there is a pay shuttle that picks up in front of the hotel. It is in a great location with the gardenwalk a few blocks away. Overall, a great stay.
The idea of having a kitchen is nice however when itβs stainless steel pans itβs awful. Ventilation is awful so the hotel smells. Thin walls you can hear everything in the hallways . Iβll choose to stay with Airbnb if i need a kitchen. At least they provide basics like oil to cook with . The bathrooms are largely too big for the room, it took up half the space I swear .
Ive stayed here before and its always been OK. This time was frustrating because they now place a hold on your account for $100 dollars instead of $50! I think thats outrageous and Ive never heard a hotel with that large of a deposit. They have the credit card if there are damages so Im not sure why this policy changed. But the mistakes of another should NOT be taken out on all future customers! The front desk clerk, while very nice, was so soft spoken I had to ask her to repeat herself several times.I have on my stay notes to put me in a quite room on the highest floor. I was on the 8th floor but apparently Godzilla was in the room above me because the stomping kept me awake most of the night. There was also no lotion for toiletries. I stay at IHG hotels several times a month and lotion is a staple toiletry provided at every hotel. The USB plug on the alarm clock did not work (so they are providing it as a way for you to plug something in because they are taking the only nearby outlet with the clock, but it didnt work).Other than these concerns, it is a good hotel for maybe one or two nights. I would not recommend more than that. The bed is nice
The rooms were spacious enough and a little outdated and worn down, but the rest of the hotel was very run down and not the cleanest. Additionally, there was a lot of crime in the area, but luckily they had a security guard overseeing the parking lot. The workout room was decently equipped.
Amazing attention to detail and every comfort is thought up and delivered here at the Candlewood. Visited friend who had 1 bedroom suite and couldnt believe how adorable and stylish it was and floored when they told me the great deal they got on it. If you are in market for an extended stay hotel that isnt extended stay and youre willing to spend a good amount in order to have high quality amenities, spacious layout and lux design. Recommended highly.
Candlewood Suites in Anaheim was a lovely place for a family stay near the Disney parks. We were able to bring our small dogs (if you want to bring your pets please call and check that their size and breed are accepted before you book.) We loved the kitchenette because it had a full-sized refrigerator, freezer, cupboards, stove, dishwasher, microwave, and sink with disposal. Even some basic utensils and dishes were provided. So basically we were able to prepare decent meals in the hotel room, almost as if we were home. I had brought several cans of soups and had no problem preparing those on the stove each day. It was nice not to have to spend a ton of money eating every meal at the expensive tourist restaurants in the area. The rooms were pretty quiet and well soundproofed and the staff was friendly and nice. Overall a really nice hotel, we felt a restful and calming vibe while there, which was a good contrast to all the crazy stimulation of the theme parks. It was a pleasant, comfortable place to stay. We would definitely love to stay there again.
Such a wonderful time. Room was very clean. It was quiet. People at front desk were helpful. Great price for such a nice place. Walk to Disneyland was 20 minutes. It was a safe walk but tiring at night after going to parks. Had enclose parking but garage had very tight spots. Pool nice. It is small because it is the size of a lap pool. Nice area to sit and watch the kids swim. Had grills and a TV lounge area. Would come back again if in the area again.
This is my second time staying at this hotel and I am still very pleased. Check in is quick and easy. Do note that they now have a two hundred dollar security deposit per room policy. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. The little convenience store has good snacks and some everyday food selection. The beds and pillows... I cant say enough about the beds and pillows. I wish I could take them home with me. We will definitely be staying again.
I wanted to love this hotel, based on everything I read online. However we had a few issues that made our stay less than perfect. The good - the room was spacious. Having a kitchen was nice. The bathroom was great. The staff was friendly. Check-in and out were both easy and efficient. Having the Candlewood Cupboard was super convenient. And the location was perfect. An easy walk or ART ride to Disneyland. Easy walk to restaurants and shops in the area. On the downside, we had some issues with cleanliness, noise, and the sofa bed. Unfortunately it could not be used, so one in our party of 3 had to curl up and sleep on the sofa itself instead of the bed.
Very convenient hotel for Disneyland guests. ART shuttle service with pickup right in front of hotel every 20-30 minutes. Short ride to Disneyland with only 3 stops total. Enjoyed having kitchen with dishes, full-size fridge/freezer and microwave, but wish toaster ovens were also available. Room was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed having DirecTV service. Bathrooms very modern/clean and great to have shelves for placing toiletries. Also enjoyed the Watkins products provided (handsoap, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner). Had a good sleep, but wish pillows were more comfortable. A more plush mattress topper may have helped as well. Great hotel and will definitely stay again.
All around great experience! Check-in was fast and easy. The staff was friendly. The rooms are comfortable (we had 2 full beds) and have a nice kitchenette stocked with dishware and small appliances. The bathroom was nice and a decent size. There is a desk area. The beds are incredibly comfortable!!! It was very clean and quiet. The little store was a nice bonus. ART stops right out front with service to Disneyland. Overall great stay, well be back.
I wasnβt greeted at check in as I usually am as an spire member, I was offered by welcome amenity points, the day I checked out I asked them about it and they said I would receive them after I checked out as of today Feb. 9 2021, I have yet to receive them. I had 3 rooms that evening and they required me to pay $600 security deposit. I asked them if they can make an exception and they refused to accommodate. I have traveled and stayed at plenty of IHG properties and they have accommodated me regarding the amount on the security deposit so I know it can be done. I will never return to this property again. And I am still waiting on my welcoming points. The gentleman at the desk was rude!!
Clean rooms, loved the kitchen amenities which include full fridge/freezer (ice box doesnt work in our room but you can get ice from the main lounge area downstairs) flat top stove, dishwasher & 6 full dish & cutlery sets. Bathroom was also clean which is huge for me.The one downside I do have to this location is their laundry room. I had a couple of loads to wash for myself and my two friends, yet it seemed every time I went to the laundry amenities there were never any washers open. Upon further inspection this was due to the fact that only 2/5 washers were in working order. When I finally got to use a washing machine it smelled horrible like mildew!! I did a quick 10-min rinse cycle with bleach but it didnt help! Do not recommend doing your laundry here, unfortunately theres no laundromat super close by so expect a bit of a trip if you need to do laundry in this area.Other than that, I was highly satisfied with this clean, peaceful, and spacious hotel. Staff was kind & patient, allowing us extra time to figure out if we wanted to stay an extra day or two without overcharging us.
I was on a business trip and was planning to stay here for 3 weeks. I only stayed one night. I moved to another hotel brand.Pros...Room was nice. I had a kitchen with a stovetop (no oven). Full size fridge and microwave. I would have give 1 star but the staff was just so nice and helpful.Cons....the hallways smell like cigarette smoke and the stairwell smelled like urine and waste. The other hotel guests are loud and are not the type of crowd I would want to live around. I couldnt fathom walking down this hallway for 3 weeks. The carpets throughout need to be changed.
This was our second time staying at Candlewood Suites Anaheim in one year. The staff here is very kind and welcoming! They were very genuine and so nice to us.This place is about a mile to Disneyland. The ART shuttle stops in front of the property, but found ART to be a bit unreliable, always seemed to be waiting for the shuttle. Daily parking is an additional fee at the hotel. The one bedroom suite is the best! Having a separate bedroom with a closed door is really helpful for noise and privacy. The room and bathroom were very clean. Having a kitchen in the suite was super convenient! Loved the full sized refrigerator and the ice maker in the freezer. One of the best parts of the hotel was the front desk staff, especially the young man who works the late/overnight shift on the weekends - he is awesome!
What a lovely hotel this is! Checked in for a βgirls weekβ at Disneyland. We arrived before the room was ready but we were able to stash our bags and go to the park. It was within walking distance of the park but a bus is available right outside of the hotel. Clean room and comfortable bed. Full sized fridge, dishwasher and mini stove to accommodate dietary needs. There was a pool, gym and laundry facilities available, but we didnβt use them. Watch out for the $100 deposit to use the βpantryβ. Itβs not mentioned on the website that I used to book the room. Overall a great stay, and I be back.
It is a nice place to stay. The staff are all courteous and make you feel welcome. Clean rooms, free laundry, and easy parking with direct access to the elevators leading to all rooms. Security in the parking garage so you feel safe while going to your car. Very nice place. We will be back again.
Positive: There was a press on nail and hair on the bathroom counter when we arrived. It was very late and we didnΓΒΏt want to switch rooms because we were so tired. I expect that any room I go into does not have items like this on the counter where we get cleaned Negative: Bathroom could have been cleaned.
Overall excellent experience. Not much further from Disneyland than another hotel where we usually stay. The staff were nice, the room clean. Loved the kitchen setup with everything needed-we werent prepared for that marvelous surprise-but will certainly be at our next visit.Had the best price available for our time frame, too. Highly recommend.
With the amount of hotels near Disneyland Iβm not sure I would rush back to this one. Our room was nice enough but had a smell. The bed was comfy. It was clean. The staff at check in were great. This was our first time to Disneyland. When we asked about the shuttle on our way out the girl at the desk told us to go stand outside where some other people were and we could pay for our passes on the bus. On the bus we were told we needed to purchase our passes from the hotel. We ended up going into the Motel next door where the very helpful front desk person sold us passes and told us what bus number we needed to be on to get to and from Disneyland.
This hotel is perfectly priced, we got the queen suite, much cheaper than other hotels and we even got a kitchen, the elevator may be slow, but nothing is scary about this neighborhood, its walking distance from Disneyland and a short drive to Knotts, the staff was very friendly and helpful with all requests, just note to use the stovetop turn on the wall timer in kitchen
Hotel was convenient and very clean. They were accommodating to our constant last minute changes. I do wish we had known that the shuttle bus to and from Disney was an extra charge because it wasnβt advertised that way, but we enjoy walking so it wasnβt that big of a deal. I do wish however the staff had been able to assist us when our car battery died, Iβve never heard of employees not being able to assist in jumping a car especially when we had cables and knew how... other than that the room was great and there was a lot provided to make your stay nice especially for the price.
Hope to stay here again. Check-in and check-out were the fastest and easiest Ive experienced. The hotel is in great shape, the room was clean and comfortable. Having the kitchenette was nice and having the desk area was a plus. The bathroom was very nice. I havent slept that good in a hotel in a while. The beds were super comfortable and the room was quiet. We used the little store downstairs and I thought it had a good variety of food staples. The art shuttle stops right in front of the hotel and takes you to the Disneyland drop off. Great interaction with the staff. Overall, we had a fantastic day and hope to stay again.
Very pleased with every aspect of this hotel. The suite included a kitchen that was very useful. The beds were super comfortable with an abundance of pillows. The shuttle to Disneyland is steps away from the front entrance and the front desk was very helpful in getting us passes and pickup times. I would highly recommend this hotel.
When we check-in the Assistant Manager was very helpful and made the process seamless. Provided the room that met my expectations. Offered a couple of options for dinner that evening. The room was clean, well lit and clean. The Internet speeds was very good, good enough to watch movies and browse the Internet. Perfect for a visit during our Disneyland Magically experience.
Went to Disneyland for Christmas and decided to try a Candlewood Suites location for the first time. Now I feel like I cant go back to a regular hotel room. If you are there to go to Disneyland, which you probably are, they offer discounted tickets from the hotel. We saved a lot of money cooking in the room and had everything we needed there to make our meals. It only took us about 15 minutes to walk to Disney, and when we got hungry we walked to the store. I didnt drive once during my stay because everything is there. The staff is extremely friendly and everything is clean and well maintained. There are full size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash bottles in the shower. The amenities look really nice, however I did not use them personally because I was at Disney.
I didnβt really interact with the staff, except for check in/out. But they were nice and efficient. The rooms were clean, not big, but was what we needed. The beds were comfy and we slept like babies because the rooms were so quiet. I have stayed at many hotels around Disneyland and this is the first one I will return too. Great job Candlewood! We loved our stay!
Room itself was pretty clean, nice front desk staff. But old looking hotel needs updates, reeks of cigarette smoke, even tho the rooms are non smoking. No guests wearing masks, nothing inforced. Lots of people just hanging out in the parking lots next to the cars all hours if the night. Not worth the price
I very rarely rate anything a five-star however this hotel deserves it. It is an excellent place to stay. It is convenient to Disneyland, The price is good. They have a convenient area downstairs where you can buy snacks and drinks and beer and sun dries and laundry soap etc. Speaking of laundry, they have plenty of machines up on the second floor for you to do your laundry. Free of charge. Since this hotel is All Suites, they come with a refrigerator, some have a stove and a dishwasher. And they give you dishes and silverware. We were very happy with the cleanliness of the bedroom and the bathroom. I cant say enough about this place
Iβm in the process of moving and hotel was a great to stay while Iβm in transition. The hotel is clean and pretty quiet at night. I enjoyed using the pool during my assigned time (per COVID guidelines) especially since weβre in a heat wave. I like the room itβs big enough to cook comfortably and relax. Iβve enjoyed my stay here.
Nice updated basic hotel. My room was a single Queen suite, nicely appointed, enjoyed the layout etc. the amenities are sparse, as with all hotels in the area, although they do offer free parking and I believe. The bed was comfortable, although I wouldnt call it luxurious. Overall I think it would be a great value hotel for a family or couple staying near Disney. The full kitchen was a big plus, even just for me. The room size was appropriate as well, the bathroom was spacious. I was also able to work easily on the desk in the room on my laptop and spread out my suitcase. Overall I would recommend if you can stay for under $140/night! Anything over that you may be disappointed with the value. (I stayed on off nights and paid $75/night. Feel like I got a great bargain) I will say, it is NOT a realistic walk to the Parks, although you can easily walk to the Toy story lot and catch the free bus, its less than a half mile.
Overall really enjoyed my stay here. The room was larger than I expected, had a full kitchen with dishes and cookware, the bathroom was very spacious, and the bed was comfortable. I never heard anyone from the neighboring rooms, but because the hotel is right next the the freeway, we frequently heard sirens from emergency vehicle passing by. Earplugs helped with this. The room was ran and staff was polite and helpful. 10/10
The room itself looked very clean, so did the bathroom. The hotel had a weird smell when we walked in and it was very hot inside. When we opened the door to our hotel room we were hit with a smell of old stale urine. It was kind of off-putting but we dealt with it as we were only there for a night.
The team at Candlewood Suites, including Eric, Freddy, Ayde, Jafet, Leroy, et al, as well as the very friendly and flexible Housekeeping staff made my extended stay quite memorable. I stayed here because of its proximity to my workplace while I tried to relocate from the LA area.I had my dog with me and the staff was very accommodating and flexible when it came to specific times theyd be able to service the room. My dog became fast friends with the staff and anyone in the lobby at any given time. The Popcorn was his favorite special treat. I came to enjoy seeing the same staff regularly and truly missed them when I had to check out. Eric was very helpful each week when I had to extend. Loved having a gym, laundry and coffee available. I was only able to use the pool facilities in my last weeks there but was very convenient, although would have been nice to have it accessible past 10pm.
The pros of this hotel are :Its in a great location. My kids and I were able to walk to Disneyland no problem and its close to Garden Walk and as well. The rooms were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. The staff was very friendly, respectful and helpful. If we needed anything they were quick to help and provide us with any items, such as towels and dishwasher detergent. The cons are:The room did have some areas that werent cleaned well. The bathtub amd shower walls were grimy and the bathroom vent was moldy. I had bleach cleansing wipes I brought with me and used those to wipe down the tub and shower walls. The bathroom towels and some of the pool towels had long black hairs on them. We had a lint roller that we used on the towels. There were noticeable stains on the couch cusions and pillows as well.
Being an IHS Rewards Club Member gained me access to an astonishing daily room rate far lower than its nearby competitors as advertised online. The building itself was designed securely, unlike neighboring properties whose unit doors were exposed directly to the public outside. I would have appreciated the parking levels to be fully connected (as the first floor parking is separate from the rest of the ascending floors). The room itself was exactly as advertised and the full refrigerator and kitchenette were equipped accurately to provide the home away from home experience. The beds, bathroom, tv, and thermostat were in good condition and easy to use. We unplugged the alarm clock to accommodate outlets for both our respective smart phone chargers. The stovetop was inoperable and our hotel cards deactivated before our late checkout time but those were minor inconveniences compared to the overall quality and value of our stay.
As I was not familiar with the area, it was, initially, difficult to access. Upon check-in, the concierge staff were polite and accommodating. I was put off by having to pay for parking. The room was clean and the mattresses were protected with a mattress cover. The kitchenette was clean and free of debris from previous guests and was stocked with the essentials needed to complete cooking. The bed and pillows were comfortable. There is no in-suite safe - I wish they offered this. The wifi service was slow, but sufficient enough. Our room faced the interstate and I thought the noise would be bothersome, but it didnt - the room was quiet. Great view, we were able to watch the nightly fireworks at Disneyland.
We were very surprised by the great experience! I had read reviews from 2017 that made me very nervous about staying here. But, it was all good! The grounds and common areas were clean, the room spacious and clean, super comfy bed and linens. Glad to have a nice kitchen with an ice maker! Adriana at the front desk was a great help with many suggestions. Limited parking, but complimentary valet available when the property was fully committed; a great help. Will definitely consider staying here next visit to the parks
The room wasnβt accessible as reserved when booked. Housekeeping was lacking. Two days I had to call to get the room cleaned, and then they only made the bed, put new towels and emptied the garbage. No cleaning the bathroom or wiping tables and no cleaning the floor. The room had to be changed 3 times to finally get what was reserved. They should charge $10-$15 more and have housekeeping clean the entire room each day. That would of made the trip much nicer and I would always book this hotel. Just taking out garbage, making bed and new towels wasnβt enough. Also housekeepers donβt do anything asked. They tell you yes and nothing gets done.
To be completely honest, the GREAT staff is what made the location from a 1 star to a 3 star.Being close to the Disney Resorts and the Attractions, and being that it is Anaheim, you would think the place would be Immaculate!!!Man...Anaheim has changed DRASTICALLY since I left SoCal in Feb of 19.Even through there was a roaming security guard, still didnt feel so safe there. The parking lots smelled like urine and god knows what else.Didnt feel to safe, with my young kids there. Even for the night.Like I mentioned, the staff were AMAZING!!! However the actual location, could use some improvement.
We had checked into a very shady motel, booked on this site as well, and immediately checked out. At 11:15pm we were able to book the Candlewood Suites. As soon as we drove up to the establishment we could feel a sense of relief and security. The young woman at the front desk was very pleasant. We only had received a one bed reservation, she knew I was with my son and quickly accommodated us with two beds. The room was nice and clean, with a full kitchen included. The hotel was quiet in the morning; which allowed us to sleep in. At check out, we received the same pleasant service as the night before. We will definitely stay there again! Thank you,
Nice hotel. One staff member is the devil. Purposely didnt return my deposit and when I went in 2 days later to inquire about it she lied to me saying it was already released but my bank confirmed it was never released until that day I went in to inquire about it. It took over 10 days to get my deposit back which resulted in an me (being pregnant btw) having to sleep in my car for a night because I didnt have the money to check into somewhere else for three time bring. Very upsetting
Family of 4 arrived in the early morning hours to outstanding customer service from a helpful front desk attendant! She was friendly and helpful. The room was perfect! The room temp was just right, the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The blackout curtain was so helpful as my kids went off to Disneyland so I could sleep. Grateful to a wonderful cleaning staff that respected the do not disturb sign and came back much later to clean. I would definitely choose to stay here again!
For a hotel next to Disneyland I was expecting a more family friendly experience here. The cons: The hallways smelled of cannabis, the clothes we washed in the laundry facility smelled horrible after a cycle, and the energy savings outlets makes it impossible to charge your phone. This is the only candlewood that I know of that charges a whopping $17.50 a day for parking, with no free parking option. The only pro is that the rooms are cleaned very well and function properly. Overall, if you are planning to bring children here I would not recommend. Other hotels in the area are cheaper and overall better.
The carpet was filthy with gooey stains that I would not dare a person to step around barefoot. Otherwise, there was no lotion. But all other amenities were OK. In a price bind, this place is an acceptable option for a night or two, otherwise definitely go somewhere else.
More comfortable than my bed at home plus it got made daily. The ac and heater worked great. You could set the room at any temperature you wanted. The kitchenette was a great way to save money on food because you didnβt have to buy so much at the park. Only problem was that the bathroom door didnβt lock.
We stayed here for 3 nights on our recent trip to California. We were on the second floor right above the front desk. It was very easy to get in and out. The room was HUGE and had a bunk bed too boot! No need for one of the kids to sleep on the pull out couch (which are usually quite uncomfortable). The facilities were all well kept and the staff was very friendly and always available. It was also walking distance to Disneyland (not super short but doable). The walk there was easy... the walk back after logging lots of miles at DL was a little long, but again doable for the savings for sure!Overall loved the hotel!
I had an amazing experience at this hotel. From the time I got there I was greeted by security and employees at the front desk. I had checked in early and the room was ready before 10 oβclock. The room was super clean. There is a full fridge stove and dishwasher with sink area. The bathroom comes with all necessities needed including shampoo conditioner and body wash. We were provided with more than enough towels as well as an iron, blow dryer, and laundry basket to use. Parking was attached to the building which was really convenient as we had to come and go for meals. Transportation Was only five dollars a person for all day unlimited rides back and forth to the park Disneyland
The hotel was perfectly suited to our needs and a really good value for what we paid. The free laundry facilities are great. The rooms were very clean and you can never go wrong having a second bathroom when travelling with others. A bit far to walk to the parks if you have any sort of mobility issues or are older but the average Uber cost was US$6 to the drop off lot on Harbor.
At the front desk everything ran smoothly except when the female staff member handed my credit card and drivers license to my boyfriend. I didnβt appreciate that from the staff worker because Iβm the one paying and my name is clearly on the card so give it to the correct person next time. The room is so comfortable and homey for a decent price. We loved the bed but we were so grossed out by the blood left from prior guest and the blankets were torn. We didnβt complain or bring it up to the front desk because we didnβt want it to ruin our trip or mood. If hotels have holds on deposits for $100 then they should use peopleβs money to get this taken care of because it is not right for other guest to endure.
The rooms were clean and smoke free. The room we booked was through Airbnb which as a result you paid half of the per night parking fee. The pool is outdoors and heated. It is within walking distance to Disney about 15-20 minutes not sure how long with smaller children. They offer a shuttle to Disneyland for $6.00 round trip. But for us, it was $24.00 for the shuttle or pay $25.00 to park. We chose to park at disney. The rooms had Zero signs of bed bugs (trust me we do a thorough check). The room we had came equipped with a cook top, microwave, place settings, and toaster and coffee maker. They have a lending locker yo use other items. The place is a must stay if going to Disneyland.
We have stayed at this Candlewood many times because of the great value and close proximity to Disneyland. The front desk staff are very accommodating and helpful. The hotel is clean, quiet and only about 1 mile walking distance to Disneyland. The only bummer is that now they are charging for parking and that was one of the reasons I loved this property. Overall, this is a great choice when going to the park and we will continue to come here because of the excellent staff and well cared for facility.
We stayed 2 nights and it was a great experience. The hotel room was very clean. We absolutely loved the kitchen. We were able to save money and make meals to take to Disneyland. It only took us 15 to 20 minutes to walk to Disneyland. The second night the air conditioning did not work, but the front desk was extremely accommodating. All the staff was friendly. We would definitely stay again.
Best service ever. The hotel front desk street upgraded us to a suite with 4 beds and 2 bathrooms to accommodate us plus our three college age children and our small dog. Our checkout experience was just as amazing. The hotel was clean, quiet and nearby Disneyland.
Nothing too great or too bad, its a good place to crash after Disneyland walking. This hotel was clean and nice for the price. The kitchens were good with a full sized fridge.Only compliant was the city shuttle schedule, it never came when it said and we waited at least 30 minutes everytime. And Disneyland isnt crazy close so Im not sure walking would been about the same time, so either wait ir waste precious feet milage. I understand thats out of the hotels control, just a warning for future hotel stays. We had someone smoking on our floor but the hotel staff responded quickly and fixed it, since it is a non-smoking hotel.
The Candlewood was a nice place to stay and I hated to leave. The grounds have around the clock security so I always felt safe when walking my dog even when she needed to go out at 3am. Its not the best place for dogs when you need to take them out to potty they dont have an area really for them but they are pet friendly. Also if you smoke youll need to completely leave the building including the car port. Parking isnt free and you need to make sure to hang your parking permit or youll get towed. Over all I enjoyed my stay and I will be back next time I need to stay at a hotel in this area.
Pool was closed And they failed to let us know before we booked. Failed to let us know about the deposit. The Front desk staff was rude and had an attitude. Elevators and garage smelled like piss. It was hard to get more towels.A few good things: FREE COFFEE!!!!Kitchen in the room with oven and cooking pots! Large refrigerator! The beds were so comfy and the pillows so comfortable.
Just stayed here one night while visit Disneyland. Room was great, comfortable bed, etc. One disappointing aspect was that I requested welcome points upon check in, but have yet to have those points to my account. I know its a very small amount of points, but I find it annoying since I requested it at check in. The parking garage had a strong urine smell as well, which was not pleasant. Otherwise, a good hotel worth consideration if youre in the area.
Our 5 night stay was a good bargain for our family of 3. Having the separate bedroom was helpful. It took us 15 mins to walk to Disneyland gates with our toddler in the stroller. The ART bus does pick up and drop off right in front of the hotel. Hotel is clean, quiet interior. Parking was tight but available and freeway noise loud but unpreventable. Would return.
I was in town for a week long work trip and this Candlewood checked off a lot of boxes as far as location and pricing went for my companys needs. Yes, I did realize this was near Disneyland and was marketed as such so I knew that going in. My room was surrounded by many rooms with families and very small children. At one point all three rooms in our little section of the hallway had at least one child screaming and crying. Luckily, once you moved way from the door/walls you couldnt hear it as much but that was still distracting. And yes again, I know that wasnt unreasonable but after a long day, it could still get irritating.I did expect the property to be a little bit nicer from review photos and the hotel photos I saw before booking. It wasnt bad but it wasnt as nice as I expected. I wonder if the building is a bit on the older side? But again, it wasnt anything egregious things were clean and I had the amenities I needed but still worth noting. I liked my room a lot, it was very clean and homey. I also had everything I needed for my week long stay and everything in the kitchen was functioning properly. The staff was fantastic! Super helpful, personable, and friendly. I really enjoyed every single interaction with them from front desk workers, parking attendants, housekeeping, etc. ******** I did not see any mention of the parking fee that the hotel accesses to any vehicle staying on the property. I may have missed it as I was looking through a number of options when booking but just be warned - there is a fee!!!! It isnt crazy but there is still a fee. I also had wished there was more of a lobby area, I like to get out of my room to work sometimes when I need a change of scenery and there really wasnt that option. So if thats important to you, heads up there. All and all I had a good and successful trip and would be happy to return in the future. My biggest piece of advice is if traveling for work or wanting to stay away from younger children take that into consideration when booking just so you have clear expectations going into it.
One of the best hotels Iβve ever stayed at and at a reasonable price! The room was clean, included a full kitchen with utensils and everything you could possibly need, standard bathroom with the basics, and a comfortable bed. The staff was so kind and accommodating. Definitely a great choice for family vacations and business trips. I will be coming back and recommending this place to my friends and family!
This hotel is so conveniently located to Disneyland and the highway. The staff was friendly and prompt. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel and tickets are available for purchase by the staff. Parking is pricey but comparable to other resort hotels and is very easily accessible. The rooms are updated and clean. Internet is super fast! I got >45Mbps while there. The kitchenette is small but has everything youd need. Probably the only complaint Id have was the people above us were quite noisy late at night even though there are posted quiet hours. Obviously your experience will vary.
So clean! Staff are always polite and professional! Location is convenient when visiting Disneyland. And with a full fridge and mini kitchen, whats not to love?! I wish they had more parking, but the location doesnt allow for it. They do handle it quite well when their lots fill up.
Gum on the floor in the hotel room. Room was by the stairwell so I heard the door opening and slamming shut all night. Loud music started playing somewhere upstairs around 1:00am and went on for awhile. Woke up to find a note on my car that the hotel was going to tow it, even though the parking pass that they front desk gave me was clearly visible on my dashboard. Tried to call and extend my stay, spoke to someone named Miguel who clearly HATES his job and told me to call back in the morning and do it because βmaybe Iβll get a better priceβ. I said βIβm going to be to busy in the morning, so Iβm telling you now I want to extend my stayβ. Miguel was very rude and short with me, not very re-assuring. One of the worst hotels Iβve been to.
My family stayed for a week during the summer. Our room was spacious, and the kitchen was a plus. There is limited parking for a fee per day, we often had to valet. Location is very close to Disneyland which was nice. The pool is even smaller than the pictures appear.
What made this hotel great was the extremely accommodating management and staff. Our family got sick and needed to postpone our trip. The manager changed our dates without a problem (something IHG wouldnt do). They were also really responsive for other needs--holding a rental stroller for us, delivering extra bedding and a crib. And the room and the hotel were clean and comfortable, with new furniture, beds, and kitchen accessories. And we could see the Disneyland fireworks from our 4th floor window (north facing)! We took the bus sometimes, but actually walked the 1-mile to the parks more often. Great hotel and location.
Pretty good hotel. stayed four days to go to Disneyland. Art stop was right on the street next to the hotel and parking was provided. There is a pool but fairly small. The porch of the pool had grills though which are nice. Also had a kitchenette in the suite so can make your own food before going in the park or after. Overall great service. We had five people in the room so had gotten additional towels l, but housekeeping would not replenish. Had to ask for more every time. Mild inconvenience, but was ok.
The hotel is a short walk to the park, about a 25 minute walk and it is very safe. The rooms are clean and the staff is helpful and friendly. They do offer a shuttle bus to the park for a small fee. The daily parking (covered parking) is less expensive then daily parking at Disneyland. There are many places to eat close by from fast-food to sit down restaurants.
My first time staying at Candlewood Suites. The room was perfect from cleanliness to the kitchenette. Loved having the kitchenette. Room was nice and quiet. The bed was comfortable. We got really great sleep here. Also being able to do your laundry is a plus. All the staff we encountered were super friendly. Will only be booking Candlewood Suites from now on. Hopefully all of them are as great as this one!
Rooms were very clean and neat. Amenities, plates, cooking utensils, cable tv, room layout everything that was expected and nore was met. The inly issue i had was our blanket was stolen from the laundry room and i know is posted that the hotel is not responsible however, a key is need to access the laundry room and i contacted the front desk over the phone and face to face but, no one ever got back to me regarding the issue..:( it was a Christmas present
The rooms are clean, beds comfy. The bathroom could use a fan for steam control and the towels are a bit on the ruff side but all in all it was nice to actually have a bathroom with good lighting. I liked that there was a full length mirror on the wall. The free washer and dryer was nice but instructions on how to use the washer would of been helpful. Iβd never seen the wash options on the washer before and had to guess on how to use it. The pool looked nice wish there would of been a hot tub as well. However during my stay it was raining a lot and I didnβt use the pool.
Overall its good value and great proximity to Disneyland but be warned that if any of the following are important to you, it might not be your cup of tea so to speak. The tap water is very hard and tastes bad producing scum in anything boiled like tea/coffee. The dishwasher left all the dishes dirty so we had to hand wash. The bed is too soft for anyone that uses a firm mattress at home - your back will let you know the next day. They didnt replenish tea bags or popcorn daily. I was at a far end of the hotel so the wireless was almost useless. They have some energy conserving motion detectors that switch off outlets so your electronics wont charge while youre out and if you rely on a medical device for your sleep it will turn off in the middle of the night if no motion is detected. Otherwise the hotel was clean and comfortable but the towels not so much probably again due to the hard water. We found ourselves bringing full water bottles back from Disneyland which tasted as water should.
We stayed here 3 nights while hitting Disneyland. This property is within 1 mile from Disneyland front gates and the Convention Center. Staff was friendly, room was clean and comfortable. The cupboard set-up is pretty slick, made it easy to do some meals in our room to save money. The parking is also easy compared to some of the other hotels in the area.I would recommend this property to anyone doing a trip in the area.
We were visiting Disneyland parks and stayed at Candlewood Suites for a week in Feb 2020. The location worked out just perfect for us. The front desk staff was friendly and professional. The room we were put in was clean and tidy. Beds were bit too soft for us. All other general amenities were up to the standards.
Candlewood Suites Anaheim is a great location for many attractions in and around Anaheim. It is conveniently located for easy access to freeways and a short drive to Angel Stadium as well as the Honda center. Disneyland and CA Adventure are a pleasant walk of less than a mile and Garden walk is even closer. Guest Service is awesome, very friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice and clean with a full sized refrigerator and a 2 burner cook top. There are plates and utensils readily available as well as a dishwasher and microwave. The beds are super comfortable and I want to take it home with me! Pull out sofa is decent as well. The bathrooms are roomy and clean and the closets are a luxury. The free laundry room (bring your own detergent) is clean and the machines are too notch. Pool is rather small but heated on an outdoor patio that has gas grills and patio furniture for guest convenience. They also have 2 cabana type rooms with a table and patio furniture to enjoy whole warming up after a swim and watch TV before heading back to your room. There are also gender neutral bathrooms in the private cabana type rooms.
Five Stars for customer service. The staff at the front desk made the experience great. They were accommodating to the many needs of my family. Housekeeping was also friendly. My only complaint was that I wished the shuttle was free. Also the shuttle takes a while. We waited 25-30min. There is a parking fee but its expected.
First of all, the AC is amazing! I loved coming back to the hotel and being able to cool off instantly. The rooms are very spacious, clean and the beds/couches are very comfortable. It is also real great that free laundry is available, an open gym, and even a pool with lounges! Prices for stay are affordable too.
Stayed here recently on a disneyland trip. I would recommend that guests familiarize themselves with the shuttle schedule before depending on it (paying $5.50/person) for transportation to disneyland. We waited 25 minutes for one to show up. A taxi is only $7 or so. Might be a better option if your group is small enough to take one cab. The room was excellent. Kitchen was well equipped if thats the sort of thing you need. We really only used the microwave and the ice machine (which was awesome to have in the room). The bathtub could have used one of those non-slip mats; it was quite slippery stepping into the tub/shower.
I was recommended to stag at this hotel when we went to Disneyland this past week, and Im glad we chose to stay here! The rooms were very nice, it looks like a little house with a full kitchen. They even provide pots & pans for you to cook, bowls, plates & utensils! The beds were very comfy! The only downfall was the heater didnt work right & our room was freezing, but they provided extra blankets, which helped a little. They have a bus that takes you to Disneyland for a good price too! Overall we were satisfied, we will now recommend this hotel to others & stay here everytime we go out there! :)
The area is quiet and close to Disneyland. The lobby is clean and very welcoming. The prices on the cupboard are exaggerating expensive. But a trip to target down the street can fix that. They only have 1 yes 1 only 1 elevator. If people are going up or coming down you have to wait for the elevator. Or take the stairs. But coming from Disneyland walking you really dont feel like going up 6 floors of stairs. They do have an art bus infront of the hotel for a fair price I believe $5.50 for adults. The rooms are very comfortable and the beds are amazing. The restrooms are so clean its unbelievable. Good job housekeeping!!!
I spent 4 nights at this hotel while attending a conference at the Anaheim convention center. It offered great value for a such a comfortable hotel. The bed was very good, desk was extra large, allowing me to spread out and be productive and having a full kitchen allowed me to buy and store and eat some healthy foods purchased nearby. It was a 15 minute walk to the convention center but that walk was just what I needed after sitting all day or sleeping all night. The Anaheim Garden Walk was only 5 minutes away where I ate several times. The only recommendation is to increase the internet speed in the rooms which was slower than in the lobby. And the free popcorn in the lobby was tasty!
We weβre in town for a car show at the convention center and this was a nice location/stay during our 2 days in Anaheim.Having the full kitchen was very nice and helped with having our own food and the the separate bedroom was great. There was some tv noise from the adjacent room, but being able to close the door to the bedroom helped alleviate that.Overall; it was a good stay
Aeyda and Jeffrey at the Front Desk were very accommodating since we got in very early in the morning. Too early to have all my preference requests set in our room, but she made sure that housekeeping took care of us and that we were able to check in at 10am. The Agent before her couldnt check us in at 4:30am because I would be charged an extra $100 or $50 if I checked in by 9am. The Staff are friendly and very helpful as we were in and out due to our uncles funeral in LA. We had to commute back and forth for long hours a day, but it was always refreshing to have the rooms serviced before we got in or later due to being sleep deprived from the day before. BIG thank you to this hotel and I would definitely recommend it, especially to families and would like to stay there next month if we come to visit with our children to Disneyland! Many Thanks!
The room and value were average, but the comfort of the bed and pillows was a pleasant surprise, however we were often wakened in the middle of the night by the loudness of the air conditioning unit turning on. The kitchen is small, but serviceable. Dont think the cleaning and resupplying of the bathroom in our suite was finished when we got there because we were missing essentials like facial tissue, a drinking glass, etc. I think we were supposed to have hand lotion provided too, but there wasnt any. (Not a big deal, but who knows what else was missing?) Its not really within walking distance to Disneyland unless you hike a lot, so be prepared to either drive or hire a car.
Aside from the worst water pressure (for someone with thin hair, I shouldnt have had to rinse in the kitchen sink...) the room was very nice, bed was comfortable, and it had a nice table area for my s/o and I.Outside of our room and a floor down was the BBQ/grill. There were tenants out there around midnight and you can hear them speaking clearly. Thankful they were only there about 30 mins, but still unpleasant. Check in would have been easier if we didnt have to wait for our room.
The facility was in great condition inside and out, close to Disney and restaurants. The one way drive was a little different but easy to work with. Housekeeping was always helpful and the rooms are very roomy. Stayed here for a softball tournament in the area but will definitely stay here next time for Disney vacation next time. The AC unit couldve worked a little better but as a Arizona resident we like it cold all the time.
Staff was extremely acomadating! Good hotel my room came with Disney fireworks view. Pool extremely small. But a couple of grills outside made it half decent. Rooms where nice big and clean. Elevators could use some good TLC mechanically and better cleaning. Overall a top stay. Very good candlewood some can be iffy.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating upon arrival and departure. My partner and I had a top floor suite. The view was great and the bed was super comfy and cozy. Whilst the shower was very clean, I feel that the surfaces of the suite should have been more clean. Such as the countertops and floors. I had gotten water on the sink countertop and when I wiped it down it was NOT clean. The carpets could have been shampooed and the hard floors moped. Other than those things the room was very nice. The location was a ten minute walk to Disneyland so my partner and I were able to walk back after the water rides and change. Which was very convenient. Overall it was a really good experience.
Great stay at Candlewood, staff are very friendly. Beds are comfortable. We stayed for Disneyland and my only complaint would be it is a little far of a walk to add on after a long day at the park. We could have used a ride share service but the wait for that at the end of a busy day was as long as it would take us to walk to the hotel.
Location is easy to find, less than a mile from the convention center. Room is clean and well kept. The small kitchenette is a nice addition. Bathrooms maintain cleanliness as well. Front of house staff were friendly and helped us out with some package deliveries, even though we werent checking in until the next day. Definitely would recommend if attending events at the convention center or Disney.
This was my first stay at this hotel. I checked in for 14 nights. The pool and gym are excellent. The room was clean and updated. Within walking distance to Disneyland. Excellent staff. Would definitely recommend. Would prefer free or reduced parking for extended stays.
I absolutely love the rooms here. I especially love that there is a kitchen with utensils and pots to cook with. The room was clean as well as the restrooms. My stay wouldβve been perfect, however, the front desk supervisor who checked me in had a lot of attitude. During the beginning of my stay my room had plumbing issues and the toilet was clogged and we had only been in for five minutes. The manintence men, Frank and another young man, were extremely helpful in the process. When I went to the front desk to aid to switch rooms she did not make an effort to try to figure out solutions instead she told me there were no rooms available and I had no choice but to wait until they fixed the plumbing by that time it had already been almost two hours. Thankfully, Frank did more service to us and accommodated us into a way better room and thatβs why I am still statisfied with my stay.
We stayed in the one bedroom suite. We were happy with the room, it was spacious and the pull out bed was perfect for our teenager. We liked that there were 2 T.V.s. There was not a lot of parking at night but there was a valet that could be used if the lot was full. They do charge quite a bit per day for parking which we werent thrilled about. There was a shuttle to Disneyland right outside. There was a pool. No breakfast etc at this hotel but there was a little store in the lobby for snacks
Great stay at the hotel. We had a pleasant stay and used our rewards to book the hotel. We had to book separate nights as both my partner and I used our separate points. The front desk were awesome at helping make sure we could keep the same room for the whole time. I was only sad to find out that when I got home I had a pretty awful/scary phone call from the hotel saying that I had βoverstayedβ which was not accurate as we had the room booked until our check out time (and no issue was ever raised to us when we checked out on time).
Wonderful hotel with great customer service. Rooms and bed were comfortable. Bathrooms were clean and they provided plenty of towels. Loved having a fridge and microwave in the room. Major bonus!! Easy access to Disneyland only about a 15-20 minute walk. We will definitely be back!!
Pros- kitchen was awesome (needs to offer a little dish soap though) and beds were EXTREMELY comfortable. Didnβt find it noisy at all. Hotel in excellent condition. The pool is tiny, but I had it to myself, so how often does that happen? Fitness facility had a great treadmill which is what I need.Cons- the females at the front desk were not helpful. Once, I asked for directions from the front desk and it was a male and he was very helpful, even giving me a map. Extending my stay was pretty much a terrible experience which cast an ugly shadow on my otherwise great stay. Girls at the front seemed actually annoyed.
Clean room, nice staff. Would have given 5 stars but second night there was loud stomping and yelling until I called front desk at 2 a.m. They did call and it quieted down somewhat. Unfortunately it started back up early in the morning. The front desk was helpful and told me they would send security up if they did not quiet down after their call. I question if a person entering the elevator from the garage was really staying there. Nice clean hotel but perhaps security could be a bit tighter
Good location. Staff was nice but they were sold out Disneyland tickets and we were told that there would be plenty available at the counter when we arrived. The room was nice with the attached kitchen and full fridge, but was not properly cleaned before our arrival. Upon walking into the bathroom we found hair scattered across the bathroom floor. Tldr: great location, good rooms with attached kitchen, but the staff and cleaning crew could use some improvement.
Studio room with full refrige, dishwasher, and cooktop is spacious! Its great to be able to eat some meals in, avoiding the Disney high prices. Stayed during California heat, and A/C is great! Everything is clean, clean! Love the location near Garden Walk for restaurants, and the ART shuttle to Disneyland stops out front every 20 minutes! I needed an early check in and a late check out. The staff was super friendly and accommodating!! Cant think of a con! Would highly recommend this hotel!! I will stay here on my next Disney get away!!
We had a great stay here. We needed to bring our cats as our house was being tented. My advise for anyone bringing cats: 1. Bring a small whisk broom and dust pan. The cat sand goes everywhere. 2. Scardey cats can squeeze between the bed and headboard wall. We had to pull the bed out to get to one cat. 3. Watch out for hot cooktop if cats are wandering around.
Well for starters, when trying to check in, the hotel was on lockdown, which is absolutely no fault of the hotel, I understand that. However I had asked if they would be willing to call me once the lockdown was lifted and they did not. I had learned it was lifted when I called the hotel later on in the late evening. Upon check in, the carpets were wet and disgusting and the recliner had cigarette burns. The only reason we did not switch rooms was because we were exhausted after having to wait to check in for almost 5 hours while the hotel was on lockdown. As a long time IHG member, I will say that Candlewood Suites definitely disappointed me and will no longer be staying at a Candlewood Suites when booking future trips through IHG.
This place works out perfect for when my family and I travel to Disneyland. Cheapest price and within walking distance of the park. Rooms are always clean and we like having the small kitchen to prepare breakfast before heading out. The only thing that would make this place better is not having to pay for parking but besides that it works out perfect for us every time.
Beautiful Rooms, Exceptional customer service from all the Staff! Everyone was very Welcoming and Helpful, even in the parking lot.Rooms: stood in a Queen Suite with sofa bed for myself and my two kids. More than enough space for all of us. Very home like feel. The bedroom had its own separate door.Huge Restroom. The full sha-bang Cable TV channels!Has a full Refrigerator with ice machine. Dish washer, Toaster, Coffee maker, Stove. There is a 24hr Laundry & Gym.Pool is on 3rd Floor.Highly recommend!
Came down for a short trip to Disneyland. We were pleased with parking availability (came in from park after 10pm, and found a spot without issue), and enjoyed the clean room.We are used to a king size bed. That was the only downfall. But the bed was the most comfortable Id slept on in the area.
This hotel was one of the better deals we could get for points/cash in the Disney area, and it was definitely a good pick. It was close enough that we comfortably walked to and from the park the first day, but also serviced by an ART shuttle when we didnt want to do that the second day. We had a room on the top floor so it was super quiet (which is usually my biggest problem with hotels). I was feeling a little too ill to eat dinner in the park the first night, but by the time I got back to the hotel I was starving, so being able to grab some food in the cupboard on my way up to the room was very welcome. Itll definitely be on our shortlist for our next trip.
Small rooms, yes has full kitchen but majority of guests donβt use as they all go and spend the day at Disneyland. Parking fee $17 a day, such a rip off!!!!! They will not credit points unless you book directly with them, I never heard that from other hotels.. this place is ridiculous!! Stay at LaQuinta and youβll enjoy it more.
Really fantastic hotel. You have to pay for parking but thats every single place in California. We had a lovely kitchen with a full size fridge, two burner stove, and dishwasher and two double beds. Their website made it sound tiny, but honestly the room was bigger than most. Free laundry room and gym. If you pay with a credit or debit card they do put a $100 hold on your card for the duration of the stay, but if you dont steal the towels you get it all back. Just something to be aware of. Loved it, we got a great deal through Priceline and we will be looking to stay here again when we come back. Only 0.7 miles from Disneyland if you walk!
This was a very comfortably stay. I currently am an IHG Platinum member and I was immediately was upgraded to a bigger room for free. I got the standard 1 queen bed and with the upgrade I was given 1 queen bed, a living room with a pull out sofa bed ( it was a full by the way), and a kitchen. The bathroom too was also very spacious and had a full shower/tub. Everything was very clean and the staff was very accommodating. I arrived very late in the night around 2am and they were still very perky and on top of my reservation. I was given a complimentary drink and snack on arrival. This hotel has a deal where you can get free 1 passes to Disneyland-something I definitely took advantage of! Unfortunately around the area, they were doing construction so there was no way I couldve got around the noise. It was very minimal and not Candlewoods fault. I was still able to sleep very soundly despite the minimal noise. The hotel was about a 7 min drive from the front entrance of Disneyland by car but there is a shuttle that you can take to Disneyland. ART runs the shuttle service and costs roughly about $5 per adult. Also, there is a $10 fee for parking your car on the premises. I was not able to use the gym since I was gone all day and only came back late at night-maybe next time. Did I mention the whole place is smoke free??? LOVE THAT.I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!
Such a nice hotel! The room was amazingly clean and accommodating. They give you silverwar, dishes, a full fridge, a stove top, and even pans to cook with! A spacious bathroom too! I dont think Ill stay anywhere else when coming to disney ever again. You do pay for parking but for how amazing it is overall, well worth it!
My husband and I have really enjoyed staying at the Candlewood Suites Anaheim. The staff are friendly, helpful, and accommodating; the rooms are clean; and the kitchens are a wonderful money-saving convenience. The best part though is the location! Its a really easy walking distance to the Disneyland and California Adventures park entrance! We will definitely stay again when we come back.
My second time staying here within months and Ive yet to have a bad experience. Rooms were clean, had free coffee in the lobby, very budget friendly hotel and the staff were nice people, all smiles. Dont let negative reviews scare you away from this place. Today they even let us check out late. My only negative review was the pool wasnt open for 2 days during my stay. Not a problem for me though, I didnt plan on using it as I came here to go to Disney and Knotts. I couldve walked to Disneyland but I am lazy. Lots of places to eat and shop near this hotel as well.
We enjoyed our stay to visit the Disneyland Park. The distance to the park and the freeway access were perfect. The rooms are nice and clean, very modern and fully stocked including a nice kitchen area. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were provided with extra blankets and a crib for the baby. Although its very close to the freeway, we could not hear any outside noises. I would recommend this hotel for the value and comfort.
Most of your staff are accommodating to guests needs and wants but Adriana is a gem she will go above and beyond to help with anything and everything while others not so much im sure u know those who arent. working is the hospitality field I was very impressed by Adrianas commitment to our well being since i was traveling with my 82 yro mother she was most accomodating
I took my 4 year old daughter for an over night trip to Disneyland and we live about 3 hours away. On the way out I ended up getting a flat tire and having to change it on the highway. Once we reached the hotel I was pretty dirty and my daughter was tired and a bit cranky .I explained to Sarah, who was working the front desk that night my situation and thats why we were so late to checking in and she graciously upgraded our room for the night. Although my daughter and I did not need the space, it really made the night turn for the better. Having my daughter stoked about the bunk beds in the room made her night she had so much fun. The room was really clean and everything in its place and the bathroom was immaculate. This was by far the best Candlewood I have stayed at. Again a special thanks to Sarah for all she did.
I had so many questions for the front desk staff regarding tickets, transfers, locations (and more) and they were always kind, pleasant and knowledgeable. The room was clean and comfortable. They even had Watkins products in the bathroom. We could see the Disneyland fireworks from our room. We walked to the park in the morning, but shuttled back.

2022-05-15To be honest has been a lot since I wrote a good review for a hotel in the USA in which you receive a great value for what you pay, and this hotel is one of those. Yes there is no restaurant service but there is a small kitchen inside equipped with everything needed also the clean was particularly good vs a lot of other hotels. I strongly recommend if you like to cook your own food when following a specific diet. The front desk team was amazing and kind and the location of the hotel is very good, there are places to eat nearby if you like to eat something instead of cooking.

2022-05-14Theoretically, this hotel wouldve been a great stay for us but the process to booking our room was where everything went wrong. I made a reservation online for about a weeks stay during our trip to Disneyland. We ended up having to shift the dates of our trip by a day so I call them to do so, I get sent to a call center only to find out that I had no reservation??? I had already paid almost $500 for this room, the money had been taken from my account but according to their system I had no reservation. After finally getting a hold of the front desk I was told to call back later when a manager was there because there was nothing they could do for me, the person at the desk at the moment was really rude and I was out $500 with no reservation. The next day I get a hold of the manager and they tell me basically the same thing, according to their system I never made a reservation and I need to call my bank to dispute the claim. I do so and get my money back and make a new reservation (that ended up being more expensive than our first reservation) only to receive a letter a few weeks after our trip saying that Candlewood took the money back claiming that in order to get a refund for a reservation I have to cancel it within their policy window. WHAT RESERVATION? In the end, my bank was the one who took the fall and gave our money back. I shouldve stayed somewhere else but I had several other family members staying here and we wanted to travel together to the parks. Perhaps you may have a better experience if you call to make a reservation rather than doing it online, in our experience it was unfortunately not the best.

2021-12-02Spotlessly clean! Our housekeeper was Miss Theresa who always kept our room perfectly clean and tidy. Friendly and knowledgeable staff! The gym was recently renovated with brand new exercise machines. The location was very close to nice restaurants, and was only a short walk to Disneyland. I would stay here again

2021-12-28When we first arrived, I was underwhelmed by the lobby, it was very small with a small area for breakfast however, the girl at the front desk was very accommodating to my special requests. I realize the hotel is old but they should really replace the old windows. And, if youre on a lower floor, you will definitely hear your neighbors! And as far as cleanliness goes, they need new housekeepers, every surface in our room was so sticky and grimy I specifically went to the store to get clorox wipes so I could wipe down every surface in our room. It felt as if no one had ever cleaned the room. And the final kicker was, when we arrived we were told we needed to request housekeeping to clean our room so this told me they dont have a full-time staff that cleans the room on a regular basis πThe best part about this hotel is firstly the staff, they are very nice and very accommodating to my special needs. Also, they are one of the very few hotels that has a kitchen which includes an oven!

2022-05-04This hotel is in a great location with equally easy access to bus lines for getting to the parks and around Anaheim. It is about a half block from the Clementine and Hotel Circle ART lines that run for limited hours during the day to the Disney parks. Also, it is within walking distance to many restaurants and stores, including the Anaheim Garden Walk. I would highly recommend this location if you plan on visiting Disney. And its proximity to the I5 interstate is very convenient for getting around Southern California.

2021-12-12We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Candlewood. The front desk, cleaning, and security staff were friendly and helpful. Had a wonderful sleep while we were there. Explored lots of fun areas around the hotel, including Disneyland of course. Would definitely book here again!

2022-04-26I honestly loved this hotel for what it is. The only thing is like doors that dont close/open easily or properly. Also the security guard was unnecessarily rude when I asked to use the lobby restroom because someone else was in mine in the room. Just felt very disrespectful for no reason

2022-03-31Room was fresh, they are rehabbing and this one had been done. A couple of bottles of good water were tossed in. 1.4 mile walk to Disneyland so not bad.

2022-02-24Im an IHG Spire Elite Member because I have stayed at IHG hotels hundreds of times and I can say this hotel is terrible and I havent even checked in. Customer service is non existent. While I. Sure its on par with all Candlewood Suites when it comes to rooms and amenities, its the service that sets hotels apart. As it is to late to switch reservations I will be staying there still, and updating this review accordingly, but Im sure the resulting update wont change the score. When you are hung up on twice( as in pick up and put diwn the phone so you dont have to answer the call) and then call multiple times and get no answer it speaks volumes.
