Stayed for several nights a couple months ago, and it was memorable enough to get to this recommendation from me. Very friendly and expeditious check-in began my stay at this quiet, pleasant, secure and very well-maintained RV park in the hills about an hour north of LA.Somewhat narrow pull-through spots lined side-by-side with one another is the only reason I couldnt give this park the full five stars.Otherwise, a nice sized pool and hot tub are right there, set nicely with a view of the surrounding hills. Bonus comes to those of us able to experience the incredible beauty of poppy fields of Antelope Valley, which is about 30 minutes away.
Stayed three nights, this place was awesome. Park was clean, well-maintained and Security was highly present, Office personnel were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. RV pad and hook ups, especially Wi-Fi is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️We streamed 2, Roku’s and 2 cell phones, one iPad simultaneouslyWould and will stay here again, well worth the money
This RV park is very clean and quiet. It is loaded with pull-thrus and I dont think they have a time frame on them like a lot of other parks that we have experienced. I love the blue tooth washer/dryer pay option!! We were able to run errands and see when our laundry was done! We missed our check-in day by two days and they were very accommodating on that as well. Thank you for making our stay so easy and painless, we had a great time!
There is NO question, my wife and I will definitely recommend Californian RV Resort in Acton, CA to anyone looking for a TOP class well-kept long or short term RV Park. This place is run by ladies and men are there to do the physical work. We felt very very safe and a gardening crew comes very often to keep the place clean. We ended-up staying here for about 3months and I hope other RV parks can match what they are doing. Pam and Alicia is awesome and I really hope they will be there for a long time. We can only recommend this place if Pam and Alicia managing it. I have been to other RV parks closer to this place, if you can spend little money, THIS IS THE PLACE and don’t go anywhere else.
The Californian RV Resort is the first RV park we stayed at long-term while traveling for work. We could not be more impressed with the cleanliness of the resort, the friendliness of the staff, and the amenities available. With onsite laundry, exercise, pool, and even a backyard that we took our dog to nearly everyday for some off-leash playtime, we can tell that this resort prioritizes the customer experience. They also are very mindful of guest health and safety during the COVID-19 pandemic and have put extra safety measures in place.
I’ve been here at cal rv for almost 3 years long term living and I have absolutely no complaints. The new management is amazing and are on top of any issues that arise. I’ve stayed at quite a few parks over the years and nothing compares to cal rv. All the staff is amazing and the park is extremely well kept. It’s also located perfectly in a quiet part of the mountains while being a short drive to anywhere you might need to go. If I could give this place 100 stars I would. Keep it up CAL RV!
I loved this place, it is very well kept and has lovely people working here. While it is the nicest looking in the area, I simply cannot condone staying here and paying an extra $300-$400 for the sake of having a pool and a gated entrance. I found the prices to be way too high and closer to prices of an apartment. I would definitely recommend to those who dont care about the price though. 👌
We arrived after the office closed but the very helpful grounds manager found an available place for us and checked us in. We had looked at a couple of other options in the area, some of which were very run down and sketchy. This gated park was very well maintained and felt very safe. The pads were fairly level and the hookups were in very good condition. I would stay here again.
Great place to stay. The office staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. We stayed for 3 weeks and these where absolutely the best 3 weeks of our trip. Residents are super kind. Pool IS REALLY HEATED! Such a wonderful feeling to swim at night in a warm CLEAN pool. I give 5 stars because I absolutely LOVE Californian RV!
We have stayed here several times with absolute satisfaction. They have a great grassy yard for off-lease dog run. The staff has ALWAYS been very accommodating to any questions or needs. Other than some freeway noise it is one of our favorites! We have a 40 pusher and have had no water issues or any problems that have been mentioned and the grounds staff has always been very pleasant and considerate.
We were in Acton for a family wedding and made reservations to stay here. This was oyr first time here and this is a nice RV Park, although a little cramped. The spaces are pretty narrow, so theres not a lot of room to sit outside. Everything is nice and clean and the pool & jacuzzi are nice. Theres no open spaces to walk dogs...just along the road.
While this park is clean and easy to find, we found it to be lacking. There is no TV at all, not even antenna channels. I guess if there is no TV it would be nice to offer DVDs....nope. the staff was friendly but not overly helpful. Otherwise the place is clean, the pool looks nice as well as the small spa. We will not return.
We had a great stay here, about 3 months. It is quiet, clean, and well organized. There were beautiful views and it is only a 5 minute drive from a nice grocery store (Acton market) and the local town park (beautiful green grass, playground equipment and great place to walk dogs) and a few restaurants. The rv park itself was very large and had plenty of roads to walk with your dogs. The fenced yard where they could play off leash was great, although you had to go through the office to get to it. Other than the offleash park all other dog walking areas were dirt, bushes, and rocks which is to be expected in California, they were very well kept (and look very nice especially the blooming flowers), just make sure to bring your own poop bags! The laundry room was very clean and all the machines worked great, and there were plenty of machines available. You can get quarters at the front desk which is so convenient and wonderful. The exercise facility is very small but has key pieces of equipment and AC that works great to keep you cool, with the added plus that very few people use it so you can exercise in peace.Overall the park was a great experience for my husband, myself, and our two large dogs. It was very safe and well kept and we will absolutely use it again if we are in the area.
So this is my first review on anything. This is by far the best campground we’ve stayed at. The swimming pool was clean, restrooms clean, the WiFi was off and on but most of the time it was on. What made this resort was the security and front desk. The front desk helped when they could and security were out all night making sure everyone was safe and comfortable. Super friendly an hassle free. If I could give more stars I would but for now I guess 5 will do.
This is a very clean rv park. The sites are a bit narrow, but long enough to be able to park our toad. Unfortunately it rained & was too cold to check out the pool. And no flooding or water pooling from all the rain - which is huge, since one place we stayed, we stepped out into ankle deep water in the AM. Theres no cable but we were able to get several channels with the antenna. And the wifi does suck - which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. The staff were very friendly as well.
The park is very well maintained. Reservations were easy to make and the price was great for the area. Acton is a good location for exploring Los Angeles area. Freeway noise is a minor bother but the views make up for it. Neighbors are friendly and courteous. Felt very safe there. Amenities are in great shape.
Small dog run for the pups. Nice pool and hot tub. Paid laundry on site. Quiet resort. Office has pool table, board games, books, movies, and a small shop in case you forgot something you need for your RV. Large backyard area at the office that dogs can come to sometimes to run around. (Closed at times if owners don’t pick up after their pets) Security at night. Highly recommend.
Really amazing park love the desert from the outside 🏜 beautiful sunrise they have a nice pool couple of shower rooms dog parks and a gym nice park people there are really nice met couple of europeans staying there if you looking somewhere to camp I would recommend this place
The RV park looks clean. Somehow I feel Dirty?Reasons?Staff is constantly tracking you in order to issues you a violationStaff has a racial bias - Caucasian :)Staff is allow to break rulesStaff loves evicting customers prior to their time expiringWhy? So they can keep your money and save on power + spaceVery clear no refund policy, nice scheme, lets see if the BBB will like it
Beautiful place! A little short on space (it does have cramped RV lots) but what it lacks in space it makes up for in the views, the friendly and accommodating staff, the sick heated and very large pool & hot tub, a gym, huge laundry facility, and super green & plush grass where located! They even have a club house with a store, pool table, microwave, books and DVDs to rent, rec rooms and outdoor space. I would definitely stay here again!
Weve been staying at this park since July 2015 and will be leaving mid-October. This park has been very nice, clean, and the staff has been very friendly and helpful. For the guy complaining about the WIFI, Ive never been to a park that has great free WIFI without some strings. Most of them have a ceiling on how much you can use, then they limit your speed. I never depend on a campground for WIFI; I carry my own access. This is a very nice park. We had stayed at the AV Fairgrounds, but they have no amenities and the price is the same for monthly rates, so the Californian is much nicer. Weve also tried other parks in the area but this one has the best views, best facilities, and the staff has been warm and friendly. Theyve called me when they knew I was waiting on a package delivery; they were kind when I misjudged our first departure date and were patient when I need a few hours to return to the park after some shopping. I would recommend this park to anyone who wants to stay overnight or for a longer term.
The staff at the Californian is very pleasant, and they are overall nice folks. This review is not about the staff nor their service at the front desk. However, this, being our vacation and we are traveling across the country to visit family, was an important trip to us. A couple of very major disappointments...#1 - we had reserved and had specified a very specific site at the park. We did this well in advance. We understand that things happen, and that sometimes the need to move people around may come up, but we checked on this twice, only to find out once we arrived that we had to be moved. I won’t go into all the details of why we needed this particular site, but it really was needed. I just wished they had been able to give us some type of notification so we could make other arrangements for this special needs issue before arriving.#2 - in their informational materials, as well as when reserving and speaking with them over the phone, we were assured that they had cable tv included with their sites. When we arrived, we hooked up our cable and lo and behold, nothing. Upon checking with the front desk, we are told “we haven’t had cable here for almost three years, it’s not available here”. That was completely from left field.#3 - finally, in my professional life, even while on vacation, I am responsible for a large company’s technology division, so I need to be able to stay plugged-in at certain times with what’s going on at the office. Because of this, we were very specific to check on available Wi-Fi at the resort. We were once again assured, while making our reservations, that their Wi-Fi was “very good” here and that there should be no issue whatsoever. However, when setting up our RV, and following their instructions to access their Wi-Fi, no matter what we tried, any of our devices, regardless, WERE INDEED ABLE to connect to their Wi-Fi, however they all had “no internet” on the connections. Looking at the devices, it was obvious that the park router was not handing out any IP addresses to the devices (via dhcp). This tells me that their router was out of IP addresses. This is very manageable using subnets, I do it all the time for large companies. This is also how other parks handle their guest Wi-Fi. However, here, it was useless. Again, I contacted the front desk, and was told “sorry, we guess too many people are using it, and then it doesn’t work - it happens all the time”. So, I just increased my Verizon plan and used my cellular signal, thank goodness.Again, I must say that overall the park staff is VERY NICE and pleasant - but that does not mitigate the other issues which made the stay less convenient than I would have hoped. This is not a “more-economical” park, and is considered a premium resort for the area. With that in mind, I really would have expected better.
We are parked at the Californian RV Resort while my husband works at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills. There arent many RV parks/resorts in the LA metro area, especially those that can accommodate our 40.5 rig so we consider ourselves lucky to have found this lovely RV resort. The staff have all been helpful and courteous. The views at sunset are breath-taking. The sites might be considered to be close and tight for a large rig but not more so than in many other RV resorts and parks. Although we dont have young children, I can see that children might have a tough time finding places to play that dont infringe upon other RVs spaces, which is not permitted per park rules. The parks rules are fair and not unusual for a well kept, clean, and safe RV resort that accommodates daily, weekly, and monthly guests. These rules are evenly and respectfully enforced. The resort has excellent security with keycard access for guests, which is comforting. The staff is helpful, courteous, and respectful.Unfortunately, like the rest of California, Acton is suffering from a long term and extreme drought. The resort waters the greenery per the current limitations imposed by the state and, presumably, the county. The pool is clean and available during the warmer months. Recommendation: during warm/hot months, bring anti-ant products (eg, sprays, powders) as it is in the nature of the area to have copious numbers of ant colonies.
Great place! Clean, quiet and really well maintained. The staff is top notch!! Very friendly and extremely helpful. They all were willing to go above and beyond to help. They became friends!!!If you’re going to stay in the Palmdale/ Lancaster or Santa Clarita area, THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY!
Plenty of open concrete spaces and they put us in the storage site. Power box was locked, had to wait for someone to get a key, wood header boards with nails on the site. Maintenance guy simply picked them up and threw them in the bushes. Asked to be moved and they said no. We save the good spots for monthly rentals.
Requires 6 month lease. No electricty for 12 hours a day for over 6 weeks and still ongoing from my neighbors. Sewer line rupture and left raw sewage on my pad for three days. Used my space as a debris pile and material staging area. Very disappointing experience. They offered no real accommodation when I checked out to move to another park. They are way over priced for what they offer. All travelers living in your coach, head to Valencia or Tehahchapi.
Dont know what has happened - use to be a very inviting park - now it seems that there isnt much pride in the grounds - laundry room is not being kept up (dirty) with lots of machines out of order - our site had a water problem and was supposed to be cleaned up by the time we parked - nope!! we had to clean ourselves - the WiFi is a joke - dont know what had happened - sad
DO NOT STAY HERE . Management is a staff full of ladies that are trying to relive their high school years. If you are a person of color beware , these people are discriminatory and lacking in self awareness. We were harrassed multiple times with fake complaints that were dated 3 days ago and when confronted the staff simply said we forgot to post it sooner. Seriously ? If youd like to spend your time fighting countless hours with staff, caucasian people constantly breaking rules but not given any citations , and trying to relax by the pool with multiple dogs running around (not allowed) , then this is the place for you :) Happy travels !
I woke up to find a strange car outside my door, on my space. Theres no security here at night. It turned out to be a non-guest who Had sneaked in to party, then lost his car and took an uber ride home. He was charged for the space and I received a refund. Nice looking park but disappointing. Theres a great rv store and rv sales/service dept next door if you need supplies.
Rude, NASTY, Arrogant and just Terrible management Ive ever experienced!! Oh did I say RUDE??BUYER BEWARE!! Be careful making a reservation with this park. You wont know what you are getting yourself into until you get there. Dont give them any money!!I agree with the other folks below that the owner should definitely fire that woman right out of there quick!! Im wondering with all of these terrible reviews if shes connected with the owner somehow. If it were my place she be out of there in a second! Its a nice place but she made it unbearable and undesirable to stay there. The management is very bipolar!I was schedule to be there for a week and was asked to leave within a few days. I m a pretty reserved individual who likes going to rv parks as its nice to meet other folks with a little adventure and travel time. Im retired and in my 50s. Im always quiet and neat and other than making a friend or two along the way I dont bother anyone. However, this witch at the front desk thought my very nice but older class A vehicle didnt fit in with the park. She said I wasnt following the rules.. btw, what rules?? There were no rules stated anywhere. If there were, I was so quiet and stayed to myself most of the time I couldnt image what rules I would have broken. She made up some other crazy excuses and wouldnt give me my money back either!! I paid in full upon arrival with her. Wow! I am just besides myself! This is the resort from hell!Regarding the park itself.. everyone is on top of each other, not a lot of room, no trees and too much concrete!Oh, one more important factor I should mention. This is not a child friendly park!! I looked on Megans list and there are a few sex offenders that live there full time! Pretty scarey! This place is a Good Sam facility member. I will be reporting this place to them also. Im sure they wont allow this sort of visitor treatment. There should be no stars for this company!! JUST AWEFUL!!
Park is nice and so is the management. However, the Intenet is HORRIBLE and was a reason we chose this location. I had to use the internet on my phone, which caused me to exceed my data plan; my overage cost more that it does to stay here each day. We expressed our issue to management and we were told to kick rocks. For that reason, I would not recommend or stay here again.
Horrible!!!! Avoid at all costs!!!! Go to San Dimas. The management is a home and beyond rude. They have there own click and if they dont care for you than you are gone. The bald guy who they claim is security is nothing more than a washed out security guard who in my opinion is a peeping Tom. I work all over the country and have been to many upscale rv parks and this one is nice but the management makes it a one star. They should all be fired with the exception of Denise.

2021-11-23We have stayed here for several months. We have a very large rig and found it very easy to maneuver around the roads. The sites are medium, you can open slides on both sides awnings a d still have room left over. The views are spectacular, the place is kept up. The have a gym and laundromat. Its very dog friendly, they have dog bags through out the park. A dog poo area, and a backyard by the office with grass you can sign-in for so your dogs can run off leash (this is the only time they can be off-leash) when outside. The office staff is awesome and was always so helpful and friendly, the maintenance staff was friendly and helpful. Actually everyone we meet was awesome.

2022-05-04No rooms, you need a camper. Lots vary from gravel with no grass to concrete or concrete with grass. Its really tidy with friendly front desk staff. Theres a gym, jacuzzi, pool and nice showers. Our neighbors generally keep to themselves but some have barking dogs that drive me up the wall. Havent complained because they are friendly, too, and since theyve lived here for years, Im sure I wouldnt be telling the front desk staff anything new!Security gate is a plus.

2022-06-05Fabulous views from our RV spot in this RV resort tucked into the mountains. The heated pool was a wonderful respite after a long and hot day of driving the RV.The entrance to the park is a bit of a steep incline, but we made it in our 36 RV towing a truck.

2022-06-20We have stayed a few times at the Californian RV Resort. The staff has always been cheerful and accomodating. What I like most is the concrete, pull through sites. Very easy to get in and out of with our trailer. The pool and spa are very nice, clean and well maintained. The landscapping, roads and sites are also very well maitained. The views of the mountains are beautiful and even though it is near a busy freeway, the park is pretty quiet and the other RVers are friendly, polite and quiet.

2021-12-29The park itself looks fine, but the management ruins the experience. The manager is particularly rude, yelling and screaming at me on the phone, demanding I remove a piece of lawn furniture. When I asked to point to the paperwork that said we could not have it, she could not find any such rule, but instead said its my park, I can do whatever I want. Terrible, terrible management. Also the wifi sucks.EDIT: Despite their more polite response on this review, the manager was entirely unprofessional and, frankly, childish on the phone. She could not point to any rules or regulations in the signed paperwork and just makes up rules as she sees fit. I suppose she has the right to do whatever she wants on her property, but it would be nice to know these unwritten rules before someone moves in. Moreover, any competent manager would treat their paying customers with a modicum of respect.

2021-05-02Great site, friendly staff, well organized. The sites are small but well-maintained. Gated site provides good security via limited access. Most sites have great views of the surrounding landscape and rolling hills. Good access to the 14 for those looking to commute. Weve been here a month during our transition onto the area. We highly recommend the Californian RV Resort. Great pick!

2020-08-27We stayed a little over 4 months for my husbands job. The park is very well maintained. The office staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The maintenance workers were also very friendly and always hard at work. The grounds, pool, laundry and restrooms were always very clean. We also really liked that the entire place was fenced and gated. We felt very safe and comfortable at the Californian with our children. If my husbands job ever takes us back to the area we will definitely be staying with them.

2021-01-12Only issue I had was my fault: I thought I made a reservation and didnt. Whoops. They were able to accommodate us for a weekend with no issues. The park is quite clean even if the spaces are very tight (the only reason I give it 4 stars). The tight spaces made it a little more difficult to setup and dump, but not impossible. Main office was very helpful, seems to be a lot extended stay folks there as well. The pizza joint down Sierra Highway was really good, give it a shot if you stay here.

2022-04-20Staff are friendly. The site was very well maintained and clean.
