Seem like a good place. But when i left my medical pens and other tobacco related items . 3 of every item i had in the car. Were missing! Talked to the main lady that runs the place. And she got super defensive then told us to get off the property. If you leave anything in the car worth value. Its good as gone.
My go to rental place in Visalia! Samreen was very kind, considerate, and went out of her way to get me the best deals on the car throughout my rental process.The entire staff at this location is very friendly and helpful. They even offered to drop me home since I had trouble finding an uber.Highly recommend this place! Excellent customer service!
Courteous, friendly service with a touch of humor. The car I rented was clean, efficient on gas and enjoyable to drive. Its worth booking a rental online because the price is cheaper than if you book through an agent or in person.
I had the best experience! Started out at Enterprise where availability was zero and the customer service sucked. I ended up at Avis/budget Rental and in 30 min I was on the road with a vehicle that fit my need and my budget! I experienced amazing customer service from all staff. There were no hidden fees, no one tried to get me to pay for things I didnt need, they treated me like family! I will never go anywhere else!
We reserved a mid size car, gotthere and they didnt have that car. Offered SUV or small car. Took the SUV and it was very dirty. I spent 30 min cleaning it and it still stunk. Never again am I renting from budget.
Rented a vehicle at LAX Airport, drove to Visalia. Had to deal with a blind spot when looking over the shoulder, changing lanes, for 200 miles. Went in to the local Avis/Budget office, explained the problem. They could not have been nicer, took care of me immediately, made sure everything was okay. Thanks Visalia Avis/Budget team!! I highly recommend this location, fantastic customer service.
I checked out this car rental place because of the high reviews. However, my experience was bad. I went in person to reserve the car a week ahead of time. I needed to make sure I had a car for an event I was attending. The man at the front desk took my information and told me to simply bring a utility bill, debit card or credit card and thats it. I called numerous times to the location after this to make sure I didnt need to have any other requirements besides my cc and the money in the bank and bill statements verifying my address. The day I went to get the rental he told me he would need to do a credit check.I dont have credit. I dont use credit cards or like getting into debt by choice. I like to pay purchases in full with cash. I was very upset because he didnt tell me this the week before or when I called numerous times. I let him run the credit check, because I needed the car for an event this weekend. It was horrible! He looked at me like really. As if to make me feel inferior. Bad service!!! My parents always go to rent-a-car enterprise for car rentals, but I decided to try a new place. My mistake. I went to rent-a-car enterprise and they helped me get a car that same day without reservation. I expected more professionalism and courtesy from budget car rental because of the reviews. The man at the front desk should disclose all information that is needed not just what is convenient or wait until the last minute.
The absolute best! After doing quite a bit of shopping around for a rental, I found the best deal with Budget. I pre-paid, which saved me a decent amount of money. When I got there, the lady happily gave me options and great advice as far as comfort and gas mileage (we were taking a road-trip out of state). When I returned the car, the lady noticed that the timing I had originally put during pre-payment, (which was done online) was off and refunded me for what I did not use. She totally did not have to tell me and I would have never known! This tells me that they are trustworthy and truly look out for their customers!
Got Budget truck there for rent. Paperwork was quick. And thats the first rental office that didnt try to upsell me with their insurance. Usually those companies are very persuasive about it. The guy who helped to check the truck was professional and had great attention to details.
I frequently rent cars from Budgets Visalia location for business travel. David, the local manager, and his staff are helpful and knowledgeable. They always seem to be looking for ways to make my experience better. Most recently, I rented a car because mine was in the shop. I told David that I was considering buying a new one. He asked what kind of car I was considering, then walked with me through his inventory to pick a car for my trip that is similar. Very helpful. He then gave me a free upgrade. The car was nearly new, low miles, very clean, and my rental price was very good. This experience is consistent with many I have had at this location.
Will DO NOT RENT FROM BUDGET the worst. We reserved a car same day was told that we could pay for it with our debit bank card. We get there mind you we live one hour away. Only for this guy to swipe my card and tell me my credit didnt pass. I mean what the fuxking hell. I have rented from Hertz way more expensive. But my debit card credit score did pass and took my payment. I dont think these people even try what the hell. My bf goes in there argues to the lady who tells him you do we make the reservation. If we cant pay. We wasted gas to drive an hour. And she super rude told my bf of way even rent if we.dont have the money. There was another couple there at the same time were she didnt even honor the price they originally reserved 2 cars for. Same thing happened to them. What a damn joke
Rented a standard size car, and they gave me a compact. Apparently they consider a VW Jetta as a standard size. Not happy!
I will NEVER rent from budget again !!!1) The people are super nice, but we booked online, there was a mistake on budgets part, on our destination return vehicle. We asked for the equivalent vehicle that were had to our vacation destination. It was a much smaller vehicle. Our luggage did not fit. Rather than argue at a jet lagged, sleep deprived state (1a.m.), I paid in hopes of clarifying their mistake upon my home arrival. No such luck. Lots of kind smiles, but no clarification on their business end.Thus, my only option is to deal with some corporate operator.2) This one made me really angry..... after paying my bill, I asked for a ride home(8 miles across town !). NOPE ! I was told it was against corporate policy. They stated they were only allowed to give a ride up to 1 square mile. So.... I took the ride of 1 mile towards my house. The funny part is I had one of their workers give me that ride in his personal vehicle(a mini cooper). No bueno for a chubby guy like me. ... I suppose they dont think there is a liability factor having an employee give a customer a ride in their personal vehicle. At least he dropped me off at the bus stop ! Lol.... The moral of the story...? Dont skimp on a few dollars, go to Enterprise or Hertz car rentals instead.
Very accommodating. First car I rented from them, the tire had bubble. They up graded me to a bigger car for no extra charge.
Ive rented multiple times at this budget location and had 0 problems until this weekend. The 2019 Nissan Sentra I rented was dirty and smelled extremely bad. The front window was extremely dirty from the interior of the car. The floor of the car was dirty and there was food and trash in between the seats. The stinky b.o. smell inside the car was so bad I couldnt take it on the trip I had planned with it.
My fiancé and I have rented a car here many times before with no problem at all. This morning we were renting a car and the blond lady in the front did not let us rent a car with our visa or debit card when the policy in budgets information states you can use a debit card... Which we have used before months back when we have rented from budget. Now we are going to be late to the wedding we need to attend just because the lady in the front wasnt accepting anything...both ladies obviously were not on the same page. So we decided to go through enterprise that had great service and we saved about 30 dollars. Do not go to budget.Sincerely,Not happy happy wife.
Dave and Christina spoiled me by going above and beyond to meet my car rental needs over last three years. I have not and dont plan to rent cars from anywhere else if I am renting in Visalia. I have recommended my friends and co-workers to rent from this Budget Rental place and they were satisfied with the services and the value provided. I received free upgrades from them many times. Due to my frequent renting (1/2 times a month) they try their best to give me the kind of cars I like. So far this is the best car rental place.
Avoid like the plague for moving truck rental. I was overcharged by $60 and it has taken 4 visits and 10 phone calls to try to get my money back, they have promised a refund 3 times. Ive never had an issue with Penske. THE LOCATION DOES NOT ANSWER THEIR PHONE, and does not call out to Budget either to settle disputes. Bad, bad, bad. Also when I first went in, I waited in line for 30 minutes to talk to only one cashier.
I do not recommend this place they make reservations for you and dont tell you they dont have anything available after the take your deposit then once you arrive to pick up the truck the 2 bad attitude ladys tell the only truck they have is out of service! Now were fight to get the deposit back today not by the 5 or whatever refund policy is!
I rented for one day. Got a great rate, great car. It was easy inexpensive, and i didnt have to draw blood, put my houdmse up for sale, or sacrifice any animals. Like at some of these other rental companies. They were prompt, courteous, polite. I will definitly do business woth them again.

Long wait at initial vehicle pick-up, unknowledgeable staff at counter, banged up car, office smells like marijuana and is FILTHY (just like between the seats in the car, which happens to smell like smoke), rental is overpriced and then they have the nerve to spring a $100 credit card hold AFTER already charging your card for the rental. If you choose to put the $100 hold on your debit card they have to run your credit. The employee at the counter thinks its a soft hit to your credit; I was not informed of this when I reserved and paid online. BTW, if you pay for GPS, you dont get a car with GPS, you get an actual old school GPS that sits on the dash.
I had no issues. Van we rented was nice. Had a recorder on the dashboard we played and heard a whole conversation another renter had. That was creepy. We made sure we said nothing important incase it was recording. Lol
The phone reservation line was a whole different story than what u receive when u get there. I wont be returning. Enterprise is way better
At 1st I was like never again! But they fixed the issue i guess when it comes to check engine lights i do t like it on while driving out of state with small kids or kids period but they took great care

Avoid doing business with Budget Rent a Car in Visalia at all costs they will rip you off at any opportunity I rented a car there on Friday to pick the car up at 5:45 dropped it off at 5 on Sunday and they charge Me 2 days rental because they close at 2 on Sunday how is that fair?

2021-08-16The deferred a billing issue back to the Budget LAX, while LAX told me it had to be dealt with at the time of turn in. Customer service / owners obviously hate their job - rude attitude with a lack of any type of motivation to assist you. Enterprise has never let me down and even goes as far as to look for the best deals or not charge you 2 days for a 26hr rental, whose origins quote was bait and switched from the get go. Try another company if you are able to !

2021-06-12I rented a car to take for a trip but once i got the car home I noticed the tire were in really bad shape I returned the car the very next day cuz for work reason couldnt do it right away. I complained about it to the manager and he said the car tires were in good shape on top of that he charged me two days for a car that was just parked one day in my house i didn’t used it for my own safety. Here the pics judge it yourself if they look fine to you

2021-09-18I rented a Hyundai Santa Fe and this car had the worst smell and it was dirty. The ground wasnt vacuumed and the interior was dirty. The smell was so bad that I had to go buy an air freshener. Before returning the car and cleaning it out I pulled down the backseat to find that there was some sort of sauce dripping down middle seat and stained in the cup holders. The car served it’s purpose and took me to and from where I needed to go but for the price it would be nice to know that the car has been cleaned up before you drive it, especially during Covid-19.

2021-09-13Be careful to check your bank account concerning the deposit. They shorted me $40 and now I’m waiting on hold the second time to see why. They haven’t sent me any message as to the unexpected charge and I filled up the gas tank before I turned it in.

2021-09-07I was just looking online for a rental due to being hit on my way to work. Budget already charged me 3 times for 1.50 and Im not even sure for what. I havent even gotten a car off them. Just have them my information supposedly to get a discount. Will never trust them again.
