The hotel is very nice and comfortable but honestly a little sketchy location. Im working overnight in Stockton and going to the parking lot in the middle of the night was concerning. I saw some guy just riding his bike around the parking lot and others loitering so I felt a little unsafe.
Do yourself a favor and avoid this hotel! I read the bad reviews but thought Its a Best Western... How bad can it be? Oh, it was bad!Check in process was incredibly hectic with terrible customer service. There were a ton of cars and people all around the facility, just not the normal vibes you get at a Best Western Hotel. The worst of it all was that we were in our room for less than 5 minutes when we saw a massive COCKROACH crawling across the floor. We left the hotel immediately and Im still struggling to get the refund that I was told I would get by the front desk agent.
This was quite possibly the noisiest room I have stayed in, as the window did not close all the way. Even having the AC on full blast did not drown out the ambient noise from outside. The hallway smelled of marijuana, and the carpet and furniture were dated and needed to be replaced. This hotel is not in a great area, all of the surrounding buildings had metal bars in front of the windows.
Overall it was mediocre. Ive stayed there a handful of times not all my stays were the same. Depending on where they place you for your stay, the experience will not be the same. This last stay, a male person walked in my room at 2 am from the permission of management. The different excuses given made no logical reasoning and it was nonsense itself. 3 stars
Beyond a doubt the WORST Best Western we have ever stayed at. Here goes Pros & Cons.Fast bottom line: We checked in and checked OUT the same day. It may look nice from first drive up but all ends there. IF in the mood read on...1. PROS: We had advance reservations but decided since our drive would get us in later we went on line and did the advance pre-check even though we had provided our credit card in advance but since we had requested a handicap access room we felt it would make our check in easier.CONS: Dont bother. Carla at the check in desk paid no attention to the Pre-check in efforts.Since my partner is in an electric wheelchair and travels in a Handicap Van we had pulled up directly to the front entry. The checkIn desk was in plain sight . Carla requested a drivers license so I stepped outside to get it. Upon return she said he had to come in to physically see him. I explained we had requested a handicap room. That my partner was in a wheelchair and could she please just step to the door and she could see him. Since there was also another assistant at the desk I was shocked at her refusal. Then it started. The check in process was started all over. New card, new ID New fill out forms. Unacceptable!CONS: Next she added and extra $100.00 to our invoice for what was referred to later as Sundries. Turns out meaning that if you damage the room or smoke in it etc. Went alone with that since told refundable if damage was not noted. More to follow on that.CONS: The handicap parking location was not convenient because there is a door prior to the hall before your room requiring a different card access key. Sent up a flag right away. No way for a handicap person to easily get their things in the room. Not easy for anyone since no stopper on the door to hold open during unloading or loading.CONS: The room although marked Non-Smoking reeked of cigarette smoke. The floor lamp in the corner was leaning and broken. The water was running in the toilet and room did not smell clean or look it. Knowing they had our $100.00 deposit in tow for (ie) any damages we headed straight to the desk. Informed Carla of the damages and requested another room. Carla advised she would make note of the damages but refused our request to change rooms. It was now after 7pm. After traveling 6 hrs on the road we checked out exhausted, frustrated with the whole experience and had to find another motel.PROs: You NOW know about it and will not have to find another motel after a long daybecause you can avoid ever checking in to The Best Western in Stockton in the first place! Do not believe their pictures. It is all disappointing.
These budget friendly rooms are my 2nd pick in stockton.. as long as you dont stay in building C this is one of the cleanest well maintained motels in town. Cam be a bit loud at times and often the non smoking rooms reek of stale smoke but a little air freshener is a quick fix for that. Although often the halls are filled with lingering weed smoke. The rooms are nice roomy and very clean. All essentials like tp, shampoo and conditioner as well as a hair drier, fridge, microwave, coffee pot and iron are standard in every room. They dont take cash pqyment and one must have an fdic bank card for the $100 refundable deposit.but they do offer each guest a hot breakfast not just a waffle and oatmeal either but a full breakfast bar. Staff is extremely nice and very helpful. But as with every place in stockton there is a homeless problem and often time the stairway of building C will have a few people hanging around doing drugs. But they tend to hand at the C building. The parking lots are shared with food for less and a bank so can be crowed and again very loud. Over all a great place to stay a few nights.
My wife and I booked this hotel because it looked alright on paper, as they say. The room was terrible, reeked of bleach, like someone covering up a crime scene. The parking and exterior of the hotel was SHADY A F. Im not usually precious about this stuff, lived in rough neighborhoods. But for traveling, we were certain that our car would get broken in to, and we had luggage and camping gear for our trip. We decided to eat the cost (no refunds) and book another hotel. We couldnt REALLY afford it, but I dont regret the decision to not stay after checking in. I would heavily urge you to choose a better hotel, not worth the savings.
Positive: Decent breakfast. Helpful staff. Negative: Little parking spot. Had to park car in the food4less parking area the whole time. Rooms very close to the main road. The whole night kept hearing the traffic and sirens. The air conditioner did not work. The room smelled heavily of smoke+room freshners
Positive: Well kept clean and great value. The TV did not have a remote. The staff delivered a replacement. He was very helpful - but took 3 calls to get him (phone call was dropped) Negative: Check in took 40 minutes, staff was indifferent. Took 6 calls to connect, phone kept ringing. Had to recall him. There was massive amount of partying going on and it was noisy. Staff was disinterested overall.
Nightmare from hell ! Never I repeat Never stay at the Best Western on March Lane ! Reason #1 Bed bugs , yes my family stayed here this past weekend and are now dealing with Bed bugs ! Reason # 2 I booked a reservation in my name and had to switch it to russells name because I misplaced my ID and now after paying for a 3 day reservation I am being charged 200 dollars for canceling when that was the case , it wasnt canceled names were switched and reservation was paid in full but yet they are still trying to charge me , the staff there is rude as hell so is management! Everything about this hotel and stay was a nightmare and Im hoping no one else has to go thru this ! Please share this post if you have the time !
TERRIBLE place!!!!! I made a reservation and when I had my guest arrive at the hotel, they stated they needed another $100 for a deposit. Which I was never told on the phone. So I decided to cancel and get my refund.(Hotel lady said I would get my money back) I was charged and they NEVER gave me my money back and I am still waiting for my money back. Its been over a month! Do not come here! Save your money and go else where!
Positive: Location is good. Breakfast was great ! Bacon, eggs, cereal, coffee, juice, fruit, waffles, toast, jam, etc.... Negative: Room was ok... a bit tired though. Nice large bathroom. The pool and hot tub were not clean. Appeared to be working families living in the hotel full time.
Positive: Good hot breakfast and quiet/good location. Negative: We finished our dinner earlier and got a parking spot by 8PM. When I went out to pick up some things from the car at 9PM, therere people looking for parking. Also, were a little bit confused using the gate key and door key at the beginning.
Positive: The breakfast was great! They have the full continental and each day they have a special item like cheesy spinach eggs, or biscuits and gravey. the breakfast security made us feel safe and at home. The breakfast attendees are always on top of it. Negative: I have to be honest I did have Bed Bug bites in my 1st room. But staff addressed the issue and got me moved to another building where I had no further problems. They got on it right away, and the next few days I seen steam cleaners in and out.
Positive: I left something behind and the cleaning person gave it to front desk. ¿¿ Negative: The alarm went off around 6am and kept going off and on until check out at 11. My nephew told me that it did the same when, he last stayed there. Maybe that¿s their way of getting
Positive: It was clean enough. Negative: Staff member was rude at check in. Questioned my credit card for deposit. I told them I had my dog with me, she put me in the building farthest away from the pet area. The hallways smelled like smoke. The refrigerator didnt work well. Loud street noise.
We were here for 3 days and enjoyed our stay. The room was big, clean, and comfortable. The free breakfast was delicious and they had various options. Front desk was helpful and courteous. Like most hotels you can hear noise from hallway and other rooms, but nothing huge. They have a banquet room they rent out, so we had trouble finding parking on one of the nights we were there.
If I could put - stars I would. The worst Best Western I have e er stayed. People hanging around outside all night, inside building in front of our room, security did nothing. Room not clean coffee pot had mold. I was told I would be getting a refund.. I DID NOT!! Customer service is a joke. The hotel was unclean, unsafe, and ghetto.
This hotel doesn’t feel safe! There was a lot of people hanging around the outside of the hotel. Parking lot didn’t feel safe at all. The inside had a very strong marijuana smell, even though it’s non smoking and they make you pay an extra $100 deposit that is only refunded after they verified you haven’t smoked in the room. Bed sheets had holes in them and the bed was rock hard. I don’t recommend this Best Western at all! Stay somewhere else!
This hotel has a convenient location. The room we were given was large and clean. Unfortunately had two problems. It smelled of smoke and the room had a window facing the road which made it a little noisy. Luckily traffic was light during our stay (Thanksgiving). The breakfast offered was generous and had good hours and seating. Be sure to remember your room number, its only for guests.
I had appointment to make with lifelineScreening. I went upstairs to the Conference room where the Screening usually takes place but no one was there. I was flabbergasted. The Tables and Chairs were well made with white apparel. Standing there in an empty room I returned back to the receptionist Ms Stephanie to enquire about the Medical Screening group and she responded saying she hasnt seen anyone I told her the last time I came it was about 10 0Cl0ck.The time was already past 110Cl0ck. Before I take my leave, let me commend the Management for providing a very nice environment for customers and free parking lots. I want to also encourage the public to patronize Best Western Plus Heritage Hotels. The Receptionist, Stephanie has the skills to welcome Customers but most be smart at all times.
Positive: Staff was great Negative: When we checked then we signed up for the quick check out on Sunday have not received a receipt as yet this is Tuesday not real happy about that but we would have it by now they have her email address only complaint I have is not receiving my receipt
Great housekeeping staff. The day I arrived they were cheerful and helpful even though they appear to work long hours. Breakfast offerings are fresh and tasty. Parking right along the building is not plentiful. The back parking lot is NOT lit at night. Very dark and inviting for vandals and thieves. Did not feel safe here. Unfortunately I paid ahead for my room or I would try another place. Very disappointing because I usually like Best Western lodging.
Sales manager Sonya is just…. WOW. Beyond amazing had an event this weekend went above and beyond to help me out she helped cordinate my event the way I wanted it, layout was amazing everything was perfectly clean I am very happy will definitely return for any events here, front desk staff David was always very sweet and kind was guiding my guest the correct way and was assisting with what ever I needed. Please rely this message to Sonya I am beyond happy with her.
The room smelled funky, we had no trash cans (housekeeping did bring one up),one bed didnt have a blanket, sketchy people all around. Pool and hot tub were nice and thats about it. Morning of our departure the toilet started leaking. More cons than pros but it was a room for my family and I. Wont be on the top of my list if Im in Stockton again.
This location was in STOCKTON, CA. The front. Desk crew- Nicki & Anthony was very courteous, friendly, and professional. Anthony immediately assisted me and got us set up with a room. However, upon getting to the building, the parking area was unkempt, dirty, we saw homeless people hanging around. I went back to the front desk and requested Niki to give us another room in a less crowded building, and she immediately made arrangements. This property is in dire need of proper maintenance and cleaning of its buildings and surroundings. Best Western Corp. should come out and assess how the standards are being implemented. The rooms were decent size, updated in the basics, a semi-functional refrigerator w no shelves in it. The little patio outside the sliding door was filthy, with the full garbage can from the previous occupant of the room still out there. Wood Floors in the room were not mopped who knows if even vacuumed on the very dated carpet side. Hallways needs updating, looks old & tired colors. All in all, a big property with several buildings which could be real money makers, must be maintained better. The Staff at the front desk - Niki and Antonio are very good with the delivery of good customer service. We will come back again another time & hopefully changes were made for the better.
Rude person checking me in he didnt have a name tag so I couldnt get his name didnt even recognize my diamond status room was a no smoking room but stank like smoke I got a suite and only 1 towel for 4 of us staying the tv did not work all he said is he will leave a notePossibly one of the worst Best Western I have ever stayed at
Positive: Clean rooms good breakfast, atmosphere peaceful and most of the staff very attentive , and nice. Negative: Everything about the hotel was great except the fact that myself along with about 50 other prepaid guests were waiting over two hours to check in because the younger female front desk attendant refused to start checking us in even 30 minutes before 3:00
Positive: The price for the room is what I liked best. It was reasonably priced compared to every other hotel. Negative: The towels in the bathroom were dirty with stains and spots on them. The housekeeping maid came into the room too early: 1 hr and 15 minutes before our scheduled check out time.
The front desk were friendly but needed to look more professional. The room smelled musty and like old cigarettes, we do not smoke. The bathroom floors were sticky, not sure why, need to clean better. Mattress was old and lumpy and springs squeeked when you moved, very uncomfortable. Room had a lot of dust on desk and lamps. None of the gates worked so had to go back to office to find out how to get into building. Another guest had to tell us how to get in. Parking lot, as mentioned by others, was dirty and there was a broken down Nissan Pathfinder in parking space, due to being covered in dust and cobwebs, had been there for many months. Outside needed to be cleaned due to all the garbage. We have stayed here before, a few years ago, and in that time the place had deteriorated. We won’t come back to this property. Booked next stay for next month with another hotel brand. Had good experiences in past with Best Western Plus, very disappointed with this one. Hopefully changes are made to this property.
Positive: We had a good night of sleep and the room was clean Negative: Customer service was absolutely not the best or what was expected. I felt I interrupted the hotel clerks lunch, she looked annoyed that I arrived. She said I could get a 1st floor rm at 3pm, when I came back at 3 I was told I couldnt and they had nothing
When I arrived in CA, my husband & I stayed at another hotel and was given such poor service. So then we booked a room here instead. What a major difference!! Immediately upon check in, the clerk was so friendly and communicative. She was able upgrade us at no extra so we could have the breakfast vouchers included. We got fresh towels when we requested. The breakfast was good. Every staff member was so friendly. Great experience. Id recommend this place to anyone...much appreciated!
Positive: Spacious room. Not expensive. Entrance/lobby looks nice. Friendly staff. Negative: It was non smoking, but smelled like someone smoked in it. Parking lot by stores had a few homeless near by. No signs leading to the lobby. I would recommend this hotel if there was no other choice
My room was nice and clean for the price, two queen beds for me and my two daughters for 5 days. The mattresses are extra firm, great if you have back issues. Security was very pleasant so we did feel safe walking to the car at night. Customer service was lacking, unfortunately. The front desk staff during the day was not very friendly, we there from out of state for a funeral during Christmas time, a little compassion could go a long way. We were supposed to check out on Christmas day but I reserved another day to rest before driving the 13 hours home, informed housekeeping and security. I paid online but hadnt sign in the office, check out is 11 but we took too long, at 12, security was sent to my room to escort me to the front desk or out the room, I apologized and explained again but the manager was on the walkie screaming, that I was supposed to go down an hour ago and to go sign right now or get out of the property, it was so mean the way she was talking, even though the room was paid for already,, I apologized again and said Merry Christmas, I was too emotionally drained to do anything else, and finished getting dressed to go down while the security guard had to stand outside my door. So the place is nice but hopefully you wont have to deal with management. And also, make sure to bring your own rags, I used one of their towels to clean up some juice my daughter wasted, I was told by housekeeping that I would be charged for the towel because we should call the front desk to ask for a rag if we need to clean something up because the towels in the room are not rags. Go figure, never ever heard of this policy in any hotel Ive ever stayed and I have Platinum membership with Best Western.
Stayed 2 nights in August. Had a couple of maintenance issues with the toilet and TV functioning and the front desk was slow to respond. Ice maker broken in building B. However the pool and room was super clean. The balcony was great. I still recommend this hotel as my FIRST choice in Stockton.
Positive: Overall appearance in the morning was nice and quiet. The staff was courteous and helpful. Negative: Needs more security at night. My daughter and I ended up in building C where a lot of obvious drug traffic was going on. We saw a crack pipe in the parking lot and things didnt quiet down until after 3am. I would never stay there alone.
Worst experience me and my family had in a hotel. 1st the bathroom toilet was taken appart, the floors were sticky, the fridge was dirty and there maintenance team lacks common courtesy(just came in without knocking) and they ignored 2 our of 3 requests to fix those issues. Definitely will not step foot in that hotel again. Management needs to step it up!
The customer service is great , very welcoming and nice. but the room I had stayed in w my daughter and husband RM:223-A we found bed bugs !! totally unbelievable we was able to switch to another room. it seems like this might happen before the front desk person wasn’t as surprised. this would be my last and final staying at this hotel! always check your beds
The first room smelled like wet dog. The second room there was hair in the tub drain, sink was dirty, smelled like fresh weed, yellow sheets, and really dirty. Also sketchy people at hotel, people next door were yelling.Doesnt seem like a Best Western. Not a very nice place to stay.Staff was nice. But, made me question the reliability of the brand. Never again for us.
Good clean place. Short on knowledgeable front desk staff.Pre packaged breakfast 6-8:00...why end so early and in room literature states 6-10:00. Breakfast staff is awesome though.Marijuana scent throughout the halls, elevator and outside, but not in room. I dont smoke and I dont care if anyone does, but inside or around the building? Not preferable if you have a kid old enough to know what it is.Ill stay again but as most businesses, they drop the ball on the last 5% which is what most people will focus on.
Our room was very clean and everything worked. Just stained carpet. Front desk staff is very nice and helpful. They just dont answer the phone. The A Building entry hallways smelled like weed all weekend. Monday morning the carpet cleaner was there freshening up. By Tuesday it smells like wet mildewing carpet and weed again.Parking is packed, they give all of the guest a parking pass to put in their window. But its not enforced. Me and my kids came back at 11pm and the parking lots were all full. And alot of them did not have a parking pass in the window. For as much as rooms are they should at least ensure theres well lit, safe parking for their guest. Not direct them to park in the back in the dark or in the Food 4 less parking. Security sits in the lobby for the front desk staff. Safety of the guest is not a priority for this hotel. You would think considering the area, they would beef up the security. Car theft and damage is high at this hotel. We circled for 30 to 40 minutes until a decent parking space was available for 3 of the 4 nights we stayed and never saw security outside checking the cars or in hallways.
The place seems suspicious, lots of loitering individuals and drug addicts roaming around. The doors are damaged as if someone has tried to break into the rooms, it has a bad odor, way too pricey for such awful conditions. We decided not to stay here as we felt our safety and our belongings were at risk. We do not recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay.
Positive: The hotel itself is nice, the staff are friendly, pretty much clean throughout, beds are comfortable, its in an okay location. Negative: What I did not like about this hotel is that they didnt take cash for the deposit they used to take cash and they would double the amount if paid in cash instead of a card but they no longer do this and its quite an inconvenience.
Positive: The room was mostly clean. Negative: I did not like the location. I did not feel confident about parking my car on one side of the hotel without it getting broken into. Also, there were stains on almost everything in the room. All of the towels and the comforters.
Positive: I love the fact that the Hotel come with a refrigerator and a microwave and I also love the fact that the hotel is by Food 4 Less and also the hotel has breakfast in the morning Negative: The only thing I dont like about this hotel is that sometime it takes a long time for the front desk to answer the phone
Positive: It¿s in the same parking lot as Food 4 less. Plenty of breakfast options. Negative: The staff at check-in were not accommodating. King beds are no longer comfortable. The elevator stopped working the night after we checked in. The non smoking rooms SMELL a lot of cigarette smoke. The bed sheets had blood stains on them.
I would give this place zero stars if it was an option. The only good thing about our stay was that the front desk girl was friendly and helpful with checkin/checkout even though she was not able to actually give me a good explanation why I had to run my card twice when it was posted in my account claiming it didnt go through on her end. Lobby smelled like a skunk died in it, room was not very clean, encountered 2 roaches! They provide only a sheet and no blanket, room had a strong odor even though it is a non-smoking room! Area is busy so lots of outside noise, worst hotel experience ever, should have got a clue when the people who checked in prior came back and said they were going somewhere else!
We were DOUBLE CHARGED and they will not pick up their phones to refund us! The hotel felt very unsafe for our little family and the room smelt like pot, and even though the kind customer service at the front gave us another room that felt better, we would not advise stay in here. Do not recommend!!
I have been to some great best westerns, but this one was the worst i have been to. It was dirty, garbage not picked up. People screaming out side their windows to the people below, homeless people hanging outside. Bathrooms had no soap just water. Looks like they added water to the soap to much water. The bathrooms on the second floor did not have access for the handicapped. We went to a wedding and the dance floor falling apart. The table clothes where clean but they had yellow stains on them. It was bad all together.
I booked a room for the weekend of October 1st and 2nd. The rooms was very dirty broken down. Maid service never came to clean the room. People fighting at late a night. Keys would not work. Pool very dirty. Had to walk to the front desk 3 times due to keys not working. Never again.
I was really hoping all these 1 star reviews were wrong. Let me tell you, theyre not! This hotel is just as horrific as all the 1 star reviews. The location of this hotel is definitely not safe. The grounds are littered with trash, our comforter had black stains and cigarette burns on it. We were charged $30 for a pet fee and when we inquired as to why it was so much, we were told its because they deep clean the room after in case the next guest is allergic. Let me tell you, this room has NEVER been deep cleaned. I doubt the room is ever really cleaned to begin with. Do NOT stay here!!
BW+ in Stockton, CA is a disaster! We stay in BW a number of times each year and have always had a great experience! This time, however, was a different story. We booked thIs particular stay through a 3rd party, as a last minute decision. This property is absolutely atrocious. A gentleman was dismantling a car in the parking lot!! (not an exaggeration) Our room, in the back of the property has clearly been a smoking room in the past And poorly cleaned. Because of the insecure parking area, we chose to bring everything we had in our car, including our bicycles into our room. Upon entering the room we found that cleaning rags had been left in the fridgeThe chair in the room is absolutely disgustingThe bed is REALLY bad - horrible springs and no blanket, duvet is stained. Etc.All this to say, please, for the sake of future travelers, please do something about this hotel. We chose a Best Western Plus as we anticipated a higher quality experience. This location does not live up to that brand.P.S. as I was writing this a cockroach about an inch long flew out of somewhere and landed on the wall. (Pic)I killed it and immediately realized that there’s no trash can in the room.P.P.SThe breakfast lady was SUPER NICE! I wish I remembered her name, she gets a shoutout!
Positive: The front desk staff was very hard working, polite, and kind. Negative: This is an unsafe hotel. Many people living here. ¿Working girls¿ and the people clearly in charge of them or using their services were in and out constantly and all over the parking lot. Hotel room was disgustingly dirty. We had to change hotels.
Pretty average hotel. The beds are a little sunk in and springy. They only have two small pillows on the king beds. I went to ask for extra pillows, but they did not have any. We found hairs of past guests stuck in the bath towels in the bathroom... I strongly believe they need to put more effort and and invest in their rooms. I understand its Stockton.. but its definitely not worth the price.
Positive: Beautiful hotel Negative: It was gated but not very secure. People were smoking in the pool area and there was garbage all around on the ground as well as overflowing from garbage cans. Flying bugs in my hotel room like gnats. People were smoking marijuana in the hotel.
None of the perimeter locks work so anyone could wander the halls at night. My door key wouldnt unlock the room so we had to go back to the front desk. They gave us another key, didnt work. Went back to the help desk and they said some one come by to fix it. I am a disabled veteran and after 30minutes of sitting on the floor waiting my wife went back to the help desk. 20 minutes later someone showed up to let us in.
First impressions were great, friendly front desk who where working extremely hard. I walked into a nice lobby and thought it would be a nice place for Stockton. I was thankful to receive a free parking ticket to put in my dash (most likely to confuse the cops) which permitted me to park under the red and blue disco light stand. On my way to building C I was greeted by nice gentleman doing push-ups by the armored side-door who was kind enough to move out of the way for me to get in. I suppose the doormen get different uniforms than the front desk which is understandable in the 90 degree plus weather. Someone partying down the hall was clearly smoking (not something I particularly blame the hotel for) and their DJ was fire. The dank hallways were well seasoned like a slow roast whose tenderness cannot come from a short cooking session. Once in our room we were greeted by a loud AC that left the room tasting a bit humid but thankful it worked it’s charm and cooled the place down to a slightly moist mid-70s feeling. The pillows were modern 2’x2’ fluff things that surely weren’t just old pillows squished into a smaller pillow case, but modern amenities not commonly known to people of my class. Our particular room was right next to the elevator which gave a seductive moan every time it was used, which it was frequently, at all hours of the night. The pool was still closed late in June 2021 “pending inspection” which is probably not our gracious corporate overlord’s fault. Breakfast was decent, and just like a tour of Willy Wonkas chocolate factory, you need vouchers to get them. Overall an amazing steal, well worth the $60 extra over a lame travelodge and the same price paid for the boujee BW in LA.
Exciting place to stay! Tired of regular boring hotels where all you do is sleep and eat breakfast? In just one night a car near ours was broken into, some other altercation the police showed up for in the morning, crazy guy screaming at 4am, contact high from the pot smoke (the reason all the reviews say it smells like pot is because it does) and bunch of parties in the hotel. The front desk staff looked overwhelmed (first room they gave us was occupied, second had no toiletries... whatever).Unfortunately the fun ends early, breakfast ends at 8am on Saturdays (yes, ends not starts), hard to get to if youve been up every hour or so with the noise. On plus side beds were good and rooms pretty clean with exception of smoke smell. So take a chance, hope your car survives and enjoy!
Positive: Staff was very friendly and nice. Negative: Five dead roaches in room. Three in bathroom, one in closet, one my air conditioner. Bedding quality very poor/unmatched and stained sheets and mattress very old/unstable on bed frame when you sit on end of bed. Parking very difficult around 7 pm.
Positive: Maintence is fast and house keeping staff is wonderful. The front office make you feel like family. Lastly security staff are more then just that! Open doors and help you carry too. Negative: Yeah...being told i have to leave after 21days when other guests never have to and Im 72...its hard on me. BUT rules are rules.
Not the best experience. Easiest thing was the check in and check out. Asked for non smoking and they gave me a room that smelled like nothing but cigarette smoke. The fridge didnt work and smelled so bad. Ac for the room was not working. Blankets where dirty. Honestly I didnt think they even changer the covers fornthe beds before we got there and the one time they came in to clean. They only cleaned 1 bed. Like umm we got a room with 2 queens. Why only do 1 bed.
Nice rooms if you can survive the walk through the purple haze. Ive been in dispensaries that had better odor control. But the staff are nice and the people given vouchers to have a place to sleep arent dangerous. Security at the desk. Extracurricular activities easily accessible.
Very comfortable environment in room. Breakfast in the morning. Very professional friendly fellow working in the lobby very accurate, and quick check in. Make sure you have all your bedding on room bed like blanket. Maintenance man very respectful and professional as well.....lol
What a nightmare. Security Gates don’t work, lady at desk gave us someone else’s room keys, we open the door and find someone else’s belongings. We go get the keys to a different room and the poor people from the wrong room can’t get into their room because they gave us keys to their room. Two towels for two queen beds. One hand towel. Nobody answers the phone when you call the front desk. $155 dollars waisted on a horrible facility. We will never stay here ever again. Smells like marijuana in the halls, elevator, and outside.
If you let housekeeping in your room, take your valuables with you...mine disappeared. Cops here several times a day, at least this week. And yes, the inside always smells like weed, even hours after they deep cleaned the hallway carpets. Only stay if you must and watch your stuff (it wont be safe in your car either).
Positive: Absolutely nothing Negative: My room, building C, Room 353 was broken into and all of my wife, my kids and my clothing were stepped on. The person, went thru my luggages. Most of out clouthings were damged. Nothing was missing. I filed the police report on that day.
This hotel should be stripped of the Plus . It is located in a shady part of town, and people are coming and going at all hours of the day and night, many apparently not registered guests in the hotel, since they were waiting for someone to let them in through the back doors. The room we were in was dirty, with spots on carpets and upholstery. The un-carpeted floors were sticky, and we had to use our Lysol wipes to clean these parts. The hallways of the hotel were also dirty and in severe lack of cleaning and maintenance. The parking situation is horrible, and I was anxious to get to my car in the morning, but fortunately nobody had tried to break into or steal the car. We stayed for one night, and couldnt get out of the place fast enough in the morning. We had a reservation for another night a couple of days later, but we cancelled this and found better accommodations elsewhere in the area.Very bad value for your money. Dont stay here if you want to feel safe, both from shady characters and Covid-19.
The pictures of this place online were very nice. BUT when we got there the area was NOT COOL AT ALL!!!! I was afraid to leave ny car out overnight. Its a bunch of dope fiends on the premises. Young guys pimping girls in/out the rooms. People looked shady everywhere I turned. The lady at the front desk was hella anti social and VERY RUDE!!! Any questions I had I asked another friendly lady for help with a blanket. They brought it up right away. Paper thin walls, ppl slamming doors, loud noises from other guests. The lobby was beautiful BUT DONT BE FOOLED!!! If I had known all this I wouldnt have EVER stayed there. NEVER AGAIN!!! Plus- good food choices and close to anything you wanted to do. Cons-people pimping, smoking cigarettes in their rooms smelled stale. I had pre arranged my trip but didnt realize I made a terrible decision to stay there. Upon check-out I was SO READY TO GO ASAP!!! Its a older looking hotel from the outside but upon entering the lobby its very pretty. Rooms look old, bathroom was nice. I felt like I was being watched in a weird way just saying. The weather was very nice that day. Overall it was not a good place to stay and glad to be home. I will continue to travel but maybe I need to ask other questions up front going forward. No offense but dont stay here its not what you want. 😕☹👎👎👎👎👎👎
Positive: Nothing Negative: Had to go back to check in twice because cards would not work. Bed covering had cigarette burn holes and was thread bare. Room had old smoke smell, phone didn¿t work, breakfast was too early and ended at 8am. At checkout we were given wrong receipt.
The place was dirty, and smelled. A car in the parking lot had its window smashed in. The smoke alarm was hanging out and the toilet seat was broken. Our room had a really strong smell beyond the general stink of the place. We were unable to stay and had to go to the Hilton nearby.
Positive: Friendly staff, clean room and they serve a good breakfast Negative: 1.the loud Elevator bell constantly going off people going in and out all night. 2. Fighting in the hallway several times all night. 3. My room phone rang 1 am. Nobody calling for me. 4. Fighting in the parking lot. 5. Security latch on door feel off.
The staff at the hotel are very pleasant, kind, and attentive to the guests needs. I love that the coffee is available and fresh all day. The rooms are clean, spacious, with microwave, coffee maker, fridge, and blow dryer. Some of the rooms have a balcony or patio with furniture. I slept very comfortably in the queen sized bed. The bathroom was clean and ready for use. I really appreciate the fact that I didnt have to clean the shower before use like Ive had to do at other hotels. Reina in housekeeping is a total pleasure to talk to and super friendly with a great smile. The front desk clerks are very nice and welcoming and always smiling. The fireplace in the lounge is super nice and the bartenders offer great company. Really enjoyed the pool! I appreciate being able to use the business center to print my contacts. The hotel is very well kept and the parking lot is patrolled all night (thanks). Three breakfast was really good and I really liked having biscuits and gravy.
Great hotel. Great customer service. Very polite respectful. Hotel room was rad spacious. Got the king suite I believe. Plenty of room for 5 people. Housekeeping was helpful whenever needed. The only reason I didnt give them 5 stars was because the room reeled of marijuana when we checked in. Like crazy strong. I got a real bad headache from that. The bed smelled like it the bathroom did too. We had to leave the windows open to get most of it out. But even then the bathroom smell just stayed... They should really check as many rooms as possible before handing them out to new guests. I doubt they had enough staff so I dont blame them.
Unfortunately I didn’t have as great of an experience at this hotel. Rooms were ridiculously dirty, as soon as we walked in, there was a used floss pick and toe nail clippings in the room. The room itself had a gross smell. When I let the front desk know about the room the next morning, she dismissively said that they were short staffed. The furniture was stained with mystery stains. On top of all this, the a/c made loud rattling sounds all night, the phone did not work, and the towels we had were stained. I did expect a little better from Best Western, considering how nice the lobby is. I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you’re in Stockton. Super gross and dissatisfying!
This is my go-to hotel in Stockton, CA. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly, and they dont allow noisy parties. The hot breakfast is unbeatable, and I always feel safe. This hotel has interior corridors and key card entry into every building and amenity (such as the pool, or the gym). The price is very reasonable and they really live up the the Best Western standard. Staff is courteous and friendly. The rooms are immaculately clean.
The room was nice and clean. However, no wash rags or towels were in my room. When I called the front desk at 10:35 PM to get some, I had to call about 6 times before even reaching someone. The front desk staff said there was no one to bring towels to the room and to come to the lobby. None of the current state mandated face mask regulations were enforced in the lobby where other people were waiting for service or getting checked in. The door to the outside was also propped open with a beer can so anyone could enter the building. Long story short, I ended up having to dry myself off with a shirt. For 110$ I would expect at least the bare minimum.
Overall its a nice hotel in Stockton. The breakfast is varied and good, the staff is helpful, there is a pool and hot tub. In the exercise room there is a weight bench, one treadmill that works, and a treadmill and exercise bike that do not. Housekeeping is generally good, though with two people staying in a room with two beds I would expect two bottles of shampoo(+conditioner) and sometimes there wasnt even one-but generally they are very on top of things and even fold designs into the towels. Really, the star of the Best Western is the hotel bartender Nickie. She makes the stay more fun, really knows her job, and is a big reason I stayed in this hotel rather than another. Five stars for Nickie!
Walls are thin & can hear a baby crying through them. My room was kitty corner to the elevator & it sounded as if the motor to raise & lower it was in my room. There is a grocery store across the parking lot to buy food. I had a fridge & microwave in my room. Otherwise everything else was up to par.
Stayed here a year ago, can’t say we were too happy with the room and front desk service. Year later I wasn’t too convinced about staying there again, still scheduled our room and this time it was great! The check in was super fast and very friendly people, lobby looked nice and room was renovated as well ! So much better, and so much more cleaner than last time. the upgrade is awesome, new paint, furniture and carpet ! Will definitely schedule whenever we are back in Stockton.
This hotel was a little rough around the edges. The outside and lobby area look nice, however the halls had a foul odor and the bed was very sunken in and uncomfortable. The elevator had a poltergeist feel to them. The room was pretty clean and the bathroom was spacious. The breakfast was really good! The surrounding area felt safe enough and it was easy to find. We stayed one night and the room served its purpose. I probably wont stay here again.
The building we were assigned to wreaked of marijuana and cigarettes on all three floors as did the inside of our room. The guests were loud. People who werent even hotel guests were loitering in and around the building harassing guests. Tiles were falling off of the walls, fire sprinklers were detaching from the ceiling. The carpet looked stained and filthy. The heater/AC wasnt functioning properly. The shelves in the refrigerator were so slanted that nothing would stay on them. The room service menu was all sticky. There is no bottled water in any of the vending machines. I could go on and on about what is wrong with this place. For $150 I could have stayed at the Marriott and had a decent nights sleep. I feel robbed and scammed. If I could give 0 stars instead of 1, I would. When I checked in there was already a woman making complaints to the front desk, but they did nothing about it.
Terrible. Got assigned to a smoking building (did not know those even exist anymore). Our room had ZERO linens. No one answered the front desk when we called and called to ask where the towels were. Finally got an answer and was told We have a towel shortage. I dont have any here. But then she found some in the laundry area and delivered them to the wrong room. We ended up having to move rooms at 11:30 p.m. And the sheets on my daughters bed in the first room were stained.
The rooms are good, clean, and comfortable. The staff is okay. The maids are really nice. The maintenance man is really nice too. The location isnt the best, but the hotel is nice for the area that its in. And it is completely gated ( besides the parking.) If you make reservations a few days in advance the prices are awesome! The only thing i dont like is that there are always people in the stair wells by the doors. Always Just sitting there for hours asking people for cigarettes or sleeping on the stairs.... But besides that its a good hotel to stay at for the area its in.Adding to my last review.... There was a nasty spider in my room that surprised me to say the least lol. When I called the front desk, they moved me to a new room that was spider free :). The next morning I went to the office to extend my stay longer. The manager Taylor helped me. She is awesome! Totally handled the situation properly. Her customer service skills are too notch. Because of the way she handled the situation with the spider, I will definitely be returning. More people should have customer service skills like hers. Just saying!
The customer service was terrible everyone was mean and had an attitude. The only nice people were the guys and the house keeper lady. The rooms were nice too but my cats kept going under the bad and above the cloth that had a hole in it where they got in. I also saw a skinny cockroach on the wall in my room.
The smell is horid and the room was filthy. Lipstick and makeup stains among other unidentifiable stains on the sheets mattresses and bedding. Just got here after an 8 hour drive and dont think well even be able to sleep here for the 5 hours we need to... its absolutely disgusting!
The employees at the hotel were extremely nice but the hotel is absolutely subpar. Trash under the bed, the bathtub drain didn’t work, the tv remote didn’t work and I was told someone would be up to fix it but no one showed up. Finally, lots of construction going on! I was exhausted and needed to sleep, so I had no choice but to stay.On a positive note, the breakfast was very good and the area was clean.Sorry but stay away from this property until the renovation is complete and the cleaning staff is trained properly.
It was very clean which was important to us. Personnel were very friendly and courteous, even the security guard gave us a great smile and hello. Only negative was we had room 101 which is next to a door going out and is extremely loud when closing. Very loud. When we come to town next time we will be staying with you but definitely request a room away from that door..L.C.
On 01/30/2021 i made a reservation,In this hotel, Which Im not satisfied at all the cleaning staff took a backpack that does not correspond to them, went in to put on beds in rooms 249c and 250c and towels, which is a report and today I did not receive any response, a bad streak of which it is not pleasant to experience is better to avoid. In this case the cleaning staff came in to let and towels in the bathroom and there was where they took the black backpack #249 and 250 in these two rooms were the ones that book that day and what number should I call?
This hotel is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at. Its peaceful and quiet all hours of the day. Rooms are immaculately clean. Staff is extremely friendly. Jaccuzi is amazing (hope it reopens soon) (stupid covid 19). The breakfast is to die for.Mind you I work on the road and have stayed here at least 10 different times for a week to 3 months. And every time I enjoy every day here.
Rooms severely dated. Need upgrades in rooms. Also cleanliness could be better. Room had an odd smell but wasnt overbearing so dealt with it, then found food left in fridge from previous guests. Was on the road for 10 hours so too tired to ask for different room. *update* went for dinner and returned to have no available parking, and at least 10 people walking in the parking lot, who were obviously not guests. Whats the point of having a parking pass if nobody bothers to secure the lot? My family did not feel safe on the property. I will never stay here again, and will advise others who value the safety of their families to stay away also.
Ive stayed here multiple times now and every experience has been wonderful. Very friendly and helpful staff and comfortable rooms. The continental breakfast is really good, the potatoes are straight up delicious. Wish I had remembered a swimsuit because the pool looks so tempting. Any time I need a spot to stay in the area Ill be coming back.
The staff as always is really great and the breakfast is pretty awesome for being included with your stay. Im glad there renovating the rooms it was definitely time. Now if the pot smokers would just have respect for the other guest and not smoke around the building it would sure be a lot nicer.
I stayed in Best Western Plus Heritage Inn for 3 days and 3 nights. When we entered in room area. Hotel was smelling like newly painted. I asked staff and she said they painted 1 month ago but still smell was really bad.Room was clean but bed dressing was not as shows in all pictures online. Two Queen beds, one office table, one sofa chair, TV, fridge, microwave, iron, hair dryer was in room. Room service was not bad.The best thing we Loved was their breakfast. If was really good, a lot of options fruits, tea, coffee, milk, yogurt, butter, cheese, 4 types of juices, bread, jame, scrambled eggs, grilled breakfast potatoes, pancakes, cereals and a lot.The thing I recommend management is do a follow up contact to customer after they leave so you can improve and customer can refer you.
Not a bad hotel, front desk was very nice and helpful. They even signed me up for the rewards program, thank you. Room was updated and clean . most importantly it dis not smell, and the bed was comfortable. I stayed on the third floor as I did not want to worry about noise from above. Breakfast was great, good selection. I would stay here again. Only reason Im giving 4 stars is the area can be rough if you are not use to it, doesnt bother me any.
The staff were friendly and the room was clean. Upon my leaving I discovered that my Laptop and Denture were stolen out of the room, I reported it to the staff she had maintenance do a key check and informed me that no one had been in the room ....So tell me where is my laptop??Due to the fact that I hadn’t been in the room since the day before. Not HAPPY about it! I called the Corporate Office and I’m waiting for a call back.
Positive: Close to where Ii was going Negative: The first room, had no shower curtain and stepped on a big roach. Was moved across the hall to a 116 and came back at night to see another roach inside and the cleaning girl tried to pass it off as a water bug. The gate near the didn¿t work
This was one of the worst hotels Ive ever stayed at. Once I entered the room there was a cockroach! I told the front desk if I found any other things to advice him so we change rooms. The room was very dirty there were nails,hair,q-tips, the trash was completely filled. And I think there were insects on the bed because the bed was very itchy. In the morning there was another cockroach on the wall near the tv. I went to use the laundry room and they only had 2 washers and 2 dryers and one washer was being used and the other one was done washing. I had to wait an hour because the washer that had finished had clothes and nobody came to get them. I advised the front desk and they did Nothing about it they just said to wait if someone comes to get it. I put it in the dryer and the hair from the dryer got all over the clothes. the clothes got worse than how it was at first.
This is the worst experience EVER. The door on the lock is Broken! I just got to my room and two minutes later the power went out I drove over 9 hours! It is raining, hard winds outside with no heater to keep the room warm. It is really cold in here. I am a student and need to charge my laptop, and phone however, I cant do H.W because the power is out and I have no way of charging my electronic devices. Nor can I heat up my food. I also cant shower properly because I cant use a hair dryer to dry my hair. The room( B-WING) also smells like cigarette smoke. I got a non-smoking room I have asmtha.I paid $180 for this UNACCEPTABLE service. I want a reimbursement.
The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and nice. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Tried there breakfast, pretty good for being free. Did not like the absolutely paper thin walls. I felt like the other guess was in my room. I could hear his full conversation on the phone. He was up all night too. I felt like I had to be quiet, because I didnt want anyone listening in on my conversation. I would never book a long stay here, but for a night; maybe two I would.
Feels secure, actually is ghetto. If you value your belongings, DO NOT STAY THERE!!! Both of our vehicles were broken into. They broke a window in one car. FOR NOTHING. There was nothing of value in the car. Security is no doubt a part of the theft ring. I believe front desk is, as well. Dont stay there!!! After speaking with the officer who took the report, I just wouldnt ever stay in Stockton again. Not a friendly place for travelers.
Overall one of my worst stays in a long while. Here are the details: in room refrigerator was not working properly and very loud - had to unplug it at night. Cockroaches in the bathroom. Toilet ran for several minutes after each flush - very loud. Walls were thin, could hear the next rooms toilets running all night. Sounded like garbage compactors. Breakfast buffet was good, but ran out of food at 930 even though it was open until 10. No coffee. When asked to refill staff had a bad attitude. Will avoid next time.
The facility could use some updating, BUT the room was clean, shower was strong, no obvious deficiencies. The mattress was too soft for our liking. Breakfast was decent, but lacked something to make it special. The $108 cost for the first night was a good deal. I would have rated the hotel 4 star, but the second night we were charged $140 (Sat.) and we did not know that ahead of time.
Only certain rooms on certain floors have been renovated. Room service is non-existent - had to request towels, a hairdryer, and a tv remote - had to go down to the front desk since they were never brought to the room. One of two rooms was a mess when we checked in - empty pizza boxes all over, no shower curtain, wet towels on the floor. Still checked in and was told by the front desk the room would be ready in an hour. When we returned they had given the room to someone else. My two sons were already checked in to the one room that was ready at check-in - when the front desk found a room it was not in the same building as my children. They were on the ground floor next to the exit, and the external door was broken and would not close - serious safety issue. Homeless people were camped in the hallway of one of the buildings that was under renovation too. Even the security guard warned us about not leaving anything in our cars because it was an unsafe area. And to top it off, they refused to honor the AAA discount I was quoted at check in.
Inside the hotel gates, the place was very nice. Room was clean and decorated nice. Property was clean with nice gardens. Although not in a great neighborhood, I felt pretty safe behind locked gates in the hotel. The parking was a little sketchy. Very crowded and limited and questionable people hanging out in the parking lot. Also the staff was less than friendly and helpful. If you can get past the parking and staffing concerns, the hotel itself is nice. Not the best for disabled. The elevator in my building was broken and staff did not mention this before booking me into the room. Also, the cobblestone pavers around the hotel are difficult to walk on.
We stayed here Saturday Sept 14th, while our room was decent, the parking isnt. Went to load up to find that my truck had been broken into. Even with nighttime security in the parking lot the thieves were able to clean my vehicle of every electronic item I had, including an electric handicap scooter. I truly suspect that this was an inside job as the desk clerk immediately stated that they are not responsible for any thefts, even though they have a security team. There wont be a next time. Hope you thieves enjoy what Ive worked for..
Clean, great service and excellent breakfast buffet. The front desk was very accommodating in adding two teenagers to our online deal from Pipeline. Theyre remodeling right now so some of the facilities are scattered. Regardless, we were very impressed by the breakfast buffet which was both filling and delicious. Location is a might sketchy and the temperature of the building is a little low in winter, but the rooms were warm and clean. You cant ask for much more when youre on a drive through California.
I came to Stockton for a work related class, I brought my family with me, we booked at the Best Western because it was close to the class, had availability, and was reasonably priced. Upon arriving at the hotel, I was impressed with the cleanliness of the lobby (despite the a/c being broken and it was 107 degrees at 5pm). The room was pretty nice looking too. Within 15 minutes of my 9 month old crawling around in our bedroom, his knees and feet were black with dirt. One of the front desk ladies was empathetic, the mamanger was not so much. We looked at a different room which had the same issue. The manager eventually offered us a little price reduction, but still didnt seem very warm hearted. We requested sheets to put on the floor which took hours to arrive. The pool area wasnt very impressive either as far as cleanliness. Pretty good breakfast though!
They told us 120. We signed up for the free rewards deal, get here ready to check in... its 150. Get to our room... 1. Tv remote doesnt work. I ask for help... they give me a new remote and extra batteries... still doesnt work 2. Theres a used tampon outside the buildings door to get in. We are building B.. theres a used tampon. Right there. 3. In our room there are cigarette burn holes in the curtains. Three good sized stains. 4. Theres hair stuck to the side of the marble sink. Along with unexplained and unidentified stains on the walls and floors, and counter by the TV. 5. The security guards... not that I am against heavy set individuals... but id be surprised that after all the cigarettes I see them chain smoking that they could run to save one of our lives.. on their barely above minimum wage shifts. Not cool. Im literally sleeping here hoping our car isnt stolen. If it is, im betting inside job. Im getting a tweaker vibe from this area. Im hoping they will redeem themselves when i check out and tell them of all this.Upon leaving we were checked out by a lady in a pink sweat suit and matching hood. Tight clothing. At that point I was just ready to leave and not say anything. There was a trail of blood inside the building the used tampon was found outside. My fiance has photos.I also got folliculitis and im guessing it was the dirty tub. I use my own clean razors so im unsure how else I could have gotten it... unless there was bacteria on the sheets. I was scared to sleep there.
Unfortunately, I booked a room sight unseen and didnt even make it to the front desk. The sun was setting, and the parking lot was crawling with sketchy individuals, I was terrified to get out of my car and leave it there overnight. If you are a single woman, I hope you read this review before booking. Find somewhere else.
Great Value. Clean Comfortable Rooms, Security Conveniently located near Delta College and UOP. The complementary breakfast is Breakfast not just cereal, the menu changes daily. The rooms near the elevators and ice machines are noisy, but if you are accustomed to sleeping in noisy environments like I am the noise shouldnt wake you or prevent you from sleeping. I heard no noise from neighbors other than an occasional opening or closing of adjacent room door. The drapes kept the light out sufficiently. The common areas smelled clean and sanitized. The rooms clean and sanitized as well. I would give 5 stars, but the back parking area is dimly lit. My Stockton good neighbor hotel for the frugal.
The ladies at the front desk were terrific. Drink tickets with my room reservation? Awesome!! Did I mention waffle maker at the breakfast buffet? Plus theres toppings you can mix in the batter. Im pretty sure I invented a thing. Oreos, nuts, and cinnamon inside the waffle, with caramel and whipped cream topping. Also, they have a guard patrolling the parking lot, because hey, its Stockton. And the lobby has a fancy feel, which is like 50 percent of the fanciness experience of a fancy hotel, really.
We have stayed at this hotel lots of times. However our last stay had several unpleasant experiences. Lack of parking to the extreme. A very unpleasant person at the front desk when one of us needed a key. We had gone to a friends for dinner. One of us left early without their key. One of us had to leave the party to bring a key. Even after a phone call. We have the same last name and address.
I usually come to this best western when i come from alaska, washington and to california. I dont usually have a problem until the other day they double charged me for a room. I was confused and attempted to call them (all day i must add) when i finally got a hold of them they said i was charged extra for smoking in the room...i was confused and angry for the fact my girlfriend and i dont smoke and our son has ashma. I couldnt even talk to the lady she was rude, i had to hang up but i am going to fight this and get ahold of coperate or whoever but they wont be making an easy dollar off me. I will keep staying at best western just not this one ever again.
90 % of the times we had stay at best western the places had been supper clean, worth the money paid per night, locations are convenient and most of them; not much noise for a good night resting.the last 10% has been some of the $50.00-$70.00 dollars per night and reflects somewhat. (you get what you pay for)
Nice hotel very well secured with walls. The staff is very nice and helpful. The breakfast is great. Eggs and Sausage. They offer 1 free glasses of beer or wine per person in the bar. (A theater you can not and should not miss.)Lots of laughter. And a cutie of a miss behind the bar.

2022-06-16All Best Westerns are obviously not the same. Our stay at the Best Western in Needles, CA was most pleasant. However, this Best Western was a disaster. Why register online, and check-in online? The reception received by my partner and I (wheelchair bound) by Carla and the other lady working the reception area was totally unacceptable. Carla refused to verify my identity by walking to the door and looking out. Her partner took no initiative to assist. The room had an odor of being smoked in, and the toilet continually ran as we viewed the room. We had been charged an extra $100 to our Visa in case the room was damaged upon check out. We passed on the room and found other accommodations where we were treated fairly and with respect. The location of this facility is certainly not desirable. Disappointed, to say the least.

2021-12-31Giving this place 3 stars is generous and I only gave it that high a rating because everyone who worked there was very nice. The rooms; we got 2 rooms one of them the bathroom wasnt cleaned(leftover soap bar&stuff on sink, nasty) the other had stained floor and stains on the sheets. The walls are paper thin I could hear the people next door phone ring and entire conversation and they never came to clean the room the entire time we were there. Other stuff; Everyday we were there (4 days) we had to go get new room and gate keys because they kept canceling them like we were leaving. Good things; The breakfast was good almost anything you could want. Eggs, sausage, waffles, biscuits and gravy ect.... And like I said everyone was very nice.

2022-02-20The rooms are respectable with microwave, mini refrigerator, coffee pot, and a great breakfast so much food to choose from and tasty too. However parking was limited near my room. I parked on the other side of the hotel lot, far from my room making it a bit hard to carry luggage. I made several trips to and from the car to the room which was on the 2nd floor.Friendly staff but really hard to get them on their room phone. No answer when calling the desk. For the most part this was a nice place to stay.

2022-05-22I’ve stayed in best westerns in several states and this is by far the worst. The only redeeming quality of this location is the breakfast and the nice older man who checks the breakfast list. The rooms didn’t feel very clean. There are obvious repairs that need to be done (part of the shower head hanging) and despite having the (service please) tag on the door, the rooms were never serviced.I spent the last several days surrounded by rooms who are openly smoking weed on their balconies, and the entrance from the pool to the rooms smells like weed. The pool area was full of loud obnoxious people swearing, and the overall feeling was not a safe/family stay. The parking is scarce at best, and any overflow parking does not feel safe. The location as a whole is one of the sketchier areas I’ve stayed, and there is no feeling of security when you have to park “around the back.” The parking lot runs into the food-4-less parking lot where we encountered drug users in the bushes.I didn’t have high hopes for Stockton… but I thought it would be better than this.

2022-01-31Friendly staff, clean room. Wait staff was kind, so was the bedding/cleaning staff. Front desk was pleasant daily. The WiFi was good. We felt safe there. All gates have electronic locks, and they have security. The parking lot and all walkways are lighted. We will stay again.

2022-05-16I have to say I was very dissatisfied with this hotel. I always use BEST WESTERN PLUS, and I have to admit that this was the worst stay ever. I should of know as soon as I walked up to the hotel room door. It was like if someone had forced entry previous to my arrival. The only reason we stayed, was we arrived around 9:35 at night, after a long day. The room had a stinch, and in the middle of the night the bathroom sink was backed up with dirty water, which led to a HUGE water leak in the restroom. I noticed the leak in the morning, while walking in the restroom to begin my morning. Socks had immediately gotten soaked with water!!!! Coffee machine was non operable (broken) no blow dryer or iron for my family. Carpet had cigarette burns, and when I spoke to the lady at the front desk, she mentioned that that room is usually occupied by an BEST WESTERN employee, that lives there. Did not make any sense to me at all why an employee would be living in this room. This was in room 225 building B.Please do your research prior to reservations.

2022-06-03The room was okay & I liked the lil patio. It was just upsetting that the A.c didnt work well, luckily there was a breeze and we could leave the sliding door open. the pool was dirty & closed which was surprising because it was a weekend and it looked like the hotel was at capacity because of the big event in town. And the hot tub wasnt any better. If not for that it would have been a way better visit.

2022-01-31The room was nice but a few problems. We got the suite that had two TVs but both TVs didnt work. The one in the livingroom was frozen on the direct tv screen and the other tv in the bedroom wouldnt change channels, my husband called the front desk but we were told nobody was on site at the time to fix them so we had to watch tv on our phone. One of the towels had some nasty brown looking stuff on it so my husband asked housekeeping for more towels because nobody answered the phone at the front desk and one of the towels she gave us looked like it had mascara smeared on it. One of the blankets that was on the bed was very torn and tattered. For the price we paid for a suite, I really didnt expect these kind of problems at all

2022-05-23Positive: Comfort and security. Also the towels were so soft! I dont know what you did with the towels but it was so remarkable I had to mention it. I appreciated all of the available amenities. Please dont change that! Negative: The doors... I know they are in the process of switching the locks and such. I hated that the outside doors and room doors slammed shut.
