I teach piano and voice privately and this is my go to music store. Good selection, especially if you teach Junior Music Festival or Certificate of Merit piano students. If they dont have something in stock, they get it right away and call when it comes in. Also, teachers get a discount. Cant beat it.
The Place to get sheet music for any instruments! Because the knowledgeable and friendly staffs so if I am on the way, I dont mind stop by to pick up some lesson books for my students. Even though I can order most of the music online, I still enjoy coming in here and get lost in the music :)

As a music teacher, OTM is the absolute best. Pasadena is soooo lucky to have a store of this caliber in our community. Even if youre not directly in Pasadena, its worth the drive to buy everything you need and browse through all the beautiful (Henle!) editions. The store has almost every book imaginable that you would ever need, both as a teacher and as a student. Many of my students opt to shop here instead of ordering online because of the store experience. Knowledgeable people work there, helping with instrumental rentals and book purchases. The owner was a Suzuki piano teacher professionally for many years, and is an absolute joy to communicate with all things music. Cheers :)

2019-05-28Bertrands has outstanding service. Everyone that Ive had the pleasure of dealing with here has been incredibly knowledgeable and seems to be willing to go to any lengths to assist the customer. the instruments here are also beautiful and make me wish I could play all of them. Which reminds me it seems like they offer lessons too! Hmm...And of course each time Ive been in there Beethoven is playing in the background, most recently the 6th symphony. Keep up the great work!

2018-02-04I LOVE this place. I hit this store up regularly for woodwind reeds and sheet music. The selection of sheets is pretty big, and youre bound to find some gems here. The service is pretty nice as well.

2021-06-14I love going to the only surviving sheet music store in Pasadena. As a piano teacher I constantly need books for students. But lately I cant find the books I need at Bertrands. The music stacks get thinner and thinner. Even the standard repetoire like Keith Snell Essential Piano Music is in short supply. Please keep at least the books that sell in stock so I am not forced onto to Amazon with everyone else. I want to support my local business but you make it hard when you keep shorting the stock. 2019-09-03Nice and friendly staff. Very helpful. We went for a required saxophone guide book for my sons elementary school music class. They had it there. Location is a little hard to find. But Google maps got us there. Parking was right in front.

2019-09-17Before I ran to the reviews to post a negative review, I decided to give Bertrands a call to see if I was missing something. Basically, what was originally a miscommunication turned out be corrected by Bertrands. I am so glad that we went with this company out of the 3 that were recommended. My problem was resolved quickly and without my blood pressure going through the roof. I have full confidence that we are with an honest company with excellent customer service as their main concern. Thank you for treating us like valued customers. If my daughter plans to stick with Violin, we definitely will be purchasing our first violin from Bertrands. Thank you!

2019-07-17People in the store know about the music very well and theyre friendly. They have a nice and comprehensive selections of sheet music. If you need a music sheet, thats the place to go. Prices are reasonable as well.

2019-09-14Very knowledgeable staff. You can rent online which reward my daughters fear that what she wanted to play wouldnt be available. The only downside is theyre are only ~4 parking spots for Bertrands and every other spot in the parking lot are reserved for other businesses. It took longer to find parking than to pick up the rental for my daughter.
