Customer service, including dealing with the supervisor, was very disappointing. I got the feeling that since the market is good and the homes are in demand, they dont really feel a need to work for the customer. The neighborhood is very nice and we enjoy the location, feel, and amenities. The quality of the construction is not good. Due to our timetable, we were not able to select any upgrades. The base features for these homes is very basic. The quality of the materials that are included in the base are the cheapest and poorest quality Ive seen, especially in a house that is not exactly low end. The carpet is the cheapest version I believe you can get . Show stains and already shows sign of wear within the first month. The online site for requesting services for repairs seems great in theory, until you make a request and get no response for over a month. Again, you get the feeling that once they have your money, you dont matter and if they drag out the repairs long enough the 1 year window will expire.Be very wary of these homes. Perhaps if you are able to choose your own upgrades youll have better luck, but if you get what is included, be prepared to spend more money to replace everything to a higher quality on your own.
Our experience with the main office was really nice. However, we had a very bad experience with their interior designer whose name is Kristina. She is unprofessional. If I want to make it short, unfortunately I need to say that she is DISHONEST and NOT trustable and of course she does NOT care about your satisfaction. She wants you leave her office asap. She takes advantage of your lack of knowledge (like the due date and your rights). She claims most of the items do not exist and they are out of stock, however at the same time she made those items available for our neighbor. Our last appointment with her was the most unpleasant one. She was cleaning her office during our appointment and kept telling us that we are the last visitors and she cannot wait to go home, at the end she claimed one of her item is missing which was really offensive to us, she finally found that item, however she messed up with our order and completely wrote something else and after we left the office and realized her mistake and ask her to explain, she easily said you were supposed to read it! She really does not deserve to be the interior designer for this real estate. People are spending lots of money and they absolutely deserve a more professional, more responsible, and trustable person. Kristina is NOT that person.
If I could give zero stars to Woodbridge Pacific, I would. They are literally responsible for the worst experience I have ever had with buying a house. We bought two homes from them, so this was the experience with BOTH homes. Their entire staff took advantage of my family and I throughout the entire house process. From the beginning, their main real estate seller Kathy Breeding pretended to represent us and the seller as our real estate agent and then took both the seller and buyer real estate commission of the house sale despite us telling her we were introduced to the community via another real estate agent and wished to have their name added. Regardless, we brushed it off and said that’s fine. Then when we were designing our house, their design studio literally wrote in the wrong selections for some of choices we made on colors and tile. When we complained to them after the home was built that the selections given were incorrect and to fix them they refused and told us ‘these homes are selling like hot cakes and to just leave’. Well we decided not to move forward and then they threatened to keep our deposit we placed in escrow (which for two homes was 600k). So despite telling us to leave, they wouldn’t let us. After all who else was going to buy 2 million dollar homes during a pandemic. when it came down to the final closing documents, their VP Sara Near was the rudest person I have ever seen in sales. She not only threatened to keep our deposit, but threatened to Sue us. When evaluating the homes, the appraisal came in at 250k lower than the sales prices. This is obviously because of the inflated costs for any and all upgrades and no itemization as I describe later on. Their landscaper, Jacob, is another story. They charge you 10.000 for “Lanscaping “, but don’t tell you why it costs 10k. If you tell them to explain they say it’s for shrubs and grass but give no breakdown. Same with the upgrade office. They don’t itemize any costs. We again, swallowed our pride and moved forward. We then moved into our home, but it was incomplete. They assured us that the home would be complete without 30 days of closing, but it has since been 4 months and we are nowhere near complete. They refuse to give us our proper garage door and no longer come out to repair or fix any of the defects in the home. It’s not just a violation of contract, but just terrible business sense. The HOA is run by the same people, but none of the board members are living in the community. The organization lacks leadership and is a stain to the public. If you are thinking of living here, don’t. You’ll slowly come to realize that the community looks pretty, but is terribly mismanaged.
Ive read these bad reviews about Charlene, and they couldnt be farther from the truth. She is absolutely amazing. Clearly these people posting are just seeking some kind of attention. Possible competitors trying to slander her! Charlene was just so wonderful and a delight to be around. She was so attentive to our questions and needs. Decided to walk over to Patina . The houses are really nice but just a bit out of our price range. They also do not offer the deals that Mahogany offers. If you want a 600K standard home go to patina. For that price the Mahogany homes are fully loaded! Who cant pass that up. Plus you get to work with someone who truly cares about you and youre family.
Chad Ross, thank you for explaining my clients whats the benefit of purchasing a new home. You are so patient with us and my buyers are so happy with you and Charlene. I couldnt do it with out you guys, I cant wait to bring you more clients even though the home is NOT ready till next year. You and Charlene are so professional and Im so thankful for both of you. Its all worth it for me to drive all the way to Bakersfield.
I wish that I read the reviews about the customer service at this place. Everyone that writes these great reviews I would ask if its truly the truth or are you receiving a discount by doing it. My family and I are hard working restaurant owners here in town. We do not drive nice cars or have expensive clothing. Let me tell you about my experience. I dont want to be contacted by this company (as Ive seen), and this is not for attention to get a discount. This is to inform the customers of how things really work at this place Patina. We were in there Sunday around 2am after church. As we parked a Caucasian woman was inside bragging loudly about her new car to another woman. I assumed they both worked there. They didnt greet us or say one word to us. I read a review that there was some feelings towards Hispanics. We also received that feeling. As we walked the homes, which are beautiful, I had questions about the homes. I went into the office and saw a lady on her phone leaning on a table. She never gave me any attention. I want everyone of Hispanic descent to know you will need to look nice and drive a nice car to get any attention at this place. I have never felt so hurt. They will not get my business. But the homes are so pretty. I love the layout and the style of them.
I couldnt agree with you more Samatha Ferry! The negative reviews on Charlene cant be true, she is absolutely amazing. Charlene is very knowledgeable and professional. She has been extremely helpful, kind, and honest throughout the entire process. Plus, the homes in Belcourt are just beautiful and great quality with great prices. The entire Belcourt team has been great, and this has been an amazing experience!
My wife, who happens to be Hispanic also went in and spoke with the woman at Belle Court. She said they couldnt have been nicer to her. with that said, I would suggest that it has NOTHING to do with your race. They want to sell houses. Thats how they earn a living. Why would there care what color you are? Anyway, the homes were absolutely beautiful. I hope to someday live there.
Belcourt at Seven Oaks is such a beautiful upcoming community. My husband and I have been very satisfied with the assistance of the Sale team throughout the process of purchasing our home at the Mahogany models... (Charlene and Jim) are great! We can not wait until our new Mahogany home is complete Mid 2018.
We were introduced to Belcourt, Mahogany development, while taking a leisurely Sunday drive. My husband and I were greeted by Charlene Oliver who walked us thru Belcourts advantages and future plans. It seems like an upcoming area that is reasonably priced with many amenities not offered by other developments. Charlene was pleasant, well informed, and helpful for our many questions. She is a great asset to the community and to Woodbridge Pacific Group. We are currently watching our new home being built in Belcourt to be completed in early 2018 thanks to Charlenes expertise.I must now comment on Nancy Kellys negative review of Charlene. She obviously never spoke with Charlene according to her diatribe. Accusing someone of discrimination and prejudice without ever talking to them is extremely disheartening. In this day and age of scrutiny over discrimination, Mrs Kelly was just jumping on the race card band wagon. Shame on you Nancy Kelly.
Patina lead agent was so rude! Has 0 customer service skills. Was rude to me and my clients when we came in. The Mahogany agent and her team are extremely professional. They assisted me and my clients. 5 stars for her and her team! High Gate is also nice as well. Try them first! You will be surprised the deals they have!
My wife and I recently relocated to Bakersfield and have been looking for a home in the Seven Oaks area. We have looked at both new homes and resale homes. We both fell in love with Mahagony and the entire crew.We cant wait until the lot we love becomes available. A special thanks to Charlene and all the patience that you showed us.
I have had 4 trips to their office and had horrible customer experience at the smaller home office. My girlfriend and I will most likely go to High Gate because of the price. But I have spoke to a Jim who couldnt answer my questions and smelled like smoke. The lead agent didnt pay us any mind. I think that the review posted by Pam shows what is wrong with our country and our society. If someone a bad experience who are you to question if it was racially motivated. Im Mexican and have noticed a difference in customer service even at High Gate. And our agent their is Mexican! THIS IS A RICH WHITE PERSON NEIGHBORHOOD

2022-03-10My husband and I were one of the first families to move into Belcourt in 2017. We loved the Mahogany model and quickly started the process to purchase. As with any new construction there were many decisions, questions and planning to be made. Charlene Oliver was always there to quickly answer our many questions and assist with the complex song and dance of building a new home. Charlene has always been professional, timely and available when needed. Many times I would have a burning question I needed an answer to. The timing might be after hours but Charlene would still response. I read something earlier regarding someone feeling race played a role in looking at a property. This is a very sensitive subject. My husband and I are a mixed couple and I have never felt any form of discrimination by Charlene or any other person involved in this process.Three years after living in our Mahogany home we decided to down size but wanted to stay in Belcourt. We then purchased our Tamarind home. Charlene was there to assist in the purchase and closing of both homes. She made the transition smooth and helped on both ends.Belcourt continues to be a place I’m happy to call home.

2022-03-13I have lived here in Belcourt for four years and am so proud to call this my home. From the first time I viewed the models I was given a warm welcome by the sales woman Charlene who took the time to go over all the details of the homes and what was included with each model. Don’t get it twisted if you see her in the office on her phone you better believe she is handling customer concerns like she’s handled many of mine, and that she is ensuring that your buying experience is absolutely smooth. I can remember calling her during my lunch to ask her about the colors used in the model and you better believe she had the answer for me right away.

2022-03-31I have to say that the Agent that representsMahogany at Belcourt Charlene is amazing! Not only did she accommodate my clients and myself by allowing us to tour the model homes without an appointment, she took time to answer questions that my clients had and was very professional about it. Thank you Charlene, I appreciate you and your time in explaining the new construction process to my clients!

2022-03-05My family went to look at the Mahogany houses earlier this week. The houses are nice but the agent that works there is just not very personable. I believe is her name is Charlemagne. My daughter waited to talk to her and she just sat in the office on her phone watching videos and talking loudly on speaker about purchasing a car. Not professional and poor customer service. We really are interested in living in this area after relocating for my job. The other office you need a appointment in order to go see the models. The people at the other office hold very firm to the appointments so beware if you are trying to do walk ups. When this area is finished with the shopping it will be very nice though. They just need to hire better agents and have actual people other than temps working so us customers can get questions answered.

2022-01-31The front end of the home buying process was relatively care free. However, upon final inspection we had found about a dozen issues with our home that werent up to par. They identified the issues with us on first walk through then let us know theyd be fixed before we close. come closing day only a few were fixed. Then we were told within 30 days of move in all would be fixed. Fast forward 6 months later we still have issues that have yet to be addressed. There is a lack of follow through and communication on the builders end. After asking our sales representative Charlene to put us in contact with her superior or someone who could help get our issues resolved she refused. She then tried to tell us our issues with our AC / heating that hasnt worked in 3 weeks (58 degrees inside house) was due to a part and that they cant do anything without the part. After speaking to the AC company they advised nothing in the 5 visits to our house had anything noted about a part being needed. I love our houses aesthetics but in terms of the quality of parts used, service, overall communication from Woodbridge Pacific I would rank this a very poor experience. If youre shopping for a home in the Bakersfield area I can not say I would recommend Woodbridge pacific after our experience. There are plenty of other new housing developments in town I would go to in retrospect.

2022-03-11We bought our New Home in Belcourt Collection. We met with Charlene and had the best time and help with her! She helped us so much! There is more than you ever know what goes into buying a new home! The lot, the model, everything! And Charlene was there every step of the way! The best!Charlene is very knowledgeable and thoughtful. Ron and I would definitely steer any of our friends to Charlene if they wanted in This area!We have moved in and have had problems with the builder. They are “ slowly “ being worked on, but, this in no way has anything to do with Charlene. Charlene has been there for us all the way. Our Champion, so to speak.Thank you very much!Belcourt could not run without you!

2022-03-14Belcourt at Seven Oaks is a beautiful community and we are happy to be a part of it. Charleneour sales agent was amazing to work with. She was always helpful and kind to us through out the entire process. Even after moving into our home Charlene has been there when we had questions or needed assistance. She truly made the entire home buying experience wonderful.

2022-03-19My wife and I spent over a year looking for a home to settle down after our move from Florida. We looked at various communities throughout Bakersfield, of course as a young couple we didnt want to over extend our reach. We considered many factors before we made the decision to go with Woodbridge at Belcourt. I cannot speak to anyone elses experience, but for my family and I the difference was the service we received. Our agent Charlene at the Mahogany sales center provided us with exemplary service, she made time to show us, her potential residents every property available at the time to consider our buying power and facilitated the best purchase for my family. Charlene took time to educate us about the process of new construction here at Belcourt, kept us apprised of every issue that could delay our closing and she helped us navigate the uncertain waters of buying new construction. Our agent made time to see us after our big move, to the extent she kept in touch well after a 12 month period, to see if we were happy with our decision three years ago.FACTS: we would not be here if Charlene was not an amazing agent, who had gone above and beyond for our family. Anyone reading this before going to the sales center tell Charlene The Garçons sent ya. Regardless of who you are, your background or ethnicity, the staff at the Mahogany sales center will receive you with the respect you deserve.

2021-12-14If they would allow negative stars I would. I literally created a google account and will create other review accounts to tell everyone my experience with these people. Every time I come here with my family the main agent is never around. I constantly have to deal with temps who know nothing and make 0 decisions. Why would you not hire more people to help out!!!! We use temps at my business to do busy work. Makes no sense. My wife recently had a run in with the main agent lady. When I tried calling her she doesnt return calls or anything. My wife who is of Caribbean heritage was discriminated against over a white customer. She stood around the office waiting to ask some questions and the woman left with another customer and never returned. Just bad overall customer experience with this office. If we could afford the other homes from the other office we would. Those ladies in there were extremely nice and helpful.

2019-07-12Very good experience if you want in reasonable price a good and modern living house belcourt will be the best option. In Bakersfield if you compare old home with the new home you always like new one . No doubt about it that the old home had good character well kept landscape but we didn’t know inside that everything is outdated if you want to upgrade that will be so stressful, I think best homes in Bakersfield in seven Oaks area. Everything is updated and good thing is you have both options gated and nongated. Both style are outstanding. Love belcourt and the management
