I never sleep well at hotels. Our room was over looking the mountains and the bed was very very comfortable and clean. All staff was very friendly and helpful.Pamela C

Good value. Clean and decent amenties. Service was good, although they require a mandatory 125 hold charged to a debit card as deposit. In the past ive always remember having a temp authoritation through a CREDIT CARD as thats what i am usually asked to use as opposed to cat card. Also? Why the prediscount? Why the allegations and assumptions?

The hotel is beautiful and in a good location. Check in was very easy and the service was pleasant. The breakfast was the average continental breakfast you can get at any hotel. My only complain was the beds. They were comfortable but the sheets felt and smelled like they haven’t been changed or wash properly. I checked for underneath the mattress and everything looked fine. Just woke up everyday with new bites that could have been mosquitos around my body. I had to cover my pillow with one of my shirts. The room was clean overall other than that. Might stay next year again but will bring my own sheets and pillows.

There was animal hair all over our room. Pillows, bed, bathroom. Staff was rude. Do not recommend here.

Lovely hotel & grounds. The only area for improvement since the hotel doesn’t offer a place for lunch would have been for the front desk staff to be more knowledgeable about potential lunch spots nearby. We were sent off in a general direction and eventually found a Sprouts that offered “to go” sandwiches which is what we’d originally inquired about. A simple list of nearby offerings would have made this much easier.
This was a great place for the wedding party to stay and be able to visit with out of town guests during breakfast and happy hour. Thank you!
Great hotel! We loved the room and the bathrooms were nice too. Loved that it had a all refrigerator and microwave in the room. You just need to bring some plates and silverware if the restaurant is closed. We bought a bunch of food from the restaurant too. Everything was good except rhe Mac n cheese. It was very weird tasting. I had two of my friends try it that love Mac n cheese and they were not fans either.
So Cal Edison had day long power outage. 3 of us work at home and needed electricity and internet. Sought a day use room and called Ayres. They were willing to provide a room to help us get through the day at a reasonable rate. Kudos to Chandler who was manager on duty to make it happen.
Amazing management, the manager gave me recommendations for great nearby Restaurants! Great views from the room & house keeping made sure our beds were always clean. Definitely recommend it!
Lots of changes at Ayres sunce Covid. Actually stayed at Ayres Suites which is across parking lot from Ayres Hotel &Spa. We ate dinner & breakfast at Hotel this time as Suites dining room is closed for a long time. Much prefer eating breakfast at Suites location. Handicap room leaves much to be desired. Not every person with disability is in a wheelchair. ADA room only has King bed and twin fold out bed. Went to bed late 1st nite & fold out bed had no sheets on it. Desk brought some up when I called- they were Queen/King size and I had to put them on myself. I imagine they are very understaffed like other places right now but wish my stay had been more relaxing.Hotel was full..Lots of live-in tenants.too many had huge dogs which made me uncomfortable. They were on leashes but didnt care to run into them all the time in the hall and in elevators. Room was quiet and a/c worked well on extra warm November weekend 2021.
Nice hotel stay experience, we will be back, recommend early start to complimentary breakfast, bacon runs out quick; watch for heavy food bin closures, they tend to snap back quickly, makes loud noise, makes you believe something fell each time
We were very pleased with our stay at Ayres Hotel. The breakfast was very good but wish there were more that one day that included bacon.
Rate the hotel overall as a 10 but the breakfast in the morning from 0 to 10:00 it would rated about it too not even worth getting up for
The service was first class throughout including assistance with so many attending your Bar & Grill coming in from all over the USA. The rooms were big and clean and very comfortable and the rates surprisingly affordable for what we got.
I was issued keys to a room that wasnt made up from the previous night use.I was then issued keys to another room which had no bed spread and the pillows were piled in the corner. Also a bag of trash outside in walkway.Seems like your housekeeping is not very thorough.
Lousy soap, rough on skin. Shampoo conditioner 2 in 1?? Do they even make that anymore? When I looked at the toiletries I thought I was in a motel 6. Bed sheets, rough. Pillows too soft, no option for a hard pillow. Blah coffee, breakfast was like camp food. Bad coffee.. Not sure why I didnt stay at the Marriott up the street, but wont make the same mistake again.
The King suite had everything that was needed for this newly retired government worker. The corner room was amazingly peaceful and relaxing. The breakfast every morning was delicious and the cook was refreshingly kind as he served each guest with a smile.
If youre looking for a suite you definitely wont find it here the restaurant closed to early and the set up needs to be reconfigured the food was just ok the staff was great
Its unfortunate that during the time of a global pandemic, the front desk staff, in particular the man working overnights, couldnt be bothered to wear a mask. He told me he was tired of it. Arent we all, but so what?
It was a great experience. The breakfast staff was so patient with everyone that was in the café area.
Very nice place at a good price. They have snacks, beer, soda, water etc. Readily available. Full bar and grill with great food. Open air courtyard with plenty of seating and a fireplace. Outdoor pool, hot tub and sauna. This place is located right in the mountains so anywhere you look you have spectacular views. Only 30 ish minutes to laguna beach. This place really has it all.

Descent hotel for the price. My room could have used a little updating but was clean. One strike is that the bar is not open all day. That was a little annoying if you like a cocktail by the pool. Not sure if limited hours are due to COVID or if this is normal operations. The complimentary breakfast was very subpar. Lastly, the gentleman who checked me in (cant recall his name) was not very friendly. I tried unsuccessfully to get him to crack a tiny smile.
The food tasted ok but I did like waiting and waiting in line to get some. Poor food selection and general Communication problems, There were no pancakes waffles or apples oatmeal choice of fresh fruit eggs sunny side up or over easy, no cookies, no poptarts, no coke, baked potatoes, no french fries, bowl of cherries, no ice cream, cold cereal, Milk, fresh baked muffins, corn bread, sweet bread, cinimon raisin bread, , no cake, fresh water, no free mints and no dessert.

When I asked about room cleaning I was told the hotel was understaff and an attitude came with that as well. Our party took most of the rooms in hotel so I believe they could have been better prepared to handle the big weekend event.

Great place to stay the pool and hot tub look iver the sun set rooms were amazing and staff was great. Theres a hot breakfast every morning and a tea, juice and coffee bar. The restaurant was nice with really good chicken strips 👍😊

Stayed the weekend for a friends wedding in the area. Got a great deal since it was a part of a group rate which I was able to call in a reserve easily. Everything from check-in to check-out was easy and everybody in-between were amazingly friendly.The rooms were nice and clean, spacious, and comfortable. Loved the breakfast with the hot food and large eating area.Everyone we encountered were so friendly and helpful. The front desk staff had the best attitudes Ive every came across while at a hotel. Not the fake scripted kind of happy. They seemed genuinely wanting to make sure we had a great stay. And we did.

This hotel really over delivers on quality for the price. The rooms are very spacious. The sunsets from the pool/spa area are amazing. The free breakfast was great, and there is an on-site bar/restaurant. We also enjoyed the exercise room, and its nice to have an on-site spa available. This is our second stay here, and we look forward to our next one.

Great hotel in a nice neighborhood. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the free hot breakfast each morning. We had one minor problem with the room--the bathroom fan did not work. Other than that, we had a great stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Orange County.
My stay at the Ayres Hotel & Spa was very nice. The hotel and grounds are very clean and the courtyard with the fire pit was very nice to sit around and relax. The breakfast was very good with a lot of choices. I only stayed for a short time so I cant comment on the spa and restaurant but I would definitely consider choosing this hotel again on any future travel.

This hotel is so nice! I stayed there for a wedding and they gifted the couple champagne. They have a great bar and an amazing courtyard with a fire pit. The on site spa was a plus. The rooms were comfortable and roomy. I will definitely stay again.

Totally exceeded our expectations, the rooms are huge and super clean. Didn’t feel like a hotel room at all. Only issue was the breakfast lady wouldn’t make my omelet 15 min before the closing time.

We needed to be on the ground floor because I use a walker and electric scooter, we were set for the 3rd floor I asked on arrival if we could have a room on the first floor and was set up on first floor. Breakfast was very good. The lady sorry I dont reminder her name but she was very very nice to us. Yes we have booked our stay for a week in June. This is where we will be staying from no on.

Based on 2 stays in May and July 2016 I would say this hotel is excellent value for money. The rooms are big and clean. It is one of the better breakfast included in the price in the US I have experienced. The best part of it all is however the staff, their friendliness and how quick a matter is addressed, should there be one. I will be back again.
We enjoyed our stay at your hotel. The room was very spacious and nice. The hotel employees were very friendly. The breakfast area (layout) was a little bit awkward for the food buffet but we enjoyed the variety. I think the only negative comment I would say is that the firepit was turned off at 10pm and it would have been nice to have it on until 11pm.

Beautiful Hotel, great and curious staff. Great place to chill out.
Went to the wrong property and were informed as much by the late night check-in desk, who wouldnt tell us where to go except the other property, which he said twice with no elaboration. everything else was great.
Great place to stay! We were there for a wedding and the shuttles were incredible helpful. We also used the courtyard for a brunch the next day! The hotel was very accommodating and the rooms were great! Our room had a pull out sofa sleeper and vanity area in addition to the bedroom area and huge bathroom! Loved it!
I just attended a womens retreat there and we had excellent accomodations and service. It was a great experience.
Quiet, clean, great prices, and an amazing spread for breakfast. Will most definitely stay here again.

This is my favorite place to stay! Everything is always clean! Only 1 exception this last time. We turned on the room ac/fan at night and got dust mites blowing onto the bed as we slept and starting biting us. Very itchy and uncomfortable all night. There was no room service since we only stayed 2 nights so did not have the chance to tell housekeeping. If we pay for a room even for 1 night we should be able to get room service. Shout out to the front desk guy Chandler always courteous. Great breakfast keeps family fed and wanting to come back. Dinner was way too expensive and not great, just so-so. No water bottles and no menu in room. Overall good stay! My family loves this hotel! Thank you!
Thank you for a wonderful stay at the Ayres Hotel! The staff at the hotel was always gracious, friendly, and helpful! My room and every area of the hotel was comfortable and shiny. We enjoyed using the garden courtyard with our family and friends. I heartily recommend this hotel for a fabulous stay. It is a great place!!

Never stayed at the Ayres Hotel and suites. The room was really nice and clean. The appliances in the suite were very new and clean. The morning breakfast was really great and they staff even makes eggs any style for you if you wish. Really enjoyed the grounds as well with the pool and hot tub.

Service was great but the air conditioner would not stay in and kept me up all night.
Staff was happy and friendly. Common areas could have been a little more inviting and the pool closer to the hotel, but that is my only complaint. The rooms were exceptional, spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed to get ready for a wedding.

Overall stay was good, friendly hotel staff, free breakfast was amazing with a quality selection.
Everyone was very nice and helpful. Loved the patio are nice to sit and have a drink. The only criticism I have we have a service dog and a lot of hotels we stay at have a dog area to go to so they can relieve themselves. We did find an area that did work.

Slept really well, bed is great and room is quiet even while traffic is near. The restaurant is also very well and has many choices at breakfast (great you could bake your own waffles, delicious!). Had 3 diners which were also great. The staff is friendly and helpful, I had a great stay.

2022-02-12Absolutely perfect! Nice updated decor throughout. Common areas all smell pleasant. The room was large and smelled fresh and clean, didn’t have that usual “hotel odor”. Free Wifi actually worked, was fast and didnt disconnect every few minutes! Bathroom was very clean spacious, and updated with granite and tile. Bed was comfortable enough.The restaurant serves actual hot breakfast like ham/eggs, sausage, potatoes, bacon, and it was actually good food too! At night the bar was nice great drinks fantastic bartender. They make all food from scratch there.Nobody pushes the mask thing on you AS IT SHOULD BE. Everyone was friendly and just perfect! I have searched for the best place to stay while working in Orange and this is IT. I love it! 30 min drive is worth it to stay away from the city in a lovely forested small town.

2022-05-03Nice and quiet. Front staff was great. Room was spacious and clean. The breakfast in the morning was delicious, but they ran out of bacon on two mornings (Sturday and Sunday).When we arrived, there are two Ayres hotels at the same spot (I didnt know that) and we started at the wrong one. However, the system was really good because the Front Desk had our reservation and helped us find the right place. They also showed us) the public restroom to use before we went to the other hotel (we couldnt wait, it was a long drive). I truly appreciated that!

2022-06-19My 3 friends and I genuinely enjoyed our stay here. Awesome amenities, delicious complimentary breakfast (the best breakfast at a hotel I’ve ever had), and a very clean room. The pillows were not very comfortable and there was an odd smell both in the lobby and in the room itself. There was no trash can in the restroom which is inconsiderate of menstruation. There was also a lack of dairy alternatives. All in all, a pretty great stay :)

2022-05-17Staff was pleasant. Rooms were fantastic. Great view of Oso lake. The property is beautiful. Lovely courtyard. They have their own bar and restaurant but other food and shopping is a short drive away. I would stay here again for sure.

2022-02-18Great place. We had a King suite..though sparse it was very comfortable Bed was amazing. Room was very clean. We watched superbowl in the bar. The food was really much better than expected. I highly recommend the MSc n cheese. The staff was amazing especially Lauren at the front desk.

2022-03-10A good stay at the hotel, in a quiet part of Mission Viejo. The check in was swift with a friendly front desk person.The signature suite was a very good size, a comfy bed with coffee making facility in the room and a fridge freezer, a well equipped clean room which was good..A good variety at breakfast served between 6am and 9am Monday to Friday.Would recommend this place..

2022-05-01We were staying here for a room block for a wedding we were going to in Rancho Las Lomas. It was delightful! We called earlier in the week to ask for early check in, they just let us know they couldn’t guarantee an early check in but would do there best. When we arrived Friday we were able to get an early check in. Overall the staff was super pleasant and helped us with whatever questions we had. Our room was great! Loved our spacious room. Thanks for having us!

2022-04-14We booked a block of rooms for our wedding party and wedding guests and had the best time! The rooms were spacious & clean, the outdoor courtyard was lovely for an evening gathering and morning breakfast & the bar was the hotspot of the weekend.We would absolutely stay at the Aryes again

2022-05-24We did not like the selection and the quality of the breakfast, and the gym was too small to use. Also, most of the equipment (bike, treadmill, etc) was broken.The staff was friendly, and responsive. Definitely an older hotel that was not worth the price.
