My sister had a behind the wheel drive test and the examiner an Asian guy was behaving so rude and unprofessional. My sister had a little bit English language understanding problems and that’s why he act very unprofessionally yelling at her and making rude comments. He on purposely wanted to fail her during the test that’s why he act up like a very stupid person.
The best experience ive had at any DMV! There were only 6 people waiting, in and out 20mins i woulda lost that bet.
The workers were nice and gave good information and updates on wait times, etc.Best time to go if without an appointment is 7am. Be there a bit before and get seen within 30-45min. Any time later and you risk 1... 2... 3... 4 Hour wait times! Yes, it was 4 hours on a Thursday afternoon. Appointments for this office tend to fill up further into the year than other offices. If they give you a date that’s 2-3 months off from the current date, I would suggest you looking at the Roseville office as their dates only tend to be 1 week away.2 stars for typical government bureaucracy slowness, but 4.5 stars for staff. They are pretty quirky. I can understand why some people would think they are annoying, but overall I thought they were personable and doing a good job.Hate on the outdated system and complicated regulations, not on the people.

The staff here is awesome. Theyre super friendly and they will take care of you. You can use the virtual queue to get in line before you leave where youre at. I was in and out of there really quick.

These people are rude, disrespectful, slow and like to have long personal conversations while the entire lobby is full. Have an appointment? No point because they cant keep up with the work flow to meet the appointment times. You end up waiting just as long as walk ins. Who will sometimes be seen before you.

Very impressed on the usage of the electronic sign in, customer service, and cleanliness!A wonderful gentlemen greeted you and helped sign in to receive an electronic ticket. Process in and out about 15 mins to apply for my real ID.There is another worker who sanitized every window as another person leave. Hands down best DMV experience. Ive been to DMV 4 times in the last 2 to 3 months trying to take care of registration for my truck. 3 of the times there Ive told them. Something is wrong and I need to pay. They said no gave me my temporary passes and told me that the recalls need to be completed to get my tags. I got the recalls done. Went back in got my 2022 tags and was on my way. Get a letter in the mail saying I owe $694 and my tags are being discontinued. So went into this morning trying to pay what I owe when I went in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd time I went in. NOPE!!! I had to pay the $694 rather than $445 in the beginning I was trying to pay.

It feels weird to give a DMV 5 stars but I went there last week to upgrade my license to REAL ID and they were organized, friendly, and efficient. Staff talked to customers in line outside to get them set up so they could be processed quickly once inside, and the woman who processed my request was very friendly and competent. Once inside I was out of there in 10 minutes. It was actually (gasp) a pleasure and relief doing business there. I also overheard another customer saying she had driven up from Dixon because Auburn had a better DMV!

I had to go there three times to get my registration renewed, although there is not many people waiting the service is made complicated by some of the personal working in there.

Surprisingly quick and efficient license renewal with name change. Make sure if you get RealID that you have 2 utilities already in your new name.

I have visited this particular office several times and everytime was awful except todays visit. I was in and out in 15 minutes and the clerk that helped me was very sweet and helpful. Every other time ive visited this place it always has an outrageous line, the employees have been extremely rude, and seem that they dont want to be there. I am temporarily disabled and was told to sit outside with absolutely no seating, wasps were dive bombing me, and people were lined up in the 100 degree plus weather, some even lined up standing in the street/driveways. I understand Covid messed up a lot of things and created a ton of restrictions and whatnot so a lot of the issues may have stemmed from that. After todays visit i know its possible to have a positive experience.

My experience was ok,I guess. Had to wait outside,it was 90°. Didnt like what I had to do. Guess were not open up all the way. Cal Osha to the rescue, they screw everything up. They always have to interfere with everything. Not a good experience if one has to wait outside in this heat wave 😡..
The staff person who help me was friendly, professional and efficient. The office was not busy during the 4th of July week so I got in right away.

They told me i couldnt make an appointment but had to just wait,, the wait time would be between 1-2 hours. They let you know through an app when its your turn. I ran errands and came back for my turn. There were people just waiting outside in the sun, but I guess they wanted to just wait there who knows. Service and app made it efficient.
Outstanding, very professional, patient, pleasant smile, I dislike the DMV, Im 61 and have been to several different DMV in the bay area and placed county, the wait is always long, than the person behind the counter has no personality, no smile, they could care less about you. Id rather get a tooth pulled than go to the DMV,. I went to the Auburn DMV on Sept 10 th 2020, the lady that took my information outside was pleasant, but the woman that took care of me inside was wonderful, Absolutely Wonderful, calm took the time to explain everything to me, she looked at me during our conversation, smiled, and laughed a few times, I was amazed, I walked out with a big smile, totally the first for me, after I was home and sharing my awesome experience I than realized that I didnt get her name, I wanted to leave a review & say Thank You, Thank You so much, my receipt says office 570, it also says 09/5407. 057 and I think the initials on top are FNC or FNL , I dont know if it helps, thank you again. 3 stars because my license place says PMS on it lol. My buddies says FBI, and recently I saw a CIA license plate.
Its the DMV lol they always work hard and try to do the best they can.
Auburn Ca DMV rocks.The staff does a great job.30 minutes to get a new drivers licence.Best time to get there is between 10 and 2, just like me the steering wheel😎

2022-06-07Best professional and efficient DMV that I have visited!I have moved across states and seen my fair share. This runs like clockwork. They have streamlined the workflow and it shows. Some tips to make your experience better ( I did these too)1. Create a profile, fill in some basic info on the DMV site. It helps if you can upload digital documents, but its not mandatory.2. Schedule an appointment, not later than within half hour of close. So 430 pm on most days (see pic).3. Note down or take a pic of the confirmation code that pops up on DMV site once ur done with step 2.4. After checking in, have your originals ready for verification, pay the fees and you are done.5. There are computer terminals with touchscreens to take your test (if needed).The entire process at DMV is about 30 to 45 mins inclusive of taking the test.I was also told that it would take an average of 2 weeks to get my ID and sometimes upto 4 weeks. However, the icing on cake was I got it in a week!Exceptional service, kudos Team Auburn DMV :)

2022-04-27From the first person that checked me in, to the person that processed all my information required to obtain a CA driver’s license/ID, I was treated with courtesy and respect. The efficiency and professionalism was excellent! I was in and out in 30 minutes with my interim driver’s license! Thank you all!

2022-06-14My experiences at this location for auto registration renewal service has been the WORST I have ever experienced in my entire life as a car owner in California, and recently, Nevada. On “several visits to Auburn DMV”, it was always an ordeal with incomplete information and multiple re-visits with varied information and instructions depending on whom I spoke with. I was also required to interface with Nevada’s DMV Records (long wait-times) which required downloading documents at the public library and being notarized. On another Auburn visit, I was informed a smog test was required, which I obtained and passed, and according to the shop’s owner, it was sent electronically, but according to DMV, it was never received which required a re-visit to the smog test center for a hard copy. After paying all required fees, and fulfilling all requirements, I finally received my tags, but after a few weeks, I received by mail my application documents with a notation that my tags are “now invalid” and requires attention. Of course I’m now confused and dismayed with more questions especially since my payment was processed and not refunded. Due to all these issues, I would never recommend this location, but the clerks were nice.

2022-01-16I cannot remember one time where I came in with or without previous appointment and didn’t have to wait for a prolonged period of time until I was called up. Not exactly sure what the hold up is each time but this can improve. Thankfully since more has been moved to be dealt with online, it has helped the process along nicely. Also, finding parking is a challenge sometimes. Mostly friendly staff however, so that’s a plus! Thanks
