We went with our friends of thirty years. We were sooooo excited to spend a few days at a great B&B. Especially one with a web sight of a Jacuzzi looking over the Valley and home made hot breakfast with baked treats from local orchards. We came to find a breakfast worse than the average cheap motel. Cereal without milk, fine sad fruit, and no bread of any type. Next we find the jacuzzi hasnt worked for years. We asked for toilet paper twice. Strangely, she lied and told us that she had delivered the TP.there was no paper anywhere. Very strange to lie. We left one full day early because of the strange behavior. Also the safety issue of rooms left unlocked. Also, the fraud of still listing still breakfast and Jacuzzi. Asked for the one day back. She said no.This isnt an B&B. Just a motel without service! Dont be duped.

We stayed there one year ago this week. My phone popped up my memories from a year ago and I reflected on what a great vacation and great experience we had staying at Candy’s Apple Blossom Inn. The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable and she provided a nice comfy air mattress for my children. She was so kind to the kids, took them out to her orchard and let them pick a cherry to eat. She keeps bees and harvests fresh honey for tea. The hot breakfast she made for us was amazing and it was so wonderful to chat with her and the other guests as we ate breakfast. The mornings we got up early to go to Yosemite National Park, she had a whole continental breakfast set up for us that we could eat before our adventures.

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is just amazing and its quite close to the Yosemite park. Supermarket etc are a just a few kilometers away. Candy is a really nice host and her pancakes are fantastic, so just her breakfast is it worth to stay there. Furthermore we sleeper really good in the beds and had nice and friendly other guests staying with us there.I can not understand the bad recommendations she has received. The rooms are labeled with signs above the door if you are checking in late and take the wrong room, ok this could happen but whos fault is it? If rooms are labeled and you should know what you book? And if you do something wrong it could be cleared like a normal person...I can totally recommend to visit this place and enjoy your stay here!

We stayed at this B&B for six nights this past summer. It’s a small B&B so the two rooms our group rented comprised about half of her occupancy. Both my sister-in-law and myself worked for many years in hospitality (restaurants & hotels) and my husband and I are in the process of opening a resort in Alaska.Having both worked so long in this field we felt compassion for this one woman operation run by Candy. We were paying about $250 a night for each of our two rooms.Candy refused to provide breakfast on any of the days her inn was not at full capacity. I’m not kidding. All cookies provided were simply yanked from a premise package from Von’s. She complained one morning that another guest had made coffee when they left at dawn. She actually instructed us to reheat the remains of their cold coffee in the microwave, refusing to permit us to brew a fresh pot.Our two units were not particularly clean. Candy lectured our 3 kids (in front of us) that they’d “better just reuse towels during the week because no more are coming!” Really? Oh my. That lecture was directed at our girls but intended also for us.Our shared bathroom had a mat still soaked from the people before us. We could see their footprints. Candy was angry when we brought it into the main house and we asked if we could toss it into the wash.Candy complained throughout our week long stay that she “hasn’t had a day off since April!” We did our best to befriend her during our stay, clearing our own tables, cleaning our own units daily, engaging with her in kind and hearty chitchat. Neither of our 2 rooms had a working tv. The TVs in both units were broken and had 12 inch screens circa 1980s. We never complained. It was noteworthy to us both that Candy never had a kind word to share about past guests or even her own sister. She painted a picture of past guests who “were liars...out to sue (her)...distructive of the place”. She also boasted of her plans to cut her younger sister from their mother’s will. Oh my. Hearing these stories every day we both committed to keeping our kooky host happy. We humored her as best we could. We’ve both been reviewers on Yelp for years. It bothered us to see the cards Candy hands out to guests at checkin and checkout. She claims to be conducting “a review contest” promising “a $500 shopping spree!” For good reviews. This would account for the many glowing 5 star reviews of her inn.During our stay my sister-in-law accidentally left her wallet in the town Italian restaurant. It was never found so she was forced to cancel her credit cards. She and her husband (my brother, a surgeon) own a Surgery Center. She and her husband made arrangements directly with Candy to pay for our stay via his VISA card over the phone. Candy put this off until check out morning.About two hours before checkout time we all came down to the main house for breakfast and to pay. The inn was full that day so Candy actually prepared a meal. She asked us to let her finish with breakfast before calling to pay our bill. After breakfast my sister-in-law contacted her husband for his VISA info. My brother told us he was transferring the $2,700 or so Candy required into that particular Visa account when he reached Chase Bank at 9:30.Nevertheless, Candy immediately tried to post the $2,600+ charge the moment she was handed their VISA numbers. We reminded her that the money was being switched into the account by 9:30 (30 minutes away). We waited right there as Candy informed us that we’d had an “amazing stay”. I kid you not, at about 9:10 am this kook of an innkeeper decided to run their card again. She then complained that “it’s costing me $1.50 each time it’s declined!” We offered to pay.We had discussed the troubles of our stay between each other but decided not to post reviews. We had both decided this inn to be worthy of no more than 3 stars at best. When my sister-in-law reminded Candy of a number of shortcomings Candy refused to give her a receipt for the $2,600 she had just been paid. She screamed at us, “you’re a fuc-ing bit-h!” as we left.

We booked rooms here last summer. My wife, my sister and our kids. My wifes wallet was stolen from her purse during their week long stay. We cancelled her cards and set it up with the innkeeper to pay with my VISA over the phone. Candy, (the owner) agreed.I was seeing patients the morning of check out. I arranged with Candy that she run my Visa card at 9:30 a.m. so Id be able to transfer $3,000 into my account between patients. At about 9:05 a.m. Candy decided to run my credit card for our bill. It, of course, declined. I was still with patients. She ran it yet again a few minutes later. Of course it was declined again. Candy complained to my wife and sister that she was being billed a buck fifty each time she ran my card. My wife offered to pony up an additional $3 to reimburse her for repeatedly running my card before our agreed upon time.Candy refused to be reimbursed by us but threw a tantrum. I was on speaker phone with my wife as Candy launched into a defensive confrontation. My wife and my sister have both worked for years in hospitality and no doubt believed they were being constructive in their remarks when Candy challenged them to name one thing that wasnt perfect about your stay! She exploded as my wife softly suggested Candy hire someone to help out with the many hotel chores even part-time. Our family had been denied breakfasts most days of our week long booking. The woman refuses to prepare a cooked meal on dates she lacks a full house.Candy flatly refused to provide us with a receipt for our hefty payment. I advised my wife and sister to just get in the car and get the girls safely away from this kook as Candy pursued them to our car yelling, Youre a f---ing B---h! Ive never heard anything like it from an innkeeper. She also generates falsely glowing reviews by offering a $500 review contest.

Candy was nice. The rooms were sparkling clean. Snacks and tea were available all day. It was a beautiful place to rest between a taxing road trip. The kids and I are very happy with out stay there.

We ask the hostess to come after the reception hours, in response we received a detailed and very nice explanation of how to get to our cabin. We entered the cabin according to the description by the email and we made a phone call to the hostess that we had indeed arrived at the right place. At 1:30 AM, she just walked into our cabin, woke us up screaming that we were in the wrong cabin and we had to pack ourselves out first thing in the morning. In the morning, we tried to talk to her and explain exactly why we went into this cabin. We explained to her that the name of the cabin was not written anywhere, and by the description she wrote in the email this is exactly the place. She in response screamed at us and cursed us all morning!! Her attitude was simply shocking and it totally ruin our day.
