This place is okay. It is the cheaper option around here. I personally like the Alessandro Animal Hospital more. I found a feral kitten who had an injury on his leg. I first went to Elsworth for an examination, and the vet lady told me it looked like he was healing and he would be fine!! Well, guess what? Several days passed and his injury was NOT getting better. I decided to get a second opinion so I went to Alessandro, and they told me amputation was the best option. The staff was very interested in my little kitty and how he was doing! They were very kind! Elsworth, on the other hand, one receptionist lady seemed more rude, but I am not naming names. This would be a good place to get shots I guess. I am doing the routine examinations at Alessandro 😐.
Made my appointment with a young lady over the phone who was super nice. Brought my two cats into the clinic this morning to have a spay and neuter. However, before I did, I quickly re-Googled the address just to confirm where I was going and thats when I saw the 2.5 star reviews. Somehow I missed those reviews when scheduling. It made me pause, but I didnt read any reviews because I was already on my way out the door and I was hoping maybe it would be different for me. I go in, the older dark haired woman was really rude. I gave her a tip about customer service and I left with my two cats. I came home to read these reviews and I am so glad I didnt leave my cats at this clinic; I love my babies. I will pay top dollar if it means myself and my cats are treated with respect and care. It was another life lesson for my 15 year old who was with me. Never pay someone to treat you like crap.
Ive adopted twice here and have been overall happy with the service. Do some of the employees or volunteers need a little better training to communicate procedures/status? Probably. Does the kennel smell like Disneyland Paris Hotel? No. (A couple of the reviews here are out of line, and are lying about the conditions). Is the service as quick as pizza delivery? With almost 17,000 service calls last year, not every time. These are caring people working on a very limited budget as part of their overall contract. Theyre using the same small facility, and basically the same budget, they had 13 years ago when I first came to town. So, I say give them a break. Go say hello if youre looking to adopt. Donate if at all possible. And be patient, as theyre doing the best they can.
First of all, they are rude no matter what time of day it is. I have never came here and found a decent person at the counter.Second, my father hates cats and he took the cat that was given to me by my friends cats litter to this place and then marked it as a stray. These people didnt believe my friend when we claimed this cat was ours, even with photo evidence and refused to give us our cat back. It was obviously ours, I work full time and was waiting for a day off to take the cat for vaccinations and to get neutered so I may give it to an owner that was willing to take the cat for me because I already have a few. So, now they provided us with adoption papers and told us we can not have the cat back for another week and $106 up front. Our cat was practically stolen but all they care about is money. Not to mention that they euthanize their animals. My friend volunteered there a few times and they lie about being a no kill shelter. If any of the animals are aggressive or timid, they most of the time wont even allow the animals to be seen by people, just put them to their deaths.
I just called marino Valley animal shelter spoke to a woman named Denise. Told her that I found a kitten that had a collar @ Joes Italian on Alessandro a couple of days ago try to find its owner put in on social media. Explained I couldnt keep it. Denise told me to put it back where I found it in the bushes so maybe it could find its way home. Wowww so it could possibly die w no food or water or possibly be killed . Wowwwwwww this is what you call a humane place for animals.
I had a good experience. My kitty is awesome. I am going to adopt a sister for my Kitty. I just think they need to fix up the cat room, better ventilation, paint and try and reduce the smell, kitties need more interaction and affection, that may be difficult with so many kitties. That would be awesome. When I adopted my kitty, I was told they were gonna re model, so they may have by now. I love that they are giving the animals a second chance, and not just euthanizing them.
After spending all morning in Corona and Riverside trying to get my dogs shots and licenses, I finally came back to the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter where all my needs were met. I had to wait for awhile, but at least my dogs were taken care of. They did an excellent job, and my dogs did not even complain. I will continue to use their facilty for all my dogs needs.
Love the animals there.Sad to say, most animals feel they are not loved only prisoners.Other than that, many to choose from. There is a set date for when you can take the animal home.If more than one person pick the same animal on the date of release there will be a draw. Whose ever name gets drawn out gets the pet. They offer Military Discount.
This clinic is WONDERFUL!! The staff is excellent and quality is great while keeping prices reasonable. Make an appointment though because because this place gets crazy busy! I have read a lot of reviews here that surprised me and I do believe you should be careful reading reviews as many of these people are angry that they dont have money to pay for their pets care and blame it on the clinic. They have to stay in business!! If your pets stitches came open, Im sure you werent properly caring for your pet after surgery. They have always recommended the cone of shame for my dogs after surgery so that they dont lick their stitches back open, and nothing has ever come undone. And of course you would have to pay to have that fixed! I think some people just look for an excuse to blame someone else for their mistakes. As I said, this place gets busy! And some people complain about the wait....so you had to wait an hour and a half one day, but did you notice the 25 other people also waiting, and the staff scurrying all around the clinic? Its not like they are sitting there doing nothing, just making you wait for fun. Trust me, no one wants a cranky person sitting in their waiting rooms! Bottom line is, give this place a chance. They are a good clinic. Dont let the few who post negative reviews scare you away. Because most of the time, its the angry people who post reviews, not the satisfied people who love it there. And if they were that bad, they wouldnt be busy enough to have such a full lobby and long wait time anyway! Think about it! :)
I have a lot of respect for any animal service out there but the systems in place here are definitely overdue for some changes. A kill shelter that broadcast the date an animal is going to be euthanized if not adopted is just cruel. Also their raffle system is just a huge waste of time and energy for everyone involved unless you’re lucky enough to be the winner. Why isn’t it just first come first serve like basically every animal shelter out there? Why make people drive down and devote time and emotions out of their day to get a companion just to be pulled out of a hat? Let’s change that ASAP. I hope for the best for all the animals
I found my cat this morning. I was so happy to know he was alive ... and to see that he was so well taken care of made me appreciate this place so much. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful about my cats injuries. I wasnt able to pay all of the money to get him back so they waived some fees and took a partial payment and... he came home with me. I will be going back in a few days to pay the rest. I am so grateful for knowing that there are clean and caring animal shelters out there. Thank you everyone at Moreno Valley animalShelter. 👍😁🙏
My daughter and i went there to possibly adopt a pet and could not believe the conditions that these animals have to endure. The place smelled heavily of feces and urine. We were NOT allowed to touch, caress or give any of the animals any kind of love whatsoever. Its unbelievable and this place should be shut down ASAP and investigated for animal cruelty. Dogs are crammed into little kennels, laying in the feces, and they only hose down the cages. No disinfectant or anything. We were also not allowed to go into the kitten/puppy room and we were kicked out when we did go in there. These poor animals are so stressed and begging for love but you cant even interact with them. There is also NO information on these fur babies which leads me to believe they just throw them in there and do not get to know them or their personalities so that adopters have an idea of who they are. This place is WORSE than Carson Shelter. I just could not believe my eyes.
I work a few blocks from here. I saved a very lost dog on Heacock and Cactus running in the middle of the very busy highway where the truckers go. They were so nice and waited for me to bring the dog in, they were closing in about 3 minutes. Very clean and employees were so helpful and kind.
Lets sort a few things out.First, this is the Animal CLINIC, not the Animal Shelter. So all those reviews that say shelter, ignore.Second, this place is BUSY, people come here because the price is very reasonable for the care. I have been here three times, each time I wished I had made an appointment, but that is my own fault.Third, the staff does seem to care about animals, each person greeted both my pets, and truly seemed concerned for their well being. They saw my sick kitten on a very busy Saturday, even though the doctor is normally not available because of being overloaded. I got 3 shots for my dog, which ran me around 30 dollars.....I repeat...30 dollars. (Quite reasonable)Finally, when reading reviews, remember the caliber of people in Moreno Valley. These are the same people you see at Walmart trying to return a half eaten ham to customer service. So, let yourself be the judge.
Margaret the rescue coordinator goes out of her way to get as many adopted out as possible!! We are a partnered rescue and this really is our favorite shelter. It may not be the biggest, prettiest place BUT the animals are well cared for and we love the staff. We have rescued so many from here and they always process our requests the same day and work to get the animals out as quickly as possible. Many shelters could learn from this one!! Thanks MoVal!!
My family had to rescue the dog and take him to the animal shelter to seek help for him. They told us we could adopt him the next following week so I went there a week later I got there two hours before his release and they made me fill out papers. They eventually told me people were interested in the dog so they were gonna raffle him off. I showed them pictures of me having a dog it taken care of them they said they didn’t care that’s not how they operated . Why do you tell me one thing then switch it to another thing. They just left a broken hearts and tears to my family who got connected with the dog .Please I thought the same as you looking at these reviews of this page that maybe it was false but these people hate their jobs they are rude and unprofessional
Im sorry to say but this shelter is no help for animals, they are very rude and condescending. no help when it comes to helping strays even if you are willing to help too. I understand its tough with all the animals coming but they should fight to better the situation of this shelter since its been open nothing has change its the only one for our city, how about instead of building so many dam warehouses, we get a humane shelter in our city which will actually help animals and people to help animals. I honestly rather drive to another shelter b/c I feel this one is no help, they are rude. if they dont love animals why work in a job that its all about Animals!
The shelter is not so bad. But the clinic is horrible. Wait times are crazy and the one older Hispanic looking women who runs the front desk is very rude and always makes mistakes when scheduling appointments. Every time I have gone in she says I am not in the system and when I provide paperwork to correct her she gets upset and has a very nasty attitude and still will not acknowledge her mistakes. I am disabled and on a low fixed income but from now on I would rather pay more $ to take my pets someplace else. The way you are treated here is not worth saving a dollar or two
Great placeCome here to get a dog, cat, or sometimes a rabbit.Friendly staff and they do care about the animals.I got my pet dog here and i dont regret it. I love to donate here and they do a very good job. Id come here to get a dog again of course. Always adoption events too cheap dogs and cats!!!
They are judgemental. I buy my dog ol roy and she loves it but they shamed me for not buying pedigree. Shm. Im young and Ive had my dog for 5 years..I know what my dog likes. She hates pedigree. Then you threaten to take my dog from me? Dont like this place at all. Get better staff. So rude.
My time there was just dredful! They just made me feel like I am a horrible pet parent. because my fence blew down and my dogs escaped. That does not make anyone a terrible pet parent. I went there and they threw so much fees on me. Yeah I got my dog out, but what if I didnt have the money until next pay check? It felt like they wouldnt have given me them. Also felt like just want my money, and not want my dog to be reunited with me. They had poor adittude. They must have lost the sight of why they adopt out animals, why pet parents are so sad they couldnt be reunited. Probably lost sight of that things happen to our pets, and most importantly lost sight of why they work there to reunite lost pets, or find a new home for one. I genuinely dont like how they treated everyone who goes there. The building needs people who know why they love there jobs.I also just called them a few minutes ago and they were even rude on the phone, and hung up on me. I am just wondering if they can check something for me. So It would save me the trip. Im gonna go up there and talk with them.
Flat out awful staff. Completely unprofessional. Asked one of the women in the back if we could see one of the cats. She ignored us and walked out. So we sat and waited for an employee we could ask to come by. In the meantime we sat looking at the kittens only for the same women to come barging in to yell at me and my father. She was telling us to stay away from the cats and that we would get them sick. We were appalled by this womens behavior but decided to just leave the room and go to the front desk. We went to the front desk to ask if they had anymore Siamese kittens that we didnt see in the back. The women refused to be of any help when we asked if she could look it up on their database she sat there staring at me blankly. The awful service here is keeping these poor animals from being adopted. Not to mention the facilities are in very poor conditions. We will never return to this shelter again.
I just had to inform the officers that the tags that I needed to renew for a dog that was no longer alive. I have been in there before 2 view animals I would never go to that animal shelter they are high kill shelter and if the animal is worth saving a lot of the rescues take it first and then you have to go through the rescue to obtain that animal and pay three times as much
We decided to go in and adopt a cat, my family and I went and picked out a 3yr old beautiful cat we named Tom. As they are giving him to us and we are completing paperwork we noticed his right eye was bleeding. We asked the staff about it and the guy that answered said it was nothing probably just got litter in it. We tried to take him next door but had to make appt. So today we just finished the free exam with adoption. He has an eye infection and treatment would be $92. I told them I would have to schedule an appt next week because I was not prepared with the money, they changed their tone as if they were upset and said then it would be $40 more for the exam. Here’s the thing how hard was it for the shelter to check his eye out and put eye drops or antibiotics before giving him for adoption. They say they are not related but they have a door that joins them. SMH it should be all about the animals not making money and how about better customer service.
My time was dreadful! Very very mean black haired woman at the register. She screamed at us because we took our dog for a walk before his shots. Everything else was fine just that I really dont like that lady. Next time ill go somewhere where there are actually nice people. Not coming here again
I used to work here, excited to be able to help care for all the loving and unfortunate animals that came in.Instead I found that every single animal had an expiration date. Perfectly loving and healthy animals. And if your pet was found on the street, even with a collar with contact information, just say goodbye. They will put perfectly healthy and loving cats in the feral room if they werent given enough money for someone giving them their pet to adopt out. They have put down playful healthy puppies who didnt get adopted in their two week time limit. And they have a man who pays them to take their corpses every Tuesday. Their biggest concern is getting any and everyone who comes in to give them as much money as possible; even to claim their lost pet. So I implore everyone, please, do not bring any animals here, adopt that loving animal you see and fall in love with if you come in before its killed, and please spay and neuter your pets so that no more poor animals can be murdered here for their profit.
I went there today for their mothers day/Cinco Deimyo adopt a pet event. Because I was interested in the pet of the week,a little black kitty named Simon. I called to see if he was still there, they told me when I needed to be there. Needless to say I had a WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! And I get my new fur baby tomorrow. They are great!!
This will be the last time I take my pets to this clinic, the staff are rude and unethical and disgusting including the doctor, Rachel Sangl, DVM she refused to take care of my dogs open wound based on the fact that my family and I were questioning the extra charges for surgery, and staff rumors. these people are totally unprofessional, especially that doctor. They made me feel unwelcome, they dont treat customers right. I also observed a man that worked there who was clearly frustrated with someones pets and was pulling them harshly on their leashes, this upset me very much, I wish I would have not taken my pets to this clinic. If you care about your pets well being, avoid this terrible place.
I like to watch the orioles, goldfinches and other birds come to my bird feeders. Lately, in spite of my putting out food and even catnip a number of cats have appeared and continually attack the birds. In addition, the cats fight each other at night and I have found blood and fur on my patio many mornings. I called Animal Control to inquire whether --if I am able to catch these strays in my Havaheart trap--Animal Control would send someone out to remove the cats ( I am not well enough to haul the trap over to the facility myself). A young lady called me back not long after I left my message. She answered all my questions patiently, was polite helpful and sweet and spent a long time on the phone with me as I thought of questions beyond that which I had originally left on the AC voicemail. I hung up feeling our tax money has been very well spent.
!!!!!adopt a pet please they need homes as soon as possible!!!Okay back in August 2017 i adopted a dog. The fee was great it included shots and neuter too. I love this place i adopt another dog here in a heartbeat i could. and If i was rich i adopt all the dogs here. Its great if your looking a mutt, chihuahua , or Pit bull (btw the pitbulls are so sweet one wouldnt stop licking me and wanted me to keep petting her). Lastly the dogs might be scared at first becuase they were stray or abandoned. Like my dog i rescued. anyways the dog may be scared but once its out of the kennel its like a whole driffent dog. Their happy and joyful. My dog was scared and nervous in his kennel but once we took him out he was licking us and jumping everywhere. If you cant adopt/foster at least donate money, towels, food, toys, collars, leashes, etc. I donate my dogs old harness and collars here
Its really hard to find a good dog at the pound because there just arent many to choose from. Apparently the cute family dogs are swooped up by private shelters before the public has a chance to bring a fur baby home. I tried to support my LOCAL business and LOCAL animal shelter so i kept looking, week after week hoping to find the right dog. When we finally did i was told it wasnt available until noon so i waited in the lobby from 10 am to noon. At the last minute girls from Lake Elsinore came in like literally 5 minutes till noon and decided they liked the dog we had been sitting there waiting to adopt. They held a raffle and these girls won the dog. They were teenagers and the shelter had to call their mom and dad and ask if it was ok for them to get a dog! Im sorry but if you want us to support our LOCAL shelter people that live in Moreno valley should get priority over people coming from elsewhere. i ended up going to a breeder and picked out the dog i wanted. Never will i go back to this shelter.
THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!!! Came in with my German Shepherd puppy and was turned away because I didn’t have ID?!? Since when do you have to have an ID to get your dog shots ? Not to mention the staff here is RUDE!! Never coming back again! Should have listened to all the other bad reviews from this place
They lied about how old The dog adopted was. I adopted a poodle thinking she was 3 years old as advertised because I wanted a young dog for my 3yr old daughter. Took her to their Clinic because she was reacting bad to the antibiotics and throwing up water for no reason . Turns out the paper the staff has says shes 8 years old. Like the traced over the 3 and put 8yrs and didnt even say anything. So at that time I was already thinking about giving her back because she was a little older then we wanted. Some lady offered an exchange for a dog but I will have to repay for the dog to get fixed again!! We end up keeping her . Fast forward, I take her to the clinic again for the free veterinarian check up monday, turns out shes 11 almost 12 years old and has all these health problems. The doctor handed me a bill that said 409$$ Like what!!?? I find that this isnt fair at all. I know the shelter says they estimate the age of the dog when they rescue them but three years old compared to 12 years old thats a big difference how do you not notice that. Like whats the whole point of paying to fix an older dog. Dont get me wrong I love the dog but like I said I wanted a younger dog to grow with my three-year-old daughter and poople life expand is about 15 years and shes 12. Smh. The only reason why Im giving them twould stars is because the dog I adopted is loving. But I cant afford that bill. I really want my money I paid to get her fixed back. Too many lied. They need to be called out for their false advertisement.
The worst animal control in California. They never answer the phone, they are very unprofessional, these people get paid to do absolutely nothing. If you have a stray or have been attacked by anything your best bet is to just call 911.This is the worst experience I have ever had with any company in my life. They might as well just shut this place down.
Super super super rude! I call to ask about puppy shots and the lady acts like she doesnt want to answer my questions instead trys to pawn me off to the vet clinic next door but they were closed....even though she knew the answers to the simple questons I asked and they are the same place I had to dig the answers outa her acts like Im ruining her day by calling!
This shelter had a lot of dogs, all the kennels were full some with 3 dogs all in one. You had to be escorted in to look at them and we were watched and followed around by staff the entire time which was uncomfortable. Not sure why they do that. Got the feeling we were an inconvenience. Many of the dogs were extreamly matted and dirty. Seems like they could at least clean the poor guys up, it would give them a better chance of being adopted. Sadly not the friendliest or happiest shelter we have ever been to. I hope they make some changes.
Called them with some issues regarding roommates dogs and was told it was a civil issue and could not do anything. Tried to call back later and seemed like I was blocked/straight to VM. After several calls got through and things were a bit more pleasant...but still no resolve
THIS IS A KILL SHELTER,DO NOT ABANDON YOUR PET HERE,LOOK FOR A NO KILL SHELTER!!this place is terrible. my dog had gotten out and was pregnant and when i went to go see her she had given birth to 2 pups. by that week i went to pick her up and she only had 1 pup left. she wasnt on adoption and when i asked what had happened to the other pup, they simply said it had passed away. i was furious because i was never notified about it or given the chance to decide what to do with the body.
I was outside of my home when a dog came to my front yard. I was hoping someone would go by looking for their dog. The dog did have a license tag, I couldnt hold on to him/her to long cause I have a German Shepherd. Since the dog had a license I took it to the shelter so they can look up the owner, but they didnt want to take the dog cause I didnt have my ID! I trying to help this dog back to its owner and dont understand why my a ID is required?! I could of let this dog run around but I have a dog and hope someone would do the same if my dog was out lost.
This place is horrible, I have never seen an animal shelter where you have to wait for the adoption date and time. Then If you want the animal on the day & more than one person wants the animal they raffle them off like some kind of prize.Never have I seen this kind of service before at a shelter. Most places they want to get the animals out and quickly to good living homes. Dont waste your time at this place. Go to the one in Jurupa/Riverside off Van Burren
DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!! this place is a scam and will rip you off!!!! someone stole my dogs and took me a month to find them. they were on their website. i have 2 of them. The ages are ALL wrong!!! my two dogs are 5 months and the other one is 9 months. They said my dogs were 4 years and the other one was 6 years haha. What a dumbass! i notice when i walked in. on the board shows the ages of how much it will cost to adopt. so i guess they lied about the age so you have to pay more. Second i cant even get my dogs out for less than 100 bucks. they end up costing almost 1000. I dont have that money so i couldnt get them out. my dogs will be up for an adoption. cost for both will be 600 bucks to adopt. This place is ridiculous! Do not go here. they kill animals. all they care about is MONEY!!!!! if you dont have the money they dont care and will put the animals to sleep just like they are going to kill my two dogs!
I wouldnt trust this shelter for all the money in the world. In fact, this shelter is the reason I would NEVER take an animal there for any reason. I once called them to ask about a 2 week old kitten to see how she was comming along , after I had to surrender her to them because we were unable to keep her and they told me rlthey put her down because WE DIDNT HAVE ANYONE HERE TO FEED HER.
Recently I discovered a female German Shepard drinking water from my koi pond...it was over 100 degrees out so I got her in the shade, got her some cold water, and gave her a couple cans of dog food...she had lost weight and was lactating, so I knew she had puppies....I called up Animal Services and they came within 10 minutes to get her...they wanted my email address in case the owner was located...later that day I got an email from the owner of the dog. She went to the animal shelter to find her...and she found her dog and sent me a kind email for watering, feeding and calling the animal shelter...turns out she was missing for about 6 hours with 8 beautiful puppies waiting for their mommy...she offered me a puppy...I declined because I have 3 poodles and just couldnt take anymore...I commend the animal shelter for their kindness in expediting the dogs reunion with its owner..
We have adopted a few animals there. I got my new dog BobbyFrom there. We love her. We feel very lucky to have her.My experience with the shelter has been mixed.Small dogs always get adopted. Small ugly dogs get adopted. Small any dog gets adopted. Most puppies and most pure breeds get adopted. What ends up on the kill list is the Pitbulls, older Cats.So sad but very true.We produce way to many Kittens, and way to many Pibulls. Please Nueter your pets. So kill list dont happen. Please protect your pets buy having a good fence around your yard.
As the story starts, I lost my 3 yr old cat Baby Bear. So naturally the first response is to check your local animal shelter. Upon arriving at the facility, we saw the dead on arrival list, and on that list was a cat found the Miller description to what my cat is. Same age, same color, and the pick up location was not too far away from my home. When we ask the customer service desk if it would be possible to do a positive ID on the cat, they looked at me like I was crazy. I dont know how many cats are in the Moreno Valley City area, but the chances are very high that there is more than 1 that looks just like my cat as far as the basic description is concerned. I dont want to just let go of my family pet without confirming there is either going to be hope or not. They still refused and Im still unsure if that was him or not . I filled out a missing pet card with his description and distinctive markings, and proceeded to the back room where they keep the cats... Sadly he wasnt there, but one particular cat stood out from the rest... Obviously well taken care of, very personable, friendly, and an absolute cuddle bug... Over the next 2 weeks of checking in to hopefully walk in and see my Baby boy, I also came in to give attention to the loving cat now named Simba. Over the span of 1 weekend, I saw this poor and unattended cat wither from a full bodied, healthy, beautiful happy spirited little guy to an emaciated skeleton who couldnt even walk. For his size, they put him into too small of a Kennel, and in turn with all of the weight loss... visually half of the size from when I first saw him, his muscles in his hind quarters were too weak to be able 2 allow him the ability to eat, drink, or use the litter box. Seeing him in that state brought tears to my eyes, and I knew that he would die if I didnt do something. That day we brought him home hoping that he would survive the night. He has now regained a quarter of the weight he should be, and has also regained the ability to walk... According to all the paperwork, he was checked out by a vet and they cleared him as healthy. When I took him to my vet, they rushed him to the back for emergency care, and before I had a chance to say anything, I was threatened that they were going to call Animal Services, and that there was a good possibility I would be arrested for animal cruelty and that he would be seized. They finally let me tell my side of the story, and when they heard the story, and saw my paperwork, they ended up treating him at no cost to me. Be weary about the shelter, but please do something to help those animals... Simba has been a real joy, and I still check the shelter in hopes that one day I will find my Baby Bear again.
Never have I heard that they raffle a dog if more than one person wants to adopt them and ive been here countless of times and not once have they told me I had to be here 15 minutes before the adoption time so I can adopt a pet. Horrible service and they never tell you what you have to do if you want to adopt when you call and when you ask directly.
Terrible people who work and run this shelter. first I took my cat who had a cyst and because we were low income they performed the operation with no anesthetics. now we found a baby kitten whos leg is dangling bleeding with bone showing in perris, ran her over there and they didnt even want to look at her. they told us we need to take her to San Jacinto. No compassion what so ever from people who claim to care about animals the most. dont bother with them if you care about you pet
Please dont post hateful reviews just because your not happy with your service or its a kill shelter. When you post stuff like that you are helping kill more dogs and cats. Please support kill shelters. I AM PROUD TO HAVE GOTTEN MY DOG.he was on the kill list thank you moreno valley shelter for helping find my best friend!! I love him so much i will be going to get more dogs in the furture. Love to Moreno Valley animal shelter. Please dont hate because they truly do their best.
Went into the shelter to check on two animals that had been found in the neighborhood. Woman at the front desk was extremely rude from the get go. In order to get any kind of answer out of her I had to play 20 questions and not to mention as we walked through to see the animals we noticed a puppy that had kennel cough. We mentioned the puppys illness to the front desk and all the woman could say was ok, well there is nothing we can do about it. so I politely asked if there was a quarantine section for sick dogs and she says yes, but it might be full ... ummm ok? can you check maybe or at least ask someone to check on the animal so the other 100 animals dont get sick.so again... I said I know you see these kind of things everyday and you may not be worried, but the people who look at these dogs do care and all she could say was yathe place reeked of urine and feces and the animals were laying in we kennels. incredibly sad
I spoke with a lady on the phone concerning a citation I got for my dogs not being licensed, she was so helpful to me she was kind she was patient she answered every single one of my questions I do not know her name but this lady was phenomenal I called on June 21st Around 10:45 a.m. whoever was on staff during that time is amazing.
I am tired of being harassed by animal control several times weekly OVER A NEIGHBOR DISPUTE. They have never once recorded my dogs barking, never ISSUED a citation, but I am constantly harassed. No one is telling my neighbor that if they do not have viable proof of me violating an ordinance to STOP CALLING. I am going to pursue legal services if this does not stop.
The worst service... Very rude people except for one black man.... I waited all day for one particular dog, the others came in 10 min before... They did a drawing... WHATS up with that... We took the dog to the vet and they would not wait on me... Now Im glad they didnt....I found my forever Vet.... SMH at those rude people...
This place the people were helpful to me unfortunately they were not able to help me out, they are no longer taking owner surrenders but I did see alot of people adopting animals and I heard a nice little story a guy came in bc his do was lost and he came to see if by any chance his dog was there and it brought joy to my heart to see and hear that they did fing him and took him homeI do strongly suggest you do not try to call them on the phone they never answer or call you back I have tried so muchAnd even left messages and still never got back to me so instead I went in

2019-03-09So far process seem smooth getting my dog registered. I like how they have low cost options for families who qualify. 1st, rabbis shot 10$, then licensed 52$, finally spay $78 (low cost qualified 38$) for dogs 0-19 pounds.

2020-03-13Hummmm if theres more than 1 person interested in the same dog, they have you raffle for it with tickets. I like first come first serve better. Other than that, theyre Great!

2021-06-14Ok so first of all they were rude on Saturday. But at 3:54 am this morning Buddy died. He wasn’t my dog but I had to keep him and take care of him for me severely mentally ill best friend. Buddy was good until someone whose dog died of parvo walked in my house two days later Buddy was sick and I watched him die. They came right away the cost should be under 100$ If your dog dies. The lady advised me on how to clean the floors & to not get a dog for a while. I don’t want another dog. He wasn’t my dog but he was my friend. I gave my dog away to my grandkids with autism so I didn’t have a friend and when he came we were friends. Anyway they did their job and I realize they need more volunteers & they need donations. We can’t complain if we don’t help them

2019-11-10Im pretty sure this Animal Shelter is equipped with all the necessities for animals. However they need to be way much more organized when employees know there will be hundreds of people in line for free rabies and free micro chips for their pets. They need some kind of number system. Where its first come first serve system. I believe it would go faster and have much happier customers.

2019-02-09I have been here a couple times and just went yesterday to get my cat neutered. Some workers like Carolina and the vet assistants who give the shots are nice and answer your questions. However, some were rude and they did things so slow. It takes a long time to even drop your pet off for surgery. This animal shelter is definitely not the best.
