The moving company or I need to say the nightmare moving company, is All-Star Moving Company.Let me start with saying that when I called to get info, quote and details of how this company works I spoke Michael who conversated in clear English however when two movers showed up they couldnt say a word of English, looked confused when they saw a couch that needed to be moved- keep in mind that we were using sign language to explain what needs to be moved. These two movers talked to each other in Cantonese and waved their hands, gesturing that they didnt know what to do. Then they attempted to rip my small sectional couch apart - I almost fainted with their actions and asked them to stop as they damaged the piece.I then called Michael the boss and asked him whom has he sent for this moving job? Unfortunately, Michael somehow spoke very poor English and was not the person I confirmed this move and details. I was in complete shock and panic.Michael kept saying something I was not able to understand. I will mention that these un-professionals came with a substantial dirty truck.The movers were babbling something, but it was impossible to understand.Also, these people showed up without any moving supplies or boxes, and they were dressed like they were going to a beach in flip-flops.I fired them on the spot and hoped that everyone who reads this review would not have a day I had and stress that Im still trying to get over.Michael sent over a very appealing contract that included no hidden fees, professional movers, moving equipment and boxes.Do not trust them -they came empty-handed, confused, unable to communicate in English, and very lazy and rude! I would not trust positive reviews for this company. Most likely, they come from friends and family. Before choosing this company, read negative reviews first because it will give you a true idea of how it operates and what to expect if you hire them.
Asked for a quote and Michael emailed me back within minutes. Was available in short notice. 2 guys showed up on time in a big white moving truck. They started packing and wrapping everything up. They are moving fast so some boxes and items fell, but you get what you pay for. $99/hr plus truck rental fee of $59 to move from Fremont to Campbell. Would def use them again. Had no issues with the language barrier, they knew enough English to get the job done.
I booked All Star Moving Service back at the end of January. Their price was the most reasonable and they were quick with their responses. They even let me reschedule last minute because it was pouring! We lived 10-20 minutes from the new place and it took them under 2 hours to wrap and load all our furniture to the big moving truck, unload and unwrap all of said furniture up stairs into the exact spots we requested, and disassemble/reassemble our bed. Our dresser was also a monster in it of itself (my boyfriend and I had trouble moving it to the garage alone), so I was surprised they were able to move it up stairs so easily without scratching it. It all was surprisingly quick considering how I saw some bad reviews on their time. They were sweating going up and down those stairs nonstop! The people who left negative reviews probably did no prep for the move themselves and/or had an excessive amount of stuff (friendly reminder to others that, on average 1-2 days to pack up a ONE BEDROOM! You cannot expect 2 people do it all for you within a few hours, professional or not!)All in all, I highly recommend for the price and will be calling them again!
They did a two bedroom apartment move for me. I have my things all packed up and ready to go. They just came in on time, grabbed my things immediately, and finished the job at a very reasonable amount of time.Very satisfied with their work. They are prepared and Michael is quick to respond. Good price and very efficient with their work.. My move was done in a few hours.
All Star Movers were prompt to respond to my request to move 1 bedroom apt. Their price was quite reasonable and their service was professional. They were hard working, job orientated, and took extra care to wrap items. Roughly a 15 mile move that took 3 hrs as they had to move items up 1 flight of stairs. They placed items where we instructed. We had all items ready to move but if you arent packed up - it could take much longer. After mixed reviews, we were pleasantly surprised that the price and service ended up being a great value. We would like to recommend them if you are on a budget and thank them for helping make our move less stressful.
We decided to go with movers to help us move a handful of heavier items from our apartment. It took 4 hours to move 3 couches, a dresser and our bed. They disassembled our electronic bed and our couch to move it but then didn’t reassemble it. Worst of all the movers severely damaged our almost new couch. There are scratches in the fabric and dings in the wood frame. We asked for an invoice and receipt to show proof of payment and the movers indicated they were unable to provide us one and were very insistent on being paid in cash rather than card. Upon contacting Michael just as others noted he took the side of the movers saying how do you know that they were responsible for the damage to the couches?l and refused to pay. We asked about them having insurance and they completely ignored the question which made us believe they are operating without it and is quite unprofessional as a moving company especially. We have yet to hear back from them after several messages and call but will likely be looking to file a claim against them to cover the damages to our furniture. STAY AWAY! I would call this nothing short of a SCAM especially after now seeing some of these other reviews.
I received a text from the manager/planning person, Michael. I had online requested a specific time. He wanted to start a different time on my move. Then keep pushing different times. He was not mean about, it seems like he was not listening or understanding what time I needed movers. I ended up repeating in the texts what exact time I could start the move three times. I was very close to ending the conversation and looking for other movers; however I appreciated his quick response.I think he was concerned about move time and coordinating his schedule, which I understand. He did agree to a time within 30 minutes of my need and I decided to go with this company. I will keep this post updated.UPDATE: They were moderately professional and worked quickly. None of the movers gave me the creepy vibes. All the movers were nice. They packed my belongings in an organized and safe fashion and nothing broke expect a piece of glass top (which I knew need more wrapping but I didnt wrap it more myself.) Their shoes did not drag in a bunch dirt. Some of the other reviewers mentioned a language barrier; it was not a big deal.This could be why the texting took a bit more time to communicate. Two out of the three spoke minimal English, and the third was English fluent. I did not hire people to help me with my move to speak great English. I hired them to be clean, safe, professional, and quick: which they were and did great. I will be using them again in the future. Thank you All Star Moving!UPDATE: I have used them TWICE. Its my first time to use a mover. I wasnt wrong with my choice. Michael is very efficient in returning my calls and texts. The movers were very professional, they were able to fit my huge boxes and furnitures in a 10 x 10 storage. They were very careful with my things, they shrinked wrapped the furnitures, beddings and my fragile mirrors (not to trust them with antiques).I gave them four stars because they have a hard time understanding some of my instructions, as they dont understand English too well. I also think that they should at least have 3 movers instead of 2. We estimated that the move will be for 3 hours but it took us 6 hours to complete the move.
NOT Recommended. (+) arrived on time, courteous. (-) So SLOW! Took them 3 hours to wrap/ load basic 1 bed apartment; I had to help them unload in < 1.5 hours to avoid excessive costs. Language barrier: barely understood English, ignored my request to use front entrance, fought between themselves, took breaks at the truck and several bathroom breaks. Almost comical if it wasnt me paying the bill: $109 x 4 hours + $59 truck fee to move 1 bedroom 1 mile. Owner ignored my complaints. These guys are not professionals. Cant belive others had such good experiences. Please, go with any other movers.
Extremely unprofessional. They completely ignored which entry to the house the landlord wanted us to use. They scratched the side of the house and would not respond when I told him he did it. They cut a hole in my brand new mattress then ignored me for days after I tried to contact them about it then said I waited too long to contact them. The two guys acted like they didn’t speak or understand English when it came time to pay and demanded a tip from me. It was the most humiliating and awful moving experience I have ever had. DO NOT RECOMMEND. highly dissatisfied. On top of everything one of the guys used BOTH the bathroom at my old house as well as the new for upwards of 20 minutes. A bathroom I had never even used myself. Then they charged me for 3 hours when it was barely 2.5.
As mentioned by others the price was a lot cheaper than many other movers I called. The people Michael sent to move our stuff were spot on time, professional and faster than I anticipated. Icing on the cake was they charged only for the time till they unloaded our stuff and didn’t charge for the time needed to drive back (from San Francisco to Fremont only 3 hours including driving time). You definitely want to tip those guys.
I contacted All Star since they were located near me, and this was my first experience using a mover. Two men came, and they had a large enough truck so that they could move all of my stuff from my apartment in one trip. They showed up and got right to work, loading everything I own in 45 min. They even brought plastic wrap for the TV and other items, and helped me pack small things into big refrigerator boxes. All in all they finished in under 2 hours and I didnt have to lift anything. It was under $200 for all the moving, which is probably the lowest rate in the bay area.
These guys are fantastic. Our family have used their services twice and have zero complaints. First time around we chose them because they had the best rates in the Bay Area. They always arrive right on time and get their job done fast. Nothing has ended up broken and we have had no communication issues. They also text right back when you have questions. Highly recommend this company.
I found out with three weeks notice that my storage unit was being razed for housing (MV/Sunnyvale line). We were very busy but I went on the first weekend and realized units were being broken into with no one on site. I contacted all star movers and they were available on the following monday and I took them. They showed up with a graffittied truck and two wirery guys with second language english.They were wonderful. I was so distracted I gave them the wrong address for the old storage then couldnt find the unit in the new storage. You might think why would I take a recommendation from someone so dumb. But the movers stayed calm and polite, carefully wrapped the things in the load not in boxes, and got me into my new unit including putting some stuff in my car so I could take it to smart station. I gave a good tip but the charges were what I expected.If you arent rich and need help from movers who care about your move, these guys are awesome.

Michael made sure he knew what we needed and kept us in the loop. The price was better than any of the other guys I called. The 2 guys Michael sent to do the job were right on time and did a great job! They are professional and know what theyre doing I definitely recommend them!
DO NOT GO WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!I decided to go with these people because they had the best prices, but it didnt matter because it took 4 TIMES LONGER THAN ANYONE ELSE!!!! I was told the move should take about 2 hours.... 3 at the most. The job took EIGHT HOURS...... FOR A ONE BEDROOM!!! And heres the kicker: THEY WERE TAKING SO LONG I HAD TO TELL THEM TO CUT THE JOB SHORT JUST TO STAY ON SCHEDULE AND BUDGET!This is main reason out of many other reasons why I strongly encourage anyone to go with ANY other service than these guys.

Slow job then they broke my coffee table but claims it was already broken and he told me? With the language barrier he rarely said a anything to me. His assistant was worse couldnt given understand when I said bedroom!@. Proves the old adage you get what you pay for! They also stole my Samsung Tablet less than a year old!

2022-05-04I moved on one of the hottest days of the year. They worked hard! It was our first experience with movers and we were very impressed. We had ordered 2 trucks and 4 movers from All star moving and they were amazing. They arrived a litter early and had the truck in position to start moving promptly at 9am. We had packed everything onto the main floor and garage for easy exiting, and we were out of the house and moving to the new house by 12:30. They were so quick and efficient. They had everything in the new house by 3:30pm and that was with a break for lunch. They were funny and personable. We really enjoyed our experience. We couldnt of done it without them. I would highly recommend

No hidden fees/they were upfront with costs. I can’t recall the names of my movers but they were two awesome dudes - super communicative and easy to work with. 2022-07-14The most professional movers we have ever worked with. They showed up on time for both pick up and delivery, packaged everything diligently and arrived to our new place within the stated window (~10 days). The cost was reasonable and the estimate was accurate such that we did not pay a single dollar more on moving day. All of our belongings were intact except for a couple of broken glasses (self-packed). This was a huge improvement from the last movers we used cross country who took over a month and a half to arrive, only for us to discover that some of our furniture was broken!

2022-07-14I am very impressed with All star moving services. The rates are unbeatable and the customer service is spot on. My belongings were delivered very quickly and the movers were extremely helpful and nice. They update you every day on your shipment and work arund your schedule for pickup and delivery. Moving packaging is available for a nominal fee also. I purchased a few items from home depot, like sofa covers and bubble wrap, but they have everything you need if you want them to do all the work for you. I highly recommend them .

2022-07-10Amazing experience. It was our first time having movers and they were literally so fast. Moved an entire 2 bedroom apartment from storage and unloaded into our new apartment in the middle of downtown SF within 3 hours. They were also very flexible with timing, great communication prior to moving, and one of the best pricing in the city. Highly recommend.

2022-04-20Holy cow! I had such an amazing experience with all star movers! They were quick to get not only my bedroom furniture, but my living room furniture as well! All within 2 1/2 hours !! They put together my iron bed for me and Detached and re attached the mirror to my (insanely heavy ) dresser. 10/10!!

2022-04-17I can’t say enough about my experience with All Star Moving Services. Today morning, my truck was reserved, but the selected mover ditched me. Searching frantically for the first available mover online, I approached All Star Moving Services and their answer was an instant yes. The best part was that it was an end to end service including a truck that was much cheaper considering the fuel surcharges on regular services now a days. So, I went ahead and cancelled my truck reservation. The movers were professional and reached right on time. After looking at their truck I was amazed to see an automated lift equipped with dollies, ropes, tapes, large moving blankets, haul master. I seriously doubt having received all of this from my truck rental reservation at this price. I also felt like why I ended up covering all my furnitures.Coming back to the move, since movers were in the clock, work began right away. Within 1.5 hrs everything was loaded and arranged. The movers even helped loading a few stuffs into our car. It took 30 mins to reach the destination and post that within the next hour unloading was complete. Apparently after that, I finished dinner and was back home reassembling stuffs. And that was an hour before we were thinking of originally returning the rental truck. I have had enough experience moving around, but this was hands down the most effortless and easy.

2022-06-22I’m writing this review almost a year after my move, because my partner and I still talk about how amazing this move was. We packed everything ourselves and really just needed someone to load it up and lug it across town to our (then) new place. They showed up on time, worked hard, and finished this job incredibly fast. There was a little language barrier, but they were very patient with me. We can’t recommend them enough!

2022-06-13Horrible. I’ve moved 5 times in my 20s and never had this unprofessional moving experience like theirs. They were slow, unresponsive and sent only one small truck for 2Bed 2Bath apartment. On site they asked me pack multiple items; ceramic dishes, closet items and others, which I never ever done that before with previous 5 movers. Then they forgot 30% of my stuff and left them on my old apartment, which i have to rent my own truck and move by myself for extra 2 more days. Save your time and stress by not choosing this company.
