This is a establishment i would occasionally visit with friends to have a good bowl / enjoy a drink after my shift because i wouldn’t want to travel to far from base. tonight , however. they refused to serve me the drink i asked for insisting that i was intoxiated. but , in reality hadn’t had a single drink & was just tired from a long day. they did serve me a lighter drink , but continued to refuse to serve me the beverage i asked for.when i called to address the issue later after leaving in a polite manner , it was returned with a laugh which was extremely unprofessional. now , with all that being said. i’ve met kind staff there & it’s a very cool place to kick it back with a couple of co - workers. i just don’t think i’ll be returning anytime soon . .
The restaurant food is ok at best, the wait staff are some of the rudest people Ive dealt with in a long time. Ive been multiple times over the past few weeks, and other than one younger gentleman, all have been older ladies who are rude and get your orders wrong. Ive asked for teriyaki chicken TWICE and both times I received plan chicken. They would rather sit at the tables and chat with thier friends than wait on customers.
I see from the other reviews that my issue is not isolated. The cashier, a blonde (ish) Filipino lady acts like shes doing you a favor just being there with a scowl on her face. They cant figure out how to make eggs. I would have to order raw to not get hard. They must be butter poor too because my toast was always practically dry. I stopped going here and just go to aunt Emmas on National CITY Blvd instead.
We went to a bowling alley in nearby Chula Vista and bowling for 3 members of my family ran us about $80 dollars. At Admiral Robinson Bowling 4 of us bowled for a quarter of that. Plus the premium beer was ice cold and the price was right. No more chasing waterfalls Ill be sticking to the rivers and gutters that Im used to.

2022-01-12Super dope workers, especially aj, but lanes have long oil pattern so if you plan on using anything lighter than a 13, good luck getting the hooks you want.

2021-06-21You will need to be able access base to bowl here.. Nice bowling alley overall. Somewhat crowded on a Sunday afternoon. They have random bumpers scattered through the lanes. I counted a total of 40 lanes.Inside they have a full bar with beer and hard liquor. They also have a typical takeout place that serves hamburgers, hot dogs and some quesadillas. Parking is ample. Prices are going to be much cheaper here compared to places off base.

2022-05-29Not Admiral Robinson Recreational Center, it’s the Auto Center. It’s amazing their staff is absolutely wonderful and full of advice.

2019-10-31A pretty good bowling alley overall! The food has a decent selection, I wouldnt say it is amazing food but it isnt bad, mainly average for a bowling alley. There is a huge number of lanes here and they are all well maintained for cheap! Parking is crowded during working hours on base but after hours there is plenty of space.

2018-09-02Came to the bowling shop here to pick up my first ball. Got a pretty decent price on a package deal (Your choice of a ball, bag and a selection of shoes) and the man running the store is very knowledgeable, as he answered questions I had and clarified everything to make my purchases worth the while. After purchasing my package, my buddy and I proceeded to play a few games to try my new ball out. The price for games are reasonable and the lanes were always kept clean. While we were playing, we got ourselves some food and a pitcher of beer and had a great time bowling the night away. The atmosphere is family friendly and is a perfect place to bowl, newcomers and pros alike. There is also a bar and an indoor and outdoor lounge with pool tables set up. My friends and I return here regularly to bowl every weekend and I would highly recommend coming here!

2018-08-19Nice bowling alley with great rates. A lane and three pairs of shoes cost us $25. The lanes are in good condition. The staff is friendly. There is a decent selection of food to choose from. I recommend the Filipino lumpiang and the pizza. Be sure to get a pitcher of beer as well!

2016-09-10A pretty decent bowling alley that has everything you need for a good time. My only gripe is the food sucks, pretty low quality but the cost is low so you cant complain too much. Bar is pretty well stocked and the bartenders are really nice, as well as everyone else that works there.

2017-12-10Nice bowling alley on base with good prices. Food took forever to get though and I didnt have time to eat during my lunch break. May have just been an off day for them though because I heard some decent things, and the food did taste good (quesadilla), hard to go wrong with those!

2020-01-14Lots of lanes. We went on a Sunday and the beer and food was provisioned by the small snack bar which wasnt fully staffed. Wasnt terrible, just took awhile to get a beer. Bowling was fun.

2017-04-19Two stars only because its so cheap. Staff basically ignored us as we approached the counter (with no one else in line). Lanes had to be reset by hand by the attendant four times (poor guy but at least he hustled). Food cheap but god awful - great if you like undercooked grease cuisine. You get what you pay for at this place. Not going back, not recommended.
