If you live in the mission, this place is very conveniently located. the guy was super nice and within 20 minutes I had a notarized document as well as passport photos ready to go. dont let the location deceive you--this is a very nice place and they do a good job with passport photos (including taking a bunch of pictures with an SLR and then letting me choose which one i liked). they will even touch up your passport photos if you so desire...but i felt that was a little above and beyond what i needed.
I shipped a FedEx package to Rwanda and the help I received was outstanding. The gentleman assisted me in packing documents and photos into a priority envelope, taping them down to prevent shifting in transit. He was polite, good humored, VERY efficient in picking the best price/shipper. THANK YOU SIR!!!

These guys notarized a contract for me. Their service was prompt, friendly, and I didnt get any weird unnecessary questions. They even have photocopiers and UPS/Fedex/DHL/USPS right there, so I could copy and send my contract right when we were done. Id definitely go here again if I needed something else notarized, and by the way their passport photo lighting set and photo equipment was super nice.
Finger printing - fine. Selling us notary services that mean nothing while convincing us that this is the proper process - not awesome. The clerk was so convincing that buying his services was the correct way that we not only wasted our time and money but also didnt find out the proper way until after getting our applications rejected.
This place is dreadful. If you want to print something it’s .$20 a page—that’s fine—but he’ll charge you $3 +usage time to use the computer. You can’t print without it. He was super defensive when I questioned the price.Pickup cutoff times are also much earlier than other places, so you’ll need to take that into account.I won’t be coming back here. Neither should you.

DO NOT MAIL HERE. We had to overnight a package here due to a family emergency. For some reason, the UPS store sent the package to the back desk and not into the UPS locker on site. The owner would not release the package to us, even though we had valid ID. He was rude and unhelpful. We are locals and come in all the time. NEVER AGAIN
Don’t waste your time. They never answer their phone and there’s no way to leave a message. Maybe they’re not aware of the fact that there’s a pandemic and that someone may want to verify their hours of operation? I can only imagine how shoddy the rest of their services must be.
Great for US and International passport photos of all sizes. Very experienced and knowledgeable staff. Went there for Canadian passport pics. Great service. In and out in 5 min.
We had four boring, tedious documents to notarize on a Saturday morning. The person here was professional, alert throughout, diligent and friendly. He then helped us get the document out that day FedEx.We definitely will come here anytime we have documents to notarize or any other service we need which they offer.
Very professional and helpful service for notary, passport photos, and printing. They are adhering to COVID precautions, so expect a small wait. But its worth the time.
Update: they worked with me to address my concerns. ThxTerrible experience. Prices don’t line with fedex online. Filed a complaint with Fedex. Fraud.

This place knows how to exploit. $3.25 to print 1 piece of paper. $20 for 16oz of hand sanitizer. Be sure to know what youre paying for before you pay.

Horrible phone service. Really hard to call to ask a question and not get i. If you press 6 or 5 or anything else you will hear just robot with useless info you cant skip.

2021-11-03I worked with them to ship and package a ceramic urn that I had already wrapped in one box. I asked the woman who works here to wrap again and put it in a larger box for extra protection. I paid for a hodgepodge of shipping supplies and the box, in addition to FedEx shipping, only to have the urn break in transit.This is of course upsetting, but what was worse was when I told the woman about it, she didnt apologize or offer any solution because I hadnt purchased insurance.Throughout our conversation she repeated that it wasnt her fault, and then even went as far to blame me for not wrapping the first box correctly.She has been challenging to work with in previous transactions. I had decided to cancel another transaction with them because they refused to insure a painting I was shipping - which she didnt tell me until after she finished ringing it up. She brought that up during this conversation.A show of humanity around the sensitivity of the object, and an apology would have been appreciated. I would not trust this company to ship or pack anything for you - and would be wary of FedEx

2020-12-04Ive been going to the San Francisco store for 3+ years. the staffs there are all super friendly and beyond helpful. whoever is working will always help me find whatever i need (i.e. best rates to send stuff out international or domestic, measure for the must snug box and make sure its protected and wrapped well etc.). ive never had any errors with my packages sent out by A+ Mailboxes. the manager Dylan whom i correspond with via email is super responsive. he always replies within 1 hour (if not immediately!) to my questions/requests. a few times theyve helped me with various passport photos too and theyve all turned out perfect.thanks so much! very highly recommended!

2019-02-01I should have read all the other 1 star reviews.I took my baby here to get international passport photos taken. It took an hour, which I was surprised about - lot of back and forth between the staff and someone on the phone who wasnt in the office about how to take the photo properly. Understand its for a baby but Ive had it taken elsewhere and it didnt take as long.They put the stamp on the back as required to document the photo location. However, the staff then put both photos in an envelope themselves. At home, I realize the photos stamps were smudged and called back. She said they had one photo left and could reprint another (did not talk about charging extra).The next day, I went to pick up the photos and was not told about any charges. When I saw the receipt when I got home, I was charged another $10 (so total $32) for 2 photos. The person took away my original smudged photos.When I called, the staff said that she had told me I would be charged half -- I really was not told this.To top it off, when I mailed my item, I asked for ups and he told me FedEx would be cheaper. When I got the FedEx price, I was surprised and asked for the ups price. Then the ups price was $30 cheaper... So cant even trust their guidance here.Im really upset about the photos and feel that they charged me for photos where they made a mistake in printing, charged me where I was not told (Im positive) and then took away my original photos so I only had 2 photos for $32.

2020-01-02In addition to being my to-go spot for printing any standard paper size images and forms, I ship all my paintings from here. The guys who work here are beyond helpful and have prepped both large and small paintings for me, always making sure there’s enough padding and taking special care to protect the corners. I always feel attended to in a thoughtful and respectful manner whether I’m getting something printed, shipping something, or getting papers notarized. I really love this spot, it’s tiny and yet it does pretty much everything.

2020-12-21The Team at A+ really provides A+ service. Needed to get 10+ documents notarized - reached out via email and aways received a prompt reply, set-up and appointment and prepared for a 2 hour experience, but they were so organized and prepared that they got me out of there in 30 min. Really impressed and beyond happy with the service and attention to detail. Thank you!

2014-09-02We could not be happier with the service we received at A Foto!We have rented a mailbox from them for the past year, and during that time we have also used their passport photo, printing, computer, packaging, notary public and mailing services. They have always been courteous, prompt, and communicative, and have gone the extra mile to provide the best service (including receiving emails notifying us when a package arrived). We highly recommend them!

2014-07-20Had to get passport photos in a hurry, had a nice experience here...little things like having the correct pre-printed overnite label for the passport agency (with different address for expedite service which I didnt know...). reviewed my application to makes sure I filled out all the fields, and verified the correct fees; this was a nice touch that I didnt expect and was appreciated. quick, easy, and professional service... will... bring me back here again.
