My wife and i have made it a tradition to stop by this place after she gets her nails done once a month this is the first time ive been disgusted eating one of their cookies i had a rotten taste and i found paper in my mouth. Strange enough the paper tasted really strange and it made my mouth a little numb for a few hours.
This place has improved since my first about 3 months ago. The variety of baked goods has improved. They still need to be better staffed. Theres always only 1 cashier and 1 barista, therefore slow line. But for the most part, it has improved and their baked goods are second to none! Always love 85°! Enjoy! 😊September 2021Okay, lets just list out the areas that can be improved by better management. But before doing so, lets paint a picture. This branch looks abandoned and if that is the case, where the branch is closing, something should be mentioned because it gives an awful first impression and doesnt do justice to the normal 85° that we all LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! 😊Here are the shortcomings:1. Lack of variety of baked goods, besides cakes2. Understaffed: always only 1 at the register and 1 making drinks. SUPER SLOW3. Cleanliness: again, just picture abandonedBack to positive, the staff, although shorthanded, are very nice and pleasant. For what its worth, ENJOY the delicious baked goods!P.S.: the new MUST HAVE is Mixed Berry Tart 🎉
While this place looks and feels like a metro station cafeteria, it has a great selection of breads and beautiful cakes. No pre-made sponge covered with colored sugar paste, but true goodness. The coffee and tea are nicely brewed. The place is clean and spacious. Bring your own pillows: the single seat sofas are hard as a rock! NO WIFI.
This place does not live up to its standards. I usually go to the 85° by Diamond Jamboree and they have the best pastries and selection. I also have never had an issue with their pastries but today I stopped by and got my usualy berrytale favorite and what I get is empty pastries with no bread and no filling. I am so disappointed at the way these were made. And I wouldve understood if maybe it was just one but no it was all of them... see picture
I adore this wonderful place. Their drinks are delicious, and their pastries are even better! They have a huge selection of baked goods, ranging from pastries to cookies. With such a diverse range of types and flavors to choose from. I tried taro for the first time, and it has since become one of my favorite pastries.Their coffee is the best component. Their sea salt coffee is a unique take on coffee, with a sweet, sour, and deep flavor.
Only a few guests inside picking up bread, desserts and drinks to go compared to the crowded one on Jamboree. Bread may have been put into plastic bags while still warm, since condensation inside, but tastes yummy.11/12/2021 Changed to 5 stars. Still fairly uncrowded. They are keeping baked products out, bagging when cool. Love their variety of savory and sweet pastries!
My family had an extremely miserable experience at the Tustin location on 5th Aug 6.30pm. I usually do not write bad reviews but this affected us badly. It was my 2 year olds birthday and we had prebooked the cake online with a message on it. We received the order confirmation and we went to pick up the cake before cake cutting and then the person in charge came and simply told us sorry we dont have the cake. They then told us to pick any cake which is available there at the time. When we asked them the reason for this mistake, they told the morning shift person gave the cake to some other customer by mistake. Even after hearing their irresponsible answer neither me nor my husband reacted thinking that we can try to get new writing on any available cake as mistakes can happen. But then when we asked them why you did not inform us over call ahead so that we will get some time to figure it out rather than putting us on trouble at the very last moment. We were informed when we were at the store to pick up. For that question, they simply answered they were busy. Does they actual realize who makes them busy - It is the Customer who makes them busy. Later they also said there is nobody to give us a writing on the cake so we took a full refund. We had to run searching for bakery open during late evening with a bakery person who can actually write on the cake and my child was very fortunate to get a good cake from near by Albertsons. Please note we have bought cakes from 85C before also but we lost that faith now. Think before ordering Cake online from Tustin 85C as you will end up running behind other bakers at last moment.
The baked goods at this place are amazing. I gave four stars instead of five because at 7:40 a.m. on Sunday they werent open yet. Most bakeries are open early for everyone that is out and about. I waited till 8:00 a.m. when they opened only to find the one item I really wanted to try and which was highly recommended wasnt available. I wanted a strudel which wasnt going to be ready for nearly another two hours. I did get some other warm out-of-the-oven items which were delicious. They still lost out on a sale.
So happy that they opened a location close to me! Self serve bakery with both sweet and savory options. My favorites are the egg tart and the garlic cheese bread. I ordered a hot chocolate but it tasted kind of watery and wasn’t that hot, but their iced coffee with sweet cream is so good! This was my dad’s first time at this bakery and he was amazed at how good everything tasted!
Some of the breads here are good. The cakes are way over price and not good. I bought two different cakes and honestly you can buy better cakes from a grocery store. The bread was dry and the taste for both cakes was just ok nothing you should be paying over $30 dollars for like I did both times. They do have a good coffee bread that is great tasting and a couple of other breads that we enjoy from there but the price is high for everything they sell here. I think overall this is just not worth the money I personally think you are better of at Costco.
Ive been to this location several times, and all the experiences were mediocre. I would just to just stay away as there are plenty of other similar venues nearby.Today I had a rather negative experience.1. Cashier wasnt really paying attention resulting in a tea with no milk.2. When I got the tea, I picked up the cup with syrup on the exterior...3. The boba inside was more of a sludge...85s fast expansion has really cost them their quality.2 stars as the person making drinks at least fixed mine for me.
Been waiting and wanting this place of business to open for sometime. I stopped in today and saw a delightful myriad of beautiful specialty breads and pastries with several tables to sit and enjoy with coffee. Most is a self serve area/setup where you choose your bread/pastry items and pay at the cashier up front. I made a couple of choices and took them home. Both were quite good. I gave it a 4 star because a complete list of ingredients are not posted with the item and if youre not familiar with Taiwanese baked goods like myself, then you dont really know what youre getting. You need to snag an employee and ask and they were few and far between. Most were busy behind the counter. But everything looked beautiful. Hard to not want to try nearly everything! I imagine I will eventually get there!
This is my first time writing a review for this location even though my husband and I have been going to this location for a year. Its a bit over due but better late than never. Manny, Andrew, Belem, Seira, Karen took care of us like VIP. Just want to give them thumbs up for the everyday service given to my milk tea addiction. Keep up the good work.
Sea salt coffee and pastries are the best. So far, this location isnt too crowded. Well see how it goes once they have their grand opening. As of now, theres only one line for everything, so even if youre just getting a drink you have to wait with the folks buying pastries.
Im a very picky eater and hard to find things i really like when it comes to food and especially pastries. This pastry shop has gone beyond my taste pallets with all the wonderful taste and various flavors. Thats just on pastries and now the boba tea is right up there too. Not a place for people with allergies to food to be honest alot of wheats and grains and soy ,egg, nuts and more allergens but not for me thankfully. My favorite items are the coconut squares and the rosemary jasmine boba.... Its a self serve pastry place and lots of indoor sitting and very clean.
I like 85°cafe. The pastries are good but I guess they didnt have a big selection at this location at this time. I been to a few this year and it seems other locations have more variety. Any how service was good, coffee and latés are tasty ohh and the pastries are too😊
They have a decent beef quesadilla. I would also recommend the sashimi slushy to any resident of Dallas. It is delicious. Even tourists should come here for the night, rooms are only 69 dollars. If you’re a visitor this is like the Houston visitors center. Have a good trip!
Decided to try the Tustin location (instead of the flagship Irvine Diamond Jamboree). Experience very disappointing. Tustin location was out of most items like Black Forest cake, and other famous items of this franchise. Food looked more stale too. This location may close if demand and supply not met.
Such disorganized stores. I drove 20 minutes for boba and bread. The line took 15 minutes as they didn’t have enough employees to take orders, the bread was old maybe from yesterday and they were out of boba! You can put a sign up if you are out so the person doesn’t have to wait so long.
My family and I always go here for the sweet treats at 85 degrees Celsiuseverything from the garlic bread to the cheesecake to the Sweet buns to the coffee is exceptional the price point is great the customer service is good fast and friendly and I always get my order right

2021-11-03One of my favorite bakeries where you can find great pastries, cookies, cakes, drinks (tea and coffee) and customer service. You grab a tray and tongs to get what you want. The cakes and drinks you have to ask for when you get to the front. Lots of asian style pastries. Some sweet, some savory and some are sweet and savory. You cant go wrong here. Towards the end of the night the selection is not so great just like every bakery so dont wait too long because you might not get what you want. You can also place online orders. Ive tried it all and there is very little that I wouldnt get again. Dont waste time. Head over and give them a try. Im sure itll be one of your favorites.

2022-04-05I picked up a tiramisu cake for my birthday here, and just like other 85 degree bakeries, the flavor and quality was consistent. Very tasty and well made. Parking here is alot better than at the Diamond Jamboree location, which is great. One ping on their score however, is the cleanliness of their counters and tables. Every time Ive stopped by, their counters and empty tables look dirty and not as clean or wiped down like other locations Ive frequented. Aside from that, pastries seem consistently good.

2022-02-28Very nice, large bakery with excellent selection of breads and pastries of different kind. Went there Sunday around 11:30am and was not too crowded. I will shop there again. Recommend.

2022-03-12It offers a variety of delicious baked goods, but I have to be mindful when eating here; I only eat here a few times a month to manage my health.Treat eating here as if youre celebrating something for yourself.

2022-05-15I just love the shop! I dont really like Asian desserts but their Boba is very good and for a reasonable price of 5.55 (mango peach with Boba add on)

2022-05-24Good experience. I typically go to this location for their boba tea drinks before heading to a game at the local rec park. They are friendly and the drink is made well every time.

2019-02-02This 85c bakery is like express version of the one on Irvine. This one has way better parking! This spot has more of a coffee shop feel to it. The bread appeared to be fresher as well (warm). Plenty of parking and youre in n out here fast.

2018-10-16Excellent!! This is first time ever a bakery cafe receives such a high score of us! The amount of fat and suger is high in their products but they serve coffee and late without suger and with non-fat milk giving you kind of balance. The design of the packages with their logo, the time that staff spend to taking care of each customer, the idea and the concept etc. receives our highest rate! Congratulation to the team of the 85 Bakery Cafe and the owner!

2022-06-19I did not like the 85° iced coffee. Had a funky taste to it. I couldnt even finish it... had to throw it away.
